Hello, Internet.
After watching the ufotable adaptations of Fate, I've grown quite fond of the franchise, and especially the kinds of stories that can be told through Holy Grail Wars. A really big interest of mine are Tabletop RPGs like D&D, which I've been playing for six years, so I tried to find a way to be able to adapt a playable Holy Grail War within a TTRPG. I am unaware how many people here are familiar with these kinds of games, but I still wanted to share some of my progress to see if the community might think I got the whole "vibes" of Fate right.
So, first off, I'm using the highly-malleable TTRPG "Fate Core". It is completely unrelated to type moon and anything nasuverse, but I couldn't help myself due to the name of the thing, and because it claimed to be able to be so modifiable that it can run any setting. This is what I wanted to put to the test.
What makes it infinitely malleable is its main mechanic: aspects. Adjectives, sentences, catch phrases, and traits that are written into the character and can be called upon for an advantage. There's the High Concept that defines you, a Trouble that can be Compelled to either give you a disadvantage, or to determine your course of action.
For this game, I'd allow for players to choose whether they'd want to be a Servant or a Master, so the next Aspect for servants would be their class. A Saber, for example, would have "Powerful Melee warrior. Adept at swordsmanship". Every class has their static Aspects, and they can be Invoked in any given situation to gain a better result than what the dice offer you. For Masters, I felt fitting that their first other aspect should be their wish. It is both a driving force and a source for conflict.
The next aspect would be the name of the Noble Phantasm for the Servants, or the signature Magical Discipline( those found on the Type Moon wiki), or ability from the Masters. This serves as an extra aid whenever they want to show off, or to determine some things the players could do based on their proficiency with these.
I've mentioned that one can Invoke these Aspects, or be Compelled by them, but that comes at a cost, called Fate Points. Everyone starts a session with 3 minimum, and you pay Fate Points to Invoke aspects to better your situation, or to compel someone else. Should you be compelled by anyone(even yourself), you gain a Fate Point. There is also the option to Pay a Fate Point to reject a compel, or to declare an aspect on the setting. All of these traits apply to aspects, but I found them really useful to apply as a Homebrew rule for Command Spells as well. You can have 3 of them throughout the game, and they work Just like Fate Points, except one's servant can't reject them.
Now, to handle the Noble Phantasms, I've split them into 3 steps, each costing one Fate Point: 1- the signature move 2- an upgrade to whatever roll the move uses by using a variant rule I found called "Strange Fate"(which reminds me of Strange Fake and I love), where one of the 4 fudge dice is replaced with a d6, allowing rolls to go up to +9 without modifiers. And, finally, 3- to give an aspect to the target, whether it's the destruction of a structure, or something like lingering damage, etc.
For Reality marbles, since they change the whole scenario upon activation, It costs two to first use them, and then one can upgrade the rolls using Strange Fate.
Fate Core has no stats, but instead relies on a skill piramid that one can easily modify. I've only added a Mana skill to determine how good of a Mage the Masters are, and how much strain on their mana reserves the Servants are. This skill gives the Servants a static bonus (that can be negative) to their noble phantasms, or their spells should they be a caster, but it also allows for us to add Mana Boosts, or Mana Transfers, affecting one roll of their overall skills
For spells and extra abilities, I'm allowing players to pick trained disciplines equal to their mana score. Again, I've defined these disciplines based on those that show up on the Type Moon wiki. Here, rules get very loose. Anyone can come up with ways they use their magic as a sort of flavour to their skill rolls, but they can also come up with bigger spells with bigger effects. The simple solution is to have them cost Fate Points or "Stress"( Fate's alternative to HP) to use. This is where Fate's trait of prioritizing the fiction and story over the mechanics really shines.
And that's pretty much it! I mean, honestly, there is a lot more, and I will put out there that I've included variants for Rulers, Watchers, Avengers, Pretenders, Pseudo-Servants, Vessels for the Grail and for Masters who aren't mages. However, I wouldn't like to overwhelm y'all with all of it. What one can take away from this is that my Fate TTRPG system basically just works to make a character within the Nasuverse, and what one does with them afterwards is up to the players. I'd be really keen to hear thoughts and opinions, critiques and suggestions, even if you're unfamiliar with TTRPGs in general. I'm sharing it here mostly to see opinions on how well this could be considered to be an adaptation of the Holy Grail Wars into a TTRPG.

¡Hola estudiantes! Buenos días! Welcome to Spanish Sunday! It's a part of Spanish Weekend (still a working title) where we deepen our Spanish knowledge a bit more than before. How is your Spanish Weekend going so far? I hope it is going well. Today, we're continuing our lesson on talking about our likes and dislikes in Spanish. Let's begin.
But first, ¿Qué hora es? What time is it? For me, I'd say, "Son las once menos una." What time is it for you? Say it out loud in Spanish.
Okay. Let's continue with our lesson.
To ask someone whether they like to do a specific activity, use the following sentence construction, "¿Te gusta ....?" (Do you like to ...?) or literally, "Does it please you to ...?" Use the infinitive form of the verb (AR, ER and IR ending) to complete the question.
For example A - "¿Te gusta bailar?" - (Do you like to dance?) E- "Me gusta bailar." (I like to dance). F- "No me gusta bailar." (I do NOT like to dance.)
Okay.
For your first exercise, you are to take your ten activities that you listed in your home-work that you like to do, and pair off with a partner. Ask your partner whether they like to do each of the ten activities you have highlighted, and listen (and write down) their responses.
You can also ask someone why they like or dislike doing an activity in Spanish, by using the question, "¿Por qué?" It means, "Why?" Note well that "¿Por qué?" in this instance is two words, and not one word.
Someone when asked why they like or dislike something can respond with the following sentence construction, "Me gusta porque es ..." (I like it because it is ....) or literally, "It pleases me because it is ..." They can also respond, "No me gusta porque es ..." (I do not like it because it is ...) Note well here that "porque" here means "because" and it is one word, and not two.
There also isn't an accent on the e at the end of this version of "porque." There are four different versions of "por que" and each has its own meaning. Here, we are only examining two, "why" and "because." The other versions of por que will be examined later.
Some helpful adjectives to add to your reason why one may like or dislike an activity are listed below.
  1. Interesante - interesting
  2. Entretenido - Entertaining
  3. Emocionante - Exciting
  4. Importante - Important
  5. Aburrido - Boring
Of course these aren't ALL the adjectives one can use to describe why they like or dislike something. If the adjective you wish to use is not listed above, feel free to use your Spanish dictionary or the internet to find it.
One sample conversation asking someone why they like or dislike an activity is given below.
A - ¿Te gusta comer? - "Do you like to eat?"
E - No me gusta comer. - "I do not like to eat."
A - ¿Por qué? - "Why?"
E - Porque es aburrido. - "Because it is boring."
E - ¿Te gusta comer? - "Do you like to eat?"
A - Sí. Me gusta comer. - "Yes. I like to eat."
E - ¿Por qué? - "Why?"
A - Porque es entretenido - "Because it is entertaining."
Okay.
Now your second activity of the day is to write a dialogue in Spanish between two persons. Pair off with a partner for this activity. In this dialogue two persons are trying to find something to do, but are having trouble agreeing on what they should do because they don't like the same things. In your dialogue, they should explore five activities before settling on one. Also give some reasons why each person does not like some of the activities. Below is an example in English of a sample dialogue.
A - Do you like to read?
E - No. I do not like to read. It is boring. Do you like to dance?
A - No. I do not like to dance. It is difficult. Do you like to sing?
E - No. I do not like to sing. Do you like to write?
A - Yes. I like to write. Do you like to write?
E - Yes. I like to write.
A - Okay.
E - Okay.
The above dialogue can be used as a guide to write your individual dialogues. Of course, this activity should be done in Spanish, and not in English. One pair shall have to come to the front of the class and read their dialogue aloud.

For today's home-work, persons are to write another dialogue listing out ten activities between the two persons speaking, wherein they each express which activities they like and do not like doing, and give some reasons why they like or do not like to do some of the activities.

Under capitalism, according to Marx, returns to property are obtained from the exploitation of labor. The distinction between the use value and the exchange value of labor-power is a key point in his theory. Some on this sub, including me, have documented that Marx and Engels did not think of exploitation as injustice or a moral issue.
This post demonstrates that others read Marx in the same way. Marx condemned capitalism because he objected to the domination of capital.
Zizek is one who said such in 1999.
John Roemer, a leader of analytical Marxism, said something along these lines in 1981:
"The riddle was, how could expropriation of labor come about - for come about it must to explain the huge difference between class fortunes under capitalism - in the absence of a coercive institution for the exchange of labor? Marx constructed an answer to this question with his version of the labor theory of value, surplus value, and exploitation. What is important for our purposes is just this: The task of the theory was to show that the coerciveness of the institution of labor exchange was not a necessary condition for the existence of exploitation of one class by another.
Marx believed that the conditions for the existence of the wage labor market were themselves coercive - that is, workers had no choice but to sell their labor power, as they had been separated from the means of production, and had no alternative for survival. In a precise sense, however, this simply sets certain initial conditions on the bargaining strength of the two parties in the market; it does not obviate the fact, juridically, that participation in the labor market is voluntary, at least in a model of pure capitalism. This is one example of Marx's 'scientific', as opposed to 'utopian', approach to capitalism. He wished to explain the existence of exploitation in a noncoercive model, in the sense described. This is obviously more difficult than appealing simply to the omnipotence of the capitalist class." -- John Roemer (1981), Analytical Foundations of Marxian Economic Theory, pp. 146 - 147
Maurice Dobb, in 1970, noted Marx's engagement with Ricardian socialists:
"It is in the same context that we must understand the importance which Marx attached to his distinction between 'labour' and 'labour-power': an importance essential for the context of exploitation as a key to understanding the bourgeois (or capitalist) mode of production. The role of the labour theory of value in relation to the theory of surplus value is frequently misunderstood. Often this is interpreted as embodying a Lockean 'natural right' principle, to the effect that the product of a man's labour belongs 'of right' to the labourer; whence it is held to follow that the appropriation of part of this product by the capitalist is 'unnatural' and unethical. Hence exploitation is interpreted as a quasi-legal or ethical ethical concept rather than a realistic economic description. If what we have said about labour and the labour process has been appreciated, it should be clear that this is an incorrect interpretation. What could be said, of course, is that the notion of labour as productive activity implicitly afforded the definition of exploitation as an appropriation of the fruits of activity by others - appropriation of these fruits by those who provided no productive activity of their own. But far from being an arbitrary or unusual definition of 'productive' and 'unproductive', this would, surely, meet with general agreement as normal usage of these words. The problem for Marx was not to prove the existence of surplus value and exploitation by means of a theory of value: it was, indeed, to reconcile the existence of surplus value with the reign of market competition and of exchange of value equivalents. As he himself expressed it: 'To explain the general nature of profits, you must start from the theorem that, on an average, commodities are sold at their real values, and that profits are derived from selling them at their real values... If you cannot explain profit upon this supposition, you cannot explain it at all.'"
...The importance which Marx attached to the distinction between labour and labour-power lay precisely in its enabling him to show how there could be inequality and nonequivalence in 'equivalent exchange' - or exploitation and appropriation of what was created by the producers consistently with the theory of value (i.e., by demonstrating how 'profits are derived by selling them at their values')." -- Maurice Dobb, Introduction to Marx (1970a), A Contribution to the Critique of Political Economy.
Lenin made a related point, that Marx did not think workers individually should get all of the value that they create:
"In the Critique of the Gotha Programme, Marx goes into some detail to disprove the Lassallean idea of the workers' receiving under Socialism the 'undiminished' or 'full product of their labour.' Marx shows that out of the whole of the social labour of society, it is necessary to deduct a reserve fund, a fund for the expansion of production, for the replacement of worn-out machinery, and so on; then, also, out of the means of consumption must be deducted a fund for the expenses of management, for schools, hospitals, homes for the aged, and so on..." -- V. I. Lenin, State and Revolution, Chapter V., Sect. 3
Louis Boudin noted that Marx's theory was descriptive in 1907:
"In his great work on capital and interest, where more than one hundred pages are devoted to the criticism of this theory, Böhm-Bawerk starts out his examination of the theory by characterizing it as the 'theory of exploitation' and the whole trend of his argument is directed towards one objective point: to prove that the supposedly main thesis of this theory, that the income of the capitalists is the result of exploitation, is untrue; that in reality the workingman is getting all that is due to him under the present system. And the whole of his argument is colored by his conception of the discussion as a controversy relative to the ethical merits or demerits of the capitalist system... We therefore advisedly stated in the last chapter that in employing the adjectives 'necessary' and 'surplus' in connection with labor or value, it is not intended to convey any meaning of praise or justification in the case of the one, nor of condemnation or derogation in the case of the other. As a matter of fact, Marx repeatedly stated that the capitalist was paying to the workingman all that was due him when he paid him the fair market value of his labor power. In describing the process of capitalist production, Marx used the words, 'necessary' and 'surplus' in characterizing the amounts of labor which are necessarily employed in reproducing what society already possesses and that employed in producing new commodities or values. He intended to merely state the facts as he saw them, and not to hold a brief for anybody." -- Louis Boudin (1907) The Theoretical System of Karl Marx In The Light of Recent Criticism.
These examples, taken almost at random, can be multiplied. One might note the mention of others (Lassalle, Ricardian socialists) who think labor is entitled to the full value that it creates. Also, I am not denying the existence of those who read Marx with mistakes.

Important disclaimer: First off, I do not condone hate, racism, cultural phobias or any discriminatory factors ever. Also, this post has a rather hefty side-quest.
Preface of who is writing this: (read only if you need to know more about the messenger)
I am a neurospicy AUDHD person. I'm a 41 year old male, who has somehow been driven enough to make it in my work life albeit in a vastly different path than most. Not the efficient way, but my way. I take Elvanse for ADHD and Lamictal for Autism. I find them to be very good for me. Your results may vary. I am horribly contradictory to myself all the time in how I work due to different pulls of my neurodivergency. I find this a blessing of sorts as I tend to view both planes of the truth. I have a remarkable talent for drawing schematics of a situation in my head, creating a clear picture, but the drawback to this is, I'm not not very fast at it like they are on television, and sometimes I take a lot of time not being able to understand the subject whils I'm forming the schema of the situation. Once initially formed I can be fast.
And once the schema is finished I can almost call me a topical expert on the subject as I have grasped the cogs and relations of most aspects.
I am sensitive to certain inputs, flickering fluorescent lights drive me insane like something really really horrible, large banging noises not made by me make me really anxious, and I have a weird social battery where as if I'm around silent and passive types my adhd will most likely eat away at them with me being the endlessly active one, but around social types I can be drained in a matter of minutes.
I took like 2 hours fixing this post back and forth.
The topic at hand: The below is how I see other people, and I don't expect everyone to agree with me.
I have noticed that "normies" quite offen irk me for many reasons. I have in my own little bubble coined the term "NPC" in english and another wording in Finnish for these types of people.
It is not exactly easy to describe the entirety of who is in this group, but I will try my best.
The types of people I mean are people who seems to live on systematic autopilot within our system. The people who work however each person does, but in their personal life will be driven by quite varying, but typical pursuits. The algorithn of their life would manifest in pining for wealth, gaining high social status what ever the manifestation is it feels like the algorithm is the same. They go to bars, or kayaking, or certain set things they have in their lives and it just repeats over and over. It's like once the cogs are set, they keep churning (not little habits, but larger picture of their lives).
They give off the impression that no matter how high their ambitions are, they are locked in this framework of the current zeitgeist not seeing much beyond that. Even the intelligent neurotypical people seem rigid in their set of rules that they become somewhat predictable and to some extent annoying. I am however partial in thinking that this narrow beam is exxaggerated inversely with higher social status, but that is merely due to external reasons and opportunities a person has and not due to internal mechanism differences. It also really doesn't matter in this context if they are considered good or bad people (I don't see people that way, ever).
This has honestly nothing to do with levels of IQ or other social hierarchy. It is just like their dreams and ambitions follow a predictable path of wants, needs and without certain overarching perspective of the biggest picture. Each person in their social surroundings find their own level of autopilot. Some are more elaborate.
The NPC's are the ones I think most often forget what we really are, where we are, and how little it all matters in the "personal identity" point of view. Even if they do grasp the consept and are aware of these things when the topic is raised, seldomly will they dwell in such large consepts. All of this is not so much about doing, it's more of a state of mind.
I always find neurodivergent people, no matter how far in to the rabbit hole they are or however small their social bubble is to be as though they have a certain twinkle in their existence that is missing from normies. I am often very drawn in liking this group of people no matter how far their traits are from mine. It's like neurodivergent people get it (within each ones realm of being able to interact in the world). "It" in this case is the special sauce lf life. I can't quite put the right words to describe it. It's that certain factor.
Let's not drag extreme cases of health and injury and impossible situations in to this. We do not dwell in extremes (another normie trait in my experience is to point out the exceptions first).
I dislike neurotypical people for their lack of taking charge of their existence in the sense that they put up with external annoyances more than they should unless faced with a deal breaking situation ( example could be irregular, time consuming processes in the work life for instance). My example here would be myself. Every time I run in to a bad process in the IT centric work environment, I find that normies just drudge through accepting these things with grit teeth even if the things just keep eating away at them. I have a low tolerance for annoyances so I find myself sending stern solution oriented e-mails to whomever and pushing back on each topic I see as a problem. Even if there is a risk of me risking my career. It took me a while to approach these with a solution orientation rather than merely pointing out the bad stuff m. I used to assume the other person also realises what the best solution would be (it took me a while to realise people don't see the big picture as clearly as I do).
Also, another thing I dislike about normies is their capability of advancing in their hierarchies even if they suck at what they do because they are not hindered in how normies communicate and they are often able to give off confidence. Maybe it is a form of psycopathy, and not a normie thing? I might be the best there is for a role I put myself up for, but my fidgeting and eye contact avoidance might seem offputting to others.
Unnecessary Epilogue full of off topic ranting: (not exactly directly related to the topic, but sort of a sidestep in the world of grievances)
Disclaimer 2: Below are academic thoughts on the meaning of words and descriptions of phenomena. In no way is there acceptance of any hate implied.
As a side quest I really get annoyed when terms like racism and [adjective]phobia is used incorrectly or too strongly. Even if they have been in time accepted as the norm. Why is the norm acceptable?
This is probably most related to semantic uses that have been adopted as acceptable.
Racism/phobia: Just a for instance I personally would want to distinguish between race discrimination and cultural discrimination. Further example if someone for some reason does not like Arabs, or Africans, of Nordic people, it is probably never about what their DNA structure is, a good example would be if someone does not like Russians. Russians are not a race neither are Africans. They are noth however being brought up in vastly different environments that can clash with the way you want to be treated and it is hard to combat this especially if they have a stronger will than you.
It is one thing to think of a certain heretary genome is something to discriminate for (racism), but another if you dislike a certain culture for what they bring culturally to the table. And again, merely not liking or being comfortable with someone for these reasons contrasted with using your power affecting their life negatively by barring them certain rights are two different things as well.
Just as a point if someone doesn't want to hang out with a minority, but does not in any way affect the individual in question's ability to move in the world, is not racism.
There probably are legal / definition points to make that disprove my take on this, but this is not a normie way of approaching it. I have a very good example of "everyone in Finland accepting something that is wrong" just to defend my stance. I feel strongly about the below example as to not do so is just autopiloting without meaning.
Words in expressions that literally don't work: In Finland we say
"Laita kengät jalkaasi" =intended meaning put the shoes on (yourself). "Laita pipo päähäsi" - intended meaning put the hat on (yourself). "Laita takki päällesi" - intended meaning put the jacket on (yourself).
The literal semantic meanings of those words are:
Put the shoes inside your foot Put the hat inside your head Put the the jacked on top of yourself.
The word "jalkaan" is the word jalka meaning foot, but the ending means to place inside. "Laita kengät laatikkoon" for example Is put the shoes inside the box"
And this is widely accepted as the norm. Which irks me.
Instead should pivot away from this madness and correct it immediately:
"Laita jalkasi kenkään" - put your feet inside the shoes "Laita pääsi pipoon" - put your head inside the hat.
Although with the hat reference one would probably be moving the hat towards the head, and not the head so if you want to describe moving the object you would say:
"Pue hattusi" where pue is the verb for dressing up. Dress your hat onto yourself.
With the feet reference you could probably say it either way, since both approaches are meaningfully true.
This, among other things is why I dislike people. Just not being consistent, or accurate. And people are not giving it much thought. I have brought this topic up many times, usually resulting in amusement and brushing off the topic as silly.
Hence we circle back to my statement earliers where I am often horribly contradictory to myself. I have a set mind, and I go about in a certain predictable fashion.
One more scientific example that is so cringy I would want to just write a stern letter to all the physisist who use this example.
Phycisists describe gravity, or gravity wells if you will as a large ripple or dent in space caused by a dense object in the fabric of space and time. Sort of like when you place a heavy object on a pillow. And since the curvature is pointing downward into a "hole" of sorts a relatively stationary object will accelerate an fall in to it. And if an object is passing through with speed it's trajectory will follow the edge of the bowl aka the curvature of the warping of space-time. While technically it describes accurately enough what the effect is to the object and how it responds as a metaphore, but hot damn if they are not using gravity to describe gravity I don't know what that is.
"So a gravity well is this thing, that if you place an downward hill in space, the object will run down that hill like Kate Bush.."
Soo in essence that is gravity explained by gravity. Yes Einstein, objects move toward the center of mass, fine, but how?
That is NOT explaining what gravity is even in the slightest.
Imagine if they did that with the question WHAT IS HEAT?
"Well, heat is when you warm up something and it becomes hot, and with enough heat the the object melts, boils, or burns." Ugh!
A better way to describe gravity as a phenomenon is a thought model I invented some years ago when the ipad 3 was a thing, but of course it very well probably is not be true as is and I'm not advocating that it is, I just want to show a more meaningful way of describing the gravity phenomenon so that it makes sence
My explanation ends up with the same cause and effect, but also describes the how it could happen.
Imagine every particle has an outward force that is emitted in all directions equally if left alone. This "spinning" of particles with equal outward energy in a spheric area is also what enables the object to react with things as "time" moves forward. Movement begets interactions.
These are the particles that are considered to have "mass".
They emit seemingly endless wave of particles that affect other particles in an aligning way. A particle with mass will send out "forces" equally in every direction unless affected enough by other emitted particles from other objects. Once there is a larger concentration of objects with mass the alignment of adjacent particles start to be greater and towards the center. Like how a wind vane works (you know, those metal roosters on top of the roof that turns with the wind). If you place a propulsion behind a wind vane and have it turn towards the wind it would fly against it if not tethered.
Aligned objects tend to send more particles in the opposite direction aka outside of the center in a more consentrated way since there are a lot of particles in the center and the affect grows in proportion with larger masses. The more there are the more the force of the outward "beam". Kind of like having more and more gattling guns shooting in the same direction. But these particles don't punch holes, they redirect the internal motions of energy in particles creating an outward force like a propulsion inward.
To visualise how the propulsion would happen is to think that the rotating energies create tiny holes in the center allowing energy to seep outwards resulting in directed outward momentum in the opposite direction.
Someone once corrected me and said but if they are emitting like you say they would they would empty up. Well maybe, maybe not, but what we do know is you don't need many of them if you split them open to make a big kaboom. That's a lot of energy to go around. And you don't need to seep out a lot per particle since they don't have much opposite push.
This emitted wave of energy results in aligning the propulsion of passing objects in proportion to the other objects mass. Since all objects with mass have their own gattling guns and the more particles an object has shooting in every direction the more you need to shoot at it to make their propulsion be affected in to the direction they are being shot at from. Like if there was a crowd of people all tied up to each other, and I alone try to pull on them with a rope I will have a hard time. They would have less problems pulling me in.
So, if the object is small enough to be aligned by the larger object by force it will be affected proportionally more than how much it affects the larger object (it still does affect it too). A tennis ball will very unlikely affect the trajectory of earth.
While objects are in interaction with only themselves, they will emit an equal force in every direction and the forces cancel each other out. In less gravity the electrons and energy within particles move more and more freely and there is "normal spinning" when as stationary as possible in the least amount of gravity. This would make the particmes interact the fasted aka time moves the fastest and a person would age the fastest. If you can place someone in 0 gravity and 0 absolute movement they would age the fastest. And if they are being affected in a narrowing way, by speed and or gravity they would start a slowing down effect due to hindered free movement.
This brings an interesting added bonus of relativistic time why speed and gravity affect perceived time the same way. Because the speed of light is the maximum speed, the faster an object moves the more these circling particle energies are denied forward motion towards the vector of the object so the interactions between particles grow smaller and smaller resulting in a slower moving "time". Kind of like if you're cranking an elaborate machine that operates via turning gears in sync with each other to read inputs from the putside world. If you then crank the machine forward slower, it will in sequence do the same things as always only every input is registered slower and the experience of the machine looking outward is that everything else related to it's functions are moving faster. It has not way of experiencing itself moving slower as it is also processing data slower.
As gravity affects the circular energy in a similar fashion it too would slow down reactions between everything like above resulting a slow down of "time".
All of the above would give a more accurate layman explanation how gravity / time / speed works and why denser objects have more pull of mass aka why it affects other objects more.
It's like Phoebe said in friends. She didn't feel so much being pulled as she was being pushed. In my example pushed would be the correct explanation. Like little tiny rocket ships hurdling towards the source.

I guess it at least proves I'm not neurotypical, eh?

First of all splitting the zerobag community between travellers and the stationary is going to fracture an already small community. There are ao few folks interested in this topic that our voices don't drown each other out. There is very little chatter about this topic at all.
Sexond of all, the full time zero baggers are doing much the same activity that the travelling zerobaggers are. Much of our research benefits what you are doing. Much of what you are doing benefits what we are doing.
Thirdly we can always decide to aplit the communitiies later, but we can't unsplit them once they're split. We xan try to get along before we resort to parting ways forever.
Fourth of all, I don't want to run a subreddit. I run a large aubreddir before and I don't want to do that again. I will if I have to but it's alot of headache.

Have some compassion for the folks who have nothing to their name, and are looking to figure out how to rebuild their lives with what they can carry with them. the onebagging community was originally meant for them, the poor and deserving. It was not meant for trust fund babies. Their need is much greater than yours, and when you downvote technologies and advice that could help them you are contributing towards the homelessness epidemic.

2024.06.07 16:23 Foxarris I think my coworkers are transphobic?

I'm a year and some into HRT; I had a head start by never really fully masculinizing; I seem to pass fully to most strangers I meet, even to the point of some people being surprised that I'm trans; and I never have trouble using the bathroom in public...
But my coworkers know. I transitioned after working at my current company for 2 years, so a lot of people know I'm trans. I keep noticing people who see me in the bathroom and will walk the other way. I had someone who came to use the sink next to me a week or two ago who immediately turned around and used a sink on the complete opposite side of the bathroom the moment they saw me, then apparently gave me funny looks (I am told by an AFAB enby coworker, who told me to piss wherever I want).
Today I was drying my hands at the paper towel dispenser which is visible from the co-ed hallway between bathrooms and I noticed one of my coworkers who I previously had no problem with do a U-turn in the hallway so that they could head upstairs to where there is a bathroom on the opposite side of the building.
I could be reading into it too much, there's also a smoking area up there, and I don't know if they smoke or not, but it just seems really fishy.
I'm tempted to just flat-out ask them if my presence in the bathroom made them uncomfortable and try to explain myself, but I don't know if that's going to cause a confrontation, even be worth it, or even be reasonable on my part.
Ugh, I'm literally never treated this way by strangers. It sucks to know that one adjective gives them reason to other me. Am I overreacting?
Update: I went and talked to them, and unfortunately I was right. They told me they feel uncomfortable sharing a bathroom with me. They gave me some lines about how they have brought their kids here and that they have concerns about their kids. I told them that was ridiculous, I'm just in there to pee, same as you. I asked if there was something I might say or do to help them feel comfortable and get over it, but they said no. They'd rather head to the bathroom on the other side of the building. Then they mentioned that they're a firm believer in genetics. I just gave up at that point. It's not my job to educate people.
I thanked them for politely just going to the other bathroom and not making a big deal of it, and let them know that since there's nothing I can apparently do to assuage their discomfort, I'm not going to stop using the bathroom or be forced into another demeaning or dangerous space.
Later I went to HR to confirm that there are no issues with me using the bathroom. Our HR person said as far as they are concerned I'm a woman and I belong in the women's restroom. As long as nobody is actively harassing me, they can't stop people if they're just acting weird, but if those people don't like it they can go to the other bathroom. Several people have apparently already gone to HR about me, but HR has turned them away. Also they're adding some gender-neutral bathrooms, which I think is great but I don't want to use because I am not a gender-neutral person. I also got some great news which belongs somewhere else. :)

2024.06.07 09:59 Violetdoll7 Feeling guilty for making someone dysphoric, need advice

Very long chaotic post, probably rambling. Also massive tw for sh towards the end of the post (don't read if this triggers you please take care of yourself🫶).
For context, I'm genderdoer (genderfluid/nonbinary but never a binary man) and a soft butch lesbian. I consider myself to be trans masc and have a fair few trans masc friends with a variety of identities, but mostly binary trans men. The specific person I'm referring to is a binary trans man and I'll call him Max. I'm very fortunate to be able to present myself the way I want to. I wear clothes that I like, have a haircut that makes me comfortable and also have a fairly androgynous body. I often pass as a man around strangers. Max doesn't come from a supportive household and doesn't have access to things like gender affirming clothing. He's also younger than me but we know each other cause where I'm from pretty much all queer young people know each other but this stuff specifically happened while I was at an event thing (kind of like a camp) and he was there.
He's bought up multiple reasons why I make him uncomfortable and dysphoric but it's mainly 3 things which are my identity/how I refer to myself, how I look and how that makes him feel, and my friendships.
He says butch and dyke are transandrophobic slurs. He has a lot of problems with lesbian history and just lesbians in general (especially masculine lesbians) and claims that historical usage of these terms in sapphic communities is fake history created by terfs who want to erase trans men. I'm not going to stop using those terms to describe myself cause it's just who I am but I feel a bit guilty cause he does get upset by people using these terms and don't like contributing to his distress. This other piece of info gives some context for stuff I'm going to address later in this post but Max has also claimed that lesbians historically insert themselves and take over causes where they are not welcome or wanted. For example claiming that historic lesbian bars where actually exclusive trans men's spaces that lesbians invaded. Probably the worst thing he's said is that lesbian contributions to caring for folks during the AIDS crisis is problematic white knight behaviour that was an attempt to silence gay men (he doesn't really understand that people who aren't gay men were also affected by AIDS) and stop them from advocating for themselves. He also theorises that lesbians being involved in things like blood donations and advocacy contributed to a lack of support from the general public and the government and the suffering of people with AIDS would have been taken more seriously if lesbians weren't involved and that older lesbians can be blamed for many of the deaths. I find these claims extremely disgusting and disrespectful.
I like using masculine terms for myself and he also has a big problem with this saying that I'm being deceptive and attempting to confuse people. The second aspect is that apparently my body makes him very uncomfortable cause I don't have to wear binders or get surgery to have a less curvy chest. I can't really do much about this.
Max also finds it unfair that my birth name is a 'boys name'. I also have some skills that make him upset (eg I know how to tie a tie) which makes him upset cause he never got those opportunities and his dad wouldn't teach him these skills. He doesn't like when other guys ask me for advice or have conversations about stuff like that. The final thing about my appearance is that he doesn't like that I wear things that make him euphoric. For example, baggy tshirts and using accessories such as belts. His reasoning is that him and some other trans men don't get to wear those things and it's insensitive that I would wear this clothing when I'm not even a man and it's basically like I'm wearing a costume to insult trans men. I genuinely don't know how to feel about this cause it's literally my clothing and it makes me happy. It's also kind of weird cause there's no one way to look like any particular identity and I don't think it's wrong that I like getting outfit inspo from a variety of sources including some transmasc creators.
Finally, he REALLY doesn't like that I'm friends with trans guys and that I hung out with trans guys at the event we were at. He thinks I may be doing it for nefarious reasons. He's concerned that I'm trying to detransition people and confuse young trans men by 'promoting' masculinity in people who aren't men. The other claim is that I may secretly be into my friends and might try to date them (just thinking about the possibility of me thinking of them in a non platonic way makes me incredibly uncomfortable). The evidence for this is cause I compliment their outfits, haircuts and have used adjectives such as handsome and dapper to compliment them (which they said they appreciated and said similar stuff about me, some of them said these things before I did). Apparently giving guys compliments on their outfits or talking about clothes is trying to feminise them and could be flirting. He said it makes him concerned for people's safety. I think this is just the predatory lesbian stereotype or trying to create division. I also don't actively seek out people with particular identities to be friends with.
The one thing I'm quite concerned about is that he's told me I'm inserting myself into conversations where I'm not wanted or needed just like lesbians throughout history. This group and just my friends in general have deeper conversations and I'm happy that they feel comfortable enough to talk about deeper stuff with me and I like that they're always willing to listen to me. We also sometimes make jokes about gender stuff which Max says is very inappropriate for me to do (he's usually not even part of this). He's even gone as far as to tell my friends that their friendship with me is cringe and stereotypical because of the whole trans dude with a lesbian friend stereotype. I understand that we'll never understand all of each other's experiences and I have never ever claimed that my identity is in any way comparable to theirs. However just in that group we do have some common ground and we relate to each other quite a lot and I really value that connection. Is there anything I should keep in mind so that I'm not doing anything actually harmful? Would it be best that I generally don't discuss stuff about identity with them cause we don't all share the same experience? I've never considered I could be intruding before since these are just things we talk about sometimes.
Now, Max has requested that I make sure my friends look more masc than me (none of them have ever requested this and as far as I know do not want to change me in any way and also some of them love super feminine stuff). Big Tw for this next part but he's said that some of the stuff I do triggers his dysphoria and makes him want to hurt himself. He's in therapy btw. I don't have sympathy for people who use sh as a way to get people to do things. It's not my responsibility. Hopefully I'm not wrong for thinking this.
I understand it must be upsetting for him and I feel very sympathetic for him cause he must feel soo horrible about himself if he feels the need to bring down other people. I am also mindful that my decisions may solidify his negative views about lesbians. Some of the other guys at the event suggested we cut him off (well have to see him again possibly multiple times). I don't want him to feel isolated or rejected especially by other queer people cause I feel like that could be a lot for him to go through especially cause he doesn't have support from anyone else. I just don't want to change myself. A part of me also thinks this is just ridiculous immature drama and I should be able to make friends I relate to without controversy. Am I being unreasonable or cruel? What would y'all do in this situation? Also am I actually doing anything harmful? Anyone experienced someone intruding into conversations that don't concern them or people who share their identity? Thanks for reading my essay.
Edit!: Just to clarify we are definitely not friends. The group that I was with mostly knew each other beforehand. Max knew someone in the group cause one of his friends is that persons younger sibling. He felt like he’d be treated better and be less likely to be disrespected if he was around older queer folks (who obviously don’t deserve the same respect). Also we’re all from a rural area and it’s kind of normal to just know most other queer folks in the area cause we see each other at pride events and stuff like that.
I don’t think he’s actually been around many queer people which I can’t really blame him for. I feel like he’s just starting to understand the differences between online discourse and actual people and how irl queer communities usually function. Hopefully he will understand these things a bit better once he is at a better place mentally and has more of an understanding of history and stuff like that. In the future I’ll probably attempt to just not interact and I don’t think any of my friends were intending on interacting with him either.

You cannot come across a post on Reddit, Instagram, X, Facebook without encountering a bot. The internet is dead. It's been dead since 2015 but nobody wants to accept it. The bots have take over but its now more obvious then it's ever been. They're all using AI to post and they're basing their responses purely on the title of the post.
If you're doing an image post, create a title completely irrelevant from the image. That way people can actually identify who's a bot. This will also identify any bot that reposts that same image with the same BS title.
There's always a few people that are going to complain asking why even care that they're there. It's the fact of the matter. When you're opening up to another person you want to make sure it's another person. At the least they should be labeled as bots so when people are talking to them they know and they can continue as they wish.
Check my history. I delete it on a daily basis and just today I've come across multiple. This site is dying and it sucks to see as someone that's been here for 10+ years. The bot activity has ramped up since they announced Google has started using the data for their training. This shit is dead. After I delete this all I have on my phone is maps, email, Blink, and CashApp. This site is dead and so is every other social media site. Be happy if you are a millennial and lived through social media.
Edit: I give it less than a few years for these bots to have videos on Youtube. Like I said, I delete on a daily basis, but I'll think about keeping this up. As for the reddit accounts, almost any account that's an adverb_noun_#, or adjectiveNoun# is a bot. Of course not everyone, but actually read their comment and if they provide absolutely nothing to the conversation and they're only basing their comment on the title then it's probably a bot.

2024.06.05 22:36 Flanketfiddlesticks I got banned from a game for half a month. AITAH?

I M (22) recently got a half month ban from a online game called Toontown Rewritten. I originally wrote this for the ToonTown subreddit, but I recently found out they do not allow discussion of in game punishment in their subreddit. I figure I'd ask here. AITAH? (The following is just my original post. Copied and pasted.)
So. I was playing toon town the other day. Thursday to be exact. I decided to spend my lunch break going back to my place to play some toontown. Having fun with a good VP shopping group, it went quite well and relatively normal. This part of the story really shouldn't even be a part of the story honestly. But it will come back later so, might as well start from here. We made it to the part when the VP first fight is done and you can walk out into the cloudy void area. Someone thought I was hacking, and I had to explain to them that it wasn't hacking but we had a good laugh. I asked "Has anyone ever hacked toon town rewritten?" because I would never expect to see someone do that? Never have seen, probably never will.
Odd part of the story but it comes back later.
So. I then decide that I have enough time to do a CFO as well. I join in and it's all going well. We are playing through and my side is doing great. I overhear a toon talking and as extraverted as I try to be in this game seeing as I am very much an introvert in real life, I want to join in. They started by saying "I learned a new word recently." "You wanna know what it was?" I was immediately intrigued. I don't really have a real reason why, but I really like learning random words. I know I'll never use a good 80% of them, but hey, I'm a curious little guy. I was some what excited to find out what they learned. "Arigato." They replied. (I don't remember anyone saying what? Or replying to them, but they were probably itching to tell their story, so they did.)
I immediately spout the first words in my head. "Bruh really didn't know arigato." I should have put a ? but I've been known to mess up a lot of things in text. Not to side rant but for one sentence of your time, I've said Six instead of four, I've said This instead of those, I've even mixed up entire names. Something is clearly wrong in my brain for typing words. I don't know what but something.
But.. Continuing where I left off. They did not acknowledge me or respond at all. I said "I feel bad for them." Japanese is pretty cool. They have a really nice country from everything I've heard. And I think everyone should know yes, no, and thank you in pretty much every language they are interested. If you don't know those few words you don't have much to work with in a foreign country.
Still no one, not even anyone on my side really acknowledges me. I sit there in silence feeling kind of awkward, seeing as it was very quiet.. You know how that feels I'm sure. Everyone does. But they do continue their story after that. They continue to say "I learned it from someone earlier (or maybe they said the other day. It's been a few days. Details only in my memory.) I learned it from someone Earlier and they said they didn't speak much english." " They were using google translate to talk." I thought this would be a good ice breaker. You know, try again, maybe break down the awkwardness built up. Because I can't just take the quick L and and go back to talking to my group. Of course I had to keep talking to them.. The people who were ignoring me. "Lucky."
"Lucky they don't speak english" "They shouldn't associate with us americans." Because we suck. A little self bad talk gets a good laugh at of most peole, but of course, overexplaining a joke is setting yourself up for failure, not to mention things are already awkward enough, not trying to bury my self any deeper. So of course.. It gets more awkward anyway.. No one acknowledges me and I am still sitting on my side looking like an odd ball talking to myself.. You'd think at this point I could take a hint and I would just stop, but I have to double down, maybe they'll laugh, maybe if I just keep talking to the people that clearly don't want to talk to me they'll notice that I'm talking. Oh.. They noticed. They didn't want to talk to me. And I just can't read a room. "Or they could just not speak to us." "It would be better for their health." I mean. No one wants our brain rot. (A little bit of a side track note, they legitimately are training their officers and even the military on how to deal with us americans going over and "vloging" because of all the bad people going over and taking advantage of them. Some real mean spirited people (Not to mention logan paul all those years ago.))
This went well as you could imagine. Not only did no one respond to me, the entire side that I was on was pretty much just silent through the rest of the fights.
We finally make it to the end of the CFO battles, and we start dancing. Mid dance I disconnect with a warning for harassment. I'm flabbergasted. Harassment? (Forgetting that you can't really give a better description in reports, they don't give much for options. Like at all. It's pretty much just insulting adjectives in reports and you can't detail your report.) I'm flabbergasted and can't figure out what happened or why? I'm sitting there thinking of all the different things going on and what could possibly be considered harassment?
In the mean time I log back on and start walking around (Alone) (Not a single soul around me) (I even went to my estate. The most alone you could be.) I'm blowing off steam while I think about it. How could anyone say that? Why would anyone say that? I'm too upset to actually think about why, but that's the way it is. So I'm talking to myself about how I blame the admin. In all honesty it was really the person that didn't say a word to me but decided to report me. I mean? Use your words! We're adults here? Right? You can talk to me, you can tell me when something is wrong. Use your words. Don't silently report people you don't like, talk to them and use your words. We've all grown up, you should know that.
I'm used to talking about admins in games rudely. I've played roblox for far too long, and if you've ever been over there you know how bad it gets. So I'm used to to saying things in game that either will never be heard anyway so it doesn't matter, or it gets read over by some admin, maybe even the admin who wronged you. Trust me there are no good admins on that website, they're not exactly responsible adults. Let me rephrase that. They're definitely not adults. Nothing but toxic behavior over there, just a bunch of kids making up a population of 99% toxic environments. There's a reason why I haven't been on the website in half a year. I finally quit. Not that I was really playing then either.
Getting that out of the way, I have a habit of talking to myself in game. You know, because maybe they're insecure about themselves enough to be secretly stalking me and they can hear that but not be able to respond. I've had two decades to think about it. (Roblox wasn't always bad). Always looking for the lasts words you know. That petty stuff. But it's better than sitting there letting that ruin your day. Get out of your system, move on. Type out what you have to say get it out of the way. That rhymed.
So, while I was entirely alone, (or so I thought.) The admin was stalking me. I don't know if they didn't like me and wanted to find more reasoning to get me in real trouble sense all they could do was warn me before, or maybe it's just something that they always have to do? Who knows. Unless you are on the team? Idk? But they sure were listening. I went to go water my plants because that's really all I had time to do before heading back to work.
Clearly upset I talk to my self. "Toon council clearly has a low life on the team." / "What a mistake in hiring." / "More like no life."

The nail in the coffin. All I've done is talk to myself. But I wasn't alone.
Wanting to forget about it I start an HQ group for a CJ run. To my surprise, it actually filled up pretty fast. I'm not used to CJ runs filling up so fast, but that was good. Or.. It would be, if I had time for a CJ run, but I'm too busy being dumb to remember that I can't keep playing. So I have to hop off. I always have to TMI and explain myself. So I wanted to quickly let them know before I leave, why I gotta go. "Sorry, I can't stay. I gotta go." "I don't have time for a CJ. I'm sorry." I don't remember all the sorry and my bads, I went through trying to explain myself, but I sure don't have to forget that I was still upset. Because I let them know. In the HQ group chat I said. Word for word.
"They really warned me over saying that someone was lucky they didn't speak english because they shouldn't associate with us americans.
My bad. Sorry. Just some low life person the ttr team warning me for that."
I was really that bothered by it. but it at least nice to let people know.
I spent my day thinking about that. I finally got home later that night and, I figured it out (or at least I'm convinced that I've figured it out.) I can't reread the text any other way now. Especially after the email they sent me back. I am at least 80% sure that they read what I said, thinking "They shouldn't associate with us americans." Was an insult to them. Like saying that we're (americans) are better than them. I finally figured it out. I knew what was wrong. I was still upset that they didn't just use their words and talk to me, but at least I finally figured it out. I was going to move on with my day. That sucked, but it's whatever. It is what it is. So I hope on to TTR and before I can even play,

I got a return email, it was not a ban lift. You could probably guess that much after reading through all of this.
Yeah. I had everything I said, even the things that I said while I was alone. Even that part about "Has anyone ever hacked toon town online?" Everything was in that email. They weren't just going to warn me, they were kept following me.

After all that. I'll say, it definitely wasn't good for me to be upset. But was it reasonable? Yes. Not really a question. It's not exactly fair to punish someone without giving them a real reason, but did I say some mean things Questionable? Rude? Hurtful? "to the admin" (All alone, at my estate even.) Yes.. Yes? And.. Hmmm? Yes. For sure. Can't deny it. It's not like they weren't following me around. I mean, nothing would have happened if everyone involved would have been adults and just used their words, but it ended up spirling downward that way. It just so happens that when you use a report button to report someone when you don't even acknowledge their existence instead of just talking to them "Something you said I found negative" "would you not do (something I found or looked at in a negative light) again?" You apparently get an easy way to just throw someone out of a game. Because that was the fastest. (and only time ever I've ever been banned from any game on any platform ever. You can't imagine how flabbergasted I was. I have almost never even had warnings in any games either. This damn near broke my mind trying to figure out what happened till they sent that email going further than "They shouldn't associate with us americans.".) that I have ever been banned. And it's the only time ever ever been banned from anything. Should I just be scared to ever talk normally to anyone ever in the game ever again? Should I be afraid to hop on to the game if I ever get unbanned again? Is it even worth thinking about? Maybe this is it. Maybe I should go back to other games I used to play. Maybe our community is so broken that we can't even talk without being afraid of being reported. Or...? Maybe I'm just overreacting. I mean, It's not like I really responded appropriately (All alone to myself with no one around but the admin stalking me.) "cough cough" Ooo. Had something in my throat there. What was I saying? Oh. It's not really like I responded appropriately after being warned anyway. I can see how someone would feel like using their tools to punish someone for a light jab at them. Because after all. In this new community as of 2023 and now 2024 we are no longer just a nice community, everything is being read in a darker lighting. So to everyone reading, it's really not that hard to believe that it's all just a rude line of rude messaging in a game with a perfect image. At least I used to think it had a perfect image. I'd always come online just to play and talk with people because it has always been a great community, but after making a new account a month ago (the very end of april) I've seen a lot of terrible players. I can see what everyone else is seeing.
The only thing I can't see.. Is why it's so hard for people to act like adults? Has the player base changed? Are there teens, and/or kids playing again? Why couldn't they use their words? Why couldn't they tell me there is something wrong? Why don't you just resolve a conflict without attacking someone? Just talk to me. Just tell me something is wrong. Explain to me your view point. Show me that you feel uncomfortable, attacked, or wronged, or anything negative at all. Just tell me there is something wrong. I'm not here to ruin your day? Why are you here to ruin my month? Why didn't you just talk to me? It's as simple as starting with one word. "hey" It's for horses, but it helps in human conversation too. "Hey, can you not do "that" (Subject in question)."
When did we abandon conversations? Why can't we talk? I can see all your points, I can see everything that went wrong. But why can't you let me know? So this doesn't escalate. So no one has to have their day ruined. I sure as heck didn't mean to ruin your day if I did.
Maybe next time, we'll all be able to have more civil conversations and we'll all get to talk about things. Like adults. Maybe even friends. But for now.. This is, How to get thrown out in chains.
That was a long one. Hope it wasn't too much of a dragged on post. Don't mean to take up someone's entire day. Sure don't mean to ruin another day by taking up the entire thing. I’m relatively new to the case and Reddit in general. I just can’t stop thinking about it and wanted to share my thoughts to see what people think about them
Child predators are horrifying but they are good at what they do. If you’re a child predator, you are going to want to have a job where you have access to children. I think about this when it comes to the Dr Seuss book that was reported to have been found in her bookbag. My mind goes straight to being weary of the adults in Asha’s life that were either teachers, coaches, church leaders, etc. I am not trying to suggest that all people who work with kids have bad intentions, but I think this is worth thinking about, especially when a lot of people immediately assume suspicion of the family (which may be valid from a statistical standpoint).
It seems as if Asha didn’t really have that much contact with people apart from her family/community members she would see at church and through school/sporting activities. This is what makes me think it could have been a predator who was known or at least familiar to her. I’m just wondering how this person would have been able to keep their presence in her life a secret.
I have also heard that her basketball uniform was found in that backpack. If that is the case, I guess it could have been accidentally left in there after her game and attendance at the sleepover. If the uniform was intentionally left in the bag or packed though, I think it could say a lot. Maybe someone made up something about an away game or a skill training camp. I guess this doesn’t make much sense considering the time of night she left. I do however think it’s important to look at the areas in her life, like basketball, where someone with bad intentions could have had access to her. Especially in this case because she was said to be the star of the team and likely felt a lot of pressure.
I really don’t know what I’m trying to say here- I just am having these thoughts and wanted to see how they sounded to other people here. Or if anyone has thought similar things

a 2 v 2 match of Hero v Raider same map selections as in game which rotates per match
5 survivors on both sides hero get 5 survivors raider get 5 evil survivors because not all survivors are good guys ;) the way this will work is that it will be auto selected for the team with the same reward system and rank system
the adjective here is to prevent heros from escaping from stm or etm but must need to collect 7 keys on the hero side to activate stm if the stm is destroyed etm deploys but heres the kicker the raider and evil survivors can destroy one beacon or prevent it if the evil survivor hop on the etm the hero survivor get reduced points but the survivor on the hero side can push you off with the same button you use to activate the key and collect iteams
timer would be 25 minutes
no dragon ball or super transpheres 2 hero can become their level 3 transphere on either side so what you have is what you will be and again this will be auto selected if you have not play hero or raider as level 4 characters than your priority increases
more dragon change powers laying around just enough for 5 survivors or less on both sides including soda machines rocket launcher machines and dragon change machines
more citizens to kill or save by hero and raider
the amount of survivors can reduce if it is too much on either sides i leave this up to you
skills and passive cannot be changed it will be a good balance for this to happened so no meta passive or skills basically going back to the s1 or beta days
of course the hero side and the raider side such as the z fighters and the raider guard will be increase and the cooldown reduced along side pushing further this time enough for you raiders and hero to adjust your stance oh no worries about getting jumped hero and raider because only one can combat and you while others can use ki blast or ultimate one per combat when being hit by raider or hero survivors

¡Tequantzélo! This post is so that I can share & document my progress on Paolia, one of my active conlangs & part of my alternate history worldbuilding project. I wanna point out that this conlang is most likely not naturalistic, as I lack proper knowledge for such a task, but I've tried to design it as naturalistic as I can with the rudimentary knowledge I have about linguistics. I've taken inspiration from some natural languages such as Nahuatl, though only in appearance as I know very little about it. Last thing to note is that the version of the conlang I'll be presenting here is the modern day way the language sounds, as it doesn't vary that much from its prehispanic version.
Presentation & History
Paolia is a language spoken in a fictional group of islands off the western coast of Mexico; at roughly the same altitude as the state of Jalisco. It is the only known group of the ecaian language family & it has no derivations as the people do not live in different spots, so the language has remained relatively unified. It was relatively isolated during the majority of its existence since roughly the start of the mesoamerican Classical Period ~200-300 a.C. During the Postclassical Period they had a small comercial relationship with the mexicans (aztecs), using the word 'nahoa' referring to anyone from the mainland.
At around the latter part of the XV century (or the beginning of the XVI century depending on who you ask) the ladewans discovered the ecaian Camutan archipelago. In this timeline, the reconquest of the Iberian Peninsula ended about one century earlier thanks to the ladewans, the New Sinusian Empire (ladewans) became almost as rich as Spain & Portugal were & also took part in the discovery of the New World, having a good relationship with their mainland neighbours, they settled the city of Nõu Raliji in what are now the mexican states of Jalisco & Nayarit (Al Raliji later gave up on Nõu Raliji & it now belongs to Mexico, serving as a sudonation for modern day ethnic ecaians & ladewans), some years later in around 1488 the island of Camutan was discovered.

Phonology
Paolia's phonology has a small consonant inventory & a 4 vowel system.

* ʔ is represented by a grave accent above the vowels, sometimes it can be pronounced both before & after the vowel but it's mostly after the vowel. (I.e <èca> is pronounced /ʔeʔ.'ka/ & <sonàa> is pronounced /so.'na.ʔa/.)

Diphthongs:
* <u> only appears in writing in <qu> sequences as /kʷ/ & is only pronounced when the sequence is separated by morphological rules, or in standalone words that either didn't evolve out of the use of like <tuma> & <camuta> or loanwords.
** /ə/ only appears at <e> when it's the last vowel of the word like in <poque> which is pronounced /'po.kʷə/, this can be negated by writing <é> like in <pé> /pe/ or in <eng> sequences /əŋ/.
*** /ɔ̃/ only appears in <ong> sequences /ɔ̃ŋ/.
Orthography
Paolia's orthography is pretty much fully phonetic, there are just some rules I wanna clear out.
<h> is silent expect when it is the coda like in the pluralizer <nih-> /nih/. It's also used alongside to represent /w/
The grave accent <à è ì ò> marks /ʔ/
The acute accent <á é í ó> marks syllable stress & prevents nucleus <i> & <o> from becoming /j/ & /w/ when a vowel is the coda like in <lianóa> /ɭʲa.'no.a/ or <tecotzía> /te.ko.'t͡si.a/

Syntax
Paolia is an OVS language but it can sometimes be OSV due to its grammatical cases.
The object can never be dropped.
Adjectives go prefixed to the nouns.
Grammar
There are two main noun types, raised & simple nouns:
Raised nouns end in <a> & simple nouns end in any other vowel. They never end in a consonant.
They can receive affixes like codas, pluralization, case markings & can also be prefixed to form compound words.
Raised nouns drop final <a> when prefixed to another noun or when receiving a grammatical mark. Simple words never change.
Classical Paolia used to contain grammatical gender, but it got lost, linguists believe raised words used to be of the feminine gender.
Unconjugated verbs always end in <a> & just like raised nouns, these can drop it to accept suffixes for conjugations. (-iceng is a verb suffix that gerundizes them & converts them to nouns that act like simple nouns, though they can't receive case marking & must rely on the word 'quìe' I.e 'naqui tequohoiceng quìepal', which literally translates to "about the thing of dying")
Verbs can receive prefixes, infixes & suffixes to add extra information
Adjectives in Paolia always end in <tl> these drop it to be prefixed to nouns, when they appear standalone, they receive their own set of infixed case markings differing from noun's markings.
Relative Case
I wanna make a special section about the relative case (not to be confused with the linguistic term), which is a special case marking used for prepositions, kinda like the prepositional case in languages like Russian.
The marking is -apal for raised nouns & -pal for simple nouns & it can accept prepositions like:
about/because = naqui (It can be used to express something similar to the expression 'due to x')
on = naoe
under= quaoe
in = incial
outside = sintzin
ablative = quenti
for = sonti
Examples
The language has no traditional writing system, it got lost around the time the ladewans & spaniards discovered & raided the island, ending in a similar fate to all native mesoamerican groups. The island is a nature reserve today belonging to Mexico where some ecaians still live, but the majority of the ecaian population lives in mainland Mexico, mostly concentrated in Nõu Raliji in the states of Nayarit & Jalisco.

2024.06.03 00:27 TitanAura Mildly irksome writing decisions in Paul Gaiden

I realize this post is going to consist mostly of criticism so I want to say up front that Paul Gaiden is still worth a read for how it does at least a decent job fleshing out how and why Paul fell out with his father and the mistakes his parents made when raising him and Pilemon. AKA coddling Paul and just expecting him to clairvoyantly know the expectations and responsibilities of a noble without ever making the attempt to have that serious discussion with him until AFTER he fucks up and then idolizing Pilemon for his lack of embarrassing behavior when the tike is barely out of his diapers. Where it pertains to Paul's most important familial relationships, I believe it is... adequate in the writing department even if I personally feel the dialogue leaves something to be desired especially pertaining to Pilemon's bizarrely advanced diction for a 5 year old though that can perhaps be attributed to the wonkiness of the translation so it's hard to say.
Also I'd be lying through my teeth if I said I wasn't using this post mostly as an excuse to help further boost Paul Gaiden's profile now that new attention is being paid to it. Here's hoping this season finally draws enough attention to inspire a translation of the second arc!
To be clear, this post more so pertains to a particular nitpick specific to visual novels as a medium as opposed to the writing itself:
That being NPCs known only by generic title descriptions taking up 50% or more of lengthy conversations
Obviously this is something that is necessary in VNs as you must assign a name even to nameless, faceless NPCs simply for the sake of coding the dialogue correctly. Distinguishing unimportant non-characters from one another is a rather low priority so it's an understandable requirement of the medium when the only thing being lost is a generic nobody with zero impact on the plot or character development. Though I feel it is always a wasted opportunity when a visual novel chooses not to use descriptive adjectives to communicate implicitly to the reader how the POV character views this nameless NPC with titles like [Alluring Lady] or [Pompous Noble Brat]. For the most part, as uninteresting as it is to read "Generic Person #7" hold a conversation with "Generic Person #15" at least the information is being conveyed and their lack of a proper name doesn't really detract all that much from what is being imparted to Paul's story and development.
Except one NPC in particular sticks out like a sore thumb within the first few chapters.

Paul's Water-God Style Teacher is referred to as [Water-God Style Teacher].... alright. I mean that's a pretty generic portrait. Surely she only exists in a single scene with little to no dialogue, thus her lack of identity, right?
Well... She's his sword instructor between his 5th and 10th birthdays until she leaves her teaching position to care for her newborn child out of wedlock after getting knocked up by (and receiving financial support from) the principal of the school Paul is attending. In her final scene, she affectionately strokes Paul's head and expresses her gratitude after he states his commitment not to let the sword training she's given him over the past 5 years go to waste.
Excuse me, but why is this person still being referred to by a generic title from PAUL'S PERSPECTIVE specifically? Here we are, being drawn into the life of this person whom, while still fairly insignificant relative to the grander scope of his arc, was still clearly a positive influence on Paul. Yet the UI is counter-intuitively implying that he never learned her name! This is actively damaging to the scene because of who the narrator is. Paul stops playing hooky specifically because this person he's known for half his life asked him to begin attending classes again which implies respect and a deeper personal connection. I can only speak for myself but I certainly remember the names of my favorite teachers at the very least. I'm getting mixed signals here! I know entirely too much about this woman's sex life to keep pretending she's still some random nameless 1-dimensional nobody!
This is made all the more exasperating when in the very next chapter the use of a generic NPC label actually works (unintentionally) as a way of establishing Paul's philandering ways with the reprisal of [Young Lady] whom he previously met on his 5th birthday. After failing to remember her name at his 10th birthday party he proceeds to lose his virginity after she propositions him.... (what is it with Greyrats and 10th birthdays?) yet he still never asks for her name. Here we have a good use of this convention to enforce a defining character flaw immediately after fumbling it in the previous chapter.

EXCEPT I'M LYING! As it turns out, [Young Lady] actually has a name! 9 chapters after losing his virginity to her, Paul has this encounter:
Paul: ..Hm?
Daughter A: ..!!
Daughter A: Sir Paul...
Daughter B: Th-that’s no good Lorraine! The senior noble son is over there!
Daughter A: Y-you are correct! Let us hurry and give our greetings!
Paul: (What do I even say to that...)
[A girl that Paul had met several times before now, had run away from him as soon as they met]
Paul: (Even the one who took my virginity...)
[Paul had finally understood how he was viewed by the other nobles]
Notice that she's not referred to as [Young Lady] anymore but rather [Daughter A] and not only does [Daughter B] name drop her, it CONTINUES TO REFER TO HER AS [Daughter A] breaking it's own established conventions TWICE in a single conversation! AUGH. That's THREE names we know her by now! WHY?! Lorraine gets a name despite only meeting Paul briefly a few times over the years and having very little in the way of substantive conversation. I know NOTHING about this girl aside from her desire to bone Paul. This is a situation where it actually would have been more appropriate to let her remain anonymous to reinforce his shitty treatment of women!
So now we have a slightly more developed nameless character in [Water-God Style Teacher], yet a named undeveloped nobody in [Lorraine] who's only defining attribute was being Paul's first with no other development to speak of. If their prior conversations had a bit more meat to them this wouldn't be an issue, rather it's the inconsistency of the whole thing because it's clearly not being done to prevent non-Rifujin OCs from being introduced as the street gang members [Ludd] and [Marianne] are promptly introduced shortly after that final encounter with [Lorainne] and at least play a larger role going forward into the next arc to justify being named characters.
Anyways, here's the TL;DR:
I'm fully aware I've gone off the deep end at this point given how much I've extrapolated from a pair of extremely minor characters you're not intended to dwell on... but this is all in service to one of the most morally complex characters in the entirety of Mushoku Tensei and I feel it does a disservice to Paul's story to surround this richly complex 3-dimensional PERSON with flat cardboard cutouts. It yanks me out of the experience by reminding me constantly that "I am reading a story meant to inform me of past events" rather than becoming immersed in the setting to experience those events through Paul's eyes.
A lot of this smacks of Rifujin-sensei being too busy to do anything more than a cursory glance at the script while "supervising" the production simply to determine whether anything directly contradicts his canon and nothing more. At the end of the day, this remains a minor nitpick for a couple insignificant characters in a spin off of dubious canonical value. It's just a tad disappointing in the same way the manga tends to disappoint because the spinoff material so often misses the mark when it comes to what makes MT so special pertaining to characterization, particularly with secondary characters. In the same way everyone that leaves an impact on Rudeus' development gets a name, if the story is focused on Paul then everyone who leaves an impact on Paul's development should likewise at least get a name.
And the only reason I became exasperated by this apparent lack of care in the first place was because it teased me with the tiniest spark of inspired writing for [Water-God Style Teacher] in the first place. Sure, it's an extremely pale imitation of Roxy's departure, but even an inferior version of THE series defining chapter is bound to strike a chord on some level. Basically, just don't get my hopes up in the first place. Either let her and [Lorraine] be real characters with names and development or keep them as generic background NPCs to keep the focus on Paul. It's the lost potential that I grieve for rather than any genuine animosity towards what is otherwise a VN with decent production values. I mean, this is a series that could just as easily be referred to as "OOPS! All Protagonists!" in which literal nobodies can get a POV chapter, even Rudy's generic, unmemorable secretary! Uh... y'know, that elf lady whatsherface. I think her name was Frieren or somethin'.
