2024.05.14 00:19 Objective-Morning-38 Day 4

I felt sick around 4 weeks before, suffered from a nasty flu for about two weeks on the third week i had recovered. My stepdad asked me to create a website for his company. interestingly, i did it a ease. I find it very interesting. now i am back to the usual routine.
DRDCEWMEC- i have found out new ways of recording the CBT techiniques on to my fitnes pal so that i am not only recording the diet and excercise but also making notes for the CBT.
As for today i woke up inthe morning aorund 11am. I realise the situation at my rented house. the outside environment is very difficult for me to sleep. I thinking moving outside of here and moving to a larger also quieter apartment would deemed to be neccessary for me in the near coming future. So from now on my routine has changed to sleep at 12am so that i am wake up around 8 to 9 am then i will start my day. today i woke up 11am then i had two coffee i took the usual supplements following the CBT strategies.
CBT; 1. meditation 2.diary 3. supplements including omega three, multivitamin and vitamin d3 4. sleep music 5. sleep tea 6. sleep perfume 7. cold room 8. lavender shower gel and shampoo (from 1 to 6 are active and 7 and 8 are passive). another classification is that the diary belong the the D and the other 7 are the CBT which belong to the C.
After i took the supplement i went to the gym. I realised i had no groceries left so i took the supplements with two cups of coffes and one mug of milk and i developed very bad diarroeah around 4-5 times. very good for losing the weight that is the good side.
later on the day i completed my food diary and then read sunzi, 33 strategies of the war and 36 military strategies of chinese warfare. One thing i learned most today is the ending strategy. Most ppl when they declared a war with others, they did not end with good terms and they will resume back to the original enenemies for no reason. Robert greene state that if you know/ analysis the situation, most often this is because of either of conflicting interest or the way of human behaviou human nature. very often there is nothing we can do about it. e.g. if this business or coroperation is against this someone's interest then obvious both you and him cannot come into terms. on the other hand let's say if he who can longer come into terms or taking advantage of you then he would hate you if you do not delater the ending strategy. From the famous quote the kindeness does not necessarily breed kindess in return in this world by Robert greene. The pp who do not understand this principal would struggle greatly.
Application: recently my roomate had trouble with me using the shared bathroom with him. he is claiming that he find it too difficult to share with me because he would like it to be more available with him . we had two shared bathroom one upstairs right next to me and one downstairs. I orignially agreed with him that it is ok for me to go downstairs if it is not too urgent but if it is then obviously i had to rushed to the one closer to me. Despit having repeated conversation i have devided to use the ending strategies.
There are a lot of ppl in this world who do not understand the society. they sort of live the world of their own in the example of my roommate he only considers for himself that if the bathroom near him is more available to him then it would be conveient and beneficial but he forgets to consider that what might seems convinient for him would also be conviniet for the others. this brings the key to advancing social skills, being a ppl person simplys means considerate more about others not only yourself. From the famous saying fit yourself into other ppl's boots. interestly, there are a lot of ppl in this world who does not understand this despite many years of repeptive failure experiences. in this situation because i had conversation over and over, i would not need to talk to him again. simply because if he does not get this principal then no matter how many times i expalinning to him it wouldn't make any difference. so what's the point really? so now it's the time to use the ending strategy. this is 1. the issue with the interest 2. the nature of the room who does not understand the common principles in life despite many times of repetitive explaining. the best practice now is to leave it there.
another learinig point of this strategy is the learn how to end the failure. in the past i had also experience failures and like many ppl i had learn to dealt with my failure 1. being hopelss and despair - thinking this is the end of the world and now there's nothing i can do 2. having negative thoughts and action about the society - blaming, accusing, being extremly defensive about yourself think everything happened is the fault of society 3. find nothing positive about the past failure experience and fallen into constant cycle of regreat.
what Robert said in his book as 1. Do not treat failure as failure but as a lesson to sucess so you need to know that both failures and success is in a constant cycles of repetition that is a common norm. what you need to do is to deeply analyse your failure and learn something useful out of it. this is also expalined in Rober kiosaki book do not just let life pushes you around instead learn something out of it which makes you stronger and smarter everyday 2. instead of being negative all times you should start learning some postitives out of it. this is greatly illustratd by the chinese philosophy so Ying and Yang. No matter how bad something gets as long as you are still alive there must be a corresponding positives. in other words if something is really happening terrible to your life then after you analysed it very carefully then there must also be at least one correponding huge positive. e.g. for my i graduated from pharmacy shcool becuase of my condition i cannot become pharmacist in the past i always thought of how other ppl in this society always descriminat me but on the other hands i have also learned the fundamental rules and algothrim of the society which is a key thing to master in order to thrive in this society. at the same time i als found my passion in tech, web desigh and cyber and going to pursue a carrere in this field. imagine if i never experienced these failures then how could i possibly learn and self develop and figure out my true passion. 3. feel extremely excited about failures since i just told you failures in life is inevitable and yuo know that failures taught us how to succed failures taught us how to thrive and strive better in life and in this society, failure has taught me how to fucntion better and accpeted better in this society, failure has taught me the importance of finding your target, do not be afraid, action and immeditate execution and the importance of long lasting perseverance. then now why are you afraid and why you are running away?

2024.05.13 22:55 Efficient-Barber-773 Does race, religion, etc. affect how we laugh beyond nuclear families?

I've read the rules of this sub and think this question fits.
Tldr: do non-white non-high control communities laugh loudly together? Alone? Not just, a polite laugh. A spirited, "raucous" laugh. Bothering people, crying yourself laughing. I wasn't allowed that growing up.
I've noticed especially watching comedians particularly famous in black communities, (background I was raised Mormon and white. I have educated myself but you're always ignorant.) such as Gary Owen, Katt williams that I've been exposed to recently, the laughter is lively. Spirited. I've also noticed while watching Maya Angelou read Still I Rise that laughter is very important to the reading of the poem, both as the reader and an audience participant. Even in a reading by Nikki Minaj at an A&E event that seems quite rich and California, she and the audience knew to laugh at the right time, though a completely different level of spiritedness.
My family is pretty stringent on laughter. My father has a booming laugh but my mother and sister are always shushing him and complaining about the volume. Meanwhile, they have all inherited my grandfather's sneeze, which involves near screaming when you let the sneeze out. I don't see why throwing my back out sneezing is any worse than laughing loudly.
Angelou - https://youtu.be/qviM_GnJbOM Minaj - https://youtu.be/WDfuJIBpXPM
Why do you laugh the way you do? (Regardless of background) Is there cultural context to laughter? Was there a significant impact by Angelou's poem on black communities? I found the concept of laughter and joy as resistance to be very powerful, and I wonder if it was employed or passed down.
White people feel like, polite at shows sometimes? I personally have difficulty regulating my volume and yeah I'd appreciate it if someone lmk I was talking WAY too loud but my girlfriend and family shushes me like. All the time, just for laughing. I see this less among some of the younger audiences I watch, Stavros Halkias and Nate Jackson's crowd work, people seem to let loose a little more. Did I just grow up in a cult so I'm weird lol?

2024.05.13 21:06 Hot_Application1447 Digging (A short critique of Seamus Heaney)

What is it with the Irish and digging? I asked my shovel knee deep in the garden Digging space for dog who couldn’t dig anymore. I couldn’t really handle a spade, just like my old man, we struggled away in turns and old clothes.
weak after forty minutes of cutting rock and clay. I stopped a few inches short of four foot and rested but had to resume the position; working to a deadline.
I kept digging. I wasn’t sure whether It was sweat or rain on my skin but I removed my jumper for the moisture. The roots in the hole’s side drew blood and tears scratching my bare arms as I delved in to scoop up more soil.
I kept digging. Half expecting to uncover bones, treasure or even turf but continuing I shook hands with the endless hard clay.
Dog went fifteen minutes later, in pain but relatively peaceful. It was the first time I saw death happen in my twenty four years.
Tiny Red breasted vultures now congregated around the hole looking for worms. We put dog in a throw and I put her in place
mother hugged brother as mourners do. Teary eyed father in a fitting role delivered a short, stoic sermon before I resumed the part of custodian and filled the hole.
I couldn’t stop for rest I couldn’t even think about my task. Longing to swap my compatriot spade for a squat pen or one more walk. I topped the mound off with her old kennel.
I’ve never been haunted before but hours later I can’t forget the smell of her final moments, I hope the memory of that smell leaves me alone.
What is it with the Irish and digging? I read the poem that evening, I could no longer see the romance in digging, repetitive, joyless a thankless task. I almost resented my pen. this turf to my clay these potatoes to my rocks. Heaney’s unsung heroes to my little role that morning, gravedigger.

2024.05.13 17:44 Spirited_Young_71 Week 17. Top 10 worst and best Depeche Mode songs

This is my last Depeche Mode ranking, so I'm going to thanks and say goodbye to all of you who liked these lists. See you, space cowboys!
  1. Now This Is Fun
Ironic, since to me it wasn't that fun. Too fragmented and I don't like the uncoordinated sound and voice. Said this, I have to admit that even for being the tenth worst Depeche song for me, it isn't that bad.
  1. Lovetheme
I know that putting an instrumental here is unfair, but I make the rules here. To be honest, this instrumental might be very relaxing in a good moment, but most of the time it's a boring interlude. They managed to do better instrumentals, but there's even a worse one, just continue to read…
  1. What's Your Name Often considered one of their worst songs ever, this gay anthem (no offense, read the lyrics) is at best a guilty pleasure, at the worst a terribly poppy song. It's not the worst just because it's pretty energetic.
  2. Slowblow
And this is the worst one. Apart from the name that seems like a dirty nickname, the song IS slow, so this is pretty much a pain since it comes after a lot of other instrumentals. By the way, the songs listed here still aren't that bad or outrageous, but from the next position there are songs that I almost can't stand.
  1. Black Day
Ugh. This song actually exist? Why? It's short, repetitive, and it barely has any meaning. Some of Depeche Mode's worst tracks at least have the excuse of being an experiment, but this doesn't. At least it's short.
  1. The Child Inside
This tune is like a “what if Depeche Mode didn't like instruments”. As you can imagine, this song barely has any melody, and that makes the song very boring. Still better than making the melody something insufferable, like the next positions.
  1. Told You So
This might be a very controversial opinion, since I often see it being called one of the best, but, for me, it's a big mess. Every, dammit, sound, is trying to overcome the other. I don't want beef with anyone, but really, I don't like this.
  1. I Sometimes Wish I Was Dead
An early and worse version of Told You So. As I already said, the name is deceitful, and the melody is straight out from a low quality party song.
  1. My Little Universe
I have to admit, that even if everything about the song is unsatisfying, from the verses to the chorus, from the intro to the build-up, the lyrics are very neat. That's the only saving quality that doesn't put it in the first position, other than being shorter than the actual worst.
  1. Pipeline
You either love or hate this one, and you can easily guess what I think about it. An experiment? I get it, but why is it so long and boring? This track desperately drags on for the length of six, damned minutes, making this one of the longest in their catalogue. And their worst.
  1. Cover Me
Spirit is very hated, but rarely I've seen this song being insulted; if you listen to it, you can imagine why. A country-rock ballad, tender and haunting enough to make me emotional.
  1. Here Is The House
If there's a Depeche Mode song that screams 80s loudly, that's it. Danceable, catchy and funky. And one of the few that isn't depressing.
  1. Mercy In You
I don't know what to say about this one, apart from being the most tripping and raw Depeche Mode song ever.
  1. Suffer Well
Usually debuts are pretty much experiments to becoming better, but the best track that Dave has written is his first one. This track isn't only great, but also hits me at home.
  1. Home
Martin’s marriage life wasn't very easy during the SOFAD and Ultra era, also because of his alcohol addiction, and this song is probably one of the most intimate depictions of the feeling of fault and desperation. And don't forget the strings, those, WONDERFUL, strings.
  1. Peace
Powerful vocals and majestic sound, this song doesn't get enough recognition. Martin considers it his best tune by lyrics, and I gotta say that it is one of his best works. The live version is something incredible.
  1. Ghosts Again
We can call this character development: how the sound has changed, the writing improved and the voice trained. It's a long journey, and this might be the testament of the greatness of Depeche Mode; however, that's not the end.
  1. Enjoy The Silence
I think that there's not a better way to start the top 3 if not with the hit that made Depeche Mode famous in the world. Their most cohesive work, sums up everything that made them what they are.
  1. Precious
If Home was the “I can't be helped” of Martin, this is the “I'm sorry, my kids”. This, from the first note to the last, is a roller coaster of bitter and sweet emotions.
  1. Walking In My Shoes
And that's the best. It's not emotional like Precious, but this is the song that I listen to when I’m on the ground. The piano, the guitar, the voice, and the lyrics, are marvelous at least. Not only Martin’s, but also my favorite. My favourite song, ever.

2024.05.13 12:57 SexxxMelaneexxx Pantoum

A pantoum is a poetic form that originated in Malaysia and has been adapted into various languages. It consists of a series of quatrains (four-line stanzas) where the second and fourth lines of each stanza are repeated as the first and third lines in the following stanza. The pattern continues until the final stanza, where the second and fourth lines of the last quatrain are the same as the first and third lines of the first quatrain.
Key features of a pantoum include:
  1. Repetition: The repeated lines create a circular, looping effect, giving the pantoum a unique structure.
  2. Fixed Number of Lines: Pantoums typically have a fixed number of lines, often eight, twelve, or sixteen.
  3. Rhyme Scheme: There is no specific rhyme scheme for a pantoum; however, a consistent rhyme scheme within each quatrain is common.
  4. Narrative or Reflective Themes: Pantoums often explore narrative or reflective themes, and the repetition can be used to build on or alter the meaning of the lines.
Here's a simplified example of a pantoum:
A breeze whispers through the willow trees (1) Among the willow trees, the whispers grow (2) Leaves rustle softly in the evening breeze (3) The evening breeze, a secret it bestows (4) Among the willow trees, the whispers grow (2) Moonlight paints shadows on the river's flow (5) The evening breeze, a secret it bestows (4) As night unfolds its tales in soft tableau (6) Moonlight paints shadows on the river's flow (5) Stars illuminate the sky's vast show (7) As night unfolds its tales in soft tableau (6) A breeze whispers through the willow trees (1)
In this example, lines 1 and 3 are repeated in lines 2 and 4 of the first quatrain, and the pattern continues throughout the poem.
😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬
Silent flakes descend from winter's embrace (A) Covering the world in a blanket of grace (B) Softly they dance, a tranquil ballet (A) In their frozen descent, a gentle trace (B)

Each flake unique, a delicate design (C) Adorning trees in a shimmering attire (D) A wintry art, intricate and divine (C) Nature's masterpiece, a scene to inspire (D)

Learning a foreign language using Duolingo is likely one of those experiences everyone has experienced once in their lives. This app works effectively and efficiently. It uses all its enthusiasm to remind learners daily that no matter how busy you are, you still have to set aside some time to learn a foreign language with the green owl. The story of this mascot has become a meme and has gone viral worldwide. Everyone laughed because of its excessive enthusiasm. But this proves that its enthusiasm and dedication are worthy of recognition.

FUN AND ENGAGING GAME-STYLE LESSONS

The first thing that makes this app famous is its extremely fun and easy-to-digest learning method. You will learn a foreign language through lessons designed to look like games. Of course, you also understand that language is created from life. Games simulate the natural functioning of language. That’s why learning a foreign language with this app is easy for many people to approach initially. Although it will be difficult to provide advanced knowledge, the language knowledge learned here is really useful for daily life.
  • Enjoyable and addicting lessons: Each lesson will be designed to be very short, just like a note. It will be easy to remember, accessible, and fun. Sometimes, a fun game will tax your memory more than hours of stressful studying.
  • An exciting variety of activities: Gmae includes many unique activities, such as matching games, speaking challenges, and quizzes, to teach you about learning foreign languages.
  • Motivating rewards: The app features many cute characters to help you have fun while studying. They will reward you if you continue practicing and improving your foreign language skills.

SCIENCE-BACKED METHODOLOGY FOR LONG-TERM RETENTION

Although you see that everything is aimed at fun, it seems like a humorous child’s game. But if you look closely, they are thoroughly researched methods. You just need to follow it consistently, and you can learn a foreign language.
  • Optimal learning design: This application is designed by language experts, so it is optimized for learning. And even study for a long time.
  • Spaced repetition: The application has introduced a method called spaced repetition. At a moderate interval, it will repeat the knowledge learned for review. This is very convenient for them in the long run.
  • Adaptive difficulty: The lesson’s difficulty is also determined by the algorithm that evaluates your level of development. The better you are, the faster the algorithm increases the level of the lesson.

ROBUST PROGRESS TRACKING TOOLS

As mentioned, the app has a strict algorithm system that continuously checks your level. Working will minimize the risk of users becoming frustrated with too difficult lessons. Through a long period of perseverance, even though the lessons feel easy, you have taken a very long step on the path to learning a new foreign language. Accumulate a little every day, over time it will become a huge treasure.
  • Daily goals and streaks: Every day, the app will give a reasonable daily goal for learning a little knowledge. And your persistence will depend on an index called streaks. Keeping streaks is also proof of how persistent you have been.
  • Achievements and rewards: Depending on how well you maintain a steady pace, you will receive a few rewards for the effort you put into studying. Lingots, Duolingo’s currency, will reward you for doing certain things in the app.
  • Skills visualization: During learning, users will be given a chart to prove their level. Thanks to that, you can easily track your progress so that you can continue developing properly. Furthermore, to have more interest in continuing to study when you see that your studies have yielded results.

SUPPORTIVE SOCIAL COMMUNITY

This app has a very large community that is learning along the way and continuously getting better. Knowing that many people are trying with them greatly motivates learners.
  • Friendly competition: It relies on charts to track learning progress, so the race to become the best at a foreign language is also meaningful.
  • Shared interests: Clubs connect with many friends who continuously share learning experiences. Thanks to that, users are more motivated to keep their streak.
  • Global community: You can share your learning journey to receive support for your progress.

2024.05.13 02:05 MablungTheHunter In My Dreams (Requesting feedback!)

In my dreams I’m watched by Demons. In my dreams they mock me so. In my dreams I’m struck by Demons. In my dreams they laugh aloud.
In my dreams I saw The Angel. In my dreams He looked at me. In my dreams I heard The Angel. In my dreams He said no words.
In my dreams He found the Demons. In my dreams they fled from Him. In my dreams He struck the Demons. In my dreams they laugh no more.
In my life He took my judgment. In my life I wandered far. In my life He gave me solace. In my life I looked for pain.
In my life I’m chased by Satan. In my life God hid my soul. In my life I’m serving Satan. In my life God shows me grace.
In my life I try to serve Him. In my life they make me weak. In my life I want to please Him. In my life they pull me back.
In my death I glorify The Maker In my death He delivers me. In my death I escape every Demon. In my death they cannot win.
In Heaven I will praise Him. In Heaven He rewards me. In Heaven I should beg Him. In Heaven He forgives me.
FEEDBACK: Hello! So I'm brand new to writing poems, but I've grown up reading Tolkien, my Bible, Narnia, things like that. I'm used to archaic language and terms, and have read a lot of poetry and song lyrics that started off as poems. I dont know any of the rules past "make it rhyme" and "make a pattern with the syllables." Any feedback on the structure would be great (not so much the content, I know most of you wont care for that part of this)!
I started each line the same, and kept the first and third line ending with the same character (except stanzas 4 and 7, which contrast eachother). Lines two and four dont rhyme, but I kept the syllables the same. Is this "wrong" or does it only matter that I was largely consistent? I know there are formulas and meters and stuff, but I cant really wrap my head around them yet. Did I unknowingly copy or closely resemble one? Anything I should improve? Is it too repetitive? Thanks guys!!

2024.05.12 12:09 beaquis Final thoughts +100h all 120 char recruited

Final thoughts +100h all 120 char recruited
Hello! When the game was released, I created this post as a thank you letter to the developers https://www.reddit.com/EiyudenChronicle/comments/1cegjoz/thank_you_letter_to_developers/ Now, after more than 100h, all 120 characters recruited and a lot of content played and unlocked in the minigames, so I can say that I am very satisfied and grateful and that this is a very worthy successor to Suikoden, it has its essense, and I hope we have Eiyuden Chronicles 2 someday in the future. It has been a long time since I spent more than 100 hours on a jrpg, only on Xenoblade in recent years. Therefore, I want to leave an extensive feedback or final reflection on the best and worst of this game:
https://preview.redd.it/kc0uzc4rzyzc1.jpg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d659b92afe0eb5b6fea720b0e77cad9699003f6b
PROS
  • I love the diversity of characters. They have known how to create many factions, many races, like-minded and charismatic groups, as far as possible, since it is difficult to go in depth when you have 120 characters in a game... but despite that great challenge, they have known how to do it. I feel like I've been able to connect enough with the characters that interested me the most. This diversity is also reflected at the playable level, in their weapons, in their fighting styles, in their roles in the HQ or as a fighter or support for your team... it is well done. Also, I liked seeing how both allied and antagonistic factions and characters come together throughout the game and how you go through all of them along the story.
  • The battle system seems great to me. I have never found it boring, many skills, magic and combos. Playing on hard difficult and with restrictions, you find a lot of use in magic and learn to make real good use of it all. I've always liked Suikoden's combat system and here we have it. The runes are back and I love that, although I miss the rune of punishment... I also really like everything about, as I say, the management of runes, also the equipment, how the stats work... I think everything about the battle is very good, I have fought manually a lot more than I thought, but the automatic fights have also been very useful for simple battles.
  • The difficulty, on a general level, seemed excellent to me. As I said, I've played on hard with all the restrictions except double mp/sp consumption and no running away. I have wiped many bosses, especially at the beginning of the game, some between 5 and 10 times, and ending up beating them has been really satisfying. The inclusion of special mechanics in the bosses is very good, because if you don't learn to comply with them, the battle will be very complicated. I just wish there were even more bosses. I would also like there to be unlockable end-game content after beating the game, that was more difficult, leaving aside the Hero's Trial Ground's.
  • I really liked the soundtrack, it surprised me. Far from being tiring or repetitive, it accompanies the entire game and its different parts very well. I want to highlight the opening song of the title, it is beautiful, it reminded me of the mythical sentimental song with which Final Fantasy begins and the other song, super epic, which at times reminded me of Studio Ghibli songs, Flags of Brave, is amazing.
  • The localization, the translation, in my case into Spanish, seems to me to be perfect... after beating the game I can say that all the complaints I saw about deluded trolls and toxic haters were unfounded. All the commotion and noise was caused by the occasional phrase that isn't so good, but doesn't affect anything in the game at all. It has been historically ridiculous to see people behave in such a disgraceful manner towards other players and the game developers. When did people become so intolerant and obsessive? By the way, the original voices in Japanese are spectacular, with famous artists, such as the one who dubs The Dux, who voices the villain in the Fate Stay Night saga or the one from Golden Kamuy. And so many more, there is a cast of voices that are true stars in anime.
CONS
  • The story is not bad, it must be said, but I have missed two things: greater epicness and a darker and more serious tone. In general, the tone of the game is happy and carefree, something characteristic of many generic animes but they are good and very enjoyable. The same story but with a more serious and darker tone, would have been better, and perhaps with a more dramatic and less predictable twist. Also, the story is simple, more than the end, what is enjoyable for me are the variety of events and characters you meet during the journey. Even so, I enjoyed it and I liked the few epic moments that there are.
  • There are broken things and bugs in the game that spoil it a bit. The cooking contest is broken, there are bugs when recruiting various characters like Reyna and Griffin, the auto-fight strategy system where you program commands that your characters must respect is completely broken... they ignore established orders. And so there are a few more things. What has bothered me the most has been the completely broken duel scenes, with sound desynchronization and scenes frozen for several minutes that completely take you out of the immersion of the fight... the final battle is terrible because of this and The credits scenes were bugged for more than 40 minutes... yes, no joke, I thought the game had completely broken and that I wouldn't be able to finish it or save the game, it lasted 10 minutes with a single dialogue frozen... it was terrible.
  • If the minigames had all been a little deeper, they would have nailed it. Fishing is very boring, in races you can't do anything during the race and then you can only feed and breed species, the card game is okay but it's very easy and lacks a little variety in skills... the cooking game is completely broken although I'm glad that the omelet is so highly rated and regarding the game of beigoma, what can I say... you can't do anything other than choose and throw the top and then you have to play the third game even if you have already lost or won, getting the beigomas can be a bit tedious too... Likewise, I am very grateful for all these mini-games, but it's a shame they haven't exploited them a little more. I also want to highlight that some games are difficult to discover... I unlocked cooking, beigoma and racing and others quite in the mid and late game. And in relation to the previous one, I think that the stealth mechanic is very wasted, I think it is only used once, and it is frankly fun... they should have used much more. The same with the puzzles, there are few but the ones there are are fun, they are good, like the Ground Trials or the JC dungeon. I wish they had made more puzzles like this, at times they took me back to the Zelda games.
  • The whole mess with backer rewards on kickstarter has clouded the game's launch a bit. I have not been a backer but I have followed everything that has happened a little closely and, of course, it is normal for there to be upset people. Even so, it is not surprising at all, if you have bought something imported from Japan, you will know how very difficult and expensive it is, especially after the pandemic. Fulfilling many of the rewards was always impossible, it was easy to notice... still, I ask for patience and support for the developers, and I praise their good attitude to find solutions and help people. I know they do everything they can, if they can't solve something or have defaulted on a reward, it's because it really isn't possible to fix it or get an easier solution. Therefore, in short, I believe that both parties have been innocent, the developers for believing that they could comply with everything and the backers for believing that these types of rewards could be fulfilled, or at least, without additional shipping costs that logically , from Japan they are very high, with currency exchange, customs, etc. I don't like early access because I've already encountered some disappointments, so I've learned my lesson and, if you don't want to get any scares or surprises, my sincere and real advice is to buy the game when it comes out or, in any case, support early access but be aware that things may not go as expected.
  • Finally, it is not something very important... despite the large amount of content and extras in the game, I have a little missed the presence of the traditional secondary quests. And, related to this, they could have included the character DLCs for free, as secondary stories to delve into optionally. Or that the DLCs were cheaper... the truth is that I don't know if I feel like spending €25 on the season pass to play the DLCs or I've had enough of the game for now... maybe later or if they put it on offer.
And that's it. Thank for reading this long post, thank you very much for the game, I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!

2024.05.12 05:41 Electronic-Ad-1818 I (21F) am not physically/sexually attracted to my boyfriend (21M) anymore but I love and care about him so much. What should I do?

For context, my boyfriend and I have been together now for almost 4 years (started dating senior year of high school) but we were best friends since 5th grade before that. It’s definitely been a huge roller coaster with many ups and downs but we’re at our lowest right now.
His pros are that he’s very loving and caring, has a huge heart, and we can laugh and joke about any and everything. I’m also really close with his family.
His cons are that he’s not very dominant, requires constant repetition and reminding (very forgetful), doesn’t know how to be spontaneous or romantic, and has an attitude problem when having difficult conversations/arguments.
I feel like I put up with a lot in this relationship, such as dealing with him and exes in the beginning, having to constantly remind him of every single thing, issues with him following random girls on social media, etc. I had my own faults of insecurity and trust issues from a previous relationship so we both aren’t perfect of course. Through all of this, I still fought for the relationship.
But recently I’ve realized that we may just not be compatible. He wants to do music and become famous, which is uncertain in itself. I want to work a 9-5, live a private life, build a family, and have security financially. Also, his love language is physical touch, so he craves intimacy. But I can’t stand to think of being intimate with him anymore. I don’t want to make out, cuddle, have sex, etc. I just can’t. Which is so crazy to think because we used to be AT IT EVERYDAY in the beginning!
He seems very in love with me and I don’t have to repeat myself AS much anymore (because I have to hound him about everything), but I feel like I’ve just been so drained over time from basically teaching step by step instructions on how to be my boyfriend, being the dominant partner, and worrying about the incompatibility of our future careers and how that will play out that my sexual and physical attraction has fizzled.
I love him! I care for him so much! I’m just not in love with him at this moment.
He’s my best friend and it’s so hard to even fathom really breaking up with him. I really enjoy doing little everyday things with him like running errands, going to the gym, and watching movies. But when it comes to intimacy, I’m not interested, I can’t even force myself to be. I’m unsure if the feeling will come back or not. And I know he deserves someone who can meet the needs of his love language and I don’t want to keep putting him through this when he’s doing his best to meet my needs.
I’ve tried to have the conversation with him that we aren’t compatible but he begs and pleads and convinces me to just take things one day at a time and keep trying.
Am I too stuck in my head? Are we just young and dumb right now and I should give it time? Is it over? I feel so confused and scared and I just don’t want to hurt him but I also don’t want to hurt myself in the long run.

2024.05.12 04:28 shaneka69 MINNESOTA NUMEROLOGY DECODE

MINNESOTA NUMEROLOGY DECODE

Today I will be decoding the state of Minnesota. I recently did one for Massachusetts if you would like to check that out. I will begin decoding the letters in the state letter by letter and then point of conclusive insights afterwards.
M - This is the 13th letter of the alphabet which will point to the energies of 4 which represents caution, privacy, withholding, responsibility, order, restriction, and family. A place with this letter as the first letter will likely have things in order or order will be of significance.
I - This is the 9th letter of the alphabet which brings the energy of adventure, learning, wisdom, experience, and expansion.
N - Being the 14th letter, N vibrates at the energy of 5 which is the use of responsibility being used for creative purposes. This can take place in many forms, especially when it comes to a state and not a person.
N - Being the 14th letter, N vibrates at the energy of 5 which is the use of responsibility being used for creative purposes. 5 is the number of war and combat as well.
E - 5th letter of the alphabet which points to love, joy, romance, child-like energy, and creativity. 5 is the number of war and combat as well.
S - 19th letter which vibrates at the energy of 1, but in this case, Minnesota isn't a state looking to be in control or to get too much attention since the 1 energy isn't overbearing. In this case, the 1 represents being self-motivated and capable.
O - 15th letter of the alphabet which vibrates at the energy of 6. 6 is about discipline, hospitality, compassion, etc.
T - 20th letter of the alphabet which vibrates at the energy of 2. 2 is a money number and the number of cooperation, stability, and comfort. 2 is also about compassion as well.
A - 1st letter of the alphabet which is about action, observation, and opportunity.
Based on what we have decoded regarding the letters in Minnesota, we can see that the main repetitive number and energy is 5. 5 shows up 3 times in this state's name which equals 15 and then 6 when added and reduced. This is definitely a state that focuses on discipline, balance, and fairness. Justice or the justice system could be very significant for this state. This is also good for financial purposes because maybe they avoid causing financial problems for their residents. Family and love can also be significant for this state. They may welcome outsiders more easily than Massachusetts(I did a decode for them first). When violence arrises, they most likely take care of it as soon as possible to keep the state at a balanced medium.
We have the energy of 1 only repeating twice which means that this state may be more welcoming and cooperative in general. Could be nice acts of kindness pretty often. They likely create a fair workforce and living arrangements of their residents as much as possible.

2024.05.12 01:41 ExcitingBelt How to Draw Dark Fantasy

Getting Lost in a Dark Fantasy

Dark fantasy art opens doors to worlds where the imagination is king and shadows dance. We go on an adventure through the eerie creatures and haunting landscapes of the dark fantasy genre with this comprehensive guide. Come along as we explore the mysteries surrounding this fascinating art form, from its enigmatic beginnings to the contemporary advancements that are redefining its limits.

Understanding Dark Fantasy Art: the Basics and Progression

The Garden of Earthly Delights
The shadows of myth and folklore, as well as the depths of human imagination, serve as inspiration for dark fantasy art. The fascination of the unknown has always drawn artists, who have used it to inspire works of art that straddle the border between nightmares and dreams.
Bosch’s “The Garden of Earthly Delights” is among the first and most famous works of dark fantasy art. This masterwork, a triptych painted in the late fifteenth century, shows a fantastical landscape full of strange creatures. Bosch’s vision, which takes viewers to places like the Garden of Eden and the flames of hell, dissolves the lines between reality and fantasy.
Through their surrealistic visions, artists such as Salvador Dali pushed the boundaries of dark fantasy art further in the 20th century. The eerie investigation of time and decay found in Dali’s “The Persistence of Memory” is characterised by melting clocks and desolate scenes that inspire a sense of existential dread.

Essential Techniques for Drawing Dark Fantasy

Dark fantasy writing demands a combination of technical proficiency and limitless creativity to master. The following are some crucial methods to assist you in realising your sinister fantasies:
Understanding Light and Shadow: Dark fantasy is all about contrast, so understanding how light and shadow interact is essential. Try experimenting with various lighting configurations to produce striking effects and a feeling of depth and ambience.
Making Dynamic Compositions: The way your artwork is put together will determine how well it draws the viewer in and directs their attention. Try varying your viewpoints, angles, and focal points to produce compositions that are captivating and dynamic and entice the viewer into your gloomy world.
Examining Symbolism and Imagery: Mythology, folklore, and the occult provide a wealth of symbolism and imagery for dark fantasy art. Use symbolic elements in your artwork to entice viewers to explore the hidden depths of your imagination by adding layers of meaning and intrigue.
Embracing Texture and Detail: Texture gives your artwork depth and a tactile quality that entices the observer to enter its immersive world. Try experimenting with various drawing methods and mediums to produce textured, rich surfaces that beckon exploration — from the plush fur of mythological creatures to the rugged stone of ancient ruins.

Fun Drawing Exercise: Summoning Your Inner Creativity

With this entertaining drawing exercise, let’s set out on a voyage of artistic exploration. Take out your sketchbook and pencils, then do the following:
Setting the Scene: Shut your eyes and picture a twisted tree and crumbling ruins in a misted-over, bleak landscape. Imagine the unsettling sights and sounds of this dark fantasy world, and let your imagination run wild.
Selecting Your Topic: Who lives in this shadowy world? Is it an evil creature hiding in the shadows, a lone traveller daring the night, or something else entirely? Select your subject, then allow their tale to come to life on the page.
Drawing the Outline: Outline your subject’s form on the page using light, expressive strokes while keeping them in mind. Concentrate on drawing their silhouettes and basic forms, then let your creativity lead the way in bringing them to life.
Adding Textures and Details: After you’re satisfied with the composition, begin incorporating textures and details into your artwork. Try varying the shading methods you use to produce depth and ambiance, such as the harsh glare of a torchlight or the soft glow of a moonlit night.
Accepting the Dark Side: Accept the darkness with open arms! Play with shadows and highlights to add drama and tension to your artwork; dark fantasy art thrives on contrasts.
Finishing Touches: Complete your artwork by enhancing details and adding any last touches that will make it stand out from the rest. As you take a step back and admire what you’ve created, remember that you’ve called something genuinely magical out of your imagination.

Famous Dark Fantasy Art Pieces

Conan the Barbarian
There are many well-known pieces of dark fantasy art that have had a lasting influence on the genre. Here are a few noteworthy instances:
The eerie illustrations by Gustave Doré for Dante’s Inferno perfectly convey the terrifying scenery and tormented spirits found in Dante Alighieri’s epic poem. Dante’s trip through hell is vividly brought to life by Doré’s vision, which takes him from the flaming depths of hell to the icy wastes of Cocytus.
Conan the Barbarian paintings by Frank Frazetta: The fantasy genre’s visual aesthetic was shaped in part by Frank Frazetta’s famous Conan the Barbarian paintings. He established the bar for future generations of fantasy artists with his powerful heroes, vicious monsters, and grandiose landscapes.
Dark fantasy Art by Brom: Brom is well known for his atmospheric, gloomy fantasy artwork that combines elements of mythology, the paranormal, and horror. His vivid paintings teleport viewers to realms of forbidden magic and gloomy enchantment, where peril lurks around every corner.

The Rise of AI Art in Dark Fantasy

Artificial intelligence has become a potent tool in the art world in recent years. Large image databases can be analysed by AI algorithms, which can then produce incredibly lifelike dark fantasy artwork. While some art critics might object to the notion of AI producing art, others find the fusion of technology and creativity to be fascinating.
AI art explores new creative possibilities by utilising the computational power of machines, providing a distinct viewpoint on the genre. Artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms can recognise patterns, themes, and visual motifs in thousands of dark fantasy artworks that may have escaped human artists. This process can result in the production of captivating works of art that stretch the bounds of our imagination and alter our ideas of what is conceivable in the field of dark fantasy.
But it’s crucial to understand that AI art is a supplement to conventional artistic techniques rather than their replacement. Even though AI is capable of producing beautiful images, it lacks the emotional nuance and human touch that come from the artistic vision and the artist’s life experiences. As artists, we imbue our work with meaning and resonance that artificial intelligence is unable to match by bringing our distinct viewpoints, feelings, and life experiences to it.
AI art, in my opinion, is not a threat but rather a useful instrument that can support artists with their research and inspiration. Artists can explore uncharted creative territory, try out novel styles and techniques, and expand their creative horizons by working with AI. In the end, dark fantasy art will continue to be relevant in the digital age thanks to the fusion of human creativity and technological innovation.

“In conclusion, let your creativity run wild.”

Creating dark fantasy art is an adventure into the unknown, where creativity is king and imagination is unbridled. Embrace the dark and let your imagination run wild, regardless of your level of experience as an artist or your level of curiosity. A little inspiration, the correct methods, and a hint of magic will allow you to craft works of dark fantasy art that will enthral and motivate viewers for years to come.
So, why do you hesitate? Explore the depths of dark fantasy and let your creative side out now!

2024.05.12 01:17 ResponsibilitySad331 A Victim of Online Fiction - Ch15: Bad ties

Have you ever jumped into cold water on a hot day? Have you ever ridden an asteroid across the surface of the sun? Have you ever done a backflip off the moon and landed in a bucket of water in Vatican City? If so, then you’ve experienced one-tenth of what I experienced the moment I took that pill.
My headache disappeared, my heart started pumping, adrenaline and pure energy flowed through my veins instead of blood. My fingers twitched and my mind moved at three times the speed of light.
I fell back on my chair, flew towards my desk and danced my fingers like I was playing the keyboard. Chapters fell before me like grass in front of a chainsaw.
I cranked out TEN chapters in three hours. And that’s not just writing them either that’s editing them multiple times, adding extra hyperboles, and making the first 31 sentences and the title into acrostic poems that read: Alex has shit ties.
It was heavenly.
After dusting off my 11th chapter I stood, did a couple of yoga poses and then took off out of my front door for a run.
Now, everyone has a weakness, Superman’s got his kryptonite, Achilles has his heel, I have physical exercise. Usually, the thought of going for a run would make me want to chop my legs off. But those crazy little pills made the sad-sad go away. I was flying past houses, high-fiving bushes and waving to people as I roamed the streets like an exercise junkie.
My god-like strides took me through the suburbs of The Village through to the centre of town where Sherlock-Holmes themed coffee shops and Wuxia-themed teahouses dominated the streets. Writers sat in booths talking and hacking away at tablets and laptops, while cover artists drew mythical figures in between shots of espresso.
There was a hard-working bustle about the place. Little box-like robots wheeled their way out from a boutique distribution centre to people’s homes carrying boxes of wine, cheese, and steaming meals.
I slowed my run and sat back on a bench beside a rose bush. Birds were chirping and there was a hum of music from the cafes. It was heaven.
That night Manuel was back at my house and we walked three blocks over to a giant log cabin and another party. The next morning I took a pill, busted out eight chapters and went for another run. As the weeks flew by I attended more parties than I’d ever been to in my life, smashed out over a hundred chapters and grew dark rings around my eyes.
And then one day I met her.
****
This time we’d been invited to a pool party in the early evening. Manuel was sucking up to a bunch of new authors, and I was drinking beer with a bunch of horror writers while watching two guys beside the pool punching each other in the face over the use of Oxford commas. I didn’t know who was in the right – the guy whose eye was bruised, red, and puffy – or the guy with a swollen, red lump on his forehead.
Turns out, it didn’t really matter because they both paused mid-swing to stare at someone behind me.
In walked a woman in a white turtleneck, and large round glasses. Four other writers dressed in full tweed suits flanked her. Heads turned. Famous web fiction writers who I hadn’t worked up the courage to talk to were whispering to each other and pointing to the woman in white.
The horror writers next to me were trying to look disinterested but I could see them peering at her out of the corner of their eyes.
‘Hey Stephen,’ I poked a tall guy in the arm, ‘who’s that?’
Stephen laughed, ‘Good one man.’
‘I’m being serious dude, why’s everyone staring?’
Stephen hissed his next sentence like he was embarrassed others would hear, ‘Man. That’s the emperor of this place – the most read author in the whole of Crusher Media, that’s...’
‘...Lazy Cultivator? The guy that writes the chicken story.’
Stephen nodded, ‘Only – she’s not a guy.’
‘I guess I should say hi,’ I got out of my seat just as Stephen put his arm up to form a barrier.
‘Dude!’ He said, 'You, me, all of us,’ he gestured around the circle of horror writers, ‘We’re dirt.’ A couple of the guys clinked their beers and took a swig. Stephen pressed a finger into my chest, ‘We don’t talk to people like her. We don’t even look at her. This place has a hierarchy and man, you are the mud that hierarchy sits on.
I swallowed, ‘Good to know I’m appreciated then.’
Stephen shrugged, ‘Just letting you know the way things are dude.’
The tweed-wearers and their leader moved through the party like blue whales through a school of shrimp. A group of romance writers cleared out of their chairs beside the pool and the gang sat down and produced bottles of champagne from a wine cooler. The woman in white pulled a pair of VR glasses, a wireless keyboard, and a purple pill bottle from her bag, then she slipped a pill between her teeth, pulled the VR glasses over her face and started hacking away at the keyboard so rapidly she broke off one of the keys.
I swallowed, ‘She doesn’t come to parties often?’
Stephen shook his head, ‘not the sort of parties the rest of us get invited to. But... I’ve heard stories.’
I nodded slowly, my forehead was beginning to hurt the way it always did when the orange pills wore off. I took the orange pill container out of my pocket and shook it. There was no comforting tap of pills on the side.
I spun the lid open. It was empty.
My hands started to sweat. I got up, knocking over Stephen’s beer. He yelled at me, but I just waved an apology. I made a beeline straight for Manuel who was chatting to a bunch of fresh writers.
‘Hey, Eli,’ he said, wrapping an arm around me, ‘You guys heard of ElitheHill?’
A couple of the new writers grinned, one guy stuck out his hand, but my headache was getting worse with every second.
‘Manuel,’ I hissed, ‘I need some pills man.’
Manuel raised an eyebrow, ‘What?’
‘I need them now, my head...’ I stopped and rubbed one of my eyes, ‘I need the orange pills man.’
Manuel nodded, ‘Yeah, I’ll get you some man – in the morning.’ he wrapped his arm around me, ‘Come on man, be cool, have a beer.’
I shook my head frantically, my hands trembled, ‘I need them now Manuel. Come on. You’ve got to have at least a pack on you.’
Manuel stared at me, his eyes suddenly seemed much colder, ‘Yeah. I got some, but they’re two thousand reads.’
‘Two thousand?’ I bit my lip, ‘Man, they were five hundred two days ago.’
He shrugged and pulled the orange container from his pocket ‘You want em? Or not?’
My hands were a pool of sweat, my head thumped like a drum and bass concert and my right eye was twitching.
‘Yeah,’ I snatched them from his hand, ‘I’ll get Alex to transfer to you tomorrow.’
Manuel nodded, ‘Now get lost,’ his smile returned as he looked to the young writers, ‘You’re scaring off the new kids!’
The others laughed.
I fumbled with the pill bottle and Manuel gave me a kick, ‘Man! Get out of here.’ His eyes were hard again.
I stumbled my way over to the toilet, kicked the door open and slammed it behind me. My hands shook as I twisted open the capsule. The toilet smelt like vomit. The lid gave a click, popped open and I shook two pills into my hand. I usually took one, but I felt like I deserved the extra hit after everything I’d been through. I shoved them in my mouth, threw my head back, and swallowed.
A moment later I had electricity flowing through my veins and lightning in my brain. When I kicked the door of the toilet open it was like the world was in 8k resolution. Colours and lights were sharper and more beautiful. Beethoven’s fifth symphony was playing, someone passed me who smelt of elderflower and sweet wine. I breathed in and started dancing.
****
My call with Alex the next day began with me reciting a poem about his ties that I made up on the spot. He was wearing a beetroot red tie and by the third verse, his face had gone the same colour. It took him a few minutes to calm down, but when he finally did he ended up being quite pleased.
‘I see you’ve been producing a lot of chapters Mr Hill, you’re also pulling in a lot of readers. My suggestion is that you should start stockpiling them, rather than just posting them as you finish, that way when you hit another of your dry spells, you’ll have a buffer to get your shit sorted.’
I grinned and pulled the orange pills from my jacket pocket, ‘I’m not going to have another slump.’ I tossed the pill bottle up and caught it behind my back without looking, ‘Alex, I have discovered the key to literary immortality.’
Alex’s smile wavered for a moment, then with an effort of brute force he manage to affix it back to his face.
‘I’m glad Mr Hill.’ he went silent for a moment, ‘Just be careful okay... with those chapters I mean... we don’t want you to get burnt out with nothing left in the can.’
I shrugged, shook the pill bottle again, ‘Don’t worry about me buddy – just keep transferring Manuel that money. Okay?’
Alex nodded and ended the call.

Hey,wrote a long essay on how the effects of guilt are presented in macbeth. This is one of the few English literature predictions for macbeth. If anyone wants to mark it/give advice it would help you and it would help me 🙏👍💪 Good luck for Monday 💪 How are the effects of guilt presented in Macbeth?
In the archetypical tragic play of Macbeth, constructed masterfully by William Shakespeare in 1606, our protagonist Macbeth symbolises how the effects of human psychology are inevitable and unpredictable due to one's immoral actions, it is clear to the audience that guilt will consequently consume you and how fighting this/escaping this feeling is a uphill battle. Macbeth displays how regicide via murder is a transactional relationship with guilt and mental turmoil being the hefty price tag for him and his wife .By the end of the play, our protagonist descends from ‘Brave Macbeth’ to ‘something wicked’ and then finally to a mere ‘dead butcher’ emphasizing the hefty price tag of regicide which arguably is constructed as being the most expensive thing as Mcabeth’s life has been lost evoking fear in a Jacobean audience and approval of the execution of the plotters in the Gunpowder Plot who plotted against King James I, simultaneously pleasing King James.
The exposition of the play establishes the causation of the tragedy of Macbeth, and his consequent guilt: his morals being twisted. It is almost like the line between ‘good’ and ‘evil’ becomes indistinguishable transactionally causing guilt in various forms. The idea of guilt whether it be an imaginary ‘dagger’, ‘spot’ of blood, or ‘Banquo’s ghost’ is almost used as a harsh punishment or deterrent for being immoral and committing murder. Through the dialogue of the paradoxical statement of the witches, ‘air is foul foul is fair’ we are instantly introduced to the idea of moral ambiguity and lack of moral standpoint, Macbeth's causation of Lady Macbeth's guilt. The alliteration used here by the witches further demonstrates how morals can be mixed up and the similarity in phrases shows how unclear the statement is. This could symbolise how our protagonist may be blinded to any morality which is why he suffers immense guilt later on.The fact that we are introduced to these witches in the first act demonstrates the causation of Macbeth and Lady Macbeth’s guilt.
This idea is accentuated by the fact the first dialogue said by Macbeth is ‘So foul and fair a day I have not seen.’ This clever, mirroring of language by Shakespeare essentially foreshadows how Macbeth, embodies moral ambiguity set by the the witches. He has not even interacted with the witches yet,he is portrayed as being inherently ignorant of morals which is an inherent trait and which is why he suffers from guilt and not the witches therefore the effects of guilt are only felt by those who do immoral acts.
Instead of pondering for a couple days, Macbeth kills Duncan in the same day his wife convinces him ‘was the hope drunk’ and almost instantly feels immense guilt, highlighting how guilt cannot be avoided despite prior ignorance to it. Shakespeare constructs how guilt is a human and natural response to doing something considered immoral, however the Macbeth’s defy this. Macbeth tries to evade his destiny of Banquo's sons becoming king and instead it fails, quite Lady Macbeth also tries to evade guilt, but she fails. This not only shows the couple's similarities of trying to control everything and how they go against the natural order and natural nature of things but also demonstrates the power the natural order has. This not only emphasises the significance of the Divine Right of kings but almost symbolises the prevalence of God’s power which would align with King James I’s protestant beliefs and simulataneously alludes to the idea that God controls everything, which Macbeth tries to control, and so goes against God and so is severely punishment via guilt.
After Macbeth kills Duncan, Lady Macbeth tries to control and nearly dispose of Macbeth's guilt by telling her husband ‘it is a foolish thing to say a sorry sight.’ This demeaning nature of language used by Lady Macbeth shows the inversal of normal patriarchal relationships as Lady Macbeth seems to be more authoritative at this point and so tries to suppress her husband’s guilt. The irony is almost laughable to the audience as by the end we know she commits suicide due to guilt.
Gradually throughout the play, Lady Macbeth’s character appears less and less, showing how her influence dissolves, but also quite significantly her invisibility to the audience in the later parts of the play clearly depict her invisible war with guilt and her own mind. The disjointed prose used in Act 5 scene 1 by Lady Macbeth shows how while sleepwalking she says ‘out damned spot out i say’ The disjointed prose hightlights how her whole life has been altered due to mental instability and the fact she is sleepwalking symbolises how she has lost all comfort as sleep is usually where one’s mind would not be active, but Lady Macbeth is poisoned by her guilt. The repetition of ‘Out’ shows how she is failing to control her mind and the guilt embedded in it,so she has to repeat her commands. This failure of the psychological depiction of blood going away symbolises how her perceived power has slipped away which is ironic as it is a complete change to when she was portrayed as being dominant over Macbeth in earlier acts, showing how guilt can deform a person’s character and in Lady Macbeth’s case enter a full blown psychosis.
Although the "spot" is not palpable to anyone else, it is indeed an honest and "fair" symbol of Lady Macbeth's guilt. She has become stained mentally which has manifested physically in her perspective in the form of a ‘spot’ This shows the complete control guilt has over her and how she becomes a carcass of her former self.Possibly propagating to a Jacobean audience how women were not worthy of being in power symbolised by Lady Macbeth’s shocking dominant nature in the initial acts but then her weakness and lack of power which suffices to the audience’s expectations of women, and so supporting the patriarchal system at that period. This would make sense as simply operated within the guidelines afforded to him by English society and also King James I, was known to be a misogynist. Although Macbeth and Lady Macbeth both die in the final act Macbeth dies fighting telling Macduff "I will not yield" however Lady Macbeth commits suicide offstage. This contrast may have depicted how women in a patriarchal society could not handle mental problems like guilt so were weaker, but men could as Macbeth died fighting. Alternatively,it could show their strengths in simply facing and feeling the consequences of immoral acts as even though Lady Macbeth believes ‘tis safer to be that which we destroy’ she still faces her guilt giving her possible moral highground over Macbeth as she does not evade feeling of guilt unlike Macbeth. Also, she does not actually commit any murders which further supports this idea of Lady Macbeth progressively becoming more aware of her actions due to guilt and it is almost like as she becomes more conscious of her influence over Macbeth killing Duncan, she becomes more human and in doing so more ‘powerless’,showing how guilt can be a transformative tool in its essence and although she does commit suicide,in the acts following Duncan’s murder she begins to be reflective on their actions unlike Macbeth. She says ‘Nought’s had, all’ spent where our desire is got without content’ This dialogue must be taken metaphorically because Macbeths have achieved their goal but she states the trade off im political power in exchange for ‘guilt-free contentment’ wasn't at all worth it. Thus Shakespeare uses her psychological anxiety as a way to illustrate the self-defeating natures of avarice and desire, but Lady Macbeth is aware of this unlike Macbeth, humanising Lady Macbeth since she faces the guilt demonstrating how guilt only reveals your true character and how different people react differently to guilt.
In contrast,Macbeth arguably is scared of guilt and is too afraid to just face it supported by the fact that after Lady Macbeth dies,he is left with the consequences of his actions and becomes nihilistic highlighted in his famous soliloquy highlighting how ‘lifes but a walking shadow’, ‘a tale told by an idiot, signifying nothing’ He alludes to himself as ‘a poor player…upon the stage’ dissolving any responsibility and through this metaphor, we can see how he pities himself and believes in the predestination of life as a whole further disposing of any responsibility of his actions. The phrase ‘out, out brief candle’ symbolises how just like without thought he blew the candles of Duncan,Banquo and Macduff’s family, now he wants his candle to be blown away highlighting how his lack of critical thinking has lead him to act irrationally and unable to face his guilt so he wants the ‘easy’ way out and his candle to be blown away, essentially pleading for death.
To the audience, it is almost laughably idiotic, however symbolically depicts to the audience of 1606 how ‘fools’ like Macbeth commit regicide, demonising regicide as a whole. But at the same time, highlighting clearly how not only are the effects of regicide are inevitable but does unpredictable shown by the contrasting reactions to guilt and mental turmoil by Lady Macbeth and Macbeth. Both powerful at the start, dead at the end, one driven to pyschosis due to guilt and eventually suicide and the other who does loses everuthing but the mere ‘fruitless crown’ and the guilt of his actionsand eventually killed. Both carcasses of their former selves who become ‘a dead butcher’ and a ‘fiend like queen’
