House Republicans this week are working to pass a nonbinding resolution to condemn Biden’s immigration policies, although it was Republicans, under orders from Trump, who killed a strong bipartisan immigration bill earlier this year.
The only way to turn back this apocalypse, Trump and his supporters insist, is to put Trump and his team back into the White House. From there, Republicans will return those they consider “real” Americans to power.
The last few days have added new information about what that means. On Thursday, May 9, Senators Katie Britt (R-AL), Marco Rubio (R-FL), and Kevin Cramer (R-ND) introduced the More Opportunities for Moms to Succeed (MOMS) act. Britt—who is best known for her disastrous response to Biden’s State of the Union speech from her kitchen—said the measure would provide a federal database of resources for pregnant women and women parenting young children, but that information excludes anything that touches on abortion.
The measure is clear that it enlists the government in opposition to abortion, but more than that, it establishes that the government will create a database of the names and contact information of pregnant women, which the government can then use “to follow up with users on additional resources that would be helpful for the users to review.”
A government database of pregnant women would give the federal government unprecedented control over individuals, and it is especially chilling after the story Caroline Kitchener broke in the Washington Post on May 3, that a Texas man, Collin Davis, filed a petition to stop his ex-partner from traveling to Colorado, where abortion is legal, to obtain an abortion. Should she do so, his lawyer wrote, he would “pursue wrongful-death claims against anyone involved in the killing of his unborn child.” Now Davis wants to be able to depose his former partner along with others he says are “complicit” in the abortion.
Antiabortion activists are also seeking to make mifepristone and misoprostol, drugs used in many abortions, hard to obtain. In Louisiana, state lawmakers are considering classifying the drugs as “controlled dangerous substances,” which would make possessing them carry penalties of up to ten years in prison and fines of up to $75,000.
More than 240 Louisiana doctors wrote to lawmakers saying that the drugs have none of the addictive characteristics associated with dangerous controlled substances and warning that the drugs are crucial for inducing routine labor and preventing catastrophic hemorrhage after delivery, in addition to their use in abortions. “Given its historically poor maternal health outcomes, Louisiana should prioritize safe and evidence-based care for pregnant women,” the doctors wrote.
Louisiana lawmakers also rejected a bill that would have allowed anyone under age 17, the age of consent in Louisiana, to have an abortion if they became pregnant after rape or incest. Passionate testimony from those who suffered such attacks or who treated pregnant girls as young as 8 failed to convince the Republican lawmakers to support the measure. “That baby [in the womb] is innocent.… We have to hang on to that,” said Republican state representative Dodie Horton.
Today, at the Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies, a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization promoting Asian American and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander participation and representation at all levels of the political process, Vice President Kamala Harris encouraged young people to innovate and to move into spaces from which they have been traditionally excluded.
“So here’s the thing about breaking barriers,” she said. “Breaking barriers does not mean you start on one side of the barrier and you end up on the other side. There’s breaking involved. And when you break things you get cut. And you may bleed. And it is worth it every time…. We have to know that sometimes people will open the door for you and leave it open. Sometimes they won’t. And then you need to kick that f*cking door down.”

The White House today announced that it has awarded nearly $454 billion in funding from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, including more than 56,000 projects across more than 4,500 communities across the nation. Inseriert für 250€ woraufhin mir stolze 100€ geboten wurden vom Käufer, letztendlich aber für 220€ verkauft. Aber das ist ja Nebensache.
Ich wies den Käufer daraufhin, dass ich bitte das Geld über Paypal Freunde und Familie erhalten möchte, hat er jedoch nicht getan und mir über Käufer (?) das Geld überwiesen woraufhin ich natürlich erstmal Fragezeichen im Kopf hatte, 10x daraufhin gewiesen - ignoriert.
Familie gefragt was ich tun soll - Account besteht 10 Jahre, gute Bewertung. Okay, dann verschicke ich es. Um mir nicht anhören zu dürfen „Das Paket kam nie an“ habe ich es über versicherten Versand versendet.
Am 27.4 kam das Paket an und ich hörte nichts von Käufer. Gestern, am 13.5 schaue ich auf mein Paypal und sehe "-220€". Mit 3 Fragezeichen saß ich im Restaurant und fragte mich was los war. Das Geld wurde bei Paypal zum strittigen Betrag erklärt.

Angeblich sei die Jacke in keinem "sehr guten" Zustand und sei stattdessen “sehr gebraucht”. Ich war mehr als nur sauer, meine Mutter sowie Freundin kann bezeugen das die Jacke einwandfrei war. Außerdem habe ich es auf Video festgehalten wie ich die Jacke in den Karton packte und wie die Qualität war.
Gestern Abend direkt eine Meldung bei PayPal aufgegeben und abwarten.
Heute Morgen schickt mir jedoch der Käufer ein Bild der Jacke wo sie extremst kaputt ist, also überall Flusen und co. (So sah sie definitiv nicht aus!)
Was sind nun die nächsten Schritte, ich bin Schüler und sitze auf den 220€..?

(Stief)Vater (60+) schickt seit bald einem Jahr einer Dame irgendwo in Thailand(?) in regelmäßigen Abständen Geld (Nachrichten etc laufen mittlerweile über ein zweites Handy). Denn "mit ihm wär das ja was anderes"
Tja. Ich brauch mal etwas Rat.. Und muss mir das gerade von der Seele schreiben. Fühlt sich noch alles etwas an wie RTL Mittagsprogramm...
Ok, zu allererst .. Throwaway da ich mit meinem Haupt Konto recht aktiv auf Reddit bin und das hier und da auch verknüpft ist, weshalb ich das nicht nutzen kann.
Vielleicht fang ich mal am Anfang an. Also .. nicht beim Urknall. Sondern vor ca. einem Jahr, meine Eltern waren zu der Zeit im Urlaub und haben dabei u.a. eine Dame in den frühen 20ern (ich meine es ist Thailand gewesen) kennen gelernt. Urlaub verlief wohl soweit nett, man hat sich mit ihr und anderen dort gut verstanden etc. die beiden waren eh schon immer sehr gesellige Menschen.
Einige Wochen später ist dann durch Zufall aufgefallen, dass er seit dem Urlaub mit ihr in Kontakt stand. Immer mal sporadisch. Erst recht harmloses höfliches Hin/Her, dann kamen irgendwann die "traurigen Geschichten" (Mann hätte Sie verlassen etc.) und natürlich die obligatorischen Bitten um Geld. Er ist da wohl drauf angesprungen und hat ihr (allerdings weniger als von ihr vorgeschlagen) geschickt. (Was dann aufgefallen war).
Ziemliche Diskussion meiner Eltern und ich musste quasi als neutrale Person herhalten, weshalb ich das alles überhaupt weiß. Jedenfalls verblieb man so, dass er den Kontakt abbricht. Fühlte sich schon damals etwas nach RTL an aber naja .. war an sich ja nichts passiert. Fast forward bis etwa Januar, wieder durch Zufall (Handy zuhause vergessen, etliche Nachrichten kurz hintereinander. Folglich schaut man nach, was so wichtig ist) aufgefallen, dass er immer noch Kontakt hat. Streit/Diskussionen, Mutter wollte logischerweise auch die Nachrichten sehen und naja .. (So hatte Sie das vorhin grob umrissen) und wollte noch kurz los, ein paar Sachen vom Restaurant? holen. Die beiden waren erst kurz vorher wieder ins Zimmer gekommen, Stiefvater war erst duschen. Also wollte Sie seine Karte nehmen, die war noch in der Tasche die die beiden unterwegs mit hatten und dabei ist ihr (unter anderem...) ein zweites Handy in die Hände gekommen. Die beiden haben dann wohl ziemlich gezofft und er hat das Handy wohl im Januar angeschafft und seitdem mit ihr fleißig regelmäßig geschrieben und wohl auch immer wieder Geld geschickt.
Er scheint auch mental festgefahren zu sein, dass war er bei den voherigen Fällen aber ebenso. Hatte gehofft er hätte es wohl beim zweiten Mal realisiert aber scheinbar nicht. Er steckt in dieser klassischen "Ich weiß, dass Sie normalerweise andere um ihr Geld abzockt aber bei mir ist das was anderes" Mentalität fest .. Und zwar wohl massiv.
Und ehrlich gesagt, weiß ich nicht was ich da machen kann. Einerseits geht es mich *an sich* natürlich nichts an. Ist sein gutes Recht, andererseits fährt er gerade +20 Jahre Ehe/Beziehung gegen die Wand. Die ganze Aktion ist um so weirder da sein Vater vor ca. 10 Jahren etwas ähnliches veranstaltet hat. Hat mit ~75 die Scheidung eingereicht, ist mit seiner "Jugendliebe" durchgebrannt und hat quasi alle sozialen Brücken abgebrannt. Das Ganze ging aber auch massiv nach hinten los und war schon nach 1-2 Jahren wieder "vorbei" und das neue Pärchen hat nur noch zusammengewohnt (u.a. gesundheitliche Gründe), bis er einige Jahre später starb. Quasi niemand aus dem Freundeskreis wollte/hatte mehr mit seinem Vater zu tun, Familie hat ihn gemieden sofern möglich etc.
Ich kann also um so weniger verstehen, was er da gerade veranstaltet. Sich nach X Jahren trennen / Scheiden lassen. Passiert, da hat ja jeder für Verständnis. Ist ja bei ihm im Umkreis (Freunde UND Familie) auch vorgekommen, selbst in ähnlichen Altersgruppen. Aber die Aktionen hier .. keine Ahnung...
Wie kommt man denn überhaupt gesprächstechnisch an solche Leute ran? Er schaltet ja komplett auf Stur inkl. Gaslighting und versucht (wohl seit Januar) die Schuld auf alle anderen zu schieben ..

Ok, zu allererst .. Throwaway da ich mit meinem Haupt Konto recht aktiv auf Reddit bin und das hier und da auch verknüpft ist, weshalb ich das nicht nutzen kann.
Vielleicht fang ich mal am Anfang an. Also .. nicht beim Urknall. Sondern vor ca. einem Jahr, meine Eltern waren zu der Zeit im Urlaub und haben dabei u.a. eine Dame in den frühen 20ern (ich meine es ist Thailand gewesen) kennen gelernt. Urlaub verlief wohl soweit nett, man hat sich mit ihr und anderen dort gut verstanden etc. die beiden waren eh schon immer sehr gesellige Menschen.
Einige Wochen später ist dann durch Zufall aufgefallen, dass er seit dem Urlaub mit ihr in Kontakt stand. Immer mal sporadisch. Erst recht harmloses höfliches Hin/Her, dann kamen irgendwann die "traurigen Geschichten" (Mann hätte Sie verlassen etc.) und natürlich die obligatorischen Bitten um Geld. Er ist da wohl drauf angesprungen und hat ihr (allerdings weniger als von ihr vorgeschlagen) geschickt. (Was dann aufgefallen war).
Ziemliche Diskussion meiner Eltern und ich musste quasi als neutrale Person herhalten, weshalb ich das alles überhaupt weiß. Jedenfalls verblieb man so, dass er den Kontakt abbricht. Fühlte sich schon damals etwas nach RTL an aber naja .. war an sich ja nichts passiert. Fast forward bis etwa Januar, wieder durch Zufall (Handy zuhause vergessen, etliche Nachrichten kurz hintereinander. (Stief)Vater (60+) schickt seit bald einem Jahr einer Dame irgendwo in Thailand(?) in regelmäßigen Abständen Geld (Nachrichten etc laufen mittlerweile über ein zweites Handy). Denn "mit ihm wär das ja was anderes"
Tja. Ich brauch mal etwas Rat.. Und muss mir das gerade von der Seele schreiben. Fühlt sich noch alles etwas an wie RTL Mittagsprogramm...
Ok, zu allererst .. Throwaway da ich mit meinem Haupt Konto recht aktiv auf Reddit bin und das hier und da auch verknüpft ist, weshalb ich das nicht nutzen kann.
Vielleicht fang ich mal am Anfang an. Also .. nicht beim Urknall. Sondern vor ca. einem Jahr, meine Eltern waren zu der Zeit im Urlaub und haben dabei u.a. eine Dame in den frühen 20ern (ich meine es ist Thailand gewesen) kennen gelernt. Urlaub verlief wohl soweit nett, man hat sich mit ihr und anderen dort gut verstanden etc. die beiden waren eh schon immer sehr gesellige Menschen.
Einige Wochen später ist dann durch Zufall aufgefallen, dass er seit dem Urlaub mit ihr in Kontakt stand. Immer mal sporadisch. Erst recht harmloses höfliches Hin/Her, dann kamen irgendwann die "traurigen Geschichten" (Mann hätte Sie verlassen etc.) und natürlich die obligatorischen Bitten um Geld. Er ist da wohl drauf angesprungen und hat ihr (allerdings weniger als von ihr vorgeschlagen) geschickt. (Was dann aufgefallen war).
Ziemliche Diskussion meiner Eltern und ich musste quasi als neutrale Person herhalten, weshalb ich das alles überhaupt weiß. Jedenfalls verblieb man so, dass er den Kontakt abbricht. Fühlte sich schon damals etwas nach RTL an aber naja .. war an sich ja nichts passiert. Fast forward bis etwa Januar, wieder durch Zufall (Handy zuhause vergessen, etliche Nachrichten kurz hintereinander. Folglich schaut man nach, was so wichtig ist) aufgefallen, dass er immer noch Kontakt hat. Streit/Diskussionen, Mutter wollte logischerweise auch die Nachrichten sehen und naja .. Wohl das volle Programm, Nacktbilder, Liebesbekundungen und natürlich .. die Bitten nach Geld. Wie genau die beiden danach verblieben sind, weiß ich nicht. Ich hab davon nicht so viel mitbekommen, nur das die beiden sich irgendwo geeinigt hatten und es (scheinbar) die nächsten Monate dann wohl ruhig war. Das Thema selbst kam auch nicht mehr auf.
Über das letzte Jahr war es u.a. beruflich auch bei ihm sehr problematisch, dazu ist er zusätzlich in der Vorbereitung für die Rente bzw. wird (gefühlt, zumindest hat er es so beschrieben) in der Firma immer mehr rausgedrängt etc. und ich schätze mal, dass war einer der Gründe warum er so "gut" darauf angesprungen ist. Schätze mal, beide haben sich das so ein wenig schön geredet?
Naja, jedenfalls .. spulen wir vor bis vor ~ 1 Stunde. Die beiden sind momentan wieder im jährlichen Urlaub, meine Mutter hatte heute ihre Zimmerkarte verlegt und noch keine neue bekommen. (So hatte Sie das vorhin grob umrissen) und wollte noch kurz los, ein paar Sachen vom Restaurant? holen. Die beiden waren erst kurz vorher wieder ins Zimmer gekommen, Stiefvater war erst duschen. Also wollte Sie seine Karte nehmen, die war noch in der Tasche die die beiden unterwegs mit hatten und dabei ist ihr (unter anderem...) ein zweites Handy in die Hände gekommen. Die beiden haben dann wohl ziemlich gezofft und er hat das Handy wohl im Januar angeschafft und seitdem mit ihr fleißig regelmäßig geschrieben und wohl auch immer wieder Geld geschickt.
Er scheint auch mental festgefahren zu sein, dass war er bei den voherigen Fällen aber ebenso. Hatte gehofft er hätte es wohl beim zweiten Mal realisiert aber scheinbar nicht. Er steckt in dieser klassischen "Ich weiß, dass Sie normalerweise andere um ihr Geld abzockt aber bei mir ist das was anderes" Mentalität fest .. Und zwar wohl massiv.
Und ehrlich gesagt, weiß ich nicht was ich da machen kann. Einerseits geht es mich *an sich* natürlich nichts an. Ist sein gutes Recht, andererseits fährt er gerade +20 Jahre Ehe/Beziehung gegen die Wand. Die ganze Aktion ist um so weirder da sein Vater vor ca. 10 Jahren etwas ähnliches veranstaltet hat. Hat mit ~75 die Scheidung eingereicht, ist mit seiner "Jugendliebe" durchgebrannt und hat quasi alle sozialen Brücken abgebrannt. Das Ganze ging aber auch massiv nach hinten los und war schon nach 1-2 Jahren wieder "vorbei" und das neue Pärchen hat nur noch zusammengewohnt (u.a. gesundheitliche Gründe), bis er einige Jahre später starb. Quasi niemand aus dem Freundeskreis wollte/hatte mehr mit seinem Vater zu tun, Familie hat ihn gemieden sofern möglich etc.
Ich kann also um so weniger verstehen, was er da gerade veranstaltet. Sich nach X Jahren trennen / Scheiden lassen. Passiert, da hat ja jeder für Verständnis. Ist ja bei ihm im Umkreis (Freunde UND Familie) auch vorgekommen, selbst in ähnlichen Altersgruppen. Aber die Aktionen hier .. keine Ahnung...
Wie kommt man denn überhaupt gesprächstechnisch an solche Leute ran? Er schaltet ja komplett auf Stur inkl. Gaslighting und versucht (wohl seit Januar) die Schuld auf alle anderen zu schieben ..

Naja, jedenfalls .. spulen wir vor bis vor ~ 1 Stunde. Die beiden sind momentan wieder im jährlichen Urlaub, meine Mutter hatte heute ihre Zimmerkarte verlegt und noch keine neue bekommen. (So hatte Sie das vorhin grob umrissen) und wollte noch kurz los, ein paar Sachen vom Restaurant? holen. Die beiden waren erst kurz vorher wieder ins Zimmer gekommen, Stiefvater war erst duschen. Also wollte Sie seine Karte nehmen, die war noch in der Tasche die die beiden unterwegs mit hatten und dabei ist ihr (unter anderem...) ein zweites Handy in die Hände gekommen. Die beiden haben dann wohl ziemlich gezofft und er hat das Handy wohl im Januar angeschafft und seitdem mit ihr fleißig regelmäßig geschrieben und wohl auch immer wieder Geld geschickt.
Er scheint auch mental festgefahren zu sein, dass war er bei den voherigen Fällen aber ebenso. Hatte gehofft er hätte es wohl beim zweiten Mal realisiert aber scheinbar nicht. Er steckt in dieser klassischen "Ich weiß, dass Sie normalerweise andere um ihr Geld abzockt aber bei mir ist das was anderes" Mentalität fest .. Und zwar wohl massiv.
Und ehrlich gesagt, weiß ich nicht was ich da machen kann. Einerseits geht es mich *an sich* natürlich nichts an. Ist sein gutes Recht, andererseits fährt er gerade +20 Jahre Ehe/Beziehung gegen die Wand. Die ganze Aktion ist um so weirder da sein Vater vor ca. 10 Jahren etwas ähnliches veranstaltet hat. Hat mit ~75 die Scheidung eingereicht, ist mit seiner "Jugendliebe" durchgebrannt und hat quasi alle sozialen Brücken abgebrannt. Das Ganze ging aber auch massiv nach hinten los und war schon nach 1-2 Jahren wieder "vorbei" und das neue Pärchen hat nur noch zusammengewohnt (u.a. gesundheitliche Gründe), bis er einige Jahre später starb. Quasi niemand aus dem Freundeskreis wollte/hatte mehr mit seinem Vater zu tun, Familie hat ihn gemieden sofern möglich etc.
Ich kann also um so weniger verstehen, was er da gerade veranstaltet. Sich nach X Jahren trennen / Scheiden lassen. Passiert, da hat ja jeder für Verständnis. Ist ja bei ihm im Umkreis (Freunde UND Familie) auch vorgekommen, selbst in ähnlichen Altersgruppen. Aber die Aktionen hier .. keine Ahnung...
Wie kommt man denn überhaupt gesprächstechnisch an solche Leute ran? Er schaltet ja komplett auf Stur inkl. Gaslighting und versucht (wohl seit Januar) die Schuld auf alle anderen zu schieben ..
