Hi redditors.
I'm sitting in my room, and I've just tried to meditate (the shit out of me) by watching five different "guided meditation" videos online. Despite this, I still feel this claw of anxiety ripping in me, like it's festered underneath my skin like a disease or something.
At first, the anxiety was merely centered around my thoughts about the future, my own insecurities and what not, and I would get anxious FROM my thoughts. However lately it's been a shift. Now I feel uncomfortable sensations in my body, and THEN my thoughts start to spin. That's a terrifying change, because I feel like I have less control over what's happening in my body compared to my thoughts. I don't feel like i have a certain trigger anymore either. I just suddenly get anxious out of nowhere, and it completely consumes me. It's scares me, and i feel like im losing control.
I stumbled upon Dr. K's content a couple of weeks ago, and it helped me a lot in understanding my mind more. However, like I've heard him say, understanding doesn't equal change, and it couldnt be more true. I feel like Im doing all the right things (maybe Im delusional, idk). I eat healthy (lots of veggies), I work out, I drink plenty of water, and I try to be social. The only thing i know I dont have under control is my sleep schedule. It's undeniably shit.
I've also attended group therapy(CBT) for 6 weeks, and it's the same thing as with Dr. K's videos. I learn a lot, but it doesnt really help. I try to tell myself positive things in the mirror, and try to convince myself that feelings are not facts.
I also read a few days ago that the amygdala (part of the brain that regulates fear, stress etc) can actually grow if you experience a lot of stress or anxiety, so now my mission is to decrease the amygdala by meditating. However, my anxiety fluctuates so much during a normal week for me no matter how much I try to "accept" it, or "let it rise and fall", or practice self compassion. It's always there. Sometimes i just want to shove my feelings aside, but im afraid that would make them grow, and then "attack" me later.
I am diagnosed with PCOS if that's relevant(I'm 23F). My doctor said all my hormonal tests were normal though, so it shouldnt influence my mood.
So, I was just wondering:
Will the anxiety ever truly go away? - or is that a part of life now? Is it just about managing it from now on?
Is there something else I can do besides meditation, or, are there any types of meditation that you find works better than others?
What does a healthy mind look like?
Why is it that I could face whatever life had to throw at me when I was 17, and now, when I'm 23 (when I should be a stronger, wiser etc), I feel weaker than ever?
Any words of advice would be greatly appreciated!

So way back when i was a kid in 2012, i was having a very great birthday (i was turning 11 years old) And when it was time to open my presents, i was a little confused because there was this random game called “Call Of Duty Black Ops II) I didn’t know what the FUCK a Call of Duty was, i didn’t know if my parents were asking me to go to WAR or something. But since i got my new Xbox 360 a while ago, i decided to play this game for a while to see how good it is, and HOOOLY SHIT, still one of the most fun games i’ve ever played in my life. Within a few weeks i quickly got addicted to this game and got my whole friend group to friend me on Xbox and just join up and play. It was the best fucking game ever, i remember the cool zombie mode, playing on Nuketown, my friends blasting new music and joking around, the lobbies getting insanely heated, all the cool trick shots we would watch on YouTube, it was the best and funniest shit ever. That game is literally the goat of shooting games, back then when we didn’t have stupid Overwatch shit. Fast forward to 2017 and i had just gotten my Xbox One. This random game on YouTube was trending and it was called Fortnite. I didn’t understand what the hell the point was and i thought i was too old for the game because it looked weirdly cartoony, but i still gave it a try because i thought i could relive memories from the Xbox 360. So i grabbed some of my friends and played the game for the first time and HOOOLLY SHITT it was amazing. I remember when the double pump first got popular, the dance moves like the floss, and trick shots were finally back on YouTube. New battle passes and skins would come out, new weapons, and new locations and glitches which would make everybody flip out. The lobbies were not as heated as Call of Duty were, but they were still funny and i remember trolling videos on Fortnite being on YouTube. And best of all? The game was FREE, no money spent to get better or anything. It was like living in 2012 again, i miss waking up everyday during Summer and hopping on with my friends on some Fortnite. I actually was good at the game too, i remember doing Boxfigjts with my friends when Creative was being released too. I even remember doing it with random people also. When i would win they would get so mad and i would record it and show it to my friends, i even made a YouTube channel out of it that got like 500 subscribers, which was pretty fucking cool.
Fast forward to now, and i’ve just gotten a Nintendo Switch OLED to experience some games, and i was looking for some multiplayer shooter games that could make me nostalgic for playing both of those games, and i found this random game called “Splatoon” What the fuck is this??? No, seriously, what is this? Why are they octopuses? Octopuses in a shooter game make no sense, i thought they were supposed to be real people. Apparently you can phase through walls if you turn into an actual octopus, which i guess makes the people in the games half humans, half kids, so i’ll give them that. But why would you want to teleport through walls? This isn’t Portal, and i’m pretty sure they had that in one of the Fortnite seasons too, but that season came out after the games came out, so again i will give them that. And why are they fighting with PAINT?? Does. the paint hurt the kids or something? Is it their kryptonite? What’s the single player campaign like? Is there a civil war? How does the American Navy fit into this shit? Are they in the Cold War? What countries are involved in this shit? America? China? Russia? North Korea? Not only that, but what about Multiplayer? Can you get into boxfights? What’s this games version of a victory royale? Can you hit the gwiddy once you kill some me? I guess with paint. I’m pretty sure you can’t do online voice chat anywhere on Nintendo Switch. Which is a shame, but what about trickshotting? Is there any clans? Do FaZe Clan play this game? I remember them playing Fortnite way back. How do you get skins and characters in this game? Is there Battle Passes? Events? I’m just assuming you get them in the singleplayer campaign. How does this compare to Call of Duty? I might get some friends and hop on this game, trying to relive some memories. But i just wanted to know some stuff before i decided. Thanks random sub.

I’m married to a woman who acts like a teenage girl – February 6th, 2024
My wife behaves like a teenage girl and I don’t know whether to laugh or cry.
This is just a rant. Curious to know how many full grown adults behave the way my wife does. I’d say out of all of the adult women I know, like friends, relatives, wives of my friends, none of them behave this way unless they keep it a closely guarded secret.
Editing right here to add that my wife is in her 30s, for context.
My wife is always obsessed with somebody, a man or sometimes multiple men at one time. Usually there is one or two main focuses at a time. When I talk obsessed I mean obsessed like a teenage girl or maybe even preteen girl would be. I’ve seen pictures of her bedroom when she was that age and they were literally wallpapers in posters of her favorite guys. That’s totally normal for a 13 year old girl. She still behaves that way as a woman in her 30s. Granted, our bedroom walls aren’t wallpapered in posters but they probably would be if I allowed it.
Her obsessions have ranged from rock stars, actors, non-entertainment industry public figures. It’s like one day she hasn’t even heard of the guy in question and the next day she’s super fan #1 and knows just about everything there is to know about him. She will read and watch everything there is to watch about the man. She will bring him up in every conversation. She will adopt parts of him into her own personality. She will suggest things that make it clear to me that she wants me to adopt characteristics of these men as part of my appearance or personality. She will openly admit to me that she’s masturbated over the guy multiple times in one day.
When she finds a new man to obsess over, she puts the others in her little stable of men who she always has a place for in her heart and in her fantasies, so they never really go away. The new man just takes center stage and becomes the main focus of almost her entire life.
So the current obsession is so strange to me. Never saw this one coming, but leave it to her to always find somebody new to fall in love with. The intensity that she has during these periods - it’s honestly like she falls in love with these men.
I’m laughing so hard just typing this all. Her current obsession is Bret Hart, former pro wrestler. This woman had never watched wrestling before in her life. Always thought that stuff was below her. And now she’s obsessed with this former pro-wrestler. She watched one show about him, for reasons I’m not aware of, and I could tell almost instantly where it was headed. I thought “here we go…” So now the Bret Hart obsession is in full swing. Has she already dropped close to $1000 in vintage Bret Hart shirts on eBay? Of course. Bought all the stickers and magnets and all sorts of other stupid crap she can find? Yep. Does she send me Bret Hart YouTube clips all.day.long when she’s supposed to be working? Yes she does.
So, I better get to work brushing up on my Bret Hart knowledge and tag lines. This is the key to getting laid when it comes to her. I’m used to this by now. It’s just not something that I can easily explain to anyone I know.
I mean, there’s are things I’m a fan of, but she is next level. I can’t think of anyone I know who is her age and acts like this. She was voted most likely to grow up and become a groupie when she was in high school, so this is absolutely nothing new for her. Sigh.

Yeah my bouts of limerence have been with people I’ve dated but reading that made me realize that I was very much being obsessive and it was totally all consuming. Glad it’s over honestly. Those feelings are exhausting.
Very interesting to hear you say the feelings are exhausting. It’s like a full time job for my wife, so I could see that. She told me she’s at work with her door closed pretending to be working, but she’s really watching Bret Hart videos on YouTube. She can’t even focus on her job.

NGL, this is all pretty grim to me, my man....and I'm someone who loves having a partner who is passionate about things and nerds out.
I fear that you've spent so long with her infatuations steamrolling over your own interests and preferences that you have convinced yourself that getting attention-by-proxy as your main source of validation from your SPOUSE is a healthy way to live.
If I told you that I was big into anime and Japanese RPGs and the only way I get interested in doing it with my actual wife is if she adopts the catch phrases /personality characteristics of my latest "waifu", would you feel some concern for my wife's mental health?

She’s pretty dismissive of my interests and hobbies. I’ve told her I’d like her to try to pretend to show a little more interest sometimes. I make an effort to show real interest in her stuff and she does not do the same. I’m very into music and I do geek out over guitars and gear and things like that and she couldn’t tell you anything about any of the guitars I own other than “he has a blue one, he has a red one. “ We do love some of the same bands. Of course she wants to fuck the band members and I just want to talk about the chord progression on my favorite guitar tracks, but it’s close enough. We like a lot of the same movies and that sort of thing. We have the same sense of humor and can keep each other laughing for ages. We have a lot of the same views on life and on the world in general.
I don’t know, we just get each other I guess.
I would be concerned about the waifu thing, but I guess in my case she always likes guys who I think are pretty cool anyway. She has good taste, at least. If she has to be obsessing over some other guy constantly at least she does it over guys I can respect on some level.
Regarding the spending, I spend way more than she does. Only difference is it’s not usually fan merch I’m buying. But she tolerate my spending when it comes to stuff like guitar gear. She rolls her eyes and reprimands me but she tolerates it and just knows I won’t stop. I’m the same when it comes to her fan stuff. I get it, she wants the vintage 1993 Bret Hart shirt that costs hundreds…not a modern shirt that just anyone could go online and buy for $25 right now. She wants the cool, rare stuff. I’m the same with my guitars so I guess it’s like we understand each other in some way. I think it’s weird to become a fan of somebody and 2 days later drop thousands on them though. At least my money pit is consistent.
I think we both feel like we’re the only person who will semi understand and tolerate all of this stuff from each other
Not included here, but in several comments, OOP definitely brings up his wife’s looks as a positive in the relationship and he finds her antics at times amusing or even attractive.
1st Update - February 28th, 2024
I recently wrote about my wife suddenly discovering former pro-wrestler Bret “The Hitman” Hart one day after never even knowing of his existence, experienced love at first site, and is now even deeper than love with him then she was a month ago.
Tonight, I experienced a good hour of her sobbing, literal sobs, after watching the Bret Hart A&E biography. “I just love him so much. I love him with all my heart. I don’t want any more bad things to happen to him. Also, I’m very jealous he’s not my husband.”
She also went from not wanting any kids to suddenly wanting a baby so she can name it Bret (a girl or a boy, doesn’t matter…they will be named Bret). And she almost had me convinced, but I blame that on the heat of the moment.
She’s bought all sorts of clothes just like his. My wife now dresses like Bret Hart in and outside of the ring.
The past few days she’s been acting really annoyed with me. Finally I’m like “Wtf am I doing wrong?” I bought you Bret Hart stuff for your birthday! I call you Mrs. Bret Hart now, even though you’re my wife. I even sent you flowers at work from Bret. I mean that was supposed to get me points because she knew they were from me and I was playing into her obsession which she’s now apparently shared with everyone she works with. They’ve bought her a giant Bret Hart wall decal for her office.
Ok, so I did forget our anniversary which was very recently. Totally forgot it. Then again, so did she. She was too busy masturbating over Bret Hart to remember our wedding anniversary. I mean bad husband points for me obviously but all the birthday gifts had to have made up for it. I mean, I even ordered a Bret Hart birthday banner and got her a Bret Hart themed birthday cake as if she were a 7 year old boy in the year 1994.
So why is she acting so annoyed lately? Why does she act like she hates me and can’t stand to even be in the same room as me? She finally admits…I’m not Bret Hart. None of her obsession have ever been this bad. She’s seriously threatening me with divorce now because I’m not Bret Hart! She “just wants a guy like that.” She had to go walk the dog today and cry over it, how much she hates me and wishes she was married to Bret Hart. Oh fuck me you want a guy like your dad because that’s what Bret Hart is like…exactly like her dad, the same look, the same hair, the same damn age.
I told her I think she should get checked out for autism or some other sort of disorder. Her obsessions have never been this bad. She should make an appointment now because the waitlist is long. She just laughed. There’s nothing wrong with her. She just has different taste in men now, according to her.

Hi, you might remember me as the guy whose wife was obsessed with JFK (35th President of the United States), then experienced a world wind romance with former WWF pro-wrestler Bret Hart (the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be), but now she’s met a new man. I thought the Bret Hart obsession was the worst one yet. Never has she threatened divorce or told me she hated me because I wasn’t the object of her desire. Luckily, that was a relatively quick love affair for her. 3-4 months is a short run for her and one of her men. But I should be careful what I wish for.
This new one is the first time I’ve felt that I should maybe, just possibly, feel legitimately scared. Her newly developing obsession is Patrick Bateman. Yep, the character from American Psycho. Specifically, the movie version played by Christian Bale.
It’s not like she’s just met the guy. She’s seen the movie before but it doesn’t appear that they hit it off initially. Now, she’s suddenly started making constant reference to him. Bret is gone and now it’s just Patrick Bateman and maniacal laughter and purchasing all of the items in his skin care routine. I’d like to see her do 1000 crunches though. That’ll be the day.
She has always admitted to living the 80s preppy/yuppie look. She loves assholes. Assholes are a weakness for her. Psychopaths? Hmm…that’s a new one, unless you count the time she was in love with the Menendez Brothers years ago. God, the pastel Ralph Lauren sweaters she used to try to make me wear. Pastels are just not my shades.
Now, there was a time many years ago where I did have to hide all the knives in our home. I was legitimately scared that she was going to murder me. I forget what she was upset about now. I am, after all, her type - an asshole. I did something that bothered her and she ran for the knives. I had to hide them and then lock myself in a bedroom because she was literally chasing me. That was before she decided that she’d be the female Patrick Bateman. Granted, she says “only mean in the looks and snob department-nothing else.”
She’s trying to determine what the female equivalent to a Patrick Bateman hairstyle would be right now. I’m just worried about the bank account with this obsession. The amount she’ll spend on business cards alone.

Totally newbie to Google Analytics in a small business figure-it-out situation. I've been finding my way around and watching lots of videos for beginners, and just signed up for a course. But in the short term, I've got a question. My boss knows enough about GA to know UTM parameters are important and how to read the reports, but not enough to set it up. So, I've been tasked with figuring it out ASAP.
I want to set up a custom report that shows our newly established UTM parameters for a recent campaign, so that we can see source, medium, campaign, etc. We're using the same parameters across all platforms - socials, website, blog - but only some of them are coming through GA4 in the reports, and when I do an exploration, none of them are coming through.
I saw that I can set up custom dimensions, but feel like I'm missing a few (hundred) steps here, and so many of the support articles and help videos are super complicated and sound like a foreign language. Could someone explain like I am 5 what are the general steps I need to do before I can start capturing these parameters, so I can then set them up as custom dimensions?

The two services your server is now running are sshd for remote login, and apache2 for web access. These are both "open to the world" via the TCP/IP “ports” - 22 and 80.
As a sysadmin, you need to understand what ports you have open on your servers because each open port is also a potential focus of attacks. You need to be be able to put in place appropriate monitoring and controls.

YOUR TASKS TODAY

• Secure your web server by using a firewall

INSTRUCTIONS

First we'll look at a couple of ways of determining what ports are open on your server:

• ss - this, "socket status", is a standard utility - replacing the older netstat
• nmap - this "port scanner" won't normally be installed by default

There are a wide range of options that can be used with ss, but first try: ss -ltpn
The output lines show which ports are open on which interfaces:

The network notation can be a little confusing, but the lines above show ports 80 and 22 open "to the world" on all local IP addresses - and port 53 (DNS) open only on a special local address.
Now install nmap with apt install. This works rather differently, actively probing 1,000 or more ports to check whether they're open. It's most famously used to scan remote machines - please don't - but it's also very handy to check your own configuration, by scanning your server:

Port 22 is providing the ssh service, which is how you're connected, so that will be open. If you have Apache running then port 80/http will also be open. Every open port is an increase in the "attack surface", so it's Best Practice to shut down services that you don't need.
Note that however that "localhost" (127.0.0.1), is the loopback network device. Services "bound" only to this will only be available on this local machine. To see what's actually exposed to others, first use the ip a command to find the IP address of your actual network card, and then nmap that.

Host firewall

The Linux kernel has built-in firewall functionality called "netfilter". We configure and query this via various utilities, the most low-level of which are the iptables command, and the newer nftables. These are powerful, but also complex - so we'll use a more friendly alternative - ufw - the "uncomplicated firewall".
First let's list what rules are in place by typing sudo iptables -L
You will see something like this:

Chain INPUT (policy ACCEPT) target prot opt source destination Chain FORWARD (policy ACCEPT) target prot opt source destination Chain OUTPUT (policy ACCEPT) target prot opt source destination 

So, essentially no firewalling - any traffic is accepted to anywhere.
Using ufw is very simple. It is available by default in all Ubuntu installations after 8.04 LTS, but if you need to install it:

sudo apt install ufw 

Then, to allow SSH, but disallow HTTP we would type:

sudo ufw allow ssh sudo ufw deny http 

BEWARE! Don't forget to explicitly ALLOW ssh, or you’ll lose all contact with your server! If not allowed, the firewall assumes the port is DENIED by default.
And then enable this with:

sudo ufw enable 

Typing sudo iptables -L now will list the detailed rules generated by this - one of these should now be:

“DROP tcp -- anywhere anywhere tcp dpt:http” 

The effect of this is that although your server is still running Apache, it's no longer accessible from the "outside" - all incoming traffic to the destination port of http/80 being DROPed. Test for yourself! You will probably want to reverse this with:

sudo ufw allow http sudo ufw enable 

In practice, ensuring that you're not running unnecessary services is often enough protection, and a host-based firewall is unnecessary, but this very much depends on the type of server you are configuring. Regardless, hopefully this session has given you some insight into the concepts.
BTW: For this test/learning server you should allow http/80 access again now, because those access.log files will give you a real feel for what it's like to run a server in a hostile world.

Using non-standard ports

Occasionally it may be reasonable to re-configure a service so that it’s provided on a non-standard port - this is particularly common advice for ssh/22 - and would be done by altering the configuration in /etc/ssh/sshd_config.
Some call this “security by obscurity” - equivalent to moving the keyhole on your front door to an unusual place rather than improving the lock itself, or camouflaging your tank rather than improving its armour - but it does effectively eliminate attacks by opportunistic hackers, which is the main threat for most servers.
But, if you're going to do it, remember all the rules and security tools you already have in place. If you are using AWS, for example, and change the SSH port to 2222, you will need to open that port in the EC2 security group for your instance.

Hi I'm working on a smart watch project. I need some sort of very small rotary encodebutton combo that can turn infinitely in either direction (eg. it doesn't stop after 360 degrees), similar to the digital crown on an Apple watch. I've looked online and was unable to find anything that had either both a button and knob as well as being small enough. Thanks for your help!

I feel like I'm losing my mind with cat introductions, and I would really appreciate any advice, as I'm starting to think this is a losing battle and it would be best to re-home our new cat.
TL;DR: We've tried a million different suggestions to get these cats to get along, and it's starting to seem like it might be best, for everyone involved, for us to consider rehoming our new cat.
I adopted a 7-month old neutered male kitten (I will refer to him as "M") from a rescue three months ago (he's now 10 months old). My partner and I wanted a cat to join his 5-year-old spayed female cat ("P") so that she would have a buddy when we aren't home and have another cat to play with. P has lived with both cats and dogs in the past, prior to my partner adopting her, and she's been increasingly interested in the feral cats roaming our neighborhood that she watches from our back door. So we thought this would work out. Instead, it's been a nightmare. I've cried so much about these cats and the stress of this whole thing has been a strain on our relationship with each other and with the cats.
THE SETUP:
M stayed in my office, P was free to roam the house. It was a pretty immediate dislike from P and it took us about a week to move her feeder closer to his door. She refused to eat unless one of us were standing nearby and if M was eating on the other side of the door, she would stop eating to hiss. Gradually, she got to the point where she would eat, but she wouldn't finish her food (this is abnormal for her), and as soon as he would peek under the door or put a paw under it, she would hiss, growl, and eventually started lungint at him under the door.
M, meanwhile, was comfortable pretty immediately and was itching to get out into the main house. He is the MOST food motivated cat I've ever met and clever as hell. He figured out how to break into the automatic feeders we have, chomped on cords even with bitter spray on them, and will stop at nothing to get access to food. He also likes playing with water and has been able to disassemble every water fountain we've given him, and constantly knocks over water bowls. I think some of this was boredom and frustration with being trapped in my office. We started to let him out for supervised time in the house while P was safely in our room while we worked on all the other cat introduction reccomendations we'd read online.
INTRODUCTION STEPS:
We tried following Jackson Galaxy's cat introductions steps: no contact, separate litterboxes, timed feedings (closer and closer to the door separating them), scent-swapping, nearby treats/playtime.
To detail some of the many ways in which these introduction methods have failed:
* We tried scent-swapping with blankets -- P got treats for walking by it and eventually for sniffing it. She never got to a point where she'd interact with it more than that.
* We tried giving both cats treats on opposite sides of the door. P doesn't play on anyone's schedule but her own, and she's only interested in games she invents that are impossible to do outside this door, so the closest we got with playtime is giving P treats while M plays in his room.
* We tried site-swapping between our bedroom (P's area, where her litter box is) and M's room -- P would hiss and be clearly super uncomfortable in M's room, and when he was in our room and she had free roam of the house, she'd never go in there of her own accord.
* We gave both cats calming collars, used Feliway diffusers, and tried giving both cats calming treats. Nothing seemed to help.
* We tried to play with M more to tire him out -- there is no amount of play time in the world that satisfies this cat.
THE PROGRESSION:
As things progressed, we haven't been able to get the two cats to be in the same room for more than 30 minutes without them getting into some sort of scuffle. Because of the tension between the cats, we only let M out when both of us are home. As a result, M is becoming increasingly destructive -- getting into trash cans and the recycling bin, chomping plants, chomping cords, chomping books. His "bad" behaviors (yes, I know he is a cat and will do what he wants) are only increasing in frequency and in frustration. He is undeterred by spraying him with water, foil, loud noises, and completely undeterred by P's hissing/yowling/growling/whining/swatting or any other indication of "NO."
THE CONCLUSION?
At this point, I don't know what to do. This seems futile and I don't know how much longer we should give it when we can't let M have free access to the feeders or to the house, and P has less and less patience for this kitten. And at this point, it's so draining to my partner and I that we don't see how we can fix this.
So, reddit: How much time do we give it to figure out if M is just a bastard because he wants to be or if this is kitten craziness? How much more time do we give it to get these cats to coexist? What else can we do?

I have a Lenova Think Pad X1 for my regular work. Pretty happy with it. Main con is the battery life is abysmal. I'd like to buy a cheaper laptop/chromebook for travel and as a backup in case my laptop needs work. (I'm shell shocked from the constant repairs my prior HP Spectre required).
I just want to browse, read email, pay bills, watch videos, play online games as a temporary fill in until I get back to my regular laptop. I've said things like this before in posts and comments but here it is again because I think is always helpful a friendly reminder.
YOU HAVE TO DO THE WORK! I'm on day 56, life is better, sex is better, health is better and for the first time in over 21 years I feel like I'm in the right direction. So here's a short list that will help you on your journey to recovery.

1. You have to do your research online (I personally recommend Dr. Trish Leigh videos on YouTube).
   
2. You have to erase all of the triggers you have online (definitely delete X/Twitter, Telegram and all porn sites you have and you have to clean your social media, if you don't want to erase or unfollow then mute all the profiles that trigger you).
   
3. You have to talk to someone (family, friends, partner, whoever you trust, you need to speak about your addiction so you can be accountable; and if you don't have anyone you trust then talk to a free online therapist or to yourself).
   
4. You need to stop shocking your system and avoid shocking content (Don't watch things involving violence, gore, sexual content, sexual trauma, depression, death, abuse, etc.) because watching these things will make you feel bad or will make you numb, either way your brain will look for porn as a stimulus to get better.
   
5. You need new hobbies that create instead of destroy (this means things like exercise, art, music, board games, yoga, books, professional wrestling, meditation, etc. Avoid things with a toxic or violent fan base and environment, things related to sex, abuse or violence in general).
   
6. You have to forgive yourself (You have to, it's important).
   

Don't give up, you got this! It doesn't matter if it's hard, it doesn't matter if you relapse, it doesn't matter if you slip-up, just don't give up!
