I am 20F, and a college student. I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder the day I turned 18, and have been treated for it since I was 15 (my dad has it and I’ve always shown symptoms). I have been taking my meds for 5 years (lamictal, latuda, prozac). As a bit of a backstory… my first suicide attempt was last November, after my birthday. It was in response to my then abuse boyfriend breaking up with me. I took my entire bottle of Prozac and overdosed (I was told by doctors if I would’ve taken 10 more, I wouldve died).
Ever since, my life has not been the same. I quite literally can not function without my boyfriend, I don’t miss him, I miss the stability I had for two years of my life. EVERYTHING is different now. Every. Single. Thing. Waking up in the morning is my daily reminder that my suicide attempt failed. It’s humiliating.
In the start of 2024 in college I was introduced to cocaine for the first time. It was a social thing, but later became a daily thing. I got laced with fentanyl because I wasn’t careful, and ended up hospitalized. (I was fine within a few hours, just throwing up and rejecting the drugs in my system). My parents obviously found out through hospital bills, and they dragged me out of school immediately, made me come home, and demanded rehab. I somehow begged them out of it, given I don’t think I have an addiction. It was two weeks I was clean, now im back to using everyday. I can live without it, but knowing it makes me feel better, I use it. I’m trying so hard to not purchase any again, and just finish the bag I have.
I am unmedicated (for the absolut first time in my life) and struggling so badly. My parents want rehab, but I am fucking terrified. I’ve always been better at figuring things out by myself. I’m having issues with self esteem and boys. Ever since my ex and I broke up, everything has just been fucked.
I am so incredibly suicidal. To me, cocaine is better than death. That’s a shitty mindset, I know, but to me it’s true. I am in college for english and have dreamt of being an author since I was a toddler. For the first time in my life, I don’t care about my dreams.
I don’t recognize myself. I am such a good person. I love people so deeply. But I am disgusted with who I have become. I’m stuck between wanting my old self back, and just wanting to end my suffering. I don’t have any plans or anything, but suicide is all I think about.

Fr Stephen DeYoung says as much (around the 90 minute mark he begins talking about Psalm 81 (“you are gods”). At around the 1hr 40 mark he says that if an interpretation doesn’t make sense in the ‘original context’, it’s wrong.
But the ‘original context’ of the Psalms, as we understand that to be today, was not available to the apostles or to the Church Fathers. Even now the ‘original context’ isn’t something we actually have access to; it’s a construct of scholarship. One of the things I greatly appreciate about the Orthodox tradition, as I have understood it via the OSB, is that it allows for this. A text can have a plain meaning — it’s ’original context’ — and another, higher meaning, revealed by Christ and rooted in church tradition. This meaning needn’t have been intended by its human author. This is more consistent with how I understand the Church Fathers — and the ancients in general — to have read scripture. A framework would be applied, and meaning was drawn out of the text through it. There was no real sense of needing to reconstruct the original historical context to divine the ‘only correct’ meaning, ie that which aligns with the hypothetical authors hypothetical intent. This is the project of modern scholarship/some forms of Protestantism (more often than not, these are the same thing).
I’m not sure if I’ve radically misunderstood Fr DeYoung, or if I’m misunderstanding the Orthodox approach the scripture, but either way I’m hoping you guys can help me out here.

I have never owned an ipad and was planning on purchasing the 5th gen Air a few weeks back until I found out that the new ones would be dropping soon. I was hoping to buy a smart keyboard folio and a 3rd party pencil as well.
Unfortunately, the new Ipads don't seem compatible with the keyboard folio or the 2nd generation pencils. DDC still has to by state law receive 70% of the room tax collection.
The title reflects my assumption that the draft minutes correctly report what was said on April 9. If this was misreported in the minutes, I will delete the post right away.
There is nothing in the state statutes which requires that a single tourism entity receive the 70%. The 70% portion of the room tax money may be distributed to multiple tourism entities, if that is what the Door County Tourism Zone desires. It happens that there is only one tourism entity presently receiving the money, but it doesn’t have to be that way.

If the Ephraim Business Council received enough room tax money from the Tourism Zone, and passed it to the village of Ephraim for tangible municipal development, that would qualify for the 51%. That means it meets the “destination marketing staff and services” requirement.
The Ephraim Business Council could create a committee made up of entirely of unpaid Ephraim village board members. The council could receive a portion of the 70% directly from the Tourism Zone, and allocate it to the village for eligible tangible municipal development purposes according to the decisions of the committee.
That things could be set up this way is contradicted by what the DDC representative said at the meeting, according to the draft minutes. State law has restrictions about how to spend the 70% portion of room tax money, but her comment over-stated the extent of the restrictions. In responding to the complaint, the Door County Tourism Zone has spent $4,903. Ephraim would like the Tourism Zone to pay the $22,548 so they don’t have to, but the Tourism Zone won’t pay it.
This is a waste of tax money. A democratic alternative to wasting more tax money on legal fees would be for a special joint meeting to be held for all board and council members, from all Door County municipalities. Together, they could write and vote on a resolution expressing their intentions to the Door County Tourism Zone. The resolution could be more of a general nature if there isn’t much agreement, or it could spell things out more precisely if that is possible.
Topics they could consider:
When writing the resolution, the votes could be taken by municipality, the representation from each municipality having one vote. A majority of all the municipalities could pass a measure. If a small number of the municipalities balked at participating, a meeting with a majority of the municipalities could be held anyway. When it is finished, each municipality could decide to individually approve or reject the jointly-written resolution. This could be done at the joint meeting, for municipalities which have a quorum present. For those lacking a quorum, or skipping the special joint meeting, approval could wait until the next regular meeting.
A resolution written in this manner would not be legally binding on the Tourism Zone, but the Tourism Zone board members would be practically compelled to follow it. If certain board members don't comply, they could be removed and replaced, since they serve at the pleasure of the principal elected official in their member municipalities. The powers of the Tourism Zone to tax and distribute funds, and of Destination Door County and the Community Investment Fund to spend the funds distributed to them, are derived from municipal authority. Along with the method for appointing and removing Tourism Zone board members, the authority structure suggests that a resolution authored by a joint meeting of the municipalities would be regarded as compelling by the Tourism Zone.

I am about ready to give up and invest in a 3rd party Roku/amazon fire stick. Would that work on this tv? Would I be able to override and just use the Roku remote?

The Khatai District Court has ruled to extend the detention of three journalists involved in the “AbzasMedia case.” Bail has been denied for Ulvi Hasanli, the director of “AbzasMedia,” Sevinj Vagifgizi, the chief editor, and Imran Aliyev, the head of the meclis.info platform, regarding their release. Ulvi Hasanli has also filed a request to see his infant child.
Amidst the recent wave of arrests targeting journalists and civil society activists in Azerbaijan, restrictions have been imposed on the departure of public figures and media representatives from the country. She expressed concern about her husband’s declining health, evident in his voice: “I spoke with Alasgar today, and there’s a noticeable change in his tone. It’s likely due to swelling in the neck area, resembling goiter. There have been increases in measurements, impacting his vocal cords as well. For three weeks now, there has been no response from the tests conducted,” said Gunay Mammadli. On April 26, Alasgar Mammadli underwent examination at the Ministry of Internal Affairs Hospital and blood tests were taken. He was then returned to the detention center. Neither Mammadli nor his lawyer has been provided with information regarding the results of the examinations.

On May 10, the case of Famil Khalilov, a critic of the government and a first-degree disabled individual, regarding his detention was reviewed. This includes three mansions in Hampstead situated on the same street, in close proximity to a residence previously reported by the OCCRP in 2015 as belonging to President Aliyev‘s family.
These revelations stem from newly disclosed information available on the Register of Overseas Entities, which was enacted into law in 2022 following extensive advocacy efforts by Transparency International UK, alongside other NGOs and parliamentarians.
The significant gap between the cost of these properties and the known income sources of the Eyyubov family raises serious questions about the origin of the funds used to acquire these assets. Three mansions secretly owned by Eyyubov’s wife, Zohre Sultanova, and daughter, Elvira Eyyubova, are located in prestigious parts of North London. Elvira also owns two penthouses close to the city center and a luxury apartment. Another property owned by her is in Canterbury, and another house is situated in a coastal town in Dorset.
The family acquired these assets in England through offshore companies between 2007 and 2018. Eyyubov’s wife currently holds stakes in two active businesses: a renowned café in London and a high-end hotel in the resort city of Batumi, Georgia.

Today is a very special day for me.
Unicorn Platform is at $300,000 ARR!
I bought it two years ago for $800k with 40k users.
After having one bad year after the purchase, the next year, I managed to grow it to 128,328 users, who built their Websites, Directories, Job Boards, Launchpads, and landing pages for their SaaS, Personal, App, Course, or Podcast.
How I got there (last 12 months):
1. Redesign.
I went through 1000+ support tickets one by one to 100 frequent requests.
At first, I wanted to start fixing them, but it'd taken us a year. I slept on this idea for a few weeks and realized that half of these may be solved by changing our entire UX from page-based to canvas-based. Like Notion, where there are no pages. It's only a canvas with a page, and everything else comes in popups.
It just erased 80% of the tasks from the backlog.
Then we tackled the remaining 20%(not all ofc, still working on it).
It reduced churn from double-digit to single-digit.
2. SEO.
I knew very little about SEO a year ago, so I had to learn a lot from scratch. Instead of implementing just one strategy, I went on to try pretty much all of them at once
3. Directories.
I saw traffic from directories 2 years ago on my other project(marsx). So it pushed really hard on listing on all directories for Unicorn Platform too. back then, most directories were not so popular yet, so I was kinda lucky to list there early and as they went viral, I got really good share of that traffic too.
4. Product Hunt.
We launched there in July. If you win the product hunt, there is a very long aftershock. You end up in newsletters and blog articles. We took 2nd place, but it was a very busy day. We scored over 1000 upvotes, so we got pretty good traffic and results.
5. Talking to users. Helping them.
I sent an email to every paid user asking for feedback and starting a discussion. I talked to at least 300 of them. It helped me figure out some low-hanging fixes I could do to keep them, and I also had a very strong network effect afterward. Many new users would tell me they got a recommendation from their friend.
Eventually, I started simply helping out all my users every day(I still spend at least an hour a day). For free. With my feedback on everything they ask, tips, and advice. I even connected one guy who was raising a round to an investor.
6. Social Media.
I shared all my steps—not just MRRs but my actual steps on how I got there and what I did. Many of such posts went viral and helped other makers grow their products. This led to X becoming the top 4 traffic source for sign-ups.
7. Traffic from my directories & products.
I have 24 products in total.
So my other 23 products drive traffic to this one via links in the footer and banners, and sometimes I recommend it in an email. About 30% of the traffic comes this way.
Also, I have over 20 directories, some of which are very successful, and they drive good traffic, too. I had a gut feeling about directories 3 years ago. But my friends kept saying, "Directories are out of hype by now..".
So, I gave up on the idea until November, when I launched the gpt directory, which went viral with millions of visits. After that, I built a few new directories every month.
8. Word of Mouth.
I track this via social media mentions, and it's my most important metric. It's the one in a pair with SEO that leads to PMF. In Jan last year, I was pretty sad to see that the viral "best landing page builders" posts on the internet would never have Unicorn Platform in them.
But all that I did above helped, and we started to appear in many such posts. Today, 90% of the mentions come organically from people on the internet.

9. Affiliate partners.
I've been running it for 8 months, and it works.
People bring sign-ups, and they eventually convert into paying users. Easy to setup. No effort at all once it's running.
10. Paid ads.
This one is short: I tried and failed. Most likely, I need to learn more about this, or maybe it never works.
11. Sponsoring other directories.
I sponsored a few directories to place my banner there.
I like it. There is traffic. The ROI seems good. I wanna do more of it. If you have a directory that's visited by busy founders, let me know, and I may sponsor you.
12. More templates and blocks.
I hired an amazing designer. He is the next Johnny Ive, trust me. We created many new templates and components.

13. Cross promo.

We drove traffic to Senja, and they drove some traffic to us by posting on social media about this integration. We may do more, for example, sending an email to all our users about Senja, and Senja sends an email to all their users about a Unicorn.
I have many more such collaborations coming. The next one is RapidForms. Users will be able to add very advanced forms with multiple steps and even payment steps.

As the one who has basically stayed longer in the sect, even though Qin Bai rarely practiced, with the ease born from years of being in the sect, he still managed to draw the wooden sword down in a straight, powerful line.

In addition, confidence blazed bright within him now that he had finally overcome the barriers of the 1st realm. And from what he had gathered, this Song Jia was all beauty with no bite, just another fresh-faced newcomer with no real strength to speak of.

The wooden blade sang through the air, trailing streamers of azure Qi that stirred Qin Bai's hair into a wild dance as it arrowed down towards her unprotected head.

To his delight, she made no move to channel her own Qi in defense against his attack. His smile stretched wider, vicious satisfaction blazing in his eyes at being proven right.

The Kunlun Sword Style he practiced was famed for its elegance and swiftness. The opening stage of Meridian March focused on stimulating the flow of Qi through the body's meridians and was practiced by those below the 4th realm who had not yet formed their Three Main Dantians.

His wooden blade met an impenetrable horizontal guard as Song Jia effortlessly parried his strike!

With a resounding clank that reverberated through the courtyard, she turned the wooden sword to absorb and disperse the weight of his weapon and the intense momentum of his descending body.

Qin Bai's victorious sneer froze, transmuting into sheer panic mid-air as he absorbed the impossible scene before him.

Not only had this slender beauty remained utterly unharmed and unmoved from her position, but she had negated and deflected the full force of his offense with apparently no effort at all!

Her calm expression didn't even flicker as the impact shuddered through her slim form in a manner that should have been impossible.

For a lower realm martial artist to withstand an attack from someone of a higher realm was nearly unheard of.

The only explanations were if she had undergone intense physical conditioning to augment her body's fortitude, but surely not at her delicate size.

'Or perhaps she had superior skill and experience in the same martial style as me... or even employed a different art entirely designed to counter the Kunlun sword techniques.

'But no... that couldn't be... could it?' Those were the inward thoughts ranging in Qin Bai's mind.

In that case, Song Jia could easily exploit any openings or weaknesses left by Qin Bai's overconfident assault and capitalize on her evident advantage.

And finally, the most logical yet unthinkable conclusion - her realm was higher than him...

"You..." Qin Bai snarled, poised to rotate his waist and deliver a retaliatory kick. But before he could, a look of acute satisfaction gleamed in Song Jia's eyes as her wooden sword continued halting the progress of his own blade.

The shock and disbelief writ large across his features made enduring his crude insults absolutely worth it.

"Stupid," Song Jia retorted, a mocking smile curving her lips as she reveled in his humiliation. For a brief moment she allowed the tension to ease from her slender shoulders, savoring the sight.

Then, with a subtle adjustment of her wrists, her wooden sword shifted trajectory. The pressure abruptly released from Qin Bai's suspended weapon, sending him stumbling forward towards her in his precarious, airborne position.

THUD!

In the next instant, a stunned gasp of surprise escaped Qin Bai's lips as Song Jia's wooden blade struck the unprotected right side of his abdomen with pinpoint accuracy.

"Gah!" His body flung violently to the side, legs buckling as he crumpled into an undignified heap on the ground. The surrounding disciples squinted against the billowing clouds of dust kicked up by his impact, watching in hushed disbelief as his form convulsed.

"That's it? He didn't even realize his mistake..."

"I thought Qin Bai was supposed to be strong...how pathetic am I in comparison..."

"What a disappointment, it ended in just one move..."

Qin Bai swallowed hard, casting venomous glances around at the other disciples gathered who were all weaker than him in terms of realm alone. The bitter shame and impotent fury churned in his gut as their mocking disdain washed over him.

Meanwhile, Lian Ruogang, the senior sister who had overseen the duel, observed the scene unfolding with a discerning eye.

Though her expression remained outwardly inscrutable, inwardly she felt a sense of satisfaction at Song Jia's elegant display of martial prowess against such an arrogant, overconfident opponent.

When the user of the quirk turns between 10 - 12 they can summon hell beings like skulls of people that are in the realm of the damned though they may seem as though they attack everything they won't attack unless provoked when the beings are destroyed the user experiences the pain the soul went through when they were killed
Upon Reaching the age of a highschooler 15-17 the user will and i emphasize WILL go through the quirks first awakening which allows them to travel in the shadows and go to the realm of the damned, though this may seem overpowered at first this, when they use this their quirk is limited to only being able to summon armor and 1 single skull as a companion and scout in a combat situation, the skull can be used as an extra pair of eyes for the user upon reaching the second awakening during the day their quirk is weakened but when the sun is setting it gets more powerful until midnight where it is almost invincible the sword the user is able to summon is able to take the shape of any knife/sword they are thinking of as it is summoned(can summon fictional swords form stories and video games ) Upon reaching the first awakening the user will randomly experience breakdowns in which a sword appears in their hand along with their armor being summoned onto their being and at that moment there is a chance of them going berserk and harming friends and classmates if that were to happen lifting the user off of the ground would completely subdue the user NOTE: this is only for about 3 months after the first awakening Yes this quirk has multiple awakenings
When user either goes through a life altering change or a near death experience they will go through the second awakening and be able to summon skeleton hell hounds to help them search for survivors in a wreck, find a target, or just be a good pet( Note they eat any raw meat uncooked that they can see) also upon reaching the second they can create wings out of shadows or fire that is nearby after that the quirk does not change until death where once the user dies the quirk will transfer to a soul it finds worthy of it, this person can be of any age but when first appearing in the it will not take over any other quirk inside the body it in fact stores them to transfer to the next user when the next gets the quirk they immediately get transported to the main government building to let the authorities know who the new user is because this is a very sought after quirk.

I am seeking to understand this and how it pertains to us humans and I have posted my questions regarding this which I am seeking answers to underneath my understanding.

My Understanding:
  1. From the biggest picture/highest level, there is existence, which is one thing, with infinite potential, and without a how or a why, it just is. This is existence, this is the One, this is God. (I would say this is Bashar's 1st law of creation, you exist.)
    1. For the sake of example, imagine a circle which is this existence/the One/God. And now for the sake of just this first point and to allow the next few points to build on top of each other, imagine that this circle just exists with that infinite potential but nothing is happening, it's just frozen and standstill, just pure potential.
  2. The One is always "doing" something so there is the concept of "happening" or "change" or "activity" which is that there is always something happening/changing with/to it. In other words, the infinite potential is always being realized and not just sitting there as standstill potential. This also means that everything is in the present only in the here and now only as things are only happen-"ING" and/or chang-"ING". This is just physics, there is no actual past or future and no such thing as time, only the present and now because there is essentially just this one thing which is just doing things. Do-"ING", Happen-"ING", Chang-"ING", present tense. (I would say this is Bashar's 5th and 2nd laws of creation, everything is changing and it's all here and now. Additionally though, I would say this is also Bashar's 4th law of creation, what you put out is what you get back, because the One (which is "you") is "doing" and all this happening/change is just the One's doing so whatever exists within existence within the one and whatever "is" is a result of the One's doing. So essentially whatever it does, is what is, and whatever is, is what it does, or in other words, figuratively speaking, whatever the one puts out is what it gets back.)
    1. So now the circle has happening/change/activity to/with it where potential is being realized and isn't just a frozen potential thing with nothing happening, the One is now doing things to/with itself out of it's infinite potential, things are changing, things are happening and again the potential is being realized.
  3. Through this happening/changing/activity, the One thing with infinite potential, has made itself into many "things" and everything that is, but still all are One and within/of the One. All these things ultimately are the One itself because it is the One that has turned "itself" into these, they all come from the One, exist within the One, or better yet they ARE the One. So everything is really just one thing, the same thing, in different forms/perspectives and the one thing is everything. (I would say this is Bashar's 3rd law of creation, the One is the All and the All are the One.)
    1. The circle now instead of being just one thing with frozen infinite potential where nothing else exits and nothing is happening, is now one thing with happening/change/activity with/to it's infinite potential which is now being realized and the result/byproduct of that is everything that exists, everything that is. All this is still one thing but it is now ALL this (potential realized) that is the One thing with happening/change/activity and not just One thing that is nothing else but that one thing with frozen infinite potential and no happening/change/activity and no realization of it's potential. I know my example of the One with frozen infinite potential and no happening/change/activity and no realization of it's potential as part of my analogy isn't actually a real thing, I'm just using it for the analogy/step by step explanation.

My Questions:
  1. What I have shared above, is that the same as what Bashar is saying and is it accurate about the structure of existence? If not please let me know/correct me.
  2. How and why is the One doing things in the first place? I know there's no how or why to the existence of the One or better yet to existence itself and it just is, but is there a how and why to the happening/change/activity of existence itself? How is this happening, and why is this happening? Why doesn't it just exist and nothing is happening?
  3. Are laws 4 and 5 intertwined in a way? What you put out is what you get back and change is always happening aside from the structure (first 4 laws).
    1. What I mean by that is, the One (all of existence, all of consciousness) is always doing happening/change/activity in this structure and whatever becomes or "is" in this existence/structure is ultimately a result of whatever it (the One) does or "puts out". So the happening/change/activity comes from us itself (the One, all of existence, not just us humans) and whatever that happening/change/activity does or results in is what will be, whatever we put out, is what we will get back. Whatever we do, is what is. So because the One exists (law 1), and it's always doing things (law 5), and doing these things in the present (law 2), and these "doings" have results (law 4), what we now have is the One creating many things (law 3), is this correct and is what you put out what you get back just saying that whatever change happens will have a corresponding result so whatever the one does will have an aligned result?
  4. Do we humans have limitations or do we humans have infinite potential as well?
    1. In existence everything is possible as there is infinite potential but to me it feels like humans are a creation of that infinite potential in such a way where we have limitations. I mean I can't just at the snap of my finger grow wings on my back, or spawn a dog in my room, or completely change my physical appearance such as my skin color, hair, nose, height, etc., or turn my friend into a bug, or make the sun explode, etc.
  5. Why does Bashar's 5th law say that everything changes except the first 4 laws, why isn't it everything changes except the 5 laws? Does that mean that there will be a point in time where there will no longer be change and/or the 4 laws themselves can change? If the 5th law says everything changes except the first 4 laws then doesn't that imply that the 5th law can change and then that means there can be a stop to all change and also the first 4 laws can change?
  6. If the One is everything and it's doing all the "change" and everything is just the one itself in different forms and perspectives, are we humans just a part of the change since we have the ability to "do"/"change" things? In other words, we have free will since the One is in control of everything and we are just extensions of the One so we have certain abilities/potential but not all meaning we have limitations and there are things we can do, but also things that we can't do which are being done by other "things" in existence which are also the One. To put it simply, the One is doing everything and if everything is just the One then everything is doing things and everything's "doing" is all collectively all the change in existence. This would mean that we humans have limitations to what we can do and all the "change" in existence is just each individual thing in existence (not just humans but EVERYTHING) itself "doing" things which it can do and all of this together makes up all the constant "change" in existence.

PD - 2020 NVC DQ - 2022 - F2A Category
On my 3rd visit (2023) to my spouse as B2 we learned about AOS processing, so we consulted our lawyer if I could pursue adjusting in the US even if we chose consular processing on the approved form i130&i130a and already DQ at NVC. They said we could since I am eligible that time and my PD is current, so with lawyer’s help, we filed forms(i485,i131,i765)… the initial filing was rejected the notice says g-1450 cc transaction is invalid due to incomplete info. So our lawyers resubmit with our money orders and it was accepted… unfortunately the decision was denied because the timing when the forms were received by USCIS is already past my authorized stay (by 10 days). I think the lawfirm really messed up with filing and so we have lost confidence with them already. And obviously we were extremely upset because we paid a lot for past filings, we trusted and for nothing. After that, we took their advise to just wait until my spouse become USC and stay in the US and be low key so I did stay because LDR is really difficult 😞. Until recently (2024) my spouse become USC and we are now contemplating on consulting with them again vs file i-485 ourselves. I remained in the US and never left (as per their advise) they say once my spouse become USC immediate relatives are forgiven so I overstayed my authorized stay on i-94. My qqs are:
*will i be forgiven? *which forms we need to file? *Do we need to inform NVC that we will do AOS instead? *Since the current approved i-130 is spouse of LPR and is w/ g-28 (lawyer signed on this is no longer connected w/ the firm who filed our denied I-485) and we chose to do consular processing abroad? … Do we still need to file another i-130 indicating the beneficiary plans to do AOS on part 4 of the form? And sponsor is USC? *there is a question on i765 have you previously filed form i-765? Should I answer no? i485 decision denial came 1st before i765&i131 were adjudicated, my uscis account says case was terminated for i765&i131 on the history status. I never got any EAD card. I never work. *if we do AOS by ourselves do i need to attach past rejected receipts, receipt notice and denial notice of the past application last year? *the decision notice has A # but i’m not sure if that is Alien number, should i write them on the forms we are about to submit?
I’m sorry if I have a lot of questions because we don’t know how to start, i guess we have a trauma with consulting paralegal/lawyer. Thank you in advance for sharing your inputs and helping us with our dilemma.

The dust swirled around, carried by the winds that roared through the mountain passes, howled in the valleys, and scoured the faces of the mountains. It was a thick gray dust, glittering here and there with plasma glass dust. Burnt out cars were covered by the dust, thickly caked after being rained on by thick, black rain.
A single building somehow sat intact amid the rubble and destruction. It was a low, squat building, surrounded by wreckage and ruin. A sign, blasted and scorched, had two jumping fish on it and the legend "Pop: 4,823" at the bottom even though the middle of the sign was gone.
The sound of drums and singing could be heard from the building. Not the driving frantic beat of modern music, but the steady cadence that carried with it a solemn feeling. The singing was from many different voices, male and female, but all of them in a language that time had nearly forgotten.
From out of the dust came figures. Two female, four male, and single figure that stood out from others.
Together, they moved toward the sound of singing, until the reached the door.
The leader, a large man of heavy muscle and bone, checked the doors with one hand, a large pistol in his hand.
"Barricaded," the large man said. He motioned. "We should check for any other entrances."
The older woman of brown skin and tightly braided hair moved forward.
"Allow me, brother," she said gently. She held her hand out, twitched her fingers, and smiled.
From inside came the sound of furniture scraping across the floor.
"Thank you," the large man said. He pushed open the doors, holding them for the others.
Inside was a curio shop slash tourist center slash museum. Buckskin and beaded works hung from the walls and ceiling. Glass cases containing ancient artifacts were scattered about, the glass shattered by the apocalypse that had rained down upon the world.
The drums played and the voices sang.
"It's a recording, Father," the slender brown skin man said, brushing the gray dust off of his clothing.
"Live voice," the largest of the men said. He lifted his head, cocking it slightly to listen closer with his right ear. "Young. Early twenties."
"If you say so," the thin man said. He looked around. "This is all devoted to a single person."
"Sometimes, people are that important to others, Dhruv," the older brown skin woman said softly, patting the slender man's arm. "Important to others as you are to us."
The slender man looked doubtful but nodded.
The youngest male of the group looked around, staring at the artifacts and relics scattered around. On his shoulder sat a green mantid wearing a food wrapper as a poncho.
"She's this way," the heavyset man said, leading them on a winding course through the shattered displays and racks.
In the back room, surrounded by artifacts, buckskins, and beaded works, sat a single young woman. Her eyes were white, blinded from the plasma flashes. Her skin was scarred from burns, her hair was only left in small patches. Her skin, beneath the ash and the scarring, was a rich bronze, her remaining hair was black.
She was singing along with the recording, swaying back and forth slightly.

"She's dying," the man said, standing up. "Hunger, thirst, radiation poisoning, at least a half dozen infections," he heft the pistol. "There's nothing we can do for her. Low-vee Apers."

"Stay thy hand, Phillip," the one who was markedly different said, his voice as gentle as his features formed of flowing blue and white computer code.
The large man lowered the pistol.
"She's dying," the large man repeated. "Radiation poisoning, starvation, a hard way to go."
"Will none of you speak for her?" the man of code asked gently.
Before any of the others could act, the slim bald man stepped forward. "I will," he said softly.

The large man stepped back, a compartment opening on his thigh. He holstered the pistol, looking doubtful, and the compartment smoothly closed, leaving his leg unblemished.
"I need more genetic code," the slender man stated. He stood up, moving around, touching artifacts. "This. Here. An artifact recovered from a collector only a few years ago. It has genetic code attached."
He touched the artifact, then moved over to the woman, who was still swaying back and forth, singing, unaware of the others around her.
He knelt down, reached out carefully, and touched her forehead.

"Is she alright?" the youngest male asked, his voice full of honest concern.
"Exhausted," Luke said. He lowered his head slightly, sweat dripping from his bald scalp. "That was tiring."
The glittering man moved forward, kneeling down to touch the shoulders of both the woman and the bald man.
"Now you see in yourself what I saw in you," he said.

"I..." the word hung in the air.
It seemed like the entire universe held its breath to Jaskel.

The rounds exploded on the glowing blue shield that only appeared around the impact points, showering sparks across the bay.
The bald figure made a motion and the pistol flew into pieces, the Admiral yanked into the air upside down.
"Gimme missiles," Jaskel grated from between gritted teeth.

The woman spoke, her cadence stately and almost archaic feeling.
The man spoke back to her in the same language.
More troops ran into the bay, even as the windows overlooking the bay shattered. Weapons deployed, pointing at the pair.

Guns flew away, breaking apart, rapidly disassembling. Power armored troops were flung into the air, to hang upside down. Captain N'Skrek found himself upside down, scrabbling for purchase on this air.
The woman spoke to the man. He spoke back.
Finally, he turned, facing the troops hanging in mid-air.
The woman spoke.
"My sister apologies for my rude actions," the man said. "I am merely ensuring her safety."
She spoke some more.
"She has been gone for many years," the man said. He looked around. "My sister, a Biological Apostle of the Digital Omnimessiah, pleads with you to lower your weapons and stay your hands."
The tension was so thick it almost made Jaskel gag.
Finally, the Captain put the tip of a bladearm against his temple.
"Stand down," he said, Jaskel hearing it through his armor's commo system. "All hands, stand down."
There was silence for a moment, only broken by the background humming of the ship's systems.
The woman spoke.
The man faced the Captain.
"She will go with you, to answer questions, on the stipulation that I accompany her and that no man's hand is raised against me without cause," he said.
The Captain nodded.
Jaskel felt relief as he was flipped over and set on his feet.

Captain N'Skrek ducked slightly to fit through the doorway into the Captain's Briefing Room Six.
Sitting at one end was the woman, now clothed in what his implant assured him was treated deer hide leather, with tassels and beads upon it. The man was wearing a uniform that made his implant twitch and his nerves draw tight.
A Terran Combined Military Authority uniform.
His staff filed in behind him and took their seats once he sat down.
"I'm Captain N'Skrek, currently assigned to the Gray Lady on autonomous assignment," N'Skrek said.
"You heard me," the slim bald man said. He gave a grin. "You may also know me as Vat Grown Luke or Dhruv Deshmuhk."
The woman spoke and he shook his head. "Yes, sister, I know, Deshmuhk is my slave name. I wear it for revenge."
The woman spoke again, her tone slightly chiding.
"Like they say, the best revenge is living well, sister," the man said, still smiling.
Again, the woman spoke.
N'Skrek noticed that his implant was absolutely no help in deciphering the woman's speech.
"I know that doing things like that and saying things like that is exactly why Daxin always told me people wanted to punch me in the face," the man laughed.
He turned back to Captain N'Skrek.
"My apologies. My sister refuses to speak anything but her people's ancient tongue," his eyes gleamed with mischief. "She is slightly put out with me for answering in Confederate Standard, since now you know that she understands perfectly what you are saying."
N'Skrek nodded. Vat Grown Luke had given up a valuable piece of information in what was sure to be delicate negotiations.
"And what should we call your sister?" N'Skrek asked.
Vat Grown Luke smiled. "Tsakáka Wia, but it would probably be easier for you to use the more common name," he said.
The woman spoke sternly.
"What? It's your commonly known name?" he said, smiling.
The woman's face grew stern and she spoke rapidly.
"The first lesson we learn, sister mine, is that we must bend the knee to reality," Luke said gently. "That name has no power, only a few of us remember it."

N'Skrek stayed relaxed and calm, at least outwardly.
"I am willing to accept, at this time, that the Biological Apostles and the Digital Omnimessiah were and are real," N'Skrek said.
"Just be glad Dax isn't here. He's not as even tempered as I am," Luke said.
Sacajawea spoke again and Luke laughed. He looked at Captain N'Skrek. "She was just reminding me of the time Daxin completely lost his cool and went to town with his cutting bar on a Countess Crey Bingo Cola vending machine that ate his money then mocked him for it."
"He was known as Enraged Phillip," N'Skrek said.
Sacajawea spoke for a moment and Legion laughed, then turned to N'Skrek.
"Yes."
N'Skrek hated that. When a person spoke at length and the translator just replied with a single word.
"Why are you here?" N'Skrek asked.
Legion smiled. "You have forgotten important things, Captain. You, and the entire Confederacy have forgotten some very important things."
"Like what?" N'Skrek asked.
"If you print enough identical clones, I am reborn through them," Legion smiled. "But that's not the big part. The big one is the one that the Mar-gite's masters either forgot or never learned."
