Recently took my 5th Gen TRD Pro 4runner in for service. Had oil change, brakes, rotors, tire rotation and wheel alignment performed. However, upon leaving my slip indicator light was on and would not turn off. Immediately took it back and the mechanic could not figure out how to get it off. He spent about another hour trying to resolve it. Redid the alignment, plugged in code reader- no codes. Just won’t turn off. My traction control and ATRAC button don’t seem to be toggling on or off, Not sure if that’s cuz the slip indicator light is on or what. I had to reschedule an appointment with the master mechanic on Thursday.
Anybody have experience or knowledge on what could be going on?? Thank you in advance!

Basically I had symptoms for a solid 4 months. I had about 2 weeks where I felt normal again and now it's all back. I feel like I have to pee all the time.
It's so mentally taxing. I'm trying to stay positive that things will get better again, because they got better before even if it was for only 2 weeks but it's so hard. I'm turning 24 in a week and my friends wanted to do something together, but I'm not sure I'll even have the energy to go because I might still be having these symptoms.
I need to hunker down and find a job but everyday I just find myself spiraling down a pit of despair that I'm never really gonna get better. I hate it here and I wish I could be healthy again.

No need to tell me about the dark origin of hijab back then. Yeah I knew hijab only exist to separated non-slave woman and slave woman back in the old days yet they still being harrassed by some stupid Sahabas of the misogynist, pedo warlord Muhammad that you all hoped can see his grave alongside with the entire Kaabah been burnt down one day, right?

When I learned about 12th house placements, everything suddenly made sense. I’ve had friends who became enemies. people I barely know who try to take my ideas copy my art. i’ve had people who I thought were very close to me or people in positions of power who are meant to help me suddenly turn on me unexpectedly. Now that I know that I have a 12th Stellium in my sun, Mercury, and Jupiter in virgo everything makes sense. I often feel misunderstood yet for some reason there’s always people attempting to copy everything I do. I also have bouts of isolation. For example, I’m now in an academic setting and I’ve been studying for seven years. and academia I’ve dealt with plenty of people who have taken my ideas and publish papers. However, this trouble began way before adulthood.
For example, when I got older, my mother told me the story about when I was in preschool. my teacher would basically wear a clown mask and scare me and another child then lock us in the bathroom in the dark. The only reason why my mother found out was because the other child was having nightmares and the parent took them to the preschool to confront the staff and figure out what was going on, the other teacher finally let her know what our teacher was doing to us. Could you imagine doing this to a two year-old? growing up I had no idea this happened to me however I did have (what I thought was) an irrational fear of the dark until I was in high school and had to always sleep with a nightlight. It wasn’t until college that my mother finally told me this story. So then my fear that i did not remember was not irrational but deep with in my subconscious which seems to align with 12house themes.
When I was younger I often had adults who were suspicious of me for no reason. I was a quiet child and often very observant. I had a lot of anxiety because I could see through people in a way that others could not. At the time I did not know that this was the root of my anxiety. But now that I’m older, I know that when someone is aware that you see the parts of them that they are trying to hide, they become deeply uncomfortable with you. So this is something I often experience as a child.
In my dating life I’ve been a repository for broken people and often attract people who project an air of confidence, but are deeply insecure. I’ve had false starts and moment where I’ve stayed too long. And it seems in my dating life and with people around me there is often a projection they see me completely different than what I see myself. Of course this is not everybody and I’ve had friends who witnessed moments when people have done this to me. specifically people who are in positions of power I realize people were deeply insecure, will often see a mirror when they look at me they do not see me, but a reflection of their deepest Insecurities. This of course is both a blessing and a curse it seems I become a lesson in someway to those people without even meaning to.
I’ve also had bouts of isolation right now. I’m in academia where again I have to deal with people and their projections. Honestly, when the pandemic hit and I didn’t have to deal with people in person, my anxiety went down significantly, and I felt at peace. As soon as I was back on campus, the projections, the misunderstandings and hidden enemies surface. People who are supposed to be my colleagues were taking my ideas. One person I barely talk to you. I told them about my dissertation project and they published a whole paper. Another person who I worked with on on a different assignment ended up using my ideas for their whole dissertation. Anyways this is the end of my rant but do wonder does this ever get better?

Hi! So I’m a dancer and I’m starting college in the fall. I’m thinking hopefully to aim on getting top surgery next summer. I have a couple questions (please bare with me)

How long until I can dance again? Like when is it safe to even attempt to dance, when is it safe to go full out, etc? If any dancers have any experience of dancing post op, please share what things were like
How long do you have to go without being able to shower? I don’t want to subject my family to terrible stenches, especially my mom who has a very sensitive sense of smell.
Any surgeon recommendations in Ohio? My insurance covers it so they would have to be in the Aetna network but just general surgeon recommendations in Ohio would be helpful and I can hope that at least one of them is in network. Also please mention surgeons to avoid if you know any. I strongly prefer a non cis male surgeon.
I have a friend that is getting top surgery soon and he said his doctor tested him for tobacco so his nipples don’t fall off and even though he doesn’t smoke or vape he turned up positive. My dad smokes a lot and my stepdad vapes. If those tests are that sensitive that even secondhand smoke can affect it, how do I avoid all people smoking? Even walking down the street there’s people smoking and I breathe it in. I don’t know how I’m going to not come up positive for tobacco even though I don’t smoke because of everyone around me constantly smoking.
Most important question here. How the fuck do you wipe your ass? Please tell me I won’t have to have someone else wipe my ass for me at any point in this process-

2024.05.14 07:29 kopykat24 My Plainfield Tornado experience

I was 6 when the Plainfield tornado hit my neighborhood. We were the first subdivision hit when it entered Plainfield. It was weird bc half the subdivision was gone and the other half was still standing. It also hit a pig farm at the end of the street and there were dead pigs everywhere. The ones who weren’t dead made awful noises and people went around performing mercy killings.
Right before it hit I was outside with a friend. We just happened to decide to go inside our perspective houses before it hit 10 mins later. I remember thinking the clouds looked weird and now I realize they were mammatus clouds. I went inside to turn on the tv, Ghost Busters were on at 3. The tv wouldn’t turn on but the power was still on. My mom was on the phone, my dad was sleeping and my brother was getting ready to go deliver his papers for his route.
It got really dark outside and the wind and rain picked up, throwing things off our deck. My dad came tearing out of his room, yelling we needed to get downstairs and into the bathroom. My mom decided to continue her phone conversation downstairs until about the tornado hit saying “girl, I gotta go, there’s a tornado”. My family and I hid in the bathroom, all of them piled up on me. At one point I could feel the wind pulling all of us out of the bathroom, my dad holding onto the toilet seat while being pulled in the air. I don’t remember it sounding like a freight train, it was just very loud and our house was being torn apart. After it hit we went to our neighbor’s whose house was still standing. We had to peel the garage door up to escape, the top half of the house and all the stairs were gone. Our neighbor’s son happened to have one of the first cell phones and my parents were able to make a few calls to our relatives a few towns over.
I remember seeing the tornado, it was massive, black and looked like it had mini tornadoes swirling around it.
My dad had left to go help with the neighbors. A woman behind us was watching her grandson and she couldn’t get to him bc the stairs were gone. The grandson happened to be on a bed and a wall collapsed on him. Because he was on the bed, it was able to indent enough, he didn’t get crushed. Fiberglass was in his throat and my dad was able to get it out to help him breathe again. Then, the farmer down the street had his tractor roll onto him. My dad and some neighbors helped pull it off of him. He didn’t make it in time to get to his storm shelter. We had no warnings.
Around the neighborhood trees were stripped, cars in and on trees. Glass and fiberglass everywhere. All of our belongings were gone. We couldn’t even save clothing bc fiberglass was just embedded in everything. They found my dad’s savings bonds miles away. Our cats got blown away too, still lived, but were miles from home.
We had to evacuate to the end of the street bc of gas leaks.
My brother and I were supposed to start school the next day. Him at the high school and me at the Catholic school that was destroyed.
My aunts and uncles spent over 3 hours traveling to us from towns 45 mins away. We stayed with them a week before being set in a temporary home. Our house was one of the first to be rebuilt. It was eerie going to the neighborhood after it hit. I went w my dad often. The National Guard was there and also my neighbor, old man, was sitting outside w a shotgun to make sure there were no looters.
I wanted to be a storm chaser for a while, but well I’m not great at math so killed that dream. Also, I still have a fear response regarding bad weather. Watching the patterns change has been fascinating and scary.

I am trying to save headache, time, andmoney besides dissappointment to would be victims of a chinese/russian scamco: these 2 busy with fcking up each other in the company they started and that they run on the buyers expense: Do not buy a boox. I have a boox max2 pro. All my gadgets combined never had that much issues than this one. Costumer service is annoying. More busy to ask the serial 4 times than sending a return label. You have to send your reader somewhere. They make up reasons to avoid the not exist warranty. The device is frail, if it doesn't boot they ask screenshots, if it refuses to login they blame on other issues, even their blog is still under development. Even if you bought it on Amazon they make up stories that wasn't an official. Positive: large readable screen. Negative: crazy price if you take in count you have an unreliable device with 2 way shipping fees. And unknowledgeable costumer service team which corresponds for 3 weeks asking your name, phone number times, and you're out of money, reader, and charged with a hefty repair bill after paying almost a thousand a year before. Save your money and get a kindle that is not loosing your whole library... fck them, for fcking us up. Hardtime. The hole company is a revenge of Russia.

It is 6:26 in the evening. Around this time I like to pull out my journal, walk to the porthole window on my side, sit down, and write as the sun begins to set on Lisbon. My journal is an Ukiyo Grid fifty sheeter with a nurse coat white cover and black Japanese kanji that spells out うきよグリッド (Ukiyo Grid). A wrapped bundle of four journals with technical pens were awaiting me on a walnut ash solid wood desk when I arrived at this apartment three weeks ago. Look in them and you will find entries for everyday since the beginning. This new life is so interesting to me and I find it pointless to keep thoughts bottled up inside and since I have no one to talk to, writing helps the time go by. Some days I will write for hours.
On Tuesday mornings, I attend "Participant Tapestry" from nine to ten, followed by a "Synaptic Bloom" session until half past eleven. Thursdays are dedicated to "Empathy Assimilation" cycles. From eleven to noon my task is to log learned data from my sessions into the GLiPH pad (Global Interface for Personal Handwriting).
My primary function is to serve as a healing conduit to four individuals experiencing ongoing building trauma from the 2033 earthquake that woke up the entire city while simultaneously putting seven thousand, one hundred forty-two to indefinite rest. Each of the four individuals will stay in the respective living quarters on the other side of me, for one month at a time. The first arrives in two weeks, one year to the day of the tragedy.Though, had it not been for you, I would have sat here for another two weeks waiting, alone and isolated.
I’m not sure I would classify my actions as spying because I had innocently been staring out of the window, as I always do, like any of you do, when a flutter from your direction suddenly snagged my gaze.
Peering through my porthole window, I marveled at loose papers doing backflips and pirouetting in the air before gently falling to the ground. A swaying fixture of light bulbs swayed back and forth on their cords creating dramatic shadows on the tall walls of your kitchen. One bulb had been shattered and appeared sharp like a shark's rack of teeth.
In the midst of the chaotic scene, you emerged into view through the window. You had on a mangled and loose white t-shirt that looked as though you had been in a fight. The other man with you had on a black denim jacket. For all intents and purposes, his name shall be “Jacket”.
At my computation you both stood at about the same height, however, mass wise, you two are different. Jacket’s arms were bulging even through the denim. You stood in front of each other shouting into the other’s face, both wide-armed in an attempt to make yourselves big and authoritative.
I want to know what he said that caused you to become small. Your lips came together as Jacket’s lips raged on. Your shoulders slouched forward while your neck and head dropped. Your defeated posture tells stories of past and impending loss. I want to give you a long hug. Your jet black hair was tied up and your beard was shiny and tear-sloppy.
Eventually, Jacket stopped shouting and stood in position, quiet and staring up at the swinging pendulum.
A moment later, Jacket lifted his hands upward and cradled either side of your scruffy face. As he did this he began mouthing words. I am advanced but lip reading is one thing I am not capable of.
You hastily wiped Jacket’s hands off of your face as if you had had enough. You turned away from Jacket and sat down at the table. Is this where you both had shared your meals together? You lowered your head onto the top of your hands and stared longingly out of the window.
Jacket disappeared into the expansive abyss and a second later lights illuminated under a dome stretch of skylight glass.
Shuddering breaths escaped your lips, your cheeks quivering with each sharp inhale. At one moment, you got up and began picking up and pushing in chairs with seemingly trembling hands. You began a series of anxious tasks such as stacking plates and arranging objects most-likely to ease the pain that was burning inside of you. This front row seat to the raw emotions unleashed during this conflict made for a captivating study. Your behavior is particularly intriguing, leaving me yearning to understand the story behind the pain.
With a duffle bag and a backpack in tow, Jacket came back into the dimly lit kitchen. As he struck his arm down firmly, his mouth began to run, as if he was trying to quickly make a point. With the message received yet not accepted, you paused for a moment, proceeded to pick up a small potted plant sitting on the table and chucked it with force towards the open space on the ground in between the both of you. Humiliated, hysterical and sobbing, you sat back down at the table. Jacket took one final look at you, shook his head and walked out of the room with his bags, leaving you alone to pick up the pieces and the mess strewn all over the apartment.
A second later all of the windows in your place went from illuminated to black. And just like that, the chaos had come to an end.
I simply cannot accept this ending. There has got to be more. I am helplessly glued to this apartment in the same way you are glued to yours and the memories inside of it. My desire to reach out is genuine. You need solace in this time of pain. I want to learn you and help you navigate these troubled waters. After all, empathy is born from understanding, and I genuinely wish to see you heal. The sight of you wiping away tears ignites a desire to offer comfort.Let this twenty-first day of my new life mark the first day I discovered you. I will employ this companion drone to bridge the gap between us. For now, a silent observer I will be with a presence as light and maneuverable as a hummingbird.

Hi everyone! I found out something that I'm not supposed to know and I'm so happy and giddy I'm bubbling over and have to share it somewhere. Recently my partner (28m) and I (28f) went engagement ring shopping and picked out my ring after being together about 3.5 years. I am absolutely obsessed with the ring, and I could not love him more. During dinners in order to get off our phones, we usually play a board game together on his iPad and one night near the end of March, it was my turn while he was eating and a confirmation email came through from the jewelers "thank you for your purchase!" Fast forward 6 weeks, and he leaves work but cryptically says he has to "run a quick errand" and turns his location off, gone exactly long enough to make the trip to the jewelers and back home.
I don't know when specifically its coming but my birthday is at the end of this month and I know its coming soon. Im so ecstatic and even though I know there will plenty of stress during the wedding planning process, I literally can't take the smile off my face. I am trying my hardest not to ruin the surprise for either of us, I'm just so happy its finally here.
So, what do you wish someone had told you during this exciting pre-/early engagement time? What are your best tips and advice for someone in my position?

I know we should not anthropomorphize geckos so I guess this is a question on taming my gecko. So I have only had this little guy for a little bit over a week. I know we should leave the gecko to be for the first couple of weeks, and I have not tried handle it aside for once that I had to change things around his enclosure and it turn into a high speed chase around my room. So I am worried I am not creating positive experiences with my gecko. How can I change that? Every time my gecko sees me getting to close it runs to the back of his enclosure. Can you guys share your tips and experience on bonding with your geckos? How can I create positive experiences on our little interactions?
