Hey guys, I’ve got kind of a weird one. I have a palomino truck camper with manual jacks and a pretty tall lifted truck. Now without lecturing me about getting a lower truck and everything does anyone have any experience building a stem wall or something elevated to back into and rest the camper on? Something I could use as sort of a make shift loading dock? I want to build something on the side of my house roughly 30 inches tall but will give my camper a good platform to rest on, that way I only have to raise it a few inches before loading it onto the truck. Attached is an image of my setup, anyone have anything or any ideas of a setup where I can keep my camper at near full height for most of the summer months before putting it away for winter? submitted by BusinessTie7779 to TruckCampers [link] [comments] |

Mythic cars make winning solos impossible without them. A few select players who get them WILL reach the top 5 and WILL get 5 or more kills via camping on a hill and firing their infinite ammunition at other players and/or ramming them for 150 damage. The first make build fighting impossible. You simply cannot build fight any more. If someone gets height on you, just uppercut! Not only will it bring you up and them down but It will damage them a LOT! also when using the fists you can also randomly die to fall damage afterwards which is what happened in the last of these three second place finished pictured. All in all, the game has changed too much. Building is useless, sit in a car and fire bombs and bullets. If you build you'll get uppercut and punched down onto by your opponent and then thirded by a car camper. Please could the game return to somewhat of a familiar state where building is actually useful. Zero builds has completely taken over epic games thought processes and no steps are being taken to make builds actually playable. Also, during the performance review cup today, myself and many friends had a blast playing good old build fortnite, yes there were still fists but no cars in a competitive mode!!! How sensible does that sound!? Please remove the cars from ranked so we can all be happy. That way the car lovers can use em and the car haters can not. submitted by snipertrifler to FortNiteBR [link] [comments] |

The straight angle it provides while fitting the 12mm x 1.5 metric x 1/2in. Barb makes this adapter stand out from its competitors. The use of 6061 Aluminum Alloy not only adds to its durability but also reduces its weight. At an affordable cost, this adapter offers great value. One issue I faced was the compatibility of the adapter with my 16 gauge shotgun, but once I figured it out - this adapter works like a charm. Its smooth operation and sturdy build have made it a must-have for my hunting trips. Overall, kudos to the Vibrant Performance team for creating such an effective and reliable adapter. 🔗Anodized Black Stainless Steel AN to Metric Flare Adapterhttps://preview.redd.it/ibsuxfr4x33d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4eafe22e833de23036d3092123fb7596d1a8097d I recently added this Vibrant 16786 - M16 x 1.5 Female to -6AN Male Flare Adapter to my toolbox, and let me tell you, it's been a game-changer in my daily life. Its black anodized finish not only gives it a sleek look but also guarantees durability for long-term use. One standout feature is how effortlessly it connects with various manufacturers' hose end fittings. It's a true lifesaver when I need to make a quick connection for my 16 gauge shotgun adapters. However, I did notice that it could have used a Viton gasket for a tighter fit. Overall, the Vibrant adapter has been a reliable companion in my daily tasks, and I highly recommend it for anyone searching for a secure and versatile connection in their projects. 🔗Advanced 16 Gauge Shotgun Adapter: Earl's Performance Plumbinghttps://preview.redd.it/bdyywnx4x33d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=55e160c0e1559a95539099e3483d7bea65bf56f6 When I decided to give Earl's 9919DFJERL-6 An to 16mm-1.5 Adapter a try, I wasn't entirely sure what to expect. But as someone who needed a reliable adapter for my plumbing situation, I was pleasantly surprised by this product. I found the blue anodized aluminum finish to be a nice touch, giving the adapter a sleek and professional look. It felt strong and well-built, which gave me confidence that it could handle the job. The one thing that stood out to me was the fact that it's made in the USA. I think it's great to support local industries and know that the product I'm using is made with care and attention to detail. However, one con I encountered was that it wasn't quite as versatile as I thought it would be. While it worked for my specific plumbing needs, I know that there are many other custom applications out there that it might not be compatible with. In conclusion, the Earls 9919DFJERL-6 An to 16mm-1.5 Adapter is a solid choice for those looking for a reliable adapter for their plumbing needs. While it might not be perfect for every situation, it certainly lives up to Earl's Performance Products' reputation for quality and performance. 🔗16 Gauge Shotgun Adapter for No.6 Male Connectionshttps://preview.redd.it/wosc53a5x33d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5b24b4a20638acbc7859e6506adfb0a8e9d3f8f3 I've personally tested the Motor State Distributing 16 Gauge Shotgun Adapter, and I have to say, it has been a game-changer! This durable little piece has seamlessly integrated into my shotgun, creating a perfect fit with no wobbling. Its high-quality construction means that it hasn't rusted or worn out despite regular use, which is a major plus. The adapter's dimensions of 4.05 inches by 4.95 inches by 1.6 inches make it a perfect fit for my particular shotgun model. Its weight of 0.07 lb(s) makes it light without compromising its sturdiness. And the variety of styles available ensures that it caters to every type of accessory, a feature I truly appreciate. However, there is always room for improvement. I found that the adapter could have a tad more threading depth for a stronger grip. But overall, it's an excellent addition to my shotgun, and I highly recommend it. 🔗Lightweight 16 Gauge AN16 Straight Adapter for 1 Inch Pipehttps://preview.redd.it/uhu28ol5x33d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=88c8778baec0248b48e3e19919c4d7d101b97565 Last weekend, I had the chance to work on a gas-powered vehicle. I needed an adapter to connect the 1-inch pipe to a straight -16 AN fitting, so I ended up using this Blue Straight AN16 Flare Adapter. I was impressed by how easy it was to install - the aluminum fitting was lightweight and the sealing angle ensured a positive seal at maximum operating pressures. The custom blue anodized finish added a nice touch to the product. Overall, I had a good experience using this adaptor and would definitely recommend it to anyone in need of a reliable connection solution. However, it's important to note that this blue finish may not be suitable for all applications as it's specific for custom designs but the product worked great for my needs. 🔗Shotgun Thread Adapter for 5/16x27 and 8-32 Connectionshttps://preview.redd.it/8aqoidy5x33d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c98e9ccedcfa0c0c3f47763b4e6bbeb13cbe2347 I recently came across the Shooter's Choice Shotgun Thread Adapter 5/16-27 Thread SHF-A-832-527, and I must say it has become an essential part of my shotgun cleaning routine. Being unable to adapt to shotgun brush threads that lack the standard 8-32 threads, this adapter has proved to be a lifesaver. One end of the adapter features the 8-32 threads, allowing it to be easily screwed onto Shooter's Choice cleaning rods. On the other end, it boasts 5/16-27 threads, which have enabled me to utilize my existing shotgun brushes without having to purchase new ones. The adapter's depth thickness of 0.38 inches ensures a snug and secure fit every time. Upon using the product, the ease of installation and versatility of the Shooter's Choice shotgun thread adapter has made the experience incredibly smooth and hassle-free. Although the product is not a standalone shotgun brush, the seamless integration with existing shotgun brushes has proven to be a positive aspect. However, I hope to see a future version of this product available in different sizes to better cater to a wider range of shotgun users. 🔗Dependable Adapter for Seamless 16 Gauge Shotgun Connectionhttps://preview.redd.it/9imib6c6x33d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cf84b1a146193925392dc19d1b1c901e533f8fea I recently had a chance to test out the DeatschWerks 8AN Male Flare adapter, and I must say, it was a game-changer. This nifty piece of kit effortlessly allowed me to switch from a 8AN male flare to a 1.5 metric fitting. Say goodbye to leaks and hello to a sturdy, secure connection. The anodized matte black finish is both sleek and resilient - perfect for frequent use. Plus, the included washer ensured a seamless installation process. It's no surprise that this DeatschWerks adapter has earned a stellar 5-star rating. Highly recommend! . 🔗Nissan RB20DET Fuel Rail with 8AN ORB Ports and Fittingshttps://preview.redd.it/anzcpwn6x33d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0ee390c9fc004c544e358091c41c7119aa438b48 I've been using the Radium Engineering 20-0757 Fuel Rail for my Nissan RB20DET engine, and I must say I'm quite impressed with its performance. The Black Anodized Aluminum Fuel Rail feels sturdy and well-built, and the Stainless Steel Mounting Bolts are a nice addition, providing a secure hold in place. The fuel rail's ample space around the fuel rail port is perfect for accommodating larger accessories like fuel pressure regulators and gauges. One thing to note is that this fuel rail doesn't come standard with fittings, so you'll need to select the appropriate ones based on your specific application. The rail's large internal bore of 0.69" ensures it can support all necessary engine power requirements, and the CNC machining process gives it a high-quality surface finish. Using this fuel rail with aftermarket injectors that have the same fitment as the OEM injectors is a breeze. The upper injector bores are machined with a common 11mm ID, compatible with Denso's injectors. The FKM O-rings for OEM Injectors are a welcomed inclusion for those reusing their old ones, but if you go for new injectors, you won't need them. Overall, the Radium Engineering 20-0757 Fuel Rail is a solid choice for any Nissan RB20DET engine enthusiast looking to enhance performance. However, remember that it does not come standard with fittings, so you'll need to sort those out separately. 🔗High-Quality 16 Gauge Adapter for Seamless Connectionhttps://preview.redd.it/u27u9f17x33d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0fa2bd8c1d444d9b4c32c76a1f1bf917740e6d90 As a frequent camper, I've always struggled with finding the right tools to connect my portable outdoor stove. That's where the Pertrechos 16AN to 16AN NPT Straight Male Adapter comes in. This little guy has been a game-changer for me. Firstly, the quality of the adapter is top-notch. It has a sleek, blue finish that not only enhances the aesthetics of my stove, but also serves as a functional bonus. The adapter is compatible with a variety of hoses and fittings, making it perfect for both indoor and outdoor use. However, I have encountered a small inconvenience - the adapter can be a bit challenging to tighten and loosen due to its snug fit. But once it's set in place, it stays securely. Overall, it's a reliable and durable addition to any camping or outdoor cooking setup. 🔗High-Quality 16 Gauge Shotgun Adapter for RF Connectorshttps://preview.redd.it/oxk0ccd7x33d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e1f7f0e7609b3e9dc1496ca55df8f9831fa80faa The RF Industries 7/16 DIN-M to 7/16 DIN-M Adapter SS (P2RFD-1650-SS) is a reliable option for anyone looking for a 16 Gauge Shotgun adapter. Its stainless steel coupling nut adds durability, while the low PIM straight barrel design ensures a strong connection. In my experience, using this adapter was seamless, and it did exactly what it was intended to do – simplify my shotgun setup. However, there were times when it felt a bit heavy to handle, which may be a small con for those who value a lighter grip. Overall, the RF Industries adapter is a solid choice for anyone seeking a quality shotgun adapter that gets the job done. 🔗DeatschWerks 6AN Male Flare to M16 X 1.5 Male Metric Adapter for Smooth Connectionhttps://preview.redd.it/8i4mblr7x33d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7de6c8a6095c5ae18dfb0112e20f4d1c5c36364e I recently had the chance to use the DeatschWerks 6AN Male Flare to M16 X 1.5 Male Metric Adapter in my daily life, and I must say, it's a fantastic addition to my setup. The anodized matte black finish not only makes it look sleek and stylish, but it also adds a touch of professionalism to my system. One of the standout features of this adapter is its easy connection between the 6AN male flare fittings and the M16 X 1.5 male metric fittings. It provides a secure and reliable connection that I can trust, and the included washer ensures a tight seal, eliminating the risk of leaks. Overall, I'm quite pleased with this product and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a durable and reliable adapter to upgrade their system with effortless compatibility. 🔗Vibrant 10846 Anodized Black Expander Adapter for Oil and Fuel Pumpshttps://preview.redd.it/aqsnxj28x33d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0bdf1344eb3bc6f6371ad7995b8ac24a99ddc061 Last week, I was tasked with repairing my old shotgun's oil pump, which had become incredibly finicky and prone to leaking. After some research, I stumbled upon the Vibrant 10846 - 16AN Female to -20AN Male Expander Adapter Fitting. It boasts a 6061 Aluminum Alloy construction, anodized black finish, and an impressive -16AN to -20AN diameter range. Upon receiving the adapter, I was immediately struck by its sleek, professional appearance. The product's simplicity and lightweight design made it a breeze to install on my oil pump. With a quick turn of a wrench, I was able to fix my leaky issue and enjoy smooth, worry-free shooting once again. However, I noticed that despite the manufacturer's claim of availability in anodized black only, some of the images used for marketing seemed to show the product in a different color. This discrepancy left me questioning the product's true color, but thankfully, it did not affect the adapter's performance. Overall, the Vibrant 10846 - 16AN Female to -20AN Male Expander Adapter Fitting exceeded my expectations with its efficient design and easy installation. While the color discrepancy in marketing images is a minor concern, it does not detract from the adapter's superior quality and performance. 🔗Durable DeatschWerks Fuel System Adapterhttps://preview.redd.it/ew6o3di8x33d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bbc3b5cc54c4cb62d0f41b1560d750d5cc56b406 I recently gave the DeatschWerks 6-02-0615 a try in my daily life and I must say, it's been a game changer. Its sleek design and strong construction have impressed me time and time again. The straight fitting angle and T6061 aluminum build give it durability and the ability to adapt to various fuel system needs. The DeatschWerks brand has always been reliable, and this fitting is no exception. While it's a bit on the pricier side, the peace of mind that comes with using a high-quality fitting is well worth it. 🔗Universal 16 Gauge Shotgun Fitting & Welding Adaptorhttps://preview.redd.it/mwt0z6v8x33d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5c6d792581733d5d734588fbdf6394c46bd387bd I recently came across the Western Enterprises 312-1690 Fitting & Welding Adaptor, and I must say, it's been a game-changer in my everyday life. It easily fits a wide range of shotguns, making it a fantastic tool for those of us who don't want to carry multiple adapters for different guns. This feature has made my life a lot easier and more efficient, as I'm no longer weighed down by multiple tools. Additionally, the durability of the adaptor is impressive. I've used it multiple times for welding and fitting tasks, and it has held up exceptionally well. Despite being exposed to high temperatures and heavy usage, it hasn't shown any signs of wear and tear. It's reassuring to know that my investment is robust and long-lasting. The simplicity of the design is another major advantage. It's incredibly user-friendly, and I appreciate how straightforward it is to attach and remove the adaptor from my shotgun. This intuitive design has saved me time and effort, which is always a bonus in my book. That said, there is one area where the adaptor could use improvement. While it's a great tool for 16 gauge shotguns, I've noticed that it can be a bit tricky to fit it onto larger gauge shotguns. This minor inconvenience hasn't stopped me from using it, but it's something I hope the company will consider addressing in future iterations. In conclusion, the Western Enterprises 312-1690 Fitting & Welding Adaptor has proven to be a reliable and convenient addition to my toolkit. Its versatility and durability make it a valuable investment for anyone who needs an adaptor for their 16 gauge shotgun. Reviews🔗Commemorative 75th Anniversary 119 Special Knifehttps://preview.redd.it/ptan40pci33d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=79aa8d9083f09c65c5706ca7cccf34008de2952b As a hunter, I've been using the Buck Knives Special for a few years now, and I must say, it's a real workhorse in my collection. It has a robust, stainless steel blade with a satin finish that's just as sharp as the day I got it. The phenolic handle with an aluminum insert provides a secure grip, even when my hands are wet or bloody. What I truly appreciate about this knife is how it holds its edge over time, making my life significantly easier during hunts. The one small issue I have with the Buck Knives Special is that the handle can be a little slippery, especially when it's wet. However, this is not a deal-breaker by any means, as the knife still performs exceptionally well in the field. Overall, I'd highly recommend the Buck Knives Special to anyone in need of a reliable, all-around hunting knife. Its durability and sharpness are second to none, and the fact that it's made in the USA makes it even more appealing. Whether you're a seasoned hunter or just starting out, this knife will serve you well for years to come. 🔗Tom Brown Tracker T-2 Fixed Blade Knife: 9.5" Overall Length, 5" Blade, 1095 Carbon Steel, Micarta Handlehttps://preview.redd.it/snyjyk2di33d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0f4ffba2e4bbc156bd16646ce17b6085a1afb0e0 I've been an avid outdoorsman for years, and I've used quite a few knives during my adventures. However, when I came across the Tom Brown Tracker #2, I knew I found the perfect companion for my trips. This little knife packs a punch, offering the same versatility as its bigger brother, the Tom Brown Tracker #1, but in a smaller, more manageable size. The first thing that grabbed my attention was the unique design, which, as some users already pointed out, was initially met with reservations. But after spending some time with this knife, I can say that it has exceeded all my expectations. It's not only comfortable to hold but also surprisingly effective at handling a variety of tasks, from shaving tinder to cutting through branches. The handle, made from black linen micarta, provides excellent grip even when things get sweaty, while the blade - a 1095 carbon steel masterpiece with a black traction coating - retains its sharpness with ease. And speaking of blades, the one on the Tom Brown Tracker #2 is just the right size at 5 inches, not too long or too short, making it perfect for both indoor and outdoor use. One might think that such a well-built knife would weigh a ton, but that's not the case here. At 9.6 ounces, this fixed blade is light enough to carry around without causing discomfort, yet sturdy enough to tackle even the toughest challenges. It also comes with a multi-position spring steel sheath, adding another layer of convenience to an already amazing product. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my purchase. The Tom Brown Tracker #2 has become my go-to knife for all situations, whether I'm out camping or just need a reliable tool for everyday tasks. And if you're looking for a high-quality, versatile knife that won't let you down, I highly recommend giving this little powerhouse a try. 🔗Tactical Fixed Blade Knife with Coyote Tan Bladehttps://preview.redd.it/2wymdskdi33d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=be174d92260493ea0d4e81eaa318a97813ef6fd7 As an avid outdoorsman and a former military officer, I've been searching for the perfect tactical knife that combines performance and durability. TOPS Knives' Missile Strike Tactical Fixed Blade Knife in Coyote Tan Blade MISS-01 has exceeded my expectations. Its sleek design, sharp edge, and reliable construction make it the perfect companion for camping trips or tough combat situations. The Missile Strike's narrow blade with a long swedge allows for precise stabs, while its 1/4" thickness adds weight and power for slashing and smashing. The finger guard ensures my hand stays safely away from the blade, and the comfortable Micarta handle scales ensure a secure grip. The choil feature allows me to choke up on the knife for more intricate tasks. Made from 1095 steel, this knife is easy to sharpen in the field, a must for those who don't always carry a proper sharpening system. The tan Kydex sheath provides excellent retention and a firm grip when drawing the knife. Overall, the TOPS Knives Missile Strike Tactical Fixed Blade Knife is a reliable and versatile tool that I would recommend to anyone looking for a high-quality tactical knife. 🔗Discreet Fixed Blade Knife for Concealed Carryhttps://preview.redd.it/ku3148xdi33d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=643a4a03d9646f97283ef3d695b32dd8fd1c04e5 I recently found myself in need of a reliable and compact knife that I could carry around without it being noticeable. That's when I came across the SOG Instinct Fixed Blade. This little gem has become my go-to choice for when I need a reliable tool that I can trust. The first thing that grabbed my attention was its sleek design. The stainless steel and G10 construction not only looks great, but it also feels sturdy in my hand. The 5Cr15MoV steel construction ensures that the blade is sharp and holds its edge well, even after prolonged use. One of the highlights of the SOG Instinct Fixed Blade is its portability. It comes with a multi-angle adjustable clip that securely attaches to my belt or boot, allowing me to carry it discreetly and without hassle. The lanyard hole also adds an extra layer of convenience, making it easy for me to access the knife when I need it. However, there are a few drawbacks to this otherwise excellent knife. The most significant issue I've encountered is the durability of the sheath. Some users have reported that the clip attachment can break after a year or two of use, which can be quite frustrating. Additionally, the edge retention could be better, as some users have experienced the blade rolling over after cutting through heavy-duty materials. Overall, I've been quite satisfied with the performance and design of the SOG Instinct Fixed Blade. Its compact size, durable material, and sharp edge make it an excellent choice for anyone in need of a reliable and discreet knife. Despite its few shortcomings, I would still recommend this knife to anyone looking for a compact and effective tool that can be carried around with ease. 🔗Pentagon FX: Fully Customizable Fixed Blade Warrior Knifehttps://preview.redd.it/6qzl39eei33d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7144477673a8367613c39411b4ef59f26f78deb7 As an avid survivalist, I recently got the opportunity to test out the SOG Pentagon FX Blackout. From the moment I unboxed it, I could tell this was a high-quality piece of kit. The first thing that stood out to me was the full-tang CYRO S35VN steel blade. It's sharp, sturdy, and ready to tackle whatever task you throw at it. The removable G10 handles are another highlight. They provide a comfortable grip, even in wet conditions, and they can be swapped out for different mission profiles. This level of customization is a game-changer, especially when you're in the field. However, there were a few minor drawbacks that were worth mentioning. The sheath system, while adaptable, isn't perfect. The adjustable retention can be a bit fiddly and the belt clips could be more secure. But these are minor quibbles in an otherwise excellent product. Overall, I highly recommend the SOG Pentagon FX Blackout. It's reliable, customizable, and built to last. Whether you're an avid outdoorsman or a city-slicker looking for a reliable piece of EDC gear, this knife won't disappoint. 🔗The Hell Gap S35VN Fixed Blade Knife - Black Micartahttps://preview.redd.it/3njefkoei33d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7defc4ebd5731d7092b667078f348f2ff8a34010 Introducing the Hell Gap, a ruggedly sleek knife from The James Brand. Named after the Hell Gap arrowhead, this fixed blade knife is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts and home chefs alike. Made with S35VN steel and a canvas Micarta handle, it's designed to handle any task, from delicate dicing to sturdy chopping. The Hell Gap is compact and lightweight, making it easy to carry and store, ensuring that you always have a reliable tool at your disposal. This beautiful and functional knife exceeded my expectations. The Hell Gap's sleek design and high-quality materials make it an attractive addition to any collection. Its compact size and versatile sheath make it easy to carry with me wherever I go, and its sharp edge has yet to let me down. However, the price point may be a bit high for some consumers, and the sheath could be improved to make it more user-friendly. However, overall, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase and would recommend this knife to anyone looking for a reliable and stylish fixed blade knife. I must admit that I was skeptical about the Hell Gap's size at first. Though it's smaller than a traditional chef's knife, it has proven to be incredibly effective for a wide range of tasks, from dicing vegetables to slicing meat. The rounded spine also provides a comfortable grip, making it easy to handle for extended periods. The only area where the Hell Gap could improve would be through the inclusion of a more secure sheath, as the current design is a bit too loose for my liking. As a newcomer to the world of fixed blade knives, I was pleasantly surprised by the Hell Gap. Its elegant design and high-quality materials make it a pleasure to handle and use in both indoor and outdoor settings. However, it's worth noting that it may not be the best choice for those with larger hands, as the handle can feel a bit small. Nevertheless, the Hell Gap's impressive performance and versatility make it a worthwhile addition to any knife collection. In summary, the Hell Gap is a stylish and highly functional fixed blade knife that is perfect for home cooks and outdoor enthusiasts alike. Its high-quality materials and sleek design make it a pleasure to handle and use, while its compact size and versatile sheath ensure that it is easily portable. Though the price point is a bit high for some consumers and the sheath could be improved, overall, the Hell Gap is a reliable and attractive addition to any knife collection. 🔗KA-BAR USMC Fighting Utility Knife (Brown) with Oval Handle and Fixed Bladehttps://preview.redd.it/7w1hpc3fi33d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c54676c7278cbea34601bc0957aff23a8ef835de I've been using the KA-BAR USMC Fighting Utility Knife for a while now, and I must say it's been an absolute game-changer in my daily routine. The compacted leather disk handles give it a comfortable grip, while the black epoxy powder-coated steel provides just the right amount of sharpness. The carbon steel guard and butt cap add an extra layer of protection, making it perfect for both indoor and outdoor tasks. The real highlight for me, though, has been the cowhide sheath. It fits like a glove and ensures that my utility knife is always within easy reach when I need it. However, one downside I've noticed is that the knife can be a bit difficult to clean due to its intricate design, but this hasn't been a deal-breaker for me. Overall, I'm thrilled with the KA-BAR USMC Fighting Utility Knife and can't imagine going back to using any other tool for my various needs. 🔗Black TAK 1 Fixed Blade Knife for Durability and Functionalityhttps://preview.redd.it/551xhblfi33d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=89e6c7fa248e8bcacafbecb40639f989d24dcf1f I recently got my hands on the TAK 1 knife by Ontario Knife Company, and I must say, it's been an absolute game-changer. As a camping enthusiast, I was on the lookout for a reliable, strong, and long-lasting knife. When I came across this piece of art, I knew I'd hit the jackpot! The best thing about this knife is its durability. The 1095 carbon steel construction gives it an unmatched sturdiness. And the canvas-textured micarta handles, another marvel of the design, make it comfortable and easy to grip even in wet conditions. What I found particularly impressive was the thought that went into the full tang blades. They're hardened to a whopping 55-56 HRC, meaning they're not just strong, but also sharp and effective. The black coated non-reflective blade is an added bonus, perfect for stealthy hunting trips or even for professionals who need a discrete tool. The nylon sheath is also quite noteworthy. It's robust and provides excellent protection for the blade while also making it easy to carry around. Plus, there's a lanyard hole in the handle which I found really useful. It allowed me to attach the knife to my belt or bag securely. However, one minor concern I have is its weight. At 10 ounces, it's on the heavier side. But considering its robustness and the fact that it's a fixed-blade knife, I can accept this trade-off. All in all, I'm extremely pleased with the TAK 1 from Ontario Knife Company. It's a reliable, strong, and durable tool that has made a significant difference in my outdoor excursions. If you're in the market for a reliable concealed carry fixed-blade knife, I highly recommend giving this one a shot. 🔗Recondo FX FDE Straight Edge Unisexhttps://preview.redd.it/70g2n8ufi33d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cac7ac70af4bdbb5de5c460474b0d1f87bb4f8f2 I must say, the SOG Recondo FX FDE is quite a game-changer in the world of fixed-blade duty knives. As a reviewer who's been using this guy in various settings, I've grown quite attached to its performance and quality. The 9.6" overall length combined with its 4.6" fixed blade design offers a great balance between power and precision, making it perfect for both indoor and outdoor use. One thing that I absolutely love about this guy is his FDE Rubber Handle. It provides an excellent grip no matter the weather condition, and it's comfortable too, even after prolonged usage. The full-tang CRYO 440C stainless steel blade is another winner feature here. It keeps its edge surprisingly well while offering superb corrosion and wear resistance. And you know what's really impressive? The included UMS clip and Kydex sheath. They're both ambidextrous, allowing me to strap it on wherever I want without any hindrance to my movement. Plus, I like how easy it is to adjust tension using the tool-less adjustment system - it ensures a smooth and reliable draw every time. However, if there's anything that could be improved, it would be the weight. While I understand that the full-tang design contributes to its sturdiness, it can feel a bit heavy for some tasks. But hey, if you're looking for a reliable workhorse that gets the job done, the SOG Recondo FX FDE doesn't disappoint. In all, this is an exceptional tool that has served me well in various situations, be it camping trips or home improvement projects. It's versatile, comfortable, and built to last - definitely a worthwhile addition to your EDC kit. 🔗4-inch TRUE Fixed Blade Knife for Tactical usehttps://preview.redd.it/gfznm5bgi33d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0296f644cc8cb2d57d776fe6303b577c45d9ece7 I've been using the True Fixed Blade Knife with its 4" drop point blade for quite some time now, and I must say it's been a game-changer for me. Every experienced outdoorsman or EDC enthusiast knows how crucial it is to have a reliable tool that's built to last. This fixed blade knife suits my needs perfectly. Firstly, the TPR handle design is incredibly comfortable, no matter how I hold it. The molded sheath provides ample options for carrying, making it easy to access whether I'm using scout, drop leg, or MOLLE mounts. Its multi-functionality is another major highlight - this knife fits seamlessly into my pocket and lifestyle. As someone who often found myself frustrated with the maintenance and cleaning needs of folding knives, I'm thrilled with the full tang, 8Cr13MoV stainless steel blade construction. The straight edge drop point provides excellent reliability and edge retention. Plus, without a hinge or locking mechanism, I feel much more confident using this knife. The MOLLE system compatibility is a huge plus. The sheath holes allow quick integration into MOLLE systems, and the option for scout or drop-leg mounting is also quite convenient. To top it off, the vertical belt loop lets me carry the sheath on either hip, ensuring maximum convenience. However, one minor drawback is that the knife is notably heavier than some other models I've tried. But for me, the added weight is a small price to pay for the robustness and dependable performance this knife offers. So, if you're in the market for a fixed blade knife designed for hard use and longevity, the True Fixed Blade Knife is worth considering. 🔗Cold Steel AK-47 Field Knifehttps://preview.redd.it/wn5ncnogi33d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=77964ad257b17caf52de6246862f120611b5eaf1 I've been using the Cold Steel AK-47 Field Knife for quite some time now, and I must say, it's definitely worth the investment. The first thing that made me fall in love with this knife was its rugged design. It looks like it could take some serious beatings and still come out swinging. One of the standout features for me is the CPM3-V steel used in its construction. It's incredibly durable, which is perfect for those adventurous days where you need a reliable tool to keep up with your explorations. Plus, the stonewashed finish gives it an extra layer of protection against rust and corrosion. However, one downside I've noticed is that the knife can be quite hefty. While this added weight makes it feel more sturdy and robust, it might not be ideal for everyone. Additionally, the size of the blade might be too large for some users' liking. Overall, the Cold Steel AK-47 Field Knife has been a trusty companion during my outdoor escapades. Its robust construction and sharp blade have made it the go-to choice for many of my friends who share my love for the great outdoors. https://preview.redd.it/xda4blj6223d1.jpg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=50be6b4b8a585f6f20e63fa42e152043252dfc14 submitted by ohjimme to TeslaCamping [link] [comments] Hey adventurers and campers! I wanted to share a recent camping trip I took with a few friends to Washington. Before our journey, we only had a general idea of the areas we wanted to visit and then improvised our plan as we went. In this post, I'll share the areas we visited along with the camping coordinates for our 3-day trip. For an overview of our locations, we started in Vancouver, BC, and traveled to Leavenworth, WA -> Wenatchee -> George -> Bandera -> and then back home. https://preview.redd.it/539xtizi223d1.jpg?width=3072&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=157468d6fe228922067b02b6c58d40b356611a56 Our first stop was Leavenworth, a cute town with buildings, food, and culture resembling a traditional German village. This destination was on the list from one of our friends on the trip, and I was fascinated by its similarity to Germany, especially with the beer garden and the currywurst (curry seasoned hot dog, a famous German street food). While we were there, we even got lucky with the timing and witnessed a tapping ceremony for a barrel of beer! München Haus (yum): https://maps.app.goo.gl/f8kFRdkTskVXyUYp6 https://preview.redd.it/zo4tchkk223d1.jpg?width=3072&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=233a0e083a14e25c60bff065ef581a7f51701a3e After enjoying a currywurst and a glass of beer, we headed towards Wenatchee. We stopped by a grocery store to get some ingredients for dinner before making our way to our first wilderness campsite. Getting to the campsite was a bit challenging for my friend's Model Y, as his car is stock and not lifted like mine. We spent about an hour spotting for him, but he ended up needing to reverse back and park on the lower portion of the trail. Our minds were occupied with getting his car on track, so we forgot to take more photos, but here’s the view below. That night, we made pesto pasta for dinner. Higher ground clearance recommended: https://ioverlander.com/places/246912-wenatchee-trailhead https://preview.redd.it/5h1sxjz4323d1.jpg?width=3917&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d8914ab5bd8c22a994914b74d3d52f18e3bad8f3 The next morning, we went on a nice hike along the Sage Hills Trail, which is just located 10 minutes uphill from where we slept. (I didn’t know you could find something like this in Washington. Surprise, surprise.) Along Vantage Road SW, there are a bunch of wilderness campsites to choose from, and they all have extraordinary views. We picked our spot and made veggie burritos for dinner while the sun was setting. Hands down, the best meal of the trip! Probably because of the Tillamook cheese. 2024.05.27 21:16 Stammerama Roaches in chemical laboratory
Hello folks, submitted by Stammerama to GermanRoaches [link] [comments] I hate roaches. I live and run a chemical lab in Turkey. Recently some seeds we kept for laboratory testing went rancid and attracted plenty of roaches (from the sewers it seems like). I never saw any live ones but one, and no nymphs - only dead adults, but plenty of them. Around 8-10 every day. I saw only one live one and noticed something good - it tried and was not able to climb my porcelain walls and could not get away! Since the entire building is laden with porcelain tiles (requirement of local regulations) I pretty much know they cannot get off the floor. Here's what I have done thus far:

Can anyone tell me why there are four goats that live at the abandoned building on Platt? I was told the goats have been here for a decade possibly. There’s a camper on the other side of the building and loads of cameras. I know the camper is new but not the goats. submitted by emma10255 to Cleveland [link] [comments] |
