A few months ago, I embarked on creating a new multiplayer browser game, and the day has come for the alpha version of the game to go live. This is actually my first game, and I hope you'll like the game concept.
The game is primarily focused on the multiplayer aspect. Players can create or join rooms with other people, with each room supporting up to 10 players at the moment.
The game is played in several phases. In the first phase, each player builds and simulates their own map within a specified time period. Before players start building their maps, each game session will randomly generate player positions, the final goal, and predefined obstacles. This way, we make each game interesting and unique, testing players' resourcefulness and creativity on different maps. In later versions, players will be able to choose whether the room generates random obstacles or the map is completely empty, along with configuring many other aspects of the game.
Map building:
After all players finish their maps, the game starts, and each player first plays their own map. If a player fails to complete their map within the specified time and with a certain number of lives, they are automatically eliminated from the current round (this is done to balance the game, preventing players from creating maps that are physically impossible to complete).
All players who complete their maps start receiving maps from other users iteratively until each player plays everyone's map. The winner is the player who completes the most maps with the fewest lives lost.
Besides multiplayer, there's a creative mode where players can design their own maps to share with friends and the community.

I'm not a BA, but would like to become one, and I now have the opportunity to roll out a new process for the team based on an opportunity I identified.
I would like to demonstrate (for purpose of CV) that I have utilised some BA concepts and methodologies to complete this task.
It's a relatively small process, my leadership are more interested in speed, so 3-6 months and this is in addition to my current BAU.
The idea is very much in it's infancy stage and is basically going to be evaluating our current location pricing strategy across the region. We currently only two price grades for each service. Grade A is everything inside London and Grade B is everything outside of London. We have access to huge amounts of internal and market data and the goal is to determine whether we can expand the model to more market grades and identify which locations belong in each grade. The grades and location mapping is loaded into the ERP and when the user selects the location for the particular product/service, it pulls through the price based on the market grade.
Basically, all i know is the above, i don't know the full scope, who is impacted, what is required etc.
I am reaching out to ask where I can get started, what BA tools, resources, courses could be useful here.
Time is definitely a limitation, this project needs to get running quickly and I don't have hours and hours of spare time (due to over capacity at work and home) to study lengthy courses. So i'm really leaning on this community here for some quick pointers and guidance on where to get started or a quick overview of designing/implementing new processes.
My management don't really care about whether I've used BA methodologies. But I want to be able to say on my CV i've completed things like UAT, Requirements Gathering, Documentation, As is To Be, User Stories, etc
One thing my manager did ask for is a business case, so this could be a good start. Are there any templates/resources you would recommend for this?

Hi, I'm starting a hobby project - custom MIDI "keyboard" with per-key volume and pitch control (using joysticks like on gamepads).
So far I managed to connect Raspberry PI Pico to one joystick and emit MIDI messages for note on, note off and pitch bend and connect it to FluidSynth on my computer to play one note and bend the pitch. I have a plan to connect lots of joysticks and how to program it, I'm having problems with choosing the correct MIDI message for changing the volume of a note.
I can emit the aftertouch key pressure message 0xA0, but by default with the soundfonts I found it just makes the vibrato effect strongeweaker depending on the pressure.
I'm pretty new to MIDI protocol, I don't even know where to search for changing the mapping from "key pressure->vibrato strength" to "key pressure->note volume". Is this part of soundfount file? Is this something in the synthesizer settings (i'm using QSynth GUI with Fluidsynth synthesizer running on my computer).
Another idea I had was to use Channel Pressure (0xD0) message or to change the instrument envelope and do Note OFF/Note ON with different velocity, but that will probably sound bad.
What do you think would be the best way to achieve that mapping? Maybe I'm missing some other core MIDI concept that would help?

I have tried to search with no success for a research tool to map complex relationships between variables and concepts. Ideally, there should be interface that allows 1) use of hierarchical categories/levels (aking to rows and columns in excel), 2) adding items to these various categories, and 3) linking items between categories, so that one item can be linked to multiple items in both higher and lower categories and within the same category, and 4) that these relations could be visually represented.
I have so far used excel with just typing text in the cells. However, the interface of excel is limited as it does not allow drawing arrows from one variable in a given row or column with other variables (this would be possible if one is calculating something, but not for representing abstract conceptual relation). It gets messy if the same variable has to be listed many times. On the other hand, many flow chart tools have lane-type charts but they are based on manually drawing all links. It would be better to to be able to simple link the items and not having to manually draw every connection. The thing is that I am reading through research and there constantly appears new ideas/variables that I have to add to the puzzle, and the software should allow for this without me having to manually redraw all the connections.
To simplify, making this kind of simple matrix shown below so that variables in the columns can float freely and are not fixed onto any particular rows, and instead can be linked with as many items in other columns as wanted is the feature I seek.

Even better if the hierarchical levels could be presented in concentric circles.

I should note that, when I say "beginner", I don't just mean the Killers you have by default, I mean Killers someone who's brand new could play. He isn't the best Killer out of the ones a beginner will have. Hell, I wouldn't even say he's the best out of the three launch Killers, I'd put him right in the middle, between Hillbilly and Wraith. I do, however, think he's the best for learning the game.
For starters, his power's dead easy: Set a bear trap, and if a Survivor steps in it, they're immobilized until they're either freed or downed. You've got the other intricacies-there are traps already on the map, Survivors can disarm traps, Survivors are injured if they escape a trap, and so on-but at its core, that's about it. Over time, you'll learn where good and bad places are for traps, and this will, in turn, teach you a bit about general concepts of being a Killer. For example, pallet and pallet loops-how do you work against them, how do you make them work for you, and how do you decide which one to do?
Then, there's his perks, which are far from the best in the game, but still very solid. Brutal Strength is great for Killers that might have to deal with pallets more than usual, e.g. Wraith.
