2024.05.28 22:41 Ok_kitty_123 Achievement farming 🤭

Since it's Tea Party, I decided that I want to farm more achievements again 🤭
Went through ROT ( Season 1&2, yet to finish season 3)
and fully finished GC (got my happy ending, again~)
Now, I liked GC story is interesting, even tho Sci-fi is usually not a genre I enjoy, don't have any complaints about it, I enjoyed going through it again, also Paulie is so precious, my favorite LI definitely ❤️
I also absolutely love the cat ❤️ He's so damn cute and even tho he doesn't have that many scenes, every time he does appear he makes me smile.
Playing as a male MC again is like a breath of fresh air 🤭
I only have like three achievements from GC, didn't screenshot one of them, otherwise would have included it.
ROT however, while it has it's good moments isn't that great.
• I like Murphy a lot, he's my end-game
• Character designs are fine, I like them.
• I like the clothes too.
Story itself is something else entirely, it's certainly not my favorite and I usually enjoy Greek mythology stories.
If you want a betterbGreek Mythology story, I suggest Percy Jackson, the author incorporates Greek Mythology into the modern world amazingly.
Obviously no hate towards ROT's author, I still did enjoy some parts of the story, mainly the romantic scenes~ ❤️
• Only Olympian gods that didn't make an appearance are Demeter (she was mentioned offhandedly a few times) and Hestia (who wasn't mentioned at all or even acknowledged)
• Artemis, Athena and Hestia are all virgin goddesses, not sure why Artemis in particular was chosen to be the main character. Obviously, Aphrodite is one of the LI's, but she would've filled the role of the protagonist for story revolving around relationships better in my opinion.
(Just saying...🤷)
• Hades being turned into a women didn't really bother me.
( In mythology itself, Hades has children with Persephone Macaria, the Erinyes and in some versions, Zagreus, he didn't have any demi-god children in the og mythology)
• Both Anteros and Eros, god of requited love and god of carnal love respectively, are both the sons of Aphrodite and Ares in most interpretations, would've been interesting for that to be mention 🤣
• Artemis, Apollo, Athena, Dionysus, Ares, Hermes and Hephaestus are all Zeus's children, however considering that it's Greek mythology-- they were no strangers to things like incest, them sleeping together isn't much of a shocker. Zeus is literally married to his sister Hera and Persephone is technically Hades's niece since her father is Zeus.
I think in the modern day everyone has learned to pretend that they aren't related.
• Also the Demi-gods, oof that sub-plot... Most demi-gods in Greek mythology (Heracles, Bellerophon, Perseus etc) lived to their adulthood, half of them died because of their hubris or were slain in battle.
• Chimera was slain by the hero Bellerophon.
• We saw Charybdis in ROT, but where is Scylla tho? She was supposed to be there too.
From those two the saying ''Between the rock and a hard place'' originated from. Where you have to choose between two equally unpleasant things.
In the case of the two sea monsters, either getting ripped to shreds by Scylla or getting swallowed by Charybdis.
Okay, I will stop complaining now, I swear 🤣
Also, nearly 100 achievements! so, that will tiny Lil' accomplishment soon 🤭
Made quite a nice pile of diamonds doing all this achievement hunting~🤣

2024.05.28 19:01 Amiisthebest Coining a new term for virtue signaling and anti Israel celebrities

Hey y’all.
Due to many celebrities and content creators (most recently Ariana Grande 😩) supporting Palestine and quite possibly Hamas, with little to no mention of the hostages or October 7th.
So I thought about what’s a fitting name for these celebrities that get themselves involved in an ancient conflict and have the audacity to support terror organizations? I present you… 🥁🥁🥁

Dhimmi Lovato

(Dhimmi Lovatos in plural)
Definition: A combination of Demi Lovato, singer, no shade girl I loved heart attack!
And Dhimmi status, which means that these celebrities are essentially relegating themselves to basically forsaking the western world and their normal fans for the purpose of being accepted to this new world order that the Jihad Janes believe is being created right now and avoid being cancelled for not speaking up for the watermelon people, or for the sake of virtue signaling and being called a so called activist.
Ex: Wow, I used to love Victoria Monét but she just wanted to get that Dhimmi Lovato status, I mean… go girl give us sharia law!
What’chu guys think about this? Would love to hear your thoughts!

2024.05.28 13:30 Sharkmissiles Idea for a Venom scene in Beyond the Spiderverse

Ok hear me out: A Venom scene in Beyond the Spiderverse. (Warning: This is very long) The scene starts with the Motley Crew of Spiders discussing how to travel around the Spiderverse without being caught (the bootlegs are independent but can still be traced by Miguel due to them causing anomalies). Hobie mentions how while traveling through Dimension 19999, he managed to catch 'this little shit', drawing a little canister with Venom in it. Gwen mentions how that's important, and Hobie says that 19999 is one of the few dimensions without Venoms in it, and reasons how this means that the Venoms have found a way to cross universes, similar to Spiders. Gwen asks how this information is going to help them, so Hobie explains how if the Venoms managed to escape Miguel's notice, then they might be able to help them. The others don't look excited for this plan, especially Peni, but Gwen convinces them, that this is the only way to save Miles. With everyone in agreement, Hobie opens the canister and pours the venom onto himself.
Everyone is freaking out, asking why the heck Hobie would do that, with him nonchalantly explaining that if they were going to meet up with the Venoms, they’d have to be a Venom. Suddenly, Venom speaks up (voiced by Tom Hardy), that since he now controls Hobie, ‘The way I see it, I can do whatever I want.’ (call back to the end of the Venom movie). Upon hearing this, Spider-Ham pulls out a toon-style Foghorn and threatens to blast it at him (Symbiotes are weak to noise, and since it’s toon-style, it packs an extra punch). Venom begrudgingly backs down, and Hobie explains how he needs Venom to give him the Coordinates for the ‘Venom Lobby.’ Venom lists them out, with Peni stating that the coordinates are weird and don’t match any universes. Venom explains that since they needed to avoid ‘that pesky sci-fi spider’ the ‘Boss’ created a demi-plane (similar to Supreme Strange’s bar in What if S1E9) for them to hang out in. The Spiders, content with the explanation, open a portal and walk through. We open with a wide shot of the Bar, with multiple Venom variants milling about. Most of them are Eddies, but there are a few Spidermen (and some good ‘Venomised’ variants of other heroes for good measure), as well as some other Symbiotes. The Spiders walk to the serving area, getting glares from the other Venoms inside. At the serving area itself, we see 2 Venoms enjoying drinks, Insomniac and Spectacular (both with returning VAs) discussing where Earth-688 (Sony) Venom is, with Spectacular Venom saying how Sony Venom mentioned something ‘going on a romantic getaway with his host’, followed by both the symbiotes laughing. The Spiders pull up to the bar, which is being manned by Pork Grind (Aniverse Venom Variant, Dreamcast as Alex Brightman). Spider-Ham and PG exchange glances, before Hobie buts in and asks where they can meet this ‘Boss’. PG acts dumb before Spider-Ham re-brandishes his Foghorn. This causes PG to also back down, and pulls a lever, revealing a door to ‘The Boss’s Lair.’ The Spiders walkthrough, with 19999 Venom quickly popping out of Hobie’s back to call PG a ‘Pussy’ (reference to Venom 1 movie when Eddie wants to take the elevator).
The Spiders walk into the hidden room where we see Agent Venom (also played by Tom Hardy), TAS Carnage (no speaking role), a smaller Symbiote Dragon (no speaking role), and Priest Venom (voiced by James Monroe Iglehart) all sitting around playing Poker at a table. Noir mutters underneath his breath, while Hobie walks up to the Venoms. Before Hobie speaks, Priest Venom raises his hand to shush him, keeping his eyes on his fellow players. Suddenly, he slams his hand down and yells ‘Royal Flush!’ as all the other players groan and look away. Priest Venom turns to Hobie and asks him what he’s here for. Hobie explains the situation while PV sits there with his hands crossed, listening. After Hobie finishes, PV asks how they even got here. Hobie explains 199999 Venom, and after he finishes, PV just laughs. He explains how 199999 getting there wasn’t even Venom’s fault, and it had something to do with ‘that pesky spider from 19999.’ He also asks why Hobie thinks that the Venom’s will help them. He specifically points out this has arch-nemesis is literally in the room, and even makes a slight taunt at Peni asking what her canon event was (cue flashback to Peni’s canon event, too long to write here). Spider-Ham speaks up and pulls out his foghorn, threatening PV with it. However, PV doesn’t flinch. Suddenly, the Foghorn flies out of Spider-Ham’s hand, and we see 13122 Venom (Lego Venom, voiced by Ben Pronsky) on Spider-Ham’s hand, being the reason, it flicked away. The other Symbiotes now stand up next to PV, thinking they have the upper hand, with Lego Venom transforming into his Big Fig form, causing Gwen to throw a side comment about how cute it is. All the Spiders prepare for battle, except Noir, who puts his hands up. Everyone else is confused, but he tells them to do the same. PV laughs, thinking he has won. Suddenly, Noir flicks a lit match between his fingers (similar to how magicians do with cards, also, callback to his introduction in Into the Spiderverse) and drops it on the floor before opening a portal beneath the Spider Crew, getting them out of there. We now see that Noir had been spilling alcohol on the floor (stolen from the bar), so when the light hits the ground, the whole thing goes up in flames. The Spiders walk away from the explosion going through the portal, and it looks badass as heck. End Scene.

2024.05.28 06:26 FemBoiRikki How to stop song from automatically changing to a different Version?

There is a song I keep adding to my Liked list called "No Promises" by Cheat Codes (Ft. Demi Lovato). Every time I add it, I get a "Club Edit". Is there a way to still play this as "Song" and not as "Video" because I have to change back and forth since some songs have it as a music video and I would prefer the music only?

2024.05.28 03:16 Humble_Fan6347 The Birth of the Kendu legend

The Birth of the Kendu Legend and the spirit of Shytoshi

It started with a whisper. Carried on the wind, barely audible. But for those who caught it, it was a signal, a great sign of a new dawn and a new legend. The alpha was undeniable. A mysterious connection to an ancient legend called Shytoshi who had promised enlightenment at the conclusion of the journey to the faithful.
There was something breathing in the shadows. A new hero was to emerge, Kendu Miazaki, shrouded in a cloak to obscure his true identity.
The wind carried that legend, the Messiah, across the landscape and those who heard him speak carried his words in their hands like the infant saviour. This legend created by Miazaki had the power to wrap itself around the hearts of those who believed in the great prophecy.
These hearts became warriors. Dedicated to cementing the folklore and ushering it into being. They put their fucking helmets on and tightened the straps. They were ready to go into battle.
At the foot of the hill, amongst his small following of PFP's with helmets, Martini in hand, Miazaki stood looking down upon the small gathering of faithfuls - "I am one man. I am no one special. I am replaceable. If you unearthed me you would be disappointed as I am just a man" The words sounded eerily familiar. Right?
Who was this new messiah among us? Where had he been for 2.5 years? What was his purpose? Why did he return? And was that the sweet scent of Jager bombs on his breath?
At the foot of the great mountain, loyalists assembled, they saw the clouds shimmering at the peaks. "One step at a time. You $KENDU it" said Miazaki. "The 1 billion market cap party will happen when we reach the summit". His voice shrouded in a thick Australian drawl which seemed at complete odds with this type of prophecy narrative.
As the army set forth on foot, their eyes on the peak of the mountain, their hearts cradling the great prophecy, they had one goal in mind. Moon this bitch. Hard.
The journey was arduous, each step a test of endurance and resolve. Through rugged terrain and treacherous paths, jeet dumps, accidental maestro accidents, wen boys and moon bois, Miazaki led his band of loyalists with unwavering determination. The wind carried their whispers, a symphony of hope and determination, as they pressed on toward the summit.
They battled fierce beasts that lurked in the shadows, scammers, dips, dumps, long consolidation periods, their roars echoing through the valleys. They weathered storms that threatened to tear them asunder, their spirits unbroken by the fury of nature.
Many shady figures emerged, posing as the faithful. Offering to lend their armies to the cause in return for a 1% supply of Kendu tokens.
But Miazaki stood strong and saw these people of perceived influence as they were, tricksters with synthetic armies without heart and conviction, who would run at the first sight of resistence. Some of the Kendu army questioned Miazaki, saw these people of influence as a viable and easy option to lessen their workload on the way to the summit.
Miazaki stood before his doubters. "Go back down the mountain to the Solana cesspool from wence you came. We do not need those with Jeet hearts and minds among us". Challenged by their lack of faith, these few jeets who lacked the Kendu Attitude fell to their knees, cucked each other, slipped and tumbled into the Solana Swamp or back at base camp, never to be seen again"
At a time of need, one great titan joined the journey, Mike O'Hearn, his ripped organic body shaming the fat ass keyboard warriors and giving them renewed faith. Those who saw this Demi God were secretly beguiled by him, even if they couldn't admit it to themselves.
Even a Crowned Prince joined the army, bowing before Miazaki and offering his unwavering loyalty.
The now large army came across a small whining gollum like creature, Larky Poos, who lived halfway up the mountain, scraping pots of gold from others who had tried to climb the great mountain before.
"I'm glad you ave joined us" bellowed Pete, a loyal Kendu warrior.
"Peeete! What the heck??" cried Larky Poos, as Pete placed an extremely large helmet on Larky Poos tiny little jeet skull.
Resistance was futile. The legend was already too great to deny. And soon little Larky Poos joined the crusade and for the first time, without a secret bag of gold for his efforts.
Throughout the journey, Miazaki remained steadfast, a beacon of courage and resilience for his followers. With each passing obstacle, his legend grew, his name whispered in awe and reverence by those who witnessed his deeds. And in turn his army grew, assembling to 5000 strong. But there was a storm or resistance brewing that made some falter.
Miazaki turned to his army. "One step at a time, one heart at a time. And so the prophecy shall be deemed infallible. For each heart beats as one. A sentient heart. An organic legend borne of your blood, sweat and tears. Beating so loud through the land, that is has awoken the ancient spirits".
One faltering loyalist cried out. "What's next???! We need...."
But before the words could fall from his mouth, Miazaki bellowed. "There is no one coming to save you Jeet!"
Miazaki looked at all his children...
"You are all jeets"
His eyes cast across them, landing in particular on Larky Poos.
"What the Heck??" blubbered Larky Poos.
"Everyone has their price, Larky Poos" Miazaki continued... "You will not all be here when we reach the peak. You are all replaceable. We shall see who carries the spirit of the five Inus once we reach the peak".
After some time, the arduous journey saw the weak crumble. Jeeting themselves back down to the valley of Dead spirits, Solana Valley. Others who could not take another step, joined the cuck circus on the mountainside. So much cucking that a case or two of Covid 19 broke out and threatened to strike Miazaki down. But those who cradled the prophecy and aspired to be part of the great legend, continued, one foot in front of the other towards their ultimate destiny, and carried Miazaki until his health returned.
At last, they reached the mid point of the great mountain, its peak obscured by clouds that danced like wraiths in the sky. With a final glance at his comrades, Miazaki raised his Martini high, a symbol of their unwavering determination.
"All of you still here are great Kendu Chads! And for that I will reward you with a equally great utility. You are about to have your little jeet minds blown" he declared, his voice ringing out with a newfound strength.
As they climbed higher and higher, the air grew thin and the winds howled with ferocious intensity. Yet still, they pressed on, fuelled by the belief that they were destined for greatness.
And then, after what seemed like an eternity, they reached the summit, the clouds parting to reveal a breathtaking vista that stretched out before them. In that moment, they knew that they had achieved the impossible, that they had fulfilled the Kendu prophecy that had guided them from the very beginning.
With tears of joy streaming down their faces, Miazaki and his loyalists stood atop the mountain, their hearts filled with a sense of accomplishment that transcended words. For they knew that they had proven themselves worthy of the legend that had brought them together, and that they would forever be remembered as the heroes who had dared to defy fate itself.
A bright light emerged from the skies and Shytoshi himself descended from the clouds.
"Welcome to the promise land, Kendu Chads. I have been waiting for you"

2024.05.27 06:06 M00n_Slippers A Blasphemous Affair (PART 2): How Marika became the Gloam-Eyed Queen to hunt a Soulless King

This is PART 2!! Follow this link to READ PART 1 FIRST!

Marika and the Night of the Black Knives

So by now it would appear that Marika had ample reason to become an angry, murderous shadow bent on revenge. She was married and impregnated, possibly against her will, by an old man who was controlling, and possibly mad and dangerous. She was wrongly accused of being unfaithful, forced to flee her home for her and her child's life, hunted and slandered everywhere she went.
What could she do? Well, she may have plotted an assassination using the power of Death and Black Flame.
Considering the Royal Remains set calls Ensha "the Soulless King", and the moniker 'soulless' has exclusively been used to describe those killed with the rune of death such as the "soulless demigods" of the Mausoleums, it suggests this method was also used to kill him. It's been a long standing mystery as to why there appears to be a second death-blighted body in Stormhill, when Godwyn was assassinated in Leyndell. Various parts of the story of the Night of Black Knives has never quite added up, and I think we can now see why: There was more than one night of the Black Knives.
Black Knife Hood: Hood used by the Black Knife Assassins. The assassins that carried out the deeds of the Night of the Black Knives were all women, and rumored to be Numen who had close ties with Marika herself.
Evidence such as this has been used to accuse Marika of being involved in the death of her son Godwyn. Because why would those involved in the Night of the Black Knives be Marika's closest people? You could decide that maybe it was some kind of inside job behind her back, but it's surprising that some find it suspicious. Technically you can still believe Marika was involved with killing Godwyn and this theory at the same time, (though I don't personally). But I believe that at the very least, this text is meant to describe Marika and her comrades who set out to kill Ensha.
Left: DLC character impaled with golden object. Middle: Black Knife. Right: Blade of Calling.
The object spearing the corpse in the DLC Image branches, somewhat similar to the Black Knives used in Godwyn's murder. It's golden color is quite difference, but a sister weapon to the Black Knife, the Blade of Calling, has the skill 'Blade of Gold.' I have long been a proponent that Melina is a piece of Marika. I believe she may represent her lost innocence from long ago, fragmented from shattering the ring. As Melina's weapon, it seems possible that the Blade of Calling may have been a weapon used to kill Ensha-Shabriri.
Blade of Calling: Dagger given to one who set out on a journey to fulfill her duty long ago. The power of its former owner, the kindling maiden, is still apparent. The one who walks alongside flame, Shall one day meet the road of Destined Death.
Upper Left: Stormveil Corpse. Lower Left: DLC Character. Upper Right: Godwyn Corpse. Lower Right: Godwyn from Original Story Trailer.
Notice anything about the two death-blighted corpses? The one buried at the foot of the Erdtree which we are told is Godwyn's corpse, shares his golden hair as an identifying feature. The corpse under Stormveil however is hairless, it's bald, like the man in the portrait.
Considering as well that
Granted, there is not a lot of explicit information pointing to a second plot, and it appears the stories of such a possible second plot, may have been mixed in with the rumors surrounding Ranni's plot. However there is a lot of circumstantial evidence. For instance, we do know that the creation of a a blade capable of killing gods was crafted once before, in the Eternal Cities.
Fingerslayer Blade: The hidden treasure of the Eternal City of Nokron; a blade said to have been born of a corpse. This blood-drenched fetish is proof of the high treason committed by the Eternal City and symbolizes its downfall*. Cannot be wielded by those without a fate, but is said to be* able to harm the Greater Will and its vassals.
Nox Monk Hood: Silk hood worn by the monks of the Eternal City. Long ago, the Nox invoked the ire of the Greater Will, and were banished deep underground. Now they live under a false night sky, in eternal anticipation of their liege. Of the coming age of the stars. And their Lord of Night.
As the former Elden Lord and God of his age, Ensha would have been protected by the Greater Will, just as Marika-Radagon is in the present day. It would have taken a special blade with the ability to kill Gods in order to commit her act of treason. In Ranni's plot, this blade was forged by the War Counsilour Iji who acts as a Smith in the game and has the ability to upgrade your weapons. He used a 'mirror helm' in order to do so and avoid the gaze of god.
Iji's Mirrorhelm: Helm fashioned from a crystal looking-glass, said to have never left War Counselor Iji's head. Easily broken and weak against striking attacks. Worn by those committed to high treason, it wards off the intervention of the Greater Will and its vassal Fingers. Iji was afraid. Terrified of his own treachery.
Nox Mirrorhelm: Helm fashioned from a crystal looking-glass. One among the Eternal City's ritual implements. Easily broken and weak against striking attacks. Worn by those committed to high treason, it wards off the intervention of the Greater Will and its vassal Fingers.
Those of the eternal cities did the same, and the crafter, the smith, may even be known. Hewg, the Smith of the Roundtable, is the only other smith in the game capable of upgrading your special weapons aside from Iji. His name may be a play on the word "Hew" meaning to shape or chop, especially wood (such as the Erdtree perhaps), and the Germanic name "Hugh" meaning "Bright in Mind and Spirit" or "Thoughtful", and related to the name Hugin, one of the names of Odin's Ravens in Norse Mythology. Hewg even says that he is crafting a weapon to kill a god for Marika.
Hewg says: Your divinity, have mercy, and grant me forgiveness. The road is yet long. A God is not easily felled. But one day, without fail, you will have your wish. So please, grant me forgiveness, Queen Marika..."
Some have suggested this line is proof that Marika is keeping him hostage, but this is not the case. Hewg tells you explicitly that he is being kept in chains by the Roundtable, probably Gideon, the All Knowing, who appears to be in charge of the current Roundtable.
Hewg: "I see you've noticed the chains. Nothing special. I'm a prisoner, and these are my chains. I'm trapped by the Hold, undying, smithing for you fools. That's all there is to it".
Now if Hewg did this in the past it would be strange that he is talking about forging a weapon for killing a god now as if it's happening in present day. But as you eventually find out if you continue to talk to him, Hewg seems to be having issues with his memory.
Hewg: Who are you? Oh, I must be a blacksmith. Now, let's get smithing...Could you tell me what happened? Why is the Roundtable burning, in ruins? Why does that girl weep for me? Have I forgotten something of dire importance?
Perhaps this was even done to him on purpose to hide the memory of this act of treason from the world. As we see in the original Portrait, Marika is wearing a veil, and in Elden Ring, items such as the Mimic's Veil and Concealing Veil are associated with trickery and hiding secrets. You first find the Mimic's Veil item in Stormveil, which even has the word 'Veil' in it's name, suggesting some sinister secret lies there. The Vulgar Militia armor suggests they may be from the Shadow lands concealed by Marika's veil, and that said lands, and all memory of these events in history were removed from the world.
Vulgar Militia Armor: Armor worn by lean, mean, and filthy militiamen. Freshly-singed battlegrounds effusing with the stench of the dead. Forbidden lands that will be excised from the memory of history. This is where the vulgar militia serve, as untiring, unsung watch-keepers.
But rather it seems Hewg did complete the weapon, which became the Godslayer's Greatesword. And Marika and her apostles set out to kill Ensha.
God Slayers Greatsword: Sacred sword of the Gloam-Eyed Queen who controlled the Godskin Apostles before her defeat at the hands of Maliketh. The black flames wielded by the apostles are channeled from this sword.
Considering the remains of Ensha are 'employed' by Gideon, and he even has Hewg imprisoned to the Roundtable, it suggests that he is actually completely aware of the original plot of Marika's to kill the old Elden Lord. He sought out Hewg for his abilities to make a godslaying blade in order ot become Elden Lord. His 'servant' Ensha himself may be a dead puppeted body of his, considering if you try to feed him Seluvis's puppet potion he recognizes it right away, as if it's a practice he's familiar with and perhaps able to perform himself.
(Showing Seluvis's potion) Gideon Ofnir: "Is that potion what I think it is? Bloody Seluvis. I suppose he's up to something again. Oh, I won't interfere. You go ahead and do what you must. The Roundtable has no code to speak of. But, I ask you this. Are you really going to do the bidding of that twisted dolly botherer? Or would you rather hand that potion to me, and see if we can't get one over on the bastard?
But this begs the question of why there is a second corpse besides the one in Stormveil inflicted with Deathblight? I don't know that there is a clear answer. Ensha could be a replica. Shabriri's body snatching could be a routine thing and Ensha was a former body of his aside from the one inflicted with Deathblight. Rogier of Gideon himself could have retrieved the remains when poking around Stormveil. It could also be that the signs of deathblight in Stormveil are not the actual body of the person killed, but merely the effects of accursed ground from the deed done.

Sacrifices of War, the Soulless Demigods

Another mystery that may be connected to the first night of the Black Knives are the Walking Mausoleums, which house a number of soulless demi-gods, as is where Remembrances can be duplicated.
Mausoleum Soldier Ashes: Ashen remains in which spirits yet dwell. Use to summon the spirits of five mausoleum soldiers. Spirits of five headless soldiers who confound foes by disappearing and reappearing at will. The mausoleum is where the bodies of soulless demigods are lain to rest, and these soldiers followed their masters into Death by severing their own heads from their bodies.
We have a number of bodies in the Wandering Mausoleums which appear mostly normal in size and shape, despite their soullessness. It could be that the walking stone platforms are meant to keep the curse effecting any ground long enough to begin forming a blight-cursed ground.
Left: Lhutel the Headless Spirit Asses. Right: Mausoleum Corpse in offering gesture.
Rather than being the victims of Death Blight however, they may be the willing perpetrators who assisted Marika in killing Ensha, who like Ranni, sacrificed their bodies to the ritual which creates the Black Blades, leaving their souls to wander 'burnt and bodiless'. The Mausoleum Knight Armor description emphasizes how the knight, who is headless just like the soulless demigods themselves, were willing and their decapitations were self-inflicted. The hands of the demi-gods within are even raised as if making an offering.
Mausoleum Knight Armor: Armor worn by headless knights who endlessly guard the Wandering Mausoleum. The wing-shaped ornaments on its back evoke the Deathbird. A self-inflicted curse that ties the spirits of these loyal knights to the land, having willingly beheaded themselves so that they may serve their masters in death.
Many assume the death of these Demi-Gods housed in the Mausoleums to have occurred after the second Night of the Black Knives. But the opening sequence of the game never actually mentions any demigods perishing other than Godwyn, merely mentioning that Godwyn was 'the first', then moving on to the shattering war. Mentioning he is the first could merely be alluding to the fact that the Tarnished in the game goes on to fell a heck of a lot more throughout the story, racking up that body count.
Opening Narrator: "Now, Queen Marika the Eternal is nowhere to be found, and in the Night of the Black Knives, Godwyn the Golden was first to perish. Marika's offspring, demigods all, claimed the shards of the Elden Ring."
There is also the case of the words of a spirit overlooking one of the Walking Mausoleums, which some have suggested connect them to Godwyn's death, but this is one of the rare cases where the English translation of Elden Ring falls short.
(English) The mausoleum prowls. Cradling the soulless demigod. O Marika, Queen Eternal. He is your unwanted child....
(Japanese) …霊廟がさまよっている。魂無きデミゴッドを抱いて おお、永遠の女王マリカよ。貴女の、醜い落とし子を抱いて
(Direct Translation): …The mausoleum is wandering. Embracing a soulless demigod, O eternal queen Marika. Holding your shameful offspring…
Not only is there no gender mentioned for the child, which further dilutes the possibilities for who she could be talking about, it doesn't mention anything about being unwanted. I personally feel that the phrase itself is something of a double entendre.
The word 醜い can mean both ugly or unsightly, as well as disgraceful, shameful. While the word 落とし子 can mean a noble's illegitimate child, as well as aftermath or result, as in the aftermath of war. This may be referring both to the soulless demi-gods, who died willingly in an act of war upon the former Elden Lord, as well as the child who was a product of the shameful act inflicted on Marika. In no way does it say the child isn't wanted or suggest that Marika would have harmed or abandoned the child.
It is at this point that we have to question that these so-called demigods could be Marika's children at all. We don't exactly know when the first Night of the Black Knives took place, but could she have had the time to produce so many children? It is possible, but it seems pretty unlikely. And after all Enia makes a point of confirming that all demi-gods come from Marika:
Enia: "...Indeed. But remember one thing. The demigods are each and all the direct offspring of Queen Marika."
Here the here for 'Offspring' is 'こ', meaning child or offshoot (as in a plant). However Enia is talking about the demi-gods alive currently, who do all appear to be her children. That is not to say that demigods always only referred to her blood children.
Volcano Manor Invitation: Letter given by Rya as thanks for retrieving her necklace. Contains an invitation to Volcano Manor. "Brave Tarnished, Seek the Altus Plateau in the realm of the Erdtree. Prove yourself by making this journey, and the Volcano Manor will fully extend its invitation. To fight, amongst a family of champions."
In cut content, Tanith would even have welcomed you into the family herself if you willingly fed yourself to the snake, which was named Evelign. (possibly from "Eveline" meaning source of life or Little bird, and Evangeline meaning "Good News" as well as the word "Evil".)
Tanith (cut content): A fine sacrifice indeed. Let us devour the gods, together! Now you are family.
Furthermore the language used in the description of the walking mausoleum includes 'cradled' and 'embraced' These are both terms used in the description of the Gloam-eyed Queen towards her apostles, with the Godskin Swaddling Cloth saying "The Gloam-Eyed Queen cradles newborn apostles swaddled in this cloth. Soon they will grow to become the death of the gods." And the Black Flame's protection uses the word 'Embraced' the same as is used in descrioptions of the Deathbed companions.
Black Flame's Protection: A black flame incantation of the Godskin Apostles...The Apostles were all embraced by the Gloam-Eyed Queen, and the black flame was their armor within.
If these are fellow recusants who gave their lives for the plot, they may have been the original Ravenmount assassins, given the Mauseleum Knight armor says it has "wing-shaped ornaments on its back [to] evoke the Deathbird." Both appear to be associated with a 'ritual' if nothing else.
Raptor's Black Feathers: Robe crafted with the black feathers of a bird of prey. Worn by the assassins of Ravenmount. A ritual implement for transforming into a Deathbird, if only by imitation. Strengthens jump attacks. "We are birds of prey, bringers of death."
The Raptor's set is even located in the Sage's Cave where you find a Black Knive Assassin--the Ravenmount Assassin's modern analogue, and Necromancer Garris, who appears to be yet another Ensha proxy, given item descriptions suggest he hunted and murdered his wife and twin children--twins just like Tamar, thus rediscovering an ancient death hex thought lost--just as knowledge of Ensha was lost. Just like Ensha ruled over people who were 'lost and desperate'.
Family Heads: Three bludgeoning copper heads attached to a handle by chains. Signature weapon of Necromancer Garris, the heretical sage. The heads were made to resemble those of his wife and two children.
Rancorcall: Sorcery of the servants of Death. Summons vengeful spirits that chase down foes. Charging enhances potency. Once thought lost, this ancient death hex was rediscovered by the necromancer Garris.
Top: DLC Story trailer scene Miquella followers. Bottom Left: Walking Mausoleum. Bottom Right: Spirit Calling Bell.
But regardless of who they are, or where the soulless demigods come from, it seems possible the DLC may intend to revive them, as proposed by u/marinebiologist_0. The Ashes of Lhutel the Headless suggest there is an intention to revive their soulless masters.
Lhutel the Headless: Legendary ashen remains. Use to summon the spirit of Lhutel the Headless. Spirit of a headless knight who leads the mausoleum soldiers. Wields a lance enrobed in Death and hurls spectral lances at foes. Lhutel sacrificed her life so that in Death she could continue to protect a soulless demigod until their revival, earning her the hero's honor of Erdtree Burial.
And while the deafening Bell of the Walking Mausoleums may be meant to invoke a Funeral Bell, it is also the case that in Elden Ring, Bells are used to summon spirits, such as with the Spirit Calling Bell and the Wraith Calling Bell.
Mausoleum Surcoat Armor: Worn by headless soldiers who endlessly guard the Wandering Mausoleum. The surcoat depicts the mausoleum bell, which rings in constant mourning for the soulless demigods.
Spirit Calling Bell: A bell capable of summoning various spirits from ashen remains...Spirits can only be summoned in the vicinity of a rebirth monument.
Wraith Calling Bell: Bell used by worshippers of revenants. Ring bell, using FP to summon prowling wraiths...Wraiths are said to be the vengeful spirits of those who died when cursed.
Only time will tell what they followers have gathered for. With the possible implication of Shabriri suggesting that those inflicted with soullessness are not gone but merely untethered from their bodies, as well as Ensha's corpse from the Story Trailer suggesting he may be an opponent in the DLC, perhaps they have gathered to put him down once and for all. But that's just speculation.

Marika and Maliketh: The Slaying of a Beast

The Elephant, or shall we say the 'Beast' in the room, is of course the demise of the Gloam-Eyed Queen. This is not helped by the fact that when you examine the Japanese on items regarding Maliketh, they are often much more ambiguous than the English version. The Godslayer's Great Sword says "Sacred sword of the Gloam-Eyed Queen who controlled the Godskin Apostles before her defeat at the hands of Maliketh." Notably, it is said that Maliketh 'sealed' destined Death and that he 'defeated' the Gloam-eyed Queen, not that he killed her.
Scouring Black Flame: A black flame incantation of the Godskin Apostles. The black flame could once slay gods. But when Maliketh sealed Destined Death*, the true power of the black flame was lost.*
To figure out what may have happened we need to investigate the nature of Maliketh himself. Who and what is he? Maliketh's Remembrance and his Armor set have some insights.
Remembrance of Maliketh, the Black Blade: Maliketh was a shadowbound beast given to his Empyrean. Marika's sole need of her shadow was a vessel to lock away Destined Death. Even then, she betrayed him.
Maliketh's Helm: Beast's helm made of black iron and decorated with gold. Worn by Maliketh the Black Blade. Maliketh, Queen Marika's loyal half-brother, bore a blade imbued with Destined Death...
Maliketh is a "Shadowbound Beast" to Marika. Shadowbound beasts are loyal wolf-men serving Empyreans, who are God candidates chosen by the Two Fingers. Though often referred to as their master's siblings, rather they are actually the very shadow of their master, being "a part of their very being," as Blaidd says. It would appear that if the Empyrean seeks to defy their fate, the Shadowbound beast will enter a rage and attack them.
Raging Wolf Greave: Greaves worn by Vargram the Raging Wolf, one of the first Tarnished to visit the Roundtable Hold. According to the old legends, wolves are the shadows of the Empyrean, and this is what Vargram aspired to be.
Blaidd's Armor: Well-worn black armor of the man-wolf Blaidd. Blaidd, who served as Ranni's shadow, was a loyal ally who would defy destiny itself if it would have him turn upon his Lady.
Blaidd (At Forlorn Hound Evergaol after defeating Radahn): Oh, it's you... It's me, Blaidd. Old Iji trapped me here. Told me I'd bring nought but bale to Lady Ranni. But there's no chance that could happen. I'm part of her being. Her very shadow... I thought old Iji knew as much... Honestly, I don't know what's going on anymore...
Blaidd*: "No. I’m part of her very being! I could never betray her! No matter what might happen... Ranni... She needs me..."
It is my belief that shadowbound beasts represent the Empyrean's bestial nature. To become a being capable of ascending to a God, one must separate their reason from their natural instincts for desire, aggression and even survival. When one is able to do this, their shadow becomes a beast in service to their master, as the Elden Beast is a servant to the Greater Will. Only those who are capable of defeating their inner beast are capable of becoming true gods.
Just as Blaidd turns against his will upon Ranni when she resists the desire to rule and chooses to leave the lands between with the Elden Ring, when Marika's revenge upon Ensha was done, she may have been tempted to betray the duty of a God and give up being an Empyrean and Queen, so he attacked.
Maliketh may have been a leader among the assassins on the first Night of the Black Knives, the armor is black and helm is shaped somewhat like a raven's head. As Gurranq, he also gives out claw items which have three toes, like a raven's claw along with small wings on the seal. The claw mark on Melina's eye appears to be a bird's as well.
Top Left: Maliketh. Top Right: Caelid Crow. Bottom Left: Melina eye seal. Bottom Right: Clawmark Seal.
Given the various claw items surrounding Maliketh, the eye items that mention Marika's duty, and the claw symbol over Melina's eye, which later opens in the Frenzied ending to reveal a deathly appearance many have associated with the Gloam-Eyed Queen, it seems possible Maliketh may have blinded Marika in the attack in order to seal the Rune of Death. Or perhaps Marika gouged out her eye herself after coming to her senses, as per the Matthew 5:29-30:
"If your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body be thrown into hell."
Marika's Scarseal: An eye engraved with an Elden Rune. Said to be the seal of Queen Marika. These seals represent the lifelong duty of those chosen by the gods.
Marika's Soreseal: This legendary talisman is an eye engraved with an Elden Rune, said to be the seal of Queen Marika...Solemn duty weighs upon the one beholden; not unlike a gnawing curse from which there is no deliverance.
Indeed Marika may be completely blind in the present day. Aside from generic statues in churches, cinematic game footage and concept are does not show her with her eyes open at any point and rarely shows her from the front either. This may be corroborated by the Shield of the Guilty.
Shield of the Guilty: Shield made to venerate a maiden whose eyes were crushed by Briars of Sin before being reborn in these lands. Venerating the repose of the soul, this shield boosts focus.
In the 1.0 description it was even more obvious that it likely depicted Marika.
(Shield of the Guilty 1.0) Shield covered in sharp spikes, depicting the image of a goddess. Can also be used as a weapon, as the spikes cause severe hemorrhaging.

Conclusion

So ends this theory write up. many of you may be wondering, "Okay, but how does Radagon fit into the theory? Or Godfrey? Or Godwyn? Or Messmer? Or Rennala? Or etc." Unfortunately I will have to address all of that in my next post, as this one simply became too long.
Initially I was going to include all of these characters, because I feel I have enough evidence to do so and broaden the scope significantly. However, I felt it was better to narrow this theory to Marika and Ensha alone. Thank you for reading, I hope you will consider this theory honestly.

2024.05.27 01:12 Educational_Ad1624 Selfish Speeches

In the beginning of her career, Taylor's award acceptance speeches always included her family and were actually quite personal and sweet. There's one I recall where she tears up while thanking her mom.
However, her most recent speeches are just selfish drivel and self appraisal. She doesn't really thank anyone. It's just "ME HEE HEE 🎶 hooooo hooooo hoooooo 🎶 and then ps buy my new album!!! Like girl, you really don't wanna thank ANYONE in your life?! We had Miley Cyrus dedicate a whole speech to what an inspiration Mariah is, and Billie Eilish talk about a teacher. Like...Alexa play Demi Lovato's "Anyone"!!!!!!

2024.05.26 23:00 Future-Flatworm-7313 Who were the first artists to inspire your singing style?

Growing up, my mom had a lot of Mariah Carey CD's and had Burlesque on DVD, so I became obsessed with her and Christina Aguilera as a result. Tried to imitate the growls and whistle tones lol. As I got older and by the time I was a teenager, Demi Lovato and Ariana Grande were hitting the scene (who inspired my attempts at mixed voice/agility), and later, JoJo (for riffs/runs), who I'd say my style most resembles at the moment. I'm a baritone for context lol

2024.05.26 19:18 Different_Ruin_4538 [Lore Theory] Radagon is a Blessed Dew Mimic Tear

[Lore Theory] Radagon is a Blessed Dew Mimic Tear
All right, I know this has been theorized a few of times before, but I honestly believe it to be 100% true.
One of the major sticking points of who Radagon is has always been this quote by Melina, when she is speaking the echoes of Marika.
"O Radagon, leal hound of the Golden Order. Thou'rt yet to become me. Thou'rt yet to become a god. Let us be shattered, both. Mine other self."
This quote has always stuck with me. How is Radagon both Marika and not? She plainly says he is not her, but will become her, but is also her other self. Well, if he is a "Mimic Tear" made from Marika's own self then, I believe, this could solve this. Also, I do not believe he was made from Celestial Dew, which I believe is what makes Silver and Mimic tears, but instead something much more primordial, but I'll get back to that.
It has also always been hard for my brain to wrap itself around the timeline of Marika and Godfrey's marriage and the marriage between Radagon and Rennala.
From this quote spoken by Miriel, Pastor of Vows, we can glean that they were married at the same time.
“[W]hen Godfrey, first Elden Lord, was hounded from the Lands Between, Radagon left Rennala to return to the Erdtree Capital, becoming Queen Marika's second husband and King Consort, taking the title...of second Elden Lord. The mystery endures, to this day... As to why Lord Radagon would cast Lady Rennala aside... and moreover...why a mere champion would be chosen for the seat of Elden Lord”.
We see that Radagon was with Rennala up until Godfrey was exiled by Marika, only then did he abandon Rennala and return to Marika. To me this shows they are definitely two different people and not just Marika donning her Mimic Veil.
So, let's lay out some facts we can surmise about Radagon.
  • Radagon has red hair. This is apparently, very important because it's mentioned often enough. Miriel says it at least twice * "It is here, at the Church of Vows, that the great houses of the Erdtree and the Moon were joined. By the matrimonial bond between red-haired Radagon and Rennala of the Full Moon." * "Lord Radagon was a great champion, possessed of flowing red locks."
    • And the Radagon Icon also mentions his hair color.
      • Radagon Icon - A legendary talisman depicting the Elden Lord Radagon. Shortens the casting time of sorceries and incantations. As the husband of Rennala of Caria, the red-haired Radagon studied sorcery, and as the husband of Queen Marika, he studied incantations. Thus did the hero aspire to be complete.
  • Radagon feels incomplete. Seen in the description above. Radagon is aspiring to be complete.
  • Radagon is a great champion, but not as impressive as Godfrey. Miriel is perplexed as to why a "mere champion" is chosen as Elden Lord after all.
  • Radagon was a separate being from Marika (as detailed earlier).
  • Radagon has a will different from Marika's. She shatters the ring and he repairs it. She leads the Tarnished to the Erdtree and he bars them from entry.
So to me, this all suggests that he could in fact be a mimic-like being. Mimic tears are described as having their own will after all.
Mimic Tear Ashes - Legendary ashen remains. Use to summon the spirit of a mimic tear. Summoning consumes HP rather than FP. This spirit takes the form of the summoner to fight alongside them, but its mimicry does not extend to imitating the summoner's will. Mimic tears are the result of an attempt by the Eternal City to forge a lord.
Radagon is far more loyal to the Golden Order than Marika is. Marika seems to be a being that seeks power, where Radagon is a being that seeks order and mending.
I don't believe that Radagon is a Mimic Tear exactly. I believe mimic tears, and Albinaurics, are created from Celestial Dew which is either from the stars or the Moon of Nokstella and holds within it residual life. This residual life is likely why the Albinuarics have aliments and why Mimic Tears cannot become true Lords.

https://preview.redd.it/qyu62s5q0t2d1.jpg?width=256&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0b7238299a7458d2e586a658c6f0cb75f0aa5243
Celestial Dew - A hidden Tear found in the Eternal City. Also known as a Night Tear*.*Allows one to carry out an Absolution at the Church of Vows, reversing all antagonizations. Once upon a time, the stars of the night sky guided fate, and this is a recollection of those times.
Ripple Blade - Unique weapon wielded by young Albinaurics, this sword is modelled after the ripples that are thought to be the origin of their species*. Its attack power is greatly enhanced with one's arcane attribute.*
Blue Silver Chainmail - Chainmail armor crafted with blue silver. Worn by the wolf-riding Albinauric archers. Blue silver is a metal born from the same mother as the archers themselves, and provides protection from magic and frost.
Now for this next part we need to take into account these words from Sellen.
"Golden amber contains the remnants of ancient life, and houses its vitality, while glintstone contains residual life, and thus the vitality of the stars."
"That glintstone is the amber of the cosmos, and sorcery is the study of the stars, and the life therein. When you become Elden Lord, please illuminate me. Lay bare the secrets of life which course the Elden Ring."
Radagon does not have aliments of the Albinaurics, that we know of. But we do know he has red hair. Why? Not because he is related to giants, but because he was created using Blessed Dew--the sap of the Erdtree holds within it primordial life--and Marika's own life/blood. Note, when we summon our own mimic in game we use our own life to do so. Marika's life/blood, makes him, her and not her, just as our life/blood makes our mimic, us and not us, having a separate will.
Blessed Dew Talisman - Talisman depicting a drop of the Erdtree's sap, a blessed boon*. Gradually resores HP. It was once thought that the blessed sap of the Erdtree would drip from its boughs forever-but that age of plenty swiftly came to a close, and with time, the Erdtree became more an object of faith.*
Crimson Amber Medallion +2 - A medallion with Crimson amber inlaid. Vastly boosts maximum HP. The Erdtree's old sap becomes amber, treasured as the most precious of jewels in the age of Godfrey, the first Elden Lord. A primordial life energy resides inside.
I think the Fire Giants have red hair because they are born from primordial life, before the Erdtree, and it is why we also see the Lion-like Misbegotten with red hair, the Crucible is primordial life, after all.
Crucible Knot Talisman - A talisman fashioned from a bony knot that embodies that aspects of various creatures. Said to have grown on the human body long ago. Reduces damage and impact of headshots taken. A vestige of the crucible of primordial life. Born partially of devolution, it was considered a signifier of the divine in ancient times, but is now increasingly disdained as an impurity as civilization has advanced.
We also know that Marika has ties to the Numen, who are likely the ancestors of the Nox, if not the Nox themselves. So, she would likely have knowledge of the mimic tear creation practices, as well.
Black Knife Armor - Scale armor used by the Black Knife Assassins, forged to make no sound. Traces of power yet remain in its concealing veil, which muffles the sound of footsteps. The assassins that carried out the deeds of the Night of the Black Knives were all women, and rumored to be Numen who had close ties with Marika herself.
So in essence, Radagon is a Mimic Tear not created by Celestial Dew, but using the Primordial Life that courses through the Erdtree. Marika succeeded in making a lord where where the Nox failed because the use of primordial life rather than residual life.
Well, that's all I got. I could just be totally unhinged, I know. I mean I have my own crazy theory as to why Marika sent Radagon to Caria in the first place. So he could take some of the essence of the Rot Goddess that is literally beneath the Caria Royal Academy and as well as make off with some of the essence of the Ancestral Spirits. Why? To create two demi-god empyrean offspring that could help aid the wanning power of the Erdtree. Two offspring that would be gods of rebirth. But that's neither here nor there. I just needed to get this out there before the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC completely destroys every theory I've ever had about Elden Ring. lol

A Blasphemous Affair (PART 2): How Marika became the Gloam-Eyed Queen to hunt a Soulless King

The one who walks alongside flame, Shall one day meet the road of Destined Death*.*
Hewg tells you explicitly that he is being kept in chains by the Roundtable, probably Gideon, the All Knowing who appears to be in charge of the current Roundtable.
Hewg: "I see you've noticed the chains. Nothing special. I'm a prisoner, and these are my chains***. I'm trapped by the Hold, undying, smithing for you fools. That's all there is to it****".*

Not only is there no gender mentioned for the child, which further dilutes the possabilities for who she could be talking about, it doesn't mention anything about being unwanted.
But the word here for 'Offspring' is 'こ', meaning child or offshoot (as in a plant). We know that at least Godrick is not her direct child. So something weird is going on here. It could be that they are all her descendants or children in a more generic sense such as adopted children or immediate family.
Lhutel sacrificed her life so that in Death she could continue to protect a soulless demigod until their revival*, earning her the hero's honor of Erdtree Burial.*

The Elephant, or shall we say the 'Beast' on the room, is of course the demise of the Gloam-Eyed Queen. This is not helped by the fact that when you exmine the Japanese on items regarding Maliketh, they are often much more ambiguous than the English version.

Conclusions

So ends this theory write up. many of you may be wondering, "Okay, but how does Radagon fit into the theory? Or Godfrey? Or Godwyn? Or Messmer? Or Rennala? Or etc." Unfortunately I will have to address all of that in my next post, as this one became too long.
Initially I was going to include all of these characters, because I feel I have enough evidence to do so and broaden the scope significantly. However, I felt it was better to narrow this theory to Marika alone. Thank you for reading, I hope you will consider this theory seriously.
