 | Some of you may remember this thread from 2 months ago when I reported the site had gone from position 55 to position 16 in 3 months utilizing backlinks. submitted by GrumpySEOguy to grumpyseoguy [link] [comments] I wanted to show you where it is now. Today it is in position 8 (and 9, see below). This client is a literal expert, a professional in his field, and well-known IRL. But regardless of this EEAT (easily verifiable if this was a ranking factor, which it's not), his website was not ranking. Because EEAT is not a ranking factor. Their content is excellent. There are pictures, videos, great, long posts, etc. But even so, his website was not ranking. Because great content is not a ranking factor. IF EEAT AND CONTENT WERE RANKING FACTORS, HE WOULD ALREADY BE RANKING WELL. It was not until we built backlinks and increased the authority that it started to see an increase in rankings. We handled this client the same as any client. We began with an assessment to see what was different between him and his competition (the sites ranking at the top). From this assessment we were able to collect the information we needed to build backlinks. We decided it would make sense for us to work together and commenced backlink building. Then, as you observe from the charts, his website started improving in rank. I want to be very clear about this. Despite being an expert, a popular professional who literally had to go university for a long time to achieve his credentials, if you understand my meaning, despite being in business for more years than most, despite having more expertise than most in the field, HIS WEBSITE WAS NOT RANKING (because EEAT is not a ranking factor -- this is explained in episode 46). His articles are exceptional. The are long (doesn't matter), have videos (doesn't matter), and helpful pictures (doesn't matter). Despite his great content, HIS WEBSITE WAS NOT RANKING (because great content is not a ranking factor -- this is explained in episode 45). We did not touch his content. He is the expert. Not us. There is no way I, or anyone on my team, could have written better content than he can. But even with his great content, he wasn't ranking. Content is for humans, not for search engines. But writing content is not an SEO agency's job, anyway. Contrary to the grifters who charge you massive amounts for "great content," it's not going to make you rank. Here's something you might not know. Not only are we ranking his website locally (not "local SEO" just local results in NY), but also nationally. All charts from serpfox. Despite heaps of EEAT and great content, he was in position 55. With backlinks, he's now in position 8 and 9. We did the same method I teach in my podcast for free. Most SEO agencies would try to make content changes, which would not have done anything. We understand that content does not rank, and authority does rank, so we build authority on his already wonderful (but not ranking) content. Haters gonna hate, clients gonna rank. |

I live in Baldwin park and am absolutely sick of the gun violence. Last night was the 9th shooting in the past two months. There were 23 round popped off on my block. That happened like 30 minutes after the shooting at 39 and habersham.
For the past 4 years it has been off the charts with the gun violence. The local news rarely reports unless a person is hit in the shooting.
When we hear gun shots (which is frequently) I immediately scour Reddit, twitter, Facebook neighborhood groups, and our Baldwin park neighborhood text threads, and listen to the scanner.
But there is not one centralized group or site to immediately check or report to. So I created a new public group on Facebook solely dedicated to gun violence in Chatham County (shockingly there isn’t one).
If you look at crimes maps it doesn’t show a fraction of what is going on.
If you are like me and want a centralized reference then join my group on facebook-

 | Yesterday I asked the younger Millennials what their most 90s song was. I spent my day not doing my actual job and tallied those votes. This is what we got. submitted by Underfyre to Millennials [link] [comments] 45 was a convenient cut off since 5-votes section goes to 57. Who ends at 57? It would appear that Semi-Charmed Life is unmistakably the most 90s song, followed closely by The Sign and MMMBop. The list was 314 songs deep with a lot of single mentions. It would have been longer, but there were a few single-mention songs that were so far out of left field that I knew they didn't stand a chance by the time I encountered them. By the time I stopped at was at 1041 votes/mentions. The thread is still going tho. Something interesting was seeing a song from the beginning of the decade (1991), Smells like Teen Spirit, being right next to a song that closed out the decade (1999), Baby One More Time. On the one side you have a song that changed the musical landscape for the entire decade, then at the other end you have a song that took everything from the decade and turned it into one of the best selling singles of all time. Further down you'll see a lot of the One-Hit-Wonders. Semisonic, New Radicals, Macarena, OMC, Len, Aqua, Marcy's Playground, Natalie Imbruglia. You would think that Chumbawumba would have been higher, but it seems you would also be wrong. They didn't quite break the top 10. These one hit wonders were absolute power houses of their time. Who else was shook when they found out Torn was a cover? I was surprised Marilyn Manson and Rob Zombie weren't mentioned. Celine Dion only one song mentioned, even though she had several hit songs through the 90s. Some folks threw out one hit wonders that also dominated the charts, but were seemingly forgotten to time. Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm by Crash Test Dummies was mentioned 4 times. You would think something as iconic as that song would have been higher up. Some people had no concept of time and threw in a lot of stuff from the mid 2000s. Some people threw in stuff from the 80s. I kind of kept tabs on those, but they were all one offs, so they were irrelevant. Anyway, I need to go home. Time to wrap this up. Thanks for everyone's input. |

I handwrote some of my notes to pass the 13 hours which is why there are ??? when I couldn't read my own writing/abbreviations. Note that not all titles were available on all flights, and my list is missing a chunk of them (especially titles beginning with "S" for some reason). Hope someone finds it useful! Maybe someone will get to creating a Letterboxd list of them all before me!

La faccio breve. Un mio parente ha risposto ad un post di una "influencer" (ragazza che usa onlyfans per divulgare materiale hot) su Threads, con un meme che sostanzialmente le da della "donna da marciapiede", usando un termine ovviamente più colorito.
Di tutti i commenti sotto quel posto, la quasi totalità esprime la stessa opinione (parliamo di piu di 2k commenti).
Arriva una lettera da un avvocato, che richiede un risarcimento di 5000€ (cifra a cui è arrivato con le Tabelle di Milano (?)) ed invita ad una negoziazione assistita.
Prosegue dicendo che, in assenza di riscontro entro 30 giorni, l'influencer potrebbe adire a vie legali per far valere i suoi diritti.
Ora, so che la lettera di un avvocato non è una querela. E, correggetemi se sbaglio, per querelare, in caso di diffamazione, si ha un termine di 90 giorni. Il commento è stato scritto nel mese di Dicembre 2023. E' possibile quindi escludere un processo penale?
Per quanto riguarda il risarcimento danni, la lettera afferma che il periodo di prescrizione è di 5 anni.
Che fare? E' possibile che gli avvocati abbiamo inviato lettere a raffica per ottenere più risarcimenti possibili? In tal caso, è possibile che davvero proseguano ad avviare migliaia di processi per tutte le offese? Se non si ha la possibilità di negoziare, come ci si comporta?
Specifico che il mio parente ha già cancellato il commento e inviato una mail di scuse all'avvocato (il quale ha risposto che le scuse, sebbene apprezzate dall'influencer, in assenza di altro non sono sufficienti).

La faccio breve. Un mio parente ha risposto ad un post di una "influencer" (ragazza che usa onlyfans per divulgare materiale hot) su Threads, con un meme che sostanzialmente le da della "donna da marciapiede", usando un termine ovviamente più colorito.
Di tutti i commenti sotto quel posto, la quasi totalità esprime la stessa opinione (parliamo di piu di 2k commenti).
Arriva una lettera da un avvocato, che richiede un risarcimento di 5000€ (cifra a cui è arrivato con le Tabelle di Milano (?)) ed invita ad una negoziazione assistita.
Prosegue dicendo che, in assenza di riscontro entro 30 giorni, l'influencer potrebbe adire a vie legali per far valere i suoi diritti.
Ora, so che la lettera di un avvocato non è una querela. E, correggetemi se sbaglio, per querelare, in caso di diffamazione, si ha un termine di 90 giorni. Il commento è stato scritto nel mese di Dicembre 2023. E' possibile quindi escludere un processo penale?
Per quanto riguarda il risarcimento danni, la lettera afferma che il periodo di prescrizione è di 5 anni.
Che fare? E' possibile che gli avvocati abbiamo inviato lettere a raffica per ottenere più risarcimenti possibili? In tal caso, è possibile che davvero proseguano ad avviare migliaia di processi per tutte le offese? Se non si ha la possibilità di negoziare, come ci si comporta?
Specifico che il mio parente ha già cancellato il commento e inviato una mail di scuse all'avvocato (il quale ha risposto che le scuse, sebbene apprezzate dall'influencer, in assenza di altro non sono sufficienti).

Got my TrueCharts QBittorrent app setup. All is working nicely along with the VPN access etc... Only thing is that when it downloads files and I try to Delete, Move or Rename them afterwards I get a permissions error. I've also ensured I've deleted the torrent file from running in QBittorrent prior to trying these things.
I'm connecting to the folder it downloads to via SMB as a share and I know my user has the right permissions as I can create, copy and rename other files in there that aren't torrents downloaded by QBittorrent. When I shutdown the QBittorrent application it lets me then edit them.
It's almost like it locks the file for editing even though it's not actively open in the app.
Anyone have any resolutions on it? The only post I could find is this one and I've posted there but it seems like a dead thread.

Ciao a tutti, con questo thread volevo cercare delle risposte a diversi miei dubbi in merito al mio percorso universitario, oltre che accogliere qualsiasi consiglio, purché costruttivo e non offensivo, ci tengo a sottolinearlo, grazie.
Prima mi presento velocemente, sono un ragazzo di 21 anni appena compiuti, mi sono immatricolato ad Agosto 2022 a Scienze dell'Amministrazione e dell'organizzazione: questo percorso mira a sviluppare diverse competenze in ambito giuridico, economico, e storico-sociologico. Devo dire la verità, mi sono iscritto in fretta e furia, senza ragionarci, ma attratto più dal ''Amministrazione'' nel nome del percorso che dall'effettivo piano di studi che, però, tuttavia, mi ha riservato una sorpresa: ho scoperto una piacevole propensione (in termini di continuità) nello studio del diritto, ho iniziato ad appassionarmi alla magistratura specialmente, ispirato dai miti dell'antimafia Falcone e Borsellino (anche per via dell'attaccamento alla mia terra).
I miei dubbi arrivano qui, io ormai sono al secondo anno, presto inizierò la mia fase conclusiva del percorso e mi chiedo se effettivamente voglio continuare e poi iscrivermi a giurisprudenza solo e soltanto per avere 1) una laurea molto più spendibile 2) per provare ad inseguire il mio sogno di carriera in magistratura. Se optassi per questo con tutta probabilità proverei con Unimarconi, mi permetterebbe di coniugare il mio obbligo lavorativo (sì, lavoro e non posso lasciarlo, questo mio impegno non mi pesa settimanalmente più di tanto, circa 24h e mi serve anche per pagarmi il materiale). Altrimenti l'altra opzione sarebbe proprio fare subito il passaggio di carriera, ma ciò che mi frena è che io comunque questo percorso di studi volente o nolente mi piacerebbe concluderlo.
Voi cosa dite? Chiaramente so cosa mi aspetta, so che lo studio del diritto che io faccio non è sicuramente paragonabile a quello che si fa a giurisprudenza, ma di questo ne sono pienamente consapevole, l'idea purtroppo di essere in una sorta di limbo mi tormenta e vorrei uscirne al più presto con una decisione concreta, infatti sto chiedendo dappertutto per avere una panoramica a 360°.

Don't know if this has been brought up, but the discussion on the thread about Tony fighting Red Ivan (or whatever we're calling him) got me thinking--why was it only after the appearance of Iron Man, and Tony's announcement, did all this weird crap start happening? I mean, there was NYC '12, The Snappening in 2018, and The Upstate UnSnappening last year when the Avengers fought off an alien goddamn invasion. There's Mr. Weirdo or whoever that used to be a surgeon (maybe?) that uses magic. Then there's at least two actual gods running around, plus a bunch of neo-human Asgardians just hanging out around Norway.
I'm just wondering if anyone has any decent theories as to why none of this happened until Tony Stark said, "I'm a Superhero, deal with it."

In the Mercedes fluid chart thread, a couple people mentioned the horrible current part number for pink coolant: 000-989-68-07-09-0109. But at least it's all numbers, unlike transmission fluid: 000-989-44-04-11-FULW. Sure, the previous part numbers are shorter, but still 8-10 digits long.
So, create a short fake part number, add it to the system, and supersede it to the new number. I can't take credit for this idea, it came from a genius Parts Manager I had years ago.
Our part number for pink coolant? P. Part number "P" supersedes to the current monstrosity. Our number for blue coolant? You guessed it, B.
Our brake fluid: BF
Silicone sealant: FIPG
Wanna keep your oil inventory straight between bulk and quart bottles? We use BK540, QT540, BK530, QT530, etc. The possibilities are endless! With this technique, by the end of a 40-year parts career you could save literally minutes of time!
Note: You may have to mark the shortcut number as "no update" in your DMS to keep it from dropping out.
