I’m not a stranger to the single player campaigns in Real-Time Strategy (RTS) games, even when it’s a genre I’m not really any good at. In the early 2000s, I’ve played all the Age of Empires games, Age of Mythology, Rise of Nations, Stronghold 1 and, more relevant to this review, Warcraft 3 and its expansion. A decade later and inspired by the announcements of the, then upcoming, Warcraft Movie, I played the campaigns of Warcraft 1 & 2 and, right after, the original Starcraft (SC1) and Brood War. This was at some point in 2014. Of these older Blizzard games, I liked SC1 the most, even when I only remember some simple things from it: the zerg were my favorite species to play with, Sarah Kerrigan (the Queen of Blades) was a good tragic character, Zeratul was a cool name and Arcturus Mengsk was a bastard that didn’t have his comeuppance in neither the base game or Brood War.
And here we are, in 2024, and I’m finally playing the complete Starcraft 2 (SC2) trilogy. For the first-timers, SC2 is a space-opera RTS with 3 big species colliding in conflict: the Terrans (space humans), the Zerg (the bad aliens, dominated by an “overmind” telepathically, with this leader being, due to the events of SC1, Sarah Kerrigan) and the Protoss (the honorable good aliens, that are also connected to each other with their minds, but nobody dominates anyone in particular). Wings of Liberty (WoL) - 2010 -

The starting campaign is all about the Terrans (humans), putting you in the role of Jim Raynor, a survivor from the first game. First thing I noticed was that the graphics showed their age a little bit, with the worst part being the heavily-compressed CGI cutscenes. Over the years, I’ve seen other people play this game and it always looked incredible, even as late as in 2018. Well, it didn’t look incredible anymore but the graphics were just fine. The good thing is that the art style was strong enough to make the less-than-ideal textures and animations still shine. Also, the production values were excellent all around.
Anyway, as soon as I got used to the graphics, I discovered a big positive aspect of SC2. I quickly fell in love with the new ship hub between missions. Instead of a decorated simple menu (like Age of Empires or Stronghold), you were presented with different rooms inside a spaceship, and you could talk to characters, spend money to upgrade your army and see a small in-engine cutscene or two before the next objective. This hub is where the majority of the storytelling happened and I’d love to see more RTS do something like this.
The campaign was an excellent tutorial for newbies (like me!), as every mission was focused on a single new playable unit at a time, and they kept adding more and more of these units in future missions, until you were using most of them seamlessly by the endgame.
I started playing with the “Normal” difficulty but soon settled with “Casual” because the game wouldn’t…

Stop rushing me

I found out that what seemed like a substantial portion of the missions put you on a timer, one way or another. Either you had something that was going to explode or the enemy’s faction was destroying an important installation or you had to hold on until reinforcements arrived. More often than not, the game would pressure you to finish the mission as soon as possible and I didn’t like that. My favorite missions in RTS are always the ones without a time limit, where maybe there are never-ending hordes of enemies coming at you at regular intervals but if you survive, you can get stronger for as long as you want and you are the one to decide when it’s time to attack a particular fortress and move on. Well, in all fairness, SC2 had some missions like that but it usually defaulted to rushing you. And I like to play at a relaxed pace and the great thing here, for a noob like me, is that I was able to complete the totality of SC2 without cheats because the “Casual” difficulty allowed me to win every level with ease, even with the aforementioned time limit.
Most missions usually were just about 20 to 30 minutes long, so moving through the campaign was a very breezy affair once you’ve adjusted the difficulty to your liking.
What about the story in WoL? Well, first, I had to open up wikis every time a character other than Mengks, Kerrigan, Raynor or Zeratul came to the screen because I couldn’t remember any of them from SC1, let alone all the particular factions besides the big species. Second, the overall plot was a touch weird: the story started with Raynor plotting his revenge against Emperor Mengsk, the big bad from SC1, and somewhere towards the middle, the story turned into a quest to de-zerg our favorite Queen of Blades. By the end of this game, Raynor felt no closer to beat Mengsk but now his human-again “darling” Sarah Kerrigan was back. I don’t know about you guys, but the whole story was a bit meandering, with many supporting characters that didn’t amount to much in the long run. It all started as a human campaign against the evil emperor and it soon turned into a Zerg matter, which all lead us to the real…

Heart of the Swarm (HotS) - 2013 -

The Queen of Blades doesn’t spend too much time being human before she returns to her usual Zerg form again. Now, that’s a very flexible body that can withstand anything.
This time around, we controlled the Zerg, from the point of view of Sarah Kerrigan. This campaign was, just like in SC1, my favorite in terms of gameplay. There’s something about the Zerg that appeals to my lame RTS skills. The strategy of overwhelming the enemy with way more units that they can handle always works best with the Zerg, the species you can count on to throw a gazillion disposable minions at your enemies.
Also, Blizzard decided to improve the way you unlock upgrades to your armies. Now you can choose perks or special units and change them anytime you are in your returning hub area, instead of spending limited money that you’d never get back, like in WoL. I found myself experimenting a lot more with the multiple units and trying most options thanks to the new easier way to upgrade. And I thought the graphics improved a little bit, which was something nice to see.
This campaign had more solo missions, when you were just controlling Kerrigan or a bunch of hero units, without any base building. These were always fun to do and you could relax and focus on the voices and grand speeches.
And speaking of voices, starting with this campaign we got a lot more of what I wanted to see from day one with SC2: characters with excellent post-processed voices with cool one-liners and badass postures. Everyone had an interesting sound here, from Abathur, moving through the Queen of Blade’s assistant Izsha with her bedroom eyes and other allies like Zagarah, the reluctant brood mother, or some surprising returning characters from SC1. The terrans in WoL were too human, too “normal”, even when some of them had cool voices. I wanted to hear unrealistic deep and alien sounds, instead, and HotS delivered that in spades. For other examples of games with voice acting like this, I always think about the Darksiders series and this particular trailer for World of Warcraft.
I wouldn’t say HotS was a better story than WoL but it was certainly more entertaining to me. There was a good amount of dubious stuff that you had to ignore to keep enjoying the premise, like when they found the original “primal” Zerg, and these beings called themselves “primal Zerg”. This is like the Aztecs and Mayas calling themselves “indians” or “native americans”. It doesn’t work like that. And something else that doesn’t quite work that I realized while reading wikis… wasn’t Sarah Kerrigan sort of a bad guy at the end of SC1? I think that these new games rewrote the way the protagonists see her and she’s very easily redeemed in the eyes of Jim Raynor and the rest. Hell, Raynor ended SC1 saying he’d be the one to kill her and now she was his “darling” again? And to keep up with this redemption arc, the Queen of Blades is the one to finally put an end to Mengsk’s life, in a bit of poetic justice.
And of course, there was a new big bad called Amon, that is barely present here, but hey, it’s a good excuse to make Kerrigan not only a full Zerg again, but also evolve with the powers of the Primal Zerg. She had to be ready for whatever was going to happen in…

Legacy of the Void (LotV) - 2015 -

Probably the best campaign, even when playing as Protross wasn’t as exciting for me as playing with Zergs (poor terrans were always a distant third). Blizzard kept all the improvements of HotS in terms of visual and gameplay upgrades and we still had these excellent ship hubs to talk to everyone relevant to the campaign. And the voices here were top-notch! There were lots and lots of fantastic post-processed voice acting, including a character voiced by no other than John de Lancie of Q’s fame (Star Trek: The Next Generation).
I think they reached the best balance between missions where you played with heroes, missions that rushed you and missions that allowed you to play for as long as you want. Also, you’d get to play as Terrans and Zergs in the finale, too! A terrific way to close this trilogy and the franchise, as a whole.
Now, the story itself veered too much into the fantasy realm, particularly by the final levels. Suddenly, this Amon being was an unstoppable force of nature by itself, so you didn’t need political intrigue anymore. Every faction had to unite against him or die and then, the only way to really defeat Amon was for Sarah Kerrigan to evolve once more (this time into a Xel’Naga) and fight against him.
I enjoyed the whole journey, but the Queen of Blades turning super Saiyan/a golden angel to save the day felt a lot more like something that’d happen in Warcraft than this particular sci-fi universe. Knowing the full story now, I’d say (from what I remember) SC1 and Brood War were more about politics and the big picture and more sci-fi in detriment of the characters and SC2 was much more character-driven and with a story that leaves its own genre behind, by the end (prophecies, eldritch beings that defied the whole galaxy, Sarah Kerrigan becoming a sort of goddess). I’d say SC1 was more serious and believable but it left me feeling a bit cold, a decade ago, and this game, on one hand, was much sillier and with a heavy dose of fantasy in the depiction of the main events but, on the other hand, it felt more personal and warmer. I see myself replaying SC2 in a few years from now, just for the crazy adventure.
TL;DR: All in all, the SC2 trilogy was very entertaining and if you never played it before don’t hesitate to give it a try. It’s very welcoming for newcomers of the RTS genre, the story is bananas but it’s never boring, the production values are really strong, even when 14, 11 and 8 years had passed since the release date of each episode. I’m really glad I could finally complete this part of gaming history. And now, it’s your turn.

By now, you’ll no doubt have made headway through the latest Operation in Halo Infinite —titled “Banished Honor”—which was accompanied by a new Waypoint Chronicle based around a simple question: “What would the story of a Spartan who joined the Banished be?”
We had the perfect character lined up to tell that story, one who hasn’t been seen since the end of Hunt the Truth's second season all the way back in 2015.

THE THIRD LIFE

Our ninth Waypoint Chronicle has arrived, which follows on from the concluding events of Hunt the Truth where a Guardian awakens on the colony world Laika III. Broadly, these events are concurrent with the story that unfolds in Halo 5 as Cortana lays claim to the Mantle, rallies AIs to her cause, and sets about imposing an imperial peace upon the galaxy.
Where Hunt the Truth saw the mantle of narrator pass from journalist Benjamin Giraud to undercover ONI agent Maya “FERO” Sankar in its second season, that torch is once again passed on to a character who made her presence felt in this story... the rogue Spartan known as Ilsa Zane.

Last issue, we gave you a totally legitimate look at the cover art of Halo: Empty Throne. Art is in the eye of the beholder, and unfortunately the powers that be decided that we could do better than a screenshot made in Halo 3's Forge mode in ten minutes with some crudely edited-in elements... it was a close call, really, but we ultimately pivoted towards something with the vibe of it having come from an incredibly talented and brilliant artist—namely, Will Staehle, whose other work you can check out here.

Born on the Outer Colony world Kholo, Ilsa Zane was just eleven years old when she lost her parents and everyone she had ever known as the Covenant descended upon her home and reduced its surface to glass. Taken to the remote colony Asphodel as a ward of the state, Zane remained largely silent and solitary until coming of age in 2547, where she was conscripted into UNSC military service.
In 2550, Zane was selected as a candidate for the prototype phase of the SPARTAN-IV program. Though she survived the augmentation process, additional experimental cocktails caused severe neurological damage to Zane. After escaping the facility, she was recovered by Admiral Mattius Drake and integrated into the rebel group known as the New Colonial Alliance.
In the immediate aftermath of the Covenant War, Zane led a group of operatives who attempted to commandeer the UNSC Infinity —securing it as the flagship of the New Colonial Alliance and to prevent the UNSC from deploying it to police independent colonies. This plan was thwarted by Spartan Sarah Palmer, who ejected Zane into space where the rogue Spartan was once more rescued by Drake, who was on standby in a nearby Prowler.
Following this, Zane served as an acquisitions specialist for weapons and materiel, as well as a ruthless instructor for mercenary and rebel groups that joined the New Colonial Alliance, forging them into a veritable fighting force in preparation for a large-scale strike against the UNSC. However, the awakening of the Guardians in 2558 waylaid these plans, leaving Zane as a prisoner of the Banished—with whom she ultimately came to find both common cause and brotherhood.

What does it mean to be Banished?
To be Banished is to seek to liberate oneself, to pledge loyalty not to false promises of divine ascension but to the fearsome might and will exemplified by Atriox.
Service is welcome from any species, of any previous affiliation or loyalty—from the lowliest Unggoy thrall to the mightiest Sangheili warrior, and all between and beyond.
Power is its own end. In the wake of the Covenant War, opportunity is rife to carve up the remnants of the fallen empire’s vast resources and obtain technology that furthers the prime directive of the Banished: to never bow again, a “reclamation” all their own of freedom.
Following decades of calamitous conflict that has left even the most capable commanders war-weary, it is the Banished that are energized and fortified in purpose and will. Payment for those who share common cause with Atriox comes in blood and sport and spoils.
But those who would choose this path must unshackle themselves from ties to the past—unbind themselves from old masters, cast off their piety, and banish their sentimental devotion to honor.
Only then can one become a true vessel for victory.
Only then is one truly Banished.

Why would a Spartan go rogue?
It’s an apt question. After all, Spartans are meant to represent paragons of humanity in both strength and spirit. But across the generations of Spartans, there have been traitors, rebels, or those who simply wanted to leave the UNSC behind to live on their own terms.
For the Spartan-IIs, these examples came as a result of their training—of recognizing and rebelling against the horrific context of their situation.
In the “Homecoming” episode of Halo Legends, Daisy-023 and several of her fellow candidates sought to escape the program following the augmentation procedures that killed or maimed many of their brothers and sisters, but were ultimately brought back into the fold.
Likewise, in the Halo: Evolutions short story “Pariah,” Soren-066 was left disfigured by the augmentations and was gradually radicalized by a technician named Partch, eventually attempting to escape Reach and join the Insurrection. Indeed, the Spartan who sought to apprehend Soren was Randall-037, who later appeared in Halo: Nightfall where we learned that he had evaded the UNSC after the Battle of Vodin in 2532, even starting a family before ONI eventually caught up to him over a decade later, "reversing" many of his augmentations in exchange for release from UNSC service.
Looking to the Spartan Field Manual, originally released back in 2018, we can gain further insight into the risk of rogue Spartans as it applies to the SPARTAN-IV program:
STOLEN GAUNTLET
Nevertheless, the SPARTAN-IV selection process is not foolproof. Spartan-IVs are soldiers with preexisting philosophies and loyalties, and even the most carefully screened candidate can react to their augmentation and training in unexpected ways. Individual Spartans represent a strategically significant level of combat power and pose a major security threat if their loyalty is compromised.
The STOLEN GAUNTLET fail-safe protocol has been created to provide training and permissive rules of engagement for special agents tasked with tracking down and swiftly neutralizing rogue Spartans.

Ilsa Zane represents the earliest example of this manifesting as a critical issue for the Spartan-IV program, and she is far from a singular example.
In Halo: Escalation, we see Spartan Vladimir Scruggs—another New Colonial Alliance defector—attempt to sabotage the peace talks between Arbiter Thel ‘Vadam and Chieftain Lydus.
Another prominent example is Michael Crespo in Halo: New Blood, who became disillusioned with being sent to kill other humans in the wake of the Covenant War and defected to the United Rebel Front with fellow Spartan Rudolf Schein.
Of course, defecting is one thing, but what is it about the Banished that would be attractive to a rogue Spartan? That is something wholly contingent upon the individual, and at present there is a specific example we can examine: Ilsa Zane.
Having been discarded by the UNSC after falling victim to experimental augmentation cocktails that ravaged her body and mind, she was eventually left for dead by Admiral Drake as well—she was herself “banished” from the places she had sought to belong. This, in combination with her proclivity for violence and a ruthless mindset, led her to discover a certain kinship with the Jiralhanae on Laika III, leading her to willingly pledge herself and the New Colonial Alliance to the Banished.
In the words of Spartan Scruggs: "I am a Spartan. But what you fight for isn't always the same as who you fight for."

ARMORY INFINITUM

The Ravager was a new weapon introduced to the sandbox in Halo Infinite, though it made its fictional debut in Halo: Shadows of Reach.

Featuring a semi-automatic, three-round burst and a charge ability that can create a burning pool for area-of-effect damage, the Ravager quickly became a favorite tool of Jiralhanae warlords for its capacity to flush out garrisoned infantry.
A unique version of the weapon, the Rebound Ravager, can be found in the possession of Captain Arthoc—a high value target the Master Chief encountered on Zeta Halo. Rounds fired by this weapon have the ability to bounce, to which the words of Agent Washington from Red vs. Blue may come to mind: “It bounces? Who designs a gun that bounces?!”

ARMORY OF RECKONING CAPT ARTHOC FWD: RAVAGER
The Armory of Reckoning—it is a fitting name for the tools of conquest and destruction birthed from its forges.
When we advanced on the human remnants that had sought shelter within their crashed ship, I requested of Commander Bannix an augmented version of the plasma tossers produced by the Forge of Torograd.
Where we have mastered both spike and spear in our weaponry since before the Immolation, infusion matter remains an object of study for our alchemists. I was informed by the Screecleaver that there is a great savant stationed on Oth Liqattu who has sought to unlock further secrets of this fetid power, applying it to our own troops and many of our vehicles.
It is said that prolonged exposure to this corrosive bile can addle the mind and rot the body... that is good, for there are many small spaces in human ships. MERIDIAN SLOANCOMING

Last month saw the arrival of Halo: Battle Born's rerelease, featuring two new short story “adjuncts” which we took a closer look at in our previous issue.
On April 30, the rerelease of Halo: Meridian Divide hit the shelves and—as folks have noticed—there's another adjunct in this one as well!
MERIDIAN HOMECOMING

Completing the trifecta of new adjuncts in these rereleases is “Meridian Homecoming,” which is set in the immediate aftermath of Cortana’s final sacrifice on Zeta Halo in December 2559.
With the leader of the Created dead, the future of this fledgling faction has been thrown into doubt. High Auxiliary Sloan has returned to Meridian where he occupies a Promethean Knight’s carapace and wanders the vast glasslands of his home to find his own fate.
Of course, fans who followed the Precipice short story series last year (which accompanied Halo Infinite's recurring FIREWALL events) know that Sloan has emerged as a new leader within the Created and set into motion the creation of the Executors. “Meridian Homecoming” gives us a small moment in time with Sloan as he contemplates what the concept of home means to him, Cortana’s unfulfilled promise of salvation, his regrets over how he departed from Meridian, and the memories held within a Promethean Knight that set him on a new path.

I’m legally changing my name.
{ Just to kinda emphasize- since all suggestions seem to be first names. I’m mostly looking for LAST since I can easily do without a middle name and I’m fine keeping my first. }
But I have no idea what to go with.
My reason for changing it is because my brother(who I have a restraining order against) keeps finding my address, number, etc using my name. The victims advocate at the court recommended changing my name. Since my only attachment to my name is my boyfriend being used to referring to me by it, I’m down to change it- he can adapt.
I’m mostly focused on middle and last name. But open to suggestions for first name too- if there’s something that suits me better I’ll change it.
For reference- my first name is (at least currently) Marie. I was adopted and raised by a Jewish Ukrainian mother, so I’d be fine with something nodding to her but definitely not required.
I don’t know my actual heritage but I look Irish (pale, green eyes, freckles)
I don’t want anything complicated or long (I’m considering skipping a middle name all together). Prefer not insanely unique (interesting/weird is fine). No brand, famous, or character names. But also not extremely common (I already spent 29 years dealing with “oh that’s my{insert 5 female friends/relatives} middle name” {insert eye roll})

Hello everyone! First of all, I know this post is really long, but I would be very happy if someone would read it and give me some advice. I want to apologize if I made any mistakes. English isnt my first language and I am still learning it, so there might be some grammar or spelling mistakes. I also dont want to hurt or put anyone in a bad light and I understand that this is a difficult situation, but I really need some advice, because I dont know if what I did was wrong.
Lets get started. I (15 f) am in 10th Grade right now. There is this girl, lets call her maya (16 f), who is in my class and has been since 1. Grade. Ever since I got to high school, she (and some other people, but I wont go into that) and another girl, lets call her Sarah (16 f) used to bully me. They made fun of me, called me names, stole my stuff and spread rumors about me. Maya always made fun of me for being skinny, which made no sense, because yeah, I was skinny, but not unhealthy or very extremely skinny. She herself was always a bit bigger and visibly a bit overweight. She also made fun of me for having pimples, while having one pimple max in my face, while she had an extreme case of acne. She always found her way to make fun of everything I did, said, or owned. My life was basically a living hell, I cried every morning when I had to go to school, to a point where I threw up when my parents told me, that I couldn’t stay home.
I never said anything back, when she made fun of me, because I was rather shy and didn’t know how to defend myself that well. Because of those two, my other classmates also started to make fun of me, and avoid me. It was honestly a really low point in my life, as I also had a bad home life and the bullying made everything worse. I was around 12- 13 year old at that time and I was seriously thinking about just ending it all, because it was too much and I couldn’t take it anymore.I attempted multiple times, by taking overdo$es of pills, but I always woke up after. No one knows about that, because I’m embarrassed. I also suffered from various types of $h and never really got any help, because my parents didn’t really believe in mental illnesses and all that. I eventually pulled myself out of that hole and got clean by myself and started to push through everything. Well, about one and a half years ago, maya was send to the hospital, because she collapsed during PE. Her best friend Sarah, who was sitting next to me in the class after that, because it was assigned that way suddenly started crying and the teacher asked me to take her outside to calm down. I felt bad for her, so I went outside and tried to comfort her somehow. I know she used to be mean to me and was also partly responsible for a lot of bad things I went through, but I couldn’t just leave her there, while she was crying. I didnt really know why she was crying, because she seemed really stressed. I knew she must be worried, because Maya was brought to the hospital, but her reaction was a bit too much for it to be only that. I talked to her for a few minutes and she eventually told me, that Maya didn’t want to eat anymore, because she thought she was too big. I was a bit taken aback by that and asked her why she didn’t tell anyone and she said, that maya had told her, that she wasn’t allowed to tell anyone. I eventually convinced her to tell a teacher, so that they could call mayas parents and maya could get the right treatment, because no one knew about her €d and so they probably wouldn’t be able to help her. Maya stayed in the hospital for a few weeks and Sarah and me started to become friends and I helped her, when she was sad or had any trouble, because of Maya. Maya was away for a while, she wasnt in class for months and was homeschooled for a while and was in the hospital a lot. Due to the disorder, she lot feeling in her legs and couldn’t walk that well for a while. After a while, she came back to school and Sarah and me had been hanging out a lot and were good friends by then. Yes, I know she used to bully me, but I am a very forgiving person and I knew she was also stressed, because of Maya. Maya kept her distance from me and didn’t hang out with Sarah that much either. I was always nice to Maya, I did group projects with her, when she didn’t find a group, I talked to her and since she lives near me, I always asked by brother to drive by her house to pick her up too, when she didn’t have anyone to drive her to parties. I really tried my best to be nice to her, even if she put me through so much. Apparently, she thought otherwise and talked shit about me, including to Sarah. Sarah told me and told me what she said about me. She told sarah, that she didn’t like me, because I was „bad for her mental health, was a toxic person and always wanted to talk about $h“ I want to say, that I never, every talked to her about any of that, and only my parents and 2 of my friends, that have no Contact to Maya know about my former problems with stuff like that. I really dont know why she would think any of that and I dont understand why she would say that. I was kind of hurt by this, because I know how hard it is, to go through all that and it somehow triggered me. I turned to Sarah and told her, that if she really thought that, then I wasn’t sorry, that she ended up in the hospital and I didn’t care.
I know it sounds mean, and I feel bad about it. I was just really mad, hurt and triggered, because she was the reason most of my younger teen years felt like hell. Sarah told Maya what I said, which I also don’t understand, but she told me, that she told maya that, after me and her were in an argument. Maya had told some other people what I said and since they dont know the context or what she did to me, they think I‘m a bully and a-hole. I now feel kind of bad too, since I didn’t want to sound mean or hurt her feeling. So, AITAH and should I apologize to Maya?

Ok , so this is going to be a long one as these events unfolded in about a year or so.
I am a 15 year old female. Lets call my ex Kent . Kent honestly used to be a fun person to be around but then suddenly he decided that he didn't want to come to school. His reasons on why he did it change every time someone asks him. First it was "Oh I oversleep" next it was "My parents wont let me " then it was "I don't like school" it went on for months. We were still dating at the time and I was very concerned for him. However anytime I tried to tell him something related to school he would get super offended and call me stupid and ghost me for hours or days until I apologized.
Me and my best friend (Lets call her Maya) were both close with Kent . There was this other girl (Lets call her Sarah). Sarah used to attend school with us last year and me and Maya both suspected that she had a thing for Kent. She would talk about Kent so much that even her mom thought that they were together. Obviously she would deny it when asked but she gets so defensive that its obvious that she wants Kent.
Kent still refused to come to school and it had been about 3 months since he had stopped coming . he had already missed one of the 4 important exams that we had in a year. Literally everybody was telling Kent he needed to get his act together except for Sarah. Sarah would go around telling everybody that "He just needs time". This was absolutely ridiculous , I mean , it had been 3 months since his first "break from school".
Kent soon became obsessed with self diagnosing himself with every mental disorder under the sun. He used google to self diagnose himself. One day he has depression , next day he has ADHD , the next day he has bipolar , the next day he has multiple personalities . This is the point where I started to resent him, He started acting super "unique" and "quirky". And everybody told him he was being weird , except for Sarah. She kept on going on about how he just needed time or something.
Kent became even more toxic after the self diagnosing thing. He started constantly threatening to break up with me . He even went to Maya once and told her that he was willing to break up with me to date her . Maya , being a literal angel , came and told me immediately. I confronted him and he said that "He was just having a bad day". God knows why I forgave him but I did. After this I was really mad at him for a while and he told Maya that he needs someone to talk to. Maya told him "You can talk to your girlfriend cant you?" .Kent said "Nah I prefer Sarah more" . I'm so lucky to have a friend like Maya who immediately tells me stuff like this.
This went on like this for months. Kent never came back to school . Anytime I would bring up school he would get mad and go "rant" to Sarah who would come and scold me for "being rude". Anytime I would even talk about friends from school he would be like "Oh , that person?? Yeah they are a snake" even if he's never talked to them before. There was a really funny case where I was talking about a good friend of mine to him and he said something like "Oh, them?? Don't you know? She heart Maya really badly". Maya has never once spoken to this girl.
Anytime me and Maya would try to do something on our own he would have to try to join in. One time me and Maya were in a call talking about school . Kent begs to be added to the call so we agree and add him. When he realizes we are talking about school he gets all "Oh , your trying to exclude me." and "No its fine , I'll just cry myself to sleep". That must be his favorite line cause my god . Once I was having a sleepover with Maya on New Year's Eve and I told him about it . He went all "Why didn't you tell me" And "Oh don't worry about me , I'll just cry myself to sleep".
The last straw was when I was playing a game alone . He kept joining my game. I was annoyed so I pretended not to see him because everyone knows , you cant say no to Kent. I told Maya and she offered to join my game to make it look like we were playing together . I agreed and we hopped on a call and chatted while playing the game. The second Kent noticed that Maya was in the game with me he started begging to join the call. We just ignored his messages and he pulled out his classic "I'm going to cry myself to sleep" after spam calling us 18 times. Maya told him we honestly didn't care and to leave us alone. So can you guess who Kent goes to ? That's right Sarah. Sarah told Maya that we were horrible people for excluding Kent like that causing him to self harm. I rolled my eyes because Kent always says he self harmed but he never actually does it. Maya knows this too as she was laughing fit while reading the messages. Also who self harms cause people don't want to play a game without you?
I try to explain everything to Sarah but she doesn't budge. She goes all "You guys are so rude to him for no reason". So then I messaged Kent and told him to stop spreading rumors' about me and Maya. He basically said that he wasn't trying to spread rumors' . Apparently Sarah had told him to tell her if he self harms so he did that. I bluntly stated that his self harm was a manipulation tactic and I'd really like to see if there are actually any scars on his body. If you're wondering how I'm so sure he doesn't self harm , it's because the reasons he gives for self harming are really stupid , example is the game situation.
I eventually get fed up and block Kent . I wake up the next morning and guess what I see, A post of Kent and Sarah hanging out the day after we broke up. At this point I literally didn't care at all for those two so I asked Sarah how her date was. She tried to play it all like I was misunderstanding the situation. I tell her that I know that she has liked Kent for a long time. She called me jealous and I blocked her.
I thought I was done but nope. Maya tells me that Kent had been visiting Sarah's apartment recently and that Sarah's friends had given Kent a dare to go in the females restroom for ten minutes and for some reason he accepted it and for some other reason Sarah went with him. The security guard saw them but they ignored him and locked the door. The security guard went to Sarah's parents and told them everything as well as showed them the footage . The parents were really angry and demanded to look through all their chats. I don't know what they found but they demanded that Sarah cut all contact with Kent . Kent says that they misunderstood something in their messages as them doing stuff in that stall but me and Maya both think that Kent just said some sexual stuff to her and that's what made the parents mad.
Sarah has had to block Kent on everything . I don't know whether I should forgive her because we used to be really good friends before any of this. She has not apologized to me directly but told Maya that she wishes I would unblock her. But I don't think I can ever forget this side of her . For now I'm planning to go no contact with Kent and Sarah. They both say that I'm a toxic jerk and I'm "too quick to judge" but I don't care.
So all that being said , am I the jerk?

I suppose this is a part 2 to my previous post on here. If you haven't read the first part check it out from my profile. I'm gonna tell you right now , this is gonna be a long one so be ready. Long story short my ex was being super toxic and when i broke up with him , this girl (lets call her Sarah) immediately took his side and basically scolded me for breaking up with him. I didn't go into too much detail about Sarah in my previous post so I'll do it now. Sarah used to attend my school about 2 years ago , she changed schools last year but we still remained good friends. Me and by best friend (lets call her Maya) have always suspected that Sarah was into my ex even while we were dating. She would always talk about him to everyone where it was to the point that even her mom thought they were dating. I honestly didnt care much but when by ex started becoming toxic thats when stuff really went from bad to worse. He would say extremely mean stuff to me like he wanted to break up and that he only dated me out of pity and then "vent" to Sarah who would immediately come and scold me for "being toxic".I remember this one time he said he needed someone to talk to and Maya told him something like "go talk to your girlfriend" he said "nah i prefer Sarah more". I thought that maybe my ex was being convincing with his lies so i sent screenshots to Sarah about whatever happened and she would be like "its just a misunderstanding , just forgive him".
The incident that caused me to fully break up and cut contact with my ex was something along the lines of him not letting me have any time alone with my friends (see previous post for context). That time he told Sarah that he would harm himself because "we were ignoring him". Sarah , as always begin to scold me . I got fed up and told her that if she kept supporting a toxic asshole I would block her too. So she stopped , or so i thought. The day after i block my ex , Maya texts me a story that Sarah posted on instagram of her and my ex hanging out . I honestly felt a little sick but after that me and Maya had a laughing fit because the whole thing was so ridiculous . I messaged Sarah and asked her how her date went . She played it all like "oh no it wasnt a date". Sure buddy. Then she had the nerve to ask me if I was jealous of her. I told her I wasnt but I was done with putting up with her and my ex's bs . They were both bad. She kept saying I was just jealous so I just blocked her. I was a bit unsure about this whole thing but then another friend sent me screenshots of my ex saying that he was going to date Sarah but if I agree to date him again (no chance) he would leave Sarah for me and that Sarah had agreed to do this. So that cleared any doubt in my mind.
My ex began to visit Sarah's apartment regularly and the last time he went Sarah's friends dared him to go into a female restroom . For whatever reason he agreed and for an even wilder reason Sarah followed him inside. The security guard saw them but they locked a stall door and stayed inside . My ex told Maya that they were just watching Youtube in the stall , but what happened next makes me thinks thats unlikely. The security guard called up Sarah's parents and told them what happened , Sarah denied it so the security guard showed the CCTV footage. Sarah's parents were supremely pissed . They demanded to call my ex's parents and tell them everything. Sarah kept trying to insist it was just a dare , so there parents went through their chats and I dont know what they found but they were ready to kill my ex. I have no idea how Sarah convinced her parents not to call my ex's parents but somehow she did it. She was forced to delete discord as that was the only app her parents coudnt monitor and she was forced to block my ex on all other platforms.
I guess something happened and she made a new discord account . Maya made a discord server for all her friends and she had sent the invite link in a few group chats. Sarah was in one of them and she joined. I don't know what to do anymore. I wanted to absolutely cut contact with her as well as my ex. I am absolutely sure that if she is here it will only be a matter of time till my ex joins . Even if he doesn't join , I have seen how Sarah truly is now. Should I just forgive her or should I just ignore her. I really don't want to cause any unnecessary drama. What should i do?

Makisupa Policeman - This version features a short jam with nice interplay between Page on the organ and Trey starting after 2:30; it's lilting and pretty. Then it sort of plods along for a few minutes, but a nice second jam emerges at about 5:30. Good -> "Antelope," too.
Timber (Jerry the Mule) - Debut. First version includes a four minute jam before the final verse with that familiar dark vibe to it.
McGrupp and the Watchful Hosemasters - Another early version with a jam following the lyrics and composed sections. This one is quite rocking and has a great vibe to it.

This show featured the debut of Fuck Your Face and the first known Phish performances of Take the 'A' Train, Timber (Jerry), The Ballad of Curtis Loew, and Come On (Part One). 'A' Train featured Jeff Friedberg on saxophone. Two sets of largely improvised music were performed by multiple combinations of musicians, including an improvisational exercise led by Kai Ekhardt and full Everyone Orchestra jams conducted by Tye North. The main participants for the two shows were: Fish (drums); Tony Furtado (banjo, guitar); Kai Ekhardt (bass); Maya Dorn (vocals, guitar); Libby Kirkpatrick (vocals, guitar); Jans Ingber (hand drums, vocals); Matt Butler (drums, vocals); Julia Butterfly Hill (poetry); Tye North (conducter, bass, guitar); John Whooley (saxophone); Damian Erskine (bass); Asher Fulero (keyboards, DJ); and Scott Law (guitar). Special guests for this performance were Stephen Kent (didgeridoo) and Merry Prankster Ken Babbs (poetry, trombone).
