This mod focuses on adding new features that enhances diplomacy games while promoting strategic alliances. In addition to that each players have randomized war goals and diplomatic cards that can play into their favor as well as changing the outcome of match. 2024.05.22 02:27 Tafila042 Does the work I do abide by US GAAP principles?
This is probably a very dumb question but.
I work in industry (though do the accounting for a 3rd party at a consulting firm) for a company that is not publicly traded so I know that GAAP isnt necessarily required.
I use the accrual method, not cash.
I record all revenues and expenses when incurred for the businesses. So if they receive a prepayment for a 12 month subscription in let's say January, I record revenue for 1 month and put the other 11 months in deferred revenue then move the rest out each month etc. I accrue for payroll if the pay period is at the end of one month and runs into the next.
I produce financials after each month end close that include a balance sheet, income statement with P/L, and statement of cash flows that include the current period and the prior year as well as a supplemental income statement with the prior month. I don't produce a statement of shareholder's equity, though, whenever there is a change in equity (let's say an ownership distribution) I notate that in my distribution notes.
If I need to accrue for let's say a recurring expense like a utility bill that hasnt come in yet, I will look at the prior year for that period as well as the bills for a similar time of year to determine how much to accrue for to eliminate any kind of speculation expense wise. I never forecast or accrue for revenue. All accruals I make are then reversed the next period to wash out that utility bill from let's say January that was received in February.
I record capital leases so that they hit the balance sheet. The loan amount is listed as a liability and I tie out the balance each month following principal/interest payments.
The financials I distribute each period go to the owner's of business as well as the investor that funded the operation. (I know investors / lenders prefer to see financial statements that conform to US GAAP and I regularly send the financials along with credit applications for new leases)
As far as the 10 principles I believe that I am meeting them all as I have the same standards/protocal/reporting that I use for all of the businesses I work with. I strive to produce as accurate as possible and I believe I have impartiality covered since there is no incentive or reward if the client's do well
My work is reviewed by my firm's CPA before distribution but I am not myself a CPA yet.
I ask because I want to be sure the work I am doing complies with US GAAP principles before I add any experience to my resume about performing tasks conforming to the guidelines set forth by GAAP.

Considering returning to study a psychology degree at age 40. I know it takes 6 years to be registered. I have no debt, kids or dependants. I do rent and have a good deal at $390 p/W. Around 250k liquid at the moment.
I am wondering if this is going to screw me in the future? Main reason I am considering return is to do something where I can help people. Work one on one with people and earn a decent wage. The APS recommended rate is $300p/h these days. So when I finish people will likely be charging that or more per session.
I've taken 6 months off from my old job and I'm at a point where I just don't think I can go back to labouring, mining or an office job. I have no qualifications in anything. I've been fortunate in that I have been employed in lots of interesting jobs, but as I've gotten older I don't want to be doing high stress jobs where I am in charge of complex projects or on the tools.

I might include some random pics from throughout the process. If I do they'll be in chronological order. I AM NOT AN EXPERT OR A MECHANIC. I've worked on my own vehicles and worked in the auto industry for some years but I am not a technician nor do I think I am one 😬 This.. this is a tale best told around a moonlight campfire.. for it shall strike fear into anyone who hears it.. 😦 Here's a rundown of all the work done recently on the vehicle : • New power brake booster • New master cylinder • New rotors X4 • New pads front and back • New calipers X4 • New hose / soft lines on calipers X4 • New ABS sensors X4 • New brake light switch • Miscellaneous things like bulbs, wipers, air filter, cabin air filter, oil filter, oil change, gas cap, etc • Replaced all 7 solenoids in transmission, filter, gasket, etc etc Previous issue that created the need for the work : • 3 calipers seized. 2 pistons seized, 1 E-brake lever on caliper seized, 1 caliper bleeder threads disintegrated. • Everything was / is VERY rusty. • I sanded / resurfaced all brackets etc. After replacing all pads, rotors, calipers, the brakes were dragging. Would kill the speed immediately after letting off gas. • Replaced the hoses / soft lines, all ABS sensors, and new brake light switch. • Brakes still dragging 🤬 • Then replaced the master cylinder and booster. I had some difficulty adjusting the pushrod in the new booster, trying to adjust brake engagement distance because the aftermarket part was different size and shape than stock. Aftermarket was 2 piece adjustable, stock was 1 piece non-adjustable. Finally got it set correctly! • The car still feels sluggish and won't shift out of third gear. Bring the car to the dealership to get the computer relearned and Throttle Position Adjustment but lo and behold it turns out one of the solenoids in the transmission is stuck open and guess what systems that specific solenoid impacts? B1 and B2 braking 😑 this car has been a fucking nightmare. 😭🤬😵💫 • IMPORTANT NOTE FOR ANYONE THAT READS THIS!!!!!! • IF YOU DISCONNECT YOUR BATTERY, OR YOUR BATTERY IS 100% DEAD AND NO POWER IS GOING TO THE ECM, THE COMPUTER WILL FORGET ALL OF ITS BASIC OPERATIONAL VALUES AND REQUIRES A TRIP TO THE DEALER OR ACCESS TO VAGCOM/VCDS TO RELEARN THE COMPUTER AND PERFORM THROTTLE POSITION ADJUSTMENT. • DO NOT DISCONNECT YOUR BATTERY WITHOUT UNDERSTANDING THIS AND BEING PREPARED TO DEAL WITH IT. DO NOT BE LIKE ME AND LEARN THIS AFTER THE FACT. • Speaking of electronics, the fuel filler door switch in the driver door MELTED!? And caused all of the interior lights to stay on 100% of the time repeatedly killing the battery.. Let me tell you.. That took awhile to track down 😑 I posted some pics of the switch in an earlier post. • previous owner "installed" a sound system that I discovered was held together with nothing more than electrical tape.. I mean I guess it worked for awhile..? So I cut, stripped, and connected all wires myself. • Then I replaced all 7 of the solenoids in the transmission, new filter, new gasket, and fancy German fluid. • Replacing the solenoids was probably one of the easiest things I did on the vehicle 🥴 apparently these transmissions are shit and the solenoids always fail so if that happen to you its fairly doable yourself. • The way that I have seen the fill process for the transmission described has been.. confusing.. it seems like different people have different opinions or processes to fill it but this is the easiest explanation I can think of for it : • I drained approximately 3.5 Litres of ATF, so pour in 3.5 Litres of new ATF. • Turn on engine, let engine idle for a couple minutes in Park. • With parking brake set, and foot on brakes, shift through the gears for a couple minutes each on each gear at a time, from top to bottom, P-1-P. • WITH THE ENGINE RUNNING and in Park go back under the car and take out the drain plug from the transmission pan. • If there are no drips, there is not enough fluid yet, KEEP THE DRAIN PLUG OFF and pour in more ATF through the fill port until you see ATF start to drip out of the drain plug hole. Put drain plug back in and close fill port. Wipe pan for any spillage so you can tell if there are leaks, go for a drive. • If the fluid is a steady stream out of the drain plug hole, there is too much fluid, wait until the stream turns into a "glug" and put drain plug back in and close fill port. Wipe pan for any spillage so you can tell if there are leaks, go for a drive. • If the fluid is a "glug" out of the drain plug hole, put drain plug back in and close fill port. Wipe pan for any spillage so you can tell if there are leaks, go for a drive. • So I took the car for a drive today and and I'll need to go onto the highways to make sure but from my small drive the car was shifting!!!!!! YAY!!! WOOOOOO!!! 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳 • Many many many MANY hours of pain and work went into this and it took about 1.5 months of not having our only vehicle driveable. • I am very very very lucky to have some friends in my life, one of who has an Electric Kona, and still has their old car parked at their home. They have let me and my partner borrow their Kona so I'm able to get to work and get groceries etc etc while they drive their old car as their daily. He is genuinely a life saver and has helped us out in some of the worst times in our lives so none of this would have been possible without his help. So thank you Cory!! • After all of this I have personal beef with Volkswagen and I keep saying to my friends / family that at this point I either never want to work on a VW ever again, OR, start a business doing it 🤣 I've had to adjust the brake booster push rod so many times I think I could do it with my eyes closed 🤬🥴 • Hopefully some of this info helps someone at some point.. it has been a very very long and painful process with lots of learning and research required so I hope my pain can help someone else! • I'll sleep better tonight I know that much 😍 |

I would say 50-50 since you as players can with your decisions affect how much combat or roleplay there is going to be but I as a GM, am geared more towards weighting narrative but that doesn't mean that there wouldn't be some cool combat set-pieces ;).
There might be moments in the game where we focus more on the social aspect of the game, interacting in character with the world around them and then there might be some more action-oriented sessions where you get to sit at the edge of your seat!
I will say that how I like to run games, I like to focus on characters and what their motives, goals, and flaws are. This would be a more character-driven game so be ready for that and don't be afraid to get into character and have fun while doing so!

Something about myself is that I have been a huge fan of TTRPGs ever since I started 3.5 years ago. In that period, I have had the pleasure to play multiple systems such as 5e, pathfinder 2e, Call of Cthulhu, cyberpunk RED/2020, mothership, City of Mist, etc. So I have quite a lot of experience and I know the ropes! I also like to draw, write stories, do worldbuilding, play video games, and watch movies and anime.
I am a huge fan of One Piece, it was also an inspiration for this setting so if you are a fan, you'll notice some subtle references here and there!
I do enjoy Eberron as a setting and have read quite a bit on it! Still, while it's an established setting with its lore, that means that there will be things that I might be unaware of or I might change things here and there. I like to stick to the established lore since it's quite expansive and really good but expect changes at some points!

Those happen to me too but if it does, I expect you to let me know ASAP when you know that you are not going to be able to join for the session. - Cinematics: I like to inject some cinematic in the game and I will let you know when there is a cinematic. This happens usually at the end of the session to show you what happens somewhere else where your characters are not necessarily present.
- Campaign may have mature themes: I like to run narrative games and they usually lean towards a more serious tone and while there are moments of lightheartedness, it's not what I am going for this campaign. This is not a campaign for joke characters or happy-go-lucky characters. I will NOT include SA or intense torture roleplaying in my games and there is no tolerance for that. These will be discussed more during the session 0!
- Be attentive during the sessions: During the session, I would like you to feel that you want to be there so I do put a lot of time into prepping the sessions with maps, NPCs, music, etc. So as a player, all I require from you is to know the basic rules, how your character works, and just generally be respectful towards everyone on the table!
- Don't be a dick: Don't rage quit if the dice don't go your way or if you do something in the game that can result in a bad consequence to your character and then it happens. No PvP, unless both agree to it and it needs to have a good reason! Just be respectful and be able to communicate and I am sure we will get along very well!
- There is always a possibility of death: We are here to make an awesome collaborative story together that we can look back to years later with fondness! This however doesn't mean that I am going to pull my punches in combat so that's why I roll in the open. If the dice decide that it's time for your character, then that's how it's going to be. Of course, sometimes there is something that can save you but those are rare. Also, I am not going to go out of my way to kill you and I will make sure that you always know what kinda situations your characters are going to.
- Have a good mic and connection: Having a good mic is important because most of us use headphones so if your audio quality is so bad that it makes our ears bleed then that would be a dealbreaker :D. Bad mics can also negatively just impact the flow of the game if they keep cutting out!

2024.05.22 01:50 FzxH My rating of every arc from DBZ and DBS
Keep in mind this is my rating of the enjoyment I get out of the arcs, and not what I think they should receive based on the quality of the arc. For example, I think the Buu Saga easily has the biggest and the most issues out of any arc from DBZ, but that doesn't stop my enjoyment of it as you can tell from my rating. I also think I likely have quite a few hot takes and will anger some of you who can't understand that everyone enjoys different things.
Dragon ball Z
Saiyan Saga - 8.5/10, One of my first hot takes I imagine. Don't get me wrong this arc is iconic and from a writing perspective is one of the best in Dragon ball. I still love it obviously but I won't lie I am just a complete hoe for transformations so the lack of cool blonde hair results in this arc being a bit lower for me. Goku vs Vegeta is still so iconic and I enjoyed Raditz as well.
Frieza Saga - 9.7/10, So close to a 10, but I wouldn't quite go all the way there. I love the seeing Gohan and Krillin going around Namek as well as seeing the introduction to Frieza. He's imo the best villain in all of Dragon ball and he made quite a mark in this arc. Some of the scenes with Vegeta made me feel so tense and worried for the characters. Goku showing up and fucking up the Ginyu force is amazing and obviously going SSJ for the first time is one of the best moments in all of manga/anime. I don't really even have many criticisms of the arc, and on some days I may even give it a 10 honestly.
Cell Saga - 9.8/10, Again quite close to a 10 and I hold it in very similar regard to the Frieza saga. I must've watched Gohan going SSJ2 and fighting Cell hundreds of times as a kid. This arc kind of speaks for itself, I still love Gohan's character to this day and his character which lead to this point was great and this was such an amazing payoff. Trunk's introduction is amazing as well and we get cool characters in the Androids too. I could go on even more but I've rambled enough.
Majin Buu Saga - 9.9/10, I'm sure this is where the hate will come. Again let me say, I do not think this arc is better than the others in DBZ, but I'm ranking my enjoyment of it. There are quite a few stupid aspects of the arc and characters like Gohan were greatly mis-used. Regardless of this though I still find this arc to be insanely captivating and entertaining. One big part of it is that I adore kid Trunks, Goten, and Gotenks. We also have Vegeta's big moment which was great for his development. Like I mentioned before I absolutely love transformations and this arc had tons of them. Also, I honestly like Buu as a villain more than most, especially in his fat form and Kid Buu when he just became even scarier.
Dragon Ball Super
Battle of Gods - 9.5/10, Here comes another hot take. It's worth noting I am talking about the movie, not the anime or the manga. Beerus has become one of my favourite characters in all of Dragon ball and I loved his introduction in this movie. I know some have issues with the CGI used in some scenes but overall I loved the animation of the fights. It also has great moments like when Beerus slaps Bulma which pisses Vegeta off and obviously the big fight between Goku and Beerus. I'm a sucker for the more chill shit like the crew all just hanging out and I enjoyed the comedy throughout.
Resurrection F - 9.2/10, Pretty similar to the Battle of Gods really, I enjoyed the silly scenes and comedy and also thought the fight with Frieza was pretty entertaining. Story wise I think this one has some really big faults but overall I still like watching it despite that. Could it potentially have been so much better? Yeah definitely but what can ya do
Universe 6 Saga - 8.6/10, This arc was solid, I just feel it doesn't have the highs that the other arcs have. It dragged on at points and the fights were solid, but nothing that special when compared to many of the fights from other arcs in DBS. Goku vs Hit is definitely the highlight imo but it was also cool seeing Vegeta take on a mentor role with Cabba.
Goku Black - 9/10, this one is tough because it has some really amazing moments, but also as I'm sure most agree the ending is really stupid. Goku Black as a villain makes the arc entertaining nonetheless and there are some well written moments for Goku, Vegeta, and Trunks in it as well. The fights are fun to watch and I love seeing the new forms.
ToP - 9.6/10, This one is hard to rate honestly, as it has some insane highs but also goes on for a long time with some parts really dragging. Overall the high moments in the arc are enough to make me rate it so highly though. Goku vs Jiren is an all time fight and Ultra Instinct is obviously such a good transformation.
Moro - 9.9, This one may come as a surprise, but I absolutely loved reading this arc. It felt a lot more like DBZ than anything else in Super to this point and overall I thought Moro was a great villain. His design was pretty cool before he transformed and overall I thought the character development for Goku and especially Vegeta was great. The whole concept of Moro as a villain and his powers are so interesting and seeing him actually be such a challenge for Goku and Vegeta was really neat. The final battle between all of them is insanely cool and overall I just love this arc.
Granolah - 9.8/10, This is probably also a shock to you all but similarly to the last arc, I just loved the character development for both Goku and Vegeta. Seeing both of their new forms was great and some of the panels with both of them are next level. This arc definitely had some questionable writing decisions but again the highs of the arc far outweigh that to me. There are some interesting characters like Granolah and it was great to see more about Bardock too.
As you can tell, I love both DBZ and DBS a ton and that I have a very different taste than most in regard to my enjoyment of DBZ and DBS arcs. Feel free to give your thoughts on my ratings as well as your own or just any thoughts

Dragon ball Z
Saiyan Saga - 8.5/10, One of my first hot takes I imagine. Don't get me wrong this arc is iconic and from a writing perspective is one of the best in Dragon ball. I still love it obviously but I won't lie I am just a complete hoe for transformations so the lack of cool blonde hair results in this arc being a bit lower for me. Goku vs Vegeta is still so iconic and I enjoyed Raditz as well.

I might include some random pics from throughout the process. If I do they'll be in chronological order. I AM NOT AN EXPERT OR A MECHANIC. I've worked on my own vehicles and worked in the auto industry for some years but I am not a technician nor do I think I am one 😬 This.. this is a tale best told around a moonlight campfire.. for it shall strike fear into anyone who hears it.. 😦 Here's a rundown of all the work done recently on the vehicle : • New power brake booster • New master cylinder • New rotors X4 • New pads front and back • New calipers X4 • New hose / soft lines on calipers X4 • New ABS sensors X4 • New brake light switch • Miscellaneous things like bulbs, wipers, air filter, cabin air filter, oil filter, oil change, gas cap, etc • Replaced all 7 solenoids in transmission, filter, gasket, etc etc Previous issue that created the need for the work : • 3 calipers seized. 2 pistons seized, 1 E-brake lever on caliper seized, 1 caliper bleeder threads disintegrated. • Everything was / is VERY rusty. • I sanded / resurfaced all brackets etc. After replacing all pads, rotors, calipers, the brakes were dragging. Would kill the speed immediately after letting off gas. • Replaced the hoses / soft lines, all ABS sensors, and new brake light switch. • Brakes still dragging 🤬 • Then replaced the master cylinder and booster. I had some difficulty adjusting the pushrod in the new booster, trying to adjust brake engagement distance because the aftermarket part was different size and shape than stock. Aftermarket was 2 piece adjustable, stock was 1 piece non-adjustable. Finally got it set correctly! • The car still feels sluggish and won't shift out of third gear. Bring the car to the dealership to get the computer relearned and Throttle Position Adjustment but lo and behold it turns out one of the solenoids in the transmission is stuck open and guess what systems that specific solenoid impacts? B1 and B2 braking 😑 this car has been a fucking nightmare. 😭🤬😵💫 • IMPORTANT NOTE FOR ANYONE THAT READS THIS!!!!!! • IF YOU DISCONNECT YOUR BATTERY, OR YOUR BATTERY IS 100% DEAD AND NO POWER IS GOING TO THE ECM, THE COMPUTER WILL FORGET ALL OF ITS BASIC OPERATIONAL VALUES AND REQUIRES A TRIP TO THE DEALER OR ACCESS TO VAGCOM/VCDS TO RELEARN THE COMPUTER AND PERFORM THROTTLE POSITION ADJUSTMENT. • DO NOT DISCONNECT YOUR BATTERY WITHOUT UNDERSTANDING THIS AND BEING PREPARED TO DEAL WITH IT. DO NOT BE LIKE ME AND LEARN THIS AFTER THE FACT. • Speaking of electronics, the fuel filler door switch in the driver door MELTED!? And caused all of the interior lights to stay on 100% of the time repeatedly killing the battery.. Let me tell you.. That took awhile to track down 😑 I posted some pics of the switch in an earlier post. • previous owner "installed" a sound system that I discovered was held together with nothing more than electrical tape.. I mean I guess it worked for awhile..? So I cut, stripped, and connected all wires myself. • Then I replaced all 7 of the solenoids in the transmission, new filter, new gasket, and fancy German fluid. • Replacing the solenoids was probably one of the easiest things I did on the vehicle 🥴 apparently these transmissions are shit and the solenoids always fail so if that happen to you its fairly doable yourself. • The way that I have seen the fill process for the transmission described has been.. confusing.. it seems like different people have different opinions or processes to fill it but this is the easiest explanation I can think of for it : • I drained approximately 3.5 Litres of ATF, so pour in 3.5 Litres of new ATF. • Turn on engine, let engine idle for a couple minutes in Park. • With parking brake set, and foot on brakes, shift through the gears for a couple minutes each on each gear at a time, from top to bottom, P-1-P. • WITH THE ENGINE RUNNING and in Park go back under the car and take out the drain plug from the transmission pan. • If there are no drips, there is not enough fluid yet, KEEP THE DRAIN PLUG OFF and pour in more ATF through the fill port until you see ATF start to drip out of the drain plug hole. Put drain plug back in and close fill port. Wipe pan for any spillage so you can tell if there are leaks, go for a drive. • If the fluid is a steady stream out of the drain plug hole, there is too much fluid, wait until the stream turns into a "glug" and put drain plug back in and close fill port. Wipe pan for any spillage so you can tell if there are leaks, go for a drive. • If the fluid is a "glug" out of the drain plug hole, put drain plug back in and close fill port. Wipe pan for any spillage so you can tell if there are leaks, go for a drive. • So I took the car for a drive today and and I'll need to go onto the highways to make sure but from my small drive the car was shifting!!!!!! YAY!!! WOOOOOO!!! 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳 • Many many many MANY hours of pain and work went into this and it took about 1.5 months of not having our only vehicle driveable. • I am very very very lucky to have some friends in my life, one of who has an Electric Kona, and still has their old car parked at their home. They have let me and my partner borrow their Kona so I'm able to get to work and get groceries etc etc while they drive their old car as their daily. He is genuinely a life saver and has helped us out in some of the worst times in our lives so none of this would have been possible without his help. So thank you Cory!! • After all of this I have personal beef with Volkswagen and I keep saying to my friends / family that at this point I either never want to work on a VW ever again, OR, start a business doing it 🤣 I've had to adjust the brake booster push rod so many times I think I could do it with my eyes closed 🤬🥴 • Hopefully some of this info helps someone at some point.. it has been a very very long and painful process with lots of learning and research required so I hope my pain can help someone else! • I'll sleep better tonight I know that much 😍 |

Hey guys, im a current sophomore in high school whose teacher (technically) resigned due to inappropriate relationships with a student to put it simply. Anyways, the details aren't important but our school uses PowerSchool for adding grades. Before this teacher left, there was one assignment that they handed back to me with my grade on it and one in which they said they would grade the following week. Long story short they left before my assignment with a physical grade on it has not been put into PowerSchool and the one that was supposed to be graded a week later hasn't even been made as an assignment in PowerSchool yet. It was denied due to it pre existing and me taking short bursts of medicine at random periods. However, since 2016 after being driven to drinking heavily for a period I've been 100% reliant on medication or within 2 days I start having crazy symptoms like vomiting, breath smells like acid, intense pain and regurgitation, etc. I found this page from my STR. Wondering if this was potentially overlooked. If so would this qualify as a cue? |
