Good morning, tributes, and welcome back to stories of Panem. Before we begin, I would love to thank the splendid Christian Blanco, the original writer of Tales of the Hunger Games, and Lauren from Panem Reborn, to which these tales are inspired by. I hope you all are excited for our quinquennial quell we have today. So if you're ready, let's go.
3rd Quinquennial Quell: 151 Tribute Names
In District 14, Ezra Montario had to tase the girl Cleopatra’s older sister after she tackled Ezra to the ground. Even Felicity Breen, the mentor for District 11, had to stop Thalia, the girl from 11, from punching a laughing girl after Felicity chose her. In District 8, Amanda Mills looked forward at the district's population, with her wife talking to her to keep her mind at bay. Mayor Ravenski also talked with Amanda as the citizens were being ushered into the square. “You’ll be alright, right dear?” Amanda smiled and nodded before standing up from her seat. Watching Mayor Ravenski finish his speech, Amanda rose up to the microphone, looking at the sea of purple. Camilla remarked, “They’re showing hope; that’s rare.” “Don’t get mad if I choose you. There’s nothing I can do.”
One girl then shouted, “Isn’t that what you said when you got your supposed death sentence?” However, before Amanda could respond, a peacekeeper soon took this girl to the Falling Factory. As this girl screamed out, Silca then recounted, “Thank God it isn’t her going in.”
Amanda then walked down into the square, noticing the frightened young youths and solemn older youths. As such, the 19-year-old victor walked over to the ladies, fashioning a dress that looked like a “funeral garment,” according to Nico. She then walked her way to the middle-aged youths; many started sobbing uncontrollably, causing Amanda to wince. Calculating a plan in her mind like clockwork, she then walked to the older youths. She then saw one girl, a tall brown-haired girl with hazel eyes, fashioning a long purple dress. “Come, come.” The girl sighed before taking Amanda by the hand, as many of the nearby youths sighed as Amanda plopped the girl back up, asking, “What’s your name, hun?”
“Veilia Winagin.”
Camilla praised Veilia for her strong atmosphere and for “not throwing a scene like many other tributes did.” Amanda soon nodded before returning back to the square, walking to the male section. Again, many of these youths were looking away, many of them clinging on for dear life. Amanda softened, seeing one crying into his friend’s shoulder before she continued further on to the 17-year-old youths. Strong-minded and staring forward, their faces turning a further shade of white. Finally, Amanda walked, seeing one boy looking her way. Camilla asked if the boy knew her, causing Silca to shrug. Amanda then took this boy by the hand, a tall blonde boy with blue eyes and a smattering of brown freckles, to the stage. Nico recoiled, seeing this boy’s light purple hat and suit, with Camilla recounting that it only made him more of a purple mouse.
As Amanda returned to the stage, the boy introduced himself to be 18-year-old Jaxon Chaneli. As Jaxon shook Veilia’s hand, Amanda announced the pair as this year's tributes for District 8. Moderate applause followed as Jaxon and Veilia met with their families. Veilia was visited by a stony-faced older sister and frantic younger cousins and aunts and uncles. She gently removed herself from them before walking over to her sister. “Don’t anger Amanda. I did that back when we were kids. I want you to try to win.” Veilia rolled her eyes and nodded before asking, “The feud ended, why are you still harping on it?” However, before her elder sister could respond, she was yanked to the train station by impatient peacekeepers. As for Jaxon, only his elderly grandfather visited him. Jaxon embraced his grandfather in a tight hug before thanking him for taking care of him during the war. Mr. Chaneli smiled before embracing him, saying, “Just do whatever you can to make it back.” Jaxon sadly smiled before going with the peacekeepers that were taking Veilia and him to the train. When they entered, they saw their mentor straightening out her long black hair. Amanda turned back at her tributes before shrugging and inviting them to the table with a table of fabrics.
“Here, knit.”
Jaxon and Veilia shrugged again before twiddling away with the fabrics. However, as Veilia began frantically making a shawl, Amanda sighed before telling them to focus their attention on the screen. As Amanda turned on a tape of her own games, Veilia shouted before hurling her sewing needle toward Amanda. As she caught the needle between her fingers, Amanda said, “Enough.”
As Veilia screamed out in a psychiatric trance, a peacekeeper soon injected a sedative into Veilia’s arm, and she fell unconscious. “Put her in her room.” As the peacekeepers obliged, Amanda soon took out a barber’s cape. “Wanna haircut?” she asked. As Jaxon shrugged and nodded, he sat down before listening to Amanda talk about the upcoming week in the Capitol as she gave Jaxon a haircut. “I do these with all of my mentees; we are the district of fashion, after all.” Jaxon laughed before allowing Amanda to continue his haircut. Finally, Jaxon’s haircut was finished; he now fashioned a side cut, giving him more of a daring appearance. Even Amanda laughed, saying, “I think I made you too fierce.”
Jaxon smiled before continuing to watch Amanda’s games. As they were reaching the finale with Ezekiel and Mason, Jaxon turned to Amanda, saying, “If my arena is as humid as that one, I would rather hop off my podium early.” Amanda then looked at Jaxon with a bewildered look before Jaxon laughed, saying he was joking. Amanda smirked before inviting him to sit with her on the couch. The two then talked about their personal lives, with Jaxon becoming intrigued when Amanda talked about all of the fancy clothes people wore in the Capitol. However, as she finished her speech, the train from District 8 arrived in the Capitol.
Amanda warmly waved at her fans at the platform before bringing out a very tired Veilia and a fierce-looking Jaxon wandering into the audience. However, as Jaxon was trying to talk to many of the Capitol lights at the train station, he had been pushed behind by Veilia. As she sniggered, Amanda quickly rushed over and helped him up, joking, “My, my, a sedative can change anyone’s mind.” Jaxon sniggered before being helped up by Capitol teens his age, obtaining a successful reputation, with many appreciating his laid-back attitude and sociable demeanor. This intrigued many Capitol lights about some of his fashion designs, as he was a fashion designer's apprentice.
Veilia’s crowd she had obtained from before had vanished with the drop of a hat, as commentators put it, resulting in her stomping in a fit. After a brief delay, Amanda then thanked the audience for their time before walking Jaxon and Veilia to the limousine. Along the way to the 8th floor of the accommodation tower, Amanda scolded Veilia for acting like a “four-year-old,” which resulted in Jaxon joking, “I guess she’s an amnesiac now.” As the limo arrived at the apartments, Amanda sniggered before leading her tributes up to their apartment on the 8th floor. As they arrived, Jaxon asked where their stylist was, resulting in a middle-aged woman to pop out and say, “BOO.” As Veilia shrieked, Jaxon smirked as Lacey Berrick introduced herself to the two before showing them the designs she had in mind. Jaxon admired the designs of pure silk but was mortified when Veilia jumped on the table, ruining the designs. As Lacey remained calm, Jaxon sarcastically said, “You don’t want 8 to get another victor.” Veilia laughed as she vindictively smiled, saying, “No one will get out of the arena now.” However, before Jaxon could respond, Amanda put a gentle hand on his shoulder, saying, “She can make a new one.” As Lacey pinched the nerve on Veilia’s neck, temporarily knocking her out, Lacey gave Jaxon a pre-made outfit that resembled leisurely Capitol couture. Amanda said, “I’ll see if I can put a divider up between the two of you.”
Jaxon nodded before sitting on the couch, putting on Capitol TV. Amanda soon joined before asking, “Which district do you want to watch?” As Amanda turned to the reapings in 12, Jaxon laughed, seeing the comedic scuffle that occurred, then became intrigued, watching the reaping in District 3 occurring, before asking Amanda to tune into it. As she did this, they were about to hear the female tribute being announced.
Mayor Doe was concluding his speech. Albert Latier, the district's appointed mentor, looked onward into the sea of yellow youths watching ahead in turmoil. With a flip of his cape, Albert walked down the stairs. Even many sounds of laptops could be heard typing away in the furthest enclosure of the male and female youths, which made most of the Capitol citizens watching in the viewing square chortle loudly, with Camilla sarcastically saying, “My, my, someone’s at work typing away.” Albert trailed further down before finding one young lady with a short frizz of red hair and large black glasses with green eyes. As Albert tapped this lady on the shoulder, she sighed before allowing the peacekeepers to lead her to the stage before she was plopped up by Mayor Doe.
As he asked her what her name was, the girl responded, “Iris Plummer.” As the 18-year-old shyly smiled at the nearby camera, Nico recounted that he adored Iris’s long yellow gown, saying he “wanted it for his personal collection.” Albert shook Iris’s hand before he returned to the reaping pen, walking to the middle of the pen. He looked at one young lad with similar glasses and a smattering of brown curly hair. Albert tapped him on the shoulder. As the lad jumped up, he sighed before joining Iris on the stage. This lad was revealed to be 15-year-old Astral Vaughn. Astral shook Iris’s hand as Mayor Doe announced the pair as the tributes for the district, bringing the pair to their holding rooms to meet with their parents and friends. Iris was only visited by a few of her server room friends, MJ and Joey. Iris embraced the two of them in a tight hug, expressing her appreciation for their companionship. As MJ began to sob about potentially losing her friend to the games, Joey soon reminded her to “run for the perimeter” as soon as she could. As Iris began to ask how this would be important, Joey placed his finger over Iris’s mouth, saying, “You’ll thank me when you get there.” Before Iris could protest more, peacekeepers soon took her to the waiting dock for Astral. Astral was visited by his professor parents and younger brother. He embraced his family members in a tight hug before listening to his father rant about any electric currency/magnetic field in an arena that might attract any electrical matter. Astral sighed before saying he had “all the electrical mind information one could muster.” “That’s why you’re the smartest in the district.”
Astral laughed before saying he would do what he could to come back. After one final embrace, the pair from District 3 were brought onto the hovercraft, where they saw their mentor playing a game that was being displayed via a robot hologram. “Is that my hologram game device?” Albert was caught off guard before looking at the short lad, saying, “You made this.”
As Iris chimed in, Albert’s face turned to surprise, and he smiled before saying, “3 has some smart ones this year.” Iris and Astral walked to the dining carriage as Albert talked to the pair about the upcoming week. He appreciated his tributes’ attentiveness before showing the past reapings in the districts. However, Astral made Iris giggle by mimicking Albert’s strict teacher-like personality by showing goofy faces and expressions. Iris smirked before Albert tossed some metals and wires out for the pair. “Why do you want us to make a battery?”
As Albert still beckoned the pair to do as he asked, he giggled to himself as Iris’s battery gave her a light electric shock. Astral noticed this before helping the 18-year-old rewire the circuits on her own battery. Iris smiled before ruffling Astral’s curly brown hair with her hand, joking, “You remind me of my younger brother Anteno.” Albert’s face whitened as he recalled Anteno’s death in the 112th Games. However, to not upset his mentee, Albert remained quiet before commending them on their teamwork with the battery exercise. As the train arrived in the Capitol, Albert smartened his tributes before the train settled in McCaine station. As the pair disembarked, Astral was approached by many eager fans his age, asking him about his renewable lightbulbs that he had engineered back in his district that had gotten popular. Astral laughed before taking a few of those out of his pocket, causing many of them to cheer and fight over them, causing Iris to gently bring Astral to her crowd of citizens. As the pair from District 3 geeked out with the Capitol lights, Albert swooped them up before thanking the Capitol for their time, with both Astral and Iris waving at their fans.
“We have fans?” Astral said in a surprising manner.
Iris smiled before saying, “You’re a little genius who got some of your inventions in the Capitol. Damn right, we got fans.” Astral laughed as Albert commended the two on a job well done before keeping the pair entertained as a short TV descended from the limousine roof with Albert signing to the Avoxes to put on the reboot of “The Bunger Games.” This beloved cartoon show from the second incarnation had been rebooted after the 113th Games by Killian Phips (who would also become a head gamemaker in later games). Once the pair from District 3 arrived at their accommodation floor, Albert shouted, “Keep the noise down, Heath.” As the 2s’s commotion settled down, Albert made a call to the pair's stylist, Elesa Mauvile. Elesa then showed up, saying how “adorable the geeky pair looked.” As the two gave each other bewildered looks, they were surprised when Elesa asked if she could see Iris’s goggles.
As Elesa looked further into the goggles, she gasped with manic stylist delight before squealing, “Astrologists, astrologists.” As Elesa and her team began to work, Albert sighed before saying, “At least the girl has talent.” After a half-hour wait, Elesa and her team returned to the apartment, where Iris and Astral’s cleanly made, stylish galaxy/astrologist-themed outfits were revealed. Iris wore a long dress with light blue and purple. Astral complemented the outfit with a long flowing black cloak with a galaxy-themed suit and black top hat. These outfits caused Iris to squeak and say how beautiful it was. Elesa smiled as Astral admired the galaxy stars on his suit.
Albert and Elesa both brought the pair down to the parade, being greeted with a comedic scuffle occurring.

Once the pair from District 3 arrived at their accommodation floor, Albert shouted, “Keep the noise down, Heath.” As the 2s’s commotion settled down, Albert made a call to the pair's stylist, Elesa Mauvile. Elesa then showed up, saying how “adorable the geeky pair looked.” As the two gave each other bewildered looks, they were surprised when Elesa asked if she could see Iris’s goggles.
As Elesa looked further into the goggles, she gasped with manic stylist delight before squealing, “Astrologists, astrologists.” As Elesa and her team began to work, Albert sighed before saying, “At least the girl has talent.” After a half-hour wait, Elesa and her team returned to the apartment, where Iris and Astral’s cleanly made, stylish galaxy/astrologist-themed outfits were revealed. Iris wore a long dress with light blue and purple. Astral complemented the outfit with a long flowing black cloak with a galaxy-themed suit and black top hat. These outfits caused Iris to squeak and say how beautiful it was. Elesa smiled as Astral admired the galaxy stars on his suit.
Albert and Elesa both brought the pair down to the parade, being greeted with a comedic scuffle occurring.

Hey y'all.
So I've been watching a lot of those digital horror flash game videos recently and remembered one that me and my brother found a while ago. I think we found it somewhere between 2021 and mid 2022. If you know anything about those digital horror flash games, I know it was before the whole subgenre got popular and I'm like 70% sure it was before the Lacey Games series started (definitely before it got popular). Know that when I refer to the media here as a game, I'm talking about a video where someone's playing a fake game.
It was this animation channel that had this old flash game theme to it, but the art style was very cutesy. It was kinda pastel goth-like with creepy elements to it but it also had more like frills and sparkles to it. I think it might've also been anime-inspired but take that with a grain of salt, I just know it was cartoony. It was also very cluttered, there was usually a ton of little things on screen at a time framing the focus of the shot. I'm pretty sure the whole channel was dedicated to these animations, but it might've just been a smaller series on a bigger channel.
The videos had a story to them but I can't really remember it. The main character was your typical girly optimistic pink-haired girl, but she had this dark side to her I think? I don't know if she actually did anything really evil but I think she just had this kinda hidden evil vibe to her. There was another girl who might've been her love interest but I am NOT sure of that. She was this frankenstein creature with red hair I think? It might've been split dyed with another color to it, maybe white or blue or black. But she was chill and cool and might've smoked? I don't know. I think she also did the trope of falling apart randomly, like frankenstein monsters do. I think there was also a scientist guy but I do not remember. I think part of the story was about the main girl having missing memories or something.
There's three videos I remember from it, but only two of them I'm sure existed. I'll start with the one I'm not sure of because it's short. I think it was about the pink girl confessing her love to the frankenstein girl on a school rooftop, but getting there and realizing someone else was already confessing their love to her. So later on she pushes that person off the roof. I don't know if this was a real video or if I'm getting it mixed up with something else since it's a pretty common trope.
The two that I'm sure existed were a surgery game and a little mermaid story game. The surgery game had the pink haired girl being a doctor or nurse and taking care of patients, but it'd get really gory. I think she might've operated on her mother at some point but now that I'm thinking about it, I don't know if that really happened. She might've also operated on the frankenstein girl and stitched her up. I remember her tools including a candle for cauterizing wounds and maybe melting body parts? and scissors for cutting people open. It was animated VERY similarly to how those old surgery games used to play. The end of the video had the story moving forward, but I'm not sure what actually happened.
The little mermaid story game was a video where I think the characters dressed up and acted out a version of the little mermaid. It might've been original designs but I'm not sure. The game played like a storybook where you would click to move on the story and occasionally have to play a small simple mini-game like spot the difference or find the hidden object. I remember the story got very dark though and instead of an actual little mermaid story, it was about a mermaid being captured and held inside an aquarium for royalty or rich people. I think they were planning to eat the mermaid but the chef grew attached to the mermaid and didn't want to kill them. I don't remember what happened after though, but I think at the end either the mermaid ate the chef or the chef was forced to cook the mermaid. I'm not sure about that though.
Sorry this post is so long but I wanted to add every detail I could remember. I'd love it if anyone could help me find this channel, it was super interesting and I want to rewatch these old videos and see if any new ones came out. Thanks!

But then you need to know that in the game there is a recurring theme of the inability of Lacey to do anything, she is controlled by the player and the creator of the game. So, it might be that the creator of the game 'set up' this date.
- He is the amalgamation of flesh and bones found in the valentine's chocolate box: Highly plausible. The stalker may have heard of Lacey's date and killed the date as such to protect his 'love'. But this theory also has some holes, based on anecdotal evidence and observed phenomena I can postulate that when you try to date or come in contact with someone, your stalker will bug you about it but Lacey's stalker never mentioned a date or anyone else in any of his phone calls.
- He is nonexistent, imaginary: This could be the case because of all the trauma that has occured in Lacey's life, she may just have imagined a date so as to fit the norm or provide healing.

 | There's one frame in "the disturbing rabbithole of laceygames.com" that has been misinterpreted by a lot of fans, so I wanted to do a post about it and hopefully bring a stop to this misconception once and for all. Towards the end of the video, when Lacey is performing her goodbye song, a series of split-second images suddenly flash on the screen, and one of them appears to be of Lacey (as she appears in Lacey's Makeup Parlor) being strangled by an individual who may not be so easy to identity upon first glance. submitted by MidnaLazui to LaceyGamesSeries [link] [comments] Now, when the video was first uploaded, a lot of people believed that the person strangling Lacey was Jay, indicating that the two girls had gotten into some kind of fight. I think the reason people believed this was because a YouTuber called "minaxa" did a video analysis on the entire series and uploaded it less than an hour after "the disturbing rabbithole of laceygames.com" was uploaded (as one of ghosttundra's patrons, he had access to the video for at least a week beforehand), and in the video, he was convinced that this image depicted Lacey being strangled by Jay. The person who is strangling Lacey in this one frame, IS NOT JAY. Personally, I'm not sure how minaxa could even think this was Jay, because that is obviously NOT her hair color, nor is that an outfit resembling anything that Jay has worn at any point. In actuality, I'm fairly certain the person strangling Lacey in this image is meant to be ANOTHER Lacey, which you can tell from the fact that both individuals have the same hair and eye color, and the outfit that the person doing the strangling is wearing vaguely resembles the outfit that Lacey is seen wearing when she's performing her goodbye song at the end of the video. As for what this all entails, I believe it's meant to be a reflection of the video's theme of reality vs. societal expectations. The Lacey who is being strangled represents the superficial image of femininity that society WANTS to be portrayed as the ideal version of how women should look and act, and if you've seen the video, you'll know that it's this mindset that lead to Jay being killed off in the first place, because as a tomboy, she didn't meet these expectations. Having said that, I believe the Lacey who is doing the strangling is meant to be Lacey taking revenge on the toxic mindset that got her close friend killed, which I believe extends to Rocio as well, and how she feels about this toxic mindset in general. |

Preface : I have been married about 6 years and feel as though I am very open minded when it comes to sex. I feel like I do a wide variety of things and yes I will name some so ( I also won’t be crude.. but for those not comfortable just wanted to warn you.) I feel it’s important though so I can really get customized advice. Also all these ideas sex wise was him wanting me to do these.
When we were first married since we were pretty religious and this stuff isn’t really talked about we were pretty naïve. So of course things started more slow. But since our 2nd year of marriage I dress up in really anything he wants me to ( roped lingerie, Lacey, themed , handcuffs , like I said pretty open) along with using pleasure toys vibrating stuff for the woman (myself) and dildo stuff for him that I use on myself for him to have more visual pleasure (his idea) we do oral , handwork , using mirrors , lots of positions - the works! I’ve made him videos, sent pics ,etc. for him to have if I’m ever away or if he ever wants time to himself . As I don’t feel comfortable with him seeking out porn or only fans so I create my own for him. Sex wise we have it every couple of days and it’s generally 30 min or slightly longer. He isn’t one for quickies . And the only reservation I’ve had is no going in from the back, and no toys there. Really being I just got diagnosed with a hypermobile coccyx and that can give me huge amounts of discomfort and slow my progress in therapy. I also am 130 pounds and have kept up my appearance (saying this to again rule out issues as to his unsatisfaction.) I am getting frustrated because I have feel like a object now, our sex used to feel like it meant more and I felt more connected and now it’s just full of toys and whatever else he wants to do. I feel like I offer him everything and he can’t just respect my reservation on that one thing. It makes me feel like I’m unattractive as he can’t have sex with me unless it’s a playboy fantasy , I miss our old days of being naive because this is just awful. Am I blowing this out of proportion? I feel like I do so much and I’m an attractive woman, like what am I missing ??? Anyone else experience this or maybe have some guidance?

2024.04.24 21:41 Winjasfan Theory: Lacey's jobs represent how Rocio felt towards her work making girl games
Spoilers for the first 4 episodes, i.e. all that are currently out.
It is widelly believed in the community that Lacey Falsh Games in-universe were turned into their twisted, disturbingdistucreated by Rocio Yani, who either wanted to vent about her trauma or take revenge during a mental breakdown. However, I believe that the games about Lacey working a job (Diner, Petshop, Make-Up Parlor) symbolize Rocio's relationship to her role as a creator of girl games specifically. I'll go through them one by one.
First, I believe Laceys Diner is retelling Rocios mental breakdown she suffered while working on the games. Lacey is the owner of the titular Diner, working hard and giving her everything to keep it running. But her customers are demanding and ungrateful, leading to her having a mental breakdown. This fits everything that we know about Rocio from the "Rabbithole" video. She co-owned the studio and went to extreme pressure working on the games, as evidence by her doin Lacey's voice even thought it stressed her out extremely. But like in Lacey's diner, people would only complain to her about the games (Jay specifically) and be ungrateful, which went Rocio snap as evidenced by her answer message to the complaints. In diner, Lacey's next action is to take revenge on her ungrateful customers by cooked a meal out of objects from her traumatic childhood and feeding them to customers, making them disappear. Afterwards the diner has to close down and Lacey sees no other option than to kill herself. Meanwhile as explained in "Rabbithole", Rocio started placing Jay's corpse in different games after they had to kill her of, as well as several disturbing images and events relating to her own trauma (as of now I'm interpreting Lacey's backstory about her abusive uncle as something that literally happened to Rocio). So like Diner Lacey, Rocio is serving customers her own trauma. And like in diner, this leads to Rocios business failing as Yaniaso closing. While not confirmed, I believe Rocio has taken her own life or at least planned to do so while creating the twisted games. My interpretation of the "woman wrapped in wires in front of a computer" is that it is Rocio representing the suicide she has planned for herself. She plans to cut open her arms to bleed out, and wrapped herself in wires to represent the cuts (I have no strong evidence to support this, the way her arms are wrapped just remind me of cuts).
Moving on to Petshop, I think this game represents Rocio getting disilusioned by the influence her games have on girls. A major theme of the series is how girls media (with flashgames for girls as an example) downplays the dangers that young girls face while also forcing them into a narrow traditional version of femininity. Wardrobe is the perfect example with how the game mechanics for Lacey to ignore the danger of stalking, as well as Jay being killed off for not being feminine. I believe the clients in Lacey's petshop represents the parents of young girls. They go to Lacey's Petshop (the game site) wanting Lacey (Rocio) to give them the perfect pets (daughters) they always wanted. Lacey/Rocio complies, forcing the girls into a narrow femine expression even if it violates them, symbolized by the abuse the pets suffer. She is literally GROOMING them. This is made clear by the turtle having to smile, just like women are told to smile more, as well as changing pets to resemble their owners just like some parent want their children to be tiny version of their parents. Lastly the limbless bunny is a refrence to how some men want women to be helpless and dependend on men, and see their autonomy as "distracting". Rocio/Lacey is aware of her games toxic influence but continues to make them to please the customers until she gets a flashback to her own traumatic childhood, as presented by the point-and-click-adventure part of Petshop. I believe this is the point where Rocio decides that she would no longer comply with bigotted complaints like removing her tomboy-ish character, but instead take revenge.
Lastly Make-Up Parlor is Rocio reflecting in hindsight how she was delusional about her games impact. Lacey deluded herself into believing she is a make-up artist, helping women to be their best, most idealized and beautiful self. But in actuality she works at the morgue, putting make-up and dead bodies to make them look alive. Likewise Rocio believed herself to be empowering girls and helping them be their best selves, but in actuality just helped enforce a sanitized view on girlhood, hiding all the ugly and traumatic parts behind a glittery facade. This motif of children being tought lies also comes up in one of the single-frame pop-ups in Diner. She blamed Jay's death on her not wearing make-up, symbolizing how Rocio at first (before the flashback in Petshop) victim blamed gender-nonconforming people on the repercussions they face. Lacey putting on the morgue make-up herself symbolizing how she started believing her games message herself in order to cope: telling herself that being a girl or even a woman just meant being pretty and always happy. But ultimatelly Rocio doesn't succeed fooling herself, symbolized by the final photo from petshop still showing dead Jay and Morgue Lacey.

Grace Asop was one of the developers behind Yaniaso Games, who worked with Rocío Yani to produce 50+ games for laceygames.com. After working together for many years, they went their separate ways in 2010 and haven't seen each other since. In the recent investigation behind Lacey's games, which have become corrupted and filled with disturbing material, Grace becomes a point of interest, as she is the only person who knows enough about Rocío to help connect the dots.
This post isn't about the conclusion they come to, but rather what Grace has to say about Rocío. You'll notice that in the beginning of the video, Grace discusses an incident where Rocío became incredibly stressed while recording a theme song for laceygames.com, to the point where she began screaming and ripping her hair out. When asked why she didn't figure out why Rocío became hysterical during the recording session, Grace responded:
I think it's obvious that Grace contributed to Rocío's declining mental state, whether she meant to or not. While Grace doesn't need to be responsible for solving Rocío's problems, she also shouldn't have been insensitive towards them. The way Grace speaks of Rocío is very telling of someone who refused to look beyond mental illnesses as "crazy" or "creepy", which, in turn, could possibly mean that she provided no support for Rocío during this time. Imagine being Rocío and having your friend, who is supposed to have your best interests at heart, react to your mental anguish in a jarring, inconsiderate way.
Obviously, I don't excuse Rocío's actions, but Grace isn't innocent either.

To put it simply, "Lacey's Flash Games" is the only analog horror that I really love and that interests me a lot. There is one problema though: since I'm a man, I obviously can't relate to a lot of what the serie is talking about (basically, the main audience of the serie are girls since this analog horror talks about girlhood traumas, something I know nothing about.). Because of this I wanted to ask: is it a problem if I enjoy this serie a lot? And if so, should I try to find a serie that deals with themes that I can relate to or should I just not watch other analog horrors, since the other ones I've tried (Mandela Catalogue, Walten Files), I didn't like?

Don't get me wrong, I loved the highs of the DLC. I really enjoyed Kieran's story and grew to appreciate Carmine personally by the time of the indigo disk.
I loved Ogrepon so much (even if the fandom overhypes her), and I loved the Blueberry E4.
Drayton stands out as one of my favorite Pokemon characters. I found his unique blend of Iris's personality and Drayden's appearance brilliant. His dynamic with the Kitakami siblings, where they both HATE him at times but still consider him their friend, added depth to the story.
I also really enjoyed Perrin for the small interactions we get with her...pokemon proved that Adaman's family would be good-looking, even if they are a gal or a dude lmao.
But other than that...idk. This DLC had some pretty bad lows.

- Like I thought it was so strange that Terapagos got overshadowed after all of the mystery and hype surrounding it. It is FUNNY that it just came and gone. They managed to give Enteratus the most overdesigned final form ever, and we thought Terapagos would be the same, but they gave it one of the most boring designs ever.
- Heath and whatever Briar was doing is very similar to Terapagos because all the mystery behind them was just gone after DLC 2, and it didn't even feel satisfying. Like they gave everything, Heath should have discussed it with Sada/Turo. I still believe Briar should have been the bad guy for the DLC since we met her even before Kieran and Carmine. It would have been predictable, but at least it would have made sense.
- Pecharunt being a goofy bad guy made my eyes roll; like dude looked so EERIE in the Ogrepon tale since he wasn't smiling, unlike his minions. But he looked like a cold, calculated killer, and I thought it would be better if he was just evil. But having him be "misunderstood" is kind of dumb. I get it; it's part of the game's theme, "unhealthy desires/obsessions drive people to do crazy things," but I think having four characters with it (Sada/Turo, Kieran, Briar, and now Pecharunt) is making it less subtle and more annoying. Speaking of annoying...I hated the Mochi Mochi shit that was going on in January and Feb. the theme is good and kinda funny, but people made the joke annoying by posting it everywhere. It made me lowkey wish the storyline was different, and they went with the idea of Broo teaming up with Kieran to get revenge on Ogrepon and the Player. Type of Eddie Brock Shit, and it could have been badass that Kieran believes that he can finally beat us since he now has a strong Pokemon of his own. In my opinion, it's way more fitting with Pecharunt than Terapagos since Kieran was, in a way, Momoturo in the teal mask. With the purple hair and him giving "life/power" to the loyal three again.
- The fact that we can't take classes in Blueberry always kind of bugged me. Drayton's "sensible" reasoning for us to join the Blueberry Club was that we are exchange students and we take the same classes as everyone else. And I mean, he isn't wrong. We did do one class with Lacey, but eh...we didn't do anything afterward because Carmine called us up, and then we just... didn't do anything afterward. Like lowkey, I had problems with base SV not taking advantage of the school setting more, but I appreciated that they at least had classes that helped flesh out the teachers and areas more. It was a nice way to give the player world-building and information, and it's optional rather than forcing us to read giant text boxes of chat while we are doing something more important like the story. I'm shocked Blueberry didn't take advantage of this. It could have been a good way to give small details about how Unova has changed since BW2, like a year count. Or give us a cameo of Cheren or something as a post-game side-boss. Since he is a teacher.
Like I loved parts of it, but I didn't enjoy it all you know...
