2024.05.15 07:40 gamingboss2478 New fnaf game leaked

This new fnaf game will be made by James House and will be called FNaF: A new beginning, the game will focus around a new main character named George. This game is going to be a card game with cards and will take place in the fnaf 1 restaurant. There will be a hard mode, much shorter than the main game in which the main antagonist is scott cawthon. The hard mode is not Canon. Freddy will be a card in the game with the following stats, 10 attack, which is an okay amount because the average health for an enemy is 30, and freddy immediately dies upon attacking, he has 0 health, because he literally immediately dies, he also generates 1 blood which is what is used to place cards, he costs 0 blood. Freddy also has his own hero called golden Freddy, a hero decides the players health and gives them card type bonuses, meaning different animatronics have different bonuses depending on the hero, heroes also give players access to powers. Golden Freddy has 100 health and gives bonuses to Freddy cards, his power is the power to "eat" an enemy card which will replace it with an empty suit and give the player an endo skeleton, which is the same as Freddy but with 5 damage, you can also eat your own card to get a golden Freddy card to play, the golden Freddy is the most op card in the game, which is why eating your own card gives golden Freddy food poisoning lowering his health down to 2 and making every turn you do from then on until the end of the round deal 1 damage. The card does 50 damage. If anybody else would like to put leaks they found about this game feel free to comment, also I found my information in fnaf 1, some secret codes you put in the custom night mode on version 1 of the game give you secret pictures, and info, also scott forgot to get rid of some secrets in other game versions, the console versions don't work because it was another company who made the console ports.

2024.05.15 07:22 JustAMouseOnAPhone Should I report? And How?

I use to work for McDonald's, got fired a month or two ago. I had a habit of coming in 5-10 minutes late because I lived downtown, I had lived near but moved. I didn't want to quit because I cared about who I worked with which was my 2 nightshift mangers, and a co-employee, and he bullied the f*ck out the co-worker and kinda one of the managers. But before I was fired half, if not most, employees hated the GM.
When he transferred to the location I worked he fired LOT of workers. A few understandable but others were just dumb. He fired and banned two workers that were taking food, understandable. But he fired one for eating a fry out the fry station. Everyone at the location even the managers and cooks, but for some reason he was the only one who got fired without any other reason or, to my knowledge, warnings.
The GM is so rude he told the MANGER, "You should work on your appearance." The manager was fully dressed to code and requirement. meaning he was most likely talking about her face or weight, it clearly wasn't here hair since she never changed it back to stopped coloring her hair.
With the people who worked there that he bullied daily. My co-worker, he noticed when he first came, that she constantly came to work 30 minutes late or not come in but would also stay 1 hour+ late to help and make up for her lost time. He said he was being "fair" and told her he wouldn't fire her if she doesn't miss a day again. FOR 7 WHOLE MONTHS on the schedule HE PUT for her. Keep in mind he NEVER works graveyard, but those who did work Graveyard didn't care or mind. Every week he constantly barraged her with threats to fire her. Motherf*cker even called her one dad and YELLED at her over the phone. It was at the point where she was afraid of him because like most people these days, she has anxiety. One night she worked perfectly, everyone got there food and drinks, and restocked half the whole store, but when he suddenly came in super early, her hands were shaking with fear and she handed out two wrong orders. He would just flat out change her schedule without her permission or knowledge without warning or heads-up.
With the manger he bullied, because we were short-staffed and graveyard just so happen to constantly get the slow and lazy workers. Our time was on average high, 200-700. He told her that she was just bad at her job. He never let her change her schedule even if he changed it on her, even though she had to take her kid(s) to the doctors. He never messed with any other employee or manager schedule without permission.
Me, well we had a lazy employee. So me caring about who I worked with, was asked every time to come in on my day off. Only having 1 day off despite working for a disability company as my main job. And I was the only night shift worker that volunteered to come in 2 hours early to help on X-mas eve and day. I was so incredible, the mangers that day can vouch for me, that I cleared all 3 screens within the 1st hour of working there. My manager during night shift saw our time at 600, left to do something for 10 or 15 minutes. Came back and saw my and the bullied co-worker, me bagging and running food while other was at window handing orders and drinks out, got time down to around 100 or less. One day the lazy employee who actually speaks Spanish got put to a speaker since one cook didn't call in. I ask the employee, if she wanted to switch spots. She said she was told by the night manager to be there and I told her that I know and asked if she wanted to switch to kitchen since the kitchen spoke Spanish only. after telling her she called the GM and told him I was HARASSING her, career ruining accusation. GM calls the manager and asked if I did. She told him I didn't and all he did was tell the manager to send her home. Never came to ask me what happened or anything.
A LOT MORE things happen, but I'll skip to the end. I clocked out, came on time that day, and while on a game on my phone which I'm being timed on. The night manager called me into the OFFICE as I'm waiting for my ride and playing game. As she speaks I'm playing the game and she ask if I'm listening, I say yes but she doesn't believe me so asked what she said. I repeat word for word what she said, and we continued as I'm responding. GM doesn't like it so he tells me to get off my phone, I tell him I can't since I use money on the battle pass so I'm not letting it go to waste. He tells me to put it away and I say no because I'm off the clock and he can't tell me to do so. So he gets angry and makes me sign the termination paper work or whatever he had me sign. But because I put the wrong I put the wrong date and asked the manager for the company number, he tells me it. And I guess he felt like being an a*s he said as I WALKED AWAY, "Make sure you spell my name right." I have dyslexia and anxiety. He felt the need to make the comment so that he can have the last word.
The mangers quit because one reason, the GM. He fired anyone who he didn't like or spoke back to him. And yes I have screen shots, and screen records on my phone of all this evidence and even the lazy worker would say I harassed her so, I can show all evidence. The GM mad ethe place SOO toxic and full of hate and fear. Last thing, he constantly took pictures of the cameras to tell the manager to tell us get off our phones (we went on our phone when we had no customers and nothing else to restocked or clean. However not one of the back window which is where the lazy worker was always on her phone and letting cars pass her window because she had attitude and such. But the kitchen, eventually got to the point where they didn't even care enough to even wear gloves. I was hired to be a Overnight Crew Member, but I had to and could counting inventory, had a thumb print to do refunds, promos and do other stuff, but I promised to only do it for codes and promos when it was busy. I kept that promise till I left. But I ALSO working lobby cashier, and KITCHEN. When I went to kitchen. I listen to my music, but when using my pinky, WITH GLOVES ON, my manger told me to not do that. I even turned off my music when morning staff arrived.
Short story: I worked 6 out of 7 days, as a part-time worker with the ability to do managers and kitchen jobs. But because I live 15 minute drive away, and came in 5-10 minutes late. But on my time off while tired from the work day since we had the lazy worker, as well as from the 6th day, I wanted to relax. But the GM had his feelings hurt, I got fired. Should I report? and How?

2024.05.15 06:34 PainlessDeath09 Hypermiling a 7th Gen Accord!

Hypermiling a 7th Gen Accord!
Hypermiling a 7th Gen Accord in Bangalore Traffic
Ever wanted a D segment long ass old school sedan as a daily but been putting it off because of its horrendous fuel economy?
Well. While it’s no Maruti Suzuki, this 2003 7th Gen Accord really did surprise me quite a bit in this regard.
Back when I got this as my new daily, I never really cared or still care for fuel economy. But with a bit of curiosity (and necessity as for some reason, the car did not come with an economy gauge), I decided to take 3 days to conduct an experiment on how much I can squeeze out of this 2.4L motor.

Distance:

My office commute is about 16.6 kms one way. 33.2 kms two ways multiplied by three would be about 99.6 kms covered. The tank to tank method was used ofc but I also wanted a way to figure out instantaneous fuel economy so that it will help me optimise the fuel consumption on the go. One way to do this was to get an OBD scanner and directly talk to the car. However, I was not gonna splurge on a new Autel scanner(some models which would almost cost as much as my car’s value) just to measure fuel economy as they are incredibly expensive.

The scanner that surprised me:

Scouring through online products, I came across this thing. It’s an OBD scanner that uses your phone to connect and show you info and since it uses the OBD ELM 327 protocol, there are a host of apps on the AppStore that you can use to connect to it. And it was quite inexpensive at ₹300 ish, so I thought why not. Would double up as a review of accuracy for this thing as well.

K24A4:

The 7th gen Accord came with the K series K24A4 2.4L engine mated to a 5 speed torque converter. Enthusiasts would like you to believe that this is the same legendary K series K24 that’s capable of producing almost 500bhp without any forced induction and is the same thing that’s found on the later Accord’s and Acura’s. However, that couldn’t be more false.
Apart from sharing the same block, there’s very little that’s common between this and the K24Z2 or the K24Z3 that’s found in the 8th gen 2008-2013 Accord. The K24A4 uses an economy trim of VTEC and also produces less power and torque than the 2008 one. While both the engines have the same bore and stroke and hence the same displacement, the K24A4 has a lower compression ratio and is tuned differently hence produces almost 25hp lesser than the 2008 Accord. It also has a lower redline at 6700rpm.
A notable characteristic of the K24A4 is that unlike the Gen8 K24Z’s VTEC that has 3 lobed VTEC only on the intake side, the K24A4 has a staggered VTEC 4 lobed setup with lobed cams on both the intake and the exhaust valves. While this reduces it’s power efficacy, it also significantly decreases the hit on fuel economy when VTEC is engaged and as a bonus(or not, as I personally don’t like it), you get a distinct whine when VTEC crossover happens, something that’s unique and not present in other Honda’s.
The end result is a motor that’s down on power compared to the newer Accord but with significantly higher fuel economy.

Experiment begins:

Started off with a full tank, 3 days of office commute, I ended it at the petrol station with exactly 100.9 kms on the trip meter. The scanner read an average fuel economy of 9.33km/L. The fuel up was around 11.06 liters to the full tank.
Comparing this to the real values, 100.9/11.05 = 9.13kmpl. I was plenty surprised, not just by the car but also how accurate this ₹300 scanner was. Definitely a well worth purchase.
I should add this as a disclaimer, this was tested under rigorous hypermiling conditions with no bumper to bumper traffic and all the commutes on odd hours. With ample steady acceleration and maximum engine braking used with a whole lot of coasting and zero pedal to the floor acceleration. It was also the result of being very calculative when I had to slow down abusing the deceleration fuel cut-off everytime I had to shed speed and I’ve never used the brakes this less in my commute. Needless to say, it was torture for me to drive the car this way, with no flooring it or hitting the rev limiter and with me fighting the urges to open it up and send it or going anywhere as fast as I wanted to. So while I probably will never get this economy figure as a regular number, it was good to know what it’s capable of.

Interesting findings:

This leads me to also mention, while this is an economy trim of the K24, it is also, at the end of the day, a 2.4L engine. Something I’ve noticed is that, this car is incredibly sensitive to how it’s being driven, much more so than any other car I’ve driven. Despite the 9.13kmpl economy, driving it normally(not even fast, just slightly faster than me hypermiling it) results in a steep drop to 7.9kmpl on the scanner. Driving pedal to the metal, I have seen it drop to 6.3kmpl. Never have I seen fuel economy numbers drop that fast with just a slight change(not even a big difference) in driving style.
Something even more interesting is that this car basically makes zero difference if you leave the AC on or turn it off. I have seen cars whose economy increase by even 3-4kmpl with the AC turned on. Not sure if ya something specific to this car or it’s how it is with all Accord but yeah, found that quite interesting. So all things considered, I get around 7.5kmpl in my regular driving around the city.

K24A4, useless for performance. Or is it?

For the enthusiasts out there, I know your thinking and no this motor isn’t completely useless compared to the 2008 8th gen Accord. Well, depends on what you’re looking terms of mods.
Yes it produces less power. Yes it’s the economy trim of Vtec. However, there is a silver lining. With purely bolt on mods, the K24Z on the 8th gen Accord will produce more power as expected.
But if you have enough money to spend, the 7th gen Accord has significantly more potential than the 8th gen. The K24Z on the 8th gen has its exhaust manifold cast on to the head which means no aftermarket headers. It also has a plastic intake manifold so you can’t port and polish or extrude hone it like you can with the aluminium intake manifold on the older K series motors. Not to mention the compression ratio is higher than the older 7th gen so it won’t be as boost friendly. The 7th gen has multiple companies like Hondata offering bespoke and retrofit custom ECUs however there is no such support for the 8th Gen K24Z motors.
Here’s a 702bhp 7th gen Accord made by RaceConcepts in Bangalore reviewed by The Drivers Hub. The aftermarket for the K24Z on the 2008 8th is really weak compared to the civic and the earlier Accord.
So if you’re looking for an old D segment car that you can daily without breaking the bank on fuel costs or if you’re a hardcore enthusiast looking to build the fastest car that eats drag strips for breakfast, consider the 7th gen Accord!
PSA: Just stay away from the V6 of this generation. Not only does it return horrendous fuel economy, it’s also notorious for transmission failures to the point that there was a class action lawsuit filed against Honda back in 2004.
Cheers and happy motoring!

2024.05.15 06:00 Finaldragoon After three months, my journey to make it over the 160 wall is finally at its' end.

After three months, my journey to make it over the 160 wall is finally at its' end.
I've been chronicling my journey to beat the 160 wall with monthly posts(here, here, and here) and today I made my push. Liter was my first MLB over the course of this, with Kilo being number two during the event. With over 100 rainbow tickets and 120K+ gems stockpiled, I knew if I could get a copy of Crown, I could gold ticket her to MLB so she became number three after 450 pulls. Fourth came Mast right after using the gold molds from pulling so much on Crown's banner, and fifth came Maxwell right after by cashing in my 141 spare body selector. Three months of being unable to progress has finally come to an end. A look at my roster when everything was said and done.
Elysion - Mast(MLB), Diesel(LB2), Quiry(LB2), D: Killer Wife(LB1), Soline(LB1), Guillotine(LB1), Vesti(LB1), Miranda(LB1), Privaty, Helm, Brid, Signal
Missilis - Liter(MLB), Kilo(MLB), Maxwell(MLB), Tia(LB2), Naga(LB1), Jackal(LB1), Tove(LB1), Yuni(LB1), Laplace, Centi, Drake, Guilty, Admi, Pepper
Tetra - Volume(LB2), Nero(LB2), Sugar(LB1), Leona(LB1), Folkwang(LB1), Frima(LB1), Soda(LB1), Rosanna(LB1), Alice, Yan, Aria, Biscuit, Mary
Pilgrim - Crown(MLB), Dorothy, Snow White, Red Hood, Noah
All of the Pilgrims aside from Dorothy came from Crown's banner which is a huge bonus on top of breaking the wall. I guess the next step now is figuring where my wishlist goes now. To all the people that gave me advice along the way, thank you. Now I can actually play the game again.
And thank you to these five wonderful ladies who got me over the wall.

2024.05.15 05:28 dutchrj Axis Capitulates and States I own are given to non-aligned states

Axis Capitulates and States I own are given to non-aligned states
Why does this need to happen? Why can't it be fixed? I refused to join the Axis because if I do half of Africa is given to Vichy France who is guaranteed by Germany and/or it goes to Germany when Germany spontaneously takes Vichy France at some point during the game. If this happens then even if I take half the Soviet Union, Turkey, the Middle East, and the UK then offer this all to Germany I still can't get the land in Africa. I did exactly this and Germany would allow me to take lots of states as I had half the war score but not the ones in Africa. That land gets permanently given to Germany (can't even bid on it in the peace conference). Why does Germany get ownership (not merely occupation) of land before the peace conference? Why does it get this even when it never sends troops anywhere near much of this land? Germany should not ever get land in sub-Saharan Africa by doing something in France. There were never Germans fighting down there in WWII. That land should go to free France.
I do not need help from the Axis on anything. All the Axis does is send tons of divisions by sea getting many of them killed and then they clog my supply constrained front lines. They spontaneously leave and spend half their time at sea. I want to conquer all of Africa as non-aligned Ethiopia. I can militarily do this with less than 100k casualties, but wacky game mechanics keep getting in the way. The 125 or 185-day justification time when I am already at war with majors is also quite annoying. If I already took Saudi Arabia and Yemen, then Oman and Iraq know their next already. I should not have to wait half a year to invade them when I can take them both in a week. If the game was done better those states should join the Allies and attack me. I get the length of time early in the game but not late in the game when at war with the Allies. Everyone already knows my country is land grabbing by that point. The cat is way out of the bag. Trying to justify north out of South America to take the US as non-aligned Portugal also takes forever.
The Soviets ended up with some states in Africa I completely owned that France originally had and some states ended up non-aligned (I'm guessing the Allies did that). Wouldn't France as the winner of the war get their states back? If I own the states and I took them over from some other nation I'm still at war with, then they should remain mine. I was not involved in the peace conference. I can wipe the floor with anyone else and have all my core territory. I'm the one with all the troops present. The last state that should end up with sub–Saharan African land in my game is the Soviet Union. They never had a single soldier within 5,000 miles of there. Stalin would not want land there as he could never maintain influence over puppets that far away.
I now have four 34 width very expensive tank divisions stuck between a spontaneously created non-aligned state it will take 185 days to justify against and the allies. They are going to run out of supply and get destroyed before I can likely save them. This is on Ironman so no do overs. I can't delete them either and they're veterans. I also have one of my elite veteran supped up mountaineer divisions with tanks in it stuck. If I delete the divisions I lose all the XP and because the game thinks they're surrounded I lose 80% of the manpower and 100% of the equipment. I do not want to wait six months to produce more tanks and train up more divisions. I was looking forward to fighting the Allies pretty much alone but not with all this wackiness.
In another game I took all of Africa (every tile) then watched as Germany and Vichy France were getting beaten in Europe. I stupidly clicked for military access to Vichy France so I can save them with my 100 divisions sitting in Africa chilling then half of Africa went to Vichy France. Why would the game do this? I did not want territory I conquered going to a useless AI state in Europe. I never signed a non-aggression pact with them. I just wanted to stop the Axis from falling apart and needed access to Europe to do it. Why would Hitler or Petan deny >100 divisions of help when they are getting overrun by the Allies? I'm not giving half of Africa to the Axis so I can save their useless AI controlled states. I am the one who has the power here. I had 1 million soldiers chilling and doing nothing with many veteran level experience with level 9 attack generals. Why get all this military power if it means nothing?
If I join or help the Axis I get to lose territory I conquered. If I ignore the Axis and they capitulate then I lose territory to enemy factions that have no troops there and I have plenty of troops present. I have to give Italy a bloody nose in the Italo-Ethiopian War then hope they don't lose too badly to the Allies so Germany is able to survive. Every choice I can make is bad because of wacky game mechanics.
How is this possibly a sensible thing for the game to do?
Divisions stuck because of stupid peace conference nonsense should teleport back to your capital like divisions do when they are sent as volunteers. If you are a third party and not in a peace conference, then land you control should NEVER be given up. Nations you're at war with should not have the ability to carve out chunks of land you occupy and give them to non-aligned states (assuming that's what happened as the Soviets create Communist puppets).
All I want to do here is take all of Africa as non-aligned Ethiopia without crazy game mechanics getting in the way. Why can't they come up with sensical peace conferences and game mechanics?

2024.05.15 05:08 SuccMySchrode24 Looking For Guidance

Looking For Guidance
Tell me if I need to suck it up or not. I graduated college last year, interned at a sports tech company my juniosenior year and got hired as a CSM/Account Manager right out of college. I developed a good relationship with my current manager and he pretty much hand-picked me for the role. In a nutshell, I was in charge of 237 accounts (roughly 1400 users) and had a $2.1MM quota. I work with schools, so the budgets for sports extras are limited. I had a good year and was able to renew my entire book, plus expand my territory by about $100k after starting in our Q2. The company is young and fun, but they've changed how CSMs get paid every year. 3 years ago, CSMS were making an OTE of $52k with up to $20k in bonuses. Last year, I went over quota, was 1 of 6 to achieve a $5k bonus, and made roughly $58k. Not great, but I'm only one year out of college so hey, can't be too bad?
I weathered the storm last year, but my job was stressful. We're held to a standard of a 99% renewal rate, so a coach wanting to get rid of a product or downgrade means a lot. I was able to avoid about $90k in downgrades last year, but had 1 downgrade of $1,100 on a contract, which caused me to miss my 100% ARR bonus. This year, I met with my manager and our director and was complimented for having a good year and being a high-performer. The conversation then pivoted to explain how we're downsizing and we need to condense accounts. Since I was a high performer, they tasked me with handling the 4th largest account load in my department. For FY 23/24, I will be managing 360 accounts (roughly 2,160 users), and a quota of roughly $3.8mm. My new OTE - $53k with a bonus potential, that if I absolutely kill it, will net me $60k. Oh, I never mentioned, I'm encouraged to expand accounts and drive new revenue, but I don't get commission on expansion. That all goes to my AE's quota, which increased this year although he only achieved 60% last year.
Am I valid to feel discouraged? My manager has taken me under his wing for a while and wants to place me in an AE role, but do I really want to wait another year for that? Not to mention, AEs at my company have an OTE of $80k. I'm thinking an account management role is more of what I want to do before trying to jump to AE, but I'm not sure. I'm a skilled relationship builder, so I enjoy my current job to an extent, but want to make money. Just wanted to vent and hear other opinions of how others broke out of this kind of scenario. My biggest flaw is that I don't have experience and need to find something remote since my fiance is a traveling medical professional. What should I do to increase my skills aside from reading books and learning from the Youtube pros?

2024.05.15 04:44 Jake_0311 Markup & Cost plus

I just want to preface this with there is NO set markup for all builders. Every company is different. Different overhead. Different profit. When people say a “20%” standard, they have no idea what they are talking about or they are feeding you a bunch of BS. Production builders are able to charge a lower markup because they have a larger gross revenue. Custom builders that only do a few houses a year have larger markups because they have less gross revenue. Or they can have a lower markup because they have lower overhead or set their net margin at a lower number. The numbers are what they are. There is a reason that 95% of contractors go out of business within the first few years. They might be good at their trade but they are terrible at their numbers. Never go with a cost plus contractor. It is guaranteed that the number they give you is a low ball number to get the job. 100% of cost plus jobs will end at least 30-40% higher than what was originally quoted. Or they will never be completed. What happens then? Here are a few things I would like the cost plus guys to mull over and answer as well as the attorneys I have seen commenting on CP contracts:
  1. There is no universal definition of Cost Plus or Time & Material Contracts or billing, thus creating confusion and misunderstandings almost immediately in any contract. Attorneys practicing law in the same town will often have different definitions of what is a Cost Plus or Time & Material Contract.
  2. Lenders often will not lend on Cost Plus or Time & Material jobs unless there is a "not to exceed" clause. When the job goes beyond the not to exceed clause, you must have written authorization to do that work (signed, dated and completely priced out on a Change Work Order) or your client is not obligated to pay you for the work.
  3. Some states now have laws that specifically prohibit the use of Cost Plus contracts.
  4. Based on discussions with attorneys Cost Plus or Time & Material jobs generate lawsuits at a rate of 3 to 1, and arbitrations at 9 to 1 over Fixed Figure contracts.
  5. Cost Plus or Time & Material contracts are an easy way out of doing detailed project study and estimating. This increases the chances that the original "estimate" for work to be done will be low to very low. You risk accusations of violating the Good Faith & Fair Dealing law for "low balling" estimates. An estimate below the actual price will lead to a fight over money when the real costs start the original estimate. coming in, and the client is requested to pay more for the job than
  6. Because of the perception that on Cost Plus or Time & Material contracts the owner is required to pay for absolutely everything, many contractors do not write out Change Work Orders and have the owner sign them, falsely believing that they (the contractor) will be paid for all the work that they do on that job.
  7. Owners often go into a Cost Plus contract thinking they have ample money to cover the job. When the job reaches the 60 percent to 80 percent completion point, and the owners have made multiple changes to the job increasing the cost, they run out of money. Their claim will be that the contractor overcharged from the start of the job, and the contractor will be expected to finish
  8. For your own protection, you must keep an accurate day-to-day log of all labor, materials, subcontract and other fees or costs on the job to be able to verify your actual expenses to date. If you do not, depending on your contract, you may not be able to collect for undocumented expenses, regardless of what they are or how much work has been done.
  9. In addition, you must have in your possession every document from the job that has incurred a cost. This includes all time cards, invoices, or any other papers related to the project. If you lose any item, you may not be paid for it.
  10. With the need to keep very careful records on the jobs, you substantially increase the amount of meeting and preparatory time necessary for the job. Often this time will be three to four times the amount of time necessary to complete a Fixed Figure contract. Cost Plus or Time & Material jobs require at least two, and often three times as many meetings with the client to review job progress, billings, invoices, labor, etc. Who pays for the meeting time and the extra administration time to prep all the documents for labor and invoices from subs and suppliers?
  11. Who draws the plans and gets the permits on a Cost Plus or Time & Material job? If a mistake is made on the plans, who pays for the time it takes to redraw the plans; and who pays to tear out the mistake and rebuild it?
  12. Who pays for the engineering if the owner forgets to include it on the plans that they provide; and who pays for your downtime while you wait for these revisions?
  13. Suppose engineering on a portion of the job gets by the plans examiner, the inspector catches the problem, and the job has to shut down until the engineering is complete and new plans are drawn and ready to use. Who pays for the new plans and delays? Who pays for tearing out the wrong structural work completed, and the materials that are ruined due to tear out? Who pays for the additional labor needed to correct the problem? Who pays for the downtime for you and your crew, driving time; restart up time?
  14. Will the owner be willing to pay for your travel time to and from your office for meetings or discussions on problems that might arise on the job; or from the jobsite to your suppliers and back to the job site for material pickup that either they or you forgot?
  15. If you make a mistake on a Cost Plus or Time & Material job, who pays for it? Do you donate your time or is the client willing to pay For it? Who pays for ruined materials? Who pays to go get the new materials and the cost of the vehicle expense to do the pickup?
  16. Who makes up the material lists for jobs with Cost Plus or Time & Material contracts that are needed before the job starts? If you do, will you be paid for that time?
  17. Owners are far more prone to want to furnish some or all of the materials for their jobs when using a Cost Plus or Time & Material contract. The contractor is expected to guarantee those materials when installed, not to mention losing the markup on those materials. Who pays for the time to replace defective materials supplied by the owner?
  18. What happens when the owner is to supply some of the materials and they forget to buy a certain item or don't know what materials to bring to the jobsite? Who pays to get the forgotten items? What happens if it takes the owner two or three days (or longer) to get the needed materials to the jobsite? What do you and your crews do in the meantime, and who pays for that downtime?
  19. The owner goes to your supplier (with your permission) and charges materials for the job to your account. What happens if you send the owner to a certain supplier you normally use for materials, he purchases the materials, and then later claims that he could have purchased the same materials at another location at a better price? You gave him the higher priced supplier to go to, so you are responsible for the difference in cost.
  20. Cost Plus or Time & Material reviews show owners what you're paying for materials. This will increase the probability of complaints from owners that they could have bought the same item elsewhere for less money. It also leads to owners believing they only have to pay the amount that they could have bought the materials for.
  21. Owners expect you to be fully productive on their jobs for 8 hours a day. They will be looking over your shoulder constantly. You will seldom, if ever, get the job done as quickly as they are expecting you to do it. Will they be willing to pay for your state's mandated morning and afternoon breaks for your employees? Will they be willing to pay for smoke breaks, coffee breaks, mobile phone time? Will they pay for the time for you or one of your employees to escort an inspector through the job and answer questions? Who pays for the labor and materials to do required changes?
  22. The contractor must be far more diligent in policing employees so that they are productive on the job at all times, with no miscellaneous discussions or activities on or about anything other than the job they are working on. Again, this pertains to starting and quitting times, smoke breaks, coffee breaks, mobile phone time.
  23. It is very difficult to "compete" on Cost Plus commercial jobs, because larger construction companies will take these jobs at cost to build a presence with corporations that allocate multimillion- dollar projects on assignment basis as a result of favorable past performance.
  24. From the client's standpoint, Cost Plus contracts give the contractor little incentive to get in and get the job done. Instead, the contractor's incentive is to keep the clock running, especially if he doesn't have the next job lined up. Cost Plus jobs often run far longer than would be considered normal with a Fixed Fee contract.
  25. Owners believe that Cost Plus or Time & Material jobs will cost them less money to build. Therefore, they expect you to charge them less money for the work that you do (i.e. less than your normal overhead and profit). In most cases, owners believe that you should only make: Remodeling: 10 percent overhead and to 10 percent profit New home construction: 10 percent overhead and profit Specialty construction: 6 to 10 percent overhead and 5 to 10 percent profit This makes it extremely difficult for you to use your established markup on that job, especially when you have to show them your invoices at the normally required meetings where you review the job progress and expenses to date.
  26. Owners do their homework, put their job out for "Bid" at Cost Plus or Time & Material plus 6 percent, 7 percent or 8 percent maximum markup. They tell you if you don't want to bid that way, don't enter a bid. They also tell you that "You're not going to make your normal markup on my job!' In other words, take it or leave it.
  27. One way many contractors handle Cost Plus or Time & Material contracts is to take items that are considered overhead and stuff those costs into the job cost section. In court, a sharp expert witness will find the overhead items listed under job costs and accuse the contractor of "double dipping" on the job. This immediately paints the contractor as dishonest, making a win in court even more difficult.
  28. Most Cost Plus contracts give the owner the right to either select the subs for his job from a list supplied by the general contractor, or the owner can hire his own subcontractors that the owner will supervise during the job. What happens if subs hired by the owner don't adhere to the general contractor's time schedule? Who's responsible for delays and downtime caused by their lack of cooperation? What prevents the owner from suing the contractor for lack of supervision and other damages caused because the job did not get done on time?

2024.05.15 04:30 MickeyB223 Why IonQ is so exciting as an investor

IonQ are a humble company. They don’t dismiss their competitors, or speak badly about them. They simply say their technology is different, and they believe IonQs tech is more applicable in today’s market.
IonQ are constantly innovating. Rather than stopping when they hit their technical milestones, they continue to push R&D and look forward to what’s next.
They don’t hide anything. They share their bookings, and set modest goals rather than stretch goals.
$50m identified through federal budgets: They aren’t just focused on selling systems. They bid for RFPs for research purposes. They bid for contracts based on their roadmap, and get paid for completion of tasks that they’d otherwise need to complete anyway for their roadmap.
IonQ’s market cap isn’t rapidly growing at an alarming rate. It’s growing slow and steady as the company continues to grow.
What happens in Seattle:
They co-house engineering and R&D. They’re currently manufacturing 5 Forte systems, one of which is sold to Basel and will be used for Pharma applications. They have 100+ employees, and the cycle time for building a system is 6-12 months depending on the system orders. Once those 5 systems are sold they’re switching to Tempo manufacturing (AQ64) and the goal is to have their prototype built by end of next year.
How senior leadership answer questions about Chris Monroe and Jungsang Kim leaving:
They’re working at Duke University for future technology applications of quantum computing. They have an Ion patent trap (pun intended) so they’re technically still working at the company as an extended R&D department through the university. All new patents that come from Duke relating to Ion patents are given exclusively to IonQ.
I have over $20k invested in IonQ at this point. Rather than expect substantial returns in the near term, I’m genuinely excited to see how the company grows and impacts the larger market. This is an exciting company to follow, and we’re given a front row seat to the compute revolution of Quantum Computing

2024.05.15 04:09 MousseSensitive4044 ASK AND THOU SHALL RECEIVE!!! Unorthodox Gameplay 4: The Kitchen is on fire!

For context, I post cool teams that I made using some underplayed path or tactic, and on the last one, Unorthodox Gameplay 3 : Monarchnesis, a fellow user u/Alexandergus (COME, SAY HI TO EVERYONE) asked me to build a team with not only Anamnesis, but Berserker Helion as well... And as the title says : ASK AND THOU SHALL RECEIVE
Sidenote: If there's too much text for your liking, dear reader, feel free to skip to the summary part down bellow ;)
So, with that out of the way, let's get to strats!

Occultist

I took inspiration on a setup that ShuffleFM (Darkest Dungeon youtuber, twitch streamer and really good reference) showcased on one of his teams. The concept is that you have a Virtuoso Jester using Encore on Occultist, which proceeds to Chaotic Offering on his bonus turn, generating an Unlimited Power Token(UP). After that, when the regular Occ turn rolls in, he gets the second UP because of the turn start effect, which he originally used to nuke someone with Warlock's Burning Stars turn 1; on my case is to perform Aspirant Anamnesis and open the first turn with a really strong cleave, I also run Burning Stars as an option for larger enemies like size 2s or bosses.

Jester

As for the Jester, since I'm basing my entire schtick on Encore, I'm also running Solo and Finale. That's because you can actually use the dazed in your favor and the cooldowns sync. EG: Encore turn 1 > gets dazed and pushed to last turn 2 action order > Solo > Forward 3> gets Speed token and Jester, specially Virtuoso is really fast > goes first on turn 3 > uses Finale > Back 3 and dazed >If encounter's still going, Encore and Repeat. I topped him with Inspiring Tune for Stress heal (literally the best in the game) and Razor's Wit for poke.

Helion

Now let's talk about Helion. She likes the cleave since it helps her kill rank 4 in 1 turn with Iron Swan, specially ordained and modified enemies like elite and sturdy, not only that but as she's Berserk and is at Rank 1, I run Bleed Out as a strong option after I dealed with the backline; Bleed Out doesn't even have a cooldown, it "just" grants you winded tokens, which means you can spam it to stack monstrous bleeds. I just did act 3 and had 18 bleeds on the last phase for 5 turns (I crited). Another synergy is that after you cast Burning Stars at a chonky target, it gets combo; Bleed Out on Berserker on a combo tarket has 63% BLEED PIERCING. It's basically guaranteed (unless you're using this on Warlord, this bastard has 100 base... He's a VERY good reason to not go overboard on bleeds; not only that but if your whole team wants to bleed someone, you'll end up fighting for the same trinkets). For the rest of her kit, I had Toe to Toe for Taunt, Rooted and movement, Adrenaline Rush for heals and Bloodlust for really long fights and as an alternative to remove Winded tokens that isn't dependent on Adrenaline Rush's health threshold AND grants 30% more damage against bleeding targets. With Jester Encore, you can mix a ton of good sequences, specially in later stages of the fight, granting Helion bonus actions, for example stacking Bleed Out faster, or clearing winded with Bloodlust/ Adrenaline Rush/Toe to Toe+ and then hitting again with Bleed Out.

Plague Doctor

And to stitch the team together, I chose Plague Doctor as the Rank 4 hero, but not any Plague Doctor; Physician. I managed to weld together Physician, Anamnesis and Bleed Out and it's ...GOOD? The thing with Physician is that, except for Magnesium Rain that has a cooldown of 3 turns, she doesn't have a damaging skill to use. Instead, her supportive capabilities are enhanced, and they're great with this team because she provides much needed utility with crowd control, corpse clearing, heals and offensive tokens.
Usefulness Utility listed bellow!

Maps

For regions, try to prioritize the Shroud, for the bleed trinkets for Helion and Ocultist and other trinkets for the Jester, like Seamen's Boots and Compass.
Defensive trinkets on Helion aren't bad either, since she's gonna eat 80% of the hits thrown at her, so Tangle isn't a bad choice. Burning Stars ignores Block and Blinding Gas can help by "dodging" some heavy hitting moves.
Sprawl can be okay because of burn trinkets that can up the usefulness of Mag. Rain and speedy trinkets for Jester
Foetor is the lowest priority map to go, literally no one wants blight buffing trinkets and you even risk getting your heroes sick; I'd go if the map mission grants a good reward but that's about it.

Lair Boss matchups

Pets

They are pretty flexible on this team. I like the Rabbit here since everyone has trouble tanking hits, so the bonus HP goes a long way if you get it rolling(HMMM FLAPJACKS). Some good optins are: - The Tick to get the blood for guaranteed crit tokens and huge damage and bleeds - The Owl helps the debuffs from PD to stick and can provide good flow of Combat Items - The Pliskin can be good since the team is squishy and can use more sustain between fights - The Slime if you like running over debris and don't want to deal with negative tokens - This last one is highly experimental and I still have to test it, but it got to my attention that Larval Carrion Eater can be good as a Crit token Generator, specially since Anamnesis cleaves the whole party. On turn 2 you'd have only 1 UP at your turn which means you can either heal or Sac Stab something. If you have Stab+, you can use it on a corpse, kill it, generate another UP, heal 30%, gain a Block Token and a Crit token for next round, and on that round you'll have 3 UPs at your disposal to spend. This translates to 2 Anamnesis / Burning Stars casted on sequence, since you would spend 2 on this turn, and you would generate another one at the beginning of your next turn. Try this at your own courage and peril (and tell me the results later!)

Summary of the team:

Rank 4: Physician Plague Doctor
Emboldening Vapors Disorienting Blast Battlefield Medicine Blinding Gas* Magnesium Rain*
You can swap these with: Indiscriminate Science+ (heals without limited uses, good for Act 5), Ounce of Prevention for DOTS and disease prevention, Cause of Death+ if you want to nuke some large target that has a ton of bleed stacked into it, after Jester's Finale, you can use since he moves you into rank 3
Rank 3: Virtuoso Jester
Encore Solo Finale Inspiring Tune Razor's Wit
Rank 2: Aspirant Ocultist
Chaotic Offering Anamnesis Burning Stars Sacrificial Stab* Wyrd Reconstruction*
You can swap one of these with Binding Shadows if you're worried about shuffles, on Aspirant it moves you Forward 1 and can generate you a stack of UP
Rank 1 : Berserker* Helion
Iron Swan Toe to Toe Bleed Out Adrenaline Rush Bloodlust*
You can swap Bloodlust with: Raucous Revelry for a heal not dependant on limited uses, stress heal, and on upgrade, DBR Wicked Hack for better damage at rank 2 Breakthrough for Shuffles
As for the * on Berserker, is just that maybe it's a good idea changing the path depending on which act boss you're going against; the ones that came to mind are act 2 and 3. Vs act 2, Bleed Out gets absolutely no value so there's no reason to run Berserker, I'd recomend changing to Ravager for easier management of the lungs. You can also change to Carcass to better deal with high damage since apart from this path she doesn't generate blocks; I had her take every inn item I could buy to give her a better chance at survivability against the Focused Fault, but even then I got a few Deathblow checks; would recommend either running Cause of Death on PD with Berserker, or changing to Carcass to tank with Yawp. I'd also recommend not running Bloodlust if you're running Cause of Death on PD, since it clears all DOT for instant damage, making your turn go to waste, in this case just use Toe to Toe+ to get rid of Winded.
phew... this took a WHILE. Feel free to ask any questions about the team and tell me if you'd want some help with a specific path you'd like to play. ASK AND THOU SHALL RECEIVE
Heheh, have a good one! PS: I'm going straight to bed, but I'll try to answer you guys tomorrow. Good night!

2024.05.15 04:04 ThisIsMyBurnerCell Inflight Offer

Throw down acct.
Applied for Quest card on the Inflight offer page. Had a United representative’s code(friend of a friend) for bonus 5K miles after approval. Been past the 6-8 weeks.
Should I bother trying to call United to get the extra points? A) I don’t want to get shut out from MileagePlus and lose the whole signup bonus. B)I don’t want to burn the United rep.
Or does United kinda look the other way on these and they’ll just give me the extra?

from django.db import models from django.contrib.auth.models import AbstractUser, User from django.db.models.signals import post_save from django.dispatch import receiver # Create your models here. class UserProfile(models.Model): user = models.OneToOneField(User, on_delete=models.CASCADE) otp = models.CharField(max_length=6, blank=True) otp_expiry_time = models.DateTimeField(blank=True, null=True) class AdditionalData(models.Model): user_profile = models.OneToOneField(UserProfile, on_delete=models.CASCADE) firstname = models.CharField(max_length=100, blank=True) lastname = models.CharField(max_length=100, blank=True) dateofbirth = models.DateField(null=True, blank=True) phone_no = models.CharField(max_length=20, blank=True) country_origin = models.CharField(max_length=100, blank=True) city_origin = models.CharField(max_length=100, blank=True) u/receiver(post_save, sender=User) def create_user_profile(sender, instance, created, **kwargs): if created: UserProfile.objects.create(user=instance) @receiver(post_save, sender=User) def save_user_profile(sender, instance, **kwargs): instance.userprofile.save()

2024.05.15 03:20 mgcwnd Crypto scam or something more?

The other day, I got a text right after I signed up on a work-from-home site. It seemed a bit suspicious, but I decided to give it a shot.
They connected me with someone and started training me. Then, they sent me a link to a website that I could only open on my Safari mobile app. It looked like IMDb, but with a "like-" in front of it. They also asked me to install a crypto app for handling money.
My job was to move money between my crypto app and their site by requesting different numerical addresses. They gave me tasks, like watching 30 movie ads on their site. I had to watch each ad for at least 5 seconds before rating it. They paid me for each ad and offered bonuses.
On my first day, I made $100, and they said I could make over $5,000 a month. It sounded too good to be true, and I suspected the people I was dealing with might be bots. But I managed to transfer the $100 to my bank account via PayPal, so I felt hopeful.
The next day, they asked me to invest my own money, at least $100, to keep making profits. Then they wanted $245 more. I put in $345 but made $700 in four days.
Yesterday I moved the $345 I earned to my bank account so I had no financial risk on the line. Today, I got an $800 bonus for logging in for 5 days straight, which got me excited. But then it asked me to add $1200 more to keep going. Feeling stressed and not wanting to lose what I had earned, I agreed, using my crypto app to transfer the money from my bank.
But then, almost instantly, it demanded over $3400 more to continue. Now I'm stressed because I don't have that kind of money on hand. I reached out to customer service and realized how foolish I've been. They keep telling me to just put down the money, and I can continue.
I transferred $3000 from my savings to meet their demand, but it'll take three days to hit my bank account. Besides, I'm feeling very unsure if it's wise to gamble with it. I feel dumb, but there's this nagging feeling that if I pay up and keep going, it'll be hard to walk away. It's messing with my head.
Then I put down $500 just to get an extension so I have more time to meet the $3000 demand. I contacted my bank to see if they could help me get back the $1700 I've put down and maybe I could walk away. They filed a claim, but I don't know if anything will come of it, and they said it could take a while.
I've tried researching this scam online, but I haven't found anything like it. Does anyone have any idea what I'm dealing with or what to do? Any advice would be appreciated.

2024.05.15 03:17 dicktracy90 Paul Heyman's Infamous Shoot on Vince McMahon in 2001 Was Trimmed Down?

Long time lurker, first time poster.
I figured I'd give this shot here, in case I could get any help.
The infamous promo of Paul Heyman verbally destroying Vince McMahon on the SmackDown before Survivor Series 2001 on November 15, 2001 from Albany, NY was, and still is, one of the greatest of all time. It had everything in it, from Heyman discussing old school promoters such as Sam Mushnick and Don Owen, to tearing apart Vince McMahon's terrible business ventures outside of wrestling. Granted, it is all building towards the "Winner Takes All" main event a few nights later, and Heyman getting his comeuppance from Tazz, but it is so ruthless in its delivery.
Paul Heyman Promo on Vince McMahon 11/15/01
However, it might have been even more scathing.
Full disclosure: I love scouring vintage wrestling websites on Archive.org, looking at old news stories and seeing what might have came true and what was ultimately debunked. It's a complete giant waste of time, but I'm frequently intrigued on seeing how news was reported back then as compared to today's rapid-fire stories on Twitter and the like.
I came across the spoilers thread of the Smackdown tapings from 11/14/01 on LordsOfPain.net and caught this little bit when discussing the Paul Heyman promo on the taping:
Paul Heyman comes out to great heat from the crowd. Heyman wants to call Vince to his ring. Heyman pretty much trashes Vince on how he made wrestling into sports entertainment and trashed his failed football league. This prompts Vince to come out. Vince gets a huge pop from the crowd. Heyman pretty much tells him how he's ruined the names of Bruno Sammartino, Superstar Billy Graham, Bret Hart, and Shawn Michaels.
I was instantly intrigued. I didn't think I heard Sammartino and Superstar Billy Graham mentioned in the promos aired on the show. In fact, here is the transcript, credit to Cagematch.net, on that part of the promo it was mentioned:
You took Hulk Hogan's blood and you built Titan Towers. You stole Bret Hart's dream, and with that money, bought yourself an airplane with 'WWF' all over it. You did that, and you know it, you son of a bitch! You stole Shawn Michaels' smile, took your company public, and made yourself a billionaire. But not a self-made billionaire, like you like to tell everybody you are, oh no.
I started to scour all of the old dirtsheet websites that existed from back in the day and then came across RajahWWF.com. According to the article, here was the line apparently cut:
"It's not my fault. I'm not the one that lifts up my leg and pees all over the memory of Bruno Sammartino. I'm not the one that desecrates the memory of Superstar Billy Graham."
First, that's a killer line. Second, I could 100% see why this line might've been cut. Mr. Sammartino was still on the outs of the company, not making peace with the promotion he built until 2013, and Mr. Graham would make amends with WWE two years later.
With that said, I was wondering if the uncut version of this promo was ever released or leaked out to the internet or filmed fan cam style. I'd love to see it in context with the initial promo, and what the crowd reaction would have been like to that kind of line. I realize this is a bit of a long shot, but I wanted to see if anyone could possibly be of help.

2024.05.15 02:49 fender1878 Two Weeks on the Sun Princess: A Comprehensive Review

In case you don't know, the Sun Princess is Princess Cruises' latest behemoth ship. I just got back from a 2-week sailing and took meticulous notes on this epic new vessel. Here's my extremely detailed, no-BS review:

The Sheer Size is Nuts

When I say this ship is massive, I mean it's absolutely nuts how big this floating city is. Especially when you get off in ports and have to walk back down the dock to reboard - that's when the sheer scale of the Sun Princess really hits you. Even though it carries a ton of people, the only time it really felt crowded was during breakfast. The Eatery fills up quick and the International Cafe, which sits outside The Eatery doesn't lend itself well for crowds of people wiaint for their coffees. You kind of end up waiting in the middle of where the walking traffic moves.

The Medallion Life

Your entire cruise experience revolves around the new Medallion wearable device and app, for better or worse. I'll admit it has some creepy "Big Brother" vibes with how much it tracks your every movement and purchase. But the convenience it provides is undeniable.
The medallion is your modern day "cruise card" that you tap everywhere to make payments, order drinks, unlock your stateroom, get on/off the ship, and more. But what's crazy is the app can use the medallion to detect your location anywhere on board. Order a drink or meal through the app and the server will manage to find you anywhere on the ship to deliver it, usually within 15 minutes. Caveat: there were times when it took longer and other times when our order was marked "delivered" and it never arrived.
The medallion definitely feels like getting on/off the ship is way faster. The only time we ever waiting in line was for the few minutes it took people to run through security.
This made getting food/drinks almost too easy. On port days when we needed to get off the ship early for excursions, setting up a scheduled delivery of my Egg McMuffin, fruit plate in coffee was really convenient.
Fair warning though - if you're anti-tracking and value privacy over convenience, the ubiquitous Medallion system may not be for you.
Story: we were sitting by the Crooners bar having our nightly pre-dinner cocktail. The bar was packed on this night for some reason. A staff member in a suit started wandering the room, made eye contact with me from 40-feet away and then made a b-line for us. He wanted to sign us up for a wine/food pairing event they were having. I have to believe this is because of the tracking being done via the meddalion. They could see we drink our share of wine. It definitely felt like targeted marketing.

Premium Package Was Best for Us

We opted for the Premium beverage package at $80 per day and I'm glad we did for a few reasons:
  1. If you need to have more than one device connected to the internet at a time, Premium makes sense just based on that (you can have four devices). The cheaper Plus package only allows one device, which was a non-starter for me needing both my phone and laptop to be online. I'm unfortunately not able to just live off the grid for almost three weeks and need to periodically check in with my clients.
  2. The wine selection is way better with Premium vs Plus. As a wine drinker, the upgrade was 100% worth it.
  3. Two free speciality dining meals are included, which was clutch on our 2-week cruise to break up the repetition of the main dining rotation.
  4. Unlimited premium desserts and ice creams - a nice perk for those with a sweet tooth.
Basically, Premium removed almost any need to think about or worry over costs on board. For $80 per day, the premium drinks, speciality dining, better wines, desserts and internet made it an easy choice for our group's needs.
And for those wondering about the 15 drink per day limit (since there's almost a weekly post asking about it) - it was never an issue for me. I'm a scrotch drinker and to get a decent pour, you basically have to order a double. Even drinking doubles, I never got to 15 drinks/day. This even includes sea days where we'd typically have a mimosa or two with breakfast, a few cocktails/beers at the pool, an cocktail or two before dinner and then wine at dinner.

Staff & Service

I can't say enough about how incredible and friendly the service was across the board on the Sun Princess. Our room steward, waiters, bartenders - everyone went so above and beyond daily, it really elevated the experience. I'm always amazed how they remember everyone's names.
However, we did notice a clear slip in the quality of service in the second week compared to the first, likely due to a crew changeover partway through our sailing. Simple things like forgetting drink orders or getting meals wrong became more frequent from our new set of MDR servers.

Suites & Staterooms

We originally booked a balcony room. When the bid offer came in I followed some old advice and just placed bids on upgrades because "you don't have to take the offer if you don't like it." Well guess what, that's not the case anymore. My offer was accepted and we automatically became the proud recipients of a Reserve Mini-Suite for an additional $500. In hindsight, I'm glad it worked out. The room has noticably more space than a standard balcony room. These mini-suites are spacious, basically a separate living room and bedroom divided by a curtain you can close off. Having two TVs and an extra closet was great.
As mini-suite guests we also received a nice amenity of free premium wines in our room - on the second week they even topped us up with two more complementary bottles! I guess each week is looked at as a new sailing -- so you get two more bottles! Some older posts complained about the wine quality. It looks like it's been upgraded because we received a Pinot Noir and Chard from La Crema. Being California wine people, La Crema works great for us. If you can swing it, I'd highly recommend going for a mini-suite over a regular balcony.
That being said, I'd avoid the "Cabana" balcony suites. The layout is really bizarre and in my opinion a downgrade. When you walk out onto your balcony, it's not really a balcony. There's another area in front of your balcony that connects a few other cabana suites. The idea is that a few rooms share a private balcony with jacuzzi. However, it also means that walking out onto your balcony doesn't give you a private ocean view because there's this 20-30 feet of additional patio in front of you and everyone above you just looks down into your balcony area.

Dining Highs & Lows

Main Dining Rooms

It can be confusing because there are three floors (Decks 6, 7 and 8). We reserved dining in the MDR prior to the trip via the app for the first few days just so we knew there was a guaranteed place to eat. On night one, the dining room manager introduced himself to us and said he went ahead and booked our table for us every night of the trip. If we didn't show, it was fine.
Food quality in the main dining rooms (MDRs) was consistently good across breakfast and dinner. On port days, it's an "express breakfast" which just means a shorter list of options. Nothing mind-blowing, but solid and tasty. My biggest gripe here is the operating hours. On sea days, the MDR closes for breakfast at 9:00am. You basically have to choose between sleeping in a little, hitting the gym, or getting a decent breakfast.
Pro-Tip: Biggest breakfast tip is stay away from the scrammbled eggs -- they're gross. We figured out that the scrambled eggs come from a bag. If you want real, cracked eggs, either get an omelett or over easy/medium/hard/etc.

Reserve Suite Dining Access

The Reserve mini-suite gives you access to the Reserve Restaurant. It's a little bit more elevated of a dining experience and reservations aren't needed -- you just show up. We dined her a few times and it did feel more elevated. Unlike the MDR, the server in the Reserve Restaurant feels more personal because they're handling smaller groups.

Lido Deck

For more casual fare, the Lido deck had some surprises like an awesome made-to-order salad bar station that became my go-to for healthier meals between all the indulgent dining. The burger grill, taco station and pizza areas were pretty standard, but that salad bar slapped.

Lackluster Buffet

On the flip side, The Eatery buffet left a lot to be desired. Despite different themed stations, the quality was mid at best. We largely avoided eating at the buffet outside of quick breakfast grabs. The Eatery closes for breakfast around 10:00 AM. At which point if you move further into the ship, the restaurants that are normall Catch and Butcherblock become a buffet extension that's opened later -- it's kind of funky.
The layout of the buffet is weird and leaves people wondering if they're cutting in line especially when you go to the extended buffet at Catch/Butcherblock.
What's odd to me is you can go grab a million cheese plates, fruit plates or hummus/veggie plates at the buffet. But if you order those things through the Medallion app, it's not "complimentary." You have to pay like $4.99-$5.99 for those items. We still can't figure out why it costs $5 to order a tiny cheese plate but ordering a cheeseburger is free.

Specialty Dining Winners

We used our two speciality dining credits at Crown Grill and Butcher's Block. I was a little worried because I had read mixed reviews on here about both of these restaurants. However, both meals were really good and before you come at me, I'm a foodie guy -- I'd tell you if they sucked.
We chose Crown for my parent's anniversay dinner. The service was awesome and they made us all feel really special. The setup here is like a steakhouse, where you order your beef and then the sides are a la carte family style. We had a group of seven -- the manager just said "we'll bring you out all the sides, enough for your whole party" which was great.
The next week, we hit up Butcher's Block by Dario. I've never left a meal more full on a cruise ship than at this place. It's family style dining and they just bring out everything for you -- almost like a brazilian barbecue place. We started with a bread appetizer and a glass of wine while you wait for them to get the dining room setup. Then there's more bread on the table + veggies. Then the food starts coming out: beef tartar; beef carpaccio; etc. The main event is the massive tomahawks and porterhouse steaks they carve up tableside. They'll just keep putting beef on your plate until you beg them to stop. Finally, there's desert and a grappa digestif.
Both restaurants were great experiences and a very welcomed change from the MDR after a week of repetition. The food, service and overall vibe were a noticeable step up.

Spellbound

We also splurged one night for the Spellbound immersive magic/dinner experience and it was easily a cruise highlight despite the $150/pp price tag. After an elevated multi-course meal, you get ushered by a guy in a top hat into an exclusive hidden club. While waiting for the magic show, you hang out in their bar which is reminiscent of the Dinseyland Haunted Mansion. While enjoying your drink, there's a magician perorming more intement magic for everyone at the bar. Once they're ready for the show, you're brought into the room where the actual magic show takes place. Afterwards, you're welcome to hang out in the Spellbound bar and continue drinking.
If you're from LA, you probably know about the Magic Castle in Hollywood. Spellbound is an extension of the Magic Castle. Just like with the Magic Castle, you show up in formal wear. This means a coat and tie for the men and an evening gown/dress for the woman.
Overall, we really enjoyed it.

Room Service

This was hit or miss for us. You fill out the paper door hangar and place it on your doorknob before heading to bed. Then you hope and pray that it will actually arrive -- which in two of our instances, it never did. Your options are also super limited. You also may or may not receive what you actually ordered. With coffee for instance, you have a choice of ordering it to-go (paper cup) or stay (actual coffe cup). We always seemed to get the opposite of what we ordered to the point where it became a running joke for us.

International Cafe

This became our goto for a lot of things: coffee, snacks, quick breakfast food (pastries, coffee cake, avodcado toast, Egg McMuffins). Werid fact though: if you order the Egg McMuffin through the app, it comes as an egg patty just like McDonalds and with cheese. When you get the one at International Cafe, it's just an over easy egg and no cheese. Why they can't just be the same is odd.

Night Owl Needs

My main dining gripe was the lack of solid late night food options for us night owls. The Eatery buffet closed at an absurd 10:30pm, leaving only spotty room service or mobile ordering as the choices if you worked up an appetite after evening activities. More robust late-night casual dining would be appreciated.

Bars & Alcohol

Overall, great selection of cocktails. All of the bars have their own little theme and different menus. The ladies I was with were consitently impressed at the quality and thought of the cocktails at each bar. They were also super impressed with the quality of the glassware being used. I must admit, everything from the rocks glasses to the martini glasses really were beautiful.
If you just want straight spirits, you have to order a double to get a normal pour (they're actually measuring out the pours). That being said, with either Plus or Premium, you'll get a good selection of top quality booze.
You gotta try really hard to hit the 15-drink max. Some days I had drinks at breakfast, during the day, lunch, before dinner, during dinner and after dinner. I never hit my max.
One thing that impressed me was staff actually being concerned about drink quality. We were having drinks at one of the bars on the Lido deck. The supervisor was upset with the bartenders because they ran out of premium liquor and hadn't requested more. He made sure to remind them that when someone orders a premium drink they get a premium liquor -- no exceptions.
You also must checkout the Good Spirits bar. There's a few times throughout the night where you watch a live cocktail demonstration. The bartenders at GS are so fun and playful -- really makes for a great vibe.

Amenities - Hits & Misses

The gym facilities on board were a bit of a disappointment, especially for a new ship. While they had a nice assortment of cardio machines, the actual weight room was laughably small with only a few pieces of strength equipment that were always monopolized. Not a deal-breaker, but an area that could be improved.
The pool areas were nicely spread out across different sections of the Lido deck. On sailing days, there was typically a band, the DJ and then a random movie on the jumbotron. The random blasting of action movies at 3pm really ruined the pool vibe and it's typically when the deck would thin out. One minute you're relaxing in the jacuzzi, the next an action movie with explosions is shaking the pool area. It made no sense and seemed tailored for a much younger crowd despite this sailing's passengers being mostly older adults.

Technology & Support

In addition to the Medallion app, the overall internet speeds on board were fast and reliable enough for me to easily stay connected for basic work needs.
The technology support via the app's live chat feature, however, was utterly useless. Any time we had issues properly being charged for drink packages or had to modify reservations, the live chat was a time-wasting nightmare. You're clearly just talking to an outsourced rep with zero actual knowledge of Princess' systems or operations. Your best bet is to go in-person to the guest services desk.
