A story of a boy immersed in deep despair. Zein has been living alone for quite a long time. He was abused when he was young and his body, filled with scars. He is emotionally sensitive and has a bad temper. As he continues his depressing life, he meets a young man two years younger than him, Rain. His life began to change. He started feeling emotions that he had never felt before, happiness, belongingness, and love. Is Rain the light he needed to finally realize his worth?
Zein, a 21 year old, living in a dark apartment all by himself. He's now in college and is currently working as a part-time in a small mini mart.
Mini mart bell rings
"Welcome, please pick whatever you like and pay up" Zein's deep rusty voice greeted the customer. His gloomy emotion seems to be affecting the customer. "Do you have a box of cigars?" The customer asked. "Sorry but we ran out this morning. We're still restocking" Zein replied. "Seriously? Why build a mini mart when you can't sell what customers want?". The tone of the customer suddenly changed. "How about you get the fuck out of here before I cut your throat open" Zein glared at the customer which exited the building angrily. "I hate this shitty life".
Zein's shift finally ended and he went back to his apartment. His neighbors could feel the dark aura emitting from the room. "What are you weirdos looking at?!" Zein glared at the neighbors like how he glared at the customer. He entered his apartment and went to the kitchen to grab a knife. He pop open a box of cigarettes and started smoking while slowly cutting shallow cuts on his wrist. He has been doing this for a while. "Ugh!" Zein groans looking at the bathroom mirror.
Crash!
He threw the knife at the mirror breaking it to a million pieces. He hated his appearance. He was filled with scars. He had red eyes and slightly edged teeth. His hair was soft but rustled. He was tall with white pale skin. Many people would mistakenly think of him as a goth. At school, girl would flock around him asking him for something or sometimes even confessions. He always got confused how he got these confessions even with his appearance.
The morning came and he started to change to his uniform. He started his bike and went to school. He could answer any question at school but he is really a bad tempered person. On a specific event, he shouted at a teacher which gave him detention. His grades were always high but one specific subject, Moral, was always low. Well, it's obvious why.
Ring
The school bell rang which means class was about to begin. Their teacher, Mr. Ordoniez entered the classroom with a new student with him. "Class, before we start off, we have a new exchange student from Tokyo." The class was filled with murmurs as most of them haven't went to Tokyo yet. It's a seven hour ride from Ishikawa to Tokyo. "Quiet class. Sir Hakari, please introduce yourself." The teacher signalled the student to go in the middle of the classroom. He was slightly short with light and soft skin. His eyes were orange and brown, it looked like ambers in the sun. He had medium brown hair that we're a but curly but also tidy. He looked around the classroom and started to introduce himself smiling. "Good morning everyone. I'm Hakari Rain. I'm here as an exchange student. My parents work at the Kori.corp nearby so I requested to be an exchange student here instead. Nice to meet all of you and I hope you would take care of me" Rain's soft voice brightened the room and his smile lit up everyone's faces. "Ok Sir Hakari, please sit beside..." The teacher paused searching for an empty seat. "Beside Sir Iwatani." The teacher pointed the seat beside Zein. Everybody was shocked as they know Zein's behavior. His bad temper might spill out again. "Sir, why does he have to sit beside me. He can move his chair somewhere else you know" Zein was surprisingly calm about this but still, his glare darkened the room. "Ok, if you wish. Sir Hakari, you can move you chair anywhere you like." Rain dragged his chair away from Zein and he stole a glimpse of him. "Your eyes are so pretty" Rain accidentally said those words out loud. He blushed out of embarrassment as Zein glared at him. The room went silent as everyone looked at Rain blushing. "SORRY! I DIDN'T MEAN IT". Rain apologized and hurriedly sat on his seat. The class continued and he could see Zein sleeping during class. "Psst, psst." Zein looked up to see who was calling him. "PSSST!!" Zein looked at Rain calling him. "What do you want?" The teacher suddenly went silent and called Rain. "Mr Hakari, you seem to already know this since you're talking something that isn't connected to my topic so I'll ask you a question. What is the capital of the Philippines which I mentioned while discussing?" Rain went silent thinking about the answer "Manil-" Rain was about to say his answer when Zein interrupted. "Manila sir" Rain looked at Zein saying the correct answer before him. "Hey! That was my question" Rain pouted as he looked at Zein angrily. "Maybe because I'm better than you" Zein smirked. "EXCUSE ME? Sir, please another question". Rain demanded. "Ok? What is the most famous mountain here in Japan"? The teacher asked "MOUNT FUJI!" Rain shouted his answer. "Guess I am the better one heh" Rain smiled proudly and Zein's smirk slowly faded. "Another one sir" Zein demanded next. "Ok? What continent does Japan belong to?". "Asia of course." Zein immediately replied. Rain's face could be seen and he looked very annoyed. Both of them kept demanding more questions until the class finished and in the end, Zein answered the most questions while Rain was one point behind.
Ring
The bell rang signalling everyone to go to lunch. "Who's better little mouse?" Zein smirked and went out to lunch. "This isn't over." Rain whispered to himself and sat down at his table. Zein exited the classroom and everyone started to crowd around Rain. "Wow you're so smart! I can't believe you stood up to Zein like that!" A student excitedly complimented Rain. "What's with Zein anyway? He's not that bad." Everyone went silent. "He's feared by everyone because of his bad temper. Rumor has it that he killed a student once" Another student replied. "Pfft that's just rumors. Turns out that student transferred to another school." A blue haired boy abruptly gave info about the rumors. "Hey there! I'm Nikko. Can we be friends?" Nikko went all out to greet Rain and it seemed a bit overwhelming. "Oh? Not much if a talker? Don't worry it's ok!" Nikko smiled and patted Rain's head.

Heh. He thought he could answer more questions than me. Pathetic. I've been going over and over to that class for two years. I know the questions and the answers. Even if I don't study, I can answer any question. He was very competitive. I like it.

Hi, I am not married, have no children, and most of my small golfing circle is spread out geographically. So I play as a single almost 100% of the time for my mid-week rounds. I've played 3 rounds at the new club so far and don't know anyone there. Generally speaking, how should I handle situations where I come up on a group as a single? I got paired up with 3 members on my last round, and we were playing ready golf and finished the round in 3:45. By about 14, a single in a cart had made his way up to us and I asked one of the others in the group if we should let him play through. His response was essentially "Fuck him," which took me aback.
Then I read a comment here which said that single players at private clubs typically get no courtesy on the course. I imagine that I will be the single in this situation very soon, and I don't want to step on any toes as a new member. How should I handle playing as a random single? Do I be sure to hang way back and let them make the decision to wave me up?
Also, any other general tips or pieces of advice for being a new member is greatly appreciated.
Additional info: My membership is a "limited golf" membership which means I can play S-Th after 2 pm from May - Sept. From Oct - Apr I can play 7 days a week after 12 noon. I have access to all other club amenities, driving range, pool, restaurant, events, etc. I value reasonably quick play, think I'm friendly/funny/witty, and 90% of the time I'm paired up with someone we have a great time. I just try to be a pleasant person to golf with and my HC is 16.1 right now.

Hi all. I'm coming here because there seems to be a lack of info online from what I've researched. I'm looking to study at one of the Universities of Applied Science in the Fall of 2025 for a mechanical engineering degree (about to start access courses through Boswell beta to match Dutch VWO w/ requirements). From what i gather the dep of education does not give out direct subsidized loans if it isn't an approved US school on the FAFSA (Vriej Universiteit Amsterdam being the exception). Are there any other routes to get financing besides going to a credit union / private lender? Obviously rates are not going to be as good as well as repayment terms. Figured someone in this sub has experienced this. Thanks in advance

She does delete her account off Japan Cupid. Unlike a normal scam artist, who may only have 1 or 2 photos, she has several photos on her profile. My trust in her grows a bit seeing that. She then privately messaged me several more photos of her. She asked me for some photos, which I sent. She then sends back happy and heartfelt emojis. She told me she doesn’t date Asian men anymore because they were violent to her in the past and her last boyfriend cheated on her. She talked about how she didn’t want to fight with me. She also said we could talk about any topic. She would compliment me often, as I did for her. Of course, on my profile page, I try to post my best pictures. Throughout my life, I have had many different hairstyles. She even mentioned this and got very happy and asked if I was a hairstylist. The spam of talking between us was from January 20th, 2024, to March 24th, 2024. On JPNDate, there is an upgrade system. You need Blue Diamond to chat with others. Crown to send videos. Blue Diamond is 20 dollars per month, and Crown is 80 dollars per month. I got the Blue Diamond membership at first. It showed her with it too. After a day or two, she asked me to upgrade like she did to the Crown membership so she could send me a video. I upgraded it, and she did actually send me a video. All pictures and the video match the same person and the same face. Some pictures were in different locations, and some were like three different pictures in the same place. We then later buy a 6-month Crown membership for each other because it is cheaper than 1 month at a time. I bought it for her, and she bought it for me. At this point, I start to believe. This person was giving me all their time. They reply very often, and their texting time was the same as Japan timezones every single day. They spoke not only English but also Japanese almost fluently. However, they did let me know that they're still learning English and sometimes use a translator. She let me know that this website has something called a mall. This should have been red flag number 2. You pay 1 American dollar for each gold point. Paypal is the only thing that works. I googled it and couldn’t get a clear answer. She said whatever I bought her, she would buy me as well. She asked if I liked necklaces or charms. I said anything was fine. She wanted me to pick up a necklace. At first, she picked up a $1,000 necklace from the site mall and asked me. I said no; that's way too much money for that. She said how about a 300-dollar Jade Romance charm. She told me to get her white one; she would get me the green one. I questioned if she was legit. She started crying. She somehow convinced me at the time that she was legit again. I did buy it. A few weeks later, I did receive the overpriced Green Jade Romance love charm to my address from her. I never told her which day exactly my tracking information said it would come to my house, but I asked her, and her tracking date was the same week as mine. By the way something almost the same as this necklace is 12 dollars on Amazon. It also broke when I got it in the mail. Probably cost them 2 cent to make. For the next few days, we had a wonderful, happy conversation. It is late January, and I know Valentine's Day is coming. I offered to get her flowers. I got her flowers and chocolate at a very high price of multiple hundred dollars. She then gets so happy. She told me many times how she wanted to go to America and find me. I told them I would pay for anything they wanted when they were in America because I was in love. This was a big, big, big mistake. They then asked if I could give them 1500 dollars to buy a plane ticket. Never give money to people you never meet in real life, folks. Don’t be dumb like me. Turns out the ticket was actually 2100, so they asked for another 500 dollars the next day, claiming their friend let them borrow the money, and they paid the difference. They did show me a picture of a plane ticket. With the name Yomi and the correct airports in Tokyo and San Francisco. This gave me more trust in them; I got a lot of photos, videos, and even a picture of a plane ticket. At some point, I talked to them about social media. They claim to only have Skype and Line. I found it very hard to believe a woman in her 20s wasn’t on Instagram or Tik Tok. I went on Instagram and typed Yomi, and I found a Yomi who looked just like her. This made me think: why did she lie? What confused me is that all the pictures on her Instagram were different from the ones she sent me, other than one image that was the same. Meaning that the images were not clearly stolen from there. I looked up JPNDate online; there isn’t much info on this website (Right Now), other than one reddit forum from 1 year ago. Someone said something about being scammed by an IDOL on this site. They also said the website wasn’t in Japan but in China. I was wondering why I never saw new females joining the website; it was the same 23 pages worth of them. I wanted to test the website to see if it was legit. I made another account, a fake male account with AI artwork. It was approved in one second. I then made a fake female account; it said pending approval. It has now been 2 weeks since I made that account, and it still says pending approval. This means all the women on this website have to be fake actors. There is also a setting on JPNDate to see who has been online last or which accounts are the oldest. When I asked weeks before, Yomi claimed she had been on this website only for a short time. Her oldest picture was dated October 20, 2023. Yet she has the sixth-oldest account on JPNDate, according to the website. The reddit forum I talked about before was over a year old. When I was on this website for a month, at least 10 other women tried to text me. There was this one profile of a woman from Taiwan, age 20. She texted me three times in one month. When I joined, her age was listed as 20, and at some point, she changed her age to 25 on her profile. I ignored all these women. This proves again that all these women are fake. I do think they are women based on how they type, but they are not truthful like they act like they are. As I write this, I just realized this is Yomi's sister; it matches the other Yomi account's sister tag. I knew this website wasn’t telling the truth. I found the JPNDate IP address and tracked it to a server in Hong Kong, China, hosted by Alibaba cloud servers. Reddit was right; the website is Chinese. I took pictures of the website code just in case. I asked Yomi if she knew Alibaba. Then she asked if I’m going to China—a very strange follow-up question. At this point, I was confused. Who is Yomi? I couldn’t find anything about Miyuki Miyamoto, only Yomi. On Yomi Instagram, she speaks Chinese, not Japanese. I started to think there are no Japanese women on this website like they claim to be. She does speak Japanese, though. I started using more than 10 different software programs to track who Yomi was. I found like 1000 pictures of an idol, WeChat model, singer, dancer, person on endless Chinese dating sites, and a valiant professional gamer part of the AI’U agency for over 8 years. I found two other Instagram accounts with Yomi's face. Another account in Chinese with an idol name other than Yomi also had a Facebook page. The Chinese account has a post about her going to Australia in early 2024, where she is typing in English words. I also found an account where she speaks only Korean on Instagram. I also found a tik-tok where someone dances and looks 100% the same as Yomi, to whom I’m talking. The part that is crazy is that none of the images are 100% the same, but the person is the same in all of them. This shocked me; I follow all the accounts. I saw the stories daily to see who this person was. Her Yomi account is just her normal pictures and atm company or something. Her Korean account is about traveling to Singapore, Spain, and South Korea. She also posts a lot about Disney toys here. When I talked to the scammer about Disney, I had no idea about this. At this point, I knew that many men had been scammed out of money for fake love, not just me. These women are real women. However, there are actors pretending to be in love. They will crush your heart and call you names after a few weeks if you don’t buy their stuff. It has to be from JPNdate Mall only, nowhere else. JPNdate Mall prices are crazy high. I am not sure if the point of the website is just for money or if it is actually for women to study English or what. Chinese women, pretending to be Japanese (most of them), that have connections to Korean music and gaming on professional teams. Man, what a hell of a story this is. This sounds like a Hollywood movie, but it's real, or at least partly. At this point, everything I say seems to be true based on what I know. Yomi told me early on that she had one older sister and one younger brother. It seems like she is actually a twin, and she is the younger sister. Yomi claims to be 25, but I think she is closer to 27 or 28 based on finding a listing of her work in 2015 at Twitch Gaming. You have to be 18 or older to work at Twitch gaming, unless your parents sign things. When I showed the pictures I found to Yomi on JPNdate, she played the victim card on me. Saying she thinks I’m a liar and she wants to break up. Then she gave me her Skype account to try to prove it was legit, and all the other images and accounts were stolen and fake. Her Skype name is Rose, with a One Piece picture. She sent me many voice clips, crying, trying to convince me that she was real. I put them in software, and the voice was 30% human, 70% AI. Clearly, a woman is changing her Chinese or Korean voice to sound Japanese. A PC gamer would know how to do this; they do it all the time to troll. Yomi told me she didn’t play video games anymore, but I found a picture that wasn’t that old of a woman who looked the same as her; she had a Nintendo Switch with a white OLED in it. Btw it’s a known fact that Yomi uses software to cheat in the Pc FPS games. I can’t let Yomi, her sister, and her idol friends scam men for their time and money. Yomi Chiense's name is Vera Yuanxin (维拉). Her twin sister goes by veravera_zhangg. Yomi “deleted her profile” when I exposed her. But Yomi is still there with no pictures. Two they clearly have other accounts with people who look like she just changed hairstyle, talking and trying to scam other men. Remember when I said the anime part was important? On Yomi's Korean account, she has a friend with whom she talks about Digimon. She gave him a Disney toy. She told me she wanted to cosplay a fox; his profile is a fox. There is just so much proof that these are the same people. Later someone hit me up on Reddit from the Phillippines and told me how the same person Yomi scammed them. How for months Yomi promise them so many things. Then when they said it came to going on the plane to visit him they said they were sick or dying or something. Yomi also made a fake Instagram pretending to be Joe Biden and sent me a friend invite. I messaged and it was so funny how bad it was on their part. I said “Yomi are you trolling me?” then they deleted their account. This was on April 6th, 2024. Yomi tries so hard but use a lot of cheap things that are clearly fake like ai artwork, bots for like at ai_u agency, and fake profiles where she comments herself and attacks anyone who calls her out fairly. After exposing Jpndate they Ip ban my address lol. Then on social media joke about attacking me. If you call out their BS they threaten your family and yourself. Just stay away from all these sites if you're going to date online use well-known legit sites. I've heard TNWM many many times before, of course. Today it came on Pandora and the female backing vocals were much more prominent, with one line seeming to be solo female. I looked at the song info and no alternate version was listed.
Is there an alternate version or am I going out of my mind? Was it always like this and I never noticed?

TL:DR Found an odd business in Albemarle County and trying to learn more about it.
What's up with that tile? Well, it's the rabbit hole I just went down. Recently, I've been hearing some large explosions, the kind that may be an extremely powerful target practice explosive. So, looking around at places that they may have originated from, I found a Google Maps business listing for "erkels hunting". I'm not saying that's definitely where it's coming from, but target practice and hunting do tend to go together.
So, if you view the information, there is almost nothing on Google Maps. No category, no website, no phone number, just a vague address: I-64 (although its not accessible from the interstate), Greenwood, VA 22943. You can't even suggest an edit, which leads me to believe someone has "claimed" this business to purposely keep the information limited. Where do you go from there? GIS search of course. The land is owned by "Yeorvelah LLC". Pulling that thread, leads you to a business that is known by two public names: Deuteronomy Press and Farfields Farm.
Farfields Farm seems to be the most open thing about this company. They have a Facebook page, and a Google Maps listing with a little more info (still no phone number or website, beyond a storefront website). They sell various herbal remedies.
Then, there's Deuteronomy Press. They have a website and a Facebook page, but absolutely no information at all besides their business, which is publishing religious and spiritual inspired books. The only way to contact is through a website form.

During Covid, I developed some mental and physical health issues. Let’s just say I’ve spent the last few years as a recluse, in a self imposed lock down. I stopped socializing with friends, rarely left the house and couldn’t even get out of bed most days. I did some remote part time work for my parents company on and off, rather they pushed me to do it as they were afraid I might never get out of this rut. However, I don’t want to live like this anymore. I want to be financially independent and need to build a career.

Work Experience - All in South Asia
- Fresh out of uni, I worked in marketing for an advertising agency.
- 3 years, as co-founder, at my manufacturing start up. Had to shut it down late 2019.
- Post covid - Part time work, on and off, for my parents company, managing a small team. Analyzing reports, creating short term strategies, lead generation, performance evaluation etc.
- Due to my mental health issues, I feel like I’m rusty, don’t have any transferable skills and starting from scratch.
- I’m unsure if my ’ancient’ work experience, counts at this point. I never worked in corporate. I don’t have ‘modern’ work experience.
- I’ll be in France and my french is at beginner B1 level at best. I’m taking regular classes though, would make a lot more progress in a year.
- 100% Remote work, however I am open to office work, as long as it’s not a corporate environment.
- Jobs with scope for career advancement/transferable skills. (I came across VA/Data Entry jobs but I worry if I can leverage this experience to something bigger or long term)
- My ideal job is somewhere I’d have to be a jack of all trades. I love variety in my work. Working with cross functional teams, different stakeholders would make me want to work 14 hours a day. However, I won’t be picky at this point. I’ll take whatever I can get.
- I thought of getting a part time job in retail/restaurants/hospitality etc to build confidence and gain people skills. Is this a crazy idea given my circumstances?
- I’ve looked into online training courses on Coursera and Udemy and certifications from Salesforce to become an admin or getting into project management. I’m aware the competition for entry level jobs in these fields is brutal, but I can’t think of any other options.
- I’m also interested in the healthcare industry. Is there a degree or course I could finish in a year or so that would get me an admin role in this sector? I’m fine with a caregiver role too but I’m deathly afraid of bodily fluids. Is there some sort of counseling, training, therapy roles I could get without a degree in science?

Breaking News tonight from the Apollo 11 memorial landing site, as Admiral Adam Vir and Captains Warren Richards and Mary Chavez were rescued from the Pacific Ocean, following a journey that was supposed to be historical, turned harrowing. Amy Grey comes to us this morning with the story.
Thank you Julie, it was only a week ago here on the historic Cape Canaveral launch site, that the reconstructed Saturn V rocket was launched by the UNSC International Space and Aeronautics Division on the two thousand and fifty first anniversary of the original Apollo 11 mission. On board The reconstructed rocket were astronauts Fleet Admiral Adam Vir, head of the UNSC deep space exploration division, Captain Warren Richards five year veteran and historical aeronautics expert, and Mary Chavez, six year shuttle pilot veteran, and communications specialist.
The reconstructed Saturn V rocket took off thirty minutes behind schedule at 10:03 GMT July 16 after delays attributed to engineering standbys. However, reports by UNSC investigation early this morning indicate that the delays were called for by engineering head Jade Clein who noticed something strange during her final checks of the Saturn V recreated rocket.
In an interview early today, flight director, Aaliyah Seif of the Apollo re-creation mission informed outlets that there was evidence of attempted tampering on the hull of the Saturn V rocket. The tampering case in the shape of these small silver tape strips covering loosened bolts along one of the Saturn V side panels. Engineers stated that the tape was not heat resistant and would have burned off in time to rattle the bolts loose and, likely, cause a devastating spin that would destroy the rocket.
While this attempted tampering was thwarted, the mission would only become more dire. A sudden and shocking report by Mericanda News 5 showed an uncut image of an unknown alien hybrid woman claiming that the UN President had ordered the attempted assassination of Admiral Vir, in conjunction with an audio recording by Admiral Colter Massie, Head of the Galactic intelligence division and known isolationist, that admitted to the attempted assassination of Admiral Vir, and the acquisition of twenty Thunderhawk’s, which were used to harry the Saturn V on its way to the moon. Admiral Kelly, longtime friend of Admiral Vir, corroborated the story, saying she caught General Massie just after he ordered the deployment of the twenty Thunderhawk’s. During their conversion, he attempted to kill her, before being detained by two members of Admiral Vir's crew, and was later seen being escorted into custody by Military Police.
Indeed, footage has been captured from the hull of the Saturn V, showing approximately twenty Thunderhawk’s attempting to destroy the rocket while Rundi remote piloted drones and an unknown group of what appear to be racing jets, fought back to delay the attack, while word was sent to the UNSC to deploy F-90 Darkfire pilots to assist. This all after communications between Houston and the rocket were sabotaged shortly after leaving orbit. The F-90 Darkfire pilots were able to arrive on time to rescue the rocket, though a hole was reportedly torn in the hull, sucking Admiral Vir out into space. Luckily, he was later recovered and returned to his ship without any injuries. Patch teams were then able to repair the torn hull and the astronauts completed their mission landing to crowds on the moon and returning to earth on time, landing in the Pacific Ocean only nine miles away from the waiting ship.
All three astronauts were recovered and are reported to be in good health.
The investigation into the UN president's involvement is still ongoing at this time, however preliminary reports from the Global Bureau of Investigation suggest evidence is both staggering and damning to the current UN president, who earlier today, attempted to cut all ties to the sabotage efforts, saying she was framed. Political experts report that, even assuming her innocence, she will likely not last to the end of her term.
International News Network was able to interview Admiral Vir shortly after his landing while still on board the rescuing ship UNSS Victory.
Here is what the Admiral had to say:
"I find it... Really very disheartening that someone we all trusted, and someone that we all should have looked up to could do something like this. It really is a heinous demonstration of what political corruption can lead people to do."
"And how do you feel, personally about all of this?"
"Personally, I... well to be honest I am hurt and appalled. Not to mention that I fear for the safety of my family and my friends. Every day I wonder if my involvement with them is going to get someone I love killed... The thought haunts me, but I hope after all of this is over I... and all of us can breathe a little easier."
"Were you scared?"
"I don't think that even needs to be a question. Of course I was scared, getting sucked out of your spaceship isn't ideal."
"What do you hope will happen now?"
"I hope that justice can be upheld to those who deserve it."
"What do you have to say to the UN president."

”So?”
"I have nothing to say. Wouldn't want to waste the air.”

What followed would be one of the largest scandals in recent political history. At some point an unknown number of classified government documents was leaked onto the internet, and after that it was all over for the Presidency. Thousands of enterprising humans, and aliens alike, viewed the documents to discover all the underhanded and dirty things which had been going on in the UN governmental body over the past few years. Forensic accounting experts (mostly Tesraki), uncovered plenty of fiscal tampering which shed light on plenty of isolationist related projects and bank accounts. There was even evidence that they had something to do with the original assassination attempt against Admiral Vir so many months ago. The drama had even managed to capture the attention of Rundi political experts and Vrul computer science geniuses, and together they unearthed a world of unfathomable, but not unexpected corruption. The process to remove the UN president from office was probably one of the fastest movements of human government ever seen by UN congressional leaders, who were likely trying their very best to distance themselves from association with the president, who despite not being the only one involved, had become the political scapegoat for everyone else that had a supposed link with isolationism.
Even the VP fell under suspicion and was watched closely for the rest of his term.
Admiral Massie and the UN President were placed under arrest and set up for court dates in the nearing future, though everyone saw a long and arduous litigation process ahead. Even Ramirez's family had filed for damages against the government after the news came to light, confirming that their son had been shot as collateral in one of the UN presidents plans to assassinate Admiral Vir. They settled out of court to the tune of an unknown, but impressive sum of money.
No one really knew how much, but a couple months later Ramirez's younger sister was seen training at one of the most prestigious Olympic academies on earth.
Ramirez himself was suddenly able to afford housing on the moon in a condo just next door to his best friend, though no one else inquired further.
The Rundi chairwoman came forward with her own investigation, admitting to being suspicious for a long time though she feared accusations without proper proof. Admiral Vir was seen having lunch with her not so many months after the events took place, suggesting that the trust between the two of them had not been completely dissolved. With much of the isolationist element gone from government, public policy began to lean heavily towards integration with the alliance. The occasional isolationist demonstration or protest was held, but none of them managed to gain traction.
Admiral Vir was finding himself more important than ever, though it was to his chagrin that his ship was grounded for the intervening months while the investigation continued.
No one was entirely sure what the future held.

Admiral Vir stepped into Admiral Kelly's office. The last time he had actually visited her here had been over a few years ago, before his promotion to captain of the Harbinger. It seemed so distant now, and he never expected to walk into her office with a star on his shoulder. She stood as he entered, and the two of them shook hands, ignoring all the stuffy formalities that usually come with the meeting of two military officers.
The wall behind her was decorated with a myriad of metals and awards she had received over her career, and he couldn't help but note the slight tinge of grey he could see forming in her hair. He knew that feeling, he was going prematurely white much to his chagrin. She stood and the two of them shook hands.
"Vir."
"Kelly."
She motioned him to sit, and he sat, sighing lightly as he had been on his feet all day consulting with political figures and other members of the UNSC.
"A strange couple months wouldn't you say?”
"Tell me about it."
Kelly reached under her desk and withdrew an amber bottle which she placed between them,
"I always forget; do you drink?"
"On occasion."
"Well consider this an occasion."
She said, popping off the top and pouring two glasses for them. She handed his across the desk and he leaned back in his seat cupping the cool glass in both hands.
She swirled the amber liquid around in her glass,
"So what are your plans after all this?”
He took a sip of water warmed by the burning liquid,
"Hoping things will go back to normal and I can go back to traveling the galaxy."
Kelly grunted,
"A simple man with simple motivations."
He laughed,
"Sometimes I think a stupid man with simple motivations."
She chuckled then grew serious,
"A lot of people make the mistake of assuming simple people don't have the intelligence to match. Some people assume that trusting means gullible means dumb. Just because we are trusting and expect others to do the right thing is not necessarily a fault. I believe there is a kind of beauty in assuming the fundamental goodness of humanity."
Admiral Vir shook his head,
"How can you after seeing what we have seen?”
"How can you not?"
She shrugged,
"We always knew that politicians were corrupt, but think about everything else we have seen."
Admiral Vir nodded slowly,
"The enthusiasm for the Apollo 11 recreation mission, the people who flew up to help us. All of those people who went digging through years of information just to uncover the truth."
She raised her glass,
"Precisely. Goodness in humanity is all around us, but we tend to overlook the good in favor of the bad."
She placed her hat on the desk and sighed,
"It is up to good people to keep their goodness going even when it might seem easier to give into the bad. I have and will always believe in the fundamental good of humanity. Some may call it naive, or even stupid. Others have said I have a romanticized view of a species that is fundamentally broken."
She turned her head to look out the window, a contemplative expression on her face before turning back to look at Adam.
"You understand me, I think."
He nodded slowly.
"People need to be believed in. You tell someone for long enough that they are fundamentally bad at their core and they will begin to believe you. For thousands of years pessimists have gotten it into our heads that we are no better than animals, worse even since animals don't fight in wars. But I believe that is wrong, I have seen people, I have met people, and I have interacted with people who prove to me that humanity cannot just be fundamentally bad or else these people wouldn't exist."
She tapped her nails against the glass,
"I think it is easier to corrupt purity than wash away a stain."
He listened quietly as she continued.
"Humans are born good, Adam, and life stains us. We aren't born stained while some of us are wiped clean."
She shook her head,
"Doesn't make sense to me."
She caught him with a look, pinning him to the spot with her intense stare,
"People like you convince me of this every day."
"Me!?..."
She held up a hand.
"Adam Vir, I am convinced that the best outcome this universe ever had, was when a happy go lucky science fiction freak was lucky enough to be the first man to meet aliens. Any other way things would have gone horribly wrong."
She leaned across her desk,
"The universe needs men and women like you, and not only that but the universe needs people who are going to support men and women like you."
She sat back,
"Which is why I have made a decision…"
He raised an eyebrow in curiosity, not entirely sure where this could be going.
She smiled,
"I have decided to run for UN President."
He nearly spit his mouthful of expensive scotch onto the table, but managed to choke it mostly down.
Eyes wide he set his glass down,
"Are you serious?”
She smiled,
"Seriously serious."
"Well shit, you have my vote for sure."
He raised his glass to her,
"I couldn't think of a better outcome."

Obviously, I have Charlie’s permission to post this and for the people already knowing the stories, or starting to read them: If you follow the link and check out the story you will see some differences. I made some small (non-artistic) changes, mainly correcting writing mistakes, pronoun correction and some small additional info here and there of things which were not thought of/forgotten or even were added/changed in later stories (like the “USS->UNSC” prefix of Stabby, Chalar=/->Sunny etc). As well as some "biggemajor" changes in descriptions and info’s for the same stringency/continuity reason. That can be explained by the story collection being, well a story collection at the start with many standalone-stories just starring the same people, but later on it gets more to a stringent storyline with backstories and throwbacks. (For example Adam Vir has some HEAVY scars over his body, following his bones, which were not really talked about up till half the collection, where it says it covers his whole body and you find out via backflash that he had them the whole time and how he got them, they just weren't mentioned before. However, I would think a doctor would at least see these scars before that, especially since he gets analyzed, treated and goes shirtless/in T-shirts in some stories). So TLDR: Writing and some descriptions are slightly changed, with full OK from the author, since he himself did not bother to correct these things before.

Even the VP fell under suspicion and was watched closely for the rest of his term.
Admiral Massie and the UN President were placed under arrest and set up for court dates in the nearing future, though everyone saw a long and arduous litigation process ahead. Even Ramirez's family had filed for damages against the government after the news came to light, confirming that their son had been shot as collateral in one of the UN presidents plans to assassinate Admiral Vir. They settled out of court to the tune of an unknown, but impressive sum of money.
No one really knew how much, but a couple months later Ramirez's younger sister was seen training at one of the most prestigious Olympic academies on earth.
Ramirez himself was suddenly able to afford housing on the moon in a condo just next door to his best friend, though no one else inquired further.
The Rundi chairwoman came forward with her own investigation, admitting to being suspicious for a long time though she feared accusations without proper proof. Admiral Vir was seen having lunch with her not so many months after the events took place, suggesting that the trust between the two of them had not been completely dissolved. With much of the isolationist element gone from government, public policy began to lean heavily towards integration with the alliance. The occasional isolationist demonstration or protest was held, but none of them managed to gain traction.
Admiral Vir was finding himself more important than ever, though it was to his chagrin that his ship was grounded for the intervening months while the investigation continued.
No one was entirely sure what the future held.
Admiral Vir stepped into Admiral Kelly's office. The last time he had actually visited her here had been over a few years ago, before his promotion to captain of the Harbinger. It seemed so distant now, and he never expected to walk into her office with a star on his shoulder. She stood as he entered, and the two of them shook hands, ignoring all the stuffy formalities that usually come with the meeting of two military officers.
The wall behind her was decorated with a myriad of metals and awards she had received over her career, and he couldn't help but note the slight tinge of grey he could see forming in her hair. He knew that feeling, he was going prematurely white much to his chagrin. She stood and the two of them shook hands.
"Vir."
"Kelly."
She motioned him to sit, and he sat, sighing lightly as he had been on his feet all day consulting with political figures and other members of the UNSC.
"A strange couple months wouldn't you say?”
"Tell me about it."
Kelly reached under her desk and withdrew an amber bottle which she placed between them,
"I always forget; do you drink?"
"On occasion."
"Well consider this an occasion."
She said, popping off the top and pouring two glasses for them. She handed his across the desk and he leaned back in his seat cupping the cool glass in both hands.
She swirled the amber liquid around in her glass,
"So what are your plans after all this?”
He took a sip of water warmed by the burning liquid,
"Hoping things will go back to normal and I can go back to traveling the galaxy."
Kelly grunted,
"A simple man with simple motivations."
He laughed,
"Sometimes I think a stupid man with simple motivations."
She chuckled then grew serious,
"A lot of people make the mistake of assuming simple people don't have the intelligence to match. Some people assume that trusting means gullible means dumb. Just because we are trusting and expect others to do the right thing is not necessarily a fault. I believe there is a kind of beauty in assuming the fundamental goodness of humanity."
Admiral Vir shook his head,
"How can you after seeing what we have seen?”
"How can you not?"
She shrugged,
"We always knew that politicians were corrupt, but think about everything else we have seen."
Admiral Vir nodded slowly,
"The enthusiasm for the Apollo 11 recreation mission, the people who flew up to help us. All of those people who went digging through years of information just to uncover the truth."
She raised her glass,
"Precisely. Goodness in humanity is all around us, but we tend to overlook the good in favor of the bad."
She placed her hat on the desk and sighed,
"It is up to good people to keep their goodness going even when it might seem easier to give into the bad. I have and will always believe in the fundamental good of humanity. Some may call it naive, or even stupid. Others have said I have a romanticized view of a species that is fundamentally broken."
She turned her head to look out the window, a contemplative expression on her face before turning back to look at Adam.
"You understand me, I think."
He nodded slowly.
"People need to be believed in. You tell someone for long enough that they are fundamentally bad at their core and they will begin to believe you. For thousands of years pessimists have gotten it into our heads that we are no better than animals, worse even since animals don't fight in wars. But I believe that is wrong, I have seen people, I have met people, and I have interacted with people who prove to me that humanity cannot just be fundamentally bad or else these people wouldn't exist."
She tapped her nails against the glass,
"I think it is easier to corrupt purity than wash away a stain."
He listened quietly as she continued.
"Humans are born good, Adam, and life stains us. We aren't born stained while some of us are wiped clean."
She shook her head,
"Doesn't make sense to me."
She caught him with a look, pinning him to the spot with her intense stare,
"People like you convince me of this every day."
"Me!?..."
She held up a hand.
"Adam Vir, I am convinced that the best outcome this universe ever had, was when a happy go lucky science fiction freak was lucky enough to be the first man to meet aliens. Any other way things would have gone horribly wrong."
She leaned across her desk,
"The universe needs men and women like you, and not only that but the universe needs people who are going to support men and women like you."
She sat back,
"Which is why I have made a decision…"
He raised an eyebrow in curiosity, not entirely sure where this could be going.
She smiled,
"I have decided to run for UN President."
He nearly spit his mouthful of expensive scotch onto the table, but managed to choke it mostly down.
Eyes wide he set his glass down,
"Are you serious?”
She smiled,
"Seriously serious."
"Well shit, you have my vote for sure."
He raised his glass to her,
"I couldn't think of a better outcome."

Obviously, I have Charlie’s permission to post this and for the people already knowing the stories, or starting to read them: If you follow the link and check out the story you will see some differences. I made some small (non-artistic) changes, mainly correcting writing mistakes, pronoun correction and some small additional info here and there of things which were not thought of/forgotten or even were added/changed in later stories (like the “USS->UNSC” prefix of Stabby, Chalar=/->Sunny etc). As well as some "biggemajor" changes in descriptions and info’s for the same stringency/continuity reason. That can be explained by the story collection being, well a story collection at the start with many standalone-stories just starring the same people, but later on it gets more to a stringent storyline with backstories and throwbacks. (For example Adam Vir has some HEAVY scars over his body, following his bones, which were not really talked about up till half the collection, where it says it covers his whole body and you find out via backflash that he had them the whole time and how he got them, they just weren't mentioned before. However, I would think a doctor would at least see these scars before that, especially since he gets analyzed, treated and goes shirtless/in T-shirts in some stories). So TLDR: Writing and some descriptions are slightly changed, with full OK from the author, since he himself did not bother to correct these things before.

A question as old as a job market has existed. Long context warning, because it's all ... prudent to consider.
I am a registration clerk at a women's imaging clinic at a state university in NY (nowhere near NYC; middle-to-LCOL area). I'm civil service, and the institution I work for is solid, unionized, and an overall great employer. By the grace of God I'm presented with two opportunities that I'd never really thought I'd have, honestly.
I've been invited to work a role doing registration and insurance for an outpatient women's imaging clinic (same building as the main hospital, different "tower"). I can not reiterate enough that this is my dream job: extremely low stress/responsibilities, I don't even have a phone to answer (or make calls on). It's like the President's phone; it only goes straight to my boss when we need to reach other urgently. Notice how I said that?... I am the only registrar in this office, effectively making me autonomous. Only issue is it makes just enough to squeeze by. I occasionally run negative in my checking account (getting better though), but for the first time since the middle of COVID I have a stable life. I work the exact same hours as my boyfriend, and as we share a vehicle, it's been phenomenal mental-health and life-balance wise. I am M-F, no matter what, I am guaranteed to leave at 1530 everyday (no matter what), all NYS holidays off and paid (I think this aligns with federal holidays, fyi).
A position I'm on the cusp of being offered is a medical records assistant position. Health Info Mgmt. Same building, but other tower than I'm in now. It would entail processing Release of Info requests, answering the phones, scanning; it's not really a stinky job, but obviously it would be a lot more demanding than this. I've worked in medical records before and while it was no cake-walk, it wasn't by any means a tough job lol. More stressful than this but I think that was more about my boss and the unclear responsibilities I was assigned. Anyway, the hours of this new position would slightly un-align with my boyfriend, so that would be an inconvenience. I might be giving up my coveted, guaranteed weekends off; and the position was promised, originally, as hybrid-remote, but now that seems out of the question. I'd definitely have the crappy, reception side of the dept. However, it would be an 18% increase from where I am, and I wouldn't achieve that in my current position for several years. For reference, both positions are less than $50k, for now.
No brainer right? Take money! Well, consider the following: despite the allure of more money, the stability and support provided by my current state job, with its insurance, benefits, and low-stress environment, have been crucial in managing severe bipolar and a panic disorder. Previous experiences, including a severe manic episode during military training, personal tragedies, and unstable employment, led to significant mental health struggles until finding stability in their current job, where they now enjoy a content and stress-free life with a loving partner and pets. I understand I'm not supposed to address mental health here but it's necessary for context.
Of course I have sky-high goals. I don't want to be president one day, but long term, I want to eventually emigrate; see the world and have some benefit to society. I would live a meager (but very stable and happy) life in my current job. It's not the new responsibilities I'm worried about - it's gambling this ever-elusive fucking concept called stability. I don't want to dig my heels in the ground and live in a bubble, but I'd be foolish to give up this position.... right? The economy is what it is, and I'm extremely lucky to have a wonderful job and apartment at a cheap + sustainable cost. More money is UNEQUIVOCALLY important but it won't mean much if I lose my mental stability.
TL;Dr - Easiest civil service job in the world that pays little Or crappy civil service job (transfer) that pays better than I'd achieve otherwise at the moment?
This was long-winded but I'm genuinely at such a crossroads, I'd rather ask Reddit than flip a coin.

Recently I have been advised that I have to go on a mandatory external training course for my role, no issues with this as I have done these in the past and they have been beneficial.
The only difference this time is that they want me to sign a learning agreement to say that if I leave the business within x amount of time of completing the course, I will need to repay them for the the full cost of the course.
I have signed learning agreements in the past at jobs before but it’s all been for optional stuff that I chose to do so I was ok with doing that. But it doesn’t feel right that they can force me to do a course AND force me to pay for it if I decide to leave within a year.
Would I be in my legal right to refuse to sign the learning agreement?
Just for info, I work in Scotland and have been employed at this company for over 2 years.

JNMIL is sabotaging her weekend with our kids over her very old fashioned views on car seat safety, and of course blames me.
This ended up being much longer than I thought it would.
Background info: - we do not live in the US. Car seat standards are lax in this country compared to my home country (USA). - I’m an immigrant in the country I live in. I will apply for citizenship this fall. - my in laws don’t speak English. I can get by in their native language but am no where near fluent. My husband is fluent in both. - we do not own a car, we rent one when needed, and only have one car seat per kid.
We have a three day weekend coming up. My husband is neck deep in writing his PhD dissertation and had the idea of taking the kids (girls ages 5 & 2) to see his parents. He could write and work while they spend time with the kids. I would stay home and get some much needed deep cleaning done of the apartment and organizing, stuff I can’t do with kids around, and some alone time. I also don’t have a good relationship with my MIL and really limit my time with her.
My husband didn’t feel comfortable with driving three hours alone with the kids so he booked a train. He would not bring car seats as he would have the stroller, kids, a bag, etc. At first all was ok. Then this week five days before the long weekend, my MIL decided she didn’t want to take public transport with the kids and wanted them in her car. So unbeknownst to us, she set off on a quest to find car seats. She contacted a friend of ours who lives near her and has kids. They had two seats, one adequate for our 2 year old (I looked it up) and a dusty old booster that was over ten years old. I said, absolutely no way will my 5 year old be in that seat. I told my husband we need to just buy seats for his parents to keep on hand. He told his mother this. She exploded. She said she does not want us to buy car seats, she thinks we are over reacting and the seat is fine, that I (being foreign) am making a big deal of it. She said the culture here around car seats is different and that I’m being stupid. She said car seats are too expensive to waste money on. Now, husband and I live comfortably and can buy new seats without an issue financially. My in laws are much better off than we are, and have a lot a lot a lot of cash sitting in the bank. We never asked them to buy seats, nor did they ever offer, but the price of the car seats is a huge issue to my MIL. Where I believe the safety of my kids is way more important than money.
My husband is furious. He’s fed up with his mom and wants to cancel the entire weekend.
She’s now texting me, my husband, and the friend with the seats non stop to try to change our minds. (The friend is being very supportive and agrees with my views on the car seats).
She’s saying we can’t keep the kids from her over this issue. We said she’s welcome to come visit us. She refuses to do that as we can’t host them (very small apartment) and hotels are expensive. She blames me for my husband taking so long on his PhD and needing the weekends to write (we have two young kids and he works full time. He’s in year 6 of his PhD.)
I’m so annoyed. I was going to have a BREAK. 72 hours alone in my apartment. I had dinners with friends planned. My 5 year old was going to spend time with her favorite person, her Opa, my FIL. As usual, he’s been silent over this issue. My husband was going to have multiple blocks of uninterrupted time to work.
He will still get a full day in the library to work if we stay home. I won’t get my big cleaning projects done for a few more weeks. We will have family time and enjoy the nice weather.
And my JNMIL will fume while sitting in her ugly orange leather chair in her ugly orange and red decorated living room. And blame everyone but herself for ruining her weekend.

Hey guys, I bought this month's humble choice and when I went to redeem my Hi-Fi Rush steam code, I noticed a message under the redeem button that says "must be redeemed by June 3rd, 2025 10:00 AM Pacific Time." This is the first time I've seen a message like this, until now I was under impression that all humble choice games are redeemable for the rest of my life (or the rest of existence of Steam lmao), and I also noticed no other game this month has the same message. It is, of course, a non-issue since I already redeemed it, but it can pose a problem for the future if this repeats, because sometimes I redeem games months after I bought the choice (I periodically send my un-redeemed games that I have no interest in playing to all my friends and a few discords I'm in, and sometimes people want those game, which can take months).
Do you guys have any additional info about this? Is this something that was always happening and I just didn't see it? Is this a new thing and should I carefully check every game from now on if it has a redeem time limit? I would love to understand this more, last thing I want is to lose my access to a game because I wasn't informed enough.

Hey y’all. Im based in the US and have been tattooing for about 4 years. I just wanted to discuss since it seems the info I’ve gotten is all over the place.
I do not tattoo pregnant or breastfeeding people. Never have, and if they mark that they’re either or on the waiver, I always say no, not until after they’ve completely finished breast feeding at least. I lose money doing this so it’s obvi not something I do just because I feel like not tattooing someone.
I’ve gotten so many angry reactions when I decline people, and everyone who isn’t a tattooer questions me because they feel it’s perfectly fine. Is this a hill I’m on alone?
My understanding is that yes, while they technically SHOULD be fine, I’m not trying to risk my shop, my job, or their body or baby by tattooing them during such a delicate time. There’s infection risk of course, but getting tattooed always causes an immune response of some sort, and since to my knowledge that hasn’t been closely studied I’m not trying to fuck around and find out a breastfeeding person I tattooed had an allergic reaction and it spread to their baby or what not.
Even some other tattooers told me “it should be fine” but I’m still trying to stay on the safe side. Plus, these clients only have to wait some time until they’re able to get a tattoo again, I’m not telling them they can “never” get a tattoo.
But yeah. Am I gaslighting myself into thinking my practice is usesless, when it isn’t? Or is it really not legally or medically a problem to tattoo breastfeeding people?
TLDR: I’m a professional tattooer in the US who declines tattooing people who are currently breastfeeding, and have always upset them because of it. I err on the safe side, but I’m wondering if I’m wasting my energy or if what I’m doing is valid practice since I’ve gotten questioned so much.

I do not tattoo pregnant or breastfeeding people. Never have, and if they mark that they’re either or on the waiver, I always say no, not until after they’ve completely finished breast feeding at least. I lose money doing this so it’s obvi not something I do just because I feel like not tattooing someone.
I’ve gotten so many angry reactions when I decline people, and everyone who isn’t a tattooer questions me because they feel it’s perfectly fine. Is this a hill I’m on alone?
My understanding is that yes, while they technically SHOULD be fine, I’m not trying to risk my shop, my job, or their body or baby by tattooing them during such a delicate time. There’s infection risk of course, but getting tattooed always causes an immune response of some sort, and since to my knowledge that hasn’t been closely studied I’m not trying to fuck around and find out a breastfeeding person I tattooed had an allergic reaction and it spread to their baby or what not.
Even some other tattooers told me “it should be fine” but I’m still trying to stay on the safe side. Plus, these clients only have to wait some time until they’re able to get a tattoo again, I’m not telling them they can “never” get a tattoo.
But yeah. Am I gaslighting myself into thinking my practice is usesless, when it isn’t? Or is it really not legally or medically a problem to tattoo breastfeeding people?

After the briefing, I encountered her again, it was during an English test. Time's up, paper done, I packed my bag and started to leave but she surprisingly approached me again. She was just asking about the paper, like how is this done, this and that. On my way back, I started to see her differently. Last encounter, not physical, through chat, I was sicked and admitted to the hospital. She was the only person who I knew had the same classes for phys and eng, also I have her hp. So I texted her, saying what I miss, she was very kind about it to provide info. At the moment, I kinda show interest, well is not love at first sight bullshit but just interested, I wanted to know her better.
Present day, it's been few months since we chat, the thought of her kinda graze my mind every now and then. Biggest mistake I made was I should have initiated the conversation more like what do you plan on studying or where do you wanna settle after uni, I thought I could get her to talk to me but I was really shy to converse with her knowing how much I suck at talking to ppl. I only realised this mistake when the new sem started, I should have just ask her out actually, I think she also lived near me according to a conversation I hear with the lecturer and her. Basically, I fucked up. I'm in the same class with her in English only, which in itself is lucky considering there's 31 classes and I got to be in that one class with her. But she had a fair share of friends.

The reason I find her hard to approach is because she had a lot of friends, I don't assume I know, I've seen her alot with her friends and basically there was no room for me to interact. I feel like it be too creepy suddenly text her now, plus I always see with her best friend? So I feel like she's the type of person who doesn't wanna be in a relationship, I don't even know if she has bf or not. I know nothing about her, and trying to know her now would seem to odd. Idk about you guys but I feel like she would be creeped out, cuz I'm like a loner in class and also think is too late thus, impossible to text her. I won't be seeing her as the semester ends, but is finals so that's the time I see her but again won't talk to her cuz again she has a lot of friends so she probably entertain them instead of a loner like me, plus I don't wanna stand out in front multiple people. I was thinking of maybe ask to study together? But two of us is just really weird.. I find it weird too

I think is kinda pointless to ask since yk I had the chance I blew it, it took me months to realise I should have initiated the conversation, it doesn't matter if we're dating or not, I just wanna know her and be friends with her, I found myself in a serious of friendship 💀 compared to last year. - Im not sure about my feelings either The reason I show interest in this person is because of this person, how she treated me. At first I viewed her as in just like everybody normal, in my college then there's a lot of pretty girls here and there but I'd say she's cute. So my first interaction with her was because my friend wanted data for a physics experiment, I was in the same class with her and basically I was hesitant and I didn't wanna do it but due to the constant begging, I'm like ok it won't hurt I guess. I didn't wanna do it because I don't wanna talk to girls, last time I talk to one it didn't end well. I never dated, she was just an acquaintance I'd say, somehow I'd say something dumb and got pissed off, called me a piece of shit and blocked. This happened twice (this girl and another girl) but I won't go too much in details, in short I was young and basically the way I talk was not respectful, I talk to girls the same way I talk to guys so yea, now I'm more mature but I'm still careful with my words, this all happens in text btw. So yeah, pretty much intimidated by this girl, grew the guts, went up n talk to her. I asked her for the data and she said yes, kinda thought she was gonna be rude abt it but she was surprisingly really nice, she sent it via phone number n yea I to this day still have her phone number.

Greetings fellow Mistwalkers,
Last session the players dealt with most of the hags at the Old Bonegrinder, after which they decided to travel through the wilderness towards Argynvostholt. After arriving at the river they spotted a swampy area to the south, with Argynvostholt being towards the north(they visited Argynvostholt before but ran away after being very resource-depleted after triggering the magic-wall trap). They knew they had to venture to a ruined village in the swamp due to the card reading from madam Eva, and decided they should thus explore the swamp after which they would go back to Argynvostholt. They arrived at the ruins of Berez and quickly went to the hut where they failed to free the ravens from the cages. We ended the session when they entered the hut where they spotted the ''baby'' and Lysaga.
After they session I gave them a heads up that the next session might be their last, since they probably won't survive any combat encounter with their current level(4 lvl 5 PC's), and due to circumstances it might be best to end the campaign when they TPK.
So here I am sharing my story, and would be wondering what you think of it.
Summary of the group and how they played through Curse of Strahd. Currently we've played 25 online sessions(one of them in person for the dinner with Strahd), with the first five sessions having taken place on Stormwreck Isle. The group is fairly new to D&D, with some having some earlier experience. After finishing Stormwreck Isle I gave them several plot hooks which would lead to several campaigns, Together we decided to go to Barovia due to it's reputation, altough I warned them the campaign itself could be very deadly.
While preparing the Curse of Strahd(I've done two runs of the campaign as a player, our first party/group nearly dying at the Winery and afterwards disbanding because of problems between the Dm and another player) I took some notes from the incredible Mandymod for further additions for my campaign.
The group: -Hafling Drakewarden ranger, alongside his drake companion: Mír. This player previously played in my very first campaign of Rotfm, but the campaign fell apart after some drama between the two other players. -Owlin rogue, who multiclassed into warlock after deciding a swashbuckler rogue couldn't do enough things in combat an lacked in damage. -Eladrin bard -Tortle druid, the powergamer of the group.
Due to not really having any backstories related to curse of strahd, I made up some things for them in Barovia, and during the card reading gave them each an extra card with a suitable objective to their class/character personality.
The problems we faced on the way The group itself first faced some problems with roleplaying of course, but these quickly resolved itself. However the rogue and ranger portrayed themselves as criminals, and were always demanding something in return for helping people out in the valley. They took Ireena to Vallaki, encountering Vasili near Vallaki where he was ambushed by dire wolves. Vasili was quickly renamed to Gaston. The group spent a rather large amount of time in Vallaki, and refused to engage with several npc's, This caused them to miss out on several quests and information which led to other area's. This included engaging with the Martikov's, Rictavio and the Vistani. Due to this they only visited Argynvostholt(way to early) and the Vistani encampment near Vallaki. This forced me to give certain information via other npc's(like Jeny/Jenny? Greenteeth, but this still didn't cause the players to take ''proper'' action.
Forced endgame The players assassinated the burgomaster on behalf of Fiona Wachter, and afterwards dealt with some problems casued by her taking control of the city. Next they triggered the vampire event in the coffin maker shop, which resulted in most of the vampires running of to cause problems in the city and kidnap Ireena from the church(they dumped here there since they considered her a liability in combat and just wanted to get rid of her), and the party would have severe problems dealing with the vampire spawns(being lvl 4 at the time, having nearly no radiant damage potential). The kidnapping of Ireena gave me the opportunity for Strahd to invite the players for dinner, which I used as another info-dump moment and to raise the stakes. During the dinner he gave the players several offers to tempt them to do his bidding(like joining him or misleading them into ridding him of several npc's). I also announced that Strahd would enforce the wedding after 14 days, which I used as a way to urge the players to do more and start taking action.
What were we even doing? The session after the dinner took place, I had a conversation with the player to discuss what their characters would be doing. Only one player had solved her card reading(being Izek's lost sister, but due to rejecting him and later refusing to aid him in opposing Fiona, he died and was turned into a monstrosity), with the others either having no clue where to go or they hadn't solved their one yet. This resulted in the rogue proclaiming she had no purpose in Barovia, and claimed that she thought the party's actions had no proper effect/they gained no proper backlash. This in turn caused several other party members characters to doubt their purpose, with each member trying to make sure the party would do the specific quest/mission that that specific party member wanted/needed to do.
Post session chat I've discussed with 3 out of 4 players how we should proceed, and although some of them want to follow the story through, we thought it might be best to end the campaign(for now at least, I told them we could return to Barovia in a follow up campaign with new characters at a higher level, so they might partially pick up the pieces where they left off). Some players expressed that they weren't satisfied with their class, or reached the conclusion their character didn't fit the objectives the campaign presented. -Which was a bit tricky, since the player who suffered from this the most(the rogue) changed their character's goals and values multiple times during the campaign Another issue was that this was of course for most of them their first (longer) campaign instead of a oneshot, The last issue was their lack of engamement/drive to explore and visit certain sites. This caused them to miss out on several usefull items(the party hasn't aquired any fortune of ravenloft or found their fated ally).
Character deaths/Dark Powers Three of the players would have died once during the campaign, but were ''saved'' to continue the story and prevent the campaign from ending way to early. Two of them were in the first stage of dark power corruption, with the 3rd player being saved from death by Strahd himself, seeing him as a usefull pawn or eventual replacement.
So I will probably edit this post or upload a new post with tonights results. If you're interested or have any questions about certain events in the campaign, be free to ask :) Note; English isn't my primairy language and I suffer from dyslexia

Context: I've taken a Medical Leave of Absence in Fall 2021, Fall 2022, Spring 2023, Fall 2024, and Spring 2024. For all 5 semesters, I've received all Ws (Withdrawn) in the courses I signed up for. I've only completed one semester, Spring 2022, at the college I'm currently attending. So I don't plan on transferring any credits.
Rather than go on even more Medical Leave of Absences, and taking even more Ws. I’m leaning towards dropping out and applying to new colleges after my health stabilizes. But this transcript will kill my chances of getting into any college of similar quality. I’m overwhelmed and going through actual hell, any info/advice is highly appreciated.
(I have nobody that I can go to for advice on my situation besides Reddit, if there's any resources out there please let me know, it'd mean the actual world.)

My dad asked me in september to go to a family gathering for the weekend of the 18th of may. I said yes of course, it's a 3 day weekend so let's do it.
Except that until last week he would'nt talk to me or exchange infos about the wedding unless I asked. Last month I tried to bring it up and he just brushed off all of my concerns.
Once i asked him in the family group chat (mom, dad, sister (18yo), brother (16yo) and me) " hey do you have the invite for the wedding that takes place in your family ?". He then when on a rant about me saying "your family" and that it was a bad thing that I was not saying in "my family". But the reason I said so is because my mom was in the group. So it makes sense to specify which part of the family I'm talking about.
The wedding is this weekend. He hasn't given me any details about when we are leaving, what is the theme and what I should wear, who will be there (my sister is on holidays with friends and my brother told me he might come but dad is unsure ???), how long it will take to go there (we're driving but I don't know for how long). He just told me "I'm picking you on Saturday, be ready". I don't even know when he is picking me on Saturday.
Until last week, he still hadn' t decided for his accomodation and he didn't know where I'd be staying (with him or with family members). So I had to give him options.
The thing that pisses me off the most, is that he was given the invite in september. And my mom saw it on the table last week. Yet he refuses to give me any details when I ask about it.
I don't even know what I should bring or wear because he still hasn't given me the dress code. You might say nobody cares but it's a wedding. I'm not going to show up in my usual outfit (overalls + sneakers).
Last night, I told him that I'm not going because I'm tired because of the lack of organization on his part
(Context : I'm also the eldest daughter and my dad relies heavily on me everytime he needs to make an appointment or to manage an event. However, he told me that this time he could handle it. I was asking questions and he would not answer or say i'll talk about it later.
Also, I have a lot of tattoos and piercings + I'm very outspoken. My family is very conservative and if one of my aunts/uncles says something negative about me, my dad usually talks to me after the event and asks if I can tone down my style or talk less because he is a bit annoyed of the way I act.
I have two big tattoos that are very visible and I know that people will talk to my dad about)

Yo! So I've been playing TTRPG's for since I was a teen. I've been as a player in Dnd4, Lofp, PathFinder, Praedor and ANKH systems, so got a quite a bit of playing experience. Of course this doesn't necessarily translate to GM experience.
So I decided to run a one shot for few total TTRPG newbies, and decided to do few characters for the players to choose from.
I just want to see if anyone else can relate, but DnD5e players rule book is the worst when it comes to explaining rules of classes and basically everything. I feel like all the info that should be in an easy to read table is hidden in walls of text. Sure it gives plenty of flavor but creating a bunch of characters and trying to figure out how different classes use magic, weapons and armor is just insane. I had the digital version of the book and even "find" feature in a pdf reader sometimes could not help me find the info I was looking for.
Is this a common experience, or am I just a bit slow on the draw?

Quick Summary:
This post will contain spoilers for both Season 15, and Restoration.With the release of Restoration, Red vs Blue has finally come to an end, and it was a pretty solid ending for the most part amid a few flaws here and there, but most I think would agree it was a Satisfying ending. However as I said before it has a few problems. One being is that we don't know if Restoration actually happend, or if it's also a simulation much like The Shisno Trilogy, and Zero.
Secondly even though some people didn't like The Shisno Trilogy retconing it removes all of the major delevompment certain characters went through. Such as Grif, Donut, and Washington. I think The Shisno Trilogy defenitntly handled their characters better then Restoration did. So I'm going to give my version of what happend after the battle on The Staff of Charon, and see if we can fix some of the mistakes of both The Shisno Trilogy, and Restoration.
Season 15 Prelude:
So in my rewrite I'm going to have both Season 15, and Restoration happen, but there will be some tweeks, and changes added to them. One such change will be Tucker's descent into becoming The New Meta, rather then it just happening offscreen. We see this through Tucker behaving much more differently then he normally would. He often gets angry for unknown reasons, or behaves more violently then he normally would. All of this is a result of him being influinced by both Sigma, and Omega. Personally I think Omega would help Sigma with his goals as long as Sigma gave Omega something in return.Season 15:
Now let's get into the actual Season. So Season 15 Episode 1 Prolouge goes the same as it does in the original, with The Blues and Reds attacking a UNSC base, and killing everyone there. Dylan Andrews then does her report with Frank, she deciedes to track The Reds and Blues down, Frank is replace by Jax, and together they head to Blood Gulch, meet sister, and VIC, Dylan makes a deal with VIC that he will give her "Three wishes", and then she, and Jax go to Sidewinder, meet Specncer, and Encounter The Blues and Reds. So far Season 15 seems to be going exactaly the same as it did before right, well here's where the first difference comes. Dylan doesn't immendidlty put together put together that they aren't the real Reds, and Blues. This is because Surge actually has a shotgun, and they all have voice filters to sound like the Reds, and Blues.Anyways after all that instead of going to Chorus, Dylan and Jax decied to go to other places The Reds and Blues have been starting with Zanzibar. There they wouldn't find much, but I think Dylan would at least try to see if she could find any information on the computer Gamma hacked, but probably wouldn't find anything.
There next stop would be Valhalla. There they would first check out The Blue Base, find nothing, and then they would check out The Red Base, where they would find the holgraph training thing Sarge had Lopez built. Once again they wouldn't find anything they would help with their investagation.
Oh by the way the call between Dylan and James would still happen in Episode 4 at Zanziabar and it would go the same as in the original Season.
Anyways then then go to the sandy place with The Temple, then where the Reds and Tucker got destroyed by Tex, and even where they confronted The Director, but they find nothing, and Dylan is about to Give Up when Jax suggest that why not go to the place The Reds and Blues were last known to be, Chorus. Dylan calls Jax a genius, and they head of to Chours. Again this goes exactaly the same as it did in the original version, but with one major difference, Doc would be on Chours working at Donald Doyle General Hosptial as Doctor Grey's assisatant, but once he here's about The Reds and Blues he too like Sister, Grey, and Kimball believes that The Reds and Blues wouldn't go evil, despite all they've put him through. So after getting the info from Kimball, Dylan, Jax, and Doc would all go to The Reds and Blues are on. Doc apologizes to Grey for leaving, but she assures him it's okay, and that he wasn't really that good at opperating, no offense of course. Anyways they go to the planet, the same Star Wars Parody scene happens, and Dylan finally meets The Real Reds and Blues. Cabooose still falls of the cliff, The Reds and Blues kind of have a small reaction to Doc like "Oh Doc what are you doing here". Doc then tries to explain only for The Reds and Blues to say that "No one cares", then they tell their story. It's exactaly the same, but Carolina does point out Tucker's weird behavior from being influnced by Sigma, and Omgea, but they all just blow it off as a phase, and then they get the SOS from Church.
And that's where Season 15 would end. Now I'm sure some of you are going to question why I shorten Season 15 to only about 10 episodes instead of the Original 20, well that was because of Dylan and Jax. See one of my main issues with Season 15 was the lack of development the two new characters got. I mean what did we learn about either of them throughout the Season? Um Dylan was a reporter, Jax wants to make movies, Dylan has a husband she's distant from, and that's about it, and as soon as The Reds and Blues come back into the picture, both Dylan and Jax basically get sidelinded. For me that was my biggest disappointment from Season 15, and is the main reason why I added episodes of Dylan and Jax going to these other places The Reds and Blues have been was so we could learn more about Dylan and Jax.
One thing I think we could learn about is why Dylan is so distant from her husband, here's my take on the reason why. Dylan can't have kids. When Dylan gets the call from James, Jax could ask her why she's so distant from him, to which Dylan would say that it's none of his buisness, then Jax can drop it, and tell Dylan his life story, then in Chorus Lessons Dylan can tell Jax about her being unable to reproduce, she explains to him that other then being a reporter one of her biggest dreams was to be a mom, she and James tried so many times, but nothing worked, so they went to the doctors where they got the news that Dylan was infertal. This revlation devestated Dylan, and she started to distants herself from James, and burry herself in her work. James did suggest things like Adoption, or a Surragate Mom, but Dylan didn't want to do either of does. I know it's not the best story for Dylan, but I just wanted more from her and Jax, instead of them just being sidelinded after The Reds and Blues came back into the picture. Anyways onto the New Season 16.
Season 16:
So yeah Season 16 is just the rest of Season 15 honestly, and for the most part everything goes exactaly The Same. Grif quits still, Carolina and Washington go to search for their old Freelancer friends, and The rest of The Reds and Blues along with Dylan and Jax try to trace Church's message. Everything from their goes the same, including the meeting with Spencer. It's when they meet The Blues and Reds where it's different. When they first meet it goes basically the same where The Blues and Reds claim that they're the good guys, and its The UNSC who are the bad guys, but Tucker does not trust them one bit because they are still going around pretending to be The Reds and Blues, with Tucker even questioning how Dylan couldn't tell they were fakes. Anyways the go into the underwater base, and here's where we get some differences. First of all The Blues and Reds and not the originals, they are just copycats. Doc also never knew them, and there's a little moment of him asking if they have their own Doc, and getting kind of dissapointed that their isn't.Here's another major difference. It's Sigma who convinces Tucker to not trust Dylan, and to instead trust The Blues and Reds, and espesically Temple. After that everything from Wash and Carolina's relationship getting forming, to The Blues and Reds capturing them goes the same.
Now we get to The Blues and Reds story of why they are doing all of this. Now like I said before they are not the originals like in the canon version of Season 15, and honestly coming up with a different story for them was hard, and this was all I could think of. They were part of The UNSC Resistance, and took part in the battle of the Sargaughcas in Season 9. We still get that whole think of Biff and Temple being friends, and Biff wanting to go home to be with his wife, but this time instead of him asking Temple to shoot him, he was already given permission to leave, and this would have been his last mission. Unfourtnetly he is killed during the battle by Carolina and Tex. As for why The Blues and Reds are pretending to be The Reds and Blues? They saw the article Dylan wrote and that's what gave Temple the idea to pretend to be The Reds and Blues.
Anyways The Reds, and Blues discover The Blues and Reds are evil, Doc, and Sarge join The Blues, and Reds, The Reds, and Blues are captured, Lopez gets launched into Space, runs into Locus, and gets Grif. Grif, Lopez, and Felix go to save The Reds and Blues, free Wash and Carolina, with Wash all loopy, Sarge apologizes, and the fire fight happens. Here we would also see more of Sigma, and Omega influnicing Tucker, primarily Omega during this part since Tucker is angry, and of course Wash gets shot in the Neck.
So after that everything goes exactaly the same as it does in the original with The Reds and Blues, Dylan, and Jax all heading to Earth to stop The Blues and Reds.
Okay now for the Final Battle aganist The Blues and Reds, for the most part it's the same. Sarge and Surge's fight to Sarge accidendtly killing Surge, Grif, and Simmons figthing Gene and leaving him, and Loronzeo getting kicked into space, as well as Cronut blowing up in The Tank, but surving.
Now for the differnces. First off Loco's machine is not a time machine, but it will still causes mass destruction, and possibly destroy the planet so it needs to be stopped. Tucker beats Buckey even worse then he does in the original, breaking nearly all of his bones. This is again because of Omega. Anyways once we get to the final battle against Temple it all goes the same. Temple accidently kills Loco, VIC dies stopping the Machine, and Loco gives Caboose some batteires for Freckles. Now for the differnces. First there's no door that opens to Blood Gulch, and Alpha Church, The Machine just gets destroyed by VIC. Donut still gets shot by a bolt of electricty, but it does nothig except give him a little jolt. Oh and everything that happend with Doc went the same.
Now for Temple's fate. This time Tucker actually kills Temple, quite violently to, shocking everyone. Carolina then says "Tucker, what have you done"? to which Tucker, who's voice is mixed with Sigma's says. "Tucker is gone, I am The Meta"! Tucker now complety controlled by Sigma runs off, gets into Dylan's ship and flies off leaving everyone in shock. Then The Chours crew comes with Sister who reuintes with Grif, and the others are informed of Wash's recover, but then Caboose ask what they are going to do about Tucker, which Carolina says she doesn't know. Season 16 ends with Tucker returing to the base where The Reds and Blues were stationed after Chorus. He opens a door, to a room where The Meta's old armor was stored. Tucker then puts on the Armor and faces the screen in a scene similar to when Maine became The First Meta.
So yeah Season 16 aka The Rest of Season 15 didn't have a lot of changes other then changing the Origins of The Blues, and Reds, and showing more of Tucker's desent into becoming The New Meta. So let's move onto The Final Season.
Restoration:
So I think the best place to start The Final Season is to have The Reds and Blues first go to Chorus to check on Wash. As for Dylan and Jax, they stay behind since they can't fight The Meta. Anyways The Reds and Blues arrive on Chorus, and Carolina goes to see Wash in the Hospital, she wants to tell him about what happend to Tucker, but Wash doesn't let her at first, and instead tells the story about his cat. He tells the story about five times, so Carolina ask Doctor Grey about what's going on, and she tells Carolina about Wash's Cerebal Hypoxia. Now here's where we get our first difference. Carolina tells Wash about his condition, and does not hide it from him. Wash of course is devestated after learning this, but isn't as angry as he was in the original Season since Carolina was honest with him, but then she tells Wash about Tucker, and this causes an argument between the two of them, Carolina wants Wash to stay behind on Chorus while she and the others take care of Tucker, but Washington is insitant that he comes along saying how Tucker is his friend, and he's not going to sit back while Tucker suffers. Try as she might Carolina cannot convince Wash to stay behind.While that was going on The Reds and Blues come back with the Message from Church. Of coruse Carolina, is skeptical at first considering what happend with the last message from Church, but Epsilon, who somehow new about all of this is able to prove he is real.
Okay so that's basically it for differnces, as everything else goes the same as it does in the original film with the acception that Sister, Wash, Carolina, Donut, Lopez, and Doc are all there the whole time. There would also be more scences of Tucker trying to fight off Sigma's influnce
Now for The Battle on The Staff of Charon with The Meta, here is where we would see Wash's injury effecting him, and it gets to a point where The Meta is about to kill him, only for Doc to sacrfice himself to save him. So yeah Doc still dies, but this time it's onscreen. As for Sarge, he dies too, same way he does in the original film, but the difference is that Sarge doesn't choose to abandon Caboose at first, he dies saving Caboose.
Final battle in Blood Gulch is The Same, with Tex coming back, but also Junior too. They fight and defeat Sigma, and Free Tucker. Caboose then destroys the Memory Unit.
Now for the ending. Grif doesn't leave like he does in the original film, Simmons does still offer it to him, but Grif chooses to stay. One thing The Shisno Trilogy did good was Grif's character arc. He realized that he needs the others in his life, no matter how much he doesn't want to admit it, he went crazy when he was all alone. Washington's character was something else done well in The Shisno Trilogy, his struggle with Brain Damage, and having to come over it, which is one of the biggest reasons why I hate Zero when they just said that he somehow got cured from that offscreen.
Finally with everything fixed, The Reds and Blues all decied to remain on Blood Gulch. Red Base has Simmons, Grif, Donut, and Lopez, while Blue Base has Caboose, Tucker, Washington, Carolina, Sister, and Junior.
Oh one more thing, they also had a memorial for Doc too. Donut is the first one mouring Doc, with Simmons, and the others eventually joining as well, and it's here where they finally acknowledge all the terrible things they did to Doc over the years, and genuinally apologize to him, even if Doc can't here them
Conclusion:
And there we go, my rewrite of Season 15, and Restoration. I know it's not perfect, and believe me a billon other people could do a trillon times better then I ever could, but I just wanted to talk about my take on how I would try to handle The End of Red vs Blue.2024.05.16 10:27 TeeHCAy 49m Chronic Illnesses keep being told what was previously done was wrong, or made things worse and now need to do this. Quit drinking almost 10 years ago. Approx 8 months after became fairly ill at home. I could not keep anything down and was sleeping over 20 hours a day and exhausted. Went through several tests with my GP with nothing found. Last test was Western Blot, + for Lyme. Put on Doxy for 60 days sent on my way and told no reason to retest. Felt better and went on with life.
A few months passed and I was run down all the time, wasn’t eating, nauseous, achy and went to an LLMD who ran bloodwork, told me the Lyme had advanced and treated me with supplements and oral antibiotics (heavy duty) I lost approx 60lbs over the next 5 months and not improving so switched to IV antibiotics. I lost another 20lbs in 6 weeks and decided to see another Dr in the area who had experience with Lyme.
This Dr used both traditional medicine and a Naturopathic approach and explained how bad all the antibiotics were and what they had done to my system. Her approach was to boost my immune system and during testing determined I had high levels of 7 heavy metals with Lead, Mercury and Cadmium being the worst. These were treated with Chelation IVs while the Lyme was treated with Vit C and Peroxide IVs, vitamins, and supplements. It was also determined I had the MHFTR gene,hypothyroidism and low T. Put on Methyfolate, Test and prescription thyroid. I completely removed dairy and gluten from my diet. I began working out and gained 50lbs back with much of it being muscle and was feeling great.
I was previously diagnosed with PTSD, Dep, Anx but was managing well and then things went south all of a sudden after almost two years of doing pretty well. I went to a treatment facility and was supposed to enter a first responder program but they determined I was too much of a danger to myself and kept me in a lockdown unit. My Dr convinced me that ECT was the next best step so I endured 18 treatments. I was a zombie for approx 24 hours after each treatment but was doing multiple sessions a week. After drooling on myself for a few weeks I decided this was not the best course of treatment and went to another facility with a Vet/First Resp program and very high end. They treated me medically and for mental health ensuring both were as good as they could be. Adjusted pharma some more and explained how the ECT was not the right treatment and had me do eMDR.
I left the facility and returned home only to have my Lyme symptoms flair again. After several months of treating my immune system again, I was back to work. After 6 weeks I had a mental breakdown, later determined to be from a miscalculated dose from a recall of the Armour Thyroid I was on. It was also determined that my Cortisol levels were high through saliva testing and I was placed on Cortisol Manager 2x dose to lower my Cortisol.
I again returned to work but things were still not right. After a while of this we tested my blood level for Cortisol and I was told I had none. They then tested for Aldosterone and that was very low. I was told I had Addison’s Disease and put on Hydrocortisone and Fludrocortisone. Sent to an Endo, wait 9 months for appt, told there is nothing else they could do and to continue steroids. After another year of telling everyone something was not right I had a cardiac episode with a BP is 192/102 (typically 110/60 and 40-50HR) Saw a cardiologist and out on Olmesartan max dose and Amolodipine(sp?) BP still regularly 160/90. Cardiologist sees Thyroid and Addison testing. Sends me to another Endo. This Drs tests show no issues with Cortisol or Aldosterone and tells me to stop them.
Last week has been miserable. Achy, sore joints and muscles, muscle tension has reduced but posture has changed. Nauseous, no appetite and having a lot of trouble sleeping. My mental health initially improved but has now gone down hill pretty quickly.

They then tested for Aldosterone and that was very low. I was told I had Addison’s Disease and put on Hydrocortisone and Fludrocortisone. Sent to an Endo, wait 9 months for appt, told there is nothing else they could do and to continue steroids. After another year of telling everyone something was not right I had a cardiac episode with a BP is 192/102 (typically 110/60 and 40-50HR) Saw a cardiologist and out on Olmesartan max dose and Amolodipine(sp?) BP still regularly 160/90. Cardiologist sees Thyroid and Addison testing. Sends me to another Endo. This Drs tests show no issues with Cortisol or Aldosterone and tells me to stop them.
Last week has been miserable. Achy, sore joints and muscles, muscle tension has reduced but posture has changed. Nauseous, no appetite and having a lot of trouble sleeping. My mental health initially improved but has now gone down hill pretty quickly.
