2024.05.16 20:23 SnooPaintings1509 SFF job pairing recap

This is recap of a previous post where SFF rebalanced job pairings are discussed. In this way the information is more or less arranged. I did not play the mod yet so everything explained here is theorycrafting. Also as all the info is related to documentation I may have listed some inaccuracies, feel free to spot them if anyone finds some. The same if I have forgot any valuable option that an esper offers.
Thanks to u/big4lil and u/SpawnSC2 for their valuable comments.
Considering that these three pairs are somehow fixed (I am not sold out but they seem quite solid)
Knight/Shikari -> No espers needed
It seems the ultimate tank. All best shields, auto-decoy auto-proctect/shell. Lots of boosted weapons combinations including dark ( Bone Mail with Yagyu Darkblade), water (pirate hat + simha) , thunder (viking coat + coral sword)
Red/Archer -> Exodus (Quakega/Hastega & Heavy Armor 10)
It seems stronger than the unmoded version with the option of boosted lots of spells.
Uhlan/White ->Adrammelech (Drain/Drainga & First Aid); Farmfrit for Syphon/Bubble. Zodiark for scathe?
It is not only a defensive caster but also an offensive caster with advanced black and arcane spells plus drainga.
The toughest here call is to who assign Chaos
o Uhlan/White for Darkga&Death and Aeroga&Silencega
o Red/Archer for Firaga&Thundaga and focus
Perhaps it seems that Uhlan/White benefits a little bit more. Thundaga instant cast will be nice for finishing marks and I don’t know not if having only the Black Mage casting a boosted version it will be enough or I will need also Red (boosting it with Zeus maze) as well and in the other hand uhlan/white can If anyone with experience can shed a light into this dilemma will be much appreciate it.
Other espers that are contested, but depends on the rest of the pairings are:
- Cuchulainn
o Red for Esuna&Cleanse
o Time Battlemage for Warmage.
o White for Bio/Blindaga
In this case as Red is paired with archer and it will have the remedies so esuna and cleanse seems redundant, Time perhaps is the best option.
- Zalera
o Time for Curaga&Regen
o Monk for Cura&Raise
o Machinist Bubble&Syphon
- Hashmal
o Black for Darkga&Death
o Monk for Bravery&Curaja
o Machinist for Quakega/Hastega
- Zeromous
o Time for Waterga&Toxify
o Monk for Dispelga&Arise
- Ultima
o Black for Warmage
o Monk for Holy/Esunaga´
o Uhlan for Scourge/Flare
These are the options for the rest of the pairings
Option A
- Black/Machinist ->Hashmal for Darkga&Death and Quakega/Hastega ; Belias
- Monk/Foebraker -> Zeromous for Dispelga/arise
- Time/Bushi -> Zalera for Curaga/Regen?
It has already proved to be functional.
Black/Machinist, I am bit reluctant because it has no swiftness. Machinist offers rood inverse for triggering the Spellbraker augment late game doubling the damage, also offers the chance to boost elements at the same time than the staff of the magi.
Monk/Foebraker can also wear the rood inverse triggering adrenaline. Blitz on monk with boosted poles seems a good source of AoE physical damage
Time/Bushi can boost quakega and also a dark boosted katana
Mateus can add a swiftness lore and an additional magic lore to the Black/Mach or either the shell shield and dark spells to uhlan/white. As rods are one handed perhaps the later option is better.
Variation Option A prima:
- Black/Machinist ->; Belias
- Monk/Bushi -> Zeromous for Dispelga/arise; Hashmal for Bravery&Curaja; Ultima for Holy/Esunaga?
- Time/Foebraker ->
Zalera will be contested here between all three characters
The idea here is having a Monk/Bushi like a well rounded character can be a tank with ivory pole + gengi shield. A healer with curaja and even can cast holy but not enhancing it.
Time/Foebraker seems odd but the heavy armour is not overlapped and it can do weird things like being ranged DPS and perhaps a decent tank. Quakega will not be enchanded
Option B:
- Black/Time ->; Belias; Cuchulain for Warmage
- Monk/Bushi -> Zeromous for Dispelga/arise; Hashmal for Bravery&Curaja;
- Machinist/Foebraker -> Mateus for swiftness lores and haste?
The idea here is keep the monk/bushi as explained in option A prima. Pairing Time with Black saves espers keeping Quakega/Hastega and Syphon/Bubble. It loses the option of having the rood inverse on a magic damage dealer. Also three swiftness + haste+ boosted thundaga seems really great.
Monk/Bushi keeps being versatile but I still have some doubts if blitz is better option here than syphon/bubble on white mage specially because white/uhlan will have only 1 channeling
Machinist/Foebraker seems to opposite curves, machinist strong at the beginning and Foebraker catching it up later but it is going to be by far the slowest character. Adrenaline/Focus on the machinist with berserk and haste it seems quite valuable early/mid game. The downside is that is going to be a slow character.
Mateus can give it one swiftness and the ability to auto haste (quake will be wasted here as it has no magic lores). Perhaps it is the place to use it but it can be also useful on the monk/bushi for the armor or the red for slow/immobilize
Option C:
- Black/Monk ->;
- FoebrakeBushi ->
- Machinist/Time ->
The idea here is that black/monk has some good synergy on espers Hashmal gives her Darkga/Death & Bravery/Curaja Ultima warmage & Holy/esunaga and also some knuckles work with magic. It seems a valuable character but again no swiftness unless shemhazai is attached to it (that probably is the way to go) it will capitalize almost all espers but it can be used as a caster and as healer.
FoebrakeBushi will be a damage dealer with almost no tricks and probably permanently berserked
Machinist/Time ranged DPS and buffs but not boosted quakega seems not optimum.
Option C prima:
Foebrakebushi and Machinist Time can be swapped into Bushi/Time and FoebrakeMachinist as well which has been also explained earlier.
After this recap perhaps I option B seems to be my preference but by slight margin over A. Depends of the feedback about the FoebrakeMachinist.

2024.05.16 20:16 DontFireMeImPoor New/Returning Player Leveling Help Guide

Welcome (Back?) to Fallout 76

I have seen tons of new players coming in to the game lately, and even more returning to the game much like myself. I won't say I'm the smartest and best informed Fallout 76 player, but I have had tons of help from some people I can say probably are some of the smartest and best informed in the game. So I've decided to compile this handy yet vauge-ish leveling guide to some things you might be curious about, or might find helpful, or whatever! First off, however, let's go over some things the new players might not know: Etiquette in Fallout 76!
Etiquette of Appalachia
While this is a game about lawless chaos in a hell-like wasteland, there are some rules you really should follow!
  1. If you don't want to engage in PVP, turn on pacifist mode in the settings and read the popups on your screen about contesting workshops!
  2. Don't start events until the very last ~30 seconds! Give other players a chance to make it to the event so it's easier to complete and everyone gets loot/xp from enemies!
  3. Don't go overkill and destroy everything in public events! Killing everything before anyone gets a chance to do any damage to the enemies makes it so nobody else gets any XP or loot.
AFAIK those are the big three rules of this game, some people have their preferences and morals and such but IMO, to each their own beyond these big three.
Leveling Up
This is probably your main way of getting poweutility; through leveling up and collecting those sweet, sweet perk cards. I'm just gonna tell you how it is and say hey, don't shoot the messenger. Unless I told ya wrong, then shoot me a message so I can correct it.

How to Increase Your XP Gain

First off, lets go over how XP Bonuses are calculated. First, there is the base XP of an enemy. Then your INT stat will add to that base at 2.072% per point of INT you have. Then the resulting number is multiplied by the percentage base XP buffs you might have active such as the Leadership Bobblehead, Lunchboxes, or Well Rested. Here's the formula:
(Base XP + (Base XP * (INT * 2.072))) + ((Base XP + (Base XP * (INT * 2.072))) * %Buffs)
CALM DOWN!!! To make it easier on you folk out there who aren't running Egghead IRL, your INT stat essentially makes your base XP reward higher so your lunchboxes can give you way more XP.
So how does a fella max their INT? Well I'll tell ya! Other than the obvious idea of maxing it out by respeccing your S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stat allocation, you have armor slots that can all roll legendary star stats such as boosting your INT by +1 per piece, and if you don't mind running a low health build while power leveling, the Unyielding affix that can roll on any non-power armor can give players a whopping +15 INT at +3 INT per piece equipped (body, arms, legs.) Also, you can wear the Casual Shielded Underarmor OR the Flannel Shirt for another +3 INT. Also, there's chems and foods that can temporarily boost your INT, though you can have only one of each type active at the same time. Some of the best ones to run for boosting INT are Brain Bombs for food and Berry Mentats for chems. All of these things can be purchased from other players too! Also, if you run mutations like Egghead and Herd Mentality, the Charisma Perk Card Strange In Numbers can boost your INT by another +4 so long as you're in a party. Which you should be, because forming a bond with 3 players in a Casual team will net +4 INT as well! And last but not least is the Mechanical Derby Game some players have in their C.A.M.P. which boosts your INT by +2 for 30 minutes!
Now how about boosting XP via percentages to multiply that huge INT boosted base XP you worked so hard for? I've got you covered! Same as before, some things stack but some don't. In this usage case, the Live & Love 8 (+5% XP) magazine doesn't stack with Live & Love 3 (Boost Effects of Food), for example. Same with the Intelligence Bobblehead (+2 INT) and the Leadership Bobblehead (+5% XP). Lunchboxes can stack only up to 4 times and if you pop a lunchbox around other players, the other players all get a boost too! Same if someone pops one near you, free XP boost! Lunchboxes grant +25% XP per box popped, so with four popped, that's double XP! You can also get a whopping +15% XP boost from the Charisma Perk Card Inspirational, and the event going on now, the Mothman Equinox, gives you another +15% XP for an hour if you interact with the purple eyed moth at the end. Also, the easiest bonus to get is your Well Rested/Kindred Spirit/Lover's Embrace buff that gives you +5% XP and is obtained by simply resting in a bed for a bit.
In conclusion and to wrap up this part I want to clarify that you will typically get MUCH more XP in a Casual Team over an Events Team because for a majority of the events, you will be killing tons of enemies and missing out on a +8% boost to the BASE XP of all enemies, ya know, before the multiplier boosts which adds up to be much more XP than you get from the completion reward, even when its doubled. Daily Ops is a different case because you are typically trying to run it fast and skip over fights if possible, but otherwise don't sleep on Casual Teams.

How to Farm XP

So now that we've written a small book on how to boost our XP, how are we going to actually GET the XP? Well the best ways is to kill enemies with a high base XP reward, and lots of them. For example, the super mutants at the famous WesTek Research Center provide a high base xp reward and so do glowing enemies, like ghouls, which can be more or less "made" by dropping a nuke on Whitesprings. Events are great for this as well, especially Radiation Rumble and Eviction Notice, but typically all of the events have a good amount of enemies to kill and reward you with exclusive rewards, so its typically savvy to hit the events as they come up unless you know what it has to offer and just don't need it.
Now hold on there, pardner! You don't actually have to do all the work when it comes to killing the enemies to get their XP. And to squash any rumors going around, doing more damage does not, in any way, net you a higher amount of XP!!! You simply have to do 1% of the damage to an enemy to get its FULL XP reward, and yes this applies to every single enemy, even bosses. Really all you have to do is shoot each enemy maybe once or twice and you'll be drowning in XP during those big events. A great weapon for this is the Tesla Rifle because it chains to nearby enemies when you hit something, allowing you to tag multiple enemies while only having to aim at one! Also, Nuka-grenades have a massive AOE, just make sure you aren't boosting explosive damage or anything so you aren't one shotting everything (and yourself.) And try to make sure your party is there doing the event with you because if they happen to get a kill you missed, you still get a little bit of XP which is better than nothing.
That's all for now though, and do let me know if I missed anything or messed up any info!

Enhancement in The Final Shape

During the Lightfall year, players have gotten a taste of weapon enhancement with the raid Adept weapons from Root of Nightmares and Crota's End. In The Final Shape, you'll see that this system has undergone some upgrades, making enhancing your weapons easier and allowing us to comfortably expand this system to include more weapons. Here’s a quick recap on how weapon enhancement will work alongside some of the changes:
  • Weapon enhancement allows the weapon to be upgraded to receive enhanced traits, a weapon level, and a memento socket. To upgrade your weapon, players can navigate to the inspection screen and insert the enhancement tier mod for standard currencies (raid Adept weapons will continue to use Spoils of Conquest).
Image Linkimgur
  • Enhancement Tier 1:
    • Replaces your Masterwork and provides the weapon with an enhanced intrinsic that matches the stat of your old Masterwork.
    • Provides a weapon level, a date when you first enhanced the weapon, and a memento socket.
    • Raid Adepts only: Since these weapons have a base-crafted version, we want the Adept versions to feel like a meaningful upgrade. Therefore, these weapons can visit the Relic on Mars to adjust their first two columns (typically barrels/magazines) in a similar fashion to how crafted weapons can augment these perk columns.
  • Enhancement Tier 2 (weapon level 11 requirement):
    • Once the player inserts this mod, the left column trait(s) will automatically be upgraded to their enhanced perks. If you have multiple perks, this will update all traits in the column. Players will not need to visit the Relic on Mars to update these traits anymore.
  • Enhancement Tier 3 (weapon level 17 requirement):
    • Once the player applies this mod, the right column weapon trait perks will automatically be updated to be enhanced. Like the left column, this will upgrade all of the traits present and does not require visiting the Relic.
Image Linkimgur
We've heard the feedback that weapons should have more avenues to acquire enhanced traits. In The Final Shape, all new weapons will either be craftable or have access to weapon enhancement. In addition, weapons that remain active drops in the following activities will be eligible for enhancement:
  • Vow of the Disciple raid Adepts
  • Guardian Games
  • King's Fall raid Adepts
  • Gambit
  • Competitive Crucible (all of them)
  • Trials of Osiris
  • Crucible
  • Iron Banner
  • Vanguard Ops
  • Nightfalls
  • Prophecy Dungeon
This will include older instances of these weapons, as long as they have an origin trait. Unfortunately, due to some technical constraints, there are a handful of weapons instances from before Season 17 that have origin traits and are active drops, but they will not be eligible for weapon enhancement. If a weapon is not actively dropping in these activities and playlists or it’s under the legacy focusing options, it will not be enhance-able when The Final Shape releases. If weapons are reissued and become a part of a playlist's active drops once again, we'll update older versions that have origin traits to enter weapon enhancement.

Mementos in The Final Shape

We've received a lot of feedback on weapon mementos, especially as new mementos have released in our seasonal events. In The Final Shape, we have a few changes coming that impact how you store mementos and apply them to your weapons.
  • Crafted and enhanced weapons will no longer need to visit the Relic on Mars to apply mementos. Players can apply the memento of their choosing directly in the weapon inspection screen.
  • Memento stack cap limits will be raised from 1 to 3.
  • Mementos will no longer be stored alongside the player's consumables. When The Final Shape launches, your mementos under consumables will show as faded. Then, once the faded memento is dismantled, you'll see +1 memento added in the weapon inspection screen as a virtual currency. For players who figured out how to get around the original memento stack size limits, this will allow you to dismantle all those mementos safely, even if you temporarily go over the intended stack limit of three. If you are holding three (or more) of a particular memento, it will not drop again until you spend your mementos to be under the stack size limit of three.

Reduced Fragment Costs at Ikora In The Final Shape

Subclass Fragments purchasable from Ikora are expensive, particularly considering how many there are, especially for New Lights. In The Final Shape, we have reduced the cost of Fragments from 25000 Glimmer to 10000 Glimmer. Our goal here is to make these vital build-crafting elements more accessible for new and returning players.

The Pantheon Grows Stronger

Another week, and your task has become more difficult, Guardians. Rhulk, Disciple of the Witness, has joined The Pantheon, and we’ve gathered intel for your mission.
VANGUARD – GUARDIAN DISPATCH – ALL POINTS BULLETIN
DEFENDERS OF THE CITY,
You are tasked with the elimination of the following target:

-RHULK, DISCIPLE OF THE WITNESS-
Image Linkimgur
CLASSIFICATION
  • The last-known Lubraean
  • First Disciple of the Witness
  • Other names: The Upender, Worm Father
  • Dread
  • Resonant
HAZARDS
  • Darkness mastery
  • Immeasurable strength and durability
  • Powerful Lubrae’s Ruin Glaive
  • Suns of Lubrae attack and debuff
  • Savage Strike kick
  • Umbral Suffocation attack
  • Teleportation
  • Resonant Spikes area effect
  • Guardians rated Sigma-3 or lower are advised not to engage
INTEL
  • Rhulk was born on the planet Lubrae, a world originally blessed by the Traveler that spiraled into an authoritarian regime when the Traveler left. Fueled by rage, Rhulk sought to destroy the regime, but his bloodlust led to being ostracized from his clan. Eventually, afraid of what he’d become, his clan attempted to kill him.
  • Decrypted records from the Pyramid indicate that the Witness made contact with Rhulk during this time, restored him, and empowered him as the first Disciple. Rhulk took his vengeance on Lubrae, annihilating its parent star and destroying the planet.
  • Vanguard power assessments place Rhulk far above any previous enemy faced by any Guardian. Battle scholars theorize the bold fireteam that stormed the sunken Pyramid only prevailed due to Rhulk’s humoring a fight to begin with. But prevail they did.
OF NOTE
  • Hidden cipher-sequences buried in the symbols throughout have been decrypted by a pioneering Cryptarch, thanks to countless fireteams keeping the way clear. The solved sequence is believed to be astronomical coordinates to Lubrae. (Probe dispatched… awaiting arrival.)
  • The creation of the Hive was majorly influenced by Rhulk. The first Disciple of the Witness subjugated the Worm mother, Xita, and forced her spawn into union with the Krill, which led to the Hive species and the Hive Gods themselves.
  • Cryptarchs have uncovered communications between Rhulk and Savathûn in which Savathûn derides Rhulk’s simplicity as a tactician. According to the Witch Queen, the first Disciple only values strength, and his downfall will be his brute force approach to every situation.

Zero Hour Exotic Mission Is Live

Image Linkimgur
The Zero Hour Exotic mission is now live. If you haven’t jumped in yet, you can find it in the Into the Light node in the Director. Completing the mission in the required timeframe will earn you the Outbreak Perfected Exotic Pulse Rifle.
As we mentioned last week, we’re celebrating the release by asking you to share your favorite moments with TR3-VR. Post your favorite art, screenshots, videos, or memes — anything that shows your love for our favorite overly attached robot. Just use the hashtag #MyFriendTR3VR. We’ll be giving our favorites an Art or Movie of the Week emblem and sharing your creations in a future TWID.

DESTINY CONTENT VAULT UPDATES

With the start of Year 7 of Destiny 2, on June 4 certain items will be deprecated from player inventories that correspond with vaulted activities and seasonal campaigns. They will then be moved into the Destiny Content Vault.
We have updated the Destiny Content Vault article to reflect these changes and created a new article fully outlining Items Being Deprecated at the Start of Year 7 for players to reference.

PARENTAL CONTROLS

Parents, guardians, and other responsible adults are now able to adjust their child’s Destiny 2 settings.
To set up parental controls, both the child and their adult need a Bungie.net account, and we will need to verify that the person providing consent and setting controls is an adult. We have created a Parental Controls Help article with details explaining how to create an account and instructions on linking it to your child's.
We have also updated our privacy policy. Please visit Bungie.net to create or manage your account and set your preferences today.

KNOWN ISSUES

While we continue investigating various known issues, here is a list of the latest issues that were reported to us in our #Help Forum:
  • Capturing a zone in the Collision PvP game mode while having full super energy will slightly reduce Super energy.
  • Tormentors can push turrets away in Onslaught with their slam or grab attacks.
  • The Zero Deaths Triumph only unlocks when completing Zero Hour on the Legend difficulty, which should unlock on both Normal and Legend difficulties.
For a full list of emergent issues in Destiny 2, players can review our Known Issues article.
If you observe other issues, please report them to our #Help forum.

Procrastination no more; I have created this guy
Ahah I love procrastination
Want to ride a bike, watch a short ad for some gas, get 2x rewards on weekends, wear a cool hat, or watch a short ad for a reward?
It’s a new faction now (I wish)
  • (2/2) enemies that deal melee damage to allies units have their attacks slowed by 35% (non melee such as demons ability or bullets does not count. Doesn’t apply to bosses.)
  • (3/3) the third unit and every unit after that comes out of the bus adds 3% damage to their attack damage. This stacks up to 33%.
-(5/5) All units in the faction become fearless, and courage generates 1.5x faster OR ignores heatwave effect if applicable.
-top hat guy is like cap but better (faster fire rate, 13 round magazine, more damage, longer range, more hp but no bullet resist)
-Fuel guy lays down fire mines that explode similar to Molotovs damage at lvl 10. Attacks with… the barrel.
-Radio guy / van driver / supply run guy has 300 range, does 10% more damage than polina, and can perform melee attacks (hitting them with the barrel). Buffs all other firearm units range by 25%, and shotgunners by 15%. Buffs melee units swing speed by 10% and buffs valor by 150 (doesn’t stack).
- cinema guy slows enemy attacks (excluding firearms) by 15%, as well as lowering their move length (how far they move until they pause). Each kill has a 20% chance to drop 1-3 blue tokens. Has a unique weapon, where rather than firing full, it fires in hyperburst, firing two rounds extremely fast, with little to no pause. 30rd magazine. Tied damage with Sonya.
TL;DR -radio guy is polina but better, top hat guy is a different back line unit, gas man is miller but way better, and cinema guy is Austin but lowers enemy speed and attack. Gunslinger is just gunslinger

2024.05.16 20:01 CamaroKidBB M903 SLAP rebalance for PF

The recent balance changes have done M903 SLAP dirty af… I’m here to fix it based on more realistic stats, and also to make it a little more different from both default ammo and .416 Barrett.
For those unaware of the real deal, M903 SLAP is a sub-caliber sabot round designed for the .50 BMG cartridge to penetrate even deeper than what the original and past AP variants could do. This includes going about 3/2x the velocity (with a claim of up to 4,000 feet per second), being constructed of tungsten carbide, and being 3/5ths the diameter of the original round, meaning less aerodynamic drag as well as less surface area needed to be dove through. In fact, these traits would have made the SLAP rounds almost infallible for sniping… if they were match grade (they weren’t), and if the rifles proper had different twist rates (they had the same as is ideal for a regular .50 BMG, which M903 SLAP isn’t).
Believe it or not, the Mk211 Raufoss round (yes, that Mk211 Raufoss round) works on a very similar principle, only instead of a sub-caliber penetrator being seated in a sabot being launched directly from the rifle, the penetrator is launched directly from the bullet, which is why the Mk211 is an explosive round. Contains the penetrative power of the SLAP rounds before it, minus the quirks of being a sub-caliber round, both positive and negative.
The range bonus from the rebalance is kept, but if members of the community object or otherwise find the range increase unbalanced, I’ll remove it.
1.2x velocity (OG: 1.05x (OG OG: 1.25x))
(This would buff the BFG and Hecate’s velocities to 3,600 stud/s (4,320 stud/s w/ Heavy Barrel), and the M107’s to 3,360 stud/s. This isn’t as strong a muzzle velocity as before, nor will the penetration be, but this is to balance around the torso kill potential this’ll still have. Not only this, but for once, M903 SLAP will actually have a superior muzzle velocity to .416 Barrett, which is actually realistic.)
Forced 1.1x torso multiplier (OG: 1.05x (OG OG: forced 1.0x))
(This would make M903 SLAP have a similar niche to pre-rebalance .416 Barrett, by having a better velocity, but a limited 1-hit torso kill range as a tradeoff.) BFG 50: 265.3 stud 1-hit torso kill range
Hecate II: 105.3 stud 1-hit torso kill range
(While the Hecate would have a vastly inferior 1-hit torso kill range compared to the BFG, keep in mind it gets the same velocity and penetration benefits the BFG gets, meaning near-NTW levels of wallbanging with almost double the muzzle velocity, while also being magazine-fed and thus capable of using Marksman Kit, along with having over double the capacity of the NTW proper, much more mobile, and would only have two fewer studs penetration.)
1.5x penetration (OG: 1.25x (OG OG: 2.0x))
(Since this’ll still have a torso kill range, albeit a limited one, the penetration buff still won’t be as strong as before, at 15 studs w/ BFG and Hecate (18 w/ Heavy Barrel; 7.5 studs w/ Light Barrel), and 7.5 studs w/ M107.)
1.5x suppression radius (OG: 1.0x (OG OG: 0.5x))
(applies ONLY to Hecate II and BFG 50, and this is designed to make missed shots more punishing due to both the wider suppression radius and harsher suppression due to velocity, encouraging enemies to duck and cover when they get near missed. This doesn’t apply to the M107 for obvious reasons, namely that it can far more easily capitalize on suppression than the other two .50 BMG snipers.)
BFG 50 w/ M903 SLAP + Heavy Barrel (example)
95-90.25 damage (0.95x max and min damage)
35-420 range (0.7x range0, 1.4x range1 from Heavy Barrel, 1.2x range1 from M903 SLAP)
4,320 stud/s velocity (1.2x from Heavy Barrel, 1.2x from M903 SLAP)
3.0x head, 1.1x torso multipliers (hardset 1.1x from M903 SLAP)
(285-270.75 head, 104.5-99.275 torso damage)
18.0 stud penetration (1.5x from M903 SLAP, 1.2x from Heavy Barrel)
366.5 stud 1-hit torso kill range (as mentioned above)

2024.05.16 19:59 takes_many_shits The HMG is a lot better than you'd expect when used correctly and is extremely versatile. Its NOT a chaff clear weapon. Here is a list of some good ways to use it.

When used to clear chaff and for dakka like you'd use any other MG in most games, the HMG will suck because it has tiny ammo capacity (and arguably could use an ammo buff even for what I will highlight here). However thats not what the HMG is for, and we already have the Stalwart and standard MG for chaff clear. I have used the HMG a lot now against both bots and bugs and to summarize its the junior Autocannon in terms of how flexible it is, although with the lower total firepower considering its not a backpack weapon. A very important thing about HMG is to vary your fire rate to hit your shots or you will miss the few shots you have, I rarely go above 450rpm against bots. One thing people don't realize also is that adding the third person reticule for the HMG was a gamechanger since this thing is borderline useless in first person but very useable in third person. Armor sets that reduce recoil when crouched/prone are amazing to combine with this weapon.
With that out of the way here are some things about this weapon that make it useful:

2024.05.16 18:41 Eclihpze44 I get the M107 change is a buff but...

Did the ammo types really have to get neutered that hard? They barely do anything now. I guess .416 marginally extends your 1-shot-torso range but you give up one-shots at close range and... really? 280 whole SpS extra muzzle velocity? It's the same thing with SLAP, these ammos used to actually change how the gun plays but now they're just miniscule stat differences. "made specifically to penetrate as many walls as possible" and it adds a whole 1.25 studs of pen and 140sps of MV. At least Incinerator is still pretty much as fast as it was and Ratshot is still just about okay.
Why just make the gun more boring and campy rather than letting it lean into the "heavy SVDS/Mosin" kind of role it had before (unintentionally, ofc, inconsistent body 1-shots and high MV will do that though)?
I will admit the other changes like the Ext. Magazine and CQB Barrel (my beloved) buffs are good though

2024.05.16 18:28 TogetherPlantyAndMe Simple ways you’ve improved your life? (And you can’t say meditation, journaling, cold plunges, or deleting social media)

There’s nothing WRONG with meditation, could plunges, etc., but I feel like they get mentioned in every internet post about simple ways of making your life better.
For me:
-I bring clean socks into the bathroom before I shower, and then after, I fully dry off my feet and put my new socks on. Feels fantastic.
-I have a coffee pot with an auto feature and I set up my coffee the night before. I use pretty cheap French vanilla flavored coffee. I love it. It’s easy and it wakes me up.
-when I can’t sleep in the middle of the night, I get up, light a candle, and do like 20 minutes of basic yoga moves and stretches. Sometimes I add a calm podcast or audiobook, or audio rosary.
-I stopped pretending to care about professional sports. I used to worry a lot about what boys thought of me (lol lol lol!) and tried so hard to follow sports and sports news but it was like pulling teeth. At some point I realized that it simply didn’t matter, I can just stay quiet while other people talk about their sports, and if someone asks me, I can just say, “Oh, I don’t follow [sports team]. Have you gone and seen any games lately— did you have fun?”
-I use my electric kettle to boil water, then I pour the boiling water into a pot on the stove and turn the burner on. Saves 10 minutes on boiling a quart of water.
-I bring magazines with me when I’m out with my baby. I can read sometimes when she entertains herself and I don’t have to be bored or feel guilty about using my phone around her. And if I lose it? That’s fine, it wasn’t a library book.
-when I feel bad about my body, I put on mascara, a high ponytail, and something high-waisted. Then I often feel better.
-I have figured out the world’s easiest, most filling, “meals,” for when I absolutely can’t cook or wait for takeout, and I keep them on hand. They’re kind of depressing, but it’s enough fiber, protein, and fat to keep me full.
-I don’t fold laundry. Either it’s nice and it gets hung up, or it doesn’t matter and it gets gently thrown in its appointed drawer. Modern fabrics don’t wrinkle like older ones do. Who cares? Not me.
What about you?

2024.05.16 18:22 Kaslight Hotbar Action Change is the biggest win for 7.0 and XIV

Hotbar Action Change is the biggest win for 7.0 and XIV
They're adding an option to make basic 1-2-3 and Followup skills operate on a single button press (Like PVP mode)
I was praying they finally made this change in PvE after playing the new PVP. And Dawntrail has confirmed to have delivered.
Edit: There is literal video footage of YoshiP using this for basic, 1-2-3, On GCD combos. Yes, this is what it's for.
Edit: People are really pressed about this, so here we go:
Video Footage : https://youtu.be/oh5piV-0MWQ?t=10448
Determine for yourself. Basic Viper combo, both are 1-2-3, both are On GCD.
There is nothing unique about these Viper actions that wouldn't apply to another class, but either i'm wrong or you're coping lol. It's literally just PVP
YoshiP said Viper was designed with this feature in mind....probably because they wouldn't have designed the class this way without it. Viper's combo pathing is literally just ARHeavensward tank combos, and those were likely removed because of button bloat too.
Yes, there's video footage of it working on Basic 1-2-3 Combos. Go look it up.
Seriously, this is a complete win for both camps, and the future of the game.
For people concerned about "difficulty".....many of us have been pressing some version of "Fast Blade > Riot Blade > Rage of Halone" for 10 years now. You can't screw it up, you won't screw it up, a 5 year old can consistently do it, and it doesn't make dungeons or ultimates any harder. Quit crying.
Now that that's out of the way, the problem as of 2024 is that it does make the game more complicated for casuals to play efficiently. Not in any significant way mind you, I started playing XIV on PS3 playing pad exclusively and the game has multiple options to make openers and weaves perfectly doable. But most people aren't me, and won't be bothered finding the L2>R2 hotbar options + Double Press cross bars + shared/non shared hotbar switching and customize them per-class in order to have enough space to make tight openers accessible on pad.
And XIV devs have been fighting against issue since Heavensward. It's probably not the only reason why, but it's almost certainly a big reason why Tanks lost their Enmity Combos, and classes like DRK lost their secondary DPS combos.
Every new expansion, classes lose multiple skills each (sorry Arcanist) and have others consolidated into traits (sorry Samurai). The result is that class complexity and breadth of skills have been hard-capped by button bloat...not because the devs don't want to add skills, but because they are forced to accommodate all input methods when adding new skills to the jobs and have to consider how it affects the accessibility of the class.
And now we have the Auto-Combo Feature.
It's optional, but the important thing is that there is no longer any real excuse against adding more varied skills to classes for the sake of identity. Newer classes (Like Viper) are built with this system in mind, and future improvements to existing jobs can leverage this in order to pile on new abilities and OGCDs.
Taking Dragoon for example, a typical crossbar for rotation needs:
  • True Thrust > Vorpal Thrust > Heaven's Thrust (3)
  • Disembowel > Chaotic Spring (2)
  • Wheeling Thrust > Fang and Claw (2)
  • Raiden Thrust > Sonic Thrust > Coearthan Torment (3)
  • High Jump > Mirage Dive (2)
  • 2 other jumps
  • Geirskogul and Stardiver (2)
  • Wyrmwind Thrust (1)
  • All your buffs (4)
  • 6 role abilities
  • Piercing Talon and Elusive Jump (2)
  • Whatever potions you use
that's approaching 30 buttons. Typical hotbar holds 16, 32 with R2>L2 / L2>R2.
Perfectly doable....except the aux hotbars are not visible unless you're using them, meaning these skills (and their CDs) are invisible to the UI unless you make another hotbar specifically to have them on the screen just to tell you when they're up again if you dont have a 2 minute rotation down.
Square will not add any more abilities to this class under these circumstances. However, with the new system, Dragoon looks like this:
  • True Thrust Combo (1)
  • Disembowel Combo (1)
  • Front or Back Positional Combo (1)
  • AoE Combo (1)
  • High Jump Combo (1 or 2, depends)
  • 2 other jumps
  • Geirskogul and Stardiver (2)
  • Wyrmwind Thrust (1)
  • All your buffs (4)
  • 6 role abilities
  • Piercing Talon and Elusive Jump (2)
From 30 buttons to 22. This means 70% of your skills can fit on the initial 16 crossbar spaces, with 100% of them fitting on a single aux window, and 100% of your active skills fitting on the visible 16.
The reason this is great for XIV's future is because we now know the maximum amount of bloat Square will allow. And as of 7.0, we will be far below that threshold. Meaning, whether 8.0 increases by 10 levels or 50 (like ARR), using their current methods they can realistically double the amount of active skills.
TL;DR
This feature removes the single biggest hurdle Square has been struggling with when it comes to action design with jobs with each increasing expansion. And the best part is that it works for both PC and Pad players.
If they want to add 2 more GCD combos with 6 buttons each to a class next expansion, they're free to do so because they have a feature to make it manageable. And the people who just want to have 45 buttons on their hotbars still can.
OFC this doesn't do much for mages, but they don't really have this issue the way DPS and Tank classes do.
YoshiP explicitly said that they've focused on accessibility for 7.0, and mentioned they're already thinking about class identity for 8.0. This feature alone seems to have allowed them a clean slate.

2024.05.16 17:44 believesinconspiracy How to end your loss streak

My friend got very tilted last night as he was on a loss streak which finally ended once we played together.
Here are my tips:
1# Change Champion
There’s a chance your favourite champ isn’t as viable as they once were.
Other champs have similar playstyles which you could transfer your skills to. Unless you’re going for rank #1 / top 200, this should be the first thing you change.
2# Change Role
If your Mid / Adc / Jungle is so bad, why don’t you put your skills to the test?
Maybe you play too safe as an ADC or too aggressive as a support, there’s nothing wrong with changing roles because to get better at one role you need to know how the others interact with eachother.
3# Review your games
Watch back your replays to see if you can spot mistakes.
Most players will be able to identify mechanical mistakes but macro can be a bit subjective depending on Elo / champion / skill, however, big macro mistakes are usually easy to spot.
4# Are you warding?
well, are you?
*** MY PERSONAL TIPS***
1) Learn to get carried, I see supports splitting to get more gold for themselves, tanks soloing a blue buff and ADCs walking past the halfway point after their turret is down with no wards.
It’s okay to not win games but don’t make yourself lose.
2) the player who knows the matchups best usually wins, even if they are being countered.
Example: just pick rammus vs Yi, well unfortunately if the Yi knows not to attack while your second skill (w) is up, you won’t counter him.
This same idea can be applied to most counter matchups, there’s usually only 1 or 2 situations that the counter hinges on - if you’re clued up you can exploit their lack of knowledge.
3) Flip between hyper safety and extreme aggression.
You need to auto attack your opponent as much as possible, poke whenever you can and dodge. Look up Tethering + league of legends on YouTube to learn more, you’ll become untouchable.
4) You need to know your champions limits on both ends of the spectrum.
Example: Riven lvl 1 beats almost everyone, Riven Lvl 3 (while we all are too) doesn’t beat everyone.
A nasus will always get a sheen on first base so it’s important to note that. Sometimes I “mirror” my opponent’s build to counter them.
5) don’t be afraid, trust your skill.
Flash on their squishies as soon as they are dispositioned late game, their flash is usually worth more than yours.
Use the bushes, enter the flow state and focus. Don’t panic or rush as this disrupts you from getting better; breathe.
1v4? No problem, funnel them into a small area so your team can either follow up, or, drag them away from your team so they can get objectives.
Practice your combos and champions please, I don’t like seeing a “level 6” that doesn’t know which combo does the most damage.
Please guys drop tips below for other ways to end a loss streak / tips in general, I’m open to learn << another top tip.

2024.05.16 17:14 chu88y_8unny Orbers, Positions and Orders

Hi guys, gotta a few questions:
  1. If I already have a build SP Oitsuki as an Orb battery, should I build SP Kaguya too and replace Oitsuki with Kaguya?
  2. If I choose SP Kaguya as my main Orb Battery, can she be sufficient to sustain long battles for my party, alone?, and does she need SPD? Should I just set her on her 2nd skill rather than activate all of her skills in auto-battle?, can she also give buffs to the Party so I don't have to bring Shoukurei or Enmusubi along to help her?
  3. Do the ORDERS and positioning in the line matter in general, who or what should put where?
Thanks!

2024.05.16 17:07 Zck884 Feeling Down From Last Patch

Really struggling to consistently adapt to 22 recent patch changes: - the loss of the tenacity rune - the nerf to steel plated boots
Honestly guys I’m feeling really discouraged; the old flat 12% dmg reduction on the boots, and the loss of the tenacity rune now make me feel so much more vulnerable to ranged cc and aa damage. Now ik some may be thinking- “but the boots are still good vs auto attack champs? True, BUT: - the boots no longer reduce dmg from all of sources, and 12% is not even an big amount, so now they’re so much more niche and are not nearly as good in most other gameplay situations. Aka just bc they have 2 aa ranged champs doing ok, doesn’t justify giving up all the tenacity I will need from merc treads so I’m not cc’d for a decade. - Although LT was removed, so many crit & ias items designed mainly for ranged ad were buffed hard!! So no, more often, I will need to build the steel plated boots just for them, but now I’m left vulnerable to ranged enemy cc (that so many champions [esp all the cracked out new ones/more recent ones] all seem to have). 💠Essentially, I feel pigeonhole into getting merc treads just for tenacity almost every game, which just exposes me to the buffed ad ranged ias crit items. Either way I’m getting blasted by heavy debilitating ranges cc, or buffed out ad ranged aa’s. This makes me feel wayyyy more useless in team fight settings, forcing me more into a split push top strat wayyyy more (nothing wrong w/ that strat but the freedom to chose which I find more fun is now severely hampered).
Since Voli has such a big hit box and his style is very ‘bull rush’ bruiser, he relies on intrinsic tenacity via runes and accumulating/stacking small/medium amounts of defensive stats a lot! Now we have to compromise our item build freedom to accommodate these losses to essential stats we not longer get, or settle for stats that just less/inefficient in most games (I.e. small amount of aa dmg reduction on new steel plate boots)
🔆More on Tenacity rune loss: - I certainly don’t want to HAVE to build steraks in the first 2items- esp when it feels so forced.
💠Overall:
Also, Voli was in a decent spot before, esp with Voli mains, but now he feels like I have to compromise the newly improved feeling of item versatility in the game and new found build freedom we gained after mythics were let go & riot brought in a ton of new items that felt amazing imo. This feels like a pretty big step backwards not just for Voli, but melee champs in general esp with big hit boxes now vulnerable to the buffs to so many crit and ranged ad items with the increased crit & ias.
Kinda feeling defeated and very unmotivated right now, when I was just starting to feel recovered/adapted to the Voli semi recent nerfs.
Idk it feels like riot doesn’t understand how important tenacity as a stat is on melee, and why they originally changed the original “aa dmg reduction” steel plated boots/ninja tabis to “all dmg reduction” in the first place way back when bc NO ONE was building them… Anyone relating to any of this at all?

2024.05.16 15:15 TechnoTren With exception of a few weapons, most weapons in the game just got a nerf, not a buff.

With just a few exceptions, most weapons are getting a nerf if you actually ran damage spec mods. Have watched a few videos and people have talked about buffs, but haven't actually thought it through. For instance.... All Legendary rocket launchers just received a 7-10% damage nerf. They did not receive a buff to compensate for the spec mod removal. All legendary GLs just received a 7-10% damage nerf. All legendary handcannons just received a 2-5% nerf against red bars and a 7-10% nerf against majors and bosses. All legendary kinetic handcannons just took a 15-18% damage nerf against majors and bosses due to the removal of kinetic bonus damage. Exotic kinetic handcannons just took a very similar nerf against red bars with no kinetic bonus and from 40% to 30% exotic bonus. Lucky pants wardens law and malfeasance builds both just took btween a 10-15%+ nerf. LFR took a 2-5% nerf. Machine guns and swords took a 3% nerf against taken. Depending on spec mod you chose, most other weapon types would take a nerf against majors and bosses, not that that is what those weapons are meant for, but it is still a fact. Sidearms, auto rifles, scout rifles, and bows nerfed for majors and bosses if that is what you were using them for. There are others not mentioned. Smarter folks than me will figure it all out, I just wanted to point out some glaring omissions by bungie on how serious these nerfs are. Mainly, the main legendary DPS heavy weapons took hefty nerfs. Please let me know if I have somehow missed something that makes this not true. Or if I need to adjust some numbers or something.

2024.05.16 15:14 Redditer80 Changing spawn composition and rates to make a planet unique

For example, one automaton planet has mostly light robots, but double or triple the spawn rate. One planet staffs robot bases with double the bots or has increased patrols near bases or bases have a guaranteed tank each or all three. On the bug side, one bug planet can be 3/4 bile spewers. High command recommends auto cannon and grenade launcher. A locust swarm of hunters or a dust storm with hunters gliding through. High command recommends shotguns and fire.
The game feels stale because it's the same patrol/enemy composition in all medium planets. And the same patrol/enemy composition in suicide for all planets...etc.
I'd like to see a little variation besides weather and mission type. Keep us on our toes.
The players love their robot Vietnam's and it's fun when we have multiple Vietnams. Can you imagine a planet that's only stalkers and the only mission is to raise the flag as a very small defend sized map? Could we beat it once, let alone liberate it? If not a whole planet, maybe this IS the mission.
What if we mixed it up every 3 months? Boom, they hit that reset button again. People don't figure out a map after the first time, they have to play it many times until they figure out the ins and outs completely. This naturally keeps it fresh while presenting a unique challenge for longer.
I do have a pause for warning though. I don't actually want spawn compositions randomized. That would be horrible except for maybe 1 bot and bug planet that's completely random, randomized each game, for those epic sharable videos of whatever you can imagine because it's literally random every game, so it's possible. Back on track, what I'm trying to say is say you have 253 planets. You give 200 employees 1 planet each to do what they want and they're going to compete the fuck out of it. They'll be offering to make custom models, textures, features for free on the weekends. Oh and Charger Joel gets 50. I get 3 because this idea is brilliant. If Joel sees certain planets being played more, there can be a promotion and demotion of planet makeups each season and shuffled around. This allows the community to experience new planet holders or search for which planet got the fan favorite old school malevelon Creek template.
A concern is Arrowhead thought of this and determined it would be too difficult for the players to adapt that often. (Or you can buff the guns or reduce strategem time on harder composition lobbies)
This was a fun one I came up with while writing this:
Planet affect: alien dust reduces all gun fire rate-over time, recoil handling increased-over time. High command recommends heavy machine gun for planet. If you survive with the gun until max fire rate penalty, your recoil handling is so high, you now have a gattling sniper. Everyone needs a little godmode.
Imagine the community when they find out about gattling sniper planet, and the streamers showing you the best planet you're not landing on. Fml, we probably don't need those videos in our lives, but I want these ideas in my game.

2024.05.16 15:13 MinecraftSexUpdate [GUIDE] Enjoy GAMING again by ruining the fun of sexhavers and foids

Are you a gamer? Want to take out on normies, sexhavers, and foids that infest what used to be OUR hobby? Those of us born in the 80's will remember a time when being a gamer was scorned. We were bullied, chastised, and shunned from our peer groups for enjoying video games. This would last up until the mid to late 90's when the media finally started pushing games to "dudebros" and eventually women in the early to mid 2000's. Finally in the past 10 years we've seen an infestation of shitskins and third worlders completely flooding everything. I refuse to lay down and die. I will stand and fight till the bitter end.
It's time to turn the tables and make them suffer as they made us suffer, both in life and the virtual world. (Legally and within the confines of the game, this is NOT a guide to IRL ruinate or anything of the sort.) Some of this stuff isn't allowed if you're an EU gamer.
First off, you're going to have to let go of playing video games to "win" or acquire virtual greed. You're going to need a new mindset. The mindset of a sadistic psychopath hellbent on extracting keks from anyone and everyone deemed not one of us. No more giving a fuck about your KDA, w/l ratio, or "following the rules" or the "meta" of what other players expect you to do. You are a gamer going your own way, regardless of what the groupthink expects or wants. If the game is F2P or you're a richfag or jewtuber who can get free games from devs then being banned is part of the fun, and is expected of you. If you cannot afford to buy back into games or are too technologically retarded to change your IP and spoof your hardware to get around bans in F2P games then you'll have to tread carefully.
Here's the part where I instruct you on how to fuck over these sexhavers for your own sadistic pleasure. After all they've denied us a life worth living in the real world and treat us like lepers. It's time they feel uncomfortable in OUR space. Feel free to add to any of these methods or pitch in ideas.
Foid infested "cozy" games
Shit like "Animal Crossing" or "Palia." Anything that lets you decorate and grow shit is a "cozy" game and women infest these games more than any other. It's literally a containment game of sorts to keep them out of other shit. To fuck with women in these games all you have to do is steal resources, build ugly and annoying things within the game world, be rude via emotes and text chat, and use emotes to make it look like your character is grabbing their tits or eating them out. I once did /eat to some slag girl gamer in WoW Vanilla 20 years ago and when I reverse searched my name she was bitching about it on reddit and remembered my characters exact name 4-5 years ago. She's STILL SEETHING about it 15 years later. This is what you want. Virtual RAPE. Many foids stream these types of games, and it's incredibly easy to get under their skin. Make the ugliest characters you possibly can and always stand in their camera. Stalk them in-game. Uglify the world around them. Spam emotes. The world is your oyster.
MMORPG's
World of Warcraft, or anything else really. Gank them. Corpse camp them. Dispel their world buffs. Emote spam sexually assault them. Use a high level or highly geared character to camp low level quest zones and steal mobs, resources, and kill low level players. Stream snipe them till they hide their screen with nothingness. Join their guilds and steal their resources after faking being a Chad. Get the entire guild wiped, blame it on the women healers. Play a vital role and underperform / disconnect at pivotal moments and blame a thunderstorm. Make everyone wait on your actions, but not enough to get gkicked. Openly challenge sex havers lifestyles in discord voice calls and call them out on their privileged bullshit. (Genetics, riches, went to a nice school, raised by good parents, etc.) Use every underbelly evil shithead tactic that these fuckers used towards us during our childhoods and young adult lives. Roleplay it up and lie about your IRL self to make them feel inferior. Exploit early and often, and cash out via RMT before you get banned or when you quit for some NEET bucks. If the game has a "random queue" system you can wipe endless groups or refuse to participate and hold entire game lobbies hostage.
FPS
Overwatch, Counter Strike, etc. Simply play terribly in ranked matches. Don't assist the team. Mic spam. Play vital roles like tank or healer then simply don't heal and tell them openly on the mic to beg if they want heals. Refuse to play at all if a woman is in voice chat. Verbally accost every white knight that defends her. Remember, they're most likely wagies who have to go to work tomorrow and you're most likely a NEET who has infinite free time. Remind them of this. (Even if it's not true.) In FPS with one life, openly tell the enemy team where your team mates are camping. Use aimbots, wall hacks, and other cheats to make both sides pissed off. If you're doing well gloat. If you're playing shittily, then call them a loser or a nerd. Flashbang your own team. Drop objective items as far as possible. Die with expensive guns (Auto sniper in CS triggers normies.) and make sure the enemy acquires them. Acquire or goad team mates into team killing you to 2 week ban them.
MOBA / RTS
League, Dota 2, Age of Empires, and other slop. Never go to the "meta" lane. (AD carry / support normally go bottom lane, but you're gonna always go middle, and steal your own teams jungle.) Never build the right items. Feed the enemy team, kill steal your own. Never push lanes or objectives. Ping spam. Keep text chats very "safe" to avoid bans. When a team mate dies, some ping spam and a "?" goes a long way. Never agree to surrender, unless your team is winning. Always report everyone who rages on you. Play characters that have statistically low win rates or are extra annoying. Use a lag switch to delay and hold entire lobbies hostage (RTS). Wall in your own team. Use retarded high risk low reward build orders. Be completely useless all of the time and never join team fights except after everyone's dead then schizo gaslight them that they were the ones not helping.
Survival, Crafting / Building Games
Minecraft, and shit like it. Become insanely super godlike good at the game. Learn all the metas, muscle memory, speed run tech, and master PvP. Join reddit servers and ruinate months of "cozy crafting" with max enchanted equipment and masterful grief tactics. Construct server destroying redstone machines. Completely ruin spawn and active players bases while they're offline. Destroy their VIP / pay 2 win "donation" special items. Join their discords and spam anti-vax, anti-pitbull, and black people violence webms from rekt threads on 4chan to get their servers shut down. Literally use modded hacked clients to ESP radar hack and dupe your way to victory, kicking down reddit twerps virtual sand castles and record the seethe in their discord voice chats while pretending you don't know what's going on. Abuse and exploit anything you can to the detriment of other players (Shittily coded cash shops and stores. RPG elements that are 100% broken, like a "health swap" spell that you can use on any god-geared player to swap your 1/2 heart health with their full HP then 1 shot them naked kinda shit.)
Indie slop
None of these games have any cheat protection. Cheat Engine even the most basic shit. I once played some slop card game and was able to set my opponents HP at the start of the game to 0 and win immediately. You can pretty much speed hack on all of this shit and most hack sites will have a few dedicated cheat bros that can do the wildest shit like gain access to admin panels and other destructive things. Even without cheats most basic exploits can really break these games. If a dupe method worked on one shitty survival Unreal 5 sloppa game, chances are it works on the other 7,000.
VR / Roleplay shit
Fondle titties. When the white knights run up and shout "back off" loudly point and laugh at them. Force feed slags coconut drinks. Put your arm around everyone and get really up close in their face. Make fun of their furfag outfits. Call them trannies. Take a right wing stance on everything. Use cheats to spam gore and porn everywhere. Use mod menus (Cheats) to force other players to emote or spawn giant laggy objects and explosions. Always talk shit in VOIP and spam soundboards. Be as annoying and as insufferable as possible.
Single Player Games
Okay, so this one's hard to "troll" but there's still ways to do it. You gotta share stuff in normie spaces that will offend and upset them. There was a guy that played Red Dead 2 and brutually murdered and tortured the "women have a right to vote" NPC to the point where he got banned off jewtube for it cause it pissed off so many redditors. You're gonna have to be real creative with this one. If you're a jewtuber you can intentionally kill off all the gay NPC's in Baldurs Gate 3 or something during your streams or playthroughs and watch the seethe roll in. Or make misleading and untrue guides or push a narrative you'd prefer to see and post them to normie sites to really stick it to 'em.
Please, feel free to share your ways of griefing and trolling foids and sexhavers within the confines of the video game. Since we can't be happy in real life, the least we can do is make their virtual lives closer to ours. Give them a taste of their own medicine. The only joy I have left in life is making others seethe in video games, because what the fuck else is there to do?

2024.05.16 14:19 ave369 [Dev Suggestion] End of the Cycle Revamp

The End of the Cycle is another aspect of the game that was hit hard by power creep, same as the fallen empires. Fallen empires received a buff so they are once again formidable, but the poor End of the Cycle still sucks. It is still a 2010s mechanic with poor combat stats of the boss monster.
Here are my ideas of reworking End of the Cycle:

2024.05.16 13:04 babyFucci New Corki stinks

I'm not even talking about balance which i suspect will be fine after like 3 patches of straight damage buffs (hes so fucking bad right now holy shit)
His new identity just sucks though i dont think he suits being an adc at all in his current state he's just a really shitty low range (low auto range + required autos to reset R) varus on a budget until he eventually scales into the worlds most lackluster late game hyper carry
I understand that Riot has had problems with Corki being too much of a menace in pro and dogshit in solo q but i feel like that could've been made completely fine for both by just removing his package and then giving compensation to his early game by buffing his E/Q. I think his terrible early game was the biggest contributor as to why his winrates were so terrible in solo q because he provided basically nothing except for relatively low amount of dps until 2 items and manamune was stacked but then really came online at level 16
I've been playing Corki mid for 2 years as my go to mid pick which is my secondary role at masters+ elo and personally i've always managed above 50% winrates on him even when his winrates were floating around 45% so i understand why changes had to be made but i think they shouldve just kept him as a mid laner and it really sucks to lose him as a good magic damage pick because Riot decided to force him to be an exclusive adc pick when literally nobody asked or wanted that just because they decided to go too far with a cha

DevBlog #37: Wave 2.5, new website released, statistics, roadmap, Syrenthia progress
Maxchill made a cool animation for WalkScape!
Hello WalkScapers! We have a lot to cover this time, so let's walk jump right into it!

Wave 2.5

Wave 2.5 will be open between June 1st and June 15th. All supporters before June 15th 12:00:00 UTC will gain access to the game starting June 1st, or whenever you support during this time period. As usual, link your Patreon or Buy Me a Coffee (BMaC) to the WalkScape Portal. We are also planning to rework our integration with these platforms before Wave 2.5 starts. In the past, players had to wait up to 2 hours for their support to be recognized and beta access given, but we are hoping to provide a better experience by improving how this works. We will communicate when this goes live and would appreciate any reports on the new system.
You can support the game at Patreon and Buy Me a Coffee.

Why not Wave 3?

We plan to stick to our original plan regarding the features we want to include in Wave 3. However, it seems this is taking more time than originally anticipated due to the prolonged struggle with fixing the Android pedometer.
I feel uncomfortable about delaying access for those who've supported our development efforts after Wave 2 until the completion of Wave 3. It doesn't seem fair, so we'll compromise by introducing "Wave 2.5", where only supporters will gain access in a shorter time frame than our usual waves.
Once again, my personal thanks go out to everyone who has been supporting us. We may have more of these "intermittent" waves when necessary. Thank you, and I hope you'll enjoy the game starting on June 1st ❤️

New website and roadmap

Brand new WalkScape website!
Our new developer, Myzozoz, has been hard at work, and our redesigned WalkScape website has been released with just a few things to improve further.
Check it out!
The new website has a new look that is now similar to how the game looks and feels. Also, it has some awesome new features:
  • You can see when the next wave is coming right at the top.
  • You can see the newest development posts from Portal.
  • You can see live updating stats about the game. I am personally super hyped about this, and the stats currently include a few fun things from the game plus daily updating steps gained by all of our players in a monthly chart.
  • A press kit, trailer video, and more.
And most importantly: NEW ROADMAP
In the roadmap, we're including what’s happened in the past, and also giving updated info on what’s happening next. We’ll try to keep this one updated as much as possible. I hope you like it!

Pedometer updates

So, we just released +242 earlier this week, and the great thing is that things are starting to look very stable once more in terms of the Android pedometer.
Just as a recap of why we went through a lot of hoops to improve it:
  • The original pedometer for Android in the 1st Wave lost your step count when your phone updated/rebooted. This was not ideal, so I needed to come up with something that could retain your step count even when the phone restarts.
  • The new pedometer retained your step count through reboots by introducing a background process for WalkScape that saves the count even while the game isn’t active. This, however, introduced a battery drain problem, especially on Pixel devices.
  • I optimized the background process as much as possible, which reduced the battery consumption back to being negligible. By optimizing it, new edge case issues were introduced that weren’t caught in our internal testing due to our limited amount of devices.
  • I started to fix these edge cases, and thanks to everyone reporting weird behavior. It’s great that we have so many devices in Closed Beta, as with your reports I managed to start tackling issues. This process was more or less whack-a-mole.
  • With +242, we’ve now reached a point where we haven’t heard any serious issues apart from a few that I’ll cover below.
First off, this was a significant challenge from a development standpoint. Google's documentation on achieving this functionality without relying on their services (Google Fit or Health Connect) is… unclear. The fact that each manufacturer and Android version has different permissions and limitations with background processes made the development even more complex.
If you're still experiencing issues with the pedometer not counting steps while in the background, these issues seem to almost universally relate to the permissions you've granted to WalkScape. Currently, I don’t have the time to make the game smart enough to prompt you to enable certain settings depending on your manufacturer and Android version, as that would require a significant amount of work.
Common troubleshooting steps for background step counting, depending on your manufacturer and Android version, are (some of these may not be available/listed depending on your phone):
  • Enable Autostart permission for WalkScape.
  • Grant permission for WalkScape to run in the background.
  • Turn off disabling permissions from WalkScape when it's in the background.
  • In your system settings, try placing WalkScape in "Background usage limits" into "never auto sleeping apps".
  • Try enabling notifications. You can disable the mandatory sticky notification from WalkScape in notification channels, it's listed there as "WalkScape sticky notification (disable this)". All other notifications from WalkScape are opt-in and customizable through in-game settings, this one comes from Android.
  • Try enabling "Unrestricted Battery Optimization" in app settings.
If you've encountered an issue that required special settings to get the background steps working, it would greatly assist me if you could provide information about your device, Android version, and the settings that resolved the issue. This will help ensure that new players are notified of these permissions, eliminating the need for troubleshooting.
You can DM me this information on Reddit, send it to contact@walkscape.app, or DM any of our mods on Discord. Including screenshots from the settings would be even more helpful! Thank you ❤️

Syrenthia progress

A new bank is coming to the game!
A new bank is coming to the game!
Now that the pedometer is mostly stable again, I've been able to resume where I left off, and we've made some progress.
In the past couple of weeks, I've been adding buffs and abilities to the game. They aren't fully complete yet, but the remaining tasks are mostly UI work.
New icons to display item keywords in the game!
Buffs & Consumables
Buffs are primarily temporary attributes that come from consumables. They can occasionally be gained from other sources too.
Your character can have one active food and one active potion being consumed at the same time (potions will be introduced later with Alchemy). This restriction is necessary to maintain balance.
When you're engaged in an activity and you have consumables in your inventory, you'll be able to select one to be consumed from your inventory while performing the activity. If your activity stops, the items that weren't consumed will not be wasted and will remain in your inventory for later use.
The UI for all of this is still being designed and developed, but I'll share it when it's presentable. We're trying to find the best possible compromise where the UI will be easy to understand and quick to use, while also minimizing the chance of accidentally consuming items. This is why selecting items for use during an activity would be best, as it ensures that the player intentionally wants to consume their items.
Abilities
This hasn't been covered in any previous dev blog!
Abilities are what we call actions you can perform in the game that have some sort of cooldown. The Syrenthia update will include some items utilizing this, mainly this very interesting item here:
What do you think it does?
Some items, and possibly other things later on, can offer you abilities to use instead of or in addition to their typical attributes. When you have an item with an ability, these and their cooldowns will be displayed in a new view in the game. You can also use these abilities from that view, triggering their effect and starting the cooldown.
Cooldowns can be based on real-world time, steps, and actions. For example, using an ability might have a cooldown of 10,000 steps until you can trigger it again.
Items containing abilities will be very rare and unique, and we want to keep them so that they don't add too much unnecessary complexity. If they have time-based cooldowns, they won't make you open the game every hour to min-max stuff.
Both buffs and abilities will be going live with Syrenthia, and I'll share more screenshots of them as the UI gets finalized. Feedback on these is always very welcome!

Statistics from the game

Floursifter did some data crunching, and also provided a lot of statistics from your progress so far!

Until next time

Phew, this was once again a very lengthy development blog post, and I’m glad you made it this far! There were a lot of things to share, and I hope you liked it.
In the upcoming weeks, I’ll be working fully on new gameplay features, and I won’t be focusing on pedometer stuff for the time being unless there’s something critical. From the feedback so far, it sounds like the majority of the issues have been resolved now.
We’ll see each other again in two weeks, and until then - happy walking and stay hydrated! I’m excited for Wave 2.5, as many new people will be able to start playing.
