Training

For background, I (36M) started running in 2020, set the goal of running 12 marathons in 2024 and have completed six so far: Houston (3:12), Surf City (3:14), Napa (3:11), LA (3:25), Eugene (3:06) and Ogden (3:06). Number seven would be the Tunnel Marathon.
After Ogden, I finally started to feel the cumulative effects of seven marathons in six months, dating back to CIM in December. It seemed like every lower body part that could ache was aching -- toes, arches, ankles, achilles and shins -- and recovery took longer than usual.
Even though my body was barking at me, I still felt like I was in good marathon shape, and metathon predicted a 3:06 one week out, which was close enough to a BQ time for me to decide to use the Tunnel Marathon to take a second crack at running under 3:05. With summer having arrived early in northern California, I also told myself that it would be my last PR-type effort for a few months at minimum.
During the three weeks between Ogden and Tunnel -- before beginning a 6-day taper -- I squeezed in one long run of 21 miles and a handful of medium long runs between 12 to 15 miles. My last quality session before the taper was a half-marathon, in which I set a PB of 1:28. While it may not have been the most sensible decision, it gave me a confidence boost that I might be able to hold 7-minute mile pace for a little more than three hours.

Pre-race

I flew into Seattle Friday morning and rented a car to drive to one of the race-affiliated hotels in Issaquah. The hotel was within walking distance to a Safeway where I picked up a box of uncrustables and several pints of ice cream since I have the palate of a toddler.
On Saturday morning, I stuck to my usual pre-marathon 4-mile run and ended up getting a bit carried away, logging two miles at sub-7-minute pace. Afterwards, I noshed on pasta, pizza and cookies until packet pick-up, which was held between 12pm-4pm at a local middle school parking lot. From the time I parked to the time I got my bib, not more than 5 minutes passed, which is the quickest bib pick-up I've experienced.
Race morning, I woke up at 3:15am, had coffee, did some light stretching and set off on a 40-minute drive to the start line at the Snoqualmie Pass. I didn't have an appetite but forced down a few mini graham crackers Southwest hands out during flights.
Over the past few marathons, I've lucked out on the weather, and this marathon continued that trend: low 50's with plenty of cloud cover at the start with highs in the 70's later in the day.

Race

After letting myself get sucked into the 3:05 pacer's race in Ogden, the phrase that kept swirling around in my head at the start area was "Run your race," which to a large extent meant start conservatively. To reinforce that approach, I ordered a pace band from findmymarathon and selected the very conservative start strategy, which had me aiming for between 7:10 to 7:20 per mile through the first three miles.
One of the appeals of the Tunnel Marathons is getting to run through a tunnel for a little over 2 miles, and this is where things got perilous. The terrain in the tunnel is straight out of Home Alone 2 with a litany of booby traps: uneven pavement, huge potholes, mud and puddles of water. Even though I and everyone around me had their head lamps on, someone a few feet in front of me took a nasty fall, and I rolled my ankle due to a pothole.
After making it out of the tunnel, I caught up to the 3-hour pace group, which is not something I've ever done before, and ran with them for about a mile. Due to the near disaster earlier, I decided to pass the 3-hour pace group so I could see the pavement in front of me, and this became one of my primary objectives for the remainder of the race.
And so, from mile 4 on, I was more or less on my own, occasionally passing an early start marathoner or having to dodge oncoming bike riders. I did make a point of taking in the scenery when crossing bridges, but as soon as gravel was underfoot again, I quickly turned my attention to the ground in front of me.
After coming through the half well under 1:30, I thought perhaps I was going too fast and needed to dial it back. I took inventory of how I was feeling, and the effort didn't feel particularly labored, so I just kept clipping off sub-6:50 miles (which feels bananas to write).
At mile 20, I took my fourth and final gel and allowed myself to entertain the thought of running under 3 hours. Given the struggles I've had in the last 5k of marathons, I told myself to take it one mile at a time. As I entered those final miles, my legs were feeling good, so I started to crank down the pace, dropping down into threshold pace for miles 24 through 26. Making the last turn and entering the final straightaway, I could vaguely see 2:50 something on the clock and gave one final push to the finish.

Post-race

After crossing the finish line, I was in disbelief. Not only did I run under 3:05, but I ran under 3 hours, which frankly is not something I ever thought was in the cards for me. A volunteer handed me a cold towel and cup of water, and I spent a few minutes soaking in the finish line area.
There was an interesting variety of treats, from potato chips to fresh fruit and slices of cake and mixed nuts, but I just grabbed a couple cans of coke and cartons of chocolate milk before hopping on a bus back to the start line.
At the risk of statng the obvious, the Tunnel Marathon is a very fast course, though the terrain does present some challenges. Certainly happy I got a chance to run this marathon and wouldn't hesitate recommending it to others.

I was hoping with the death of Lance they would let Zavala retire. Don’t get me wrong I absolutely loved lances voice acting and I don’t really have a problem with the new guy. But Zavala himself I’ve always just found to be whiny. I get he lost his family and it’s weighing on him but sometimes I feel he just has used their memory as a crutch to settle into his ways type thing.
No matter what the story is what battle we’re fighting. Zavala has always seemed to be against things just to be against them. Between Rasputins warmind, the entirety of stasis and his conflict in TFS etc.
He just over and over strikes me as somewhat hypocritical. completely against it absolutely forbidding any interaction blah blah blah until. oh wait he realizes he was wrong all along and his ideals and strong emotions go out the window.
Him getting stasis at the end was the final wtf he made such a fit about anyone using stasis but the minute he got his ghost killed he then wants it for himself.
So what do yall think have I missed some core piece of information that explains this away?
I absolutely loved the story of TFS please no one misunderstand that. I just found Zavala over the top.

It's supposed to be one of those historical intentionally bad albums. I heard the first two and put off the third, being this one. When I decided to get around to this one, all three had been taken down from Bandcamp... And that's the whole story so far.
So I've been looking for this thing for a couple of years now. I figured at this point somebody who downloaded a copy of it (and I doubt nobody downloaded a copy of it during its run on Bandcamp) would finally post it on YouTube or even Dailymotion or something. Nope. Not a single link. For the last two years, there have only been a select few links that ever appear on google whenever I type in the six letter abbreviation. And typing in the artist name and album's song titles with quotations into google (replacing the album title) have been no help. Of course I only tried a few of them, but I doubt the rest would help.
But I really doubt this album's going to stay lost forever. But if it does, please help me out here. I'm interested in how historically bad this album could be, considering I often write reviews for albums in my spare time.

Roll with me here. I'd love to see a movie about Home Alone's Harry and Marv getting out of jail and having to adapt to a new reality and new world.
It would be the same characters but a whole different genre like an Indie drama/life-affirming story. It would be much more of a character study about the two men and the fear and uncertainty of being thrust back into the world after 32+ years in prison. Maybe one or both of them have a grown kid they want to reunite with, or the struggles of finding work after jail. After escaping together they'd probably be kept at different prisons, so much of the plot could be them reuniting with each other and working out their resentment and other feelings for each other.
Mostly though, it would a chance to watch Stern and Pesci act together again and flex their skills. Ideally they redeem themselves in someway and I wouldn't even be adverse to a sort of quick scene with Culkin if it fits the narrative.
It'd be great if Chris Columbus took the helm even though it's not his usual genre of movie. I bet he'd appreciate doing something a little different if it was written well enough.
I know it's a little nuts, but the first generation of us that grew up with Home Alone are old enough now to appreciate a good Indie movie, and I know most would enjoy seeing the characters and actors together one more time.
Obviously, they'd need to smarten Marv up a bit to give Stern some room to work with, and probably downplay the injuries he took.

In Kurtis's podcast episode #239, the main topic is Nate Garner's social media rebrand and his new misogynistic, macho, and overall aggressive content.
I want to preface this by saying that I understand that Very Really Good is a comedy podcast and this isn't an in-depth critique at all. I wasn't trying to cause a stir, anticipation, or anything similar. I posted asking for permission and thought I had conveyed well that it wasn't all that significant, so I didn't worry about it or think to check Reddit for a few hours, which was my mistake. I apologize if I gave a wrong impression; I didn't take into consideration that it could be a big deal. I simply wanted to talk briefly about two of the jokes that were said in the episode that I personally didn't find appropriate or tactful given the subject. Other than that, I think Kurtis had good commentary and approach regarding the matter.
Kurtis begins the Nate Garner portion of the episode with a comedic bit about waterboarding Nate's then-girlfriend. Although it was done to get across the awfulness of his videos, any kind of joke surrounding violence against women isn't really appropriate (especially given the context and vulnerable position Karissa was placed in during a lot of Nate's videos and overall relationship with him). The first video Kurtis watches is Nate being against the statement that girlfriends don't have the responsibility of being your caregiver and that he "just wants women to do women-like things." The first pause for commentary Kurtis makes is a great understanding of why Nate's point of view is gross and problematic and sides with women and their right to be seen as an equal partner and not a mother to their boyfriend (I expect nothing less btw, I'm simply pointing it out). But the joke that follows is a bit from the perspective of Nate's mentality saying "thanks for s*cking my d*ck babe, can you read me a bedtime story." I understand this was meant to ridicule Nate and his type of mentality, but I feel it was too coarse as an introduction to an already very coarse video. The joke that followed about packing his lunch after a proposal was very good though and a more appropriate way to at least start the commentary on the subject. Kurtis then follows up with more comedic critique which I think is great. In the second video Kurtis watches, the waterboarding joke comes up briefly again which again, I didn't find appropriate.
In conclusion, I simply think it's important to steer away from jokes about violence towards women in any context. It would have been better to focus solely on ridiculing Nate without putting women down or in a vulnerable position, even if it was only in a joke. I definitely think the episode was very good overall and transmitted that Nate's way of thinking is not respectful or acceptable at all. These two jokes I pointed out are a small detail, and I'm open to accept constructive criticism on my constructive criticism for sure.

Not long ago, I made a post about what my expectations are for the Elbaf arc. And it that list, I believed that the end of that arc could be a setup for the next Arc where Emperors Luffy & Teach will have their long awaited war!
While Idk exactly how, where, and/or when it will happen, I do in fact have a list of what my expectations will be for that very arc, which will be the main topic of this post. So without further ado, let's begin shall we.
What will inspire Luffy to go face Teach?
Besides being partly responsible for what happened to Ace & the WB Pirates, there are more good reasons why Luffy would go after Blackbeard, regardless of what his crew may think. For example, there's:
‐ The attack on Amazon Lily, where Teach tried to kill Hancock in an effort to get her Love Love Fruit, even though Rayleigh was able to thwart it in the last minute.
-Auger & Aokiji kidnapping Pudding, although that would mostly be something that will inspire Sanji to join Luffy in facing his fellow Emperor.
-Garp's capture, and possible execution (which I'll explain a bit more later in the post).
And although it hasn't happened yet, we can assume that Teach will kill Shanks not long after their long awaited reunion.
Plus, let's not forget that both Fishman & Wano will perish the moment Caribou tells the Blackbeard Pirates that 2 of the Ancient weapons are located there! And I don't expect Caribou to receive the same redemption arc Bellamy did.
Who will side with Luffy during this arc?
Based on what I have said on the 1st part, it should stand to reason that the Strawhats' side in this arc will most likely be an alliance involving the Big Mom Pirates, Hancock's group, and the Marines lead by Koby.
But while this kind of alliance is possible, the only question is whether or not they will put aside their differences & work together! After all:
- The Big Mom Pirates may hold a grudge against the Strawhats for what happened to their mother even though it was mostly Kid & Law's doing.
-Although Hancock would do almost anything for Luffy, there's also a chance her bias thoughts on Koby & Vegapunk for what they did to her homeland may cloud her judgment, whether or not she would at least give them a chance to earn her trust like Luffy did.
- Due to the events in Egghead, some Marines may not want to risk whatever is left of their resources to save Garp, even if there willing to get help from another Emperor like Luffy to do so.
However, since Luffy has the power to make those around him into his allies, I can see a moment similar to what he did in Udon where he inspires them to choose whether or not they'll join forces.
Buggy & Cross Guild's involvement
Back when we last saw Buggy, we not only watched him bravely stand up to his "commanders", and but also announced to everyone that Cross Guild will participate in the search for the One Piece.
And with the help of the recent chapter where we saw Crocodile's reaction to Vegapunk's message, including the part about the Ancient Weapons, this could be by far the only thing that could inspire all members to help each other get what they want, regardless of the risk.
Unfortunately, since the Blackbeard Pirates were able to get their hands on Garp, who is on their wanted list, I can see this leading to an event where 2 Emperor class crew will organize a public execution that will force Luffy & Koby's group to go to war with similar to how the Marineford war was set up. Plus, I wouldn't be surprised if Crocodile & Mihawk use this as a way to punish Buggy for trying to get his way.
However, I also believe that the Genius Jester will find a way to get the last laugh. Because let's not forget that Buggy was in fact the very 1st person to learn about the unusual things involving Teach, which he would eventually tell Shanks about. So in the likely event Shanks won't be around long enough to tell Luffy, then it would only make sense for Buggy to help him on his fellow Emperor's behalf, even if it was never intentional. And since the main topic is on Teach himself, I will now begin the next part of the post which involves more about him.
More information on Blackbeard himself
In one of the recent chapters, when Saturn was talking to Devon & Auger, Blackbeard's "special linage" was mentioned, which made some fans & myself very curious on.
Now I don't know what it really means, but I do know that sooner or later, the full revelation of it will have an important role in the final saga to moment we get more of it. It may even have to do with why he wanted to make Beehive Island a country that is affiliated with the government.
As for how the SH themselves may know about it, my best guess is that they'll learn it from either Marco (who was formally in the same crew as Teach), Shanks (who was scared by him), and of course Buggy (which I have mentioned earlier).
Aokiji's inner conflict
Ever since the day when Aokiji was revealed to be the 10th Titanic Captain of the Blackbeard Pirates, I strongly believe that it is more inevitable for Luffy to recruit his final Senior Officer now more than ever! And since he was partly one of the people who captured Pudding, it would make sense for Sanji to be his opponent when the time comes!
However, there are some people who think that Aokiji won't stay loyal to Teach forever, even though we will need more time to see how his character arc plays out.
Law's comeback
Just like what I said with Kid on my Elbaf list, I also believe that Law's time in the story isn't over yet. And some obvious reasons for that are that he still needs to know more about the D initial, as well as wanting to save his crew from the Blackbeard Pirates, which will somehow lead him to reunite with the Strawhats, and also join their alliance in that arc.
Who knows, on the off chance Teach were to meet his end in that arc, while he is still alive, perhaps Law might end up inheriting his Emperor title just as Bepo hoped for in one of the recent recap episodes.
Garp's future fate
Now I can't guarantee whether or not Garp will be saved. But I do believe that what he told Koby & the others about how the young generation's safety is a major priority will have an even bigger role in that arc.
But at the same time, I would also like this to be a decent chance for either Luffy or Garp to have a moment of realization and accept that they may not have been in the right as they once thought, as well as question if the path they chose was a good one.

TL;DR: Hunt big fun, trials good but should be more relevant to actual game, newbie period too short, too much special ammo, solo revive really frustrating to new player.
So, I picked up Hunt at the suggestion of a friend in a recent sale and have been having a lot of fun. I'm about 45 hours in, Rank 78, K/D of 1.01 and mid-low 3 star MMR. I thought I'd share my thoughts as a new player on what I've enjoyed and what's been more challenging. I'll keep this as short as I can but it'll probably run long.
First, the core game loop is a lot of fun, obviously. Bounty hunts are a blast and each one plays out differently. The stakes with hunter permadeath add a lot of tension , and bringing in an expensive/nice gun really feels like a risk. I'm consistently hovering around breaking even in Hunt dollars, with occasional big surges when I get a good win. It feels really good.
The tutorial taught the basics but the real knowledge (aside from playing) has come from the trials. I think the trials have some real potential but are hampered by some particularly tough examples that don't really teach much. On one hand, Sniper challenges and some of the banishment challenges were great for learning guns, and how enemy AI works, and a few of the obstacle courses really helped teach some map knowledge. However, headshotting hives with dualies is likely not a skill I will be employing regularly, and really felt like getting a 3 star was dependent on the RNG granting you that headshot. Also, FUCK Flesh of My Flesh, that was awful.
I do think there was some missed opportunity with the trials to teach more relevant game knowledge. I would have liked some trials that required you to secure a boss lair with traps to teach defensive play, fight bosses with specific loadouts, and use sound to pinpoint and wallbang enemies.
Now, as for the actual matches as a new player, I have a few thoughts. First, the new player grace period is awesome, but it's too short. By level 11 I hadn't even fought every boss type yet and was not remotely prepared to be dropped into the main pool of players. IMHO, new players should stay matchmade to each other until at least rank 30, or even 50. This game has a lot to learn and the difference between a fresh 3 star player and a 3 star prestige 50 veteran who has inside out knowledge of the map is huge.
A side note, where the hell is Rotjaw? I have yet to see this boss. I found one clue in one match but died before I got there. I feel like this is wasted content being so rare. If I'm missing something obvious on finding it, I wish the game would explain it better.
Another thing that frustrated me until recently was how much special ammo there is. It felt like every opponent I fought had bullets that would light me on fire, poison me, or bleed me, while I was stuck with boring "normal" bullets until I played enough to unlock them myself or got lucky and found them. Having used them now myself, I feel like there is often very little downside aside from a bit of extra cost for most guns. I did see in the recent dev update that they'll be looking at this, but I wanted to bring it up as it was very frustrating for my first 40 levels or so.
Finally, I have a feeling that this is contentious, and that I haven't played solo bounty hunts so I only have one side of the story. I get that for solo players it makes that game mode a lot more fun. But as a new player, solo revive was INCREDIBLY frustrating to deal with. I'm already out of the loop in terms of so many mechanics, but when a dude I just killed gets right back up and kills me a few seconds later, I felt like I was going crazy. The game does NOT explain that this is a possibility, and is tucked away into a few perk descriptions. And once I learned that that was a possibility, I still had to learn that there's yet another perk where they can come back with full HP too. I don't want to dive into balance debates because I'm sure that's tackled elsewhere. But as a new player, please at least CLEARLY explain that this is a core game mechanic in the tutorial.
Overall, this is a really fun game, and I think with the upcoming relaunch, you're going to have a surge of newbies coming in, and if you do a few things to soften the landing, a lot more of them might stick around.

Unfortunately, since the Blackbeard Pirates were able to get their hands on Garp, who is on their wanted list, I can see this leading to an event where 2 Emperor class crew will organize a public execution that will force Luffy & Koby's group to go to war with similar to how the Marineford war was set up. Plus, I wouldn't be surprised if Crocodile & Mihawk use this as a way to punish Buggy for trying to get his way.
However, I also believe that the Genius Jester will find a way to get the last laugh. Because let's not forget that Buggy was in fact the very 1st person to learn about the unusual things involving Teach, which he would eventually tell Shanks about. So in the likely event Shanks won't be around long enough to tell Luffy, then it would only make sense for Buggy to help him on his fellow Emperor's behalf, even if it was never intentional. And since the main topic is on Teach himself, I will now begin the next part of the post which involves more about him.
More information on Blackbeard himself
In one of the recent chapters, when Saturn was talking to Devon & Auger, Blackbeard's "special linage" was mentioned, which made some fans & myself very curious on.
Now I don't know what it really means, but I do know that sooner or later, the full revelation of it will have an important role in the final saga to moment we get more of it. It may even have to do with why he wanted to make Beehive Island a country that is affiliated with the government.
As for how the SH themselves may know about it, my best guess is that they'll learn it from either Marco (who was formally in the same crew as Teach), Shanks (who was scared by him), and of course Buggy (which I have mentioned earlier).
Aokiji's inner conflict
Ever since the day when Aokiji was revealed to be the 10th Titanic Captain of the Blackbeard Pirates, I strongly believe that it is more inevitable for Luffy to recruit his final Senior Officer now more than ever! And since he was partly one of the people who captured Pudding, it would make sense for Sanji to be his opponent when the time comes!
However, there are some people who think that Aokiji won't stay loyal to Teach forever, even though we will need more time to see how his character arc plays out.
Law's comeback
Just like what I said with Kid on my Elbaf list, I also believe that Law's time in the story isn't over yet. And some obvious reasons for that are that he still needs to know more about the D initial, as well as wanting to save his crew from the Blackbeard Pirates, which will somehow lead him to reunite with the Strawhats, and also join their alliance in that arc.
Who knows, on the off chance Teach were to meet his end in that arc, while he is still alive, perhaps Law might end up inheriting his Emperor title just as Bepo hoped for in one of the recent recap episodes.
Garp's future fate
Now I can't guarantee whether or not Garp will be saved. But I do believe that what he told Koby & the others about how the young generation's safety is a major priority will have an even bigger role in that arc.
But at the same time, I would also like this to be a decent chance for either Luffy or Garp to have a moment of realization and accept that they may not have been in the right as they once thought, as well as question if the path they chose was a good one.

A started a new writing project which is based around the concept that the whole MC group has a 2nd form (this "undeniably unique" idea is come from, that some stores (mostly shounen animes) have a protagonist with a stronger 2nd form, so a decided to make a story where ALL the main team has one). Because im at the early stages at the project i dont come up with names right now, because dont want rush it. A world builing is a high fantasy where 13 Overlord rules over specific parts of the world. Not every overlord are enemies with each other, but most of them want to defeat some or all the other overlords. Now, humanity not really have an overlord, so they are in disadvantage. So the Most famus adventurer guild recruited 5 regular teenager adventurer and offert them a suprisingly good reward for a simple quest: hunt down a beast inside the cave. The 5 adventurer seems to be pretty ordinary, there is a fighter (M) an assassin (M) a brawler (M), a light magic sorcereres(F), and an ice mage(F). None of them knew each other before, so they introduce themself as regular adventurers. But when they go to the quest, it turn out that the best they needed to kill was not actually as weak as they thought, and all 5 of them greatly injured. And after that all 5 of them transform into their secret form.
-The Warrior: Transform into a Fire Demon
-The Assassin: Tranform into a Duskborn (a type of undead in the world)
-The Brawler: Tranform into a Magical Beast (not to a furry!!!!)
-The Ligh Scorereres: Transform into an Arulian (a type of celestial race)
-The Ice Mage: Transform into a Frost Lich
After that a big confusion apeared, because none of them recognise each other, they thought the others are enemies too. After the misunderstanding is setelled, a higher memeber of the guils is arrived, who whatched to whole situation. And told them that, the Guild planned to make an overlord from all 5 of them.
What do you think? I love to hear your ideas or features that you think will fit to this setting.

I've taken my first dose today and I have made the mistake of hyperfocusing on reading about other people's experiences (I have ADHD). This has led to what feels like everyone experiencing nothing but extreme symptoms. I'm especially worried about the possibility of vomiting as I have a bit of a phobia around being sick. (It's not full on emetaphobia, but I'd choose pretty much any other unpleasant thing over puking, and the thought causes more anxiety than it should.)
Can people please spam this thread with positive / neutral / "it was only a bit uncomfortable" type of experiences so I can come back to this instead of the horror stories I keep coming across?

Hi, I’m helping my mom figure out the best way to install a cooling/heating/circulation system for her condo in Southern California. The condo has three stories, each about 500 square feet. The downstairs is pretty ok year round, but the top floor has two bedrooms and a bathroom that get really hot and stuffy on warm days.
She lives about a mile from the beach, so it’s cooler here than a lot of Los Angeles, but there is also a hill between her and the water and one side of the building faces west so it gets a lot of heat on summer afternoons. It’s also pretty humid, for California.
The HOA does allow her to install an AC/system, but obviously we want something quiet and unobtrusive.
More details on the building
Basement Garage, small bathroom, spare room Spare room has a ceiling fan, this floor is fine
First floor Living room, dining room, kitchen, 1/2 bath This floor gets great circulation because it’s bookended by a patio and a balcony, both with sliding glass doors, and the dining room has a ceiling fan. The sliding glass doors for the balcony face west, and have darkening/heat resistant drapes she uses in the sumer
Second floor: Two bedrooms, hallway, storage, jack-and-jill bathroom If this floor was an open layout, we wouldn’t need two air handlers, but the rooms are separated by the bathrom, some cabinets, and a hallyway, so I don’t think one would do it.
The question(s):
My thinking is that she should get a 12,000 BTU compressor (Is that the right word? The outside bit.) and two air handlers, one for each bedroom. That way each person can adjust their room accordingly. What do you kind experts think about this?
If that is correct, should I be looking for a multi-zone set up, a multi-split set up, or what—I guess sites just start gaming SEO and it is hard to tell what the terms mean. Is a split the same as an air handler?
Is it better to buy a compressor and two splits, all separately (but same manufacturer), or to buy a compressor that comes with a split, and then buy the second split a la carte? And is it better to buy the system and then just hire someone to install it, or have someone come and get the hardware and labor through them?
I want to pay someone fairly and get good work but also be as thrifty as possible. She had a flood during Covid when I was on the other side of the country and some unscrupulous contractors really screwed her over—I’ve spent the past couple years fixing peeling paint, holes in walls, redoing flooring, etc. So we are nervous! I’ve read that you can buy used equipment on Craig’s List, etc., and I am a die-hard repair-reuse-recycle type, but it does make me a little nervous to do that.
