I know the infamous septum is a big topic around here! Most of my seeking pictures have showcased the septum ring, even though I flip it inside for all dates, work, etc. I don’t think I realized it was such a turn off to so many that I didn’t realize it would matter.
I’m starting a new job search soon and decided to tone my red hair down and go a more natural color. Honestly I’ve been blonde most of my life so the fun colors were always temporary fun. When I first joined seeking I had blue and purple hair 😂 and slowly transitioned back to more subtle colors. My fun phase is coming to an end!
So I decided to showcase my new hair on my profile and flipped my septum inside since I don’t show it on dates anyways (unless they mention liking it). The amount of messages I have gotten since showcasing my more subtle look has been probably double.
I’m a big proponent of expressing yourself in ways that make you happy so this is not to tell you to tone down your own look, just an observation that the advice often given here regarding more alternative looks seems to be proving accurate in my experience.

I bleached my hair yesterday and it is like half orangey blonde half light pink now (from old red dye that i tried taking out with color remover) and i get my license picture taken thursday, could i bleach it then? or at least next monday before my birthday. my hair is naturally pretty greasy but i’m not sure if that helps 😣

hi! so I'm planning on heading up to NYC to get my gemology degree next year! I have a brief background in geology and metalsmithing (two things I studied at university before dropping out due to COVID, kinda hard to do those over zoom), worked several gem shows, and have worked at two rock/mineral/jewelry shops where I teach classes and run the social media.
In the information for the scholarship it mentions how you can have a portfolio or a second letter of recommendation and I would like advice on what would be better in my case. Getting letters of recommendations wouldn't be hard as I've made close connections throughout my 4 years in the industry. However, I do have plenty of pictures (and physical pieces) of the stones I've cut/jewelry I've made, documents from college projects about various gemstones and minerals, videos from my social media educating people about minerals/gems, lesson plans, and more. What is the portfolio supposed to be like? Is it more of an art portfolio or a sort of pseudo-resume?
Would a portfolio or a second letter of recommendation be better? I really am gunning for that scholarship as I'm already paying back debt from university. I've been worrying over this a lot admittedly!

I’m stuck between the Caudabe Sheath in Garnet Red, Andar Aspen in Blanc, or Peak Design Everyday in Sun for my 15PM (white).
My concerns: *Sheath: The red won’t be as deep red as pictured. Some pics look like it almost has a brown cast. *Aspen Blanc: White won’t hold up and/or MagSafe ring will start to show (I know it’s vegan leather) *PD: Probably won’t use any of the additional SlimLink accessories. Also curious if the V2 finger loop affects MagSafe accessories. I saw a video on their V1 that mentioned the finger loop prevented a secure connection. I just have a popsocket car vent mount and I don’t want my phone tumbling off.
I can’t seem to find many real world pics or videos of any of them (especially the updated versions of the Aspen and PD with the action button covers). Does anyone have any “real” pics of what the colors look like? How have they been functionally and are they holding up? Anything else I’m not considering?

Hey Reddit! After a months long process of severe (and I mean SEVERE!) allergic reactions, I was finally able to get patch testing done and I'm allergic to Fragrance. I've never been a big cosmetics person so I'm feeling overwhelmed. Even with the help of the ACDS CAMP app, there are way too many choices for everything. I'm hoping you all could chime in with your favorites to help me narrow the field!
HAIR: I used Dove shampoo and conditioner, I only wash my hair about once or twice a week and it's not very oily in-between. It's straight, not colored. Looking for a fragrance free alternative! Interested to hear what people think of bars- I like the idea of not having so much plastic.
SKIN: I used to use Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser- I know they make a fragrance free one, but because this was what I think started my reaction, I'd just rather find a new brand. Thoughts?
MOISTURIZESPF: I'm leaning towards Cerave Hydrating Mineral Sunscreen but also going to check out La Roche Posay Anthelios Mineral Tinted Sunscreen. I was considering the Elta MD tinted spf moisturizer but I've seen a lot of posts about the formula changing and a bad smell etc, but if you're a fan of it, let me know!
