So I take 20 mg adderall XR in the morning and a 10 mg ‘booster’ in the afternoon. The bottle with the booster is normally labeled “Amphetamine salts.” Recently I got my prescription refilled and the bottle says “dextroamphetanine.” The pill looks different but I assumed it’s the same thing. Now when I take the new booster at noon my heart literally feels like it’s going to pump out of my chest. I had one pill left of the old “amphetamine salts” prescription and took it, and i was fine. Why am I reacting to the new prescription differently even though it’s supposedly the same thing? Should I stop taking it?

2024.05.21 21:20 BarbarianHut Season-spanning Catch Cups suck. Damn near every top meta OGL mon was available. Suggested fix - limit it to a small window or make it a remix if they must run this thing?
Having a season-spanning catch cup like the one right now absolutely sucks. Bastiodon, Steelix, Gligar (both versions), Annihilape, Skeledirge, Mantine, Lickitung, Mandibuzz, Carbink, Quagsire, Clodsire, Poliwrath, Charjabug, Skarmory. That's nearly the whole damn OGL meta except Registeel, Feraligatr, Lanturn, and Cress.
I was hoping to try something fun and different, but no. Once again, a stale ass meta with the same shit in a different package. I like the concept of a catch cup but this is a terrible implementation. And no other options, except the even worse Little Catch Cup.
But so as not just to rant/bitch, maybe this would be more interesting if they limited the catch period to a certain one or 2 week timeframe, that way the whole damned meta wouldn't be in there. Or, make it like a remix, where the top 30 ranked pokemon on PVPoke are not eligible, or something. Otherwise this is a wasted week for anyone except the super try-hards building their second whiscash or whatever. Absolutely maddening.
About me too before I get dogpiled - Am a past Veteran, usually in ML, perennially in the 2200-2600 range. I'm not the best, but I can play and I play often every season (a dedicated casual you might call me?). My CC teams are things that I happen to catch that are good and I might consider building anyway if I don't have a duplicate.

2024.05.21 20:53 dormvaped Nearly Full Pill in Stool
Sorry in advance, I have spent the last hour googling to no avail.
Been taking vyvanse for a few years and recently switched to brand name Concerta ER, which I understand gets the "ER" from the physical preparation of the pill, whereas Vyvanse sort of uses your body's machinery to do the extending of the release. I actually like it quite a bit; it seems to be a much steadier release than Vyvanse was for me and I don't feel like a husk when it wears off at the end of the day.
I'd been on 60mg vyvanse for a while, then last month started 27mg concerta ER. Yesterday I picked up my new script for 36mg (have to do this song and dance before insurance will let me do Adderall xr am/IR PM) and took it for the first time this morning around 8am. I pooped about an hour ago and there in the bowl was the last two thirds of that 36mg pill!
Other than the new dose, nothing in my morning routine changed. Made an espresso around 945a and chased it down with my usual protein shake. What gives? I've taken an encyclopedia's worth of pills both prescribed and illicit, mine and friends, of all different classes, sizes, and shapes- and can confidently say this is the first time I have ever pooped out anything close to a full pill. Though, this is my first experience with concerta...
Tl;Dr: shit out an almost full 37mg concerta ER something like 5 hours after taking it. Haven't ever shit a pill out before, and still felt/feel the effects of the pill after the dookie. Wat do

2024.05.21 20:27 TigerBRL Budget PC for learning AI
I am looking to buy a computer to learn AI, I have 0 knowledge on AI, ML and very minor knowledge of programming and coding. I am aware there are certain AI models which you can run locally on your PC, I could help me get started on learning AI. My budget is $550 ± $30. The budget is pretty low, It's fine if the build doesn't do much. even if I can learn something AI related using the PC it's good for me. I am thinking of getting it built by a local builder (I am from India). other than AI, normal school work, browsing, photoshop, light gaming there won't be any other usage of the PC. Most would probably use PCpartpicker, if it's possible for you, you could check the prices of parts on
https://pcpricetracker.in. prices in your region and India may differ.
Thanks in advance.

2024.05.21 20:10 nihilistlemon Tactics is the best
A while ago I made this post that I no longer believe in
( Tactics is the worst ) .
So what gives ? Basically tactics is the best at DOT builds , which is the strongest build in the game . The fact that it can stack DOT and buff them with mutations like tranquility , support or networking will melt any enemies and
Spoiler Boss .
In the example of Spoiler Boss , there is high amount of off color scroll and what would be consider a mid or low main scroll for 5bc . That is because you could cheese the intended low health pool of tactics by taking and all dual scrolls off color . Doing so increases your survivability , making the run comfy and safe !
Also wanna touch on hit and run . Most players overestimate how fast enemies can get close , resulting in people taking mutations like point blank in bioms . Not every enemies in the game is a rampager , and even if enemies teleport to you , they still have a long windup before attacking . Try applying dot , hit the enemy twice , running away while using tranquility oand networking for non mobile users , and move to the next while the enemy dies off screen .
So the in short , if you stop taking pointblank in biomes , stop engaging enemies and finish your run with the in game timer in less than 30 minutes , tactics is the best to do so .

2024.05.21 18:50 DogeLuck Fully in depth report of 5 days without power in Texas Heat
At the time of this post 145 thousand people are still without power going on almost 6 days without power. Tornado wiped out our power grid in select areas throughout Texas (I believe the number was about 800 thousand people got hit without power). Here's some things I learned and a situation report of my experience living with a very large family of mixed ages.
Context: We had been getting hit with some pretty gnarly weather however business as usual in Texas. I didn't think much of it usually when our grids down they're pretty quick to respond minus the snow storm years back. So when I heard there was a storm brewing I didn't even flinch I always keep some very very basics, battery's, lights, water, 2 weeks minimum of non perishable foods, self defense protection, and ammo, etc. But I hardly consider myself a prepper anymore, but I know some people don't even have that.
I use to be really on top of my preps overtime, however my stockpile had dwindled, as did my thirst for knowledge and hands on experience/training. I just honestly wasn't on top of my game anymore, and quit taking this as serious years ago. This tornado really brought me back to reality, so this post is mostly for entry level preppers looking at some practical advice from a 5 day experience, I fully regret the fact I quit taking this serious years ago.
First Day: Around 6pm, emergency alert on phone stating tornado in your area, seek shelter immediately. Thought ok let's shelter in the master bedroom closet. Wind rocked the house pretty good, could hear limbs from tree's falling, within about 10 minutes the power shuts off, and glancing outside within a hour the streets flooded. The storm had died down, as did the flooding, and it was time to asses the damage in the immediate area. Got in the car, power had blown out pretty much every store/house within a several mile zone. Found one square zone with a few places that had power, got some fast food but waited about 30 minutes because everyone went there.
What I wish I had on day one/ and general notes:
Rain boots: The streets had not only flooded but was blocked by limbs in the roadway. Luckily our flooding wasn't too severe but had it been I wish I did have rainboots so normal shoes didn't get soaked, or some type of beach sandals, etc.
Chainsaw, electric saw, axes, regular saw: Would of come in handy if the limbs in our area blocking the road were any bigger.
Higher up vehicles: Some vehicles couldn't make it through the flood due to being so low to the ground, so take into account your vehicles.
More variety of quality flashlights: Electric Lanterns came in clutch, but wish I had more handhelds, head mounted, and higher end lanterns.
Battery Inventory checks: Wish I had not only more batteries cause you really do burn through these quick, but wish I had checked all my lights battery condition, and stored new batteries in waterproof containers.
Alternative sources to battery's: Not a huge fan of candles due to fire risk, but some not scented beeswax or soy based candles would of came in handy to help ration battery supply. Maybe glass lanterns as well for safety and ease of transport. Glowsticks would of been great option too.
Car chargers: Believe it or not some of us didn't have car chargers for our cell phones cause we mostly charge our phones at home, although we were able to share, wish we had this on day one for all our phones.
Fully charged portable battery bank, or portable phone chargers: If we had this we wouldn't of been out in our cars late at night charging stuff putting us at more risk for being possible victims to crime.
Quality of cell phone, and cellphone provider: Have a POS phone but keep putting off upgrading it? Don't. Luckily mine was good but some of our cellphone providers carriers had better signal then others, some of are phones were in bad shape and it was noted we wish we didn't put off upgrading it sooner. You can't predict how well your provider will do but maybe do your research, unsure how this works but now I can do my research and learn from it. I had 0 issues with boost mobile but other family members weren't so lucky.
Cash: This is obvious but due to us moving towards a cashless society its pretty uncommon, but this would of came in handy due to how many places didn't have power. You can do so much with cash.
Battery powered or rechargeable camping fans: I did have one of these, it even had a light but wish I had more.
Larger ice chest: Now we had a few, but they were smaller. We lost everything in our fridge/freezer besides canned drinks, I mean everything. We had just bought grocery's too, lesson learned.
OTC sleeping medication: We had melatonin, and Tylenol pm, but it was so quiet you could hear a mouse sneeze a block over, until the generators turned on. First two are OK options but given its only going to be cool at night, and we knew tomorrow would be hot, we took kratom to sleep. Check your area some states it's illegal, not recommending it but it's what we used. I wish I had stockpiled more kratom, I took it when I got the flu on top of C word to relieve body aches and found out it really helped me sleep and ease pain/stress. Usually cycle this 3 days on max, one day off to prevent habit forming.
(This is really for day two + but ill post this here cause I noticed it on day one)
Backup supply of my personal vices or quitting personal vices: I know this may sound stupid but I am fully addicted to caffeine, and nicotine. I picked my poison and know what I signed up for. Caffeine really? yeah really not sure if you know this but for some people caffeine withdrawal can make you really suffer, and I mean really suffer check out
decaf. I was in the process of lowering my caff intake to 1 cup of tea a day, and quit soda. Was one month off soda before the storm came in, but had to relapse due to us not carrying high caff tea on supply.
But yeah stock up on your vices so you aren't going through withdrawals during an emergency. Was on 3mg per ml of nicotine and had to dish out 30$ for a disposable vape thats 50mg per ml at a gas station on day two to prevent withdrawals. So I was on way higher dose of nic then usual due to only being able to purchase what I could find, for reference 50mg per ml if you use that in 10 days thats about a pack of ciggs worth of nic per day. So yeah either quit your vice or stock up, I don't advocate hard drugs at all so this isn't for that but this is mainly aimed at coffee/caff use, etc. Instant coffee packs may be great for some people.
Battery powered radio: Can't stress enough how mentally taxing silence can be long term. We had one, but the battery port crapped out. Lesson learned, test your preps.
Backup food for your pet friends: Luckily I was pretty good on pet food but imagine if I wasn't, and this was more severe.
Water situation: Had a decent amount of drinking water, we had running water. If we didn't I would say I wish I had filled up the giant jugs I bought for flushing the toilet/doing dishes or running through a berkey water filter if we ran out of drinking water. I had bought 5 gallon blue jugs specifically for this years back. However I cleaned them out, and didn't refill, Lesson learned.
2nd Day: We were able to cook some stuff on a gas stove, luckily. People at gas stations were stocking up on ice, filling their gas cans up for their generators, and shelves were getting empty at stores with power only on some things though wasn't too bad cause the power outage was scattered some had power, others didn't. Mostly a waiting game at this point, most of the preps I wish I had on this day were the same as day one, but ill toss in some stuff I wish I had. Obtained a portable battery powered radio, the morale boost was real for everyone, even the dogs.
What I wish I had on day two/ and general notes:
BBQ style lighters to light gas stove: We had two but recently tossed em out due to being empty. Realized I had no bics, and only had one box of matches, feels bad man.
Entertainment: Board games like checkers, board games for kids, chess, basic poker set, etc. These would of been awesome and a great way to keep the kids entertained and the adults, the boredom was real. We hit local goodwill's that had power to look for radios, and cheap prep supplies and games, but no luck.
Third day: By then reality set in for most people, neighbors who could afford to do so booked hotels or bugged out to places with power. The generators really started up by day three, everyone was buying gas for them and you could hear them in almost every direction. Pretty sure some people had it from the start but noticed them more by day three. A lot of people were sitting outside the front of their homes trying to escape the heat. Ice from most places were completely sold out, so you had to really shop around to find any.
Finding news about the power outage day 1-3 was kind of hit and miss, KHOU news updates were pretty short and it took us some time to know how severe the storms damage actually was, cause we were focused on trying to get stuff done around the house and conserving battery. I believe at one point CenterPoint's actual website went down. Mostly resulted to local news channels, and nextdoor app. We couldn't watch live news and had to rely on when KHOU posted youtube videos.
Private security company's hired guards and they started patrolling certain stores that could afford the security, obviously to deter looters. Traffic everywhere was insane in every which direction during peak hours more then usual, PD presence was pretty high, more then usual.
What I wish I had on day three/ and general notes:
Generator: Pretty obvious why, had no experience with them but wish I did, and wish I bought one pre-blackout when I was more into prepping and took time to learn about them and how to use and maintain them properly.
Ham radio: Or something to pick up on local freqs to monitor radio comms for information regarding the storm and local activity if any. I think this may of been better then waiting on local news to post videos.
Day Four: Buddy had power so he dropped off his generator and gave me quick instructions on how to run it, how far away to place them, etc. By day four the temps really ramped up, and this thing definitely kept us cool. When you think of bartering you think of some post apocalypse stuff, but no. In reality you can barter during any emergency, buddy dropped it off free of charge but was able to offer some booze as a thank you. So even if you don't drink stock up on booze/ciggs to barter, never know what you might trade it for. Times are tough in this economy and I honestly didn't have much money to spare, family had to pool our funds together to get last minute preps to survive this, cause we didn't know how long this would really last. In certain areas they said it could be weeks. However the alcohol was a small thank you that I could afford and he was happy so all worked out.
Gas cans were sold out, and extension cord supply's were looking extremely low at local hardware store. From what I overheard they also completely sold out of generators. Honestly wish I knew more about electrical stuff but my buddy gave me a small crash course in wiring everything. You can't just plug it in and pray for the best. Bought the best gauge extensions cords I could afford for our needs, and the distance and hooked it up.
We ran one bedroom AC unit, fans for the dogs, wired a light, and a charging station. Also don't cheap out on gas cans it's not worth blowing your face off or starting a fire, or having it leak. If you get a generator do your research on how to properly run it, and safely fill it. Crime in this area can be fairly high we've had a few drive by shootings and other not so good police involved things. Read this book along time ago about post collapse security, so I blacked out our windows so when we turned lights on no one knew we had power. You may hear the generator, but from the street we look like we don't have anything going for us. My biggest fear was looters from people who were less fortunate or really down bad. We near a common site for homeless people as well so they foot traffic the area.
Generators are very loud, between that and listening to the radio 12 hours a day, I was beginning to audio hallucinate lyrics that weren't there with the radio off, and suffered from heat exhaustion. That and the fact we had homeless in our area and tweekers who might loot I was running off adrenaline a bit. 24 hours almost that night without sleep, and didn't even feel tired. Slept near my firearm until my family woke up at daylight and when daylight hit I knew we were in the clear and I passed out.
What I wish I had on day fou and general notes:
Knowledge of generators. Knowledge about electricity/wiring them safely. Security: Some type of physical alarm bell to put on the door like metal door knob alarm bells so it jingles if anyone enters to alert the dogs, had to keep the door slightly cracked so the wires hooked up to the generator would fit. So we couldn't lock the door, which is probably where my anxiety of tweekers coming in came from.
Day Five: Same shit different day, power came on that evening.
Conclusion: Just cause it doesn't look like societal collapse or WW3 prep your shit for emergency's native to your area or go beyond, idc but prep. They ain't coming to help for awhile, or at all if it's very severe...so it's up to you and your community to pull through. This was a wake up call, thanks for coming to my prep talk.

2024.05.21 18:42 rezo_por_vos [HELP] sports medicine - performance and testosterone
Hello, I have a question that maybe someone knows about or has experienced before.
I am training to compete (I do kickboxing, I am 25, 1.80 meters tall, and weigh 86 kg). My physical performance after the COVID vaccine (Sputnik, 2 doses) has been terrible. I lost my morning erections, have "chronic" fatigue, my libido is very low, and nothing seems to help. I was like this for a long time, and recently I decided to solve this problem.
I have been seeing a sports doctor, who prescribed creatine before my workouts and also "Second Shift," which is a supplement from Star Nutrition. I also went to a urologist and was diagnosed with varicocele. According to the urologist, it should not affect my sexual performance or testosterone production.
The sports doctor, who is also monitoring me, requested some blood tests. The result is as follows (according to him, my total testosterone is low):

2024.05.21 17:16 SeriousGrab6233 Low dose of Adderall is doing nothing?Dr is a Dunce?
I have been on 2 doses of Adderall IR.I felt it actually worked and I felt productive for maybe a week? After that I felt absolutely nothing and was in the process of finding a psychiatrist. So I found him and then he said he would help me out. After my IR medication ran out I told him I feel absolutely nothing. He told me we can try 10mg XR for a month and wouldnt up my dose.He also recommend medications holidays and has said so at every appointment ive been.He also told me if this medication isnt working I most likely don't have adhd and should look into something's up else?ive now been on the XR for about 5 days and still nothing.
Is this guy a dunce? Should I ask to see him earlier than our 1 month because its not doing anything?

2024.05.21 15:20 Flyboy6150 Adderall Frustration
I take 20mg of Adderall in the morning for ADHD. It kicks in after 20-30 minutes and I feel motivated to work, to exercise, I’m on top of the world . . . For about 15 minutes, then it’s gone.
I don’t feel high at all, I’ve actually never been high in my life. But, the motivation I feel is what I need all day, not just for 15 minutes.
Anybody else experience this? Alternatives to retaining the great mood all day???

2024.05.21 14:53 Nathansp1984 Doctor keeps trying to change meds
39 white male, 199lbs, 6ft tall, non smoker, no known health conditions. I've been on adderall r30mg for a couple years now and last year instead of upping my xr dosage my doctor gave me a adderall 5mg ir booster to take in the afternoon. Everything has been working fine and then my doctor moved to a different facility. Now l've been assigned an APN who is very nice but every time I see her she says the doctor that's in charge of this office doesn't like adderall and especially doesn't like "parachute doses", he keeps pushing azstarys on me which I do not want after reading about the potential side effects of that med. I saw her again Monday last week and again with the azstarys, I said I don't want it, then she asked if l'd be ok with trying vyvanse. I gave in and said fine I'll try it. She's putting me on 30mg vyvanse, after reading up on it this seems low compared to my adderall dosage. Has anybody gone through this? I don't understand why they're so determined to switch me from a med that's working great with little to no negative side effects to a different med that l've never taken and don't know if it will work. Sorry for the long post, it's very frustrating

2024.05.21 14:34 Thick-Paramedic581 I have had it with this country
[Disclaimer] This post is not intended towards any group, ethnicity or any religious social structure. This post should be considered a vent, a point where all we can relate and discover a way forward.
I am 26M. Coming from a medium class family, We all can relate how difficult it is to shape yourself to survive in this country both Financially and Morally.
I will share the sequence of events we all go through in life in here and relate it to current point in life.
[Education]
I did my bachelors in software engineering from a famous Pak uni, which is considred reputable in their research work and boasts itself to be the among the top 300 university Young University Rankings 2023. I spent 4 years, leaving my home, parents and friends, in another city to get what some would call "education". out of
42 subjects only
2 of the subjects taught in my university are related to my job and those topics were not covered in during classes. Either the professor had no idea what these topics were or it was the constraint of syllabus. We will never know.
Next is the FYP, the requirements were to use new technology & frameworks to complete the projects. The disappointing thing is this those technologies were neither taught in any of the course work not indicated or directed by professors. I had to invest approximately 80K on a bootcamp seperately to learn these technologies which would help me complete this project.
Later, the guy who is interviewing had no sense of these technologies and he is just trying to cope with asking question like
- why didn't you this technology (a 1990s technology)?
- do u have any customer? (for God sake, it's an FYP, uni didn't give us a penny to broaden our scope)
- can you share the code, we will see if we can utilise it, afterwards we can discuss internship opportunities?
BTW the guy was ex-telenor employee who was interviewing me.
[Research]
During all this is happening, the project and all of this stuff. i was very optimistic and delusional about the future of Pak, I helped the post doc professor implement patterns recognition algorithms and from that he published 2 research papers, after much confrontation, he atleast put me as a co-author.
[Job]
Now, the degree is in hand, the covid is at it's peak, no ceremony of graduation was celebrated. Regardless, i am hunting for job like crazy, i had only 2 things under my belt, the research paper, the project we did in uni, nothing else more. I kept applying, applying & applying but getting rejected, no interviews or the one where i was offered 4 jobs and the median salary they offered me was 18K PKR. one interviewer said "it's sad you rejected the offer, other candidates are willing to work @ this rate", i was shocked
The awakening is happening for me at this point. At that point AI was booming so i took a software engineering course again invested 40K, purchased a bootcamp course and it was difficult for me as AI / ML requires good math knowledge. Forgive me for my assumption but majority of pakistani including me at the very top sucked at maths (linear algebra, calculus). The problem is not again have to do with us, we were never actually taught to think objectively and applications of mathematics.
That was the point i realised, i am in a deep hole. Medium class family with 3 other siblings, single earner Father now had to support 3 other sibling with education.
Now what i should do? I contacted different HR Recruitment Agency but they required me to give 30% income to them, after being hired for the 2 years.
I said, you know what, i am gonna eat that forbidden fruit and ask for a reference. I asked Father to find me a reference. He was against it, i asked friends and relatives, turns out they were in the same boat as i was.
At this point, the girl i was seeing is being married to another man, as i had no ground to stand for rishta (according to her mother).
fast forward, 6 months have passed. I was contacted by a junior in uni of mine and he had some problems in their software and wanted to discuss the possible solution as he was referred by someone else. we got to talking and he raised that his brother is in a company wants IT Engineer, i said refer me to him, he did and he arranged 1 interview and all was good. Initial offer was 55k but i got hired on 75k, since GM was too fond of the person i was referred by.
[Now]
Now, i am working with a US based company in Pak. I am doing good but the pay is shit as compared to the angraiz.
Pak + India team actually really do get along and we are like brothers & sister there. We both are there in a same boat. We work like 5x more than angraiz but we are not compensated according to their standards. We have discussed with HR and the compliance and regulation things gets surfaced e.g something to do with Minimum Pay Requirements, Tax Reduction Strategy and God knows what.
[Frustration]
Me & my father pay annualy tax in Lakhs. The other day there was no light and gas for 12 hours consecutive. The UPS turned off and without electricity a tax paying family is suffering without no reason. Our generator is on gas and petrol. So, i went ahead and tried to purchase petrol so we can atleast get the electricity atleast. There was a hartaal (bycott) on petrol pump (don't know the reason). For the next consecutive 3 days, the 12 hours load shedding cycle remained.
It really made me sad to see my father drained in sweat in his old skin and white hairs and my mother's dupatta was all wet with sweat. I tried to ask for prices in solar, the total cost is around 14 Lakh which we cannot afford.
At that point said f**k it!
I am now trying to apply for foreign countries but it seems like they don't Pak engineer anymore. There are a lot of people trying to get out of here and it's gonna increase as forecasting the country's condition.
The Paki's there did no favor to our condition either, not majority but very small percentage participates in the acts of thievery, rape and other stuff. The media there also do no justice as representing the behaviour of an individual they try to mask it with national behaviour.
[The Sad Part]
The people who have struggled here and went foreign also do not support the people in the situation like i am. They are in another level of delusional superiority complex. I have talked to several of them and they would say general stuff just to end the conversation "Apply kartay rahain, refer hum nai kar saktay" or "there is no referal system here" etc.
The whole purpose of this rant is to show, how i tried and failed to be perfect in this country and what happened. Also, I hope, my experience can help you in any way.

2024.05.21 14:32 BirthdayLive9509 Best Reverb G2 DLSS 4090 Settings?
Hey everyone,
Since I've been going through most of the stuff you guys are describing here, I hope to ressurect this topic. As I have decided to deep dive into this, below is a TL;DR post but still interesting and informative.
I got into DCS 4-5 months ago from iRacing and simracing in general, with my newly upgraded PC, Intel 14700K i7 and 4090 and OldieButGoldie Reverb G2 v1, suddenly a wish for having a clear and smooth picture while flying has never been stronger.
I have been testing various combinations, and some results are quite surprising, shocking even. It is important to mention that tests have been done on Multi Thread version of DCS (OpenXR is forced by default), and that I have used MSI Afterburner to increase GPU and VRAM clock by 50 as well as I have moved all Power related and sliders to the max.
As I am still fairly indecisive of what exact combination to go for, I will share what I have tried (combinations of OpenXR Toolkit and in-game settings...), and hoping to hear your feedback and suggestions... also hoping to make some of you start tweaking your graphics settings again and sharing valuable feedback. :)
Intel i7 14700K, 4090, 32GB RAM (soon to be 64), HP Reverb G2 v1 at 90Hz
Link for the screenshot containing graphics (DCS System) settings used:

So, here it comes:
ATTEMPT NAME: REVOLUTION Type | Setting | Value |
OpenXR Toolkit/System | Resolution Override | 4800x4692 |
OpenXR Toolkit/System | Motion reprojection | Yes |
OpenXR Toolkit/System | Lock Motion Reprojection | 45.0 fps |
OpenXR Toolkit/Performance | Upscaling/Sharpening | NIS |
OpenXR Toolkit/Performance | Size | 75% |
OpenXR Toolkit/Performance | Sharpening | 20% |
OpenXR Toolkit/Performance | Fixed foveated rendering | Preset |
OpenXR Toolkit/Performance | Mode | Quality |
OpenXR Toolkit/Performance | Pattern | Wide |
OpenXR Toolkit/Menu | Show expert settings | YES |
Achieved non-Reprojected FPS: 25-35
Overall experience: Somewhat stuttery/choppy but not too much. Quite visible image distortions, temporal artefacts. Beautiful clarity just for 10-15 seconds, until textures start to collapse, suspecting lack of VRAM... feel free to comment or suggest what might be the cause for this.
Conclusion: Unusable with current hardware, was really nice to see this level of clarity in DCS, at least for a few seconds :)
ATTEMPT NAME: HIGH EXPECTATIONS Type | Setting | Value |
OpenXR Toolkit/System | Resolution Override | 4200x4109 |
OpenXR Toolkit/System | Motion reprojection | Yes |
OpenXR Toolkit/System | Lock Motion Reprojection | 45.0 fps |
OpenXR Toolkit/Performance | Upscaling/Sharpening | NIS |
OpenXR Toolkit/Performance | Size | 75% |
OpenXR Toolkit/Performance | Sharpening | 20% |
OpenXR Toolkit/Performance | Fixed foveated rendering | Preset |
OpenXR Toolkit/Performance | Mode | Quality |
OpenXR Toolkit/Performance | Pattern | Wide |
OpenXR Toolkit/Menu | Show expert settings | YES |
Achieved non-Reprojected FPS: 30-37
Overall experience: Less stuttery/choppy than REVOLUTION attempt. Still visible image distortions, temporal artefacts. Beautiful clarity just for 15-20 seconds, until textures again start to collapse and get blurry, suspecting lack of VRAM... feel free to comment or suggest what might be the cause for this.
Conclusion: Still unusable with current hardware, was really nice to see this level of clarity in DCS, at least for a few seconds :)
ATTEMPT NAME: GROUNDING IN PROGRESS Type | Setting | Value |
DCS Settings/System | Anti Aliasing | DLAA |
DCS Settings/System | Upscaling | DLSS |
DCS Settings/System | DLSS Perf/Quality | Quality (66% resolution) |
DCS Settings/VR | Pixel Density | 2.0 |
OpenXR Toolkit/Performance | Fixed foveated rendering | Preset |
OpenXR Toolkit/Performance | Mode | Quality |
OpenXR Toolkit/Performance | Pattern | Wide |
OpenXR Toolkit/System | Motion reprojection | On |
OpenXR Toolkit/System | Lock Motion Reprojection | 45.0 fps |
OpenXR Toolkit/Menu | Show expert settings | YES |
Achieved non-Reprojected FPS: 35-45
Overall experience: A lot Less stuttery/choppy. Visible image distortions, temporal artefacts. Beautiful clarity, ruined by those distortions.
Conclusion: Still unusable with current hardware, was really nice to see this level of clarity in DCS, but distortions are ruining it.
ATTEMPT NAME: REALITY BITES, BITS AND BYTES Type | Setting | Value |
DCS Settings/System | Anti Aliasing | DLAA |
DCS Settings/System | Upscaling | DLSS |
DCS Settings/System | DLSS Perf/Quality | Quality (66% resolution) |
DCS Settings/VR | Pixel Density | 1.6 |
OpenXR Toolkit/Performance | Fixed foveated rendering | Preset |
OpenXR Toolkit/Performance | Mode | Quality |
OpenXR Toolkit/Performance | Pattern | Wide |
OpenXR Toolkit/System | Motion reprojection | On |
OpenXR Toolkit/System | Lock Motion Reprojection | 45.0 fps |
OpenXR Toolkit/Menu | Show expert settings | YES |
Achieved non-Reprojected FPS: 45 stable
Overall experience: Most of the time very smooth, with a few stutters, when looking on a side. Image is quite crisp, nicely antialiased.
Conclusion: Quite usable, will probably fly like this for a while. Still interested in testing DLSS while manually overriding resolution in OpenXR Toolkit to quite high values again (160%-190% resolution)
GENERAL CONCLUSION: As already quite known widely, NIS upscaling method is quite obsolete, and stresses the GPU more than DLSS. Results were quite impressive with NIS Upscaling, but I strongly believe, if used right, results can be better with DLSS. Will do a few more attempts with DLSS and higher resolution... hope you guys will find this useful, let's discuss more.
There is a performance sweetspot out there... for each and every one of us. :)

2024.05.21 10:53 phanesatlas migraines during adderall wear off?
hi all.
i’ve been on and off adderall forever but after a 7 year hiatus, i’m back on. i take 20 mg xr sometimes with 10 mg ir sprinkled in if i need it. i’m noticing that more often than not, i develop a throbbing headache usually behind one of my eyes once the med starts to wear off. does this happen to anyone else?
also, i find myself having to take a benzo to sleep. any other tips for sleeping while adderall is still wearing off? my ativan is running low and my doc doesn’t want to refill but sometimes i won’t sleep if i don’t have the ativan.

2024.05.21 10:05 curiously_insane Adopted a stray, got some questions
I finally took home a stray, a dehydrated and malnourished beautiful boy. His age is unclear, but vet estimated between 2 and 5 years old weighing in just under 2kg (4 pounds ish), unneutered. Stray cats on Malta typically have access to water and the occasional food bowl.
Here's a picture of him when he was on the streets:
https://i.imgur.com/eLmaUdu.jpeg I'm so worried that I am feeding him too much, or too little. I got him last Friday and fed him small portions, often, to avoid refeeding syndrome which I read about. Now I am feeding him 4 times per day every 4th hour between 10am and 10pm, around 30-40g of wet food (high meat content) per time which equals around 140-160 grams per day.
Another reason for concern is possible thyroid issues which my vet detected from palpating under his neck. Blood tests will be carried out on Thursday. He also seems to have a cold, or cat herpes. Sometimes there's small amounts of discharge from his nose, and he sometimes sneezes it out.
The vet put him on antibiotics (Marbocyl/Marbofloxacin P 5mg), something against his cold/herpes (Herpless), something to alleviate inflammation/reduce pain (Loxicom 0.5 mg/ml) along with vitamins and aminoacids (Vigorpet).
There's so many things that he could potentially suffer from. I've got his lice infestation under control, and I wouldn't be surprised if he's got worms - but his faeces don't show any signs of it, other than the occasional diarrhea. I stopped giving him dry food because there seems to be mouth/tooth or gum ache when eating harder food. I even started adding water to his wet food to make it easier for him, his pain or at least the complaints stopped.
My questions to you all is: - Do you think I am feeding too much or too little? Any advice on his diet?
- From my report, is there anything else you think I should worry about, or act on ASAP?
- Isn't he a good boy?

The herbal blending is potent and effective in providing a significant boost to the immune system. The taste is definitely on the earthy side, but it's a small price to pay for not having to endure a full-blown cold. I particularly like the liquid format of this product. It's easy to take a dropper full whenever I feel the first signs of a cold or flu coming on. The swift action of this tincture has helped me stave off many would-be illnesses. Plus, it's easy to mix into my tea, making it even more palatable. Gaia Herbs has a reputation for producing high-quality products and their customer support is top-notch. However, one downside to this tincture is the serving size. Six dropper fulls four to six times a day can be quite a chore, especially for those who are not fond of the taste. Nonetheless, I would recommend this product, especially if you're looking for a natural and potent way to manage colds and flu. Just be prepared to commit to multiple servings daily. https://preview.redd.it/o19urff56q1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a82a6f3dd86d7d6de35c6393e82a58437037032e As someone who's been using Herbamama Goldenseal Root Extract Supplement for a few weeks now, I can say it's a game-changer. I've been struggling with digestion issues and occasional UTIs, and this little capsule has been my savior. Goldenseal is known for its anti-inflammatory properties, which makes it perfect for soothing away tummy troubles. One of the things that really impressed me about this supplement is the potency. Each capsule contains 700mg of pure goldenseal root extract, which definitely packs a punch when it comes to relieving my symptoms. Plus, the capsules are really easy to swallow and don't leave a horrible aftertaste in your mouth like some supplements do. On the downside, I have had to take more than the recommended dose in order to see results, but that's probably just because my body is used to getting a stronger dose at the doctor's office. Overall, I'm really happy with this product and would recommend it to anyone looking for a natural way to help with digestion issues, UTIs, or other respiratory issues. The only real downside is that it's not a permanent solution, but for short-term relief, Herbamama Goldenseal Root Extract Supplement is definitely worth a try. https://preview.redd.it/0omqwkr56q1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9e88e394a795f972ed4ad1a199684fa3aecbd32d As a long-time user of Himalaya Organic Gotu Kola, let me tell you, I've seen a significant improvement in my energy levels and memory since incorporating these caplets into my daily routine. I no longer feel sluggish during the day and my brain feels like it's firing on all cylinders. Plus, the fact that these are made with organic ingredients, are gluten-free, and vegan-friendly, well, it's just an added bonus. However, I will say that the taste isn't the best. It has a very earthy flavour that can be quite strong. But don't worry, because the aftertaste isn't very noticeable. Overall, I would recommend giving these a try if you're looking for a little boost in your day. Highly recommended! https://preview.redd.it/18kusqe66q1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1c0f99f5267ddec4bb5298e202e85635af6cc092 As an avid user of natural remedies, I can't help but gush about Oregon's Wild Harvest Organic Orange Echinacea Goldenseal Glycerite. This little bottle of herbal goodness has become my go-to for when I know a cold might be brewing. The first thing that stands out to me is the delicious orange flavor. Unlike other Echinacea and Goldenseal products, there's no lingering alcohol taste, making it much more palatable. Plus, it's certified organic and GMO-free which gives me peace of mind. Its benefits are astounding. Not only does this product boost my immunity, but it also soothes my respiratory system, making it easier for me to breathe during allergy season or when I'm feeling under the weather. However, no product is perfect. The serving size is quite small - just 1mL - so you might find yourself going through it faster than expected. But honestly, that's a small price to pay for such powerful relief. All in all, I can't recommend this product enough. It's become a staple in my medicine cabinet and a reliable ally during times of illness. https://preview.redd.it/juooxqh66q1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5d7b152deef4cafbcf060b19ed06bc5a0277df6f I recently added Sana Life's Collagen & Greens Powder to my morning routine, and I'm absolutely hooked. Before, I dreaded drinking greens powders, but Sana has changed the game. The taste is truly unmatched. It's like drinking a fruity juice, but with the added benefits of collagen and hyaluronic acid - it's like a magical beauty potion in a bottle. One of the best things about this product is how versatile it is. I can mix it into my morning smoothie, or even just with water, and it still tastes amazing. Additionally, I've noticed a difference in my hair and skin since starting this supplement. My hair feels stronger and my skin looks healthier. Plus, it supports gut health, which is always a bonus. However, not everything is perfect with this product. The unflavored version, while still being quite good, could use some improvement in terms of taste. Some users mention that they can taste something off, which can be off-putting. Overall, Sana Life's Collagen & Greens Powder has been a game-changer in my daily routine. It's a quick and easy way to get a boost of nutrients, and I look forward to seeing the long-term benefits. If you're considering trying this product, I would highly recommend it. Just make sure to give the unflavored version a chance! https://preview.redd.it/s2mtfhu66q1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0c59014047fe351e3efaaf5dc965da33f23caafa I've had the pleasure of trying out BetterBrand BetterLungs-60 Capsules, and I must say, it's been quite an experience. Though the reviews and ratings are varied, I personally found it to be quite effective in enhancing my lung health. The standout features for me were the natural components that worked together to minimize my coughing frequency and boost the overall health of my airways. One significant highlight was the noticeable improvement in sinus and bronchial support, making it much easier for me to breathe easily. I also appreciated the fact that it came as a 30-day supply, which was convenient considering my busy lifestyle. However, I must admit there were some cons to this product. Some users reported experiencing pain and discomfort from its use, so it may not be the best fit for everyone. Additionally, the quality control during shipping has been a concern for some buyers, which can tarnish the overall impression of the product. Overall, I would recommend BetterLungs-60 Capsules to those looking for a natural way to enhance their lung health and support their respiratory system. Just be sure to assess your personal tolerance before incorporating it into your daily routine. Buyer's Guide What are Cold Snap Herbal Supplements?
