2024.05.21 17:31 CakeKeepers A Deep Dive into Aura Finance, Redacted Cartel, and Hyperlock Fi: Innovations Driving DeFi Forward!

Hello Defi Folks!
Today, I want to dive into the incredible work of the sicarios over at Redacted Cartel, one of the most impressive teams in DeFi for nearly 2.5 years. They've built multiple businesses driving real yield to rlBTRFLY holders.
Let's explore how their efforts, alongside collaborations with Aura Finance and Hyperlock Fi, are shaping the DeFi yields.
First things first, What is Aura Finance?
Aura Finance is a cutting-edge DeFi protocol built on Balancer. Its primary goal is to enhance yield and governance for BAL stakers and liquidity providers. Aura allows users to convert BAL into auraBAL, which can then be staked for additional rewards. This model maximizes returns while empowering users with governance capabilities through a DAO structure.
Aura Finance - Finbold
Core Features of Aura Finance:
- Yield Optimization: Aura offers boosted yield farming opportunities, providing higher returns on Balancer liquidity pools.
- Governance: Operates under a decentralized autonomous organization -DAO- model, where AURA token holders can vote on key decisions affecting the platform.
- Security: The protocol is fortified by multiple audits from top security firms like Halborn, Peckshield, and Code4rena.
Check in here the audits.
Why Aura Finance is Important?
Aura Finance enhances liquidity and yield optimization within DeFi, promotes decentralized governance, and ensures secure and efficient farming solutions.
What is Redacted Cartel?
Redacted Cartel is a protocol focused on meta-governance and yield generation. It leverages veTokenomics to maximize yield and governance influence across various DeFi protocols. Redacted Cartel has launched multiple businesses that drive real yield to rlBTRFLY holders.
Core Projects by Redacted Cartel:
- Hidden Hand: A top marketplace for vote incentives, facilitating over $33 million in volume.
- Pirex: Provides auto-compounding liquid wrappers on yield-generating assets.
- pxETH: Pegged 1-1 to ETH, with staking options for high APR.
- Dinero: An upcoming permissionless stablecoin backed by Ethereum blockspace.
Why Redacted Cartel is Important?
Redacted Cartel’s innovations in meta-governance and yield generation make it a pivotal player in DeFi, driving significant value to its token holders.
What is Hyperlock Fi?
Hyperlock Fi is an emerging DeFi protocol and a franchise of Aura DAO. It focuses on providing yield and liquidity solutions, enhancing the Aura DAO ecosystem.
Core Features of Hyperlock Fi:
- Franchise Model: Operates as an extension of Aura DAO, enhancing its ecosystem.
- Yield and Liquidity Solutions: Provides advanced tools for yield optimization and liquidity management.
- Community and Governance: Emphasizes decentralized governance and community-driven development.
Why Hyperlock Fi is Important?
Hyperlock Fi contributes to expanding the utility and reach of Aura DAO, providing innovative solutions for the DeFi space.
Recent Developments and Collaborations:
- Redacted Cartel’s Achievements:
Over the past 2.5 years, Redacted Cartel has built multiple businesses driving real yield to rlBTRFLY holders. Key projects include Hidden Hand, Pirex, and pxETH, each contributing significantly to the DeFi ecosystem.
Collaborative Efforts Between Aura Finance and Redacted Cartel:
- Hidden Hand Integration: vlAURA holders benefit from the top marketplace for vote incentives.
- Pirex and pxETH: Enhancing yield opportunities through auto-compounding liquid wrappers and high APR staking options.
- Collaborative Pools: Aura Finance’s pxETH-WETH pool on Ethereum offers an impressive 31% APR, and Hyperlock Fi’s pxETH-WETH pool provides a great way to stack Blast Gold.
Detailed Analysis of Key Projects:
Hidden Hand:
- Functionality: Marketplace for vote incentives.
- Achievements: Over $33 million in volume.
- Importance: Enhances governance participation and efficiency.
Pirex:
- Functionality: Auto-compounding liquid wrappers on yield-generating assets.

Fallen Tree Games introduces an unique twist to the open-world sandbox category with The precinct giving players the role of a police officer.
The games unique camera viewpoint pays tribute to early Grand Theft Auto days offering engaging gameplay features like helicopter pursuits and cover-based combat.
As larger franchises like Watch Dogs and Saints Row take a step back indie studios like Fallen Tree Games continue to boost the genre with creative titles such as The Precinct.

Could the Rougelike Genre Rise in Popularity During The 2020’s?
https://preview.redd.it/80bmistk2g1d1.jpg?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8329970912c73dcfe309b42a7f176b25619a0d0e
The rougelike genre of gaming is one that does not get talked about as much as many other games despite how creative and fun they are. During a majority of the 2010’s decade it seems like the action-adventure, RPG and shooter genres were mainly popular with the games in each category selling millions worldwide. There were several franchises such as Grand Theft Auto, Halo, Call of Duty, Fortnite and others that have overshadowed indie rougelike video games during the 2010’s. It should be noted that its difficult for rougelike video games to shine on Sony or Nintendo game systems especially since first-party titles tend to be top sellers for whatever game system they appear on. While RPG’s are still very popular in this day and age it seems like action role-playing games get more attention that rougelike titles which is considered more of a subgenre of that particular category. During the past decade we got to see the release of several underrated rougelike video games including Splunkey 2, Dead Cells: Return To Castlevania, Rouge Legacy 2 and Darkest Dungeon titles that mainly received good reviews from critics following their respective releases. While rougelikes are addictive and have high replay values giving players a sense of achievement some can argue that the repetition of having to go through the same areas of a video game can is somewhat of a drawback. Even though, the rougelike genre has a variety of gameplay elements that makes it exciting it has yet to surpass action role-playing games in popularity which is something that could eventually change sometime during the 2020’s decade.

2024.05.19 22:19 AdamRidwan11 To Body Shop Owners - Starting A Business

Currently an estimator at a shop and have some questions to owner and operators. I have around three years of experience working around technicians and mechanical experience of my own working on my cars. From what I've seen there is lots of opportunities to grow within the industry as there are more cars on the road than ever.
Questions.
  1. Is it worth it opening a small auto body shop? If so what did you risk and how did you get started?
  2. Is it better to purchase a franchise or own an independent shop?
  3. What criteria makes a good location?
4 Do I need licenses?
Thank you in advance.

2024.05.19 18:00 KebabLord6969 An honest and short review of GTA 5

Grand Theft Auto 5, in my opinion, has to be the best game in the franchise so far. I like that the map is large, but not outrageously large, I like the character, I like basically everything. I think that it's actually good that there isn't the whole strenght gaining, weight gaining stuff that San Andreas had. The most important thing that I liked about it is that we can play as the 3 main characters, which, in a weird way makes the trio more likeable. The only thing I dislike about it is that because I view Franklin as the main character the mission should include him more, though I'm pretty sure Michael is the main character.

2024.05.19 16:09 Paulno90 A follow up to my 'HW3 demo feedback' (HW3 review-ish)

Prefacing the whole thing once again by saying that I'm a long time Homeworld fan, from the original all the way to here, playing hundreds of hours of the series. After the demo I felt so passionately about it that I made this post.
I've just finished the campaign, and I'm happy to say that, Homeworld 3 was a blast. The gameplay was fun, graphics looked beautiful, story was shorter than I hoped and didn't quite have the same impact as the final few missions of HW1/2 (too easy on medium), but I enjoyed it none the less.
The changes they made based on the demo feedback really did hit the spot, and addressed a few of my concerns. It's not a perfect game, and BBI sound committed to making improvements, so I'm really excited about the future. The story leaves things pretty open ended, with an obvious continuation, but we'll see!
I don't envy the task that BBI had here. HW1 is nostalgic not just because of how good it was, but because it was a genre-bending experience like no one had scene before, and the story was incredible, I will never forget the feeling/moment of returning to Kharak to see it burning, or when you arrive at Hiigara in the final mission. HW2 took the game to a whole new level in so many ways, and was memorable not for it's story, but the evolution of it's gameplay. HW3 feels like a fresh start, and I am truly hoping that this is just the beginning of a new era for this franchise, considering what they could do NOW with a Homeworld 4 (or expansion to HW3) gets me reaaaaaally excited.
A few thoughts after playing the game, and seeing some of the reviews:
Overall, I'm pretty happy with my time in the game. I will definitely be jumping straight back in for another run in the campaign at the highest difficulty, and play some War Games. I can't wait to see where the franchise goes from here.
Any questions, shoot, I'll try to answer!

2024.05.19 03:48 Templar_Blonic Rajang is the worst designed fight in every game he’s in

That’s it. That’s the post.
This troglodyte designed stupid monkey in every game I’ve played, all the way from MHFU, to 4U, to World and Rise is hot, steaming trash. He is, in every game except Rise, an insta-lock hitstun, non-stop, spastic, moronic excuse for an enemy with the most idiotic bounce mechanic I have ever see for how fast he is. I’m probably just unlucky but this abomination to the series turns every single time I try to hit his legs and my weapon bounces off of his arms, to which I then get half my health deleted by an attack that is faster than Dan Schneider huffing a child star’s toe pics.
It never stops moving. Each attack does AT LEAST 1/3 of your health, if not outright deletes 2/3 of it, most of them auto-lock on or are instant(like that stupid arm dash) and change direction mid-animation, and although he got smaller in every game after FU, they still screw it up by making him just small enough and spastic enough while being big to hit you from absurdly small windows of opportunity.
Not even mentioning his stupid jump and ball attack. In every game this is in it’s the worst thing to deal with except for World’s belly flop of death.
He isn’t fun. He isn’t enjoyable. He isn’t even cool. He’s a stupid, charmless monkey that is literally just another lame DBZ reference because the Japanese love to masturbate to their big 4 anime franchises.
Then in Rise he’s just a joke. Not even rebalanced to be fun— just an absurdly easy joke. He’s always a joke but in Rise it’s an unfunny rape of him. They didn’t even try making him interesting instead of just “Oh, he’s spamming the sweep again. Guess I’ll just hit one attack at a let as he passes by.”
And for some reason the main sub jerks this guy off and says their typical “DURR WELL I AKCHUALLY ONLY CART ONCE EVERY FIGHT AGAINST HIM BECAUSE I LIKE TO PRETEND THAT I’M GETTING PEGGED BY RAJANG BECAUSE I’M A ZOOPHILE” crap when you criticize any of their favorite monsters.
Oh, and in Iceborne; a DLC where pretty much every monster has some new B.S. to deal with but at least can be played around— Rajang is ONLY B.S..
Screw Rajang. It is the least fun, most unreasonable monster to fight in the series. Whoever designed him to be this consistently enraging deserves to be curbstomped into the concrete to the point where the sounds are so graphically loud and explosive that Japan thinks they’re being nuked again.
Screw. Rajang. Worst monster in the entire series. Even worse than Hyper-Hip-Check-of-Death Plesioth in MH1 and MHFU, because at least it has only one absurd, stupidly designed attack you have to worry about.
Edit: Because some of you can't read; It isn't a "I can't beat Rajang" situation. I always do. That doesn't change the fact that he is the worst monster in the series, just like we all have THAT monster we hate more than anything else and groan when you have to fight it.

2024.05.19 01:29 proizd Help troubleshooting key issue

Hi there, have a 2010 Mercedes and the key died. Replaced the batteries in the key but still didn’t work. Got an auto locksmith to come out and reprogram a new key but that key doesn’t work either. He said the car battery was faulty so I got RACV to come out and they said the battery was fine. Got the auto locksmith back out and he reprogrammed the key again same issue doesn’t work. He now says the car has a faulty fuel pump. Up until yesterday the car has never had any mechanical issues and has been regularly serviced. Last major service only 3 months ago. I know the car has an immobiliser so wonder if it’s a programming issue and this guy doesn’t know what he’s doing? Do I get the car towed to a mechanic or get a different auto locksmith out? Thanks

2024.05.18 19:28 TenaciousDRell Not sure what's causing my car to have trouble starting. Battery or Key fob?

So, for context, my 2013 Altima has about 220k miles on it, all from me over the last 5-6 years. It's been a really good car, and this is really the only problem I've ever encountered with it. About 8 months ago, my key fob died, so I went and got a new battery for it. I have the correct battery, and it's installed correctly into the fob, but after I did that the key fob quit working. Wasn't a big issue for me, since I don't mind just using the key in the back of the fob for everything, but two days ago I woke up for work and the car wouldn't start, almost like the battery was dead. I jumped the car off, and went to AutoZone to have them check the battery, and they said it and the alternator were both performing just fine. That's when I noticed my key fob was now working again to lock the doors and everything. Took the car home, didn't have any more trouble until the next morning, when it wouldn't start again unless I jumped it.
It doesn't seem like the battery is dead to me, as all my interior lights and dash come on really bright, no dimming and no flickering. I've checked all the fuses, and they all look good also, and because the key fob is now working, I'm wondering if it has something to do with that, however I would also like to note that it doesn't state "incorrect key ID" on the dash, so I'm not certain.
Last night I unhooked the negative terminal from my battery, so that if there was a parasitic wire draining it, it wouldn't be able to affect it, and this morning I still had the same issue, car refused to start without a jump.
I've also tried some things with the key fob I've seen online, like holding the fob up to the push to start button for a few seconds before attempting to start it, starting it by pushing the start button in with the fob, starting the car but not the motor and then using the physical key to lock and unlock the driver's side door, holding the lock button on the fob while trying to start the car, leaving the key fob in the car while the negative terminal is reconnected. None of these have worked.
Tomorrow, I'm going to go buy a new battery for the car and see if that helps. I know AutoZone said it was fine, but I want to start with the cheapest solutions first and work my way up. If that doesn't work, I'm guessing I'm going to have to contact a locksmith to see what they can find out, but I've got another vehicle for work and I'd like to try and figure this out since I know it's a common problem with altimas, and it'd be nice to have a solution for others that may not be as lucky as me. Any advice is welcome, thank you in advance!

2024.05.18 16:32 SuperStar4178 Rescue Team VS Rescue Team DX: a rant

I’ve played at least a little bit of every PMD game (defeated Rayquaza in Rescue Team, cleared Amp Plains in Explorers, saved Dunsparce in Gates, went off to save Pancham and Shelmet in Super, and have over 100 hours on RTDX), so I understand the mechanics of each fairly well. But I’m here to say that the remake is miles better than the original. Here’s my list of reasons:

Art Style: I like the sprites of the original game. It’s got its charm. But the remake’s watercolour art with the locations and the dungeons is incredible to look at. It’s refined.
Move Experience: Kind of a controversial take, but I’ve always preferred move experience over using Ginseng. The game rewards you for repeatedly using the same move, and this works wonders for room-coverage moves.
Gulpin and Linked Moves: Not only is linking free, but using up the PP of a linked move doesn’t delink the whole set. I’ve always hated that in the original.
Recruits: Enemy Pokémon have a chance to join you even if you don’t own the camp they can stay at. This increases their usefulness in the early game. They also gain XP when not in a dungeon, further increasing their usefulness.
Rare Qualities: Gummis were a hassle to manage in the first two games. With RQs, you simply need to complete a few missions and get them as a reward. Plus, RQs affect your whole team, not just a single Pokémon.
Auto Mode: A much-needed feature in the franchise. This shortens your stays in dungeons by a lot, and it even heads straight for rooms instead of mindlessly walking through corridors.
Portraits and Dialogue: Everyone is a lot more expressive, not constantly using the normal portrait. Some lines of dialogue have also been altered to be better, at least in my opinion.
Partner: Your partner doesn’t revert to a simple NPC in the postgame. He/She will greet you every morning and follow you around in the town. Also, being able to talk to them like in previous instalments was something that should’ve been in the original.
Evolution: Gone are the evolution items, which are replace with Evolution Crystals, an easy-to-find item. And you’re no longer required to bring that specific Pokémon to Luminous Cave; you just pull them up from a menu. Speaking of…
The Scarves: Number one reason why I don’t evolve myself or my partner.
Boss Rematches: Boss Pokémon joining your team is automatic now, instead of a 50/50.
Held Items: The selection is much better than the original. I personally constantly use the Efficient Bandana and the Munch Belt.

I went on quite a rant back there. Let me know your thoughts.
