Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, Fila Brasileiro: nel Regno Unito possedere queste razze di cani è vietato dalla legge. Leggo su www.gov.uk: «Se possedete uno di questi cani, potete consegnarlo alla polizia o alle autorità municipali. Se verrete trovati con uno di questi cani in un luogo pubblico, la polizia potrà requisirlo senza un mandato». Si può fare. Cosa aspetta il governo italiano? La prossima tragedia?
Vercelli, ieri: bimbo di 5 mesi muore azzannato dal pitbull di famiglia. Era in braccio alla nonna. Provincia di Foggia, ieri: pitbull azzanna quindicenne e bimba di sette anni, la mamma si lancia dal balcone per proteggerla. Sesto San Giovanni, martedì: bimba di due anni e mezzo azzannata da un pitbull mentre gioca con la sorellina. Trasportata in codice rosso all’ospedale di Niguarda. Milano, 4 maggio: aggressione in casa, bambino di dieci anni morso al torace e una gamba dal pitbull di famiglia. Eboli, 22 aprile due pitbull uccidono un bambino di un anno strappandolo dalle braccia dello zio. Mantova, 14 aprile: un pitbull senza guinzaglio e museruola azzanna un bimbo di sette anni e lo zio mentre erano in attesa dell’autobus. Questo, in poco più di un mese (e certamente non è tutto). Domanda: cosa aspettiamo a intervenire?

Posting on mobile so apologies for the formatting. I live in the deep south, in the deep country. Things are a little different here than they are in the city. I own about 80 acres of pastures and timber, but my house is near the road. Most of my neighbors are on smaller plots of 2-10 acres. I have my front yard fenced in for my dogs, a shetland sheepdog and a mini aussie, and then my livestock in the back. The road is narrow but straight and most of the occasional traffic is loud, fast logging trucks. The fence for my yard is set about 25' back from the road, there is a drainage ditch and the a good 15' of mowed, shady, grassy strip. Apologies for the length of setup here, but it helps to explain why this person was where she was.
This morning I went to let my dogs out and found a lady walking a huge grey pitbull-looking dog right up against my fence. Of course my dogs started barking, as they should when a strange dog is on the property. The other dog reacted very poorly. Of course I called my dogs back into the house, and then went back out to see what was going on. My yard is full of dog toys and this wouldn't be the first time someone has come to ask if a stray dog lived here.
When I went back outside the lady was standing and pointing to her dog. In an authoritative tone she said, "He is reactive." I said I could see that. She looked at me like I was simple. "So you have to make accomodations for him." This was where she lost me. Come to find out she just moved into a little rental house down the road on the corner of someone's property, her dog is recovering from knee surgery and needs to be walked a certain distance every day. She expects me to go down my driveway, out the gate, and onto the road to look up and down and make sure she isn't coming every time I let my dogs out during the day. As she was talking, her dog was snuffling around at the base of my fence and found a bully stick that my dog had dropped right on the other side of the wire and slurped it through the fence and swallowed it while. "Oh my god! That better not be beef! He's allergic to beef! You can't just leave stuff like that laying around!"
That was when I had enough. I said, "Ma'am, do you see that ditch right there? Everything on this side of it is my property. You are not welcome on my property. Please leave immediately. You are trespassing." She said she couldn't walk in the road because of the trucks and I told her that wasn't my problem. She headed back the way she came and I waited for her to leave and then let my dogs out.
I feel like I could have been more accommodating if she hadn't been so abrasive. Maybe we could have worked out a time every day where I would keep my dogs in so she could walk by for an hour or so. But I don't like being told what I can do on my own property and I feel like giving her any concession would just pave the way for more demands. AITA?

A Serracapriola, in provincia di Foggia, un pitbull ha azzannato prima una ragazza di 15 anni e poi una bimba di 7 anni.
L'episodio è avvenuto sabato, ma solo nella giornata odierna la notizia è stata diffusa dal sindaco Giuseppe D'Onofrio. Il cane era al guinzaglio con la padrona ma è riuscito a liberarsi azzannando prima la 15enne e poi la piccola, salvata dalla sua mamma che ha assistito alla scena e si è gettata dal balcone per soccorrerla. La donna ha rimediato la frattura ad un piede e guarirà in 60 giorni, mentre la piccola ha riportato abrasioni su gambe e braccia e guarirà in 20 giorni. Sul posto sono intervenuti i carabinieri.

Milano, il personale sanitario entra nell’abitazione di un uomo vittima di malore e viene assalito dal cane di famiglia

Milano – Terzo caso di aggressione di pitbull tra Milano e hinterland nel giro di 8 giorni. In realtà, l'episodio che vi stiamo per raccontare è avvenuto domenica 12 maggio, quindi 24 ore prima di quello che ha coinvolto una bambina di 2 anni e la zia babysitter lunedì a Sesto San Giovanni.

Il malore e l’aggressione ai sanitari

Stando a quanto emerso al momento, domenica un uomo italiano di 78 anni ha accusato un malore all'interno della sua abitazione di via Alex Visconti, in zona Gallaratese. La moglie, un'ecuadoriana di 61 anni, ha chiamato il 112 per chiedere aiuto. Dopo pochi minuti, sono arrivati i sanitari di Areu, ma appena entrati in casa sono stati aggrediti dal pitbull della coppia, che ha azzannato entrambi e ferito lievemente anche la padrona.

COACHELLA RADIUS CLAUSE

• "Coachella uses radius clauses which could prevent acts from performing in Los Angeles, the Inland Empire, or San Diego within a certain window. The festival has allowed some of its acts to make appearances in the region prior to the festival, but only at events and venues owned or controlled by AEG. According to the radius clause...
• Artists playing Coachella are barred from performing any festival in North America from December 15 to May 1.
• Artists are also barred from playing any hard ticket concerts in Southern California during that same time period.
• Artists can’t “advertise, publicize or leak” performances at competing festivals in California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington or Arizona or headliner concerts in SoCal that take place after May 1 until after May 7.
• Artists can’t announce festival appearances for the other 45 states in North America until after the Coachella lineup is announced in January, with exceptions made for Austin’s South by Southwest, Ultra Miami and the AEG-backed New Orleans Jazzfest.
• Artists must also wait for the January announcement before publicizing tour stops in California, Arizona, Washington and Oregon, with an exception made for Las Vegas casinos, but not Las Vegas festivals.
• Terms are negotiable though generally less leniency is given to higher billed artists."
