First time being promoted

2024.04.20 04:56 implaying First time being promoted

Ever since nag work ako way back 2012, sa buong talam buhay ko ngayon lang ako na promote. I feel scared kasi madadagdagan responsibilities ko and mas magiging busy ako. Medyo magiiba lang gagawin ko pero I'll still do the same thing. On the brighter side, TATAAS SAHOD KO šŸ˜. Mixed feelings and I don't want to leave a bad taste din kung tatanggihan ko yung promotion. Di rin kasi toxic and di stressful yung work. It's more on the tiring side pero kering keri naman. Wala eh masipag sa work din kaya ayun hahaha yun lang na share ko lang achievement ko this week. Sana kayo din mapromote sa mga work niyo. Happy Saturday šŸ˜Š

2018.07.14 16:17 Sofyia_Naomi [Discussion/ Questions] Let's talk about Maritime Academy of Asia and the Pacific (a.k.a. MAAP)- everything from how to enroll there, the available courses ,what are the benefits, the school life, academics, etc..

Hello ,everyone!!!!
[Let's go first to why I am asking this things:]
My Mother is dead set on putting my sibling there for years. Pero he does not want to become a Seaman, as he always want to be a Physical Therapist (hence why he chose his S.T.E.M. in Senior High). But because the financial strains we got after our Father lost his job years ago, Mama will not stop at NOTHING to enroll him there (she even have some "connections" inside there). My Sib express his desire not to go there for many years as he puts it, "Ma, ayaw ko pumunta sa MAAP! Kahit pagsabihin mo sa iba na gusto dun magaral sa harapan ko at magiging milyonaryo ako pag naging Seaman ako! May mga ibang ambisyon sa buhay po!!! "
My Mother then made a deal with my brother: If he did not passed to UP, UST, De la Salle ,or even University of Perpetual Help in P.T. ,but got passed in MAAP, he will go and finish there NO MATHER WHAT. He reluctantly agreed. I,personally, am mixed with this opinion as it puts practicality over dreams, but he will be showering with money. And I have heard a lot of things about MAAP, soo...
[End of Story]
Now, meron akong mga tanong sa mga people na Students, Professor, Staff, at mga Alumni of MAAP:
1) How does one get to MAAP in the first? I hear from many people that there will be a strict exam, interview, a lifestyle check, medical/ physical check, (psychological), and many papers to have. What are the requirements and papers to even get an exam?
1.a) btw, does grades matter here?
1.b) also, does being in STEM or any different Senior High courses can still enroll to MAAP?
1.c) What kind of course is the "easiest" and the "hardest" there?
2.a) What does academic life looks like? I heard that the first sem are the best/worst one as it only has ROTC or Army-like training, is this true? And if so can you describe your experiences about it?
2.b) Is it getting easier as time goes by?
2.c) How does one get a full time scholarship? (One of the perks that my Mom want)
2.d) Are the Professors strict?
2.e) oohhh, Do you really have a personal tutor who is a year academically older than you?
2.f) What are the subjects you have, Math, English, Science, or even First Aid Classes?
2.g) Do you have foreign students there?
3.a) What kinds of dorms do you have? Do you really get wake up in early in the morning?
3.b) Does everyone there has to act like a group with the same schedule on everything they do?
3.c) Do you guys have any communication in the outside world? (or even WiFi?)
4.a) Graduates of MAAP, what are the benefits of being a graduate there?
4.b) Students of MAAP, what are the pros and cons there?
And most of all: Is it your free will to study there in MAAP? Are you happy with the path you have taken?
Sorry if this is a very long post and I'm sorry if you were offended. And soon it think that maybe I'll show it to my Sib next thing in the mourning, Thanks for sharing!
