So i got hired on the spot just the other day for this company that does MIG welding, they do parts for caterpillar and roofing. I did a weld test and didn’t do my best but it was decent. They asked what i was looking for in pay and i think i may have asked too little. I was afraid to ask for too much so i went with 18 to be safe but now i feel like i fucked myself over. I’ve never worked in a shop before and the only experience i have is from a community college class i took for about 5 months. Do y’all think 18 an hour paid weekly is decent or should i look into something more?

So i had my car at the mechanics so that they could change the wheels. They had damaged one of the rim, when i adressed that to them they agreed to send it for repair. My summer wheels are 20 inches and they put 17 inch winter wheel on the one that they took out to send for repair. He said that the difference is only 4% and that it is no big deal. Can this cause more damage? I am not planning on using the car until the fixed wheel arrives which they said could take 1 to 2 weeks. The car is 2017 year model E class rwd. The one that they put at the front on the left is 245/45R17, The original tires at the front are 245/35R20.While the original ones at the back are 275/30ZR20. The car is slightly tilted on the side of the smaller wheel.

CREC was originally intended to list in March, but the listing was pushed back to the end of May after sticky inflation prevented central banks from lowering rates. I know that the PSE is usually hesitant to schedule IPOs too closely together for fears of oversaturating the market with new equity issuances, and given how heavy the OceanaGold PH [OGP 12.36 ▼1.1%; 31% avgVol] listing has been so far, perhaps the PSE and CREC together decided that it might be worth it to get a little (more) space between OGP and CREC’s listing just to be sure. Edgar Saavedra’s group has been clear the whole time of its intent to list CREC in Q2, so a reschedule by one week to June 7 doesn’t seem like anything other than a bit of fine-tuning. Not sure how deeply we can read into anything. Just excited to get a look at a new IPO.
• [NEWS] MREIT to acquire ₱13.15-B worth of office buildings through share swap... MREIT [MREIT 12.80 ▼1.2%; 380% avgVol] [link] announced that it has applied to the SEC to approve a property-for-share swap transaction with its parent company, Megaworld [MEG 1.79 ▲0.6%; 136% avgVol], where MREIT will acquire six “Grade A buildings” from MEG in exchange for 926,162,000 primary MREIT shares. The transaction is valued at ₱13.15 billion (~₱14.20/share). The properties that MEG will inject into MREIT are One Fintech Place and Two Fintech Place in Iloilo Business Park, Davao Finance Center in Davao Park District, and Two West Campus, Ten West Campus, and One Le Grand in Fort Bonifacio. The transaction will increase MREIT’s gross leasable area (GLA) by 48% to 482,000 square meters.
  
  • MB: This property-for-share swap structure is how the framers of the REIT Law imagined REITs would grow. I’ve seen some comments talking about how the issuance of primary shares by MREIT to MEG dilutes MREIT shareholders; this is true from a voting perspective, but not from a dividend or yield perspective. Starting from the point when the SEC approves the transaction, MREIT will begin generating revenue from these properties, and that revenue will flow into the dividends that MREIT will declare in future quarters. According to my calculations with the PSE’s data, this swap would push MREIT’s public float below the REIT Law’s one-third minimum public ownership threshold to 32.29%, so perhaps MEG will look to sell a small batch of shares in a private placement to prevent the possibility of suspension. Who knows when the SEC will approve the transaction? • [NEWS] Vista Land board approves ₱5-B preferred shares offer... Vista Land [VLL 1.50 ▲2.0%; 0% avgVol] [link] disclosed that its board has approved a ₱5 billion preferred shares offering, consisting of 50,000,000 Series 2 Preferred Shares priced at ₱100/share. VLL said that China Bank Capital and SB Capital will be joint lead underwriters on the deal. The company did not provide any information about the potential dividend or the timeline for the offer period and listing of the shares.
  
  • MB: This prefs sale comes after VLL had to kill its disastrous attempt to sell $700 million in US Dollar-denominated bonds back in late January. Back then, VLL’s bonds were simply not shiny enough to compete with the yields of other (better) issuers. When it pulled the bonds there was an expectation that VLL would try again once rates had come down a bit, and while rates have not gone down, perhaps this smaller offering is intended to deal with whatever short-term needs the company has while it waits to make a bond offering at some future time when rates are lower.

So our LO is almost 15mo and fully on solids. And we're trying to have him sleep through the night ideally without any wakes. So looking for suggestions/guidance.
Schedule:
wakes up around ~7:30am,
first nap around 9:30am - 30mins,
second nap around 1:30pm - 1.5hrs,
bedtime - 8:30pm
This has always been kind of his schedule (before sleep training as well). For past 6 months or so, every time he woke up in the night, we gave him some water (because we thought he is thirsty, and habitually drinking). And he would fall back to sleep.
We started sleep training about a month back. After that he sleeps on his own generally within 5-10mins during bedtime and nap-time. However, (I think) he's having issues connecting the sleep cycles which results in frequent wakes in the night (3-5 times). First wake around midnight, then after every ~1.5-2hrs. This was also always the case with him (before sleep training as well).
For last couple of weeks, we have also stopped feeding him in the night. So he has dinner around 7:30pm and that's it.
Also, we're co-rooming currently. We want to move him into his own room, but we think that it may not really help the situation (but idk honestly) and we might just end up making multiple runs from one room to the other in the night. So we are punting on moving him into his own room until night time wakes are reduced.
What could be causing this frequent wakes in the night? And how can we resolve this?

As you know, one of the main gripes with C++ development is related to compilation time. Compiler vendors constantly strive to make improvements in this area, in spite of new STL features being constantly added. C++26 is going to be quite special in this regard though afaik, having the reflections proposal accepted. Reflections being probably the biggest metaprogramming extensions ever added to the language, even bigger than concepts and require clauses.
I'm saying this because I was watching this particular talk by Alexander Fokin describing it: https://youtu.be/FqzrQf6Xr8g?si=oe6L0askoOzQjSlC&t=3592 . What immediately caught my attention was the example of how you could implement std::tuple (almost fully) in what? 20 lines of code? For reference, MSVC's implementation is a header with more than 1000 lines of code ( https://github.com/microsoft/STL/blob/main/stl/inc/tuple ), containing dozens of helper class template instantiated for each instance of std::tuple used in real code. A fair assumption would be that the std::meta version would be far faster to compile, reflections being a very straight-forward way of expressing your intent to the compiler. In real life scenarios this could results in an immense amount of time saved at compilation time. And better yet, the opportunity of rewritting std::tuple would be a big bonus too since none of the standard implementations are optimal ( https://www.reddit.com/cpp/comments/ilujab/it_turns_out_stdtuple_is_not_a_zerocost/ ).
Again, I'm not talking just about std::tuple here, I'm assuming there are dozens of STL components that could use being rewritten using reflections, if for nothing else, at least for the sake of compilation time. I'm wondering if this new feature couldn't be the push vendors have needed to take into consideration a real ABI break with one of their future releases, considering the compilation time improvements now available on the table.

I am in a swim class and there is this guy. He always makes me smile with his stupid jokes and his smile make me smile and laugh. I cant tell if he likes me or not because he makes an effort to talk to me about stupid things like plastic or while we were waiting for everyone else in the class to come back he kept scooting closer to m from like 5 ft apart to 3.ft. And while he was doing that he was talking to me about something stupid then got in the water and decided to do pull ups. Also his face is always red when its just us. I don't know what to do my last swim class is next week.. And he has my snap but i had to delete snap and he doesn't have my number. Please give me some advice im a kinda shy person and so is he.

Take this with a massive grain of salt because these leaks/rumors are not 100% guaranteed to be true. But it's fun to investigate the possibilities.

I installed a 9.2 KW system back in 2022 with NRG Solar using Enphase microinverters.
I had one panel go down last weekend due to a bad microinverter. I called/emailed NRG on Monday and had Shelley reach out by Monday afternoon explaining she was diagnosing the issue with Enphase and to give them 24 hours. At Tuesday around noon, Shelley followed up and confirmed the part was bad and a new one would be shipped to me. I received the new inverter by Sunday and emailed Shelley on Monday to schedule my appointment. She had already scheduled an appointment for me for Tuesday (today) as she was tracking my shipment for me. The installer just fixed it this morning in about an hour and my panel is back up and running. To summarize, it look about a week to go from broken to fixed. That's honestly amazing speed and the responsiveness of Shelley made the whole experience as painless as possible. I'll continue to recommend NRG to family and friends looking to go solar.

Ok, so I’m not sure if this is the diagnosis for me - but reading this subreddit I admit that I want to go to the doctor and see if this may be the case!
Ok so long story short: usually a week before my period or so, I will overthink everything and I want to quit relationships/work/hobbies etc and do drastic changes to my life. In a way it serves as some clarity to what I usually overlook in daily life, I just wish it was not so exhausting and negative.
For instance, today, I have mentally decided to quit one of my part time jobs because I dislike the work and it interferes too much with my study. I also cut my hair impulsively. And this evening I was contemplating whether or not I me and SO have a future because I felt like I am the only one that sees housework that needs to be done. We talked about this and I didn’t know why but today everything felt worse and unfixable.
Then it dawned on me - I checked the schedule, and yes my period is due in a few days.. Just like all the other times I feel negative.

My parents have been divorced since I was around 5, but I’ve seen my dad periodically maybe 3-5x a year growing up since then, and the number became less frequent when becoming a middle schooler, high schooler, etc.
He lives a state over, but never attended my HS graduation because his relationship to my mom + extended family has always been kind of rocky. He was always kind of a drunk/trouble maker in their eyes. I think it bothered him that he didn’t get to see me walk in HS (7 years ago) so bad, I remember he got drunk and called me, cursing me out at my graduation class ceremony celebration, telling me I am his seed + nothing without him and all this other crap with all my classmates out in the party having a good time in which I hid in the venue’s bathroom for half an hour crying, arguing with him.
We kind of glossed over this fact as time went on. He would cut me off and then eventually moved overseas and just tried to contact me after months and act like nothing happened. He’d tell me he’s sober and whatnot and he was loving again.
Fast forward to today, I text him maybe 2x a month, he lives a state away from me, and I graduate with my master’s now in a week from now. I know he’s excited for me, but I don’t think he’s expecting an invite from me necessarily, but in case he is, what would I even say? I don’t even think he’d remember the HS argument we had. And it makes me feel uneasy at the thought of him coming in the first place to see my mom + extended family to my ceremony bc he would totally be the type to cause a scene or something with them based on old patterns.

It's different from school, since it's a biblical academy, and after we end the course, we actually get our degree we can teach anyone who joins the academy too. The course is only 9months. I'm mid-20s and he's in his 30s btw. At first, i didn't even think he was attractive, i just thought he was good at teaching and that's it. There was a point where he said he was like a "spiritual father" to us, and this is what started my weird attraction though, idk why ^{(daddy issues ?}) I try to avoid him as much as i can, and once he said "you're not sayign goodbye ?" as i was heading twds the elevator. Last time i went to class that was awkward bc i was late and he was waiting by the door, and i wanted to enter the class without greeting him, but he closed the door and didn't want to let me enter the class, and said i had a "bad attitude" bc i was being impolite. Then i said i had a "bad week" to pacify him, and it sort of worked, when i said my work was very stressful, and i had a lot on my mind. I mean, i did have a stressful week, and i struggle with anxiety. i had stopped being attracted to him for a while, but my attraction still skyrocketed after this. What's worse is i don't even find him that attractive physically, the one thing he has going on for himself, is he is tall. I used to do all the things that most people on this sub talk abt doing when they have a crush : dressing up. i dressed up once and regretted it, bc he stared me up and down during class, when he entered the room. And i wore sweapants ever since, 'cause i was so uncomfortable(I was simply wearing as shirt with velvet pants).

The button at the bottom right that would give you a list of article templates that you can just click on and be taken to full edit mode vanished a couple weeks ago, and having to go in through the back and fill in the title and a random keysmash of content to get to the page I actually want for every single article is driving me insane. Is that button still out there somewhere and I just don't know where it's been moved to? If not, is there a reason for this maddening change??

I can't stand this scammer, and it's even worse when she's on "vacation". I started my own business in 2015 and HUSTLED hard to build and grow it into what it is today. 18-20 hour days, 7 days a week, 365 with no days off or vacations. I do post my business daily on social media and that has helped me gain a good reputation by showing my work and results.
A few weeks ago I scheduled a vacation and while I was gone I barely looked at my phone. Sure, I took photos but I didn't post because I wanted to genuinely, authentically enjoy my time away. I had the best time and came home refreshed and ready to get back at it.
This dumbass is so desperate for attention that she can't even put her phone down and enjoy her vacation, her "sister" and new experiences. She is beyond pathetic is laughable.
Also, I paid for my vacation myself and didn't scam anyone for the money.
It's time for her to GO AWAY FOR GOOD.

She is upset because she is graduating her degree soon. In Portugal, we have this tradition to write the person who is about to graduate a message (and drawing, if you want) on a long fabric ribbon, and each degree has it's own ribbon colour.
We study in the same university, but different degrees. Since she hasn't come to university in a while and is studying from home, I spent months buying her ribbons, giving them to her friends, reminding them to write theirs on time, buying more ribbons, traveling to give her the ribbons, drawing on them (because she can't draw) so she could give her classmates pretty ribbons and all. This ribbons deal consumed a lot of effort and time for me.
This week, I have a VERY important presentation that will affect my grade on the hardest class I'm taking, and I was so busy working on it that I forgot to do my ribbon for her. When I went back to the city where I study at, I left behind the ribbon I was supposed to write on along with the special pens that I could use to write on it (because the ribbon is a really dark blue colour and since it's made out of fabric, not every pen can write on it and it needs to be a specific one).
I told this to my sister and that I had also forgotten my dress (because my mom was busy this weekend and didn't pick my dress, they are really picky with what dress I wear, for some reason) and she was really upset.
I asked her if they could bring the pen and dress a bit earlier before the ceremony so that I could take care of it before the ceremony. She said that they will have to leave the house at 6am to get here on time for the ceremony at 9am, and that they won't have time for it and I'll need to buy a pen here.
The thing is that I have that presentation and I'm in architecture, so this presentation/project is taking up too much of my time, I can't focus on anything else, even if I wanted to, I do not have 1h/2h to spare to go look for a random pen and a regular black one won't be visible on the dark blue ribbon. The project is meant to be sent and showed the day before the ceremony and will take up the whole day, so stores will be closed.
My sister is now yelling at me and won't talk to me because I'm irresponsible and don't care about her or her graduating. It's true that I was irresponsible and forgot, but it's not that I don't care, it's that I literally don't have the time. What should I do?

Last week I subbed for a high school class twice. The first day, the 3 different classes were okay and they had different assignments. All the assignments were on their laptops and I had no access to them at all so I just reminded them to finish it and stay on course if they really looked like they weren't doing their work. During 3rd hour I hear a familiar noise coming from a students laptop, which sounds like a game. I, obviously thinking they're playing on a game they shouldn't be, quietly make my way to the student in question to take a peek at their screen before I bust them.
What I see FLOORS me. It's a clock face with 3 time options on the side. I look around to other students laptops and they're doing the same assignment. I double check my notes and see "Time and money activity" and I'm stunned. These kids are seniors in highschool. Their assignment is to read a fucking clock. The students I know tell me this is the type of work they always do and that no one cares about the teacher because she doesn't even bother teaching. I was and still and flabbergasted.
I can't express how sad I was when I saw that. Not only because it's busy work with no real benefit but because I had literally taught the exact same assignment to first graders the week previous. I had mentioned the curriculum to one of the vice principals since I'm friends with him and he just rolled his eyes, confirming what the kids told me. She is an irresponsible teacher with no accountability and will fudge the students grades just so they pass. They aren't learning anything from her, their other teachers complain about her students because she allows them to walk out of the room whenever, do their makeup in class, not do their work, etc and it apparently gives the kids a complex about not wanting to be in other classes because the other teachers actually have expectations of them.
I don't understand what the point in keeping a teacher around is when they don't teach and they actively hinder the students and fellow teachers from doing what they need to do. I understand the teachers union protects the teachers but protecting teachers like this is why people hate the union. These kids deserve better. They deserve to have their growing minds nurtured not neglected and I can't tell if I'm more sad or angry watching this train wreck.

Student lobbyist for school renovations(10th grade): Was selected to be the only student lobbyist for my school's multi-million Lira expansion to increase class sizes by around 25% with an additional side building and a new library. Mayors son went to my school so thats where the internship came from

3.12 percent on LGS-Standardized test that is the sole factor of high school admission. Best score my middle school has ever produced. Only kid that was in the top 10 percent coming out of my middle school since 1998.
TBB National Finance Competition: 2nd out of 10k+ in national Financial knowledge competition ran by Turkish banking association
10th grade research project qualified for Tubitak(Turkish research council: project was about Corona's effect on reading habits throughout Turkish students)
Takdir 9th grade(top 5 percent of freshmen)
4th in national school based swimming relay in 9th.(Was varsity/ A team swimming in 9th grade)

İnjuries from car crash(coma)- not a joke, got in car crash right before 10th. Was in a coma for 4 weeks and missed like 40 percent of the year from pt, rehab and surgeries.
İ had to delay taking preclac because İ moved here late so İ took precalc and ab senior instead of ab and bc.

I have many friends who are transferring to other state universities (mostly UCF)
I know I shouldn't choose a school based on where my friends are going, but I feel terribly close with these friends I've made over the past year.
I don't want to lose or not give them enough attention or focus.
Is it hard to schedule classes as an Engineering major to have 3 day weekends? I'd plan to take busses to and from UF & UCF on Fridays and or Saturdays to spend time with those I hold near and dear.
Please, share any and all thoughts.

I initially applied for this role as a full time position. I was told I’d go to the second interview and it would be scheduled, before this could happen they contacted me again offering a freelance opportunity for an urgent project, all while they continued to interview the rest of the candidates (as I was one of the first people to interview).
I started to work as a freelancer for them as I didn’t want to seem like I was not interested in joining the company. They are a design agency (20+ years old) offering digital, branding, UX UI etc with about 13-15 employees. I had applied for the digital UX/UI Designer advertised for junior to mid (as I don’t have extensive experience in UX UI).
While I was working there, I was in everyday for the last week or so and they continued to interview the others. It was an extremely awkward situation to be in to be very honest as they would up and leave when an interview was scheduled and they wouldn’t tell me but I knew. But I continued with the mindset that I’ll think of this as a freelance gig while also trying to impress them.
They later told me they would still like to do the second interview with me also (first interview was with the ceo/cofounder second is with the creative director and another designer)
The interview is today, and I want to know if there is anything I should be wary of or consider doing differently with how odd the situation is. And if anyway I can stand out on top of everything else lol.
