TL/DR: The next-door neighbor lady began throwing stuff over our new fence while she was cutting grass last Summer. She is doing it again this year. Today, I yelled at her through my Ring camera, she didn’t hear me, or she pretended she didn’t hear me. The stuff she has thrown, has usually always been along the fence line. But today, I saw she did it again, she threw more stuff from the MIDDLE of her yard into our yard. I don’t want to be petty or stoop to her level, any suggestions on how to handle this…?

I noticed she picked up something in the middle of her yard, and as she pushed her mirror towards our yard, she held whatever it was in her hand, then she threw it in our yard. WTHECK…???!
WWYD…? I am a senior citizen, with some health issues and disabilities, and I live alone, and she has quite a nasty boyfriend, and she is quite nasty herself. So I feel like they might gang up on me, or retaliate somehow. I do have an attorney who is somewhat aware of the situation. Would it be worth my while to have the attorney send some type of certified letter…? Obviously, I want to least confrontational solution possible. Nothing that’s going to really around her feathers or provoke her boyfriend. So, that means not stooping into her level, although she probably would deserve it. Advice…? WWYD…?
I guess I can’t take it too personal, because she still throws pinecones from her trees into the other neighbors yard when she cuts grass.

I recently found a new doctor's office in my small town (NH). They are a family care office that is attached and affiliated with the local hospital. I have a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP). As part of the onboarding process as a new patient, they required me to have a establishing care visit where I provided information about medical history medical concerns, etc. I have already paid the ~$150 office visit fee for this appointment as I understand it doesn't count as preventative care.
During the visit, the nurse practitioner said she wanted to do blood work for the annual physical that she had scheduled (less than two months away). The blood work she ordered seemed routine like a lipid pane, testosterone level check, STD testing, and vitamin D levels. I went to laboratory services within the hospital that same day to have blood drawn.
A little over a month after that initial establishing care visit, I received a bill in the mail for the amount of >$1700 with a contracted insurance discount of ~$500. Resulting in a balance of over $1200. I called my insurance company to see why the claim was denied and $0 was paid as I was told this was bloodwork that would be reviewed at my upcoming physical. My insurance company told me that the claim was submitted with the primary billing code of 'illness' and that if any routine blood work was submitted with the routine charge code, that it would be 100% covered with my insurance as it's considered 'preventative care'.
I have spent almost two months going back and forth with the hospital billing, medical records, and family care office. Getting the runaround about codes being submitted and other possible delays between the family office and medical records, billing not having any updates for me, etc.
As of yesterday I finally heard back from the family care practice manager. She told me that all of the codes were submitted properly and that going back and changing the codes to then submit a Correct Claim to my insurance company would be considered fraud. She told me that she had spoken to the billing department and they had said they were unwilling to write off any of the charges as they were not going to be covered by insurance even if they had been charged differently. I told her I spoke with my insurance and that information was not correct. I told her that the only test I had requested that day was the STD testing and the other tests were the primary care nurse practioner's 'standard' testing for annual physicals. The Practice Manager said she would talk with billing again and get back to me.
This afternoon, I received a "Past Due" notice for the bill and it says that if I do not pay within 7 days, it will be sent for a credit review. I work as a contractor for a company that services the federal government and hold an active security clearance. I cannot be seen to be a financial risk with something like collections on my credit history. I have the funds available to pay the ~$1200 bill in my HSA, but I can't help but feel this is wrong and incorrectly billed.
What (if any) recourse do I have for this? Should I just eat the $1200 and not have any blood work performed unless it's at an annual physical in the future (even in my primary care NP wants it done before the physical so we can review the results then)? Am I misunderstanding the HDHP 'preventative care' coverage?

Hi y’all! I am currently planning a vacation in Gold Coast in Australia, in the company of my girlfriend, as part of which we would like to rent a car to commute within the region.
However, my girlfriend, who is a New Zealand citizen, currently happens to have only a Restricted Driver’s License in her country, while I, an Indian citizen, have a full driver’s license that I have held for many years.
Could someone tell me how it is that we should be handling our driving duties during our time in Queensland? My co-worker works part time and has been with our company for almost a year now. They’ve allowed her to work PT hours in the afternoon because she has a toddler and the afternoon seems to be a better time for her. However, she will work some mornings and sometimes full time hours (probably to rack up on PTO and money since she is hourly). She slacks off, does the bare minimum, doesn’t attend “mandatory meetings,” etc. and they continue to baby her and have me take on most of the responsibilities while she gets to just focus on her main work and continue playing the “I have limited hours” card. They are thinking about hiring her in full time after she hits the 1yr mark… I personally think that they should be a little more firm with her attending meetings, taking on some new projects, trainings, etc. so that she can get used to FT workloads and understand her job better because she asks a million and one questions to things every single day. But they know that they have me to do all the heavy-lifting while she can sit back, kick her feet up, and work on the same projects/tasks that have been there for months. She needs to learn, but then again, maybe IATA. What do you think?

The Word, was in the presence of God. The Word was alongside of God, near to, in front of. John tells us, this divine being, came to the earth, this divine being, became flesh, for prior to this he was a spirit being. The Word, is a title, given to a specific being, and not God's speech or expressions… Jesus, the Word, the Logos, is not God.
However, even without arguing grammar, we can read from the same letter and see the frame of mind John had Jesus, the Word, in.
Notably John 1:18 says that “no man has seen God at any time.” This occurs many times and isn’t a one off idea. (Ex 33:20; John 6:46; 1 John 4:12)
If we read previously at John 1:14, we see that the Word became flesh. Jesus was clearly seen by many thousands of people. That easily concludes that Jesus is not God.
John 1:23, “I am a voice of someone crying out in the wilderness.” Jesus is quoting Isaiah 40:3. This isn’t a new idea, Malachi 3:1:

1Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith [YHWH] of hosts.

There is the temple again, not Jesus physical body. But! Lord, whom ye seek. We see this distinction between God and Lord at 1 Cor 8:5-6:

5 For even though there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth, just as there are many “gods” and many “lords,” 6 there is actually to us one God, the Father, from whom all things are and we for him; and there is one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things are and we through him. (KJV says the same)

So, John had the same mindset that Paul wrote about here. The Word was certainly not God, because we have seen Jesus. Jesus claims to be the messenger, the answerer of the ones crying out in the wilderness. John, nor Paul, thought Jesus was Almighty God, YHWH.

I’ve been working customer service jobs all my life and hate it! I’m over answering dumb questions, not having a set schedule, and being under a management team that would rather have bodies than people doing their job. I’m currently going to school for Business Administration but I’m not sure what to pursue with this degree. I’m an introvert and when too many people come up to me when I’m trying to get my work done, I become a bit irritable and overwhelmed. Once my work is finished, I’m pretty cool and don’t mind sparking up a conversation. I’m really just looking for balance in my life. It might sound dumb I watched my mother as a billing agent (probably not the right title but you know what I mean) and I thought having your own office, work on the computer with my headphone in seemed so cool. You order takeout and complain about your boss with your coworkers and everyone goes their separate ways after lunch is over. I want to be successful and have a career where I am financially stable and can move around.
Here are some things I found interesting:
HR: Has the organizations skills, consistent schedule, aligns with my degree, and a split between human interaction and office work. Downfall is that I’ve watched my last 3 HR managers leave because the company cared more about themselves than the workers. They also overworked and blamed them for everything that went wrong.
Accounting: Quiet and flexible but math is my least favorite subject and I’d hate to feel like a failure going into something new.
Project Management: Probably where I’m heading. Has opportunities to grow, a set schedule and a possibility to become remote. I don’t mind going to meetings, writing emails and doing office work. My only fear is that I’m currently a manager and found that I’m better at being in charge of a project than a team.
Possible side hustles:
Blogger: Writing has always been my go to when I can’t find the words to say. I was thinking about starting my own blog but I know money isn’t guaranteed
Entrepreneurship: It’s why I went back to college to begin with. I thought about starting my own business but money is tight and you’ll see a loss before you’ll see a profit. I plan on selling small items on Etsy and eventually work my way up

Hey, I'm new here so I'm just gonna get straight to the point:
We are a middle sized company with around 200 IT seats and are looking to implement InTune for patch management, installation of software and in general applying policies. We use Sophos MDM so no need for that (although I gathered InTune MDM is kinda the easiest to set up).
We already have an M365 tenant, all our mailboxes are in Exchange Online, our users moslty have Business Premium licences.
The IT department is quite small: just me as a full time sysadmin, an external IT consultant (who plans infrastructure etc with me and is on site 2-3 days a week) and an apprentice.
We asked our MSP for a quote for InTune implementation, but we were baffled by the quote being around 10k €. We understand that this is a safety for the MSP and that usually they don't need as many days as long as nothing goes wrong (and we would also only pay as much time as they need), but still.
Now obviously we also think about the option of just implementing it ourselves.
Any thoughts, experiences, recommendations, advice?

Does anybody have knowledge on whether a cracked handle will affect performance? I got a new paddle a month ago, and when changing the under grip I noticed a crack which was done during manufacturing. When notifying the company they told me the performance should not be effected. I feel like I’m dying on the inside.
I’ve been working a corporate gig for about 2.5 years now. I am not a corporate person.
It’s a very VERY small company. I’m one of four people.
Of the remaining 3, the owner is late 60’s and is facing a terminal illness. Employee 2 is his sister who I adore, is in her 70’s, very part-time and is planning to retire. The last employee is in her mid-50’s, has known the family since she was little and got her position that way. She’s been here forever, and she’s also a passive-aggressive gossiping bully.
I’m a woman in my late 40’s. I’ve of mixed race and look Mexican or Native. I landed this job by sheer luck. My boyfriend did some tech work for them and introduced me. I have no ties to the family.
We are a company that caters to very wealthy, conservative, Caucasian men. The owner and co workers lean that way as well.
I have been struggling since I’ve started here. Not because of my actual workload. I excel at what I do, have been promoted in a short amount of time and have been financially compensated appropriately.
The thing is, I’m dying on the inside.
Nothing I do really matters. It’s empty work that doesn’t align with my sense of values. I feel like I’m not contributing anything to society.
I don’t connect with our clients. I’ve worked here for almost 3 years and no one knows who I am. I’m invisible and I can’t pretend race doesn’t play a factor in that. I’ve brought that up to the rest of the group, they downplay my observations and talk to me as if it’s my first day being a brown person. They can’t understand how I would be treated differently, and bless their hearts for that ignorance, but it leaves me feeling very alone and disconnected.
I can’t deal with the bullying behavior from the 3rd coworker. She’s power driven and manipulative. The owner and the sister know this and have seen it for themselves but will do nothing about it. I’ve already had conversations with the bully about her behavior. Sometimes she’ll admit to it and things will improve for a day or so, other times I’ll get the silent treatment.
There is no HR department to go to. I’ve put up with it or just let it roll off me, but I had a final straw last week that I can’t overlook anymore.
I’ve been apathetic for months now, and toggle between feeling nothing and rage. I’m waking up in the middle of the night stressed out over the idea of coming to work every day. I’ve put on a ton of weight and have somehow aged so much in such a small amount of time.
Here’s the curveball.
I will be starting a new life with my amazing partner. We just bought a house and will be relocating 150 miles away at the end of June. I told my job, everyone freaked out for a few days, but agreed to let me work remote but continuing traveling for events that we sponsor.
At first, I was on board with this plan, as it is so generous to offer it, but the more time that goes on I don’t feel I can do it. My chest burns at the thought of being involved here anymore.
I have this opportunity to start a whole new life. I’m sure I could find new employment where we’re going. It won’t pay as well, I guarantee that. However, I don’t want my partner to bear the brunt of any financial losses we will incur from my decision. Especially during this time of transition.
I really should be happy and grateful with my job. There are so many people who know this company who would kill to have my job. I’ve been told that to my face. I DO know how fortunate I am. but I hate my existence. I hate waking up the days I have to report to work. I’m good at my job, but this job isn’t good for me. Sometimes I wonder if I’m keeping someone else from their dream job by hanging on here, but I feel pressured into staying. It’s getting to the point where I’m isolating myself. I don’t go outside. I don’t take care of my space or myself really. I’m starting to contemplate hurting myself.
Am I being too thin-skinned? Right now, I want to tell them I’ll work remote until the end of October then be done. Six months would be more than enough time to find my replacement. I'm in a hybrid position of 3 different roles in the company. It would take that long to train someone appropriately.
Or do I just suck it up and see this as a paycheck and that’s it.
Please help.

The longer it has taken to secure a date, over 6 months now, the more anxious I have become about going on one. M68, widowed 18 months ago, I haven’t actually dated since high school. My late wife and I had a business relationship when we each divorced our spouses at around the same time. We became romantic over the phone, I traveled across the country and moved in with her. We were inseparable for 22 years.
Despite being fit and healthy, cycling and exercising often, there are several things that make me nervous about dating— none of them concern my confidence and social skills in public. My body count is just two, both of which were my wives, so performance anxiety, especially at my age, is definitely a problem. So are the prospects of kissing or making out, the process of dating, when and whether we would sleep together, me bringing masculine energy to dating when I’m unsure of myself.
Originally I thought I could get through it, learn about myself as I go, let experience take up the slack. But, not having dates, from either popular dating apps nor approaching irl, has shaken that intention. I have talked to a few dozen women, mostly in their 50’s and 60’s but some younger as well, and have gotten phone numbers a few times, but no dates have resulted. I haven’t had a single conversation on any app longer than a message or two, except for a couple of scammers. I’ve tried about 8-9 different apps with the same result.
Now, I find myself self-sabotaging my prospects, being overly picky or simply not taking any action, and curiously, I found my anxiety level dropping to nearly nothing. When I consider dropping out of the dating game, feel relieved. Granted, I am lonely and I greatly miss having a partner and companion. But the longer I’m alone, the easier it is to be alone. I do consider the fact that I may never have sex again, never be loved by someone again, but it just seems like I have outlived my datability.
One last point— I do believe there has to be a minimum of physical attraction to successfully date someone. Many women in their 60’s are obese now, or simply haven’t taken care of themselves, and that makes wanting to date in my own age bracket difficult. At the same time, I am not hitting on young women.
Making the decision to stop trying to date is relieving me of all my anxieties when I go out. I don’t blame women for my troubles and if I meet the right woman somewhere, somehow, I’m not against trying again. At the same time, I feel like I’ve been somewhat delusional, and now I’m being realistic. I went out singing last night and was totally relaxed, not even considering approaching anyone, just enjoying my own company and my craft beer. That will be my life now for a while, and I’m content.

My wife and I just bought our first home, a 1933 colonial with plaster and lath walls. House is in great shape but I have been racking my brain on the best methods to use when going forward on hanging things/aesthetic improvements.
One thing I definitely plan on doing is putting up crown and wainscotting in a lot of different rooms, not the pre made panels, but chair rail and picture moulding. Likely going to do full height in the upstairs hallway, 1/3 height in my office, potentially full height in the primary bedroom, etc. so I am going to be shooting a lot of nails.
I am on the fence between these two stud finders:
Franklin M210 ($63.00)
Bosch D-Tect 120 ($250)
The Bosch has a few more features and apparently scans deeper but not sure if it is worth the extra nearly $200, it also seems to get more conflicting reviews. I know (if I am lucky and there is no wire mesh) that I will be able to use the stud finder to locate studs and live wires, but I am mostly worried about identifying piping as well, as the stud finder may pick it up but of course won't reflect the difference between a stud. We have oil and steam heater and radiators in every single room so I assume there is piping going all over the place.
I assume I should be able to use a rare earth magnet to cross check the stud finder to help determine if what is being picked up is a stud or a pipe as the magnet would stick to the stud nails and not the pipe but I am still a little worried. Should I pick up this camera scope to use as well to be extra sure? I could always drill where I plan to put the chair rail to eliminate the need of too much patching.
Please provide me with any recommendations you may have in terms of tools, means and methods, or anything else. I would greatly appreciate figuring out the best method so when we move in 2 weeks from now I have a game plan.
And yes, I will be checking the stud finder on myself first to give it the first true calibration.

hey all! so normally my cat dahlia will sleep with me in my bed and she absolutely LOVESSS looking out the window that’s at the foot of my bed. this has happened since she was born. but the last 2 nights she’s been in her brand new cat tree (this may be important). suddenly today when i woke up for work she seemed to be behaving strangely, so i picked her up for a quick pre-work cuddle in case i had just not been giving her enough attention (she’s the type to let you know) and she ripped me to shreds just to get out of my arms!! absolutely refuses to get on the bed and the window is even worse. i’ve tried coaxing her with treats and some “exposure therapy” (i hold her and pet her and assure her while she stands petrified on the bed) but i don’t want to make her hate it even worse. this is a COMPLETE 180 from her usual self, she’s usually fighting to get me off her so she can go to her window, not the other way around :(
when i put together the cat tree i had to clear out a corner of my room that had been untouched for a while and moved some plushies to the side of my bed (near the window). that corner had previously housed a not-neutered tomcat about 6 years ago, so my working theory is his spray/smell is still on the items from that corner that are now being housed on the bed and by the window. but how do i make it where she’s comfortable to come back? there’s no physical smell to any of it but there’s no way things can be put back where they were originally, so i’m just at a loss. i don’t want her to lose her favourite thing and i don’t want to lose my cuddle buddy :(

Disregarded Entities have very little support documentation with the IRS in general since revenue is rolled into the parent.
In a complex tax scenario would love folks take.
A company (Cat corp)was purchased by a client (stock sale) from a very large publicly traded company (let’s call it Borg corp). Borg corp had previously bought that company alongside a few others in a collective holdings (Let’s call it Anz corp) in 2019. Anz corp bought the original company (cat corp) bought in 2012. So we’re talking lots of mergers, bankruptcy and more between all of them. Messy.
Cat company was a company that made a lot of money (millions) with almost 80 percent profit margins and came crashing in 2014 and sold to a particular young individual as a shell in 2020 for almost nothing. Borg company made billions so it was like letting go of their catering budget. long story short this young individual had convinced Borg corp to allow him to do a management buyout.

1. Anz corp buys Cat corp in 2012
2. Anz corp buys more companies through 2017 and files chapter 11
3. Borg corp comes buys Anz corp and subsidiary and in sells Cat corp remains to the individual
4. Individual was a manager at Cat corp who did a management buy out but had a lot of pressure to do a stock sale
5. Client turns Cat corp to an S corp from a disregarded entity under their holding company Dog corp
6. By 2023 Anz corp is dissolved completely / Borg corp continues to be a massive company public ally traded company

Client knows Cat corp was treated as a disregarded entity since inception in 2012 and was part of the original acquisition and knew all the folks doing the transactions well.
He gets entity records finally from the IRS having had some doubts and could not do it prior to sale. Bad move to not do this prior to sale yes but those were the circumstances offered.
Finds no tax filings 1120 filed ever since revenue was attributed under Anz corp and then under Borg corp.
However he finds in 2014 Anz corp has moved the company Cat corp under a related Anz corp company and sees Payroll 941 payments being made on the entity in a timely manner. So payroll started being paid during 2014-2018 according to fax transcript from the IRS under Cat corp.
2012-2013 simply says requested data not found.
These 941 payments stop in the 2019 acquisition by Borg corp - it’s around 400k / year we are talking . we don’t know why and can’t get an answer from them now but they seem to be good and proper record keepers.
The Problem
long story short - Dog corp wants to think about closing the company Cat corp or sell it in the future and don’t want any future issues with the IRS process. To close an EIN the IRS would have to see all returns filed. Since it’s disregarded but payroll was made in some years under particular ownership be not under another structure - how would the client be able to do anything if the IRS asked them to file. How do you even know there is an issue? On paper it seems maybe there was some reason to have payroll under the entity while it was under particular ownership structure. different corps employ different strategies and the new owners aren’t privey to those details. New owners knows Borg corp exec well enough but as a publically traded company you can imagine how difficult it is to get them to help. What if the IRS say they are missing payroll or even worse should have filed a return for 2012 and 2013 - extremely high revenue years?
How would they be able to provide anything as Anz corp doesn’t exist nor have records that far back. What do people do when it’s impossible to reconstruct tax filing information due to it being decades old from some long gone entity. client has been up to date with filings since acquisition.
I’m talking hypotheticals here since the individuals here are extremely concerned about the EIN closing process.
