2024.05.16 21:54 lsthmus 16 years ago, to this date, Aarushi Talwar and Hemraj Banjade were murdered. Who did it?

Today marks the anniversary of the murders of Aarushi Talwar and Hemraj Banjade.
Aarushi was discovered in her bed with a fatal skull fracture and a slit throat. A few days after the decomposing body of Hemraj, the household servant, was found concealed on the rooftop terrace. Aarushi's parents Rajesh and Nupur Talwar claimed innocence and were acquitted of murder charges less that 4 years into their sentence. The other known suspects, were never convicted due to lack of evidence.
The investigation was bungled from the start by lazy and inexperienced police work. A scene was not established at the earliest opportunity, and vital forensic samples were not recovered.
There are multiple allegations of tampering with the crime scene by the parents of Aarushi, whom invited over neighbours and family in the immediate aftermath of the supposed discovery of Aarushi's murder. In addition there were multiple calls between the parents and their relative whom was ex-police in the days following the murder and accusations that were influencing the post-mortem report.
Questions
There were multiple law enforcement teams investigating the murders at different points. Their conclusions pointed to the parents or associates of Hemraj. The Noida police, UP police, and CBI all investigated.
There are a lot of theories as to what happened. I have found myself reflecting on certain facts/points rather than formulating a brand new theory.
16 years in there is likely to never be any fresh evidence to examine.

Does anyone with some experience with data curation/organization have thoughts on which of these two folder approaches tend to work out best.
  1. Top Folder's by Area/Space (Sub-folders in parentheses): Work (Company X, Side-hustle Z, ect.), Hobbies (Music, Video Games, Board Games), Health (Fitness, Recipes), Home (Finances, Chores). And then within those various sub-folders would be folders for various notes, articles related to them, PDFs related to them ect.
  2. Top Folder's by Type (Sub-folders in parentheses): Sources (Articles, Books, Podcasts), Notes (Work, Hobbies, Health, Home), Tasks (Work, Hobbies, Health, Home), Projects (Work, Hobbies, Health, Home), Media (Photos, Videos, Music)
There seems to be some redundancy in both approaches, but I am trying to get a plan together as I am about to setup my first home NAS, and want to get all my files re-organized on there that are currently spread out around different devices, cloud services, ect.
It feels like with approach #1 you have nice separation of area of life, but then you need subfolders for the various Media, Projects, Sources, Notes for those areas. Where in approach #2 you have nice separation by file type/content, but you need subfolders for every area of life.
I do plan on downloading and utilizing Obsidian for the first time ever. And I am sure I will end up leveraging tags and links in some way within Obsidian, but that will not transfer to the storage of my non-Obsidian files in my NAS. So it seems nailing down a folder structure first would be key.
Slightly unrelated, but I think part of my plan will be converted all my Microsoft Word and Google Docs to Markdown files within Obsidian so that they are better preserved (more agnostic file type with markdown).
Any thoughts/experience in this area would be appreciated.

2024.05.16 21:36 ProjectCaffeinePills [osu!std and osu!mania] Ivaxa Possible Cheating and Multiaccounting

Ivaxa has been well known for his high BPM stream plays along with his obscene singletapping skills over the course of a few weeks at the time of writing. His most notable achievement is his S rank on Deceit [pishi’s Extra] +DT (Score) (Replay). However there is some unusual behavior that Ivaxa has that should be looked into. This thread will look into quite a few cases of these weird findings.
As of the current date, May 16th, 2024, we have collected enough information to submit our public review of Ivaxa’s activity. We are asking the osu! staff and other independent researchers to validate our information and proof-check every single aspect of it. If our findings would be proven to be incorrect and/or not substantial - that's completely fine. Our goal is not to just blindly accuse but to establish the truth.
This document contains currently collected information about Ivaxa, his scores, profiles, and potential connections to other “alt” accounts in the game. We, as an independent team, are trying to establish the legitimacy or lack thereof of said player.
As always, harassment of any of the people mentioned/involved in the report is inappropriate. Please be civil when partaking in the discussion.
Replays, and VODs can be found in a google drive at the end of the thread so you can investigate and see moments listed in the thread yourself.
But first, here's a few things to consider:
  1. Ivaxa’s mouse is a HyperX Pulsefire Haste 2, he allegedly plays on 800 DPI with a 0.62x sens multiplier on osu!. The only reason as to why it’s alleged is because of his recent streams, his sensitivity seems higher than it actually is.
  2. He plays with a Sayu O3C keypad that runs at 8000hz (Peripheral information can be found from Ivaxa’s Twitch channel.)
  3. He is able to singletap 191 BPM streams consistently.
  4. Ivaxa used to be a DT aim player, not much of a stream player until recently.
  5. The player does have skill, however he may be using some sort of outside assistance software-wise like aim assist or relax hacks.
  6. All replays in this thread were inspected using Circleguard.
  7. Most of the information down below was conducted in the empirical (perceived) sense, so take all of it with a grain of salt.

Section one: Replays

There are a few moments within Ivaxa’s recent replays that felt unusual or very strange; mostly unusual edge hits, but also weird UR bar behavior.
The Deceit +DT
There are a few things to mention about this score. The first is an unusual UR bar behavior from 91076 ms (~1 minute 31 seconds) to 93123 ms (~1 minute 33 seconds). The UR bar looks like this in the end. This type of UR bar behavior is often found in 125 hz keyboards with a map that has a BPM that is a multiple of 125 (125 BPM, 250 BPM, 375 BPM, etc.). However, Ivaxa doesn’t use a 125hz keyboard or keypad, he uses one that is rated at 8000hz. This is rather unusual since this type of UR is only found in this section of the map only. Also, if he were to play on a 125hz keyboard/keypad, the type of UR that was shown above would be all over the map since the Deceit with DT is mostly 375 BPM.
The second would be his aim, particularly at around 1885 combo, his cursor shakes at an abnormal magnitude from the rest of the map. This shake can be caused by nerves, tapping strain of the left hand, or a mix of both. But, Ivaxa’s alleged sensitivity is so low that the shake that has been shown in the replay is either really hard to do or impossible.
Gotta go Fast +DTSO
This score has one thing that is quite suspicious. at 47582 ms (~48 seconds) into the map, an awkward edge hit is found where he over-aimed and seemingly snapped back to the circle. This kind of edge hit is something that a normal osu! player wouldn’t be able to hit entirely, especially at the speed at which the map is being played at. Another edge hit can be found in the same map at 28852 ms (~29 seconds), where the cursor doesn’t naturally curve at the end, instead snapping to the edge of the circle. Both cases may allude to the usage of some sort of aim assist.
Metal Crusher +DT
There are two things to note about this score, the first is some unusual cursor movement at the ending section of the map. Ivaxa’s cursor slightly follows the slider at 59128 ms (~59 seconds), and another right after at 60400 ms (~one minute). Movement like this paired with the speed at which the map is being played at just seems unusual/suspicious.
There are also five edge hits within the map, four out of the five edge hits are at the very edge of a circle. The probability of hitting these types of edge hits is rather low, especially when there are four of them in one map.

Sendan Life +DTHD
There is something to be said about some of the 100’s that Ivaxa is hitting. More specifically some 100’s within a few of the maps that have been observed so far are very near the barrier of being a 300 hit regardless of whether the note is early or late (https://i.imgur.com/cxFSdjf.png, https://i.imgur.com/bHLurZn.png). The sayu is precise enough to actually hit these types of 100’s, however it feels like these have occurred too often, so much so that this play has half of the 100’s in the map has these “edge 100’s,” for a lack of a better term. There are also two 100’s (100 #1 and 100 #2) that have been hit at exactly the same lateness/timing.

Section Two: Twitch Streams

The two pieces of information down below are more focused on his single tapping skills, along with some weird/suspicious moments during his stream.
Stream title: #18 #2PL we back boys PL/ENG
At 15:37, Ivaxa is seen to be double tapping 270 bpm streams even though he S ranked the Deceit with DT around three days after said stream (390 BPM). At 49:15 mins of the same stream: he is seen to singletap 191 BPM streams, probably because he was warm when playing at his point.
Stream title: #17 #2PL Yomi yori 3 mod pass happening right now wtf,
On March 31st, 2024, on the VOD where he S ranked The Deceit +DT, at the end of the VOD at 2:58:42 Ivaxa is seen singletapping a 390 BPM burst. After which he paused the game and blamed Steam notifications. Despite the bottom half of his monitor being visible on stream through the webcam, where no steam notifications or pop-ups are visible, he then opened Steam to "change notifications settings.'' After allegedly changing the settings, his cursor trajectory on the visible parts of the monitor on stream tells us that he moved the mouse from the top most left corner, while usually Steam settings are located in a pop-up window at the center of the screen. Afterwards His stream allegedly "crashed."

On April 7th, 2024 Ivaxa showed on the osu! Game discord server that he is able to singletap 191 BPM (better picture of the graph), however six days later after the message, on his stream on April 13th, 2024 Ivaxa showed that he was able to singletap PoNo’s Yomi Yori 220 BPM streams at the end. This type of BPM jump in such a short amount of time can only be reasoned with by hardware abuse via rapid trigger. Either that, or some sort of relax hack that assists the player in tapping.

Section Three: Multiaccounting

There are many pieces of information that suspect that Ivaxa is multiaccounting, however there is currently no concrete evidence on whether or not he is indeed multiaccounting. Please keep this in mind when reading this section of the thread.
The Mulitiaccount & Play Count Graphs
Pipecat is the suspected multiaccount. First of all, both Pipecat and Ivaxa are placed 1st and 2nd on the osu!mania leaderboard in Lower Silesian Voivodeship, Poland (This is done by using osu! subdivide nations). Both play count graphs also seem to compensate for each other as of 2024, April 4th (the graph for Ivaxa has been warped in order to have a better visualization).
Time-pp Scatter Chart & Best Performances
The same thing happens with their Best Performance Time-pp Scatter Chart from ameobea/osu!track (Pipecat's Mania Chart and Ivaxa's Mania Chart non warped). Both graphs seem to compensate for each other, especially at around the month of March, as of 2024, April 5th (again, Ivaxa's chart has been warped for better visualization of score submissions).
Speaking of pp, both accounts have similar maps in their best performances list (Ivaxa is on the left, Pipecat on the right). If you want to see more, just check their mania profiles.
This may ask the reason as to why Ivaxa hasn’t played any vsrg (Vertical Scrolling Rhythm Game), and yet his performance in mania is abnormal for his time played. As seen from the play count graph from above, Ivaxa would’ve most likely played mania first on the Pipecat account, and then proceeded to play mania again on the other.
Names/Naming Scheme & Last Seen
Their naming scheme can also be taken into account as, Ivaxa’s name was inspired by Vaxei, and Pipecat was inspired by Whitecat.
It is also worth noting that Ivaxa and Pipecat’s Last Seen times are near each other, being more or less one hour apart from each other.

Section Four: Misc, additional “facts,” and Speculations

This section is dedicated to the additional miscellaneous information and our speculation formed from the data we discovered during the process of the investigation. These entries are not verbosely written due to us not finding enough evidence/information to make them included in the previous sections.
For ease of understanding the entry's level of absurdity, we marked them with color tags. The marking process for each entry was completely subjective so even the most absurd ones could be a potential aid for independent investigators/osu! staff as an additional lead where we “hit the wall.”

Pure Speculation: Completely speculative fact/information
Fact: BayOfEvil (Ivaxa’s old username), does have an osu!report on it, although the report isn’t very helpful. One of the thread's replies includes a Discord recording with Ivaxa playing as “proof” of him being legit. This should be investigated further (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cVQDdw1SSLs).
Fact: Ivaxa’s Mania score on Ne uchi +DT was set 22 days after his no-mod score.
Fact: In Pipecat's osu profile a discord server can be found (https://discord.gg/jkMydV3PTB), upon searching "Ivaxa" the only two mentions of the name is from the user Pipecat (https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/577365869949354025/1225631393820708914/image0.jpg?ex=6621d52f&is=660f602f&hm=e3589cb93e9ffb2b7c0ef7ffbdedcc3b09df919a7082d11468035ff4f4f6e65e&).

Pure Speculation: During a congregation, several people have noted/proposed that Ivaxa may or may not be using three keys in order to stream higher bpm’s, using a software that alternates the middle key (since he plays ring-index) between key 1 and key 2 to insure that nothing is suspicious with his tapping count.
Pure Speculation: We condone an anonymous survey inside the mania community, including some of the top players, regular 4k, 7k, and 8k players, and some tournament organizers. Most of the participants agree that Ivaxa’s progression and improvement curve is abnormal.
Pure Speculation: Stream title: #18 #2PL we back boys PL/ENG, within the first hour of the stream, Ivaxa is seen to have completely lost his aim (44:46 min), even though he nearly fc'd Brazil on Fiery's Extreme with HDHRDT ten days prior to the stream. Although this evidence may not be as substantial as the others because of retry spamming Brazil.
Pure Speculation: The earliest known screenshots of Ivaxa grinding The Deceit Pishi's Extra, was on 2023, December 22nd (https://twitter.com/Ivaxaosu/status/1738245663631024453, https://twitter.com/Ivaxaosu/status/1738268599129632811, He later achieved an S rank on 2024, March 31st. He would've grinded the map for the past 3 months, however his play count seems to not reflect the grind, only having 237 plays as of 2024, April 5th (https://i.imgur.com/dg4HdSl.png).

Pure Speculation: Pipecat is recording videos on his Youtube channel using both a PC and a Laptop. The PC is running Windows 11, and the Laptop is running Windows 10. This Could be a potential lead.

Verdict

Ivaxa’s single tapping speed is very abnormal, especially considering that he was able to stream 220 BPM in just six days, starting from 191 BPM, all singletapped. His aim on some maps feels weird, and some edge hits are questionable in terms of legitimacy. The incident on his stream on March 31st of this year also felt suspicious and weirdly timed, as if he was covering something up. And Pipecat’s graphs line up in such a way that it seemingly compensated for Ivaxa’s play count, and pp-scatter chart. From the information that was gathered about Ivaxa, there is a likelihood that the player is cheating, via aim assist, partial relax, or a mix of both.
It is suggested/encouraged that you look into this yourself.

For Ivaxa stream mp4’s, each “part” is in one hour segments (because untwitch). So part 1 would be the first hour of a stream, part 2 would be the second hour of a stream, etc. There are some parts where it didn’t download the full hour, so be aware of that.
We’ve also included one of the “VOD analyzer” test result files, which includes cursor positions from an analyzed stream segment (#11 #2PL 1.3k pp achieved). It was a completely custom-coded solution that analyzed the video frame by frame but it wasn’t used during the investigation, so we are unsure about the accuracy of the cursor detection.

I prefer my Shiren more classically Roguelike (Like 2) so I was poking around here to get a sense of whether people liked Shiren 6 since I don't trust the general game media to have their tastes honed well enough for me to trust their reviews. I found it getting a bit of a mixed reception here so I decided to see if my one trusted source for all things Shiren, John Harris, had weighed in. I'm posting this to help people who are looking for the same information.

#Shiren 6 has been very enjoyable for me. It's been fairly easy for me mostly, but only because I'm a veteran of the #MysteryDungeon by now. I'm in the final megadungeon now, and it's pretty hard, and I'm loving it.
Shiren 6 has been a lot more subdued in its features over Shiren 5. Shiren 5 feels like it was meant to be a kitchen sink game, with nearly every feature. For example, it has both Revive Grass _and_ Undo Grass, which basically do the same thing. Shiren 6 pares down the features a lot. It doesn't even have Escape Scrolls! When you play the game of Mystery Dungeons, either you win or you die. Probably die.

2024.05.16 21:27 Snitch5040 Took a chance on a Tacoma I’ve never driven. Here’s how it turned out.

I posted last week about a Tacoma that I wanted, but could not find the time to go see.
Pulled the trigger at 23K list price / 26K out the door. 2016 Limited 4x4 - 135K miles with no rust. It also included (most) of the TRD options added from the factory. Mag Gray w/ Brown leather interior. 4th Florida owner with great records.
Dealer would not budge on price (it was under KBB) so I worked out a loan I was content with. Negotiations were friendly, but I continually reminded them how much I was trusting them to buy a truck that I’d never seen. They pushed extremely hard for a warranty, but I’m not a moron so I passed.
Unfortunately, I learned that their return policy was for “dealer credit” - which is essentially worthless to me. If they sold me a bad truck, why would I return? I knew I’d be stuck with this truck no matter what.
I asked that they start the deal off with a good faith gesture, and bring the truck to home. They reluctantly agreed. (100 mile drive)
I signed the final papers in my driveway and took her for a test drive yesterday.
Mechanically, the truck is fantastic. Drives flawlessly! Thrilled that it runs like new. Phew.
The interior is an 8/10. Plenty of tiny scratches and scuffs you’d expect on an 8 year old truck. No big deal. 135K miles isn’t nothing.
Then there’s the exterior… eh. I was underwhelmed. Here are my gripes, that were either never mentioned, or couldn’t be clearly seen in photos.
All 4 door handles are chipping, bad. They all need to be removed and wrapped, or repainted. No idea how these were not more obvious in photos.
Tonneau cover is completely baked by the sun, and almost worthless. The rubber seals at the tri-fold seams are melted and crusty. Touching it leaves roofing tar on your hands. It’s a 75lb piece of garbage.
The exterior badges were plasti-dipped… maybe 3 years ago? They’re clearly peeling and need to be redone.
Multiple interior LED lights are out. Only 1 overhead light works. Most others all have dead bulbs. (Possible fuse issue but haven’t checked.)
One tag light is burned out.
Mismatched tire brands. Goodyear on the left, Kumho on the right.
No floor mats. Literally… bare carpet. This was covered by paper dealer mats in the photos.
To be fair, if these are the worst of my problems, I made out like a bandit. I’m mostly annoyed at the lack of “due diligence” from the dealer. These are not hard fixes or even deal breakers… it’s just a stack of annoying problems that are now my problems.
Swapping bulbs, tossing the tonneau cover, wrapping the handles, and ordering some floor mats on Amazon will set me back a couple hundreds bucks, max. But it’ll end up being a day’s worth of work, and I most certainly could have had the dealer do all of these things if I was there in person. BUT. I wasn’t, and that’s on me. Lesson learned.
Ultimately still feels like a good buy. Not optimal, but I did not get screwed.
TLDR: Mechanically sound. Complaints are all minor. Door handles need paint, interior lights are out, tonneau cover is busted, and floor mats were missing. If I went in person, I could have easily negotiated these fixes. But because I bought remotely, I have to eat the inconveniences. I did not get screwed by any means; just slightly annoyed. Ultimately worth it.

i was so depressed this morning. my android phone just got stolen. immediately upon noticing, i straight up get on my computer to locate it. the result showed that it was last turned about 2 hours ago around 25 km from where i left it. using the samsung smart things, i then set a phone lock for when it was turned on again. a lot of google searches showed that this was an effective method for locating a misplaced device however i don't wanna keep my hopes high since it was taken intentionally. and the thief won't be likely openning it for long each time. i then remembered that i have my microsoft account logged into that phone so i checked my ms account and it contains all my recent photos taken by the camera. i had a little hope that if the thief tried to sell it, the buyer will most likely try the clearness of the camera and the image will immediately be uploaded to the cloud for me to view. my only worry now is that the thief might have reformatted my phone and the ms account have logged out as well.

LONDON? WTF?
(I don’t know if anyone care about this story but as part of my grieving process I needed to get it out)
It started as a joke. I work at a sports bar in Boston and we got on the topic of how going to a pool party in the end zone of your stadium is on my bucket list. So many people were unaware this even existed. I showed them photos and they were floored.
A week later the home/away schedule was released, and I see the Patriots were playing you guys on your turf. During a spirited day drinking session on Marathon Monday I bring it up again. “lol, what if we all went to Jacksonville? That would be a riot” Everyone is “totally down”. I take it to Facebook the next day and poll my people, just out of sheer curiosity, to see who would be interested in a scheme like this. The response was overwhelming.
Few days later I’m poking around on the Jags website, just to get a feel for what’s involved in this process. I assume it’s all still a pipe dream, that people book this kind of stuff years in advance. I fill out a form for “more information” and less than 12 hours later I have the most wonderful and helpful woman from the Jags ticket office calling me to see how she can get us in that pool TODAY. Honestly, she seemed amused at the idea of an entire end zone filled with jabronis from Boston.
Turns out, the process is extremely approachable and doable, despite the initially frightening price tag of $17k. All of a sudden, a few days later, myself and a few other bartenders have pooled some money together and put down a (fully refundable) deposit for the pool section of the Patriots/Jags game, date TBD.
That was a month ago, and it has almost literally been the only thing people have been talking about since. I had a list of over 60 people interested (pool apparently has a cap of 55). People I didn’t know were contacting me to get involved. Air bnb’s were being researched. Dunkin Donuts track suits and Patriots bikinis were in our virtual shopping carts. Sign ideas were being floated around (“I flew 1000 miles to see Mac Jones disappoint someone else”). We were so ready to show up and be everything you’d expect from a group of (lovable) assholes from Boston.
The first mini-let down was the leak it was going to be a Monday night game. I had to admit that in my head, this was a 1pm Sunday event, sun shining down on us. But hey, an October night in Florida ain’t half bad, especially considering the weather we are used to, so we decide to not let it dampen our spirit.
Which brings us to yesterday. Fuckin London. I cannot tell you the disappointment that engulfed us as we realized that this epic party, something sure to go down in history in our little corner of the world, a party that seemed too fun and too good to be true, was. We are all now in mourning of the party that could have been.
Jacksonville, we will be coming for you. Maybe not this year, and maybe not next, but one year someone will hear deafening cheers from a group of people in the pool who sound like they walked off the set of The Departed, and you’ll know we finally did it.

I don't know if anyone else is experiencing this because I don't know how to describe the issue. Picking a person in the Wallpaper preference pane just shows a stock landscape background.
For detail, in Sonoma, the Wallpaper preference pane has the following sections:
I'm trying to select [Individuals], in my case it's my partner. I have her tagged correctly in photos and the People view in there shows photos of her I want for my wallpaper. It even shows all these photos correctly in the Wallpaper pane.
However, when I click the shuffle option, I just get the same stock image of a landscape from the "Shuffle Aerials" section.
Why? Did I do something wrong? Is there any way to reset this part of the menu?

TORONTO, May 16, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- McEwen Copper Inc McEwen Mining Inc. (NYSE: MUX) (TSX: MUX), is pleased to provide the assay results from the currently completed drill season at the Los Azules project in Argentina. The prime objectives of this season’s infill drilling campaign were: 1. to confirm the size and grade of the deposit as compared to the 2023 PEA estimate and upgrade the resource categories for the upcoming feasibility study; 2. test for extensions of mineralization beyond the current pit shell; and 3. explore our large property package for other mineralized areas.
Based on the assay results received to date, our first objective appears to have been met. Initial interpretation suggests that our infill drilling will result in an increase in Measured and Indicated resources and an overall mineral inventory within 5% of the PEA estimate. Testing for extensions beyond the planned pit has successfully encountered mineralization both to the north and to the south. Primary mineralization was intercepted (202.0 m of 0.20% Cu) over 400 meters north of last year’s deep exploration hole, confirming its extension at depth a significant distance to the north. Exploration south of the planned pit has intercepted the principal mineralized intrusive more than 700 meters south of previous drill intercepts and indicates that prospective intrusives continue well to the south of the pit.
Exploration over our property has produced an intriguing target, late in the season. Initial results of a concession-wide regional mapping and sampling campaign have identified strong evidence of a large porphyry system 3 kilometers east of the Los Azules deposit. Porphyry-style veining and quartz vein stockworks with copper oxide mineralization have been recognized within this new target, with assay results pending.
Additionally, this news release covers all results from the first half of the 2023-24 drill program (see Table 1 ). Final results will be published when all the geochemistry is completed.
The objective of the 2023-2024 drilling campaign is to collect all the necessary information to support the completion of the Los Azules Feasibility Study by early 2025. This information continues to arrive and will be processed in the following months. Resource drilling is focused on converting all the mineralization to be mined in the first 5 years to Measured and Indicated resource, to increase confidence during the payback period. Geotechnical, metallurgical, hydrogeological, exploration, and condemnation drilling are also being performed.
Highlights
  • Hole AZ23292 returned an intercept of 349 m of 0.77% Cu (approx. true thickness). The Enriched zone portion of this hole extends over 346 meters and includes an intercept of 232 m of 0.86% Cu
  • Hole AZ23277 has an intercept of 382.5 m of 0.54% Cu (approx. true thickness). The Enriched zone portion of this hole extends over 306 meters with a grade of 0.61% Cu and includes an intercept of 74 m of 0.86% Cu
Results
Results are summarized in two schematic cross sections ( Figures 2 and 3 ), which include simplified interpretations of the Overburden, Leached, Enriched and Primary zones. The Enriched mineral zone refers to the enrichment of a copper deposit by precipitation-derived water circulation that carries copper minerals downward through the rocks to accumulate in a thick, often horizontal “blanket”. Immediately above the Enriched zone is the Leached zone, from which copper was removed and transported. Weathering and oxidation often aid in this process. Below the Enriched zone, the Primary (or Hypogene) zone is formed by ascending copper-rich fluids having a much deeper magmatic origin. The green line on the sections indicates the pit floor of the 30-year pit shell from the 2023 NI 43-101 Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA).
Figure 1 presents a plan view of the location of two sections and the holes reported. Adjacent cross sections are located 50 m apart from each other, starting with the lowest numbered section at the south end of the deposit and progressing to the north.

Growing the Deposit
Exploration hole AZ23241 ( Figure 4 ) intersected a long interval of low-grade mineralization in the Primary Zone ( 202.0 m of 0.20% Cu ) and began to enter higher-grade mineralization at the end of the hole ( 12.0 m of 0.44% Cu ). This hole is located completely outside of the 2023 PEA base case mineable pit shell. This hole is over 400 meters to the north of exploration hole AZ22174, also located outside of the 2023 PEA base case mineable pit shell, which encountered 1,052.0 m of 0.29% Cu including 480 m of 0.42% Cu ( Figure 4 ). These intercepts suggest that primary mineralization continues at depth a significant distance to the north. Exploration drilling south of the deposit has extended the presence of the early mineral porphyry more than 700 meters south of previous drilling and well outside of the southern pit boundary. This porphyry is host for the majority of the mineralization at Los Azules and encountering it a significant distance farther south indicates that the deposit may also continue in this direction. Assays for these holes are pending.
A comprehensive structural model for the deposit has been completed that will provide a better understanding of structural controls on the deposit and aid in future exploration work. Field verification of a previous property-wide structural study using satellite information was carried out in January and has refined the identification of nearby exploration targets.

Indications of Another Porphyry Copper System Nearby
To date, geological mapping and geochemical sampling has been focused primarily near the Los Azules deposit and only covers roughly 40% of our large concession. To address this limitation, a mapping and sampling campaign was begun in December, to obtain 100% coverage of our concession.
Early results of this work have identified a large new porphyry system 3 kilometers east of Los Azules. Preliminary work has identified porphyry-style veining and alteration, indicating the presence of a porphyry copper system. Areas with strong quartz vein stockworking and the recognition of copper oxides at surface add to the prospectiveness of this newly identified area ( Figure 5 ).

Technical information
The technical content of this press release has been reviewed and approved by Darren King, Director of Exploration of McEwen Copper, who serves as the qualified person (QP) under the definitions of National Instrument 43-101.
All samples were collected in accordance with generally accepted industry standards. Drill core samples, usually taken at 2 m intervals, were split and submitted to the Alex Stewart International laboratory located in the Province of Mendoza, Argentina, for the following assays: gold determination using fire fusion assay and an atomic absorption spectroscopy finish (Au4-30); a 39 multi-element suite using ICP-OES analysis (ICP-AR 39); copper content determination using a sequential copper analysis (Cu-Sequential LMC-140). An additional 19-element analysis (ICP-ORE) was performed for samples with high sulphide content and that exceeded the limits of the ICP-OES analysis.
The company conducts a Quality Assurance/Quality Control program in accordance with NI 43-101 and industry best practices using a combination of standards and blanks on approximately one out of every 25 samples. Results are monitored as final certificates are received, and any re-assay requests are sent back immediately. Pulp and preparation sample analyses are also performed as part of the QAQC process. Approximately 5% of the sample pulps are sent to a secondary laboratory for control purposes. In addition, the laboratory performs its own internal QAQC checks, with results made available on certificates for Company review.

ABOUT MCEWEN COPPER
McEwen Copper is a well-funded, private company which owns 100% of the large, advanced-stage Los Azules copper project, located in the San Juan province, Argentina. McEwen Copper is a 47.7%-owned private subsidiary of McEwen Mining, which has the ticker MUX on NYSE and TSX.

2024.05.16 20:32 RaduTek Field of view in video mode is narrower than in photo mode

Field of view in video mode is narrower than in photo mode
Using the base model S23, 128 GB.
While setting up my phone on a tripod for a close up video, I've noticed that the field of view is narrower in video mode, when compared to photo mode, on the same lens and zoom.
This applies to all available resolutions (from HD to 8K, both 30 and 60 FPS - if available). I'm mentioning this, as on my previous Samsung device (Galaxy A52s 5G) the field of view in video mode was even narrower on FHD 60.
Since the sensor's native aspect ratio is 4:3 I do expect to see cropping on the vertical axis to get a 16:9 image, but I don't understand why the image is also cropped in on the horizontal axis.
I wasn't able to find anyone else talking about this behavior, so I'm wondering if there's any legitimate reason for it.

The former site of the organic restaurant Hearty Eats at 24 Bridge St. is being transformed into Hotfire Bar and Grill, serving burgers, an eclectic array of sandwiches and comfort foods like macaroni and cheese and chicken tenders.
Chad Flasinski, who previously worked as the executive chef at Zeke’s Bar & Grill in Bernardston, organizing large events, dinner services and to-go lunch boxes, purchased the Hearty Eats location after it closed on March 4, to start his own restaurant and “hammer out [his] vision.”
With plans to open Memorial Day weekend, Flasinski said he envisions Hotfire Bar and Grill to be a “fast casual” environment in which customers can order their meals either at the counter or through a mobile app, have a seat and grab their orders either for takeout or dining in.
“Shelburne is such a beautiful area [and] there are so many places to be that I expect people to trickle in and circle out,” he said. “It’ll also be the type of place where couples that are looking to have a little day trip and come up and grab a bite to eat and sit down, and maybe to check the score of a game or have a cocktail, they’ll be able to do that here and then go on their day.”
Flasinski described the restaurant’s atmosphere as having a clean, modern “soft Panera” feel, decorated with a full subway tile wall behind the bar along with canvas art and a photo wall of the Bridge of Flowers. The menu, Flasinski said, will feature homemade crinkle-cut fries and chips, alongside Reuben, Cubano, and French dip sandwiches. Hotfire Bar and Grill will also serve a smashburger and, for vegetarians, a bean burger.
“There’ll be a little bit of something for everybody,” Flasinski said. “I’ll have things that are gluten free and I’ll have things that are vegetarian, but realistically, my focus is going to be more of a carnivore place.”
As a Shelburne Falls resident, Flasinski said he looks forward to making his mark on the community, creating a space where residents can get together over a meal and some conversation.
“I love food just about as much as the next chef, and I could talk food and sports for hours. I have a wonderful family, I live here in town. I’m just excited to be a part of this community in particular. I think Shelburne Falls, as a community, supports their businesses probably better than anybody else,” Flasinski said. “I really can’t say enough about this town. I just hope to be a part of it and get a chance to show Shelburne how much I enjoy being here.”

Lost thumbnails and photo viewing
Hi, Just wanted to seek some help as I really do not want to do the facial regonision again.
Just a quick background to set the issue. I am running unraid 6.12.10 and on the stable version of photoprism. This was working fine. I wanted to convert my cache drive from btfs to zfs. The short story is it work but I lost all my dockers. Luckily I do have a backup of the appdata folder. I have reinstalled the application and restored the appdata. I was able to login but the following is shown. I have checked and my photos is still viewable in the share folder. I have confirmed the storage path in the contrain is pointing to the share. Photo of the missing thumbs / photos attached.
No thumbnail / photo when click on view.
