A summary of the main criteria (and some observations) I'm using as I update this list:
- 1st: Good Consistency >> Peak and Floor (the main purpose of this list is to rank the good individual consistency of players, whether in games with his teammates, random people, or solo. What I mean by good consistency is a set of several factors that tell me, in my view, whether what the player is doing is normal or is he reaching his ceiling/floor, such as making fewer mistakes, being more confident in plays, having a balance between individual plays and team plays, not straying too far from his defined playstyle, all this over several games, among other factors)
- 2nd: Majors/Other Lans > Online (It's obvious that any RLCS player's goal is to win Majors and finish far in Worlds, so presumably they will put more focus and effort into these events than anything else, which is why I put the performance that players result in Lans as a priority above online events, in addition to having external factors such as the nervousness of playing at a Lan because of the crowd or other reasons, which might affect the performance and consistency of a player, are also important factors that might change the performance of a player)
- 3rd: Worlds >> Majors/Other Lans (Worlds is like Lans, only with more risk and reward, so every good or bad performance in it will change a player's placement with more weight than any other criteria, and not only will it change at the moment, but if a team or individual players perform excellently at Worlds, their ranking will be harder to drop for some time, even though this can sometimes result in a player who currently doesn't perform as expected to be quite high on the list because they won Worlds or performed well in it, but in my opinion I see that as I assume that the ultimate goal of many players is to win at least one Worlds, many players will put their all into achieving this, so they will be at their best overall performance, thus making me have to put them very high those who have good performance in it. And note that at no point do I specify that I use team result as a factor in changing player ranks, with the exception of winning Worlds. This is because for me an individual player can often be performing well but his team is not, so I try first to see how the players on that team acted as a group and as individuals, impartial to the outcome of that match)
- 4th: 3v3 > 1v1 > 2v2 (As I want to compare players on their individual overall performances, I also use the performance of those who practice the other main game modes, even though they are not official modes in RLCS, 1v1 and 2v2. This may seem unfair, as there are numerous players on the list who do not practice, or are not seen practicing, the other game modes, but in these situations I do two things: first, that player will have some disadvantage because of this on my list, even if he is having more success and results at RLCS 3v3 than a player who practices all modes but has a better current overall than him. Second, I try to either base how that player who only focuses on RLCS would perform in 1s and 2s with the way he plays, which isn't easy but since I just use my opinion without seeing a lot of stat numbers it's not so hard to just imagine, or I just do it as a imaginary balance, if that player is very consistent in 3v3 but doesn't play other modes, that player will have his overall compensated for his performance in that game mode, as it happens with RLCS players who are extremely good at 1s but do not have significant recent results on RLCS)
- 5th: RLCS > Unofficial Events (the same reasons used in the Majors and Worlds criteria can be used here as well, such as the importance of the event having more influence, the material and mental value of good performance, etc.)
- 6th: My Opinion = Our Opinion (peoples comments - and PMs - and my views on the week have the same weight, so everyone is free to say their opinion and we'll debate and make the changes that were decided)
- And lastly, some answers to pertinent questions that I think are easier to answer here than to answer each comment asking these:
- "Why do some players have a number saying how much they have moved up/down, while others don't? Or why does player A who was overtaken in place by player B not have a down arrow?" Well, those of you who have already seen some of these updates may have noticed that there are three ways for a player to move in this list, the most obvious way is for me to manually move the player up or down a defined number of positions, according to what I thought of their performance this week and/or according to your feedback, this form of movement affects other players around player A, but I do not choose to place arrows for these players who have had an indirect change in the list just to avoid filling up the updates with unnecessary symbols, I just want to focus on the player who had a direct position change. The other way for a player A to move on the list is by swapping places with a player B, this is also the way in which players enter the list, because for one player to enter, another must leave, these changes I inform below the list in the "Recent Notes" and I choose not to write the numbers on the player's side on this way again because I don't want to fill the list with information that is not necessarily needed, also other players around these who had their positions swapped are not affected. The last way for a player to change position on the list is as I said in the first way, when a player indirectly changes position because player A next to him has moved up or down, this way I don't include any arrow or number because I don't want to highlight this change so much because it was not caused by opinion or feedback from the week;
- "Why is player A below player B? Player A is clearly better than player B in all aspects, and player A beat player B this week in the regional/major" These questions are good because I can demonstrate the main factor of this list. This is not a power ranking of players, nor is it a sum of victories and positive results of each player and their teams, much less head-to-head results. In this list I try to place the most consistent players in their individual performances, so to be at the top of this list a player does not need his team to win all the time, or that he has the best mechanics of everyone on the list, he just needs to perform well over time, make fewer mistakes than others, and be crucial in important moments. Player A's team is winning a lot and player B's is losing a lot, this also matters of course, player A is mechanically gifted while player B is the "glue" of his team, this also influences the positions, but the main focus is who is being most consistent in their performance over a "long" period of time, using what you have in skills well in solo and cooperative play, no matter who your team is. Who player A faces certainly matters too, otherwise the list would be a little more messy if consistency was the only factor used when including players from less competitive or balanced regions.
- "Why don't you move player A up from 70th to 10th when he's clearly been playing really well these past few weeks?" This question also has something to do with the last question, as the answer would also be consistency, but not just for player A, but for the list as well. My goal was for this list to be a single thing that shaped itself a little each week, with gradual changes that gain pace as player A continues to perform good or bad, which demonstrates the weight of each change. If I changed a few players with such big moves each week, I would be missing out on some of that, and practically be making a new list every week. Even when there are cases where player B was playing reasonably and then the next week he becomes a sub and stops playing for the rest of the season, I can't remove him from the list straight away, as I would be saying according to the criteria that player B suddenly lost all his consistency from one moment to the next, and there is also the chance that player B will leave the sub and return to playing the way he used to.
- "And why 100 players? It would be much easier 20 or 30 at most" For this, I completely agree that making a top 20 would be much more acceptable than what I've been doing, but I also see countless other lists like that, so for me it would be more boring to make a list like that using only 20 or 30 players when you have other more "true" lists like that to see, which have more concrete data than pure opinion. This way of doing I also think it's cool to represent more players, more regions, more teams, and it's much more dynamic with more options of players to choose from. So in short, I only do it this way because I think it's cooler lol.

https://www.reddit.com/RocketLeagueEsports/comments/16gfxlt/our_top_100_rlcs_players_2223_season_last/ ____________________________________
A summary of the main criteria I'm using as I update this list:

A summary of the main criteria I'm using as I update this list:

A summary of the main criteria I'm using as I update this list:
This may seem unfair, as there are numerous players on the list who do not practice, or are not seen practicing the other game modes, but in these situations I do two things: first, that player will have some disadvantage because of this on my list, even if he is having more success and results at RLCS 3v3 than a player who practices all modes but has a better current overall than him. Second, I try to either base how that player who only focuses on RLCS would perform in 1s and 2s with the way he plays, which isn't easy but since I just use my opinion without seeing a lot of stat numbers it's not so hard to just imagine, or I just do it as a imaginary balance - if that player is very consistent in 3v3 but doesn't play other modes, that player will have his overall compensated for his performance in that game mode, as it happens with RLCS players who are extremely good at 1s but do not have significant recent results on RLCS)
- 5th: RLCS > Unofficial Events (the same reasons used in the Majors and Worlds criteria can be used here as well, such as the importance of the event having more influence, the material and mental value of good performance, etc.)
- 6th: My Opinion = Our Opinion (peoples comments - and DMs - and my views on the week have the same weight, so everyone is free to say their opinion and we'll debate and make the changes that were decided)

2024.03.26 18:34 VoidLantadd Copenhagen Major: Player Tier List as Voted by the Subreddit
Last week I posted a voting poll tier list, and the community assigned each player a tier. These are the full results from that.
The score column is fairly simple. A vote in S-tier is worth 6 points, A: 5, B: 4, C: 3, D: 2, & E: 1. These are then divided by the number of votes counted to produce the score. Due to some combination of human error or voting strategies to bring down certain players, there were a number of outliers. I decided to only count the votes from 3 tiers for each player.
If the tier with the most votes is S or A, votes from the S, A, and B tiers are included, while votes from the C, D, and E tiers are excluded. If the tier with the most votes is B, votes from the A, B, and C tiers are included, and votes from the S, D, and E tiers are excluded. If the tier with the most votes is C, votes from the B, C, and D tiers are included, and votes from the S, A, and E tiers are excluded. If the tier with the most votes is D or E, votes from the C, D, and E tiers are included, and votes from the S, A, and B tiers are excluded.
The "Excluded" column in the tables below shows how many votes were not counted in the scoring.
Players are put into the corresponding tiers if their scores round up or down to the numbers mentioned earlier. This is why trk is in A-tier with a score of 5.49. He missed out on S-tier by a handful of votes.
Here are the full tables from the images:
# | Player | S | A | B | C | D | E | Score | Tier | Team | Region | Country | Excluded |

I decided while I had the data to rank the teams based on the players' scores. Obviously nobody actually voted for the teams themselves, I'm just extrapolating. The votes below are all averaged, so KC's S-tier figure is the average of the S-votes received by Rise, Atow and Vatira. The scores are not calculated directly from the numbers here, but simply by averaging the scores of the players as shown in the table above.
# | Team | S | A | B | C | D | E | Score | Tier | Excluded |

And then I went a step further and did the same for all the regions and nationalities represented. I wasn't sure whether to include nationalities with only one player, because you end up with results like Belgium topping the scoreboard by a huge margin soley from Atow, but I decided to just leave everything in.

2024.03.22 20:31 dalcer NA Deep Dive - An Analysis
Here we are. After multiple days of going over other regions we come to one of the 2 most popular regions where we will look into the win and loss quality of each team. As anyone whos been paying attention knows we got a bunch of wildcards in this region with teams missing a top 16 one event and going top 4 another, Teams dominating until they decide to lose in spectacular fashion and a top 2 who are battling for which team is truly the best. I hope youre all excited so lets get into it.
The Analysis 1. G2 (Atomic, Beastmode, Daniel) - W/L: 17-2 - GD: 62-23 (+39) -average of teams they beat: 6.76 -average of teams they lost to: 1 The top dogs so far at least as far as consistency goes. This team had high expectations among some, Major doubts among others and a surprising amount of haters (seriously surprised by how many people are hating on dan). They, much like most top dogs in each region, have faced 4 non playoff teams among their 17 wins with their only 2 losses coming to tourney winners GenG in event 3. They have seen 23 total losses due to playing some teams close and inspiring doubt among some but just like Rule 1 over in mena, they have yet to lose to any team outside the top 2. Although the fantasy matchup of swiss m80 vs G2 hasnt happened yet either
2. GengG (Appjack, Chronic, Fk) - W/L: 15-4 - GD: 53-29 (+24) -average of teams they beat: 7.2 -average of teams they lost to: 3 The top dogs so far in some peoples eyes, This teams expectations were also high and due to them being able to comfortably take every series theyve won besides swiss G2 in event 3, they are seen by some as the number 1 team in the region (I for one think they got a better counter to Eu but time will tell). Their losses have only come to swiss M80 and Event 1 and 2 G2 who are both crazy good teams. Their win quality is slightly worse than G2 but like stated previous every win was comfortable, Even the ones against the team thats perceived as 3rd best by some who we will get to later
3. Luminosity (Cheese, Magicbear, Retals) - W/L: 11-9 - GD: 46-38 (+8) -average of teams they beat: 10.45 -average of teams they lost to: 4.22 A huge dropoff in quality compared to the top 2 by the numbers. Luminosity doesnt make things easy on themselves as they manage to take 2 losses every single swiss, but they manage to make it to bracket every single event as well. You can consider this team on fraud check alert when you look at the numbers as they have only managed wins against 1 playoff team in swiss the entire split and that was when M80 was struggling through swiss. They also have taken losses to 5th, 6th, 7th and most notably a 10th place team. So far theyve won when it matters though.
4. OG (Comm, Jknaps, Noly) - W/L: 8-8 - GD: 16-9 -average of teams they beat: 10 -average of teams they lost to: 5.13 After a painful first event going 0-3. The OG squad would bounce back and make back to back top 4s. Just like Luminosity though they get argued as having an easy schedule. Of the teams they beat in swiss, only one of them was a playoff team and of course they got wins against bracket M80 in event 2 and a weaker LG side in event 3 when LG had their worst event. Crazy enough thier 0-3 run in event 1 would have losses to 2nd, 3rd and 7th place sides and the 2 events they made top 4 in would see their lower quality losses come against 8th and 13th place sides.
T5. Dig (Arsenal, Evoh, Gyro) - W/L: 7-8 - GD: 29-30 (-1) -average of teams they beat: 11 -average of teams they lost to: 4.88 The first of 4 teams tied at 5th. This squad was the one the top 2 were most confident in entering the season as they were the only one G2 and GenG both rated higher than any other team outside the top 2. They would show that quality in event 1 when they went top 4 losing only to 1st and 4th place sides while beating a 7th and 8th place team along with the non playoff teams they beat. They would follow that up by missing bracket in the next 2 events. They would be quite the wildcard though as they would manage a win against a 6th place side in event 3 while also losing to a 10th place side in event 2. Every other loss was to playoff teams and win was to teams finishing below them.
T5. M80 (Ayyjayy, Joreuz, Nass) - W/L: 9-5 - GD: 36-27 (+9) -average of teams they beat: 8 -average of teams they lost to: 4.4 Oh Joreuz, It feels like the curse will forever follow this man around as he continues to be trapped in the swiss into quarters dropoff. He must have angered a powerful creature for that curse. 4 of the 9 wins were against playoff sides with 2 more being to 9th place teams. Every team that beat them in bracket would lose the very next match and the 2 losses they collected in event 3 swiss stage would be to quarterfinalists.
T5. Ssg (Chicago, Hockser, Lj) - W/L: 9-7 - GD: 34-36 (-2) -average of teams they beat: 9.56 -average of teams they lost to: 2 The team that is seen as 3rd best by many and was predicted as the 3rd best team entering the season by every team not named GenG or G2. This team would be unlucky in loss quality as a 2 is much higher in terms of quality than the rest of the teams outside the top 2 and even better than GenGs loss quality. Like clockwork every single event would see them drop 1 series to G2 in swiss and 1 to GenG in bracket. The only outlier is event 3 where it was more their fault since they would also drop a series to the 4th place OG. They would also have decent quality wins in event 1 and 2 with 2 wins against playoff teams in each event. The 3rd event was by far their weakest where they only faced non playoff teams in their wins but 2 unlucky events and 1 that was more their fault would lead to this team missing the major. Also if M80 didnt come over and beat GenG in the first 2 events non of this wouldve happened so you can blame them for this too.
T5. Tsm (Creamz, Hocke, Wahvey) - W/L: 7-7 - GD: 26-28 (-2) -average of teams they beat: 10.71 -average of teams they lost to: 5.86 Them and dig had the easier of the schedules by the numbers in comparison to M80 and Ssg, but this team wouldnt find success until the 3rd event of the season. the first 2 events would see them only beating 13th to 16th place teams while most of their losses came to playoff teams barring one to the 11th place side in event 2. The 3rd event would see them beat 6th to 11th place teams and lose only to G2. This team had a stellar offseason and had some higher expectations coming in but couldnt cut it come crunch time. The Na Tox/Cata type of team it seems. Also sorry to tell you but off season events dont mean as much as some of you want them to in terms of results.
9. Pirates on a boat (andy, aris, fiv3up) - W/L: 8-9 - GD: 32-33 (-1) -average of teams they beat: 12.63 -average of teams they lost to: 4.78 The goat achieves and his minions come in at 9th in the rankings and have solidified themselves as the bracket gatekeepers within NA. This squad has beat non playoff sides and has lost to playoff sides in all but 1 of their losses, with that other loss coming to the 10th place team in event 1. The resident favourites have made a name for themselves.
10. Nrg (Garrett, Mist, Toastie/dreaz) - W/L: 5-8 - GD: 25-28 (-3) -average of teams they beat: 10 -average of teams they lost to: 8.25 The org that was on top for so long is having a dropoff from their previous glory. Their best event was number 2 when they first played with dreaz but the numbers show that they got a bit fortunate with wins over 11th and 16th place teams. The best result they had was a win against the 2nd place side of event 2. Event 1 would see a decent result in a win over the 7th place side as well. Their losses in event number 1 and 2 were decent with most coming to playoff teams and 1 coming to an 11th place side. They would have a dramatic fall off in event 3 going 0-3 while losing to 9th, 11th and 14th place teams.
11. Shopify Rebellion (2Piece, Jstn, Paarth) - W/L: 4-6 - GD: 22-25 (-3) -average of teams they beat: 6.75 -average of teams they lost to: 7 A team with high expectations from some. They would come out hot out of the gates just like dig and get a top 4 beating 3rd and 5th place teams while theyre at it with their losses only coming to 2nd and 6th place sides. They would proceed to drop off harder than Tony Ferguson and miss the 2nd event only to return in event 3 and go 0-3 losing to 7th, 12th and 13th place sides. There is rumours that shopify is trying to replace Jstn with Andy.
12. Omelette (Lionblaze, Percy, Zineel) - W/L: 5-5 - GD: 21-21 (0) -average of teams they beat: 10.6 -average of teams they lost to: 2.2 With the highest loss quality since Ssg, Omelette look like they got a very unlucky schedule. They were quite the team in double elim as they would miss event 1, lose early in event 2 and make it all the way to top 16 and then go through uppers in event 3. They would improve every passing event as event 2 would see them go out 2-3 losing to all of the top 3 sides while beating 12th and 13th place. event 3 seen a top 8 finish beating 6th and 8th place teams while losing to 3rd place and pushing but ultimately losing to 2nd place. Once they made main events they had to face top 3 teams 5 times and lost them all. One could argue that at the end of the split this was a top 4 team.
T13. The Snowmen (frosty, reveal, scrzbbles) - W/L: 3-6 - GD: 17-22 (-5) -average of teams they beat: 14 -average of teams they lost to: 6.33 This young team has made events 1 and 3 this season showing some promising looks but not quite breaking into the top tier yet. There is only 1 win shared among the teams theyve beaten meanwhile theyve had to face the top team of the event 2 times and a top 4 team once. The rest of their losses would come to non playoff teams
T13. Young Whippersnappers (PNDH, realize, Skippy) - W/L: 3-6 - GD: 11-24 (-13) -average of teams they beat: 11.67 -average of teams they lost to: 5.17 Going fairly hand in hand with the other young team, They would both get the exact same record in every event however young whippersnappers would see a tougher schedule leading to a worse GD. These lads would take wins over 9th and 10th place sides in event 1 while losing to only playoff teams that placed between 2nd and 7th place among the 2 events they were in. This would lead to better quality numbers across the board compared to the snowybois. Also humorous to me to see the other team named snowmen when this team has the player from the great white north. Us Canadians didnt see much snow this year though.
T15. DeletedXD (Ahdumn, Night, Oath) - W/L: 2-6 - GD: 13-20 (-7) -average of teams they beat: 9.5 -average of teams they lost to: 10.5 Making the first 2 events of the season and then getting deleted before the main event in the 3rd tourney, this team had 2 wins coming against a 16th place side and a 4th place side. Quite the spread to have your wins against. Just one of their losses would come to a playoff team when they lost to the 8th place side in event 2. Losing all other games to non bracket teams and bowing out of each event with just 1 win.
T15. The Muffin Men (Aqua, Gimmick, Squishy) - W/L: 2-6 - GD: 10-22 (-12) -average of teams they beat: 13.5 -average of teams they lost to: 6.5 A favourite of many, this team somehow managed to go 5-11 in games in each event they made. Squishy would managed to eliminate Jstn in event 3 and take down the 12th place side in event 1. Their losses would come mainly to top 8 sides mixed in with a loss to 2nd and 10th place sides. Squishy would have a great final event though as he came very close to making the 2-2 round. Aqua and Gimmick have both posted that they are LFT since
T17. Boulevard (alraz, delta, repeat) - W/L: 2-3 - GD: 9-12 (-3) -average of teams they beat: 14.5 -average of teams they lost to: 6.67 The first team who have only made 1 event, this trio would make event number 3 this split. doing a little bit of damage as they would beat 13th and 16th place sides of the event. The teams the lost to would place 3rd, 8th and 9th. Making the 3rd event of the season means there is hope that they can grow even more.
T17. Incorrect (Angel, Flitz, Tool) - W/L: 2-3 - GD: 6-9 (-3) -average of teams they beat: 12 -average of teams they lost to: 4 With a nice GD, Their wins were dominant and their losses were dominant against them. Managing to have the lowest amount of games played possible in 5 series, They would lose to 2nd, 4th and 6th place sides and beat 15th and 9th place teams. The knock on this team is that they made the middle event of the split and couldnt make the next event afterwords.
19. Leftovers (Cam, Daunt, Taroco) - W/L: 1-3 - GD: 4-9 (-5) -average of teams they beat: 16 -average of teams they lost to: 5 The team i think i remember ppl flexing on (i could be wrong). They would meet both grand finalists and the last place team all on their route within this event, they would also see the 12th place team across from them which means they faced legit the top, bottom and middle placing of the even
T20. Gbuffo (Buffy, Gman, Hazo) - W/L: 0-3 - GD: 1-9 (-8) -average of teams they lost to: 9.67 The gman made the 2nd event of the season and bowed out of the event in 3 games. Losing to 6th, 9th and 14th place sides, they didnt have the best loss quality and only managed 1 game win among those losses as well
T20. Plot Twist (Kofyr, Sosa, Xpurt) - W/L: 0-3 - GD: 2-9 (-7) -average of teams they lost to: 8 Making the first event of the season, my canadian lad sosa and his squad would win 2 total games and fail to make events 2 and 3. Those losses would come against 7th, 8th and 9th place sides within the event leaving them with a loss quality score of 8
22. University of Akron (Bullzeye, patty, trstn) - W/L: 0-3 - GD: 2-9 -average of teams they lost to: 9 Making the same event as gbuffo, this crl team would proceed to win 1 extra game with a slightly better loss quality. losing to 6th, 7th and 14th place sides they wouldnt make the next event either.

Conclusion Man is Na exciting. The numbers showing what everyone already knows, and that is that ssg is the unluckiest team in the region. I do want to point out that if m80 wasnt there to beat Geng in the first 2 events, then ssg never wouldve faced them in quarters for those events. What intruiged me most in the charts was the numbers for omelette and shopify suggesting that when they did make events, they ran in to some pretty good opponents. Those 2 could be considered unlucky as well but they didnt help themselves by missing a top 16 all together. M80 is obviously the biggest switchup team as they go from unbeatable to unlosable in the span of 24 hours. Im sure one day the Quarters curse will be lifted off of Joruezs shoulders but for now whatever entity cursed him is winning their battle. Poab on the other hand the the biggest guarantee if you ask me. Theyre going to beat non bracket teams and lose to bracket teams, remember achieves is the goat. Today i am posting more in line with Na regular hours. I will be trying to post Eu around 3 to 7 pm England time tomorrow which is pretty much right after i get off work.

https://www.reddit.com/RocketLeagueEsports/comments/16gfxlt/our_top_100_rlcs_players_2223_season_last/ ____________________________________
A summary of the main criteria I'm using as I update this list:
