2024.05.14 18:13 J-Red_dit The Good, The Bad, and The Curious

When you reach door 60 you can go through a crack wall and find yourself in a secret room that leads to The Rooms, a reference to a game of the same name that inspired Doors. When dying to an entity in this place, we are not greeted by Guiding Light (GL) but instead by the yellow Curious Light (CL). The behavior of CL is odd, it’s quite vague and generally less helpful than GL, but it does encourage the player to come back implying that it needs the players help for something. It is suspected that CL requires the player to be able to escape The Rooms because in the recent Backdoor update, upon leaving The Rooms or The Backdoor, the player exits through a doorframe covered in yellow cracks and stars.
Speaking of which, backtracking to Door 60 there is a painting that has no title of a large yellow star. It is suspected this star is a symbol that represents CL.
https://preview.redd.it/ofihp1mdaa0d1.png?width=703&format=png&auto=webp&s=1425154a12a27aceb5407e3fe95c9c444aece319
This painting hides more secrets however. Also in this room are 3 chairs placed together. As far as I remember, these chairs have always been in this room, and I thought of them as significant but with nothing to connect it to. This is no longer the case as of the modifiers update because now, if you enter this room with at least 1 modifier turned on, the painting changes to this:
https://preview.redd.it/27omnf2taa0d1.png?width=699&format=png&auto=webp&s=447ac5c21d33375c81aafcfbac261e0a09341b49
Two more symbols appear on the painting, one of a blue crescent moon, and one of the red modifier icon. If CL is connected to the star icon, then who is connected to the other two? The crescent moon is obviously Guiding Light, sharing the same blue color and the crescent moon icon appearing when using the crucifix. The modifier icon however doesn’t belong to a light we’ve met yet, they have however made appearances. But first I need to talk about what the lights are, and what they want. When a player uses the crucifix, one of the symbols that appears is a closed string of wingdings, which when translated and put through a Caeser cipher translates to, “One Of The Three Architects Marked By Celestials Assists You”. Three architects, three icons, three chairs, three lights. So the lights are referred to as architects, but what does this mean? Game Theory believes the reason they are called Architects is the lights have the ability to change the layout of The Hotel, and GL uses this ability to turn The Hotel into a labyrinth keeping the hostile entities trapped inside.
In The Hotel the players goal is to make it to Door 100. The reason for this isn’t clear, but I speculate that in the upcoming Mines update there is some kind of escape from The Hotel for the player. Guiding Light seems to support the player in this endeavor, remembering the past deaths of players, which suggests that death itself is not an escape from The Hotel. El Goblino mentions other humans he has seen attempting to reach Door 100, so I believe that humans who become trapped in The Hotel need to reach The Mines in order to escape, and every time they die they reappear at the beginning of The Hotel and GL assists them each time. GL assists the player by glowing in certain areas to highlight them, items like the candle and the crucifix to defend against the enemies, and of course providing tips for dealing with the entities upon death. Finally I believe the rift in the Electrical Room that stores items to be used in another run is another power of GL (which is important later). Curious Light as already mentioned is less helpful than GL but nonetheless needs the player’s help in The Rooms. In the Backdoor update CL seems more acquainted with the player and more inclined to help, giving better tips, providing Starlight Vials with his star icon, and placing the levers in The Backdoor to keep Haste at bay further supporting the lights ability to change The Hotel as the Architects.
But what about the third architect, represented by the red modifier icon? With the evidence I have gathered, I believe this architect is a malevolent entity allied with the hostile entities. In a post by they suggest looking at the painting like a coordinate plane, with GL’s icon falling in the Positive, Positive section suggesting to symbolize GL as a force of good, CL falling dead center to symbolize neutrality, both of which makes a lot of sense given their personalities, and finally the modifier icon falling into the Negative, Negative section symbolizing our final architect as a force of evil. How do we prove this? First let’s look at the modifiers themselves, since this light is clearly connected to them. The modifiers are able to control the entities behavior, affect The Hotel, and even disable Guiding Light! This isn’t the only instance of modifiers affecting GL either, when modifiers are turned on GL is not present to give tips on the entities and the biggest piece of evidence suggesting rivalry between this architect and GL is that the more modifiers are turned on, the SMALLER GL’s icon gets in the painting.
(150% knobs multiplier for non-players)
Next we have the red barrier that blocks access to The Rooms when modifiers are turned on. We know this is an ability of the Architects because CL does the same thing for The Backdoor until players reach The Rooms for the first time. Why would the Red Light do this? I speculate it is because it (and GL) don’t have much control over areas like The Rooms or The Backdoor since you can’t use modifiers in those areas.
Finally I want to look at the Tower Heroes collab event. While the event itself is not canon to the lore, I want to point out an interesting detail from this event. When playing a Doors-themed level you typically are assisted by GL giving tips in between each wave of enemies. CL also makes an appearance in this event in Adventure mode giving hints to the secret Void boss fight. However, one particular Weekly Challenge during that event called, “Hotel Visitors” had the player assume the role of Figure defending the Library. This time, instead of GL giving tips we are assisted by something speaking in RED text, which the community referred to as Mischievous Light. They could have just as easily made GL talk during this challenge but they specifically chose to replace GL with something else. Not only that, they gave this Mischievous Light some personality, referring to the enemies as “trespassers”. It just fits so perfectly that I can’t help but believe it to be intentional.
https://preview.redd.it/tsy0yrfpka0d1.png?width=1334&format=png&auto=webp&s=865436166cce588de59c3136776754e4fe14ac08
Now that I’ve thoroughly explained the Red Light/Mischievous Light (ML), let’s circle back to Curious Light. Going back to the Door 60 painting, there is one more detail I’d like to discuss, and that is the fact that CL’s icon is much larger than GL’s or ML’s. I believe this is a representation of how powerful each Architect actually is. This is supported by GL’s icon shrinking when the player adds more modifiers, suggesting that they weaken GL. Furthermore GL and ML seem to possess a different set of powers, while CL seems to possess it’s own unique powers as well being able to replicate the other Architect’s. Like GL, Curious Light does glow on the entrance to and exits from The Rooms, and if we use the Bottle of Starlight bought at the end of The Backdoor on GL’s rift, it creates a second yellow rift. We don’t currently have any more similar powers between CL and ML besides the barriers they both create but I believe ML doesn’t consider CL an enemy like it does with GL (more on that in a second). Finally, only CL seems to be able to affect The Rooms and The Backdoor.
When dying to Blitz for the first time in The Backdoor we are greeted by Curious Light who drops a very strange detail:
https://preview.redd.it/oea3ahgdja0d1.png?width=1334&format=png&auto=webp&s=208f6611b341eca375de1ea38c94f01c459bb26f
We haven’t met anyone in The Hotel that’s been confirmed to be female so who could Curious Light be referring to here? The identity of this character is not yet clear, but the first candidate that people have suspected is Guiding Light, and sure on the surface that makes sense; they’re both Architects and we’ve seen them both talk but not necessarily to each other. But upon further inspection it doesn’t make sense for GL to be this character for one specific reason: the fact that this character decided to give Blitz a name. According to dialogue from GL and a tweet from the devs, the names of the entities in The Hotel were given by the player, NOT GL. If other humans have been to The Hotel then GL has been there for some time and has never bothered to give the entities names, so why would it start now? You know who’s more likely to give these entities names? Mischievous Light, the architect supposedly allied with these entities. This belief is shared by Game Theory, which I was super excited to see in their most recent theory.
So what is ML up to talking with CL? I believe that ML wants CL and possibly the player to join them. If CL is the most powerful architect and has dominion over The Rooms and The Backdoor, they would be a great ally to have. But what about the player? As we’ve discussed, despite CL’s power, they need the player’s help to access other areas, and in The Mines possibly will exist an escape from The Hotel that ONLY the player has the ability to open. If we take the Tower Heroes collab into consideration, ML initially sees players as “trespassers” and wants the entities to kill them. However, what if the modifiers are a test by ML to evaluate the player’s usefulness? Furthermore, not all modifiers are bad and actually make the game easier, so while ML definitely sees GL as an enemy, it may not be the same case for CL and the player. I speculate that Mischievous Light’s ultimate goal is to use the player to help the entities escape The Hotel, bringing death and destruction to whatever unfortunate world awaits behind the exit door.
But that’s just a theory, a DOORS THEORY! Thanks for reading!

2024.05.14 10:43 RegiSilver It's Bingo Time! RuneScape Roadmap 2024 edition.

Random Disclaimer 🎶
Keep in mind that unlike Runefest, content revealed on this Roadmap may not be as big and expansive as some may expect, the reveals of today are meant to make us excited for the rest of the year, but at the same time, throw some hints or teasers to make us look forward to the big Runefest reveals of September (a.k.a Summer Season).
With that being said, I hope you enjoy this Bingo Card, I wanted to make it shorter because I don't really expect the Stream to last more than 2 Hours, also, this bingo card isn't really comprehensive, instead something I can see happening based on current events, the content cadence strategy and my own personal theories.
Rest assured, I already have the Runefest bingo card on my HDD, so based on today's reveals I'll make adjustments and bring you a bigger, better and bolder card in the future :)
Thanks for visiting and hope you find these cards, funny, entertaining and humourous, because even if we're left down we can at least have a laugh, right!
Cya 'round everyone.

In a post by u/BoeEye they suggest looking at the painting like a coordinate plane, with GL’s icon falling in the Positive, Positive section suggesting to symbolize GL as a force of good, CL falling dead center to symbolize neutrality, both of which makes a lot of sense given their personalities, and finally the modifier icon falling into the Negative, Negative section symbolizing our final architect as a force of evil.

The Dead Greek Trio, and why they are GOAT's

To start this post off, have this adorable drawing of the 3 dead Greeks made by my partner (Yes I do get bitches). And once you’re done looking at that, lets get into the
Writing

1. Heracles
Heracles is an amazing character, and although his backstory is short, I believe he is one of the best written characters in the series. Many people shit on him talking about how If he cared for the humans he would actually fight for them, the same way Buddha did. But this would go completely against his character of Lawful Good. He has been with the gods for thousands of years now, he was adopted by Zeus, and is basically brothers with Ares. He can’t just betray his family, and even besides that, it wouldn’t be right to betray the people that helped him so long ago. And even if he did, that DOESN’T stop Ragnarok, only removes one fighter from their side, which isn’t very productive to what he wants. So he comes up with a different plan, and that is to CONVINCE Zeus to call it off. Many people see this as naïve, but realistically it could happen. Hell, all gods from all pantheons stopped interacting with all of humanity for 4000 years because Demigod Heracles asked for it, so it’s not too far fetched to think that they would let humanity live for another 4000 if Heracles, the Golden Boy, the super popular herald of justice, the god all kids look up to, asked for it.
Heracles is a perfect representation of Lawful Good, and he planned to save humanity while not betraying his entire family, and in his own way. While Buddha planned to save humanity by doing the opposite, and fighting for them instead, which would make him Chaotic Good. But if Heracles was to live, his effort to save Humanity would have had more of an impact than Buddha’s single win.
2. Poseidon
Poseidon, being Greek, is also an amazing character. In my opinion he is the best villain in the entire series. He acts as this unbeatable blockade, a Dark Souls Boss, that is overwhelmingly powerful. In the entire round 3, we are constantly shown Sasaki’s POV, as he seems to gain hope and gain the ability to dodge Poseidon, only for it to be fully crushed by Poseidon once more. He gives me the feeling of that one difficult boss, that when you finally learn how to beat, reveals to just have another, more difficult second phase which absolutely demolishes you. And I think this fits Poseidon so much. He is the most feared god, the Tyrant of the Seas, the God amongst Gods, of course he acts like a final boss.
But what I think makes him stand out, is his philosophy. He believes that Gods are supposed to be perfect, that they don’t need to have support to become strong, and that they don’t need any armies to fight their fights for them when they can do it themselves, and that is just fascinating to me. We can see in Hades’ backstory, that if Poseidon sees someone who fits this philosophy, he will respect them and treat them as a close friend. We can also see in his own backstory, that he doesn’t just kill anyone he disagrees with, only if they attack him. This shows that Poseidon isn’t a mass murdering lunatic, but just has firm standards, and no one is exempt from them, not even his own brother.
3. Hades
Hades, like the previous two, is also quite a good character, although simpler. He is the most reliable god, the god everyone knows they can count on, the older brother of the Greek brothers, and the king of Helheim who held back an entire army of Titans. He is constantly portrayed as the Kind brother, compared to the battle hungry Zeus, and the prideful and brutal Poseidon. He also constantly talks about how he puts everyone else before himself, and I think this is shown well with his power, which requires him to make himself BLEED in order to gain access to more power, showing how he would do anything to protect the ones he loves. This is only further cemented in his backstory, which shows him holding back the army of Titans in Helheim, all on his own in order to not burden anyone else. Along with that in round 6 he is portrayed as mostly calm and a bit of a unserious individual with how he talks to Zeus and Ares about Buddha and Hajun. He teases his brothers and has friendly bickering with some, overall being shown as a loving individual, but we can also see that his OWN expectations of himself (not letting himself lose) and how his powers DRAIN his life essence show that he actively hurts himself to protect others, which if it was delved into more, would be REALLY good to see in effect more outside of his death and Desmos symbolism.
Powerscaling
POSEIDON, THE GOD OF GODS.
Firstly lets get into the strongest here, at least in my opinion. Poseidon has some really good feats and statements/narrative to put him amongst the top tiers.
Firstly for the narrative bit, him just being announced made Brun to go from mad to shitting herself scared, Goll also calls him a top tier (alongside zeus and Thor), and also left Brunhilde STUMPED for who to choose (this has never before happened and never happened ever again, considering she had Qin for Hades at least), and in the very same page, she calls him the Zeus of the Sea, which is the only time a character has been directly compared to Zeus. He's also called the most fearsome god, and made the entire god side silent. He also killed Adamas and no one said a thing, even tho he was called tough by Ares, and he is so powerful, no one, including every Ragnarok fighter, decided to protest his decision.

But let’s get into his stats.
Firstly one of his weaker stats, his strength.

While it's not the best, he still managed to basically oneshot Adamas, and destroy a wall with ease, who was previously said to be tough, was able to crush his own hand easily, and he broke a volund with ease. The last strength feat I’d like to mention is him making the arena basically just a small island from his barrage at the end of the fight.
Durability

He has no dura feats
Endurance

He has GODLY endurance, showing ZERO pain after having his arms cut off, and being cut in multiple places, still being able to talk even when falling apart.
Skill

He has been called the most skilled lancer in the heavens. Translation.
BIQ
He surprisingly has a BIQ feat. He was able to read Sasaki's scan and attack in a blindspot, and he was able to tell that Sasaki was reading his moves.

Speed

The most important start for the God of Gods. Even when completely casual, his strikes are faster than many other fighters, to the point that Sasaki couldn’t see them at all, and even with scan, Poseidon moved faster than Sasaki thought was possible, then once he got actually slightly serious he was able to unleash this move, which is faster than almost anything we have seen and was strong enough to shatter the arena floor, and make massive waves apear, and keep in mind, this is only an inkling of Poseidon’s true power. Even the narrator knows that Poseidon is built different, stating that the only reason Sasaki is struggling so much, and the only reason he seems so weak, is because his opponent is Poseidon, not a god, but specifically Poseidon. Another high speed assault that seems almost impossible to block, and another showing of him releasing hundreds of attacks in a second. He was also capable of dodging an attack this close like it was nothing, and even Hermes was suprised at how fast Poseidon's attack was. Now as I said before, Poseidon in casual was so fast, Sasaki couldn’t see it. So this line makes no sense. What I assume it means is that even if Sasaki had lived through the attack, it was so fast that he could still not dodge it which is insane. Then there’s obv 40 day flood, which is the fastest attack In the series (TFTST is a time stop, so it isn’t speed). And inside of 40 day flood, it's shown that Sasaki is basically fighting multiple Poseidon's at once, with how with his monstrous speed, he seems to be everywhere at once. In the end, Sasaki had to see every single attack, and combination of attacks that Poseidon could EVER think of, just to be able to reach him. In the end, Poseidon is the only character to have shown this level of speed, and the only one to have been stated as super fast by multiple people.

AGILITY
Look at 40DF
HAX

He has no hax.

Now that we have gone over Poseidon’s stats, I think it’s fair to say he is top tier. Let’s go over some of his matchups to see how he does first
VS THOR:
Thor while having massive strength, doesn’t have the speed feats to be able to keep up with Poseidon, and his only way of dealing any damage to him, is to use Awakened Mjolnir, but by the time he gets that, he might just be overwhelmed by Poseidon’s high speed assault.
VS APOLLO:
Apollo is very strong indeed, but Poseidon is just too fast again. Apollo’s bow will land a hit, but that is only If Apollo can even keep up with Poseidon’s movement, which NO ONE in the verse has been able to do. Even Sasaki wasn’t able to, he just memorized what he needed to do, to survive, which NO ONE, else can. Thus I believe that Apollo will just get overwhelmed by Poseidon’s attacks, same as Thor.
VS BEELZEBUB
This is a controversial one I believe. But in my opinion Poseidon wins. Beelzebub’s only weakness is when a character is unpredictable and also insanely fast, which is shown by his shield being breached by Tesla. Thus if Poseidon were to take it seriously (which he should, considering he should know about Chaos (Zeus knew) and should know about Beelzebub existing cuz of Hades), then I believe he can kill Beelzebub, before Beelzebub uses Chaos. Either way it will be close, because if Poseidon is a second too late and Beelzebub pops Chaos, it’s over for the God of Gods. But he should be fast enough to land the killing blow first.
VS QIN SHI HUANG
Well Qin’s kinda fucked here. His best moves (HHoD and Bubble) are both kinda useless against Poseidon. Poseidon moves too frantically for Bubble to land, and even if it does, it will only affect one of the thousands of strikes. And then HHoD is kinda useless, cuz if he deflects one attack, then a hundred others will come and he wont be able to do it to all of them. Thus Qin will get overwhelmed and die.
VS TESLA
Well this ones tragic for Tesla as well. With how Tesla walks up to his opponent, Poseidon’s gonna start attacking quickly, and if he does his I am God line, Poseidon is gonna get REALLY pissed REALLY quickly. And when he does, Telsa just isn’t as fast as Poseidon, and will get killed after a bit.
HERACLES, THE GOD OF FORTITUDE
Next up is Heracles the goat.
STRENGTH
His strength is genuinely insane. He is compared to Zeus, in terms of strength when he had just gotten his powers, and has grown much stronger over the years. Besides that statement he has the feats to back it all up. He destroys entire buildings with simple swings, he breaks the entire floor with just flexing his muscles and jumping, his base level swings obliterate the floor as well, he breaks dozens of divine weapons with his bare hands and dozens more with his club during the fight.. Overall he is one of the physically strongest characters in the series, mainly behind the big boys like Raiden and Thor.

DURABILITY
Ah another one of his great stats. While he has little to no durability feats against slashing attacks (which no one has besides Hajun in his arms), he has shown absolute amazing durability to blunt force attacks. Not a single one has left any lasting damage to him, and even Rondo The Blessing, a diving building, did ZERO damage to him and left him slightly winded at most. Blunt Force attacks are going to have a REALLY hard time dealing damage to him.

ENDURANCE
Now its time for his BEST stat. His Endurance is best in the verse. He shows NO pain even when feeling one of the most painful effects in the verse (tattoo that knocks out GODS by a millimeter growth was constantly growing for METERS on his body), he was constantly being impaled and cut and damaged and wounded on top of his tattoos, and none of them slowed him down nor did it hinder his fighting capability (he lost his arm and tanked DOZENS of divine knives like nothing). He also tanked Rondo The Blessing, and was running and jumping his entire match without a HINT of getting tired/pain.

SKILL
He doesn’t have many feats in this stat, but he does show very good skill in using his labors, knowing each one and how to use it to achieve what he wants and needs in the moment.

BIQ
He has shown quite good battle IQ. He was the first one to figure out all of Jack’s tricks, when even the god of trickery and ALL audience members were fooled.

SPEED

He hasn’t shown the best speed feats. He can run as fast as needed, but he isn’t blitzing anyone.

AGILITY
He has quite good agility, being able to jump the height of buildings with ease, and doing backflips and the such to dodge pincer attacks from Jack, while still deflecting attacks back.
HAX
His hax are impressive. All of his labours he has shown are all useful against something (AoE, anti ranged weapon, and increased stats are all great), and overall very useful. Nemean Lion breaks a divine weapon easily and still slams Jack into the wall, and Cerberus. Oh boy Cerberus. His durability is increased, his attack damage is increased (dealing more damage with just his fists than he did without them) gets access to a clawing attack, which is very useful for some slashing damage to his kit.

Now that we have finished with his impressive stats, lets see some of his matchups real quick.

VS LEONIDAS
Leonidas is very impressive in his own right, but Heracles just has a winning matchup. Most of Leo’s attack’s are blunt force, and with how strong and powerful Heracles’ strikes are, I’m unsure If his shield can even survive so many of them. Heracles also has winds to disable his long range options, and he has Cerberus to tank anything Leo can put out. On top of this Heracles’ Claw attack is a devastating blow that if hit will most likely KO Leo. Overall, Heracles’ mostly superior stats earn him a victory against Leo.
VS RAIDEN
While Raiden has superior strength (although not by much), Heracles has better endurance and durability. He also has a divine weapon, and much better hax in the form of Cerberus. Along with all this, his Claw Attack should be devastating to Raiden, and this just truly depends on who you think puts down who. Because of the fact that Heracles has shown to have AMAZING durability against blunt force attacks, while Raiden has no feats against slashing attacks (Claw), I give this one to Heracles.
VS HAJUN
Hajun’s main win con here is Drill. But the fact that it’s quite slow, and even if it does fully land, it has such a small area of effect, makes it a non issue really. A small hole aint stopping the God of Fortitude. Then after that, Heracles’ superior Endurance, Hax, Cerberus, and Strength will all slowly give him the win. While Hajun is deadly, his body’s durability isn’t the best (got slashed by Buddha’s base sword with no effort), so a single Claw attack to the chest might just kill him. And I do not believe Hajun has the firepower needed to fully put down Heracles before that. I’d give this to Heracles.
VS QIN SHI HUANG This is a really funny mathcup. Qin really just gets so fucked by Heracles existing. Heracles’ tattoos make him be in IMMENSE pain for the entire fight, either knocking him out or distracting him a lot. Nemean Lion is impossible to HHOD by him, the winds fuck up his Air Bubbles, Heracles has enough strength to overwhelm him without them, and Cerberus has the Claw attack which Qin also cant counter. Overall Heracles is a walking counter to Qin, not allowing ANY of his kit to shine, and using it to his advantage to score a win.
VS SHIVA
Well this is a close matchup either way. Heracles is similar to Raiden, with lower strength, but higher durability, a divine weapon, and better hax. His Nemean Lion is good to counter Dance (lets him stop the dance for a bit), his Cerberus is insane for Shiva, considering none of his attacks outside of Tandava Karma will deal real damage. On top of that Shiva wanting to tank attacks is really bad here, because all of Heracles’ punches pack a punch, and if he tries and tanks Claw, he’s losing a lot of his body or even dying if he’s damaged enough at that point. But Tandava Karma might be enough to kill and put down Heracles. I’d say this is a 50/50 honestly.
HADES, THE KING OF HELHEIM

Narrative wise its quite simple to see why he would be high tier. He’s a chief god, everyone says he would never lose (including Beelzebub), is called the most reliable god and is even respected by Poseidon. But his actual stats also back this narrative up to some extent.
STRENGTH
His strength is similar to Heracles, in the way that its also absolutely cracked. His base level starting attacks are called one graze kills, and his named strikes pack enough power to DEMOLISH the arena along with damaging Qin with JUST winds. And this is just him in base form, using Desmos makes him even deadlier, letting him COMPLETELY overpower HHoD and airbubble, AND break the most defensive volund on top of that.

DURABILITY
His durability is also amazing, being capable of tanking his own insanely deadly strikes multiple times over, along with tanking Qin’s kick and piercing strike.

ENDURANCE
Cracked as well, not quite on the level of Weracles but good. Like I said before, he tanked multiple attacks from Qin and his own attacks as well. On top of that he also killed an entire ARMY of god like Titans on his own, to the point of it making an entire SEA of corpses.

SKILL
He overcame HHoD in base form with just his skill as a spear user and managed to counter bubbles quite easily, and is overall a very skilled spear user. Below Poseidon because of Poseidons statement of being the most skilled but still.
BIQ
He has REALLY good BIQ. He managed to figure out how to counter HHoD with just seeing it once, and managed to figure out how Qin’s bubbles worked with just seeing it twice.

SPEED AND AGILITY
His speed is quite good. He can send out a quick flurry of strikes, compared to Poseidon’s barrage, and he managed to jump from one side of the arena to the other almost instantly. He also had the reaction speed to change his ki point JUST before the bubble hit his ki point, just by using the very thing layer of blood to sense it, which is wild. On top of that Desmos BOOSTS his speed even more, giving him the speed to BLITZ Qin, who was keeping up with Hades just fine before hand.

HAX
He has Desmos which massively boosts his AP and speed.

ATTITUDE
His is one of the best. Just as he enters he almost INSTANTLY goes for the kill with his flurry of blows, and then tops it off with a NAMED technique, not giving the opponent any time to breathe.

Now with his important stats finished, let’s review some of his matchups.

VS LU BU

This would be a fun fight. They have very similar stats, with Lu Bu winning Strength, and Hades winning Durability, BIQ and Speed, with all their other stats being almost the same. But in the end I’d give it to Hades simply because he can use his strongest attack multiple times over in quick succession, and he would be able to attack with Desmos before Lu Bu can use Sky Eater, which gives him an edge I think.

VS SHIVA
This is a bad matchup for Shiva. He starts his fights unserious and constantly wants to tank attacks instead of dodge them, which is a shit idea against Hades’ powerful blows, along with the fact that Hades INSTANTLY goes for the kill, which will be bad for Shiva as well. I bet that before Shiva can even use his normal dance he would have already been damaged a fair amount, and if Hades decides to use Desmos before Shiva uses Tandava, he will get surprised and killed by the sudden boost in power and speed, just like with Yata. Even if that doesn’t happen, Hades has enough durability to tank most of Shiva’s attacks, and capable enough to kill Shiva when he decides to tank an attack.
VS HAJUN
This is also a bad matchup for Hajun. Hades being hyper aggressive at the start will make it so Hajun cant use his drill, and Hajun would probably start to get scared when he sees his opponent deliver so many deadly fast blows. On top of that, Hajun has no durability feats for his body (it got sliced by a base Buddha with base sword), so if Hades hits him anywhere but his arms, it will be deadly. Overall if Hades uses Desmos, Hajun has no answer for that, and if he rips his arm off to make the blade, I’d bet on Desmos to win that clash.
VS LEONIDAS
This is a win for Hades as well. Leonidas while deadly, has no way of stopping Hades’ deadly barrage, and when Hades uses Desmos, I don’t think Leo can win against it. Hades can also attack with Desmos multiple times, and hit vitals instead of Leo’s shield which I think does him in.
VS THOR
This is also a similar matchup to Lu Bu. Thor has better strength, divine weapon and has armored gauntlets, while Hades has better speed, BIQ and durability. In the end it comes down to Desmos VS Awakened Mjolnir. In a straight clash, Thor would take it, but I believe that just like with Lu Bu, Hades will win, simply because he can unload his attacks faster and before Thor can use his strongest strikes.

To finish off this MASSIVE post, I will end it with a quick and fun attractiveness tierlist. And with that mildly controversial tierlist, I hope anyone who reached the end had fun reading it, and I hope you consider voting for me. For reaching the end of this LONG ass post, have a cute doggo drawing my partner also did.

2024.05.10 20:23 bugbugbugzone How to tell if an outsourcing studio offering me a test task is legitimate?

Hi! So recently I had used a submission form on the website of a game art outsourcing studio to send in my portfolio and express interest. To my surprise, I actually heard back today. I submitted about a week ago.
I’ve been having a rough job search for about a year, and I’m so used to automatic rejections and the occasional obvious scam that I don’t know what it looks like when a studio is actually real and interested in working with you.
I am seeing some potential red flags in the email about the test task that they may not be legitimate, but none that are so clear that I can definitely tell. (They list Telegram as one of their communication methods, without any prior communication I already am on a 3 day clock for the test task, I’m in the U.S and their LinkedIn page doesn’t have a single person living in the U.S listed as working with them, etc.)
Is there any way to verify that they have actually worked on the projects that they’ve claimed to have worked on?
They have an ArtStation portfolio which seems to have art from mobile games like Bingo Blitz, but strangely they didn’t actually mention the game by name. If this is a scam then it’s a fairly elaborate one involving their own website, a LinkedIn page, and an ArtStation, but ultimately that’s not undoable. I could set all of that up for a fake company right now if I wanted to. Since they’re an outsourcing studio (if real), I’m not sure how to go about finding any credits for them on the games they’ve claimed to have worked on. If anyone has any guidance on this, I’d really appreciate it!
