So I've been modding New Vegas for a long while now. Been able to solve most of my issues and get the game running with things it shouldnt, etc. Recently, I've run into an issue I cant seem to solve. The Rundown: I have a TTW modlist thats worked damn well for me for a while, up until I added the b24 bows mod which upon uninstalling fixed my every 30 minute crash but now Ive got a new issue. I can do the ghost town gunfight, i can fight NCR and Goodsprings peeps. As soon as i even go NEAR other powder gangers or the bandits in Primm, my game crashes to desktop. Nothing I have could be touching their gear or animations. Least to my knowledge and my sight of em. I even shot the guy at the NCR spot before the deathclaws and holsterd my gun to stop the fight after a good second, turned back to the little camp of powder gangers who I wasnt even enemies with in a new game and bam, crash. Ive checked my list and checked it 80 more times and opened every mod page I could, made sure I had all the TTW patches. I know the Vegas area mods and know they dont affect stability or anything of my game in any discernable way. Id just like a little help in solving the combat issue is all. Ive also gone through trying to update mods, turn off mods one by one, new new games, and so on. I had even purged mods to reinstall both games and nothing so far has seemed to work.

I thought this might be helpful for those who still use my personal favorite mod in FNV, Real Time Settler. The mod developer stopped working on it years ago but still left the site online for people to gather information on the mod, now it seems that site is down for good. Using the WayBackMachine I was able to get a copy and reformat it so you don't have to. Cannot guarantee everything in the FAQ is correct but hopefully this helps others who still use one of the most criminally underrated mods on FNV. I may add to this my personal observations over time if enough people are interested.
THE BASICS OF RTS FOR NEW VEGAS
-------------------------------

1. Goto Mojave Outpost.
2. Find Brahmin Bess.
3. Activate Bess.(game default is the E button on your keyboard)
4. Select "Bess's Orders".
5. Tell Bess to "Follow you".
6. Wait a few seconds, you will get a message about turning on RTS Hardcore mode.

Hardcore mode allows you to build houses and hire villagers. Hardcore mode requires resources and scrap to build items. Disabling Hardcore mode allows you to build things without scrap or resources. You do not need to salvage cars or tires and that feature will be turned off. All the "Mod Controls" are available by Activating Bess or Bess's Bell. Bess's Bell is in your Inventory under the Aid Section.
Building
To begin building something, open the "Mod Controls" and select "start object Spawning". Wait a few seconds and a Bobblehead will show up. Use the scroll wheel to cycle through the categories. Select a category. press the Activate button(game default [E] button on your keyboard) Use the scroll wheel to cycle through the available items.

• To toggle between rotating and zooming the item, press the Activate button(game default [E] button on your keyboard).
• To zoom or rotate the item, press or hold your mouse buttons. To rotate on the X or Y axis, hold down the [X] or [Y] button on your keyboard while pressing your mouse buttons. You can move around and place the item where you wish.
• To place the item, press the [C] button on your keyboard. The item will become locked and you can walk around to inspect the placement. To confirm placement, press and hold the [C] button again. To cancel the item or placement, press the [BACKSPACE] button on your keyboard.
• To delete a blueprint that you are looking at, press the Numpad [-] minus button. To re-align the rotation axis, press the * asterisk button on your numberpad. (not the shift 8 button) To resize the item, hold down the [L] button on your keyboard while pressing your mouse buttons.
• You can reconfigure some of the hotkey buttons [C], [BACKSPACE], scroll up and scroll down. This is under "Mod Controls" > Mod Settings > Debugging > Configure hot keys.
• You can place multiple items with the same alignment.
• If you completely cancel item placement, the alignment resets to default.
• To exit object spawning mode, Press the [BACKSPACE] button several times.
• (Yes, I know that the Broc Flower and White horse nettle fall through the ground, that is a vanilla bug. We are researching it.)

Blue Printing

• If you don't see an item you want, you have the ability to take blueprints of items in the game.
• Open the "Mod Controls".
• Select "Start blueprinting". Get within arms reach of the item you wish to blueprint.Target the item with your cross-hairs. Press the [C] button. The item should start flashing white.
• To confirm the blueprint copy, Press the [C] button.
• To cancel the blueprint copy, Press the [BACKSPACE] button.
• To exit blueprinting mode, Open the "Mod Controls" and select "Stop blueprinting".
• (You cannot blueprint and place trees, you get a CTD)

Picking Up Items

• To pick up an object and move it somewhere else, Open the "Mod Controls" and select "Start object carrying". Target the item with your cross-hairs. Press the [C] button. The item should start flashing white.
• You may now carry, rotate or resize the object.
• Not all objects can be carried.
• If you are not allowed to carry the item, you will be offered the option to disable/delete the object.
• To exit object Carrying mode, Press the [BACKSPACE] button several times.

STARTING YOUR VILLAGE
---------------------
You need to activate RTS hardcore mode to build houses.
Then you need to collect some RTS scrap.

1. Turn on Hardcore mode.
2. Activate Bess or Bess's Bell.(The "Mod Controls")
3. Select Start scrap collection.
4. Target a catires/wheel rim/motorcycle/truck with your cross-hair.

• (Many of these can be found near the road to the Mojave Outpost)
• Once you have some RTS scrap, you can build a shelter, which you upgrade into all other buildings.
• Building a shelter literally removes a tree from the game.
• To find out how many trees are in the area, Open the "Mod Controls" and select "Resources / Diplomacy", then select "check available resources".
• At the top of the list you will see "Direct Sources". These are the raw materials that indicate where you can build a Lumbermill, Stone, Silver or Gold mine.
• Lumbermills require 50 trees in the area. There should be several spots near Goodsprings and Jacobstown.
• Lumbermills need a house nearby so you can hire a villager to work there, but they do not have to be built in your Main village. You can use this as an outpost.
• The same is true for the Stone, Silver and Gold mines.
• Stone is available near Sloan and Quarry Junction.
• Silver is available at the "Silver Peak Mine" on the way to Jacobstown.
• There are two gold mines near Searchlight.
• Like in real life, I'd like to build a gold or diamond mine in my backyard, but I'd just be wasting my time. Yes, it is inconvenient that I don't have a gold mine in my backyard.

HOW TO BUILD A HOUSE AND HIRE A VILLAGER
----------------------------------------

• You need to activate RTS hardcore mode to build houses.
• Then you need to collect some RTS scrap.
• First, build a water well. (required to hire villagers or place plants)
• Then, open the blueprints to camping blueprints and build a shelter.
• (Building shelters literally removes a tree from the game.)
• Use the Activate button (game Default [E] button) on one of the support pillars, select the option to convert the shelter to a house.
• Use the Activate button (game Default E) on one of the support pillars, there should be an option to hire an inhabitant and upgrade the building.
• The buildings are all external, you can't "enter" any cells.
• Each house starts with ONE food ration for villagers.
• All other buildings are upgrades from the shelter.
• To increase the food rations, you can build a Farm or Pasture nearby.
• You can have a maximum of 5 farms.
• Now that you have a villager, you can build other buildings and assign the villager to work there.

GOLD! GOLD! GOLD!
-----------------

• So, this is an area where people get confused.
• There are two kinds of gold; gold "raw resources" determine where you can build the mine, and gold "as a product for trade caravans"
• All of the buildings require some maintenance cost of "GDP" or you won't be allowed to build it.
• One gold resource each near Searchlight North Gold mine and Searchlight East Gold Mine.
• There is only one spot for silver, at Silver Peak Mine (on the way to Jacobstown).
• The lumbermill produces unlimited wood for shelter or house construction.
• The 5 wood "produced" value that you see is "a product for trade caravans".
• The market grants "access" to the wood/stone that your buildings produce. Think of markets like the power nodes from Starcraft.
• The market creates an "area" where you get access to resources that your other buildings produce.
• In the current version 0.21, Markets no longer generate GDP.

THE TREES ARE GONE!
-------------------
So, build a lumbermill (and house) somewhere else(outpost), then build a market in your Main village.
If you run out of trees in an area, you can:
Walk further away from your village, and "scroll" your shelter until it is no longer red.
Then walk back to you village. You have just manually "carried" wood back to your village.

1. select the shelter. If there are no available trees, the shelter will glow red.
2. use your scroll wheel to select ANOTHER item from the blueprint queue.
3. walk away from your village.
4. use your scroll wheel to get BACK to the shelter.

If the shelter stops glowing red, that means there is a tree in range.
5) Repeat steps 2 through 4 until the shelter stops glowing red.
6) Stop using the scroll wheel.
7) walk back to the village and place your shelter.
Or, open the crate that comes with your lumbermill.(Obviously requires that you have a lumbermill somewhere)
There should be a packed wood item that you can use as wood to build shelters if you have run out of trees. This is a stop-gap measure.

1. Deploy the lumber pile.
2. Activate the lumberpile to grab some packed lumber.
3. Drop the packed lumber in your barren village.
4. The dropped lumber will count as wood for shelters.

Or, build a market nearby.(requires that you have a lumbermill somewhere and one tree)

Starting a Caravan can bring you lots of GDP but requires a few things:

1. A Caravan Guard.

• To get some Brahmin, you need to build a Pasture. Then open the crate that comes with the Pasture.
• Deploy the "Manger" that is in the crate. Click on the Manger to buy some Brahmin.
• Now, each Farm you have produces rations for villagers and Food for Caravan trade.
• You can have a maximum of 5 farms.
• You do not accumulate GDP.
• Any GDP that you don't spend is converted into bottlecaps.
• So, if you have 10 GDP today, then tomorrow morning you will still have 10 GDP, plus a pile of bottlecaps.

The Radio tower will attract Wastelanders into your settlement . It has a decorative function mainly, because Wastelanders may be only be assigned to farmer, butcher, manufacturer, miner and lumber jack position and only if an appropriate building is built nearby already. Good for repopulating of a depopulated settlement. Wastelanders dont require food, have no effect on GDP, happiness etc.
They do not have an option to stay put, so they will follow you until you kill them or give them a job.

Are you taller than normal? Shorter than normal? Playing as a child?
If you are taller than a standard character(or have another mod that changes your cross-hair position), you may need to swing your cross-hair around a bit to find the collision mesh where the bobblehead first spawned.
Try this:
1) When you activate object spawning, stand still.
2) Without walking away, try looking down and side-to-side a little.
When an object is first spawned, the collision mesh appears in that first spot.
You can use scripts or console commands to move the object, but the collision mesh doesn't sync up until the cell resets, or we force it. We force it to sync up by disableing and re-enabling the object.
The "E) Activate" menu function only triggers on that collision mesh.
Q) The game crashes when I try to pull Packed wood out of a container.

Known bug.
You are supposed to deploy the packed firewood, not stockpile it.
The packed firewood uses the OnDrop function.
The OnDrop function checks to see if the item is leaving a container.
Moveing from the Player(a container) to a box and then back to the Player is more than enough container checks before the script is triggered.
The script is trying to replace the carried object(packed wood) with a pile of lumber.
So there is no quick fix, just don't do it.
Q) I deleted some objects but I still see a fuzzy after image.

What you see are LOD objects which are usually only visible when you are looking at objects from very far away, they have very bad textures, blurry outlines, etc. These objects usually disappear when you come closer and they are replaced with objects with normal textures, etc.
But, if you disable the normal objects, LOD objects can't be replaced and will stay. LOD objects can't be deleted within the game.
If you fast travel to that location, the LOD will not be loaded.
The only way is to remove them is with the GECK.
Validating of LOD objects takes hours on a very good comp, a day and more with a slower one.
Deleting LOD objects is not an easy process, because you have to validate the whole world where the LOD object is/was placed.
Q) How do I hire soldiers or guards?

You have to build a Barracks before you can assign villagers as soldiers.
But be warned, this will activate random attacks.
Random attacks cannot be turned off.
The attacks only start if you build a barracks.
You can assign a static spawn point though.
So, if you want a village without attacks, don't build a barracks.
You could also set a static spawn, then fence them off with the chain-link fence. About 5 or 6 turrets should handle the spawns.

Many people incorrectly think that Logic describes how logical a person is or how accurate they are. No, it's about social spheres (and the social roles a person takes on), and first of all Logic is the sphere of education, knowledge, exploration of the world, curiosity, play (trying to "outplay" to satisfy one's curiosity). So, speaking about 3L's genesis, how it is formed in a child, we will be talking about play.
Play is the key and main activity in a child. How the child learnt to play, if they learnt that at all, what skills the child has honed while playing, is the child capable of being enthused - since play is a method of processing information and exploring the world (imaginary "travelling" on submarines, creating new made up rules, etc.). All of that is intellectual work. When the child goes to school, educational activity begins. If children for whatever reason have a disorder of play activity, then education is harder for them, then add in the teachers, atmosphere, other children, parents, pressure, and you have a big ball of difficulties with motivation.
In terms of 3L, there are two chronic traumas, which were formed in childhood due to constantly repeating situations. What was once actual parental figures letting the child know "You're not good enough" has now become the person's own inner voice. First trauma is the chronic disorder of play activity. That's when a child didn't learn how to play, was too serious, or the parents demanded that the child plays in a serious manner, "You can't play this way! Put that down. You're not playing correctly, that piece is not for that, don't mix those together, keep everything clean" - in other words, they didn't allow the creative aspect of exploration ("What will happen if I mix these? Or do that?"). This control of play affects the child, and it is not always verbal - the parent might silently judge, sigh, roll their eyes, be visibly tense or looming, express their readiness to punish and scold.
Another variant of disorder of play activity is when a child simply didn't get enough of it. This could play out in various ways. The child could've not got enough of play because they were deprived of it ("Alright, drop the toys, come help me," "Grandmother wants you to help her with xyz!" "Clean up the house, vacuum, scrub the floor," "Go do your homework!"). The child didn't get enough play because it was physically impossible to remain in that state of mind and pleasure of exploration of the world. Maybe the child would never leave the house and wouldn't even explore the surrounding neighbourhood. Or maybe the child didn't get enough play because there were too many extracurricular activities, completely overtaking the child's life with things that they "had to do". The child gets tired and wants to play and have fun instead. That's why any activities with children should be in a form of a game - if the child doesn't want to play with something, or wants to change the rules, the person who is their educator or parent should be flexible and adapt to the child in order to not cause a disorder of play activity.
The disorder might be not only because of the control or lack of play, it could also be due to condemnation, shame. "Do something real," "What are you doing?" "You're doing something weird/stupid." A child might find little pieces of trash, buttons, sticks, bags and start playing with them, trying to build something, but to the parents that's simply garbage that needs to be thrown out. For the child that's not garbage, it's a whole railway, or a world with its own people and story that they created for themselves. But the parent might take it and throw it away because they think that the child "doesn't need that." But the child was playing, and they were deprived of the game, and here we get to the second trauma.
Second trauma is the fear of being deprived of the game. It's when the child is deprived of it; perhaps their toys are thrown away, the toys that the child liked and loved playing with, or the normal expected level of messiness or chaos in a child's room is being taken under control ("You've finished playing with that, put it away," "You made something out of Lego, the pieces are on the floor, put them away.") - this way the child cannot create something in this creative chaos, it's like their wings are getting a bit clipped. The creative potential and freedom are limited by the notions that "You have to be this way," "You have to do it right," "You have to be clean." Some level of mess is a natural state of a child's room. By the end of the day, when they've finished playing, the toys can "go to sleep" and things can be cleaned up, but that kind of interruption should never happen during the playing activity, otherwise a playing disorder might develop.
The fear of being deprived of the game... It's when a child was playing, but then it was very crudely interrupted. Maybe a parent violently walked into the room and announced, "Altight, so we are going to do X now, gather your toys, we are going away to Y, etc." Or when the child couldn't get into the game, they always had the feeling that the moment they will get all the toys out, prepare for the game, the parent will come and say that it's time to sleep, or eat, or go somewhere - the child cannot get immersed in the pleasure, in the exploration, in the process, feeling as if somebody will take it away, something will interrupt it, and the child won't be able to do what they want to do; so sometimes the child doesn't even begin and try.
Or some children, looking at their parents, become too serious in regards to the game. A 5 year old might tell their parents, "Everybody here is a little baby, I don't want to play with them! They are too weird. I won't play with them... I'm too grown up for that!" Even if there is interest or desire, the child might think they are too grown up for those activities. Perhaps their parent often demands, "Be serious, be grown up, act your age."
This is where the fear of making a mistake comes from in adults - when they played in childhood, they were told, "You aren't playing right! Don't play with it, throw it away! Nobody builds a pyramid like that..." When a close person, a loved person, your family reprimands you, it's natural for the fear to appear, "What if I will play wrong? What if I don't do it right? I will be judged! I don't want that. I won't play at all, or only when nobody can see me..."
Punishments for playing, as well, contribute to this. When a child is playing by themselves, finds some toys, sticks, bottlecaps, or walks far away to explore garages or caves, and they are constantly berated for going so far from home, and parents don't try to figure out what is going with the child and teach them safety, then there will also be the fear of punishment.
In conclusion, people with 3L are people who have difficulties with games, playing; they cannot get into it, they might be overly serious, and that leaves a mark on their future opinions, how easy education is for them, their interest towards learning about the world. When the fear of deprivation is present, insatiability is developed - 3L people are scared of being deprived of play, they want to play more and more often, and they want to understand everything, this, this, and this... But, somehow, the person is unable to "play" and engage in all of that.
Some people who were deprived of play in their childhood still want to buy themselves toys, maybe soft toys, maybe collectible toys - whenever something impresses them. These people do not play with these toys. They have them on their shelves, perhaps literally as a collection. A collection of Lego, Harry Potter collection, collections of anime, etc. So the person has the toys, because they want them, really want more and more, and they want to play, but they don't play; instead they make a pretty display of them. This is a variant of how 3L is expressed in an adult activity. Perhaps a huge amount of tabletop games are being bought, but they aren't played, maybe because "there is not enough time," maybe because "there is no company to play with," "the rules are a tad too difficult". Basically, some circumstances are found to make playing seem impossible, but the desire to play is there, that's why those games are still being bought.
People with 3L are afraid to make a mistake, afraid to be wrong and get experience from that, learn from their mistake. Talking about expression of 3L in adult life, it is a fear of mistakes, fear of expressing your own opinion, feeling as if your own opinion is wrong, unnecessary, or out of place - everybody expressed their opinion, so why do I need to then, since everybody already said everything? It's as if there is no space for your own opinion. The chronic history of playing activity in childhood leads to people with 3L being unable to even say, "What if it is this way?" - playing with opinions, debating, perhaps playfully expressing not even their own opinion, but their opponent's, for exploration's sake, is not something that people with 3L find easy to do. For 3L, everything is serious: debates aren't for playing or discovering something interesting, or finding the truth; debates are about "I say my opinion, you say yours, we've exchanged opinions, everything is serious, this isn't a game." Seriousness in this regard is a quality of 3L.
In terms of energy for intellectual labour, people with 3L have the thrist for knowledge, thirst for exploration, they want more, more knowledge, being the expert; they collect many courses, they want to know everything, everything is interesting to them, but then they sit down to something and go, "Mmm... I'm already tired. I'm stupid. I cannot do anything. I need to do that test, write that essay..." and the tragedy starts, because people with 3L never learnt the approach of "This is going to be a fun challenge!!! This is going to be something really interesting!" No, for 3L it is a big drama to sit down and do something, because somebody will evaluate them - the 3L has a fear of evaluation, evaluation by another person, "What if there will be a mistake? How many times will I have to redo everything?" The person didn't even start doing anything yet, but all these worries overwhelm them, they'd already imagined that they won't be able to handle the task, and that leads to the absence of results in the sphere of intellectual activity.
The fear of being stupid is a personal worry and anxiety of the people with 3L - they haven't expressed their opinion yet, they haven't done anything yet, but they are already worried that others will judge them, ask them uncomfortable questions, look at them strangely. They fear making a mistake, because then "they are stupid". The voice of their parents might echo in their heads, "What, are you stupid?" "What, you don't understand what you need to do here? Are you slow?" "Again you failed!!!" "If you can't do it, then don't even start!" "Don't do what you can't do." "You are so stupid, everybody in the class gets it, only you can't." These voices of maybe even long-gone parental figures haunt and cause worries and spiralling.
The people with 3L are afraid to share and speak up about their own opinion; even if they don't have one, these people won't say "I don't know," they won't joke "I'm just dumb" or show self-critical attitude towards themselves. For 3L it is hard to joke on this topic, they are rather serious - maybe sometimes they can allow themselves to insult or humiliate themselves, but when somebody else says that, it becomes unbearable, because then the voice in their head takes on a material form, becomes more real. So people with 3L try not to express their opinion about things in order to not come across as a stupid or ignorant person and make that mistake that they're so afraid of.
But at the same time, people with 3L have insatiability and thirst for winning in arguments. They might say, "I must win! I must prove my position. I want this; I need it!" This desire sometimes takes on a destructive form, when a person furiously tries to prove something, no arguments are left, but the tension is present - the opponent must be destroyed. The debate isn't a game anymore, not an interesting way to spend time; it becomes aggressive or passive-aggressive attacks.
People with 3L want to be smart experts, people who know things, the ambition and insatiability are present, but it is hard to fulfil all these desires because of their inner understanding, since these people didn't learn how to learn. They want to learn things, but for that you need to learn, explore, process information, rethink it, use it, which is quite hard for 3L. So the inner conflict happens: I want to know, I want to explore, but will I be able to study it all in such a short period of time, or handle this volume of material, because it's quite difficult..." 3L sometimes doesn't have real life experience. If you ask them how they studied in school, they might answer "Well, I studied well enough..." They might get good reputation in their first years of school and then roll with things thanks to it, maybe by making agreements with teachers, cheating here and there, but they never learnt how to learn, how to integrate knowledge, for it to be like a game where you are interested in the knowledge. When 3L people are adults, they might even find it hard to play with children, "Tsk, I'm not a child anymore, I can't play with a kid. Don't create a kindergarten here, why did you think of this?" They might judge the games of other people, for example, when two people are arguing, having a debate, a person with 3L might say, "Oh my good, those two idiots, they don't know anything but argue anyway." 3L takes the position of being on top, overlooking others, as if it knows everything while others don't. It's an example of passive-aggresion - 3L thinks that it is better, and there is a lot of dissatisfaction and inhibition.
• Sometimes people with 3L might not recognise themselves in this function easily. They might say, "I've always studied well at school, I have diplomas, medals, I didn't have problems, and in my childhood I did play!" But, if you go a little bit deeper, ask more questions, assess the person's self-actualisation, then you can see that it is pseudo-might; the person says that they can do everything, they're expert in it all, but at the same time they don't have self-sufficiency. If somebody else says "I defended a really cool project," "I wrote an excellent code," "I finished a course!" "I am a professor," "They asked me to give a speech!" then this person feels envy. "I also want this..." "I need that too!" And if you look at the results of their activity, there aren't any global ones. And if they have intellectual work activity, then it is within the frame of their work - their work required them to go through certain courses, for example. Or maybe the courses were taken for another practical reason, but not for the sake of knowledge itself, not because it is fun or really interesting to them.
So the person talks big about themselves, but in reality there is nothing. Either it's something that's needed for some other activity - not by their own desire, but it just happened that way, - or it's criticism and destruction of the opinions of other people, when the person says "I'm the expert here!" and argues with people, criticises how they're wrong, but the key here is - they argue not by using arguments, but by using doubts, "So, are you sure that it's this way?" "And why do you think it's like that?" Doubts and arguments are different things; the person with 3L projects their own doubts onto other people. So when the other person replies, "Okay. You're destroying my opinion. But what about you? What are your results, what have you achieved, show yours, explain your opinion!" the person with 3L freezes up - they don't have their own stuff in regards to this aspect, it hasn't been formed, 3L cannot explain their opinion, cannot prove it. 3L focuses on destroying someone else's, but it cannot offer its own, cannot offer what it doesn't have.
Sometimes people talk about their close ones, "I have a girlfriend/boyfriend with high Logic, and they're such an expert..." but when you interact with that person and ask them, "What are your results, what have you done, tell me about your vision, let's play, let's argue, let's have fun here..." then the person responds, "Pfft. I won't do that! What am I, a child? I'm certain in that thing, and that's it." Just like that, communication is interrupted, there is no contact. This is pseudo-might.
• Another reason people might not recognise themselves or realise what difficulties they have is the illusion of control. It's when a person hides from themselves a very important part of themselves, when they don't admit to themselves, with their inner feeling of being pathetic, that they indeed had some childhood worries, beliefs, voices of their parents in their head, lack of a full-fledged play, curiosity that could spread wide. Instead, this person says, "Well... No, I think everything is well, I'm handling everything." But when somebody nearby says, for example, "Did you see our classmate? Must be so stupid to make that kind of mistake!" the person with 3L is startled, their thoughts racing, "What? A mistake? They don't mean me, right? Or is it me?!" A worry begins.
There is an emotional reaction when somebody says, "Ah, I'm so stupid! I can't do it, can't write that, can't pass that test, can't do homework..." and the person with 3L starts brooding and thinks, "What about me? What about my homework? How am I going to do it?!" If everything is well for you, and you are self-confident, then why are you bothered by someone else's argument-less opinion, someone's grammatical mistakes, why are you so critical towards others? If you are critical towards others, it means that inside you are critical towards yourself, and this is the mechanism of projection. At first it was introjection, when the person got it from the world, from the parental figures, and now they project it onto other people. And it is hard to admit that you've got problems, it is easier to blame everyone else, that they're all stupid, the education in the country is shit, everything is bad because nobody knows anything or knows what they are doing... But you are somehow good. "I'm cool, I know things, I'm an expert." That kind of thinking needs to be questioned within oneself. For example, people with 2L know that and can say, "Yeah, here I didn't get it, and there, hah, I made such a silly mistake! It's alright, I'll figure it out next time." 3L cannot do that, it is way too serious about this, cannot joke about itself and won't let others, because for them this is trauma. And that is also important to understand.
• The final reason why people might not recognise themselves is devaluation. It is when any kind of importance in the intellectual sphere is minimised, when people have such positions as "Education isn't important. Why do you need it in the modern world? I can make money without it, can find work without it." And that's not a just an opinion that is calmly shared, no, the person screams about it, "It's not needed! What's the point of these scientific discussions! We can simply agree on things without all that!" The person screams about their own pain, but cannot allow themselves to accept that it is important to them. That's how devaluation works - minimise the importance, and it seems like you can handle it easier. But in reality, the importance is really big, and the person cannot handle it, so it is easier for them to say, "It is not important, doesn't matter, why play? So childish. We are already old gentlemen. That doesn't make sense!" For example, a video of adult people having fun and playing with toys, they have this inner child, curiosity and interest towards the game, they are able to get immersed in it, and some comments say, "Dear god, adult men and women are doing nonsense." But who says those comments? Those who envy, because they want the same, but they can't admit it, so they minimise, devalue, criticise, "Pfft, I'm too old for this." People can get really rude with that.
In conclusion, 3L is always about an inner conflict, and this inner conflict people understand and see in themselves quite well, they see this raw nerve, this open conflict which sometimes spills out when they don't know, "Should I study this? Will I have enough strength? Should I express my opinion? Should I admit that they're right or not? What is best to do in this situation?" The people with 3L start oscillating and make a lot of mistakes because of their anxiety; instead of calming down, weighing things up, understanding whose voices are inside their head, what they fear, they might be getting flashbacks from their childhood.
The most important question is what to do with this. First of all, you need to admit that you have difficulties. Understand that yes, you have this experience. Take responsibility, "Yes, I had that kind of parents, that kind of life situation." Do not just blame your parental figures for everything. The goal in therapy is to find the source, realise things, accept, take responsibility, and make a decision to change this in you. Decide that you want to learn how to learn!
Some people note that it is hard to get deep into therapy or healing because, once again, it is about curiosity, curiosity towards oneself, exploration of oneself, understanding of difficult nuances. If it is done with a therapist, the person fears being judged, that the therapist might say that their question is stupid, or they suspect that they won't be able to get into it. The goal is to be more open, more brave, not always overly serious, have fun sometimes, connect with your inner child, find joy in life, be in harmony and don't worry that somebody will judge you for a mistake, not being scared to be intellectually challenged. People might start by playing by themselves, perhaps then with another person, and this can help make building relationships with others much easier.
The trauma won't go anywhere, but the intensity of it can, and then you will have more energy for something else, something more meaningful and big. Be real about your difficulties and celebrate every little victory.

Thought I would do an organization prospect break-down at the end of the season. As a means of updating everyone who doesn't follow the system in too much depth or for newer fans. Also something to peak some interest in the team during the off-season things that isn't about complaining on the team.
As always feel free to share your own opinion and don't hesitate to point out any errors and I will fix them up to avoid future confusion.
For organizational purposes and to avoid the post getting too long I have split up the hitters and pitchers. The pitching one will take a little longer to put together due to the larger pool of names and breaking down SP & RP separately.
Excluded: 2B/LF Davis Schneider (24) & 1B/LF Spencer Horwitz (25) & UTL Ernie Clement (27). At this point all three are Major League players, They have no business being in AAA anymore next season if they remain in the organization or not. We also have seen a decent amount of each and I will focus on players we haven't seen too much of yet. I believe all three have lost their prospects status anyways or close to it.
Tier 1: The Elite.

• 2B(3B/SS) Orelvis Martinez (21) $3.5 M IFA in 2018
  • AA: .226/.339/.485/.825 with a 122 wRC+ (14.0% BB vs. 20.5% SO)
  • AAA: .263/.340/.507/.847 with a 105 wRC+ (10.6% vs. 26.8% SO)
    • The prize hitting prospect in the system without question at the moment. His final stats on the system might not seem deserving of that title but they are hampered down with sluggish starts at each level. Martinez finished AA on a monstrous run where he hit .294/.416/.594/1.010 with a 171 wRC+ in 200 PA. He also finished up his AAA season with a sound batting line of .277/.353/.554/.907 with a 118 wRC+ in 175 PA. His bounce-back season after a disastrous 2022 season has put him back at the same level of status, if not higher than he was back in 2021.
    • He has the bat to be an everyday middle-of-the-order hitter for years to come as long as he can continue to maintain his improved plate approach. He has to keep focused on his pitch selection and plate approach. He can hit 30+ HR in his sleep over a full season but how much more depends if he sticks to swinging at pitches in the zone. Finished 2nd in the organization with 28 HR (behind Schneider who had 29). This is after hitting 28 in 2021 and 30 in 2022.
    • In his down 2022 season he had 8.1% BB vs. 28.5% SO but this season has done nearly a 10% swing with a BB rate about 5% higher on average and a SO rate 5% lower on average than last season. Which puts it into a very acceptable range where it won't hurt his overall production. He does at times get over swing happy which in turns gets him into some mini-funks. His ISO power has actually improved this year which is another promising sign.
    • He would have likely already been on the radar of a call-up if he had a defensive position to play and while his bat likely plays to DH you don't want to restrict him to that at such a young age. Originally a SS that was transitioned to 3B and then towards the end of 2023 was being transitioned to 2B after looking brutal at both the other two positions. He still gets the occasional work at SS/3B but there has been a clear focus to 2B now although he still hasn't looked great there either and a look at the OF might be an option. He does have a cannon of an arm which would have been nice at 3B and plays in RF. He also has solid speed but isn't a base stealing threat as he stole just 2 bases all season.
    • Going into next season if he can keep up the good approach and find some stability on defence somewhere then we will no doubt see him at some point next season.

Tier 2: Main Names To Follow.
These are the names to follow going into next season. There is also a good chance if the Blue Jays make any sizeable trade this season these are the names you will see included from the hitters side of thing. These are the names you should universally see on Blue Jays top prospect lists.

• OF Alan Roden (23) - 2022 3rd RP
  • High-A: .321/.437/.459/.895 with a 150 wRC+ (13.0% BB vs. 9.9% SO)
  • AA: .310/.421/.460/.881 with a 147 wRC+ (12.4% BB vs. 15.3% SO)
    • He has a strong case of being the best overall prospect in the system when looking at all aspects of the game. He has the best contact ability the system has seen in years. He will not be cheated and can slap the ball all over the field with little issue but he does it while swinging strictly on pitches in the zone. His BB-SO ratios are the best in the system. With the amount of contact he makes he will be one of the rare players that will always run with a high BABIP. He got on base in 17-of-20 games in AA and 63-of-69 games in A+.
    • His skill set doesn't stop there. He is a converted 1B who now plays both corners of the OF and plays them both very well with no issues with his arm but profiles better at LF. In terms of base-running he is an average runner at best BUT he is very smart on the bases. He went a surprising 24-of-28 in stolen-bases in 2023. If you give him an opening on the bases he will take it and does not run into outs.
    • His one issue has been a lack of power. He so far has been able to outhit the issue but there are concerns if that is sustainable. He has greatly improved his power though than what it was in college. He has an odd swing which he made odder to generate more power. He has gone on power surges BUT hasn't been able to maintain consistently. If he does...Roden suddenly becomes a very special prospect..but even as is he has starter ability.
• OF Jace Bohrofen (21) - 2023 6th RP
  • CPX: .267/.450/.467/.917 with a 148 wRC+ (20.0% BB vs. 30.0% SO)
  • Low-A: .306/.442/.677/1.119 with a 189 wRC+ (19.5% BB vs. 23.4% SO)
    • Already being talked about as one of the biggest steals if the 2023 draft. Coming out of high school he was a near lock for as a 2nd RP but could not be convinced to not go to college. He struggled heavily in college before breaking out huge in his final year hitting .318/.436/.612/1.048. Enough to still peak the Jays interest but a little late to recover his entire draft value. He is already vastly moving up the organization prospect boards.
    • The raw power and exit velocity that come from his bat are nothing short of impressive. He has his tendency to strikeout out a lot but over the last two years he has made that more acceptable by vastly improving his plate approach and taking more walks. Which is a deadly middle of the order combination. Pitch around him and he walks but pitch to him and he crushes you. Him being left-handed is a nice little bonus too. While his other tools aren't stand out he isn't just a bat. He is fairly athletic and provides average defence, arm and base-running.
    • As long as he keeps hitting the way he does there is nothing really stopping him from steam-rolling the system. There is a good chance he will start in High-A next season only after a few months of being drafted. Do not sleep on him for being a 6th RP. He is an upper round talent without any doubt.
• RF(3B/2B/SS) Addison Barger (23) - 2019 6th RP
  • AAA: .250/.353/.403/.756 with a 92 wRC+ (13.1% BB vs. 21.7% SO)
    • Barger final season numbers do not look great as a whole but there is a wider story to look at with his season. Early on he struggled with a shoulder elbow issues which he tried to play through which forced him onto the IL for a month. Upon returning from injury he hit a more respectable .264/.365/.444 with an .809 OPS. He implied at times that throughout the season his shoulder was effecting his power espically towards the end of the season. It will be interesting to see how the power looks in the Spring after healing up. Putting up an OPS of over .800 is still pretty good with a nagging issue.
    • Barger has also become a lot more versatile on the field. He is now predominately a RF where his arm plays very well. He has still routinely gotten starts at 3B, SS & 2B but there has been a large shift in playing the OF now. It will be interesting to see if he continues with a UTL approach or if he sticks to one position or the other. His arms plays well at 3B/RF and while he is athletic enough to play a decent SS he is becoming too big for the position. Scouts haven't been thrilled with his shift off SS though.
    • He impressed in Spring Trainer last season and could very steal a spot this year although there is a good chance he will be the first major call-up mid-season at any of his played positions. His combination of power + eye at the plate will play at the Majors.
• 2B(SS) Leo Jimenez (22) - $825,000 IFA in 2017
  • AA: .287/.372/.436/.808 with a 125 wRC+ (9.6% BB vs. 15.9% SO)
  • AAA: .190/.338/.238/.576 with a 61 wRC+ (11.7% BB vs. 19.5% SO)
    • Jimenez has had a long journey in our farm-system in most part due to nagging injuries. Even this season he had two early season setbacks. He is a well-rounded prospect who always was seen as a low-ceiling / high-floor kind. After he got healthy this season he went on a very strong run batting .295/.379/.461/.839 with a 132 wRC+. He found that little extra power boost he needed to get his offence up which was in part due to getting bigger and a little more aggression. He was also able to maintain his very solid career rates with 9.6% BB 15.9% SO.
    • He is a very good defender at both SS/2B although he lacks a strong arm but makes up for it smart fielding and accurate throws. Does prevent him from playing 3B or OF. Despite having solid speed he doesn't steal bases all too often but is no means a liability. There are still long-time power concerns as his ISO is still rather low so his peak might be an Espinal. type of player He did not look great in his small preview at AAA at the end of the season so he will no doubt get a second chance there at the start of next season. He has been heavily part of trade talks as someone who could backup at SS and potentially stick at 2B even with his power as is.
• 3B(1B) Damiano Palmegiani (23) - 2021 14th RP
  • AA: .249/.351/.463/.815 with a 123 wRC+ (12.6% BB vs. 27.1% SO)
  • AAA: .284/.427/.554/.981 with a 146 wRC+ (15.6% BB vs. 29.2% SO)
    • A prospect underrated by fans and scouts but is loved by the Blue Jays. Loved him so much they drafted him twice as they tried to get the Canadian in the 35th round in 2018. He has produced pretty much every season offensively and showcases some of the best in-game power in the organization. He has now put up an OPS of over .800 for the third straight year.
    • He hit an under-the-radar 23 HR between AA/AAA and finishing only behind Vlad Jr, Martinez & Schneider in the ENTIRE organization. He has maintained a strong ISO & SLG consistently from level to level and required no transitionally period in AAA and found instant success. The power does come at the cost of some really high strikeout numbers but he balances it up with a solid amount of walks.
    • The Blue Jays have really been trying to push him at 3B even though he struggles with errors and is much more suited for 1B. A likely sign they might see him as an option at the hot corner in the near future with Chapman gone and Martinez/Barger moving off the position. He has gone under the radar but got to keep an eye on him. He is in range of a call-up and has the bat to stick somewhere in the lineup even at a DH. Do not be surprised to see him surprise many like Schneider did last season.
    • He is currently in the Arizona Fall League and is hitting .290/.429/.548 with a .977 OPS.
• UTL Rafael Lantigua (25) - IFA in 2017
  • AAA: .305/.425/.469/.893 with a 131 wRC+ (17.0% BB vs. 18.5% SO)
    • By far the lowest ceiling and oldest player at this tier but I felt he deserves some shout-out from his underrated and strong season in AAA. He didn't really fall into any of the other categories. He was overshadowed by the many bigger names at the level. He might not have the highest ceiling but very well can find himself on the 40-Man roster or as a bench playeinjury replacement next season.
    • His hitting was very consistent from the start of the season and was a staple in the AAA lineup hitting anywhere from #1 spot down to the #9 spot. He doesn't shine in any particular aspects but also doesn't really have any glaring weakness. Hits for enough contact, adds in a little pop, takes his walks and avoids too many strikeouts.
    • He is a true utility player and covers 2B/3B/SS/CF/LF/RF although is a much better OF defender than he is on the IF. He also adds in an element of speed and base running having stolen 28 bases. Very respectable bench player ceiling.

Tier 3: There Is Hope.
Solid prospects that are probably outside of the organization Top 30 or come in near the bottom of such lists. They all still have upside and have solid tools but are either lacking an aspect to their game they need to achieve or haven't had a long enough stretch of success. A few listed here struggled with injuries and didn't have the chance to build their resume.

  • Outfielders Dasan Brown (22), Steward Berroa (24), Devonte Brown (24) & Cam Eden (25) are all very similar in nature. They are speed demons with solid to strong OF defence. Dasan Brown is the fastest runner in the system and stole 26 bases, Steward Berroa stole 47 bases and is considered the smartest runner in the system, Devonte Brown stole a solid 21 bases with best bat of the bunch and Cam Eden led the entire system this season with 53 stolen-bases. They all are not the greatest hitters either and as such all profile as 4th OF or bench options. If any of them are able to breakout offensively you have yourself a well rounded Major Leaguer. Expect 1 of these 4 to for sure be on the 40 at all times. Dasan Brown is currently hitting .348/.407/.522 with a .929 OPS in the Arizona Fall League and must be noted that he needs to be added to the 40.
  • Zach Britton (25) was looking like a potential breakout option after a strong offensive season in 2022 and performance at the AFL but missed most of this season with injuries. He still put up a solid 120 wRC+ backed by a strong 26.7% BB. In the same sense Alex De Jesus (22) finished the season with an overall decent .248/.340/.466 line out was really hampered by two separate injuries at the start and end of the season that drastically hurt his play/numbers. Both players are talented but we have to see what they can do with a full healthy season. UTL Otto Lopez (25) is in a similar ballpark having missed most of the year with injuries or was trying to play through them and put up horrendous numbers. His situation is a little more tricky as he is out of options so his time in the organization might be coming to an end.
  • Peyton Williams (23) a 7th RP from 2022, Michael Turconi (24) a 15th RP from 2022 & Ryan McCarty (24) an un-drafted FA from 2022 are some surprising late draft success stories from the previous draft. All had very respectable seasons despite not having any noteworthy expectations or tools. With them it is a question of can they repeat it next season or even better take another step forward. Turconi especially should be monitored...in High-A he got on base at least once in 67 of 70 games he started. That is not a typo...he got on base in 95.7% of the games he started. One of those games was the first game of the season too. He also hit for the cycle in a game and had a 15 game-hitting streak. Finished with a strong .299/.418/.486/.904. The main reason Turconi isn't in the next tier is that he still overaged for his level but if he maintains this hitting as he moves up so will his value.
  • SS Josh Kasevich (22) & 2B Cade Doughty (22) probably have the most upside of the players at this tier and both had up-and-down season with especially brutal starts. The two are often compared to Tucker Toman as all 3 were drafted close together in the 2022 draft. Doughty hit a respectable .264/.342/.459 with an OPS of .801 while hitting a solid 18 HR on the season. He struggles mightily with strikeouts though with a 29.7% rate which needs to be improved on if he wants future success. Kasevich is the exact opposite player. His eye and plate approach is elite as shown by his 9.9% BB vs. 10.7% SO but has negative power. Although it is something he was working on throughout the season and saw some improvement on later in the season.

Tier 0: Too Young/Inexperienced.
These players all have the required tools and have showed early signs of becoming legitimate high-ranked prospects but are still in their teens and have a ways to progress. They all have minimal in-game actions to truly place their value. They could completely flame out or be at the top of the organization in a year-or-two.

No real point in discussing their individual stat lines or progress at this point. All spending their time in Low-A or at the complex with the focus of their season being growth and practice. These are prospects that are hard to value cause the range of outcome for this is still very much large. I did put these in order of most to least potential.

  • The players listed here still have age on their side and have shown flashes of promise but need some sort of break-out to become a true prospect of note. Also important to note that catchers in particular are very slow developers so several of the names here might not show much at all until years down the road.
  • There are some noteworthy names here: SS Manuel Beltre was the Blue Jays top international free agent signing from 2021. He has struggled to hit consistently but has a strong glove and speed. If he can tap into the power even a little he could rocket up the list. 2B Adrian Pinto was acquired from the Grichuk trade with COL. He has strong on-base skills and a great eye at the plate which leads to overall strong offence (114 wRC+) but has minimal power so the overall offence will be hard to sustain moving up the system. OF Gabriel Martinez looked like a true breakout talent last season after posting 135 wRC+ in A and then a 141 wRC+ in AA but crashed down to Earth this season with a 82 wRC+. Could have been an off year so interesting to see what adjustments he makes next season. 1B Rainer Nunez was one of the sleeper prospects of the system after crushing all of CPX/A/A+ last season but hit a break wall in AA. Still has massive raw power, arguably second best in the system but needs to make more a lot contact for it to have any meaning.

  • All getting up there in age at this point. All with minimum success. Many are the organization as veteran depth especially at the catcher position to work with the young pitchers or as emergency roster depth with no DFA hesitation. Expect a large turnover in these names in the off-season with many being let-go and replaced. Several of these names will likely also be picked in the Rule-5 Draft (Minors Portion).

There are also several other prospects not listed here who spent most of the season in the Dominican League, deeply locked inside the complex or haven't debuted yet in any capacity that I simply cannot keep track of. Saying that if they were someone to be aware of there name likely would have popped up at some point...

When compared with their peers who report fewer partners, those who self-report 20 or more in their lifetime are:

• Twice as likely to have ever been divorced (50 percent vs. 27 percent)
  
• Three times as likely to have cheated while married (32 percent vs. 10 percent)

A group of voters from the baseball subreddit were each tasked with ranking their top 100 players in MLB. #80 - Oneil Cruz - Pittsburgh Pirates - Shortstop

Billed as an athletic prospect with two plus-plus tools, Oneil Cruz burst onto the scene this year displaying all of that and then some. When I say “that”, of course I am referring to his 97.8 MPH throw from short to first and his 122.4 MPH exit velo on a line drive single off the RF wall–both statcast era records. The Dominican-born rookie showed he was human still, posting one of the highest K% of his career at any level, but possesses the ability to make the extraordinary look rather ordinary.
What strikes me most about Oneil is just the sound that is emitted from his bat. Search any video on Baseball Savant or Youtube of his extra base hits, they all sound the same. A terrifyingly loud crack–or better yet, explosion–as if a party snap is employed for extra effect. But there’s no party favors here, just an incredibly large frame generating next-level bat speed that’s ready to inflict punishment on the unfortunate white pearl next selected to face the wrath of Cruz.
His rather large frame leads to some defensive clunkiness at a position so often left to players of shorter stature. Then again, at 6’7” there aren’t many taller in MLB’s history books. And even if he never overcomes that, his pure athleticism may allow him to play almost anywhere on the diamond. Especially at the plate, Cruz has shown an ability to adapt and adjust, projecting forward as a crucial player and human highlight reel for years to come.

Could George Kirby be the breakout pitcher of 2023? The former Elon standout was already strong in his first stint with the Mariners. He placed sixth in AL Rookie of the Year voting and finished with a 3.39 ERA and 2.99 FIP over 130 innings. His mix of strikeout stuff (9.2 K/9) and control (1.5 BB/9) was his calling card. That 6.05 K/BB ratio was sixth among starters with at least 130 innings pitched, with only Aaron Nola, Kevin Gausman, Max Scherzer, Corey Kluber and Justin Verlander ahead of him. The development of his secondary pitches will likely determine if he’s due for a big breakout. Otherwise, he’ll remain a stabilizing — if unexciting — force in Seattle’s rotation.

#78 - Jazz Chisholm - Miami Marlins - Second Baseman

I guess no one told Jazz that 2022 wasn’t a pandemic-shortened season, and that he’d need to play a full 162-game slate in order to appear on the end-of-season leaderboards. Still, the 60-game appetizer Jazz offered up in 2022 was tantalizing: in only 241 PAs, Jazz posted a career high triple-slash (.254/.325/.535), upped his walk rate (6.7% to 8.7%), and lowered his strikeout rate (28.6% to 27.4%). His .282 ISO and 20 PA per SB rate were also towards the top of the class in those respective categories. Defensively, he looked right at home at 2B, where he’s likely to play for as long as Miguel Rojas remains a Marlin. While there’s some uncertainty as to how these improvements will hold up over the course of a full season, there’s a lot to be excited about in 2023, where Jazz can hopefully play a full season as the Marlins’ table-setter.

#77 - Emmanuel Clase - Cleveland Guardians - Right-Handed Pitcher

Emmanuel Clase started his pro-baseball career as a 17 year old in the Padres system. In typical Preller fashion, he traded a future star in his minor league system, this time to Texas. During an ill-fated attempt at contending, the Rangers traded Clase to Cleveland in a franchise defining blunder. This is the story of the Guardians electric closer, holding dominance over opposing hitters in the late innings. His iconic cutter reaches 99 MPH and opponents only hit .180 off it in '22. He contrasts this with a devastating slider than manages to fool even the best hitters.
Name a pitching statistic, and Clase will be near the top of the list. His 1.97 xERA, 3.7% BB%, and .219 xwOBA are all mind bending numbers to read. His 42 saves last season represent his usefulness in the Guardian's surprise season, and he's not even 25 yet! If you're into rating relievers on any top 100 list, Clase deserves to be the top AL closer you rank- and maybe the best overall.

#76 - Matt Chapman - Toronto Blue Jays - Third Baseman

Following the 2021 season, the Toronto Blue Jays elected to depart from their platoon situation at 3rd base between potential rising star Santiago Espinal and core utility player Cavan Biggio and decided to find themselves a more permanent replacement at the hot corner. Toronto ultimately took a chance on a former 1st rounder out of the Oakland A’s organization. After an arguably disappointing 2021 season where he posted the worst OPS+ of his career, Matt Chapman rebounded during his first season with the Blue Jays. His K% dipped from the low to mid 30’s in 2020 and ‘21 to 27.5% in 2022 while improving his ISO 11 points year over year. Despite not being the offensive powerhouse as showcased in his age 25 and 26 seasons (posting an OPS of .864 and .848, respectively), his percentile rankings when compared to his hitting peers continues to highlight Chapman’s ability to barrel the ball (88th percentile), his patience at the plate (chase rate 98th percentile; BB% 84th percentile), and his overall offensive value (3.4 oWAR). In addition to Chapman’s production at the plate, his defensive abilities were on display once again, posting positive metrics in OAA (+1), DRS (+2), and UZR (+2.5). Chapman appears to be a solid stopgap for Toronto as they continue to build their core; however, with sustained ~30 HR potential at one of the most difficult defensive positions in the game, Chapman should expect to be courted by nearly half the league as he enters free agency in 2024.

#75 - Tommy Edman - St. Louis Cardinals - Second Baseman

The Cardinals’ utility man is coming off a strong campaign, putting up 6.4 WAR and playing all but 9 games of the regular season. After winning a Gold Glove in 2021 playing mostly at second base and some outfield duties, he started to see his time relatively split between second and shortstop in 2022. It seems St. Louis values his defense to the point of seeing him as their potential starting shortstop moving forward, and all signs point to the starting job being his in 2023. Moving his elite glove provides manager Oliver Marmol with a three-headed defensive monster of Arenado, Edman and Goldschmidt in the infield, with second base likely to be filled by fellow utility man Brendan Donovan or recent graduate Nolan Gorman. Combining this defense with scary speed, smart baserunning, and hard contact that generates lots of extra base hits creates an impressive profile. Edman may fly under the radar next to his MVP-level teammates, but don’t be surprised to see him turn some heads if he continues this trajectory.

#74 - Brandon Lowe - Tampa Bay Rays - Second Baseman

Injuries ruined Lowe’s 2022 season, as he played in just 65 games and was clearly diminished at the plate. When he’s at full strength there’s no doubt Lowe is one of the league’s top second basemen, as he blasted 39 home runs and posted a 137 wRC+ in 2021, his last full season. Lowe has been the engine of the Tampa Bay offense since their 2020 World Series appearance and a return to form would be significant for the club’s success this year.

#73 - Joe Musgrove - San Diego Padres - Right-Handed Pitcher

The Padres, in their biggest game of the season to that point, turned to Musgrove for an elimination Game 3 of the Wild Card Series during their October playoff run. Facing a Mets lineup that was one of the best in all of baseball, on the road nonetheless, Musgrove proceeded to pitch a game so nasty that the Mets thought he had to be cheating -- demanding the umpires to check his ears for a foreign substance. Musgrove was clean, of course, and San Diego advanced on the back of his 7 inning, one hit performance.
Musgrove added his first All-Star Game nomination in 2022 to his list of accomplishments that include pitching a no-hitter in 2021 and a World Series ring with Houston in 2017. In August the Padres wisely locked him up for the next five years on a $100 million deal.

#72 - Matt Olson - Atlanta Braves - First Baseman

The prodigal Matt returned home to Georgia earlier this year, going from Oakland to Atlanta in a blockbuster trade. Lets get the negatives out of the way- yes, he's the slowest player in baseball and his once-incredible defense has dulled since his OAA peak in 2019. After a dismal '20 season, Olson put forth one helluva comeback in '21, posting 5+ fWAR. In comparison, his '22 campaign may seem a bit more depressing (3.1 fWAR) but not to fear. Olson still clung on to a +10% BB rate, improved his hard hit% into the highest tier of hitters, and finished top 15 in barrels.
His batting eye is superb, his power awe-inspiring. Not to mention, for a brief time at the start of the summer he held the active consecutive games played streak. If the previous two years have shown the baseball world anything, it's to not count out Matt Olson and his ability to improve and elevate his game at the plate to awesome levels.

#71 - Yu Darvish - San Diego Padres - Right-Handed Pitcher

Few players are more visually satisfying to watch than Darvish, who takes advantage of six-plus pitches to dice up batters. Fortunately for San Diego, Darvish’s continued artistry came with a rebound in results in 2022, as he pitched to a 3.10 ERA over 194.2 innings in his second year with the Padres. The strikeouts ticked down a little bit, understandable considering he was in his age-35 season, but his control and contact prevention were as good as they’ve ever been.
The keys for Darvish going forward will be if he can maintain the quality of his stuff through his late 30s and his reliable innings production, having staved away lengthy time on the injured list over the past four seasons. Darvish has exhibited enough creativity and adaptability that should solidify him as one of the Padres' rotation aces in what could be one of the biggest seasons in franchise history.

Multiple studies have consistently found several key factors associated with infidelity in relationships. One of the strongest predictors is the number of past sexual partners, as individuals with a higher count tend to be more prone to infidelity. Permissive attitudes towards sex, a willingness to engage in casual sex without emotional commitment, and a history of promiscuity are also strongly correlated with infidelity. It’s noted that past behavior, particularly the number of prior sexual partners, serves as a robust predictor of future infidelity. Additionally, factors like early onset of sexual activity, an avoidant romantic style, and a propensity for casual sex are linked to a greater likelihood of betrayal within relationships. A third factor is a person’s attitudes toward casual sex. People who strongly believe in sex as an expression of love within a committed relationship are less likely to stray compared with those who have a past of multiple sex partners. That former playboy is unlikely to be good husband material.

for some reason the mod list is in reverse.

My ex and I broke up 1 month ago now. We were together only 7 months but would spend almost everyday together, shower together, eat every meal and even literally feed eachother. I thought I finally found the love of my life. But there were signs I couldn't ignore. Lots of guy "friends" and still talked to her exes. I can't imagine she was cheating because she was always with me. But I could see both narcisitic and bipolar tendencies. She wouldn't take her meds because she wanted to drink alcohol. She had quite the past with threesomes and cheating on her exes and doing coke and being an addict in general. I thought she was better now. Until that fateful date night where we went everywhere and bar hopped and I seen that change where the alcohol made the devil come out it her. I seen it just once before. Her eyes gloss over and she wouldn't even look me in the eyes. She started flirting with two men at the bar right in front of me. I have never felt so small. Like I was nothing. Like I wasn't worthy after all I gave her for months... Everyday... Rubbing her head to sleep everynight and kissing her hand. Picking her flowers. Opening car doors. Words of love... I had to watch my girl pack all her things in such a hurry to go have sex with two strangers and do coke while I begged and could do nothing but give her the halloween costume I just bought her as a surprise and watch her go do the worst thing that has ever been done to me... I went to chase her and cut my barefoot on a rusty bottlecap and have been stuck in bed or hospitals or at doctors offices all alone for this past month. And the things she texted me the next day were so dark hurtful and wretched I dare even repeat them here. She had them both at the same time and gave them her body... And parts of her body that she never gave me. She said she performed acts on them that she never performed on me in the times of our deepest passion in all the nights that I knew her... I did nothing to deserve what poison was being spewn at me and yet she made me still feel like I deserved it? She still justifies it in the name of good fun or blaming me for being too kind to her... How can I know that I am not the one to blame and yet still be manipulated in such a way and gaslit and attacked by this narcissistic demon (named Angel ironically) that it was somehow my fault that the worst nightmare that came true is my fault somehow? I knew that night that evil exists. She took my heart, my body (with my foot being so infected I can't walk since then!), she took what feels like my mind. My ex and I broke up 1 month ago now. We were together only 7 months but would spend almost everyday together, shower together, eat every meal and even literally feed eachother. I thought I finally found the love of my life. But there were signs I couldn't ignore. Lots of guy "friends" and still talked to her exes. I can't imagine she was cheating because she was always with me. But I could see both narcisitic and bipolar tendencies. She wouldn't take her meds because she wanted to drink alcohol. She had quite the past with threesomes and cheating on her exes and doing coke and being an addict in general. I thought she was better now. Until that fateful date night where we went everywhere and bar hopped and I seen that change where the alcohol made the devil come out it her. I seen it just once before. Her eyes gloss over and she wouldn't even look me in the eyes. She started flirting with two men at the bar right in front of me. I have never felt so small. Like I was nothing. Like I wasn't worthy after all I gave her for months... Everyday... Rubbing her head to sleep everynight and kissing her hand. Picking her flowers. Opening car doors. Words of love... I had to watch my girl pack all her things in such a hurry to go have sex with two strangers and do coke while I begged and could do nothing but give her the halloween costume I just bought her as a surprise and watch her go do the worst thing that has ever been done to me... I went to chase her and cut my barefoot on a rusty bottlecap and have been stuck in bed or hospitals or at doctors offices all alone for this past month. And the things she texted me the next day were so dark hurtful and wretched I dare even repeat them here. She had them both at the same time and gave them her body... And parts of her body that she never gave me. She said she performed acts on them that she never performed on me in the times of our deepest passion in all the nights that I knew her... I did nothing to deserve what poison was being spewn at me and yet she made me still feel like I deserved it? She still justifies it in the name of good fun or blaming me for being too kind to her... How can I know that I am not the one to blame and yet still be manipulated in such a way and gaslit and attacked by this narcissistic demon (named Angel ironically) that it was somehow my fault that the worst nightmare that came true is my fault somehow? I knew that night that evil exists. She took my heart, my body (with my foot being so infected I can't walk since then!), she took what feels like my mind. Hi all!
TL;DR: Wife wants divorce, I've accepted and respect the decision, but feel like I'm missing something, somewhere along the line.
I don't really post on Reddit too often and don't intend to make a habit of it but at this moment in time I'd like to share my story and hear from people who have a similar story, or any thoughts, feelings or ideas they'd like to share. I suppose it feels like the end of a chapter at this moment and maybe its best I just get it all out so I don't think about it too much.
My wife and I have known each other since around early-mid 2016, we were both 16 at the time. We made friends through the internet. I lived in Spain (originally from the UK), she lived in the US. At first, we were great friends and I was even being her wingman at some point because she liked some guy, she told me about it, and so I got into a call with them and tried to set them up, left the call shortly after. After I she told me that wasn't going anywhere, I realized I had developed feelings for her, but nothing too strong. A kind of fondness that I couldn't ignore but could keep to myself as I thought necessary.
As you can probably tell, that didn't exactly work out. One night at a party, she was texting me on Snapchat or something and I was so ecstatic seeing her name pop up on my phone. I went to a quiet corner for a minute, called her (drunk) and told her I loved her and had feelings for her. She said the same. The next day, I obviously felt really bad and like I had come on too strong and that it would have ruined our great friendship, as if I had made a fool of myself. She assured me she felt the same and we started dating long distance from there. She sent me a letter and a bottlecap necklace with my favorite band's logo on it for my 17th birthday. No one had ever cared about me like that, I was so dead set on being with her.
She had many personal issues at home, mental health, etc. which I'm not going to put on blast. But, in November 2016, she had to go away for a while. Without warning, no word from her, her family, anything. I kept in contact with one of her family members who just told me to be patient and that we would find out what had happened soon. A few weeks rolled by and I found it unbearable, not only this, but I was living in a house with my step-dad, as my mother had passed away the year before. He tried his best, but he was awful to me, like he had to my older brother before he left. I felt like I had lost everything and did so many stupid things (drinking, etc.).
After a month of self pity I finally decided to move out and go back to England. I went back home, lived with my dad, expressed everything I was feeling to him and he looked after me well.
Before I moved back, an ex girlfriend of mine (who was living in the UK) just asked how I was doing. I explained the situation to her and she felt sorry for me and kept checking in on me, but she was delighted that I was moving to the UK. Following a couple of months of waiting and not knowing what was going on, being convinced by this "friend" that she(now wife) had left, I convinced myself to let go and move on. This friend wasn't as much of a friend as she seemed and we quickly fell into a relationship, which I welcomed at the time. This started falling through quickly, however, as she wouldn't get a job, was a general nuisance, didn't respect me or my family...
Around 4 months later, I get a message on Google hangouts from (now wife), she explained the situation, said sorry, wanted to be together. I told her I'm sorry but I have someone (as shit as it was to be with her) and that "I've sorted myself out. Got a job, started college blah blah blah. Let's be friends." She agreed, but still told me exactly how she felt. Almost every time we spoke, it would come up in conversation, in the form of a joke or some sort of comment. We spoke infrequently, probably every couple of weeks. She told me she had a boyfriend, was moving on, etc. I was happy for her.
Then one day (at this point, I had broken up with the girlfriend that refused to get a job. She ended up being a cheater) she messaged me about her boyfriend, told me that she couldn't say that she loved him, didn't think it was right, thought he was bad for her. I comforted her and asked her why, she said she was still in love with me. She gave me a lot to think about and probably more chances than I deserved to reconcile, but I still declined.
Xmas rolled around, I was on my way to my grandmother's house for a family gathering and a song that I hadn't really heard since (wife) and I were first together came on the Spotify shuffle thingy, so I put the whole album on and I felt this wave of emotion just wash over me. I instantly messaged her something to the tune of "Hey, Merry Christmas, I hope you have a good one. I'm listening to (album) on the way to my Grandma's house and it made me think of you..." She responded within the next week or so. We agreed to talk further. I was still unsure for another 3-4 months until we decided to video call and as soon as I saw her I knew that I couldn't stop those feelings anymore.
We got back together in April 2018, and we got married in July 2018. I wasn't sure about marriage at first, but I had already taken that chance on her and I trusted her wholly, that this relationship would last through thick and thin, sticking by each other no matter what. Every year since then we had a visit. I went there first for 3 months, then again the next year for 3 months, last year she came here for a month. She went back as happy as can be, absolutely shining, personal account from her therapist and friends.
Since then, shortcomings on my end, shortcomings on hers, its come to an end on her terms. She didn't slowly become another person, it almost happened overnight, or at least it appears that way. I had been neglectful, critical, maybe even harsh on some things. She had hidden her feelings from me, wouldn't communicate and wouldn't listen to me (my own fault, really). This went on for about a year, I didn't spend my time trying to understand, she spent time trying to give me a chance to see what I was doing wrong and how she was hurting but I just couldn't see it through my own shit. I thought I was hurting but she must have been destroyed, I can't imagine feeling that way for so long. I was no longer the man she had married, nor a better man.
Obviously, all of this eventually came out, accusations here, blame there. Begging and pleading, crying and forgiving. Through all of it, I thought we could try to wipe the slate clean, forgive and move forward. We've attended 2 sessions of marriage counselling, while she attends her own counselling, I've been doing a lot of self reflection the last 2 months and I've identified my issues and I'm doing something about them every day, trying as hard as I can for myself, but it ultimately helps the marriage, too.
She says that she's been trying but her feelings haven't changed. It's only been 2 months and 2 counselling sessions since the topic of separation and ultimately divorce was even brought into the picture, I feel she hasn't look inward at all, if so very little and I feel very sorry that she's come to this conclusion.
Three days ago, we were talking, laughing, she told me that she loved me and kissed me down the phone. This went on for another day, then yesterday she came out of her counselling session and she says that it should have ended when we had a spat, when we blocked and did other hurtful things. She said she understands if I don't want to speak to her, all the other usual stuff but she sounded completely emotionless, like she didn't give a shit anymore (which is fair enough I guess). Just half a day after telling me she loved me, smiling away, kissing me through the phone. She doesn't even want to continue counselling, not even to resolve issues, apparently there's nothing to resolve, although I can think of multiple things off the top of my head.
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't hurt, of course I am, but I've let her go so I can continue to better myself. There were nasty traits I had developed, some nasty traits she had developed and if we have to spend some time apart to sort ourselves out then so be it. Maybe in the future we can reconcile? I never really liked the idea of separation, but if she's going through some major stuff, especially with her mental health, then I'm all for it, I wish she would have told me that months ago when it first came up, it would have saved a lot of heartache and unnecessary pleading and crying from me.
All I know is that it feels like there's something I'm missing here, something that I'm not being told. As far as I know, there's no infidelity, I trust she's not the type to cheat, but I don't know if there's someone else and that's the reason? Is she just sick of me? Does she just want to be alone for a while? She's tried to give me reasons, as far as I've seen its just that she doesn't want to be with me anymore without much more explanation. I guess she doesn't see hope? But she's told me she "sees so much potential, that she really badly wants to say yes to reconciliation but doesn't want to do that to herself, she's seen some of my changes, she will always love me and care about me."
We have such a beautiful story, I will cherish it forever, it's just a shame she doesn't want to make new ones with a clean slate and a new relationship. I can live without her, I can thrive without her, but I'd much rather do everything with her by my side. I'm sure there are plenty of you in the same boat or have been here before.
Do you think reconciliation is possible? Even after her resistance and her pushing back, not willing to work on things any longer, wanting a divorce? I personally think yes, but I'm definitely not holding out hope or betting on it in any regard (as much as I'd like to).
