2024.05.21 03:40 Glittering-List-1210 Boyfriend ko tropa ng ex fling ko

It was happened last year april 2023. So the next day napagdesisyunan namin mag swimming with her family. So bilang city girl sige mag go with the flow ako . Nag stay ako sa pinsan ko for one week at that time sa one week na yun may nangyayari samin pero di kami ,ni walang ligawan na naganap. Umuwi ako at nakabalik na ako sa lugar ko pero may contact ba kami sa isat isa. Fast forward, lagi kami naguusap, nag kaka chat, nag uupdate kahit di kami, literal na walang label w/ benifits. But after a month nagkita kami ulit kasi paalis na sya pa abroad so matic alam na.
So ako im still single that time pumayag ako pero after 2 months pa ako makakapunta dyan dahil tambak ako ng trabaho. Thats it. So one week from now uuwi ako sa province for 3 days vacation.

2024.05.20 18:15 TranslatorChemical49 [IWantOut] 18F Med Student Hong Kong -> US/UK/Aus/NZ

Hi there, I'm desperately looking for some advice and direction, so anything is much appreciated. For some context, I'm a med student currently in Hong Kong. I have been an immigrant for my whole life, and actually am from India. I have always LONGED to move abroad, and that desire has gotten stronger after getting into university, because I never feel like I belong to this city, and language barrier has been the bane to my existence. I have learned the local language since I immigrated, about 12 years, yet I struggle so much, and I realize even if I gain fluency, I will never be apart of the culture or accepted by the locals. So despite being a local, I feel like an outsider and this has caused my family a lot of serious issues too...so I just know I have to leave and move to a better place. I don't have much roots, my parents are very antisocial so dont have much friends or relatives or anything in this city, though my parents are my everything. And wherever I move, I would want them to come along, even if it takes a few years. (I know it may not be something everyone agree one, but when you've had no one in your life other than 2 important precious people, you would not want to lose them)
So as I am a medical student, it complicates things by A LOT, like the whole licensing process especially. I have only been looking into English-speaking countries, so that makes it US, UK, Australia and New Zealand. Any country which's main language isnt English is off-limits, because I'm done with that, Hong Kong was an experience enough. So here is somethings I think about each country, now if you have any advice, any remark, I would really really appreciate it. If you know someone that pathway or smth, that would be incredible.
USA - I am definitely appealed by the american dream but really not sure it exists. Hong Kong has been an extremely safe place so safety hasnt ever been an issue but with my research, I'm quite concerned about the issues revolving gun possessions, school shootings, and also insane medical expenses (the privation threatens basic human rights) also the work culture which isnt that big of an issue but docs have poor lifestyle. As for the licence, I will have do to many exams (USMLE Step 1-3) and more, and residency is gonna be tough, but after that the salary is great and so I can afford things like house and my parent's retirement so I'm happy with that. But MY UTMOST MAIN CONCERN aside from guns and all, is the visa procedure, I can probs get green card over time but it will take more than a decade for my parents to ever get green card. And my parents will age, so it wont be worth the wait. I have researched as much as I could, but if you know any other pathway to which this wont be such an issue, please let me know.
UK - The lifestyle is much better and way safer than USA, near Europe too so cheap travels. But the salary for NHS doctor, truly sucks like its so poor, I don't think I could buy a house or you know be able to have some basic posessions. The work-life balance is great, but if I can't have a decent pay that I'm not sure how survivable it is. As for the visa thing, I don't think its as bad as US and there is some way I can bring my parents, but it makes no sense if I don't have money to even bring them.
Australia - This is something only recently I have considerently. Haven't done much research as a result, but general consensus is the pay is great (similar to HK where I live). But this is so incredible stupid to say, but I am so so so terrified of wildlife, the spiders and snakes get to my nerves (this is the only irrational fear I have, and it runs deep). I know its so stupid but pls tell me what you think. And even if I get over the fear (which I totally get is stupid), the waiting time for parent visa is a minimum 12 yr, sounds like worse than USA in that case.
New Zealand - THIS IS MY TOP CHOICE RN, again I'm in an uncertain place but so far this has seemed the most realistic and appealing. Docs' salaries are decent like about USD $5k monthly, isnt good nor as bad as UK. But the cost of living is quite high because its located so secluded from the whole world. Travelling is going to be so costly and so is living cuz grocery shopping is insane, though I do think in time I will be able to buy a house, and the living is slow-paced, the healthcare is free or at least not as costly in general. My main concerns are travelling issues (because I still would want to travel once a year back to my hometown or some vacation), and high cost of living (to pay for my parent's living, buy a house, perhaps have a family in the future). Also for the visa thing, is seemingly doable as I can get citizenship in 2 years and I need to meet the salary requirement to get parental visa for my parents, which is a bit high but shouldn't be a big problem. (but high cost of living is a big big issue)
The licensing isnt the biggest concern for others compare to USA, because if I want to pass those exams, I need to start studying like from this year (and I just finished the first year of medical school, and 5 more years to go). That is why I am thinking about it, I don't know and have got no one for guidance. Just know that mainly my parents are a big priority to me, and I want them to move with me, I want to have a good pay so I can afford a house and also again my parents can live with me, the only luxury I truly want is just a house and enough money to go to vacation once a year (could be hometown India, or somewhere Europe). The salary here in Hong Kong is so awesome for docs, even the starting one so it concerns me a lot that I am taking it for granted but literally I am so alone and isolated and medical school has really put it into perspective that I am always an outsider despite my attempts. Having a direction or doing research onto this plan so I can start preparing is the only thing going me.
I know no place is going to perfect, and my parents wont be simultaneously move with me, it will take some time (a few years are ok, like 3-4 yrs). Just realized, I missed out canada, I actually have not thought about it. Lemme know what you think.

2024.05.20 15:49 Fickle_Music_788 Anyone got a complete list of episodes missing on Paramount Plus?

I just noticed that All Growed Up (the 40 minute special, not the spinoff series) is not available on Paramount+, at least not in Australia. My memory of every single episode past Season 5 is hazy, are there other ones also not on Paramount+ or other online services?
On another note, is buying the complete box set is worth it?
EDIT: Just noticed that the Vacation special is also missing! NOOOOOOOO, I LOVED that one! 😢

Race Information

Goals

Goal Description Completed?
A New PR Yes

2 Full ....

Intro

Hello running, it's been a while since I (M,38) posted my last report! 3+ years since my last marathon (3.16) that was in Dubai during covid and was self supported. Lots has changed since then... I now live with my family in Australia and yesterday I tackled the Great Ocean Road Marathon, my 5th marathon.

Training

Note for readers: paces are in min/km.
I started targeting a marathon after doing my first half Ironman (HIM) in November 2023. I was a bit upset with my triathlon run time (1.45) so 2 weeks after the HIM I ran a 1.28 half marathon (self supported). This was a 3minute pr and it sparked my desire to run another full marathon. I first tried to enter Melbourne Marathon but it was sold out so I searched for other local races and found the Great Ocean road Marathon. I signed up without wasting any time as all these events sell out before you know it. I told my brother about it that lives in Europe and is also a runner and funnily he was reading the lonely planet guide for the best marathons in the world, and this one was on the list! I had about 6 months to get into marathon shape but with Christmas in between and a big vacation to Vietnam planned in January I really started following the plan from early Feb. My race plan is based on Pfitzinger's advanced marathon training (70km average weekly volume, peaking at 90km) but I followed it loosely as I was swapping 1 run per week for a bike session and had a few longer than usual long runs!
The body was feeling good up to mid March. I knew about the course being hilly so I did most of my runs on the hills near the city (Yarra bend park). Unfortunately on one of the long runs I pushed the downhills too hard and my IT band flared up. I had suffered from IT band pain several years ago so I knew there was something wrong and decided to stop training for a few days. On the Tuesday the knee was still hurting despite rest and meds so I booked an appointment with a physio. Fearing for the worst I thought I had to cancel the race. She confirmed that the problem was with the IT band however wasn't concerned for the marathon. With 2 months left there was plenty of time to keep fit and strengthen the muscles. The physio gave me weekly plans of run/walks, hill reps (walking back), cadence exercises and strengthening exercises. The rehab went fairly well and 1000s of 1 leg squats later I would be ready for the race. In hindsight I think the IT band issue was a blessing in disguise as I did a lot of strengthening work that I had never done before.
In April I also casually met a group of runners that run around a track near my apartment on Tuesday mornings. The workout is the same each week. 6x1000 with 90s standing rest. Getting speed work done regularly with a group is great. You manage to push your pace so much more when everyone around you is faster. Track Tuesdays became a regular appointment and the workout I was most looking forward too all week. I'd do reps in the 3.20/3.30 range. One week I decided to push one rep at max effort to see if I could stick with the front pack and PR 'd my 1km time (3.05).
PR'ing has been a common theme for me in the last 2 months! I brought down my 1km, 5km (18.30) 10km (37.50) times and also came 1st in my age group and 7th overall at my local Parkrun (900+ participants).
By the end of April I was fully healed from the IT band issues and managed to run up to 39km as my longest run completely pain free. Taper time! I'm not a fan of the taper as for some reason all sorts of pains pop out randomly for a few days and then disappear. I read these are called phantom pains and I've accepted them now as they always pop up during the taper and disappear on race day. In any case the 2 weeks went by quickly and it was finally race weekend!

Race

Saturday morning we did our weekly 5km family run with my wife, older son on his bike and little one in the running stroller. Then we drove down to Lorne where some friends were waiting for us at their place. After a great meal and a decent 6 hour sleep I woke up at 4am. I waited till 6 to have breakfast and then at 7 walked down to the race village. At 7.30 I did my 10min warmup jog, stretched, took a few pics with the family near the ocean and then headed to the starting line. The weather was great at the start around 10C (50F) and not much wind.
I knew I had enough fitness to beat my previous PR of 3:16 so I set a more ambitious goal: Run the marathon in under 3:08. This is my dad's marathon PR from 30 years ago! He transmitted his passion for long distance running to me and I always considered that time to be the ultimate challenge. As the route is hilly with about 500m of positive elevation and I saw the forecast being windy with headwinds up to 30kph (20MPH) picking up towards the second half I decided to start the first km with the 4.30 pace group but then speed up the first half and take advantage of the better weather and slow down the second half. I know, I know, theory says to run equal splits...
I passed the half marathon in 1:29 a bit faster than planned but still plenty of energy and a great mood. Running up hill wasn't too bad and running down was fealing great. I had a good group of runners around me and we'd take turns leading the pack to shield the wind for others. In a race where there is almost no one chearing for you for 44km this was a great way to keep the spirits up. There are 3 main hills, Mt. Defiance at the 7km mark, then the hill after Kennet river at 22km and Cape Patton after Grey river at approx 26km. This one is the hardest in my opinion. Not too steep but long. When you think it's over and it flattens out, you turn the corner expecting to go down, instead it climbs a bit further. I finally arrived at the top passing the 28km mark in 2 hours... and here, mother nature decided to turn the challenge up a notch! The group had thinned out by now so I was on my own. Rain started pouring and the headwind started blowing hard. From this point I slowed down to a 4.45 pace doing math in my head calculating my finish time still under 3:08.
Gel after gel, km after km the finish line was getting closer. Rain would come and go, wind was always there.
37&38 -5min pace need to speed up
39- 4.45 going well, hang on
41- 5 minutes time to push the last km
42- 4.30, last 195m

Marathon! 3.06.42!

New PR, goal achieved, huge smile on my face... Still 2+ km to go for the finish line... Yep because this mara is actually a 44.6km race!
I decided to walk the last 2km as my goal was the marathon and I really left everything I had on the last km. In hindsight this was a bad decision. I should've jogged to the finish line as I got really cold and stiff walking and all sorts of pains in the hips and legs popped out. Looking at the results I crossed the Marathon as 51st and I crossed the finish line as 125th out of a field of approx. 1600 runners. In any case I did a little run to get some nice pics at the finish line in Apollo Bay in 3.29.59 and a team of friendly kids handed out my medal!
What an amazing race! I loved the challenge, loved the training, loved the weather, loved the views and camaraderie between runners. I think my next goal will be a BQ (3:05) or maybe if the stars align a sub 3!
In the next months I have a few half marathons coming up where I'll aim for a 1.25 and the HIM in November.
Happy running everyone, and thank you for reading my report. If you've endured my poor English you can endure a marathon for sure!

2024.05.20 11:35 querulous_hierarchy Best pokies for Aussies?

I'm keen to try some other gambling sites. I've noticed that many sites I've seen in places like the UK and Canada can't be accessed from Australia, where I'm based. I don't want to use a VPN to play on them for obvious reasons. Any recommendations for online casinos to play at here? I'm into slots, especially ones with a good sign-up bonus and nice graphics, as well as easy payout methods.

35 going on 15 🙄
These clips deserve a spot on this page. Just to remind us all how ANCESTRAL our Rakel really is. Because going to a concert with 60,000 peole is exactly what our ancestors used to do right? 🤣
She comes across as so desperate to fit in with the cool crowd. She wants to be this young and carefree teenager - well guess what! You’re 35 years old Rachel. Putting glitter all over your face and jumping up and down singing “but daddy I love him” is really cringey. 😬 I’m not trying to shame any Swifties - I myself enjoy some of her songs but I’m not about to shell out a couple grand to watch her show.
But i’m not at all surprised that she managed to get tickets. I guess there is nothing that Daddy casino’s money cannot do huh Rachel? here in Australia, it was IMPOSSIBLE to get tickets. Many were online for 8 hours a day, three days in a row (!) and didn’t manage to get tickets. It was actually insane! But of course miss “divinely guided by the Universe” managed to get them. 🤑

2024.05.19 22:18 Altruistic-Novel72 update and full story on my sister melissa loosing her kids

I posted on here before that my sister Mellissa losing her kids she has 7 in total katelynne is 19 kay din is 13 Lillianna is 11 Miracle is 6 zanders are 8 and Ransom and Rytheme are 2 years old today is their birthday the whole problem started in 2019 when Melissa found her old crush from school his name is Aron.
Aron and Melissa are dating i knew from day one I didn't like him he was controlling in my eyes all he ever did was tell Melissa what to do I noticed this when we all gathered at my sister Jessica's house early for Christmas since she wouldn't be in town
Jessica is married to a Mexican who I adore his name is Andres so normally every other Christmas and summer she would go with her son to Mexico to spend time with his family we were having a good time until he began texting and calling Melissa
he had been living with her that next year in 2020 we found out some disturbing things Melissa didn't want to get pregnant again so she had an IUD inserted in her arm to prevent her from getting pregnant what Aron would do was squeeze her arm to break the IUD so he can get her pregnant
In April of 2020, I moved into my sister's house i was previously living with my mom under her landlord's radar until I got accused of stealing clothes which is ridiculous and then I got banned so I moved into my oldest sister's Jessica house
Just a few days after moving in my sister Jessica came into my room and told me that Aron had beat up Melissa and it was bad she had bruises and gashes all over her from her beating on her and DCFS had gotten involved
DCFS told her that if she did not get rid of Aron she would have no choice but to take her kids away because of what happened his kids also displayed abuse his son was violent and his daughter would sit there and watch as Zander who is Autisic was getting dressed disturbing
Then in May of 2021 Ransom and Rytheme were born Ransom was born with Cleft feet while Rytheme was normal but Aron's control over her got worse during this time we got calls from the kids more and more often asking for Jessica to come to get them because they were scared
Aron and Melissa were fighting again Melissa was also an alcoholic so they would fight when they were mostly drunk is when the fights they both wanted to run the household when it should have been Melissa since it was her house
Then 2022 started we did not hear much of Melissa leading up to this year she came over on Christmas and it seemed she was still under his control she would pick up immediately after he would call this worried us because she was pregnant
January nothing February nothing then March happened Kaydon her 12 year old called us saying Melissa was drinking again and that he found an empty vodka bottle in her trash can we told him to tell his bio dad stevie and Stevie told her case worker
this was March 2nd of 2022 that year was very eventful if you ask me multiple false police calls from her on us threats from Aron stalking us because he didn't like that we had his kids and multiple false reports to DCFS from her about us citing that we were abusing the kids
all reports came back unfounded of the course she also posted on Facebook slandering Jessica saying that she always wanted her to have her kids taken away which wasnt true she had gotten her kids taken away and then we had to immediately find babysitters for the babies
Jessica worked so did Andres and I and Jessica had a deal when I moved in that i didn't have to babysit if I didn't want to as you can tell babysitting 2 infants a 5-year-old and a 7-year-old autistic child was not an easy thing to do
At first, our babysitter Brooklyn just quit babysitting Zander saying his meltdowns were way to much and then she quit watching the babies so i took over it was from April- to October of 2022 in between that time I had given a lot of my time up to babysitting i never got a day off
on top of making sure I fed and changed the babies while making sure the older kids got to bed on time I had to also clean the house and this was proven to be too stressful on me the fact Jessica's son Zion would always contradict me this would lead to fights we had
In August of 2022, they went on vacation for 6 days and this was a saving grace for me since i got 6 whole days to myself in September of 2022 I had gotten into a fight with Zion her husband was supposed to be off that day but he went somewhere with the older kids
so it was just me Zion and the babies Zion wanted to watch tv i said no he tried to snatch the remote from me and a fight happened the fight got so heated because he kept trying to follow me around if i went into the kitchen where he was the livingroom there he was the bathroom there he was
Finally, i went outside and he tried grabbing me until the neighbor came out he then went inside and locked me out of the house twice once back inside I yelled WHAT THE HELL IS THE MATTER WITH YOU, YOU DONT HAVE A RIGHT TO LOCK ME OUT AND THERE ARE BABIES IN THE HOUSE!!!" he then shoved me so I called Jessica
Jessica sped home and she laid it on him thick saying that she was taking his game until he learned to keep his hands off of me Andres came just in time to see him try and put his hands on Jessica and he beat up Zion Jessica had to pull him off of Zion
the next two months he just went on walks until his mom would be home until October I was putting all the same colors of play dough in the same container and my vape was by the tv so I could just grab it and go outside he purposely knocked it to the ground
I asked him about it and he blamed the 5-year-old for it but there were 2 problems to this story 1 -I had it scooted back to where the 5-year-old couldn't reach the vape and 2- the 5-year-old is smarter than most and knows not to touch it
this is when the final fight happened Andres had already left for work and Jessica was already at work I didn't want to fight with him so I told him to stop but he didn't want to be kept it up he started following me around the house but this time I chose to ignore I got hungry
so I went to grab a knife and a potato so I could cut up a potato i can make myself a baked potato and he grabbed a knife of his own this made me feel threatened so I called Jessica no answer i texted Jessica no answer so then I tried his andres I called him no answer I texted him no answer this was after I told the older kids to go to the playroom
after no answer, I called the police the police came Zions Dimbass went outside with the knife to talk to the police I told the officer what happened and he told his side of the story too not long after they left Jessica came home instead of her yelling at Zion for starting a fight she yelled at me
so the next day Jerry told me he wanted me to come to the hills and talk to him and at the same time I felt like she was going to make me move out she said she would pick Melissa's kids over me every time which upset me
so I went and got papers for Indian Hills and signed them she tried to backtrack as soon as DCFS said it was unfounded but I told her I did not want to babysit anymore so she had Stevie and Jen babysit This only lasted a month so November thru December
after they quit it was Ricky Katenynnes boyfriend who babysat Kateynee came now and then to help out but she had her job and Ricky did not follow any rules Jessica had some strict rules when it came to ways to babysit the baby
such as cleaning up the mess and not vaping around the babies if one of the kids is sick keeping them away from the babies and letting the babies sleep whenever they wanted Jessica didn't want them sleeping past 5 pm so they would have a sleep schedule
After Ricky quit due to him accusing Zion of looking up porn on the internet on one of the kid's tablets and being told that maybe he was the one doing it then Jessica tried to pressure me into babysitting again even though in October we sat down in the kitchen and i told her how I felt
then she told me she understood the deal we made and that the only time that she would ask me to babysit was for school stuff and doctor appointments and when she went to the boat that's what she calls the casino so she had to quit her job at the restraint so that she didn't have to worry
January and February we were living off of food pantries and behind on bills then mom mentioned on Addus and working for Travis and so she signed up went to orientation and now she works for Travis
now for the update :
last day of court was today and they told Melissa she will not be getting her kids back She is back on medicine and she is doing her classes but the one thing she was not doing was accepting the fact that it was Aron who got her kids taken
thank you Reddit for joining me on this wild ride

It's not the flex you think it is Smelli
9 times? For Gods sake woman, find somewhere else to vacation 🙄 Everything you post from there looks overrated and boring AF. Birds, Flamingos, same overpriced restaurants, Joan in the casino, boring pool, the beach that you don't go to except for one photo op each trip. There are so many places to go all over the World or different Islands. 🤦🏻‍♀️

2024.05.19 15:19 TranslatorChemical49 looking for advice, planning to move abroad (med student rn)

2024.05.19 11:54 CreamyTentacles Need Advice: Should I Split Expenses Equally with My Higher-Earning Boyfriend?

Hey everyone,
I could use some advice on a financial situation with my boyfriend. I'm 23M from Mexico, and he's 24M from Australia. We've been together for a year, though we met during a vacation and have only spent that time together in person. Since then, we've maintained our relationship through FaceTime.
During our relationship, my boyfriend has covered more of the expenses, including gifts, helping with my credit card, buying me food, help with medical bills, ordering me Ubers, etc. I never take advantage of his help; he always offers, he said that’s his way of showing affection due the distance and I accept every so often as a last resort. He earns 3-4 times more than I do, I have an average job, so I can't afford to get him as many gifts or contribute as much.
We planned a trip to Mexico for my birthday in August. He used his travel points to cover his AUS-MEX flights. We booked two hotels. National flights, carr rental and other costs in advance.
Here's where I need advice: he asked me to split the total expenses for the trip equally, including the plane tickets (excluding his AUS-MEX flight) hotels, car rental, etc. This surprised me because, given our income difference and his usual willingness to cover more costs, I assumed we'd split expenses based on our salaries. He understands that our quality of living is very different.
I have the money to pay my half from my savings, but it would mean working overtime to replenish what I need for university. I don't want to be unfair, but I'm not sure if it's reasonable to split everything 50/50 in this situation.
Should I talk to him about it or just pay my half and move on? I don't want to seem ungrateful or create tension, especially considering all the expenses he's covered so far and the help he's given me with bills, and I can definitely work OT, is not about the money for me but about the equity of the situation. Any advice would be appreciated!
Thanks!

2024.05.19 04:25 PyroinCrocs Beginner help

I have always loved grunge and bands such as nirvana, the smashing pumpkins, radiohead, etc and recently I have gotten an opportunity to join a band but I don't play an instrument so I have decided to learn bass. I live in Australia and have a budget of around 500 Aussie dollars to buy all the things I need and their accessories. I was wondering if you guys could help me out by recommending guitars amps etc with a total budget of 500 dollars as I have absolutely no idea where to start. This is the best deal I could find so far: https://www.musocity.com.au/products/casino-cjb-21-j-style-electric-bass-guitar-and-15-watt-amplifier-pack-tobacco-sunburst?variant=30267924611155

2024.05.19 04:12 pizzapillowfort FMH Master Doc

The moment a lot of you have been waiting for is here!
A couple of notes before you read (or after because I would just jump into the list right away too)
  1. Direct quotes from Ali herself are in italics.
  2. I tried my best to keep everything in timeline order. Some people like The Come Back Kid I placed in the order where they reconnected/talked about on the pod. But I did my best to note this.
  3. All this information came from the FMH podcast, the Patreon, the original FMH blog, TikTok and other podcast that feature FMH/Ali. I also crossed reference information with this sub. I got most of this done with the help of the Patreon and listening to 1.75x speed but I lost accessed to the Patreon because my subscription ended.
  4. I'm open to edits! Things around the matchmaker era confused me and if anything is incorrect or if I'm missing someone, please let me know! I will note where corrections are made.
  5. Some people don't have anything simply because only a name was said or I couldn't find any details about the person/date
  6. And of course, please be respectful of all the sub rules!

His mom is still “obsessed” with Ali and she listens to FMH
Random college guy
Freshman year of college, Ali doesn’t have a nickname for him/doesn’t remember his real name, met this guy through a friend, was texting him to invite him over to hot tub but her phone autocorrected to “how about some hot rubbing tonight?” but Ali didn’t noticed/didn’t correct it and he never replied, Ali had a house party and got really drunk and was all over him, he left the party early, she messaged him on MySpace 3-4 times asking why he left
The Resident
Matched on Match.com, first guy she dated in NYC after college, older than Ali, a doctor, lasted 3 months ”maybe”, he didn’t like Ali’s friends, got a card from him on her birthday and it said “Love, The Resident” and it took Ali back a little, Ali drinks black coffee because of him, he coordinated having her mom visit NYC for her birthday then he broke up with her a week later

Personal side note: Ali has mentioned she has cheated on someone but never disclosed who she cheated on or with. I feel like she cheated on Mr.A/The Coach with Trouble because of the timeline. Just a guess.
Waffles
Matched on Bumble, OG 2015 FMH blog, he asked Ali fuck/marry/kill breakfast foods, dated 2 months around summer time, on Fourth of July while watching fireworks he said how they had a great day and Ali replied with something along the lines with “yeah, it would be better if I could call you my boyfriend”, he said he wanted a relationship but just not with Ali and shortly afterwards they stopped seeing each other

He’s now married and goes to Disney with his wife (which Ali kind of scoffs at?), Ali said on TikTok that she dodged a bullet
Baby Bic
Met him at Adults National years ago, had a flirtationship with him in 2016 when he was 19 years old, ran into him at the Adults Nationals 2021, last texts she got from him were about getting his fake ID taken away at the bar and him visiting her in NYC but Ali didn’t want to buy him beer and drink at her apartment
The Chef
Matched on Tinder around 2016, he loved karaoke, “total shit”, asked Ali to be his girlfriend and to meet his mom after a month, off and on dating, broke up the first time because he was talking to his ex, lied and flew to Mexico to see his ex while dating Ali, that ex sent Ali a Snapchat of them in bed together on that Mexico trip, Ali broke up with him via text and called him a shitty boyfriend, he’s the reason Ali deleted her Snapchat because of drunk Snaps he would send post break up, FB messaged Ali 6 years later (while Roark was visiting/staying with Ali) and said sorry for being a shit head. Ali’s best friends hated him
The Dentist

ASV - Aspiring Sober Vegan
Met through a friend (her best guy friend’s college roommate) the day before she had to fly out to her dad’s memorial, a doctor, into meditation, remembered him “being cuter” when they went on a first date, felt “the spark”, had “omg this is awesome sex”, Ali described this relationship as a “slow burn” and “the most attracted she ever been to a partner” even thought she didn’t think he was that cute in the beginning, dated 2-3 months before he tried to ghost Ali but they talked and broke up, four months later they start casually dating/FWB because he’s moving but this turns into a ‘middle distance relationship’ and he moves to Philly, had a lot of communication issues but didn't have a lot of fights, wants to live in Ohio and give a % of his income to charity, Ali was close to saying ‘I love you’ but didn’t, he uninvited her to meet his extended family and they got in a fight, broke up with her a couple weeks before their 6 month anniversary at the park while on a picnic and told her that she’s still his favorite person, Ali used to think he was “the one that got away” and would frequently have dreams about him. From what Ali knows, he's sober but not vegan
The Scientist
2017 or 2018ish, from San Diego, went on one date, Ali ended up ghosting him due to the decline in her dad’s health, saw him on Hinge while she was in San Diego for 3 months in 2020, texted him and apologized for ghosting him, ended up going on 2-3 more dates, took a selfie in front of his house and sent it to him but acted like she didn’t know that was his house and made a TikTok about it, things ended up not working but she doesn’t make it clear on who ended it. She can now see she shouldn’t have been going on dates during this time when her dad was sick.
Good on Paper Divorced Dude
Met a couple of years ago (she told this story on TikTok in 2020) on Bumble
The Groomsman
Met at her friend Ashley’s wedding in Chicago Oct 2019, had a “two night stand” with him, texted/talked/FT’d for 3-4 months, divorced, never dated seriously/FWB, saw each other a couple time when he came to NYC, Ali stopped talking with him due to FMH and her trying to find a serious relationship, he starts dating someone, follows FMH on insta, slid into her DM in 2022 and then sent her soup while she was sick, turns out he’s single again, 2 months later Ali is heading to Chicago and texts him “Hello! Reminder that my arrival to your neck of the woods is imminent” and turns out he is now seeing someone and Ali doesn’t see him while in Chicago (at least she doesn’t mention it)
Unnicknamed person
He was her plus one at her best friend from college’s NYE wedding 2019/2020, met and hung out with Ali’s mom, posted photos of them together on her personal Insta story, “fully dating but weren’t official hehe” doesn’t have a nickname/never gave him a nickname? Mostly talked about him on TikTok
The Analyst

The Comic
Matched on Hinge, older than Ali (Ali’s friends express how happy they were to hear that), had brunch on their first date (was the first part of a double header but the second guy canceled), listed as “moderate” politically on Hinge, good and easy convo, went back and forth twice over text and then never heard back from him, “technically not ghosting...”
The Camper
Met in the wild at a volleyball tournament in July, lives in Chicago, 27 years old, hung out the whole time, over heard Ali asking someone to get her a make out partner, gave Ali his number, drunkly ask him for a FT date in the future and he didn’t reply, Ali texts him again about a volleyball thing and he replied back with not a lot of enthusiasm, Ali is going to Chicago in Sept for a volleyball tournament and she’s already planning on playing 4-on-4 with her best friend vs. his roommate and maybe The Camper, he texts her saying he has to work on the date of the tournament and won’t be able to do the 4-on-4 game, “I feel like I got broken up with someone I never want to date in the first place”

Ali’s Matchmaker contract starts in August 2021 - 6 matches

The Schmoozer

1st matchmaker match, 31 years old, lives in BK, his dad has also passed away, easy to talk to, on the third date she wasn’t sure if she saw a future with him and in her gut doesn’t feel like this would be a slow burn, Ali breaks things off with him, months (?) later he sent Ali a 5 min long voice memo and they said they were both down to see each other as friends. He later on dated and ghosted Erica

The Goalie

The Journalist
2nd matchmaker match, ended things because she was dating/pursuing things with The Discoball and paused her matchmakers matches

The Threepeat
Matched multiple times on dating apps but this recent time with Hinge, Amazon seller, first date was a pizza lunch date (with bubbles aka champagne) and he gave her a single yellow carnation, talked a lot about her “side hustles” aka her food blog, coaching, FMH and the pod (Ali didn’t mentioned the name on FMH), had an awkward half kiss during the date and then gave her a peck when they said goodbye, he had no night stands by his bed?, spent the night but told public pod they had a movie night, different kissing styles, 6 dates, broke things off with Ali two days before her first date with The Rower WHILE Ali was on a Halloween girls trip

The Trainer
The Cold Brew
The Nomad
3rd matchmaker match, reminded Ali of The Oyster, wanted kids and didn’t want to live in NYC forever, Ali was upset at first because her matchmaker was supposed to screen for that but the matchmaker DID check and it wasn’t mentioned when she was screening The Nomad, no second date because those are dealbreakers to him
The Catcher

Andddd I stopped listening to the podcast around the Dr. Pie Laundry Guy but have stayed up to date with everything via this sub.
I have a huge interest in dating culture, human behavior and data similar to Ali and this little project of mine was really interesting once I got the framework of this list. I started this list once I found this sub in December 2023 and started re listening to the Patreon while working out (and lost 10 lbs ayeee) and writing down information in my notes app. I did my best to keep this list unbiased and just give facts and information that was said.
My own thoughts after making this list is that I'm very sad for Ali. I didn't realize the extent of her dating history. I think about my own dating history or even my friends who are in their 30's and dating and Ali's dating lore runs so deep. Is Ali unlucky with love? Did she pass on someone that could have been great for her? How has she had so many dates with little success in a long term partner or even going beyond 6-8 dates? Or is Skyline the person she has been waiting for? What's the pattern with all this dates/men? So many questions.
I truly do hope Ali finds her guy because I believe theres someone for everyone. Until then, I'll be hopping into this sub (cause y'all are too funny and give the best advice) and waiting for Ali to find Mr. Height.
Enjoy and I look forward to everyone thoughts! I'll keep my eye out for any edits that need to be made.

Pauly Ds Dad passed away-MTV posted tribute
On Thursday's season 7 finale of Jersey Shore Family Vacation, MTV included a special tribute to the reality star's dad, Paul DelVecchio Sr., who died at the age of 71 on May 4.
"In loving memory. Paul DelVecchio Sr. May 7, 1952 - May 4, 2024," the message read along with a number of photos of Paul Sr., including some with a young Pauly D.
While Pauly D has yet to comment publicly on the death of his father, an an obituary confirmed his passing. "Paul D. DelVecchio Sr., 71, of Johnston, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 4, 2024," the obit read.
The tribute featured a look back at Paul's life as a business owner, heading up P. DelVecchio Remodeling "for many years before he retired," per the obit shared on Maceroni Funeral Home and Cremation Services' website.
"Carpentry wasn't just a job for him, it was his passion," the tribute continued, calling Paul a "Jack of all trades."
"He could build or fix anything. He loved his family and being in nature. He was a devoted father and grandfather. He loved walking and spending time at the ocean. His favorite pastime was playing the slots at the local casino and he never refused a good family card game. He was a man of many talents. He had a beautiful singing voice and could draw anything," the obit read.
The post also noted that Paul Sr. was survived by Pauly D, 43, and daughter Vanessa DelVecchio-Lindimore, as well as a brother and four grandchildren.
The touching tribute also included a video, which saw photos of Paul Sr. over the years with his friends and family, and included several shots of him and Pauly, and Pauly's daughter, Amabella.
The article mentions his Dad had suffered a stroke in prior years via his former show the Pauly D ProjectZ
"I'll be alright. I'm doing good," Paul Sr. assured his son before joking that he couldn't come out and watch Pauly's DJ gigs because he'll "get a headache."
Although Pauly's family life wasn't seen by the public as much as it has been with some of his other Jersey Shore co-stars, the episode captured the sweet father-son bond the pair shared.
"You're gonna miss me, so you have to come out there," Pauly is seen telling hid dad, to which Paul Sr. replied, "You'll have to give me money so I can gamble."

2024.05.18 20:56 pilotlenny Need Advice for 3-Week Australia Itinerary: Brisbane to Cairns + Sydney, Sydney to Brisbane, or Sydney to Cairns?

Hi everyone,
I'm planning a 3-week (23days to be exact) vacation to Australia together with my girlfriend and need some advice on the best itinerary for first-time travelers. I've come up with three potential plans but I'm not sure which one is more feasible and enjoyable within the timeframe. Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Itinerary 1: Brisbane to Cairns + Sydney
  1. Start in Brisbane
  2. Travel up the coast to Cairns (exploring places like the Sunshine Coast, Fraser Island, Whitsundays, and Great Barrier Reef along the way)
  3. Fly from Cairns to Sydney
  4. Spend a few days in Sydney before heading home
Itinerary 2: Sydney to Brisbane
  1. Start in Sydney
  2. Explore Sydney and nearby areas (Blue Mountains, Hunter Valley, etc.)
  3. Travel up the coast to Brisbane (stopping at Gold Coast, Byron Bay, etc.)
  4. Spend the remaining time in Brisbane before heading home
Itinerary 3: Sydney to Cairns via Brisbane
  1. Start in Sydney
  2. Travel up the coast, visiting Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Byron Bay, Sunshine Coast, Fraser Island, Whitsundays, and other highlights
  3. Continue all the way to Cairns
  4. Fly back home from Cairns
My questions are:
Thanks in advance for your help! I can't wait to explore Australia and want to make the most of my time there.
Cheers!
