2024.05.21 10:21 Pumamick My [m31] partner [f25] constantly tells me that I'm not doing enough. Does she have a point?

Hi guys,
I [31m] feel like my partner [25f] is constantly on my case about not doing enough, or not giving enough.
I had a pretty shit start to life which meant that i started off on the backfoot, however I managed to graduate a MSc Computer Science last December and I have been looking for a graduate job ever since. I've had numerous video interviews, but I've been rejected by all except one place that has invited me to an assessment center in June.
About 6 weeks ago I applied for two companies that I really like the look of. One in defence and one in maritime services. Both looked like amazing opportunities and I was lucky enough to be invited to an interview for both. It was nice to finally have companies call me back, you know? Anyway, I had my interviews and prepared for them both as best I could. I felt like the interviews went very well, but unfortunately I got rejected by both companies on the same day last week.
I'll be honest, it broke me. I was really, really upset about it and began to feel completely hopeless, useless and defeated. I worked so hard to get educated, did the best that I could, got very high grades, but it feels like it has all been a waste of time.
I cried like a baby when I got those rejections and felt absolutely broken. My partner supported me through it and said to me "it isn't your fault" and that it's just a shit economy at the moment.
Fast forward to this week and my partner calls me (she's away visiting her parents). It started off fine at first as we were both talking about plans for the future. Basically, the conversation spiralled and she started saying that I'm not doing enough, that's its a males job to provide financially and that I'm not trying hard enough to get us ahead. I showed her this spread sheet I've kept that lists every single job I've applied for and what stage of the application I made it to. There are 128 jobs on that list. I felt so hurt because when I was super upset about my rejections last week, she supported me and told me none if it was my fault. Yet here she is insinuating that it is. I point this apparent hypocrisy out to her, and she says "it's always partially your fault".
I've applied to every single job available in this area and city a couple of hours away. Then she said that I don't work enough currently (I'm a healthcare worker). I remind her that I work 3x 12.5hr shifts per week which is about the limit of which I can handle tbh. I'm wiping ass and coping abuse all day, it isn't easy.
She then rebutted me by saying "what about last year when you were only working 2 shifts per week". Wtf, I was studying a Masters degree so of course I was working less. And during my dissertation I was studying roughly 6-8 hours. In my view, doing a MSc full time during the week and working 12 hours on Saturday and Sunday is commendable, and I was the only student in my cohort who worked as much as I did. Most just lived off their student loan. Yet here I am, being made to feel like I was a lazy pos. I feel like she had absolutely no appreciation for just how hard i worked tbh.
when I asked her "what would you do differently in my shoes?" She was unable to answer. Crickets. I would have expected her to be able to list exactly where she could see room for improvement, but nope. Then she brought up how I don't "contribute enough to the household financially or with chores". She makes this argument from time to time and it infuriates me. I pay more than 50% of our bills and more than 50% for groceries. I effectively bought a car for her to use almost exclusively (every day drives to her uni, or work, or her stables). She has possession of the car around 95% of the time, yet I've been paying atleast 70% of the running costs of it (and boy did the thing need some work over the last 2 years). But she completely disregards that because it doesn't contribute to our standard of living. Whatever the fuck that even means.
So I say to her, what about all the trips I've taken you on? Last year I took her to Australia, I paid for everything. She said "that doesn't count because it was to see your family". I then said how about me taking you to Greece the year before last? Or me taking you to Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Switzerland and Italy on a road trip the year before that?
Do you know what her response was? "You see I don't like when you pay for these holidays because you always end up using them against me". WTF! She literally complained that I don't contribute enough financially! Ugh what is this logic even?
Then she moves on and says I dont do enough chores. I bought this hook line and sinker when we first got together, but I've really stepped up my game in the last two years. I pointed out that I prepare us meals, I vacuum, I do dishes, walk the dogs, dust, put my shit away, keep the mirror clean, you name it. She always has a clean flat to come home to.
But she says "it's not to my standard so I don't consider it done". Wtf? Absolute bs, I pay far closer attention to detail that she does. I do a very thorough job.
Basically, my partner makes absurd criticisms of me that I do not think have any basis in reality. How should I handle this? Because I do love her, but I'm really finding this aspect of her personality very jarring, unfair and difficult to deal with.
Also, sorry for the huge essay. I really needed to vent tbh.

2024.05.21 10:15 where_do_i_start8297 I had an incontinence problem as a kid and while I no longer have the issue, I haven't recovered from it.

When I was in first and second grade the teachers wouldn't let us use the bathroom for extended periods of time, sometimes the entire day. They would make up these stupid ass rules like only 1 person could go at a time and no one could go for 10 minutes after that person got back. We had hall passes that got taken away from us if we were being "bad". I was a kid who drank a LOT of water and needed to use the restroom regularly. I became a kid who would piss themselves because we weren't allowed to use the restroom and I physically couldn't hold it anymore. Up until 5th grade, when we moved from elementary to middle school, I had to wear diapers or some sort of underwear because I would end up pissing myself while waiting to use the restroom.
I just fucking hate public school systems and the freaks who think rules like this make sense. Not letting children not use the restroom??? Insanity. I don't blame myself, I physically could not follow their rules because my body did not want to. I remember being bullied for it, I remember being constantly stressed at school, and of course I remember waiting and waiting and at some points crying and begging to use the restroom while teachers would laugh at me and say no.
I wish adults weren't so fucking cruel. I fucking hate the abusive, controlling people who decide to go into professions that have other people relying on them. Fuck you. You traumatized the actual piss out of me when I was a child. No wonder why I remember wanting to learn but hating school and slowly becoming afraid of people. No wonder I developed social anxiety. You knew I didn't know how to communicate my needs and concerns to my parents so you could abuse me AND OTHERS more. Using the restroom is a physical need not a "privilege" as y'all would always tell me. Fuck you so god damn hard. Hope that old bitch who used to tell me that in 1st grade is dead. I'd piss on her grave if I could.

2024.05.21 09:54 Formal-Argument7349 Have you ever had a teacher a kid u didn't realize was a weird ass person until u were older?

In my school, we had a Bible program. Yes. They taught religion in school and it was completely funded by "parents and charity." We had a teacher named Kevin Morrow. To me, even as a kid, he was weird. I never decided to be in Bible until HS. It was normal. Jesus this, Moses that. I dropped out, got a G.E.D. at 16, college at 17 and I'm now an engineer. I heard storied about him all those years ago. I was a sophomore when I left but heard he took someone's phone for using it in class. A guy age 15. Our policy was the parent had to come recover it. Mr. Morrow took it upon himself to go through his phone and text the boy's parents he had naked pics of his girlfriend on there. Now....before that. Years ago. I was in like 5th grade. Kevin Morrow has a pool at his house and said we were all invited to swim. So, some clasmates I knew went. He was laughing and told us all they didn't have trunks, so they went swimming in their underwear! So he was showing us all pictures of them in their underwear soaking wet.
He still works at the school. Any time we bring allegations or words against him, they don't listen.....

The Cold Steel Double Agent II, designed by Zach Whitson, is a versatile and portable knife that is perfect for urban carry. With a blade length of 3 inches and overall length of 7.78 inches, it's thin, flat, and lightweight at just over 3 ounces including the sheath. The star feature of this knife is the double ring handle, which allows you to use it with either a forward or reverse grip, and prevents your hand from sliding forward on the blade.
The Japanese Aus 8A stainless steel makes it durable and easy to maintain. The Secure-Ex Neck Sheath provides a secure and easy-to-use carry option.
However, the sheath might need some adjustments to ensure a perfect fit for some users. Overall, the Cold Steel Double Agent II is a great choice for self-defense and urban carry, offering a high level of functionality and portability for its price.

🔗SK-5 High Carbon Cold Steel - Chaos Double Edge Knife

One day, I found myself in a situation where I needed a reliable and sturdy knife. After a quick research, I stumbled upon the Cold Steel Chaos, a double-edge fixed blade inspired by the classic trench knives from both World Wars. This knife was designed for modern-day warriors, offering both security and comfort while holding it.
Upon holding the knife, the unique D-ring guard made of reinforced 6061 aluminum caught my attention. It allowed me to grip the knife securely, while also protecting my hand from incoming attacks and damage. The 1055 carbon steel pommel was tapered for punyo or butt-strikes, making it perfect to defend myself in a life-threatening scenario.
The 7.5-inch SK-5 high carbon blade was available in either double-edge or tanto blade shapes. I opted for the double-edge, as I believed it would provide a more efficient cutting and striking experience. The black Tuff-Ex coating on the blade enhanced corrosion resistance and improved cutting power by reducing friction.
The handle, made of 6061 T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, felt solid and secure in my hand. It accommodated a wide range of hand sizes, including mine with average-sized hands. The knife came with a tough Secure-Ex sheath, equipped with a belt loop for dependable and versatile carry.
My experience with the Cold Steel Chaos double-edge blade was nothing short of impressive. It offered a perfect balance between form and function in a sleek design. Although it was a bit heavy compared to other knives, its weight contributed to its strength and effectiveness. The knife was sharp, sturdy, and ready for action at all times, making it an excellent addition to my daily life and adventures.

The Cold Steel AK-47 Field Knife has quickly become a favorite amongst those seeking a reliable and sturdy multi-purpose fixed blade. Crafted with CPM3-V steel, this knife boasts a robust design that's perfect for tackling the rigors of everyday life. The stonewashed finish adds an element of toughness, ensuring that this field knife is ready for even the harshest conditions.
Equipped with a full tang and integral steel pommel, the AK-47 Field Knife offers both functionality and durability. It also comes with a Secure-Ex sheath, providing the convenience of easy transportation. While this knife may not be ideal for all situations, those who value rugged reliability will appreciate its toughness and versatility.

🔗Stylish and Durable Ranch Boss II Folding Knife with Faux Bone Handle

If you fancy rugged adventures and need a reliable companion in the great outdoors, Cold Steel's Ranch Boss II Folder 4 in Blade with Stag Handle could be the perfect addition to your gear. This folding knife features a durable SK-5 Carbon Steel blade and a striking faux sawed bone handle, offering both style and substance.
One of the standout features of this knife is its thick, tapered blade that adds to its toughness, making it a great choice for hunting and hiking expeditions. The blade is razor sharp right out of the box, ensuring you'll be ready for any task at hand. The lock-up is secure, while the sheath is well made and includes a nice snap-on cover with thick leather.
However, one small downside could be the sheath, which some users have found a little loose, making it less secure when attached to their belts. But this shouldn't diminish the overall value of the knife, which has won praise for its solid construction, great design, and fantastic edge retention.
The Ranch Boss II Folder 4 in Blade with Stag Handle is an excellent choice for those seeking a high-quality, versatile folding knife that looks as good as it performs. With its rugged appeal and impeccable craftsmanship, this Cold Steel knife is sure to become a reliable companion on your next great adventure.

🔗Compact and lightweight Cold Steel Peace Maker II knife

I've been using the Cold Steel Peace Maker II for a few weeks now, and I must say, it's a game-changer. The knife is incredibly lightweight, making it perfect for daily carry. I've been using it for a variety of tasks, from opening boxes to trimming small branches, and it's handled every job with ease.
One of the standout features is the Scandi ground blade, which is incredibly easy to resharpen. The unique compound ground clip point provides a stiff distal tapered point capable of piercing thick targets without compromising precious cutting power.
The ergonomic handle design is another plus, with a thin, rectangular shape and subtle contouring. The palm swell and double quillon guard offer both comfort and protection. The knife also comes with a secure-ex sheath, which is cut and stab-resistant and impervious to the elements. The sheath attachment is sturdy and won't come loose, even during strenuous activities.
However, the blade does require frequent sharpening due to its soft steel composition. But considering the product's affordability, it's a small price to pay for the versatility and convenience it offers. The Peace Maker II is a reliable, multifunctional knife that's perfect for those who need a reliable and versatile cutting tool.

🔗VG-1 San Mai 3 Stainless Steel Cold Steel Oss Hunting Knife with Kray-Ex Handle

https://preview.redd.it/pzzyirqkgq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=75addd9cecde8074f0c5cf16dbe0276e92857a61
As a reviewer who has tried the Cold Steel Master Hunter, I can confidently say that it has become my go-to knife for various outdoor activities. One of the features that stood out to me was the comfortable, deeply checkered Kraton grip, which allows for long-term use without any discomfort. The broad, thin blade with a distinct taper provides exceptional cutting ability, edge retention, and ease of resharpening.
However, one of the cons I encountered was the knife's tendency to be easily lost due to its minimalistic design. I also noticed that the blade occasionally required additional sharpening, despite its excellent edge retention. Nevertheless, the overall performance and durability of the Master Hunter make it a reliable and versatile tool for all your hunting needs.

🔗Lightweight Miniature Cold Steel Super Edge Knife

https://preview.redd.it/94ov6g5lgq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=40e39415987aac8a87e932cd675db172e0f2fdd7
The Super Edge is the ultimate keychain companion for any adventurous spirit. With its sleek design and razor-sharp blade, this little powerhouse can take on any task thrown at it. Whether you're taming a wild zipper or cutting through a tough piece of rope, the Super Edge never disappoints.
Its lightweight construction and secure sheath make it a discreet and convenient carry option, ensuring you're prepared for any situation. While its diminutive size may fool some, never underestimate the capabilities of this impressive workhorse.
The Super Edge has proven itself as a reliable tool in the hands of users, earning its stellar reputation as one of the best keychain knives on the market.

🔗Premium Tanto Pocket Knife with Stainless Steel Guard

The Cold Steel Kyoto II Tanto Fixed Blade Knife is a handy and reliable tool for everyday use. The blade's robust design is impressive, and its slim, comfortable sheath ensures easy access to this versatile knife.
Upon receiving the product, I was pleasantly surprised by its high-quality packaging, which added to my anticipation of trying it out. When I took it out, I appreciated its sturdy construction and thought it felt well-balanced in my hand.
One of the highlights of this knife is its impressive cutting power. It's a great option for various tasks due to its strong, sharp blade. The Kray-Ex handle offers a comfortable grip, and the Kydex sheath is easy to attach to a belt or wear horizontally.
However, I noticed that the sheath does not come with a belt clip, which might be inconvenient for some users. Additionally, while the knife is made of MoV steel, I found that its edge needs frequent sharpening compared to other knives I've used.
Overall, the Cold Steel Kyoto II Tanto Fixed Blade Knife is a solid choice for those seeking a traditional-looking, yet practical and reliable tool. Its unique design, sharp blade, and secure handle make it a great addition to any knife collection.

🔗Sleek and Lightweight Tanto Pocket Knife: A Versatile Neck Knife by Cold Steel

The Cold Steel Tanto Spike is a perfect blend of style and functionality, designed specifically to meet the needs of the modern adventurer. When you first take it out of the box, its slim profile and sleek design leave a lasting impression. Handling the knife feels smooth, like a well-oiled machine. The zero ground blade is incredibly sharp and capable of tackling any task, whether it's slicing through fruits or skinning wild game.
One of the standout features of the Tanto Spike is its textured G-10 Griv-Ex handle, which offers a firm grip even in the most slippery conditions. The blade is perfectly balanced, making it a joy to handle and easy to deploy when needed. Its versatile design allows it to be carried in a variety of ways, whether you prefer wearing it around your neck or strapping it to your waistband.
However, the Tanto Spike is not without its drawbacks. Its size may be a bit too much for some, making it an awkward choice for those who prefer a more compact option. The sheath also deserves some attention, as it may require some adjustments to ensure a snug fit when attached to your belt.
Despite these minor shortcomings, the Cold Steel Tanto Spike remains a top-tier choice for those in search of a reliable and stylish pocket knife. Its razor-sharp blade, versatile design, and secure grip make it a favorite among outdoor enthusiasts and everyday carriers alike.

The Cold Steel Click N Cut field kit is a versatile companion for outdoor enthusiasts who value quality without the extra weight. With its robust 4116 stainless steel construction, the kit boasts a sleek black and orange Zytel handle for a comfortable grip. This ingenious device houses five interchangeable fixed blades, making it a formidable tool in the wilderness.

🔗Cold Steel Recon Tanto SK-5 Biker Knife with Secure-Ex Sheath

https://preview.redd.it/75k4u7akcq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e2ed34f1ed23fbb0dafbcecb5a1249d164b8762b
I recently tried the Cold Steel Recon Tanto SK-5, and I must say, I was truly impressed by this knife. The blade material, SK-5 carbon stainless steel, provided a smooth cut and the razor-sharp edge was exceptional. The handle, made of Kraton, was both comfortable and grippy in my hand.
One of the standout features of this knife was its balance. It felt well-proportioned and easy to maneuver, making it a great choice for various tasks, from camping to self-defense. The blade thickness of 5mm added an extra layer of confidence when performing deeper cuts.
While the blade material is rust-resistant, the black Tuff-Ex finish on the blade did scratch off quite easily. However, this did not affect the knife's performance or durability. The weight of the knife, at 250 grams, made it a suitable everyday carry, providing a mix of portability and power.
Overall, the Cold Steel Recon Tanto SK-5 is a high-quality knife with a durable design and a smooth, sharp edge. It's an excellent choice for those seeking a reliable and versatile fixed blade for their everyday needs or even the most challenging outdoor situations.

🔗Dependable Tanto SAS Knife with Polypropylene Handle

https://preview.redd.it/wnlupklkcq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=838373f061a4d3b5d49183b7d6e8cfbe89e4f3d8
The Cold Steel GI Tanto 80PGTK is a versatile, well-rounded tactical knife that has become a staple for many outdoor enthusiasts and survivalists. Its broad blade and integrated guard design provide a solid grip, while the Polypropylene handle scales offer a comfortable and durable hold.
I've had the pleasure of using this knife in various situations, from camping trips to survival drills, and it has never let me down. The 1055 carbon steel ensures a strong, rugged construction that holds up well against rust and harsh conditions. The spring-tempered steel provides an excellent balance between strength and flexibility, allowing the blade to withstand the most demanding tasks without compromising its performance.
One of the standout features of the GI Tanto is its versatility - it can be easily converted into a spear in a pinch, simply by removing the handle scales and attaching the blade to a suitable wooden shaft. This adaptability makes it an invaluable addition to any survival kit or bug-out bag.
However, no product is without its drawbacks, and the GI Tanto is no exception. While its sturdy construction ensures a long lifespan, handling it for extended periods can be tiring due to its substantial weight. Additionally, the knife's size makes it less practical for everyday carry or more discreet situations.
Price-wise, the GI Tanto is a steal, offering a fantastic value for its quality and features. It's affordable enough to stock up on multiple copies for personal use or as gifts for friends and family.
In summary, the Cold Steel GI Tanto 80PGTK is a robust, versatile, and dependable tactical knife that has earned its reputation among outdoor enthusiasts and survivalists alike. Its few drawbacks are outweighed by its numerous benefits, making it a great choice for anyone looking for a durable and versatile blade for their adventures.

🔗SK-5 High Carbon Cold Steel - Chaos Double Edge Knife

https://preview.redd.it/s74p1c2lcq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=85275810cffef2fdc05c9a4f8779616462bb9bff

🔗Classic Cold Steel Tanto Point Boot Knife

https://preview.redd.it/g84mkqflcq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8a9933f93c2b0807203b6754337f560fffa01911
As someone who often finds themselves in need of a reliable blade for everyday use, I've had the pleasure of testing out the Cold Steel Kobun. This lightweight Tanto styled boot knife is definitely a handy addition to have on hand. I was instantly impressed by its sharp, reinforced point that contrasts with the thin blades commonly found in other boots knives.
One feature that stood out to me was the Kobun's deeply checkered Kraton handle. It offers an excellent grip, making the knife more secure in the hand. The cross section of the handle is also surprisingly thin, while still providing enough thickness to resist turning or shifting.
Another notable aspect of the Kobun is that it comes complete with a Secure-Ex sheath. This sturdy sheath makes it easy to attach the knife securely to your belt, ensuring that it remains easily accessible whenever you need it.
However, there was one downside that I discovered while using the Kobun. The default clip that was included with the knife was quite weak and didn't hold up well to everyday wear. I had to replace it with a Blade-Tech brand Tek-Lok belt attachment in order to ensure a more secure and reliable attachment to my belt.
Overall, the Cold Steel Kobun has been a reliable and versatile companion during my everyday activities. I would highly recommend it to anyone in need of a durable and efficient boot knife for both personal and practical use.

🔗Compact Fixed Blade Knife with Black Handle

https://preview.redd.it/ukxq3uulcq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9b3fd3b91d840adcad5349d0d53bd4e6ab024cb2
I recently got my hands on a Cold Steel SRK Compact fixed blade knife, and let me tell you, it's a game-changer for those seeking a reliable and stylish companion while on outdoor adventures. The knife features a compact handle & blade made of Kray-Ex & SK5, measuring in at just 12.5 cm (5 inches). Weighing only 145 grams, it's remarkably lightweight and effortless to carry around.
One thing that struck me is the sturdy Secure-Ex sheath it comes with – it's a fantastic addition! However, I did notice a few minor drawbacks. Firstly, the blade edges seemed a bit too uneven for my liking. Secondly, I'm not a big fan of the flex hanger option, but that's just personal preference.
Overall, I believe that the Cold Steel SRK Compact is a fantastic choice for outdoor enthusiasts. It's light, easy to carry, and offers great performance. Just make sure to sharpen it properly and maintain it well to enjoy its full potential.

🔗San MAI Recon Tanto Sas Knife - High-Quality VG-10 Stainless Steel Blade with Kray-Ex Handle

https://preview.redd.it/dr16pdkmcq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=515747b5fcdef2ae89001e69c8946b2e68c16c4c
I've been using the Cold Steel San MAI Recon Tanto as my daily pocket knife for the past few months, and I must say, it's a fantastic blade. The handle is made of Black Kray-Ex, providing a solid grip with no rolling or twisting in the hand, even under heavy use. The knife measures 11.75 inches overall, with a blade length of 17.9 cm, making it perfect for various tasks.
One of the most impressive features of this Tanto is its blade, made of VG-10 San Mai Stainless Steel. The deep lustrous satin finish on the hollow ground blade bevels and the contrasting line grain finish on the blade flats emphasize the knife's unique appearance. The blade is razor sharp, and I haven't needed much maintenance, even after some heavy use.
Although it's not a "do-it-all" knife, the Cold Steel San MAI Recon Tanto is a great medium-sized Tanto. It's been through some rough use, and I'm glad to say it held up well. The knife comes with a thick, high-quality Secure-Ex sheath that has given me years of hard service, keeping my Tanto at my side. Overall, I highly recommend the Cold Steel San MAI Recon Tanto for its cutting capability, durability, and affordable price.

🔗Affordable and Portable Secure-Ex Neck Sheath Knife

https://preview.redd.it/bqyfw6xmcq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5b9529dd06344dea5708b3402f3dd7addf4ddf2c
The Cold Steel 49NDE Hide Out is a versatile neck knife that I've been using daily for a while now and it has never failed to impress. One of the features that stood out to me is its lightweight design, weighing only 1.9oz. It's perfect for those who want a discreet yet effective self-defense tool. The blade is made of Japanese Aus 8A Stainless Steel, giving it an impressive edge sharpness and durability. The double-edged blade is Scandi ground, ensuring a strong and sharp tip, which is especially useful when you need it most.
The Hide Out's handle is made of Kray-Ex, a weather-proof material that provides a great grip and security, even when your hands are wet. It's thin and flat, designed to give me a superior purchase on such a small, lightweight knife. The Secure-Ex sheath and bead chain lanyard make it easy to wear and carry around all day, while the knife itself remains concealed.
However, there are a few drawbacks I've noticed. The AUS 8 steel can rust if not properly maintained, especially if you're using it as a neck knife. The blade scratches easily, making it less visually appealing over time. The bead chain necklace is quite stiff and can sometimes catch on clothes or other objects, making it slightly uncomfortable. Despite these minor issues, I've found the Cold Steel 49NDE Hide Out to be a reliable and effective neck knife that's perfect for those who need a reliable self-defense tool.

🔗Gentleman's Stockman Folding Knife for Everyday Use

https://preview.redd.it/mbhv9rbncq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=72b8cf23e52c60e24fd15c1695ec415943d75f0e
This Cold Steel Gentleman's Stockman Folding Knife is more than just a handy tool, it's a statement piece that exudes a sense of style and sophistication. The mirror finish 8Cr13MoV stainless steel clip, sheepsfoot, and spey blades are perfect for every day use, while the yellow smooth bone handle adds a touch of luxury to its practicality.
One of the highlights of this knife is the nickel silver bolster, which not only makes it sturdy but also adds to its aesthetic appeal. The clam-packed packaging ensures its safe arrival, and the knife being made in Taiwan only adds to its allure.
Despite its seemingly perfect qualities, the knife does have a drawback - it's made in China. However, it doesn't affect the overall functionality and durability of the product. Overall, this Cold Steel Gentleman's Stockman Folding Knife is a must-have for anyone who appreciates both style and functionality.

🔗Compact and lightweight Cold Steel Peace Maker II knife

https://preview.redd.it/xj8lwlnncq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e249c1fe67193bb1863bf208c4d54581e5a78575
I've been using the Cold Steel Peace Maker II for a few weeks now, and I must say, it's a game-changer.

🔗Slim and Effective Steel Surveillance Knife for Self-Defense

https://preview.redd.it/jhdmk63ocq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6692d00709fcf58d89c3f785028e42e75e41e603
Recently, I've been trying out the Cold Steel Secret Edge 11SDT Knife, and let me tell you, it's been a game-changer. This sleek little thing, perfect for self-defense, fits conveniently under any clothing, making it the ideal secret weapon (if you can keep it that way! ). It's so lightweight, you'll barely notice the half-pound heft, and the 4-inch blade is sharp as a tack – if you're not paying close attention, the edges might leave you astounded, your friends and family, that is.
Now, we all know that sharpness can sometimes come at a cost - durability. However, this knife's AUS 8A stainless steel blade seems to handle it all, remaining steady even after some of my more intense activities. The flat ground design does wonders against whatever material it clashes with.
The Secret Edge also includes a Secure-Ex sheath, a reliable retention system that's quick to access and deploy without compromising safety—perfect for those urgent moments. And it's equipped with a thin, flat faux G-10 handle, ergonomic enough to stay put in your hand while preventing any slippage or rolling. The three-hole design and aggressively textured surface ensure a grip like no other.
However, there are a few minor things that I've picked up on:
  1. The edge is only 3.5 inches long, despite the claim of a 3.5-inch blade length, which does diminish its cutting power.
  2. The product's description said it has no weight, but it actually weighs 3.2 ounces. It might seem negligible, but it makes a difference, especially over long periods of wear.
Overall, the Cold Steel Secret Edge 11SDT Knife has been a remarkable addition to my daily life. Its unassuming appearance, while still offering reliable functionality, makes it a top choice for those in need of a tactful self-defense tool.

🔗Cold Steel FGX Cat Tanto: Sleek and Impervious Serrated Knife

https://preview.redd.it/q0z7aekocq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1a0adc626a69f21029917712018a6bb3e6306a0e
I remember the day I brought home my Cold Steel FGX Cat Tanto. The sleek black design and the promise of a lightweight yet durable knife piqued my curiosity. It was a perfect addition to my collection of self-defense tools, for those moments when you need to protect yourself and your loved ones.
The handle, made of Kraton, felt great in my hand, with its solid grip that remained unaffected by temperature and moisture. It was a great contrast to the Grivory blade finish, which made the knife look even more menacing. I loved how the tanto point blade shape gave a perfect balance between sharpness and durability.
However, it wasn't all roses. The Cold Steel FGX Cat Tanto felt a bit underwhelming when it came to cutting tasks. Its plastic blade just didn't have the same edge retention as a traditional steel blade, making it not ideal for more demanding tasks like cutting through thick materials.
Still, for the price and as a lightweight and corrosion-resistant self-defense tool, the Cold Steel FGX Cat Tanto has proven to be quite the handy piece. It's a unique addition to any collection, and it's been a great conversation starter among my friends and family.

🔗VG-1 San Mai 3 Stainless Steel Cold Steel Oss Hunting Knife with Kray-Ex Handle

https://preview.redd.it/75niiq0pcq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a66b55e3c9d7d46a4e4b326975ee66dcf3343eb9

🔗Highly Durable Cold Steel Bushman Knife for Survival Needs

https://preview.redd.it/6r4mzlbpcq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=432649a0b234b30ba33b4a1d5f0f2deec1891a54
Recently, I had the pleasure of using the Cold Steel Bushman Knife and let me tell you, my experience was quite an adventure. This knife, with its 7-inch blade made of SK-5 high carbon steel, proved to be a reliable companion on my outdoor excursions.
One of the standout features was its hollow handle, which was surprisingly versatile. I was able to store a few essentials inside, and with the right handle extensions, I could reach impressive lengths for certain tasks. The knife's unique construction allowed for a seamless blend of blade and handle, which gave it a solid, reliable feel.
However, there was one drawback to my experience: the sheath. While the Secure-Ex sheath featured a Ferrocerium Fire Steel, which was convenient for starting fires, it had a few issues. The locking mechanism was less than secure, making it prone to accidental release. It also lacked a left-handed option, which could be a dealbreaker for some users.
Despite these minor setbacks, the Cold Steel Bushman Knife proved to be a sturdy and practical tool for various outdoor activities. With its strong blade and adaptable handle, it was a reliable ally on my adventures. While the sheath could use some improvements, the knife itself more than made up for it.

🔗Lightweight Miniature Cold Steel Super Edge Knife

2024.05.21 09:09 Teh_BabaOriley I think I'm doing it wrong. Color grading GoPro 11 video advice please.

Hoping it helps, I'll list the typical settings I use on a Hero 11 for a bright sunny day: 4k/60fps Wide Standard image stabilization 10-bit EV Comp: -.5 (seems to keep bright shiny things from clipping some) 150k bitrate Shutter: Auto White Balance: Native Iso Min: 200 Iso Max: 3200 Sharpness: Low Color: Natural (seems to be closer to what I want before starting color grading than Flat)
The way I've been doing it: 1. Choose/highlight a clip with something I know is bright white in it, like a white line on a road, and using the white balance picker, pick on the white object. This does A LOT to getting colors close. 2. Paste the color setting from that clip to all clips in the timeline. 3. Choose highlight a clip with colors I know what they looked like in it. Use the sliders and wheels to get as close as I can to what I think that frame should look like. then copy that color setting to all the other clips in my timeline.
I think I've read that because if set to auto shutter speed, the GoPro is constantly changing the shutter speed when moving in and out of shade/sun a lot, or the sun goes behind a cloud sometimes, and makes the same grade on a whole timeline not very consistent. My most common dislike of my final output is colors look a little less vibrant than I'd like sometimes, or trees look like they have dust on them, and aren't vivid. If I try to get bright and vivid colors with the sliders, some things get way oversaturated, or sun reflecting even off dirt looks blotchy white like it clipped.
I've played with LUTs after quite a few tutorials, but haven't found better results than just adjusting sliders to get a decent average grade for a whole video. My videos are a lot of moving from bright sun to shade for an hour straight. If I start shooting flat color and manual shutter for an hour long video, is there a way to have a LUT self adjust things as the captured brightness changes?
Feel like I don't know what I don't know at this point, but advice is welcome. I'm not making money with my videos, but would like to improve the output. Thanks

2024.05.21 08:45 LidarFan Hesai Earnings CC. Announced First major global OEM win for car models used outside of China

Hesai claimed to have landed its first global OEM win that will produce vehicles with Hesai LiDAR used outside of China. They would not disclose the OEM name but did imply that this OEM win was a displacement of another LiDAR supplier.
Hesai has now secured design wins with four prominent global OEMs, including three global OEMs' joint ventures and one global automotive OEM with worldwide shipping programs.
Let the speculation begin….hmmm. Can’t imagine Luminar losing Volvo, MB or Nissan…of course anything is possible.
Did Hesai snagged BMW or VW from Innoviz?
They also did claim that their next generation LiDAR 940nm performs better than 1550nm lidars. However, their website specification only listed range of 200m with 10% reflectivity. Taking a direct shot at Luminar’s older design.
Hesai also mentioned that they are selling their LiDARs at $500 Asp.
Our LiDAR approach also features the following. • “905nm/940nm versus 1550nm Wavelengths. Our LiDAR approach features 905nm and 940nm wavelengths using GaAs-based VCSELs, which are well proven for three-dimensional sensing used in consumer electronics such as smartphones. We believe the laser and receiver components for 1550nm wavelength generally suffer from high power consumption, higher cost of fiber laser, and low sensitivity of InGaAs-based receivers. Accordingly, a LiDAR with 1550nm wavelengths requires many non-automotive-grade components to support a marginally longer detection range at a much higher cost with limited point density as a result of the massive power consumption of 1550nm system. As a result, we strategically adopt mature GaAs-based VCSELs at 905nm/940nm wavelengths. We also see a high possibility that we can further optimize LiDARs at 905nm/940nm wavelengths to exceed the 1550nm wavelength approach in terms of detection range by upgrading the laser receivers and the ASICs processing them.”

2024.05.21 08:10 hkmckrbcm Trip report from 2 days in Hangzhou.

Trip report from 2 days in Hangzhou.
Warning: long body text ahead. Skip to tl;dr if you want.
I visited Hangzhou with my wife for the first time this week, and thought it would be interesting for some here if I shared my experiences trying to get good longjing.
I've read a lot about longjing prior to this trip, and watched videos. But I've never tasted a good one so I knew that I'd probably be spending money to build a taste "library" in my head to learn what I'd like and didn't. I also knew coming in that I'd probably get scammed (spoiler alert: I think I definitely did).
I made the biggest, dumbest rookie mistake of walking into the first tea shop I saw in Hangzhou city and sitting down to taste 2 teas. The lady at the store was very nice and not pushy, but a combination of knowing what longjing prices are like online, excitement, and fear of pissing her off by walking off without buying anything made me buy 3 teas: - 50g ming qian longjing for 180rmb - 25g of fully handmade longjing for 100rmb (listed price was 280rmb for 50g but she said she'd give a discount which made me realise I probably should've bargained for the first tea too) - 30g of 2023 2nd grade stuff for 20rmb
I realise that I didn't ask about cultivar or picking region, but the labels listed a very generic "Zhejiang" as growing region which leads me to believe it wasn't even grown around Hangzhou.
After spending 300rmb in literally the first shop we stepped foot in, I managed to hold off on buying any more tea until 5 hours later. We stopped at a few places and noticed they always have a few different grades of mingqian tea, depending on how early they're picked. They also always ask the same question: "are you getting it for yourself or as a gift" and would recommend the super premium stuff if you say you're gifting it. Their descriptions of the teas are also much simpler than what I'd see online: early mingqian stuff has no bitterness and has sweet floral notes with stronger "huigan" while later picked stuff is always described as being richer and stronger (which... Doesn't sound too bad to me at all)
The next shop we got tea from was in a very local market, we were probably the only foreigners in the place. The lady at the store said that what she sells is not Xihu longjing, but grown in longwu which is just outside the Xihu area. She mentioned that most of her customers are local, which I believe. I paid listed price of 60rmb for 50g of longjing #43 grown in longwu. Looking back, maybe I could've bargained? I don't know.
The last purchase of longjing was on my last day when we noticed a nice street just 2 minutes walk from our accomodations. An old man, sitting down in his chair and happy to showcase his teas with no hard selling at all (rare in my last 2 days here). He proudly showed me his calloused hands and said they were a result of the wok frying process that he does, and that the tea he sells is made by him. Sadly I had bought too much tea by this point and didn't wanna spend much more on longjing (I'm still going to Huangshan where I'm sure to encounter and buy other teas). His broken tea leaves were also ridiculously cheap so I got myself 300g of broken leaves for 36rmb!
I dumped some in my water bottle and have to say, I really enjoy this and feel that the price point means I can enjoy it casually much more often.
Of course, everything I know about the teas are what I was told. I really have no idea how to verify their claims about cultivar, growing region, or picking dates.
Hope I've learned from this and will get to taste all these teas blind when I go home and figure out what kinda tastes I personally enjoy. I'm enjoying china and definitely wanna come back!
Summary/tl;dr: Spent 2 days in Hangzhou. Bought tea at the first shop I stepped foot in, probably dumb decision. Spent 300RMB on 100g of tea (3 types. Then got some Hangzhou longjing at a local market, grown in longwu which is outside the Xihu region - paid 60RMB for 50g Lastly got some broken leaf Xihu longjing - paid just 36RMB for 300g of broken leaves.

2024.05.21 07:41 taqqwaaaaa McMaster CS Questions Schedule/Courses

I have no programming experience but plan to take ICS3U (Grade 11 CS) in summer school but I don't know how that will work out. I may try to complete CS50 also.
The first-year courses are:
COMPSCI 1JC3
COMPSCI 1MD3
MATH 1B03
MATH 1ZA3
COMPSCI 1DM3
COMPSCI 1XC3
COMPSCI 1XD3
MATH 1ZB3
Can someone try to rate the difficulty of these courses on a scale of 1-10. It would be helpful if the rating was done by someone who held no prior coding experience.
Since CS comes under the faculty of Engineering, would the electives be only chosen from the complementary studies elective courses list? And which ones would be easily 12-able? (especially the ones with no exams).
Is the schedule pre-made? Can you submit a request to change the timings?

As a bow enthusiast, I've always been on the lookout for a reliable and accurate bow sight. When I came across the CBE Engage Hybrid Bow Sight, I knew I had to give it a try. This bow sight has made my shooting experience smoother and more enjoyable than ever before.
One of the features that really stood out to me is the frustration-free pin adjustments. It allowed me to adjust each pin individually, making the entire sighting process incredibly precise and efficient. The Dovetail Mounting System added an extra layer of stability, which was a great addition to ensure accuracy while shooting.
Another aspect I liked about the CBE Engage is its quad-track design. It prevented any rocking or rattling from happening whilst adjusting, ensuring a steadier and more secure experience. Plus, its Rapid Drive elevation adjustment system allowed me to make quick, high-precision adjustments with ease.
However, there were some cons too. For instance, the learning curve to use all the features can be quite steep. But once you get a hang of it, it's definitely worth the effort.
All in all, the CBE Engage Hybrid Bow Sight has been an absolute game-changer for me. Its unique features, combined with its impeccable craftmanship, make it a top-of-the-line choice for anyone seeking an accurate and reliable bow sight.

I recently got my hands on the Olympus EE-1 Red Dot Sight with Crosshair Reticle, and I must say, it has been a game-changer for my photography adventures. The EE-1 has made tracking fast-moving subjects much easier, especially during bird photography.
One of the standout features was the Center Aiming Dot. It was incredibly useful in capturing my subjects at the right angle, without losing sight of them. The ability to adjust the brightness and position of the dot was a bonus, as it allowed me to customize the settings according to my shooting environment.
The EE-1 is designed to mount onto a camera's hot shoe, which ensures a snug and secure fit. Plus, its dustproof and splash-proof design has kept it safe from the elements during my outdoor shoots.
However, there were a few cons that I experienced while using this product. The adjustment wheels for the brightness and position of the dot are slightly vulnerable to movement during shooting, which could lead to maladjustment. Another issue I faced was the difficulty in turning off the LED when the sight is collapsed for storage, as it can consume battery power.
Overall, the Olympus EE-1 Red Dot Sight with Crosshair Reticle has been a valuable addition to my photography kit. Its innovative features have greatly improved my ability to capture moving subjects, despite the few minor flaws.

🔗TruGlo Crossbow Scope with Unisex Camo Design

I've recently had the chance to try out the TruGlo 4x32 Rangefinding/Trajectory Compensating Crossbow Scope, a nifty piece of equipment for enthusiastic crossbow users like me. The scope's main highlight was its ability to find the range and calculate the correct trajectory for my crossbow bolts. In my experience, this feature proved to be quite handy in my local archery range, particularly for those days when the wind and temperature were unstable.
One of the things that stood out to me was the scope's robustness. It was designed to handle the harsh conditions of the outdoors, as evidenced by the sturdy aluminum body and the shock-resistant construction. This scope also offered a generous 4-inch eye relief, a feature that helped protect my eyes during those blustery hunting sessions.
The scope's lenses were fully-coated, making them highly resistant to glare, a common concern for crossbow users shooting in low-light conditions. Additionally, the durable leavespring for windage and elevation adjustments were a welcomed bonus, allowing me to finetune my shots with ease.
On the downside, one of the screws on the scope rings was stripped, a minor issue that wasn't a deal-breaker. I also discovered that the scope wasn't rated specifically for a particular crossbow speed. To achieve optimal accuracy, I had to adjust the scope manually, which was a bit tricky and time-consuming.
Regardless of these minor downsides, the TruGlo 4x32 Rangefinding/Trajectory Compensating Crossbow Scope proved to be an essential piece of equipment in my hunting arsenal. I recently had the chance to give the Xs R3D 2.0 a try in my Desert Eagle Pistol, and I must say, it has been a game-changer for my shooting experience. In low-light environments, the sight really shines, thanks to the tritium front and rear glow dots that absorb ambient light. It's been a lifesaver during those late-night training sessions, and it certainly makes a difference when it comes to visibility.
One feature I especially appreciate is the wide notch rear with serrations and anti-reflective lens. It ensures that the sight never gets in the way during the shooting process, and it also blends in seamlessly with the gun's overall design. The corrosion-resistant black nitride surface finish is another plus, as it not only looks sleek but also adds durability to the product.
However, there are a couple of downsides to the Xs R3D 2.0. Firstly, the sight is a tad bulky compared to other models in the market. It might not be ideal for those who are looking for a more compact option. Secondly, the 3-dot tritium sight picture may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it's a personal preference that might be worth considering.
Despite these minor drawbacks, the Xs R3D 2.0 has proven to be a reliable and high-quality sight for my pistol. Its performance in low-light conditions and the overall build quality have made it a valuable addition to my gun collection. So, if you're in the market for a top-of-the-line sight for your Desert Eagle Pistol, I'd highly recommend giving this one a try.

As someone who has been using it for a while, I can confidently say that it's a game-changer when it comes to finding celestial objects in the sky. Another aspect I truly appreciated is the mounting base, which securely attaches the sight to telescopes of all sizes. However, one drawback I encountered is that the Telrad Reflex Sight can be quite heavy, making it challenging to carry around on outdoor adventures. Also, the mounting base could be more versatile, as it only works with a specific type of telescope.

Its ease of use, durable construction, and helpful features make it an excellent choice for anyone seeking to upgrade their crossbow hunting experience.

The rapid drive elevation adjustment system is truly rapid, offering high-precision adjustments in a matter of seconds.
However, one potential downside is the relatively short length of 10 inches. While this may be ideal for some, it could limit the versatility for others. 2024.05.21 07:01 According_Might4679 What is in the water at my school?

my school gave away the senior addition to all of us seniors ( a magazine that they do at the end of the year for seniors)
To preface: I live in an exurb in Texas, it’s pretty small. My graduation class has just a little bit over 300 graduating tomorrow.
so, in the senior addition, there was a list of the top five colleges that has the most graduates from my school going to in the fall. Top 3 schools were instate public schools of course.
But, the fourth most popular school that kids in my graduation class are going to is…STANFORD, 7 KIDS ARE GOING TO STANFORD FROM MY TINY ASS SCHOOL— AND THATS NOT EVEN EVERYBODY (i know of) GOING TO IVY LEAUGE SCHOOLS.
This whole time I just thought my school’s grades were hyper inflated, i mean i had a 3.9 gpa and i was ranked 140/340, but it turns out everybody was just smart, I guess.
I’m not bitter or mad, I don’t even have money to go to to an IVY and i definitely didn’t try hard enough to try and get into one, I just thought it was really crazy.
Even the kid who bullied me my freshman year, got into MIT. I think im just more in awe than anything.

2024.05.21 06:54 Cheese4569 I need help keeping my friend group together about to go into high school

I’m an 8th grader, well only for about 2 more days but soon me and my circle of about 7 friends are going to high school. I see everyone talking about how their middle school friendships ended when they started high school but during lunch the 8 of us made a pact to make sure that doesn’t happen, which really only happened cuz I begged for it to happen. I’m really the only one of us to care about this because the other guys have strong confidence that we’ll do just fine. And I do have a little de ja vu from 5th grade stressing about the same thing happening in middle school and we did fine, even happening to gain more friends too. I just don’t want us to drift apart and become just extra faces in the halls, some of our friendships go back all the way to kindergarten/1st grade. Give me advice how to make sure this doesn’t happen.

2024.05.21 06:49 joshking5739 Scaling Sukuna

Scaling Sukuna
  • Strength: He should be physically the strongest due to Meguna being equal or even relative to Gojo, he also makes Mahoraga throw up and knocks out Jogo multiple times in their fight and can send Gojo flying with one punch alone and Yujikuna and Heiankuna would be above this.
  • Due to them being physically better than Megumi's body mean Heiankuna > Yujikuna > Meguna ~> Gojo. These are all opponents that he can send through multiple buildings, and destroy entire portions of the city with just punching, kicking, throwing, slamming, etc.
Knocking Jogo out something Gojo Blue amped couldn't do himself
Mahoraga throwing up after getting kicked then punched by Yujikuna
Meguna sending Gojo flying his weakest form by the way (physically of course)
  • Speed/Reaction: Meguna can speed blitz in their Domain clash while in the midst of CQC, and can also perceive and react to Kashimo EM waves while chanting and firing off his WS Dismantle.
  • He can also react to Gojo's Hollow Purple at 200% while off guard, and he's also fast enough to move on air being able to straight-up dodge and run on it with just sheer speed.
Speed blitzed Gojo inside their Domain Expansion but Gojo can perceive him but not stop him
Keep in mind this new Dismantle has a start up time and takes time to charge
This is heavily fatigued mind you and in the anime he's shown just floating in air
  • Durability/Endurance: As we know he is easily top 2 in endurance he's literally been fighting the entire verse while holding back on most of them such as Yuji, Yuta, Rika, Higuruma, Kashimo, Gojo, and Choso these are Grade 1 to Special Grade level fighters with Gojo and Kashimo being the 2nd in 3rd strongest.
  • And as for his durability, it's also nuts but I will list everything that Meguna and Heiankuna survived. Meguna has survived Infinite Void, 200% Hollow Purple, Red + Black Flack Blue infused, Point blank Hollow Purple, and 2 beatings from Gojo inside his Domain.
  • Heiankuna has had his heart stabbed and jumped by Yuta (Domain amped), Yuji who weakens him with soul punches in Rika who is a monster physically.
  • Not only this but gets hit with a Maximum Output Jacob Ladder (Domain amped), 8 Black Flashes + Soul Damage, got hit with Cleave (Domain amped) and Piercing Blood and this man is still alive and just now has reached Yuta levels of CE (more than Gojo) after being jumped by Yuji in Todo in can still cast his Domain.
Arguably the strongest attack in the entire series
A literal technique that should have extingushed Heiankuna but survives and doesn't get sepearted from his host
200% Hollow Purple off guard another attack that's in debate for No.1 strongest attcks in series and Meguna only loses his hands
  • Close Quarters Combat: Sukuna is the best at CQC beating Gojo multiple times and his weakest form (Meguna) and beats Kashimo in CQC as well these are the top 5 characters overall in verse and he beats them nerfed one way or another with Gojo losing to his weakest form and Heiankuna is still weakened.
  • He utterly dominates other characters such as Mahoraga, Maki, Yuji, Yuta, Rika, Jogo, etc. Proving that he's objectively above anyone that's weaker than the top 3 in CQC.
Beats Gojo in CQC the second best in the series tied with Kenjaku (in CQC people it's stated don't kill me)
Bodies Mahoraga in CQC while not going all out
Beats Kashimo in CQC while he in MBA
  • Attack Potency/Destructive Capability: With his Malevolent Shrine at 140 meters w/18F + Mummy Head he nearly kills Gojo and that's not even his full power either he can shrink his Domain to increase the output.
  • With (Divine Flames, Open) he eradicates Mahoraga and wipes Shibuya off the map while Divine Flames are only at 140 meters, due to Malevolent Shrines radius meaning it has a 400 diameter due to Malevolent Shrine's max range being 200 meters and he didn't even use this against Gojo. This means he has two ways to kill Gojo, and Heiankuna's output would be stronger than the other two because he can chant in fight.
Shibuya after Yujikuna used Malevolent Shrine and Divine Flames on Mahoraga.
Heiankuna's Divine Flames dwarfing the buildings near and is as big as Malevolent Shrines max radius (200 meters)
18F + Mummy Head (19F worth of strength) Malevolent Shrine not even at FP almost kills Gojo
  • Intelligence: He's easily top 10 in his verse and arguably in the top 5 or even 3. He completely outsmarted Gojo in their fight from start to finish to gain the extended version of Dismantle and figured out Megumi's Shikigami's abilities rather fast. He also knows Gojo is amping himself with a CT during their first fight and planned on taking Megumi's body from the beginning of the series and can master things on sight.
Explaining how his World Splitting Dismantle works in how he figured/planned it out
Finds out Megumi's technique and it's potentinal on top on knowing his plan from the jump
He quite literally is saying how he was planning to get Megumi's body from the start
  • TLDR: Overall Sukuna is No.1 and is country-level and FTL in terms of speed, he is a monster and the only one to ever surpass him or rival his strength will be Yuji and even that's a stretch in itself. If you want me to go more in-depth on why I believe Sukuna scale to where I put him feel free to ask in the comments
  • Sorry for reposting guys I just thought there were things I missed out and felt that adding his abilities was unnecessary as I would have to do that for other characters like Itachi which I'm just not doing. But feel free to let me know something, I do change the post if something gets contradicted or find new information.

As an avid hunter, I've always prioritized safety while trekking through the wilderness. When I first heard about the Muddy Safe-Line 30" Durable Nylon Outdoor Hunting & Tree Stand System, I knew it would revolutionize my outdoor experiences.
One day, I ventured into the dense forest, armed with nothing but my rifle and the Muddy Safe-Line System. As I climbed my tree stand, I felt a strong sense of security. This 30-inch long nylon rope, durable enough for its advertised 300-pound weight capacity, stretched before me. The Prusik knots felt reassuringly comfortable as they guided me up the tree. In the low light of the forest, the rope's visibility played a crucial role.
However, this wasn't all about safety; it also made my climbing experience seamless. The nylon rope was flexible enough to adjust to my movement, making climbing and descending a fluid affair. Yet, it maintained a solid grip, ensuring I never lost my footing.
In essence, the Muddy Safe-Line System is a vital tool for hunters seeking a balance between safety and ease of use. Its unique features ensure it's worth the investment for any hunter. Whether it's your first time climbing a tree stand or you're a seasoned pro, this durable nylon rope system is a game-changer, promising a safer and more enjoyable hunt.

I recently gave the Realtree EZ Rope a shot, and let me tell you, it made my tree stand experience so much better. With its 25-foot length, hoisting my gear up was a piece of cake, thanks to the easy-to-handle plastic handle.
The EZ Rope even came with an extra-sturdy coated carabiner that securely locked onto my tree stand. The nylon braided rope, with its reflective threads, allowed me to locate my stand in the dark with ease.
But be careful - if you're not careful, the rope can get tangled up in a mess. All in all, the Realtree EZ Rope was a handy addition to my tree stand setup, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking to make their hunting life a bit easier.

🔗Stainless Steel Climbing Tree Stand Replacement Cable

Sometimes, you need a reliable replacement cable for your climbing tree stand. That's when the Eder Stainless Steel Cable comes in handy. This durable cable is priced per foot, so you only order the exact length you need.
A 3/32" diameter ensures it's sturdy yet lightweight. I've had great experiences with this cable, but the drawback is that you have to calculate the number of feet you need before placing the order.

🔗Safe-Line Climbing Tree Stand Replacement Cables for Hunting

https://preview.redd.it/fj25qvn8gp1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cb7834c7dbc70ff942876ba7cac9a0020e0a0955
I recently had the chance to try the Muddy Safe-Line 30" Durable Nylon Outdoor Hunting & Tree Stand System, and I must say, it has become my go-to for all my hunting tree stand adventures. The first thing that stood out was the safety aspect - knowing that I had a reliable system to climb up safely, no matter the condition, was a relief.
The product's durability was impressive too, as it withstood the wear and tear of climbing up and down trees numerous times. The nylon rope stretched to 30 inches, making it perfect for my needs and providing a smooth climbing experience.
However, it's not all smooth sailing. One downside I've noticed is that when the weather gets rainy, it can take some time to dry, which can be inconvenient. But overall, this Muddy Safe-Line system has made my hunting excursions much safer and more enjoyable.

🔗Tough, versatile 7/16 climbing rope for arborist and tree work

https://preview.redd.it/71wp2n29gp1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a8495a2cadbe0fd8f66549a6fb3438e249bffa3d
As an arborist, I've always been on the lookout for a reliable climbing rope that can withstand the harsh elements and resist chemical damage. The 7/16" Arborist-24 Climbing Rope was a game changer for me. It's not your standard rope – it's made specifically for professionals like me, who need to tackle complex tree work.
One of the most impressive features of this rope is its 24-strand construction. This doubles the strength, making it a reliable option for heavy-duty tree maintenance. The nylon core is both durable and flexible, ensuring a seamless climbing experience. And I love the double-ply braid design – it gives the rope an added level of toughness.
The polyester cover is what really sets this rope apart. Its chemical resistance is top-notch, meaning it'll stand up to all kinds of environmental hazards without a hitch. Plus, it's incredibly smooth to the touch, making it a pleasure to handle.
The 7/16" diameter is ideal for my line of work, providing a good balance of strength and control. The rope is also lightweight, which is a big plus when you're spending long hours in the tree canopy.
There are a couple of downsides to this rope, though. First, it needs more maintenance than some other ropes – the chemical resistant polyester cover can be a bit more high-maintenance. Also, the factory splicing eyes can be beneficial but they do lower the minimum breaking strength to 5,400 lbs, which might be a concern for some users.
All in all, the 7/16" Arborist-24 Climbing Rope is a fantastic choice for arborists and anyone else dealing with demanding tree work. Its toughness, smoothness, and ideal diameter make it a standout product in its category.

🔗Tough Winch Cable for Tree Stand Replacements

https://preview.redd.it/kkm16ke9gp1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b712c79ca95da52534e8250f0004bf72c52deb90
The Badland 3/8 in. x 65 ft. Replacement Winch Cable with Hook is a sturdy and versatile aid for those needing to tackle tough tasks that require a winch. As someone who has personally put this cable to use, I can attest to its reliability and effectiveness.
The cable's heavy gauge steel construction and zinc plating make it a formidable force against rust, ensuring durability in even the harshest environments. Its aircraft grade braided wire design gives it the strength to handle some seriously heavy loads without fraying or snapping.
I appreciated how the cable comes equipped with a heavy-duty drop forged clevis hook, which makes it easy to attach to various objects needing to be pulled or lifted. The hook's robust build added an extra layer of confidence when tackling challenging jobs.
One of the most significant advantages of this product is its versatility. Users have reported using it for a wide range of tasks, from assisting with tree removal and stump pulling to towing large truck trailers out of tricky situations.
However, the cable's longer length might prove a bit unwieldy for some users who only require a shorter cable for their tasks. It could be helpful if there were options available in different lengths to cater to various needs.
In summary, the Badland 3/8 in. x 65 ft. Replacement Winch Cable with Hook is an excellent tool for those who need a long, heavy-duty winch cable with enough strength to tackle even the most challenging jobs. Despite its occasional limitations, it remains a top choice for those who require a dependable and versatile winch cable.

Recently, I had the opportunity to use the 30-06 No Burn Treestand Hoist Rope in my tree stand hunting setup. I was pleasantly surprised by how smoothly it worked, and the no-burn aspect made it incredibly safe to use.
The large carabiner clip made clipping and unclipping the rope simple, while the 4-inch tubing helped protect my fingers as I let the rope down. However, I did notice that the rope wasn't long enough for my 25-foot tree. Overall, this product stood out for its safety features and easy use, but it would be ideal if it came in a longer length too.

When I first got my hands on the Summit Treestand SU83102 Safety Line, I could feel the quality in the materials. The 30-foot length allows for plenty of range when ascending and descending the tree. One of the standout features for me was the dual slide-and-grip prusik knots. They made it easy to adjust and move without needing more than one hand, making the entire process smooth and efficient.
However, I did notice that the safety line wasn't the most affordable option on the market. It's a bit of an investment, but for those who prioritize safety while hunting, it's well worth the price. With a weight capacity of 300 lbs, it's a reliable and secure choice for anyone looking to climb trees with ease. Overall, I'd recommend the Summit Treestand SU83102 Safety Line to anyone seeking a high-quality, dependable climbing safety line.

I recall last season when I decided to invest in brand new climbing tree stand replacement cables for my Lone Wolf Alpha, after learning about the importance of safety. This product, Hang On Cables, turned out to be an excellent purchase that I couldn't be happier with. Not only did the cables fit perfectly into the stand, but they also came with all the necessary hardware for installation. The peace of mind that came with this purchase has made a significant difference in my hunting experience.
However, I did encounter one minor issue with the knob of the platform leveling assembly on one of my cables. It required some creativity with needle nose pliers to remove the nylon lock nut, but I managed to get it done. But aside from this small hurdle, the customer service and overall quality of the product have been above my expectations.
With Hang On Cables in place, I've been able to enjoy a safer and more secure hunt, knowing that I have the right protection to prevent any unwanted incidents.

I've been using this Cypher 300' Accessory Cord for climbing, and I must say, it has made my life so much easier. The vibrant green color not only looks great but also makes it easier for me to spot as I'm scaling the tree. The high-strength nylon construction of this cord is impressive, and it has handled the rigorous demands of my climbing adventures without any issues.
However, one thing I noticed was that the spool it comes in can sometimes be a bit tricky to close, but overall, I'm quite satisfied with my purchase.

I've been using HME Treestand Cable Locks to secure my hunting gear and tree stands every season. Out of the 3 pack of cable locks bundled together, they all have unique keys that match only the corresponding lock, making it convenient for storage. The 6-feet coiled cable is sturdy and self-contained, simplifying the process of securing around any tree. These cable locks are also suitable for securing other outdoor gear like kayaks, patio furniture, and even duck boats.
While these locks provide ample security and ease of use, I did notice some downsides. The keys aren't the same for all locks, which can be a minor inconvenience. Additionally, the cable's durability can be a concern because of potential weather-related rusting. Despite these minor drawbacks, the HME Treestand Cable Locks are a reliable and easy-to-use option for securing your hunting gear.

Since I've started using the Muddy Defender Security Cable, I can't help but feel more secure knowing my treestand is locked up tight. The 7' x 5/16" braided steel cable is incredibly versatile, adjusting from 6" to 7', which is perfect for my needs out in the woods. The pick and hook on the cable make it even more reliable, giving me peace of mind that my camera will remain secure.
The lock housing components are super resistant and designed to last outdoors, and I appreciate the scratch-resistant coating on the rubber-coated steel cable. I must say though, there have been a few times when I struggled a bit to lock the cable, and I wished it came with an easier-to-use lock. However, overall, I'm quite satisfied with the Muddy Defender Security Cable and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable security solution for their treestand.

I recently had the chance to use the Millennium Safe-Link 35 ft. Safety Line during my tree stand hunting adventure, and I must say it made all the difference.
This reliable piece of equipment provided me with that extra level of safety as I made my way up and down my stand. The prussic knot and carabiner ensured a smooth and controlled ascent and descent, giving me peace of mind throughout my hunting experience. Overall, the Millennium Safe-Link proved to be a reliable and essential addition to my tree stand hunting gear, and I highly recommend it to all fellow hunters seeking a safer and more enjoyable outdoor adventure.

Buyer's Guide

Climbing tree stand replacement cables are essential components for deer hunting and other activities that require a stable and secure tree stand. These cables replace the ropes and straps used to hoist and secure the tree stand to the tree, providing a safer and more efficient way to climb and set up your tree stand. When selecting climbing tree stand replacement cables, there are several important features to consider.

Material Type

https://preview.redd.it/9a1fu91fgp1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3f7ab59a52a438b19f4746ed18622de084a2ead5
The material type plays a crucial role in the durability, strength, and resistance to wear and tear of climbing tree stand replacement cables. Common materials used in tree stand cables include nylon, polypropylene, and steel. Nylon and polypropylene are lightweight, flexible, and easy to handle, while steel provides additional strength and durability. Consider your needs, budget, and the expected use of the cables when choosing the material type.

Length

Ensure the replacement cables have the appropriate length to secure your tree stand safely and effectively. The length should be long enough to accommodate different tree diameters and heights, allowing for easy adjustment and ensuring a snug fit. Check the manufacturer's specifications for the recommended length of the cables before making a purchase.

Diameter

The diameter of the climbing tree stand replacement cables is another important factor to consider, as it determines the cable's strength and thickness. A thicker cable will generally be stronger and more durable than a thinner one. However, also consider the ease of use and comfort when handling the cables. Larger diameter cables may be more difficult to handle, but they provide better support and stability.

Weight Capacity

Ensure that the climbing tree stand replacement cables you choose have a weight capacity suitable for your needs. The weight capacity should not only account for your own weight but also consider the weight of the tree stand, hunting equipment, and any additional accessories. Choose cables with a higher weight capacity to ensure a safe and secure tree stand setup.

Brand Reputation and Customer Reviews

Research the brand reputation and customer reviews of the climbing tree stand replacement cables before making a purchase. Look for brands with a proven track record of producing high-quality, durable products that meet the needs of their customers. Positive customer reviews and testimonials can also provide valuable insights into the performance and reliability of the cables.
When choosing climbing tree stand replacement cables, consider factors such as material type, length, diameter, weight capacity, and brand reputation. A well-informed decision will ensure a safe, secure, and efficient tree stand setup for your hunting or outdoor activities. Always follow proper safety guidelines and maintain your cables to prolong their lifespan and ensure optimal performance.

2024.05.21 06:12 Sonnyjoon91 *** Collaborative Mystery **** Nancy Drew and the Curse of the Arctic Star, Chapter 8

Ahoy Mateys! It is time for the 5th #letswriteamystery thread, Nancy Drew and the Curse of the Arctic Star, an adaption of the ND Diaries. If you are not familiar with these collaborative mysteries, I write a basic story and post chapters every Monday, each chapter has a poll at the end and you just comment if you want A, B, or C. You could even write in your own option if you feel like it. You have all week to vote, and then whatever option gets the most is used in the story! For the sake of clarity, I will post this week's chapter, and last weeks chapter in case you missed it. There are usually about 10 chapters total, so buckle up for a couple months of fun. Let's set sail on adventure!
NDARCTICSTAR #Titanic
“Dear Hannah,
Thanks to a client of my father, Becca White, my friends and I are off on a transatlantic journey of a lifetime! She works for Arctic Star Line, owned by an eccentric billionaire named Clive Parker whose passion project is finally coming to fruition, a full scale replica of the Titanic. Her maiden voyage is the most exclusive cruise in the world, and will have all sorts of famous celebrities and important people in attendance as we sail across the Atlantic, from New York City to Southampton and Belfast. Guests can dine on items from the original menu, enjoy a 5-piece band performing the set list of the doomed musicians before them, and sail to the site where so many souls were lost for a tasteful ceremony, hopefully returning unscathed to the Titanic’s port of origin. Becca assures me it has fully modern safety measures in place and there will be no iceberg. But it hasn’t been all smooth sailing, after a series of mishaps that have delayed the launch for several years, Becca is worried something very real is cursing this ship, and has asked my friends and I to go undercover and make sure nothing happens on her maiden voyage. Will she be doomed to the depths, like her namesake? Or sail off into the horizon, unscathed? Off I go, on an adventure through time. Bon voyage!

2024.05.21 06:07 hyp3rlethal_ Help with the whole transfer process

Hello, I'm currently an incoming freshman who is committed to St Thomas and while I love the school it isn't my ideal college. I wasn't able to apply to my ideal colleges because my Mother didn't let me and because my grades wouldn't have gotten me in (I'm graduating with a 2.8 uw and a 2.9 w) just to name a few Lehigh, Syracuse, Providence, BU, BC, Colgate, Holy Cross, Amherst, ETC. I'm just wondering what the transfer process is like and what are some things I should do other than keeping my grades up? St Thomas's business core is set up so you have a lot of credits done your first year (most business core classes are 3/4 credits but they only last half a semester so per semester you get twice the amount of credits for business core classes than if I went to UMinnesota which was my other option) they also have J Terms which I plan on doing. So say I apply to transfer Feb/March would they look a lot at my test scores and GPA? From what I mapped out with a J term I would have around 45 credits at St Thomas prior to fall 2025 semester. one final question, how transfer friendly are the schools I listed? what are some other good private schools in New England/North East are transfer friendly and you would recommend to me?
