Last pic is 2 weeks post 9 sessions. I started in the fall of 2020. Longest break in-between sessions was 1.5 years. Usually I go every 10 weeks give or take. Tattoo used to be a cover up of a quote tattoo 🥲
I feel a bit stuck lately and a bit disecouraged wether this will come off eventually. I do not see so much progress since session 4... I have no clue how long this is going to take. Some days it seems super dark. First 8 sessions were done with a picosure, last session was done with a picoplus and an other tech..

I was gonna get a tattoo soon and I was thinking of getting a blur inspired one, I was gonna get the quote “holding on for tomorrow” because the meaning but I really relate to coffee and tv and can’t think of what to get inspired by that… so I just wanna see if anyone has any blur tattoos!

Ik loop al 'n jaar of twee met de gedachten om de tekst "What a terrible day to have eyes" als tatoeage te laten zetten. Zelf heb ik in gedachten om deze op mijn linker onderarm te plaatsen aan de binnenzijde.
Echter, veel steun van familie en partner krijg ik niet voor dit idee. Ze zijn geen anti-tattoo (ze hebben er immers zelf ook een paar), maar specifiek mijn tekst vindt men geen goed idee.
Ik daarin tegen wel. Soms heb je van die dagen dat je dingen ziet, die je liever niet zag. Het is mijn favoriete 'quote' geworden, en zou 'm wel graag als tatoeage willen.

De tatoeage heeft geen speciale waarde o.d, ik vind 'm gewoon leuk, en is soms best toepasselijk.

The post will be a bit long and I'm sorry for that, but I feel a bit gaslit and need to vent. I'd like to know If anyone had the same feeling or I'm in the wrong here.
I'm currently binging all the ink master seasons from the very beginning and I was left veery confused with the task for the elimination tattoo and its execution.
The contestants had to create, and I quote, "an eyeball tattoo using dimension to make it look just like the real thing". Maybe it's cause I'm not a native English speaker, but I was so confused as to why was everyone tattooing eyes? With lashes and stuff. Isn't "eyeball" an actual eyeball that is in the socket, with veins like in the picture?
If I were in the competition and heard the task, I would envision this anatomical slippery ball that is staring at you, but everyone went for the whole eye with eyelids and lashes, and I'm actually questioning my sanity rn🥲
And the amount of toothbrush lashes growing out of nowhere was disappointing. I may be in the minority here, but I think Gentle Jay's eye was the most accurate.

This is just some food for thought as I've been heavy into Elden Ring lore lately. I really enjoy watching youtube videos about Elden ring lore and story. Love watching tarnished/ vaatti and others just to name a few.
I Love trying to tie in real life history or mythology and how it possibly inspired story decisions. It can possibly help us uncover story secrets before they are revealed.
This is going to be all over the place, because I don't have a ton of time to make a huge presentation but I'll try and give you the cliff the notes of what I uncovered and hopefully it inspires someone smarter than me to piece something together.
I first stumbled upon "The Morrigan" mythology when I was watching a Quelaag video and she mentioned how the deathbirds are keepers of the flame. It got me thinking about how in old roman pagan times there was a group of woman called the vestal virgins who were in charge of keeping romes sacred flame. So I googled what that flame in roman/pagan times represented. I somehow stumbled across Brigid or Brigit meaning 'exalted one who was a goddess of pre-Christian Ireland. She appears in Irish mythology as a member of the Tuatha Dé Danann, the daughter of the Dagda and wife of Bres, with whom she had a son named Ruadán. (From Wiki)
According to myth, the Tuatha de Danann resided in a mythical country described as the underworld.
They live in the Otherworld, which is described as either a parallel world or a heavenly land beyond the sea or under the earth's surface.^\1]) Many of them are associated with specific places in the landscape, especially the sídh mounds; the ancient burial mounds and passage tombs which are entrances to Otherworld realms.^\1])^\2]) The Tuath Dé can hide themselves with a féth fíada ('magic mist')^\2]) and appear to humans only when they wish to.^\1]) ^{( kinda like how Melina appears to us} )
She has some crazy similarities to Marika, the flower that represents her is dandelion/sunflower that we see all over the lands, the animal that is most associated with her are lambs... found all over limgrave. Also was known as the goddess who could create trees or something like that. I won't bore you with all the things, but if your interested there are a lot of associations that can be tied to the goddess Brigid and the Elden ring story if you have time to research it.
I dove deeper in Wikipedia and clicked on the link for her father the Dagda. He is considered the great god of Irish mythology And things got a bit interesting here for me. He is often described as a large bearded man or giant. Again I need the help of you guys to try and tie these mythological gods to a possible connection to the Elden Ring characters. I have a few ideas for this guy.
The Dagda has several other names or epithets which reflect aspects of his character.
One being Eochaid

There is a sword in Elden ring called The Regalia of Eochaid, ( Treasured sword of Eochaid, a lesser, long-vanished domain )
I think the old man in the photo from the DLC trailer could be this Dagda character or possibly one of the Giant skeletons sitting on the throne in the under ground.
The Dagda has an affair with Boann, the goddess of the River Boyne. She lives at Brú na Bóinne with her husband Elcmar. The Dagda impregnates her after sending Elcmar away on a one-day errand. To hide the pregnancy from Elcmar, the Dagda casts a spell on him, making "the sun stand still" so he will not notice the passing of time. This kind of sounds similar to Rhadan holding the stars back? I have a feeling there was a secret child had out of wedlock of some kind that will be revealed in the DLC, possibly its messmer?
comparisons are starting to seem more than a coincidence.
I noticed on Wiki that one of the Consorts for the "Dagda" was someone named the Morrigan
Consort means - a wife, husband, or companion, in particular the spouse of a reigning monarch.
When reading up on the Morrigan, I was astonished and some of the things I found.

The Morrígan encourages warriors to do brave deeds, strikes fear into their enemies,
Doesn't the Badb sound like Melina?? she often appears as a crow, Melina has a crow tattoo on her eye. She Morrigan encourages warriors ( us the tarnished ) to do brave deeds?
Her role was to not only be a symbol of imminent death, but to also influence the outcome of war. Most often, she did this by appearing as a crow flying overhead, and would either inspire fear or courage in the hearts of the warriors. In some cases, she is written to have appeared in visions to those who are destined to die in battle
The Morrígan is described as the envious wife of The Dagda and a shape-shifting goddess
I'm not 100% sure of this obviously, but It sounds like Melina is one of three sisters who are a Triple Deity. Is the Morrigan the dusk eyed queen, marika and someone else? or are Melina / miquella and Melania all the same Goddess?
The more you look into this mythology, the inspiration is all plastered all over elden ring.

I know I'm all over the place with this, but I was hoping to inspire someone in the community to maybe make a more clear connection with this Irish Mythology and the story of Elden Ring and maybe uncover an unknown part of the story.

I am the mother of a twinless twin. In September of 2022, two weeks before their 18th birthday, I lost my son and his sister lost her best friend. I'm planning to go to my town's local tattoo shop this week and get a quote on a design. I also want to shave the sides of my head, almost kind of reinvent my entire look. Nothing seems to draw any emotion out of me except when I watch something. Everyone comments on how emotionally flat I am at work but it's just how I feel lately. Before I used to do riskier things that I dont really have the energy to put out fires for anymore. It also feels almost .. cringe? To talk about it, especially if the person doesnt get it. I’m looking at getting a Pride and Prejudice inspired tattoo and I really want to use a quote from the book (it has to be quite long)- If yall could drop your favourite quotes for inspiration I would appreciate it! :)

If you are as well a fellow visionary I would like your help. I want words or a quote that is meaningful but not too corny. I feel that many people have quotes like “divine feminine” or “No rain, no flowers” which aren’t bad, but just a little too overused for me. I don’t mind length if it’s good enough. Megan fox has a tattoo that says “and those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music” which i think is sweet because there’s layers to the meaning. So I guess tattoos that are allegorical would be a way to sum up what I’m looking for but idk. Other cool tattoo quotes I thought of were “As above, so below” but the meaning behind that is everything you do in the physical world will still reflect itself in the spiritual realm. Also IM NOT RELIGIOUS so no religious stuff pretty please🙏 umm I like science things orrr history is cool. anyway yea im not that creative so I can’t think of much but help is appreciated thanks again

Does anyone else get the impression that those two really don’t like each other? Freddie reposted the Jon’s ‘Honest Tattooer’ quoting and approving of Joel Madden’s ‘mistake’ comment. And then Freddie posted a picture of the snake which ‘inspired’ Jon.👀. Tbh, the tattoos Freddie posts on his Instagram make Jon’s look pretty average, in my opinion.

Heyo all, I’ve got a question. So im planning for my next tattoo and I want it to be a Markiplier quote. One that I was thinking was “You may fail, but you fail in a wonderful way.” He said that to Ethan in the Markiplier Makes Pancakes. It makes me feel happy, cause I often make mistakes or fail stupidly, but it’s typically pretty funny. I was also thinking, the most stupid thing, putting “You Right” on my right wrist. Andddd I stopped listening to the podcast around the Dr. Pie Laundry Guy but have stayed up to date with everything via this sub.
I have a huge interest in dating culture, human behavior and data similar to Ali and this little project of mine was really interesting once I got the framework of this list. I started this list once I found this sub in December 2023 and started re listening to the Patreon while working out (and lost 10 lbs ayeee) and writing down information in my notes app. I did my best to keep this list unbiased and just give facts and information that was said.
My own thoughts after making this list is that I'm very sad for Ali. I didn't realize the extent of her dating history. I think about my own dating history or even my friends who are in their 30's and dating and Ali's dating lore runs so deep. Is Ali unlucky with love? Did she pass on someone that could have been great for her? How has she had so many dates with little success in a long term partner or even going beyond 6-8 dates? Or is Skyline the person she has been waiting for? What's the pattern with all this dates/men? So many questions.
I truly do hope Ali finds her guy because I believe theres someone for everyone. Until then, I'll be hopping into this sub (cause y'all are too funny and give the best advice) and waiting for Ali to find Mr. Height.

It's funny, I used to be deadset on getting tatted when I was younger. I wanted to be total patchwork, everything covered. I loved Mei Pang's look! (still do tbh). But as I grow up I find myself getting more turned off by tattoos. I once had a dream I had a huge back piece, it wasn't badly done, but I woke up and was like hell no I'll never get a tattoo. I think the idea of the permanence irks me, and I think I was so drawn to Mei's tattoos because they're symmetrical. One alone, if not minimal, looks out of place to me
I am happy my mind's changed, I look back to my old tattoo ideas and good lord. Granted I thought of them when I was like 14 but still, if I got some of this stuff tatted on me I swear that patch of skin would be cut off by now lol
Some examples are (keep in mind I was ~14): holly (??), "outlaw" (lol okay cowboy..), playing cards (or just an ace), a reticle (??? like why), John 15:13 (I have zero idea why I thought this verse was applicable to myself? not cringe just weird), the american idiot logo (I wanted this SO BAD), JOS logo (the middle row on the right) and ascii art. Keep in mind those are the relatively less embarrassing examples. I was such an edgelord such a weirdo ... I should delete that entire note lol. But that was actually funny to look back on. That being said, I am sort of thinking of getting a small quote tatted on my back, ~below a shoulder blade. Only a few words and not in a corny font. Unsure what quote tho, I love Nayyirah Waheed's poetry, I may do something from her idk. I want something easily hidden, I would also be open to getting one on the nape of my neck. Back when I was with this guy I dreamt of getting a tattoo of his initial with a heart around it on like the spot behind the ear lol, I wouldn't be opposed to something there.
