Friendship poem 2nd grade

Hi guys, I'm confused about how to do well in my degree. For context, I do psychology with neuroscience BSc. I've never done psychology before as my school didn't offer it for A-level, but I did biology for A-level, enjoyed it a lot, and was successful, as well as for my other A-levels.
I was excited to do this degree, and I do enjoy the content. But the coursework and final exams just killed my enjoyment and self-confidence. I'm finishing my 2nd year right now and I'm so terrified of doing poorly, cause it contributes 30% to my degree, and also I just want to understand my course. I've tried different note-taking and revision methods, I've gone to drop-in sessions and sought external help, but my best grades are like a 65% max on an essay (which is not bad but when it's one of the only 2:1 grades you get per term............).
Anyway, I just really need help, especially with understanding how to 1) balance my lifestyle between working + taking care of myself, 2) understand how to critically evaluate, it's so confusing to me and my essays always have the same feedback with too much of a range in grades for me to know what I'm doing wrong and 3) know how to properly revise this content. I think I may have been so used to having a syllabus laid out for me like in A-levels that my brain just doesn't know what's important to know (we only get one sample paper for revision, not any past papers, and MAYBE an online MCQ self-assessment with answers (sometimes not even with answers!!)) Does anyone have any advice?
tldr; I suck at my degree and genuinely cannot find out what's wrong with me and how to improve.

i am the most studious person you’ll ever meet. alam yan ng mga kaklase ko, lalong lalo na ng mga kadorm ko. hindi ako natutulog, magdamag nakaupo sa table at nagsosolve. sometimes even while working, pinagsasabay ko pagsolve sa concerns ng customer while also solving my own fucking problem sets.
i have sacrificed hundreds of sleepless nights para lang makapasok ng maaga kinabukasan. i would always pull an all nighter for my quizzes and exams.
and yet, here i am. still a failure.
yung iba kong subjects na 3 to 5 points na lang para makaabot sa passing grade, hinabol ko sa mga prof ko at nanghingi ng mga pedeng gawin para sa adjustments pero wala eh. hindi na sila nagrereply, tapos yung iba matigas na talaga at di mapakiusapan. hindi na ako nagpilit. kasi alam ko sa sarili ko na hindi naman ako ganon, na hindi ko kailangan magmakaawa. pero bakit wala silang consideration? alam naman nilang working student ako. malate lang ng take sa quiz, zero na. hindi ba pwedeng deductions lang muna?
hiyang hiya ako. sobra. i’m the most vocal and passionate pagdating sa course ko, halos ipagmalaki ko sa lahat kung gaano ko kamahal ang course ko pero heto ako. wala man lang naipasa ni isang subject.

ps. hindi ako nagfull units this sem, since hindi kaya yung tuition fee financially. ako lang naman gumagawa ng paraan para makabayad ako ng tuition. i only took 6 subjects, major pa lahat (in my uni’s curriculum, second year second sem has a total of 11 subjects, 9 majors and 2 minors- advanced math and PE). so 6 out of 6 subjects, bagsak.

for example, where i live, it’s really important for students to have extracurriculars beyond academics. this is true to such a degree that participation in clubs and athletics can often give you more of a competitive edge during college scouting season than your grades, scores, or marks could. thus, it’s really important for young people where i’m at to maintain a well-rounded skill set.

Hi all. Its 3am where I am and I can't sleep because I've had a bit of a back slide. I'm posting on my a burner which is funny because I've never used my real account to post here. Forgive me if this comes off as rambling I just want to use this post to get out as much raw emotion as possible.
So in 2020, I met this girl on Twitter and we kicked off a pretty cool friendship. She was older than I was but I have other friends who I share a similar gap with thanks to university so this was nothing new for me. I was in my 2nd year but she'd already finished university and was working as a biochemist which I was really enamored with because coincidentally, biochem/microbio was my passion. We had alot of shared interests such as reading and anime and I came to really enjoy speaking with her. Things got to the point where we were telling each other everything and I even opened up to her about my depression, and she shared the same with me. It was honestly very reassuring to speak to someone who had similar struggles, but was also on a level of emotional maturity that I could relate to. Things came to pass and she started taking anti depressants. I'd had friends who'd undergone the same medication route so I didn't take things to heart when she started replying to me in a strange manner. The truth of the matter is I'd already made the habit of seeing what I wanted to see. There were plenty of moments where she herself would ask why I put up with her considering she was "such a bitch to me", but in my mind, if she had the awareness to make this statement, she had what it took to treat me kinder. I realize how naive and weak I sound.
About a year in, our conversations were at our lowest. If I wasn't getting left on seen, she was only sending maybe 1 or 2 messages per day. I tried to remain patient, knowing the depressive and anxiety symptoms of anti depressants worsen before things return to normal. But I stupidly thought maybe now of all times she could use a friend so I should hang in there. I was wrong. Finally she ghosted me and it hurt. It was the first time it had ever happened to me, which shows how little life experience I had. But it hurt regardless. Especially considering how close I thought we were, and the fact we still followed each other so I could see she still was active despite never responding to me. I went through a pretty anxious time wondering what I'd done wrong or if I'd been too overbearing or even overstayed my welcome in the friendship. It was pretty devastating not receiving any answers to this but I had no choice but to move on. To try and ease some of it I stopped using Twitter all together and didn't log on until my friend had said he'd sent me a post on there he wanted me to see. This was almost a year later at this point. I checked my messages and saw that I had 2 notifications instead of 1. I thought it was a bot so I went to delete it, but it was her. There was no apology or anything. More or less she just asked "where I went" and "what happened to our convo". I was pretty baffled but stupidly I responded.
We got to catching up In a more formal manner as I was keeping her at an arms length. Until it was apparent she really was trying to pick up where we left off, as though almost a year hadn't passed. So I snapped and asked her what the fuck happened, and she had said that she met someone. Her meeting someone I couldn't care less about, but why couldn't this have just been said. If she wanted me to fuck off for the sake of focusing on the guy, then sure I'd at least know why I was being kicked to the curb. But it was for a 2 week fling that didn't last. She explained all this to me and ended it with "so there you have it 👍🏿". No real apology or resentment. Just a summary.
I don't consider myself an emotional guy, but considering it's nearly 4am now and I'm ranting about how my feelings got hurt maybe I am. But I decided to stick up for myself and tell her what she did wasn't cool. We'd spent a year talking daily, and to just leave me in the cold like that was pretty lame. If she didn't want to speak with me anymore that's all that needed to be said. I told her how I felt in a pretty long paragraph which actually felt good. She asked me if I was finished and I briefly thought I'd actually gotten through to her over how she made me feel inadequate. It turns out she was asking if I had more to say, because she was reading my "tantrum" aloud to her friends and they were all laughing at it. Even now I don't have the words to describe how it felt hearing that. The one time I decided to be vulnerable I was literally mocked. She ghosted me again shortly after.
Finally we get to the part where I ask for perspective. A few days ago I was speaking with my friend, and he remembered I'd been "talking to a girl" some time back and wondering what happened with that. I explained what happened, and he agreed she was lame. He asked me if I'd been "talking to anyone else" since then, I'd I explained that it feels weird trying to talk to new people because I have this strange suspicion that anything I say to them, they'll just share with their friends. I was joking when I said that, but he explained that he believes I'm "traumatized". I don't think that's necessarily the case as trauma is a pretty intense thing to endure, and this was more or less just a failed friendship. All this to ask, for anyone who A.actually read all of this (thank you and I'm sorry for the length) and B. Has gone through a similar situation: do I sound "traumatized"? Before this girl I truly could be described as a quiet person who didn't share things, and was just not emotional in general, so I still feel the same and maybe am therefore biased. But is this irrational fear of having my information and feelings spread a sign of something deeper? Thanks again for reading.

I would first like to start with my gpa: cumulative: 2.75 science: 2.44
I don’t normally post here. However, I can’t sleep because I am very stressed over my future and what to do with myself from now on. For further context, I just finished my 2nd year in a 3+3 predental program. I messed up really bad first year due to just being underprepared for college in general, mental health and having trouble focusing, resulting in a mix of 4 C’s/C+ for genchem/genbio. I couldn’t get my act together 2nd year, but it was a tad bit better, as I was able to achieve B- in anat/physio and B in precalc/physics, but a C in microbiology and C+ in genetics. My non-science courses are a mix of A/Bs. I am still on track to graduate with a BS in biology, having 120 credits completed.
I know for a fact that this is a big no for dental schools. All of my friends are applying this cycle, which is leading me to question myself and this path. I have been researching SMPs and post-bach programs and they seem to be my best bet so far. I talked to my mom about doing one of these programs after graduating, and although she is very supportive in what I do, she thinks it would be better to switch to finance(what she does, and ended up pretty successful). Growing up, I had always wanted to be a veterinarian but switched last minute to dentistry while applying for colleges. Now, I don’t think there’s much of a possibility for either due to my grades. I will be taking the DAT in the beginning of august, and may just decide on what to do from there based on my score.
Given this, I am very concerned about whether it would be worth it to do a post bach or masters to help get into dental school after graduating. Right now, I am very scared that doing these programs will lead me nowhere and it will only be a repeat of bad grades and more money wasted. I am still planning to graduate at the end of my 3rd year because my university is across the country and I don’t want to burden my parents with its expenses so much anymore, but am considering extending a semester(or 2 if I am extra cooked).
I really thank anyone that is taking the time to read this. I know this is a very mopey post where it sounds like I have given up and just don’t have the grit for dentistry, but I really deeply appreciate any advice.

I got a 2nd opinion ASD diagnosis from the Adult Autism Practice. This is a psychologist who specializes in adult autism. Am I really autistic?
In childhood my parents who are antivaxxers/believe in pseudoscience cures like hyperbaric chamber cures cancer were told by teachers and educational professionals --when I was 5 yo and in kindergarten-- that I am autistic and need to get a formal diagnosis. A speech language pathologist said that I had extensive speech delays as a baby. I have letters and report cards that confirm red flags of a developmental disordeautism traits (like not being responsive to social cues, not understanding boundaries, walking with a weird gait, not making eye contact, issue with tone and volume when talking, repetitive behaviors and interests, sensory issues) and even a letter proving that I had speech delays as a baby. I showed these to the 2nd opinion diagnosis team as an adult and got a diagnosis of autism btw. The school psychologist would have tested me for free when I was in kindergarten but my parents refused and sent me to private school instead. My parents also sent me to a clinic that claimed to cure autism by making kids listen to classical music and this clinic was run by a psychologist who had his license revoked. This revoked license was public info on google at that time so my parents knew but still sent me to the clinic to cure my ''weird traits'' aka autism.
I went back to public school for high school due to expensive tuition and closer location. The school staff insisted that I have autism yet again so my parents to me to a private psychologist. This one used no ADOS on me when I was still a child. My parents were the only two people who filled out surveys with numerical scales and on purpose under reported my symptoms. My dad literally laughed and admitted this to me later. My parents only wanted a normal child not an autistic one. So they got me tested to show that I am ''normal'' on paper and to make the school shut up. I had top grades but tons of social issues and otherwise clearly had autism so the school often wrote letters home about my issues.
Other teachers/school staff/classmates/peers/coworkers/siblings/family doctors said I have autism. Even when I told them nothing about my early childhood red flags and was in the self denial phase.
I got an OCD diagnosis when I was 17 yo from a psychiatrist who only diagnosed mental illness and only asked me about my current issues not childhood ones. The psychiatrist was not diagnosing any developmental disorders for anyone and did no testing for these as he only diagnosed mental illness. I got OCD meds which did not reduce my repetitive behaviors so I stopped taking these and my OCD diagnosis was overturned by the 2nd opinion autism diagnosis. Autism explains all of my symptoms yet OCD does not.
My 2nd opinion autism diagnosis had no ADOS but it was done by a recognized clinic that only does adult assessments. I am in my early 20s so my assessment was only me and the psychologist, as is standard in the clinic. There were no numerical scales about autism symptoms. I only described my autism symptoms starting from early childhood. Like an adult version of the ADI-R and using the DSM-5. Plus I showed the psychologist my old childhood letters and report cards which outline autism traits in detail from a young age.
I still 2nd guess myself despite the 2nd opinion autism diagnosis proving that I have autism. What do all of you think? Are 2nd opinion diagnosis valid? Were any of you misdiagnosed or had to get a 2nd opinion autism diagnosis?

I got a 2nd opinion ASD diagnosis from the Adult Autism Practice. This is a psychologist who specializes in adult autism. Am I really autistic?
In childhood my parents who are antivaxxers/believe in pseudoscience cures like hyperbaric chamber cures cancer were told by teachers and educational professionals --when I was 5 yo and in kindergarten-- that I am autistic and need to get a formal diagnosis. A speech language pathologist said that I had extensive speech delays as a baby. I have letters and report cards that confirm red flags of a developmental disordeautism traits (like not being responsive to social cues, not understanding boundaries, walking with a weird gait, not making eye contact, issue with tone and volume when talking, repetitive behaviors and interests, sensory issues) and even a letter proving that I had speech delays as a baby. I showed these to the 2nd opinion diagnosis team as an adult and got a diagnosis of autism btw. The school psychologist would have tested me for free when I was in kindergarten but my parents refused and sent me to private school instead. My parents also sent me to a clinic that claimed to cure autism by making kids listen to classical music and this clinic was run by a psychologist who had his license revoked. This revoked license was public info on google at that time so my parents knew but still sent me to the clinic to cure my ''weird traits'' aka autism.
I went back to public school for high school due to expensive tuition and closer location. The school staff insisted that I have autism yet again so my parents to me to a private psychologist. This one used no ADOS on me when I was still a child. My parents were the only two people who filled out surveys with numerical scales and on purpose under reported my symptoms. My dad literally laughed and admitted this to me later. My parents only wanted a normal child not an autistic one. So they got me tested to show that I am ''normal'' on paper and to make the school shut up. I had top grades but tons of social issues and otherwise clearly had autism so the school often wrote letters home about my issues.
Other teachers/school staff/classmates/peers/coworkers/siblings/family doctors said I have autism. Even when I told them nothing about my early childhood red flags and was in the self denial phase.
I got an OCD diagnosis when I was 17 yo from a psychiatrist who only diagnosed mental illness and only asked me about my current issues not childhood ones. The psychiatrist was not diagnosing any developmental disorders for anyone and did no testing for these as he only diagnosed mental illness. I got OCD meds which did not reduce my repetitive behaviors so I stopped taking these and my OCD diagnosis was overturned by the 2nd opinion autism diagnosis. Autism explains all of my symptoms yet OCD does not.
My 2nd opinion autism diagnosis had no ADOS but it was done by a recognized clinic that only does adult assessments. I am in my early 20s so my assessment was only me and the psychologist, as is standard in the clinic. There were no numerical scales about autism symptoms. I only described my autism symptoms starting from early childhood. Like an adult version of the ADI-R and using the DSM-5. Plus I showed the psychologist my old childhood letters and report cards which outline autism traits in detail from a young age.
I still 2nd guess myself despite the 2nd opinion autism diagnosis proving that I have autism. What do all of you think? Are 2nd opinion diagnosis valid? Were any of you misdiagnosed or had to get a 2nd opinion autism diagnosis?

Okay so I have this friend (F32) “Summer”, who I (F31) have been friends with since grade 2. As we’ve gotten older, I thought as we’ve been friends for so long that we could talk about more serious things. I was invited to her wedding in December 2022 although I wasn’t asked to be in the wedding party which was very surprising and upsetting as neither of us have many friends outside of each other (she’s quieter and I’m adhd & autistic). I had bought my dress for her wedding the summer of 2022 while I was home as my province doesn’t have very good options but as the date moved closer (October) I had to cancel because 1.I’m in university for the first time and I had a final 2 days after the wedding and 2.My father had rapidly declined in his health (stage 4 cancer) so I wasn’t sure if I had to pay to fly back home to see him. (For clarification, she lives in the states and across the country so I would have had to pay for a hotel, and fly there and back before my exam). It was too much and when I saw her the summer of ‘23 (she has a cottage in Canada) her parents just went on and on about what a good party I missed. I did feel extremely guilty but also, how can you not understand my situation? Now my grandfather and father both passed the summefall of ‘23 (August/september). She never offered to come and honestly while I was taking care of my father through chemo and he was extremely abusive, she just kept telling me to stay positive and how he could survive but I needed to think positively (he was stage 4 pancreatic, a literal death sentence) so I felt very brushed off. Now she recently had a baby which I’m so excited for her but her and her family keep pushing me to go and visit which again, is super expensive for a student and at first I said I would around June but then both my parents (mum and stepdad) had major health scares, like my mum had an “untreatable cancer” scare so I flew early to be there with them through the doctors appointments. Again when I brought this up with my friend she brushed me off saying I should just stay positive! Anyways, now I definitely can’t afford to visit later this summer because of my earlier visit and I’ll need to work. I also just took myself to Mexico after exams as a “dead dad trip” because I couldn’t afford to take ANY time off of school or work when he passed so I just..kept..going and then I needed to run away and heal but I felt guilty and like I’d be judged because “if I could afford that, I should be able to afford to visit her” :/ I’ve kind of been moving away from the friendship now and I struggle that I feel like she wants me to be there for her but I’m not getting that back. Am I wrong? I know she hasn’t dealt with..basically anything epically difficult in her life. No loss, no divorce, no student loans, nothing. I told him I'm sorry you feel that way but I didn't ruin your life. He said that when he was suspended, he lost a scholarship. Then his parents kicked him out and quit funding him for getting "kicked out for cheating." So when the suspension was over, he couldn't come back. He said he didn't finish college until he was almost 30. He then stood up and grabbed his partner's hand and then insulted me. He told me "youre not so high and mighty now? Are you WAITER". He said waiter with disdain and like it was something to be ashamed of.
l told him that was unnecessary and to stop yelling or he would be asked to leave. He said you were my boyfriend and you did that to me. I said I never was your boyfriend. You need to go.
He said they would never come back and that I owed him an apology. I lost my cool and said you deserved it. You stole my essay. You plagiarized. You didn't care about me at all. You would have let me get suspended too. I then told him to get out and we don't want or need his business. And then they left.
I've been thinking about it all week. l'm not sorry for reporting him back in school. But I'm wondering if l'm the asshole for not telling Charlie sorry. Especially since I'm not sorry but maybe hearing those words might have meant a lot to him. And at one time he did mean a lot to me. His face when he was screaming at me was scary. It was so filled with anger and rage over something that happened 20 years ago or so. And then I feel guilty for possibly leading him on all those years ago since he said I was his boyfriend and I didn't feel the same way. I thought he felt the same way I did but clearly I was wrong.

Anw grabe kasi yung hrade requirement sa school namin, and during my g11 days there, wla me awards kasi may 84 me and the qualification for honor student there is 85+ for homor student. Ngayong g12 nman is umokay nman grades ko naayos nman and i must say na pumasa nman ako sa grading for honors. 1st to 2nd term wit honors and ngayon hahaha sa school kasi nmin, for u to have award this coming graduation day need na honor or wla kang 85 pababa during g11-g12 kalungkot lang kasi kahit ngayong g12 inayos ko na ndi na pla magkakaroon ng chance na magkaroon ng award sa graduation day. So I, (20 f) and my gf (20 f) are being avoided by our friend of many years. I’ve known them for 7 years and she’s known them for 3. For some context, at the start of 2024 (let’s call the friend Savannah 💀) blocked the both of us and another friend from seeing both their close friends and main story on Instagram. My gf confronted them about this when she stumbled upon a story posted by them on a separate account. Before this we had asked Savannah why they were not as active but were told they were stressed from college. When we asked about it they apologized and said it was because of their declining mental health but promised that it wouldn’t happen again. After that they had started acting really distant and ignoring texts asking about hanging out during the summer.
Fast forward to now and guess what😭 Savannah did it again. I went onto an account I have for cosplay and noticed that little story circle was lit up around their pfp. So naturally I clicked but nothing shows up. So I thought it was just a glitch but still had this weird feeling about it.
Then one week later my gf goes onto another account and there it is. Another fucking story about some unserious yaoi game💀. My gf confronts them about it immediately and they admit that they were purposely distancing themselves from the 2 of us. Savannah also admits that they are aware of what they’re doing is bad and that “they can’t bring themselves to be close right now” (word for word). The 2 of them start going back and forth a lot and admits that they’re self sabotaging really bad. Gf says that the friendship won’t be the same after this and Savannah says that we shouldn’t try to make the friendship work. They also say that they’re not in the right mindset and that they won’t get better for a while.
So yeah that’s it I just really need some advice because this person has been my friend since like 8th grade and I really care about them. I really want them to get better but they never reached out when I’ve encouraged them to talk to me about their problems. I just want to know should I give them another chance or should I just end the friendship? I don’t want to risk me or my gf getting hurt like this again but I’ve know them for so long and have many good memories. I also don’t want to abandon them completely when they’re at such a low point either. Any advice is appreciated thank you 😭 it’s kind of a lot to type out and I’ve never posted on Reddit before but again I really need the advice.

I (14F) am in 8th grade and want to ask out a guy in my grade. I've known him since fifth grade, and we were actually friends in fifth grade. I've fallen in love with him. I'm also moving away to a different school next year because of my parents jobs. I'm gonna ask him out on the last day of school in June. We have one short class together every other day. Thank god we have this class on the last day of school! Here's my plan to ask him out: Ask him if he'll sign my yearbook (I bet he'll say yes cuz we're friendly-ish with each other), then I'll ask him if I can sign his yearbook. After signing it, I will put my love poem I've written for him, in between his yearbook sticking out. It has a yes and no box to check. We'll see how it goes. Is this a good plan? Y'all tell me if you want me to type out the poem, too.
