Can't insert row into table please help ;-;
Hey guys, I hope you are all doing well! I am currently facing an issue that idk how to fix. Here is the error: new row violates row-level security policy for table "Posts".
Tech I am using:
  • Next js 14
  • Supabase
  • PropelAuth for authentication.
I am following this guide (https://www.propelauth.com/post/authentication-with-nextjs-13-and-supabase-app-router).
I created a supabaseClient.ts file:
import {createClient, SupabaseClientOptions} from '@supabase/supabase-js' import {UserFromToken} from '@propelauth/nextjs/client'; import jwt from "jsonwebtoken"; export default async function supabaseClient(user: UserFromToken) { if (!user) { throw new Error("User not authenticated"); } const jwtPayload = { "sub": user.userId, "email": user.email, } const supabaseAccessToken = jwt.sign(jwtPayload, process.env.NEXT_SUPABASE_JWT_SECRET "", { expiresIn: '15 minutes' }) const options: SupabaseClientOptions = { global: { headers: { Authorization: `Bearer ${supabaseAccessToken}`, } }, auth: { persistSession: false, } } return createClient( process.env.NEXT_PUBLIC_SUPABASE_URL ?? "", process.env.NEXT_PUBLIC_SUPABASE_ANON_KEY ?? "", options ) }
I have a route.ts file at app/api//post:
export async function POST(request: Request) { try { const user = await getUserOrRedirect(); const supabase = await supabaseClient(user); const insertData = await request.json(); console.log("INSERTDATA:", insertData); const { data, error } = await supabase .from("Posts") .insert([insertData]) .select(); handleErrorResponse(error); console.log("DATA:", data); return NextResponse.json(data, { status: 201 }); } catch (error: any) { handleJSErrorResponse(error); return new Response(JSON.stringify({ error: error.message }), { status: 500, headers: { "Content-Type": "application/json", }, }); } }
I did some logging:
INSERTDATA: { id: 'bc9a409d-27ab-41f3-acaa-c1ca295cfcf1', title: 'baseball', topic: 'sport', thumbnail: '', content: '[{"id":"1","type":"p","children":[{"text":"baseball sport"}]}]', tags: [ 'ball' ], user_id: 'acfacc9a-d279-4d1c-a10e-86b2ae529ddb', created_at: '2024-05-15T01:29:30.774Z' } Supabase error: { code: '42501', details: null, hint: null, message: 'new row violates row-level security policy for table "Posts"' }
The supabase access token and jwt payload token are both defined too (logged).
In supabase, I have the following policy for insert:
https://preview.redd.it/5xzcrhauyh0d1.png?width=1296&format=png&auto=webp&s=5bbe3a0553d207e4c2882c013f17d33d69e01a45
Can someone please help me? I have been stuck on this for a few hours ;-; I would really appreciate any help. I can provide for info if I didn't provide any specifically.

2024.05.15 03:46 thoughtsbeinghad77 Having second thoughts about double jaw surgery. Can I still back out despite braces?

I'm 28 (F) and I'm actually in the process of wearing braces to get my teeth in the right position so no date has been set for the surgery and it's only been 10 months of orthodontics so I doubt it will happen for a while. At the moment I'm quite worried about the surgery even if I sought one of the best maxilio facial surgeons in Paris. I didn't seek a second opinion and I regret it because I'm beginning to worry this might not be worth possible nerve damage.
I have a malocclusion class III that was only diagnosed in my mid 20s, I just thought jaws can be ugly like that and that was my lot in life lol. It is not painful but I was told it could get worse with age which is why I thought surgery was a good prevention. I'm also financially okay and french free healthcare covers a lot of it so I was like hey, all factors seem to point me this way. I also can't lie, ever since then I've become accustomed with the idea that my looks would improve since I'm definitely insecure about my large sideways jaw, it helped me thinking this was the obvious choice.
But.
I've been reading about people suffering post surgery from varied levels of permanent lifelong nerve damage and pain that wasn't there to begin with and I already knew this was a possibility but it scares me more as I've read testimonies.
Do you think it's worth going ahead for potential future pain and looks, or it's a dangerous bet ? Before I make any decision, I will go get a 2nd opinion from another surgeon but I'd love to hear from this sub given your experiences.
Above all, is it even possible to back out once the braces have been at work for nearly a year ? I fear my teeth will just revert back if my jaw doesn't align with them later.
Any thoughts welcome. Please go easy on me if you think I've made a thoughtless decision. The looks definitely play a huge part and I do not have a normal looking face lol which is so hard for a woman. I was carried away by how much that would improve my self esteem at last.
I'd like to preserve my anonymity but anyone who wishes to see what my jaw looks like is welcome in dms.

2024.05.15 03:37 Feeling_Musician_677 Meeting Luke Thompson at LLL stage door

Meeting Luke Thompson at LLL stage door
Hi everyone! I am Julia @/blondeinromance who met Luke Thompson on May 11th and had really nice conversation with him.
First of all, I have never met Luke before in person, and I was really intimidated to meet him. When he showed up on stage, I literally squeezed my friend’s hand, because he is so damn HANDSOME! His comedy delivery in play was amazing, and after seeing how he portrayed Berowne in love with Rosaline - oh guys, we aren’t ready for benophie season.
After matinee, me and my two friends went to stage door. When Luke showed up, my heartbeat quickened so hard, and my anxiety level intensified as he moved towards me, I thought I would pass away.
When he reached me, I blabbed that I traveled from Ukraine to see his play, that it was my dream to see him on a stage, and how talented and amazing actor he is, but unfortunately it wasn’t filmed.
Then I told that Benedict is my favourite character from Bridgerton and I can’t wait for him to meet Sophie soon and the way he smiled so wide and said “Yeah, me too, we’ll see” - guys we are blessed that Luke Thompson plays Benedict, that man is true benophie stan, he is so invested in character and benophie love story, I can’t wait for him to be free speak about it.
When he beamed about Sophie I accidentally touched him by shoulders because i was so overwhelmed, and I felt so embarrassed about it, that I specifically went to stage door after evening show to apologise about it, and he said that I shouldn’t worry and all is totally okay. What a man. (sigh)
I told him that he is ready to be leading man, not only because he is talented but also handsome and looks like real Prince Charming. I really wanted him to hear that, so he won’t think he looks like shit in real life. The most nervous for me was to say that he looks hot in glasses, but I made promise for myself to do it, to made this contribution to society. He laughed so hard when he heard it 😂
The main reason, why I managed to say all I said, it’s because you feel really comfortable around him. Luke is really attentive, he listens, he never interrupted me, he didn’t try to hurry me or close conversation even there were people in line after me. Even when I made long pause to gather my thoughts he patiently waited. He is real gentleman. I am so much grateful to Luke for his patience and that he spend his time for me. He is the sweetest and kindest person I met in my life.
By the way, Luke feels really cozy and warm when we hugged, and he smells so good, I couldn’t catch cologne, but really fresh and nice. And I gave him little cheek kiss when we hugged (I should get restraining order on this level😂)
Luke indeed know Russian, but a little bit, a few words. He tried to learn it with Duolingo during covid, but then dropped. I believe Duolingo bird was too aggressive towards him. I offered to be his tutor and he said “Хорошо» (means Okay), so Luke I am waiting to start classes 😉
I congratulated him with winning WhatsOnStage award and Olivier Awards nominee and although he didn’t win - I said that he is always winner in my heart and in hearts of his fans for every award. I felt important to say it to Luke, so he will feel our support. I thanked him for his time and wished all the best in his career.
GIFTS: 1. The main was original edition of “Brothers Karamazov” by F. Dostoevskiy. In interview to Vestal magazine, Luke mentioned that it’s favourite book, and I thought that I have to bring him original edition, since I can buy it in Ukraine. In addition, I ordered copy in custom made lether cover, because I wanted it to be really special present, not just regular book from store. I have to admit that he was in SHIK SHAK SHOK, when I presented it to him, his reaction was so priceless. I was so happy to make him this happy. 2. T-shirts: White was with Turner’s sky painting, which Benedict mentioned in show and black one is very Luke vibes 😁 He liked them both and told that they are beautiful. If he will wear them, I would literally pass out. 3. Small jewelry box (for his rings lol). It has Ukrainian traditional painting called “petrykivka”, thus this is something with Ukrainian touch. 4. Card with nice words. I wrote almost same that I wanted to say (and said) in case I won’t be able to meet him at stage door. Only what I wrote but didn’t say was that I find him very smart and intelligent person, and I always enjoy to read/watch his interviews, it helps me to learn English and to knew more about culture and theatre, since I am not local. I added photos of gifts.
Funny irony, that I was very close to not go to matinee and stage door after, because many people said that he won’t do it or it will be very quick, but in my case it was completely different. At the evening stage door he moved quick through fans, I have to catch him like pokemon 🤣 Luke signed my copy of AOFAG, so apparently he is allowed to do it now? I don’t know did he sign it before. We spoke very quickly because I felt that he was tired and didn’t want to bother him more. I shouted after Luke as he run away: “I hope to see Sophie in s3” and he answered “Fingers crossed!” 🥹
To answering question how I made it and wasn’t coy: 1. I am very unhinged lol 2. I wrote down everything what I planned to say, and read it a few times before meeting him. 3. As I mentioned earlier, you feel very comfortable with him, he is really nice and sweet person and disposes to communication. 4. Just remember he's a regular person
In conclusion, I want to say that it was the biggest and the best experience in my life: to travel alone, in unknown country, to went through visa process - my anxiety was crazy! But when I saw him on stage and then met at stage door - I understand that it’s totally worth it. I told to Luke that I do crazy things for him and he laughed so hard😆I hope I didn’t scared him, because I think it was a lot of me there 😂
Thank you for taking your time and reading this and I wish you all to meet Luke someday 🩵

2024.05.15 03:27 Murder_Giraffe Another review if you feel like reading! From a HW art fanatic

Hey there, here is my review for who cares to read it. I am gonna keep it simple as most people have launched a lot of good and bad points! Just another nobody dropping my opinion!
Fair notice HW is more about the art sound and story to me then it is the game mechanics so I wont touch most of that.
Soundtrack: Seriously how amazing is this. If anything the soundtrack takes this home. It is just incredible to hear and mix with the older entries. Really try mixing it on a playlist it just fits so well, it screams and sounds homeworld! I use all of the HW soundtracks for my creative endeavors and this one is anther godsend. Im not sure it wa 100% made solely by Paul Ruskay, but I can not stress enough just how divine the sound track is to let me immerse fully into that mysterious far away feel so peculiar of HW.
Ambience: Ive paused this game to death so I could look at every single little detail that might be hidden. Might be a bit biased here but I love homeworld for the feeling of wonder. The backgrounds and colors now mixed with new hazy environments make me feel like I am in some mythical dream space. I wish I could express my words better but it will definitely make me wanna draw lots of new things. The megaliths might feel a bit to claustrophobic at times but holy jesus they are and look amazing. Some levels look like a piece of art, really its that beautiful and it left me mouth open.
Combat: Combat was never what I looked for in this game franchise so my opinion is a bit mute here. I do feel sometimes it goes to fast for my liking and some units might not respond so well but I think time will fix this. I do miss watching my slow lumbering ships get ready for action tough and I wish I could have some places with more distance.
Ship designs: Fellas I am a HW1 diehard fan. No ships will ever look better then the Taiidan Ships from HW1 to me :D. Now putting that aside all of the new ships look great! I loved pausing and zooming in on them.
We definitely can see that Higaaran designs have jumped technologically even if the weapon systems don't always make sense, I do think a more streamlined fleet makes a lot of sense. The fighters looks suspiciously a bit Taiidan to me and I like that we might be going full circle there..
The incarnate ships could have had a bit more divergence to them but they are growing on me already. The destroyers look like angry space fish that don't take no for an answer and I'm digging that a lot. Loved all the other little ships you see in the tutorial and campaign start. Kalaan ships were great also! Probably my favorite! I low key love the mega freighter and im happy we rammed it.
Wargames: Played just a couple. Seemed ok to me but I hope we get new fleets (id kill for a Taiidan fleet haha) Please devs?
Lore/Story: Here is where I might be a bit more negative. It starts great. It was amazing to launch from Higaara itself. SERIOUSLY people, how cool was that small part. I almost felt in DOK again and I lost some time here also. It was nice to see Higaara. I loved the Kalaan raiders and a fact that these Taiidan vassals still hate us, for me curiously this was the the cherry on the cake and I loved this little lore detail. The Kalaan captain for the little screen time he had was a great small villian and I wished I had seen him more.
What can I say. I love this franchise to death but I would lie if I wouldn't say that after this point I feel it went down hill there is no denying it. It was not what I was expecting and our main villain was really off putting, I have memed her to death (pigeon on discord, zoom call meme) but I have made my peace with it. I have seen people criticizing about Imogen and Isaac (which is your right if you feel so) but I really feel they worked well in general! It was nice to see a more inexperienced person in command and In general I think Isaac grew on me over time.
Again the Incarnate Queen leaves much to be desired and I firmly believe if we had a more ''serious'' villain in terms of being able to keep his cool and composure this would have been a nice addition to the greater hw story. I guess we got so used to the 1 liner stoic villians from before that this just clashed to much. IQ could have been vocal as she was but I wished there was more maturity. The rest of the campain was ok. Also missed the mini enemies factions that were a HW staple of the series, but i absolutely loved the Kalaan raiders and the little lore we got with them. I could go on a deep dive about the fgreater HW lore that I felt was missing but that's it there is no point for me to debate this more :D
Also I miss the animatics from the old ones. Even In DOK I missed the old style animatics but I guess that makes the older ones so much more special to me now. Didn't care much for the whole dance of personalities going on. That new CGI could have been used to showcase more wonderfull HW places :P!
My conclusion: Take a seat here because this might be a tad emotional. I love Homeworld. No seriously I know you love it also but I love it. No other game has manged to pull me so deep and I still don't know why. It was there when my life went to sh*t and it was there when it got back on track. Homeworld for me will forever be the trip I did from Kharak to Higaara. Nothing will beat 1999 child me listening to the soundtrack for the first time. My main character will always be Banana ship 1 with Karan onboard and all the colonist trays I manged to save. My vilian will always be the Taiidan Emperor and the many little battles I made to get ''home'' (and junkyard dog lol). I will forever try to save as many ships possible and every time Elson hyperspaces above to save me it still makes me fuzzy inside.
And you see I think that is my problem. Somebody else had said here that the OG HW was lightning in a bottle and It will never happen again and I believe it. For some cataclysm was the high point and while I agree its amazing I still prefer og HW. The Vaygr and Makaan felt like imposters to me, I defeated the Taiidan and retook Higaara, surely bathtub jesus wont stop me. Over time he grew on me and I made my peace with HW2 and it changes and now I do really like it. The scene with the Keeper is just engraved in me and I hum the tune from time to time without noticing. As flawed as I think hW3 story was I am happy to be back in the homeworld universe. I'm happy I finally got to see the megaliths and I wish we could have seen even more! I wasen't initially sure of it but now I am.
To finish while a lot of the criticism is fair I feel a lot of it is reaching points of nitpicking at this point. While story wise it wasent what maybe most of us wanted It looks beautiful and I would still recommend people to get it. I wish and hope that we get all the fleets (like remastered did) together for the the wargames and skirmish! And hopefully ill see another homeworld in the future.
Thank you for reading trough my poorly constructed mess of a review. Expect new homeworld drawings to come soon!

2024.05.15 03:14 The_Real_Papabear No need to fear my Nugget Bretheren!

I saw that some of you lost hope after going down 2-0. Shame on you but I understand why some would feel this way. I understand why things seemed bleak and hopeless. Do we have the next MJ? NO! Do we have the greatest shooting big man? No! Do we have the 4x Defensive Player of the Year? No. Do we have the 6th Man of the Year? No. Do we have the Twyman-Stokes Teammate of the Year? No. Do we have the number 1 defense in the NBA? No we have none of those things.
But.....
We DO have things way more important than that. We have a man who's back is so broken that the rest of the NBA said, "we don't wan't you cause you'll never play." We DO have a man who is so bad at dunking that he changed his number to 50 because he couldn't win a dunk contest. We DO have a man so bad at defense that after helping the Lakers to a title they traded him away for scraps. We DO have a point guard who is so bad he has never even sniffed an all-star selection. We DO have a bench nobody believes in full of over the hill vets and young unproven talent led by a guy who somehow managed to win a chip at every level of baskeball there is. And above all we DO have the worst 3x MVP in 40 years who can't jump over a piece of paper and plays no defense.
So I call on you faithful Nugget supporters and ye of little faith to have no fear. Cause despite all of these things we are the baddest mother f***ing basketball team on the planet!!!!!!!!!!!

2024.05.15 03:12 Facinggod20 What makes someone Emperor tier?

This terms is brought a lot but what makes someone an emperors level character? For this I will use all 4 OG Yonko and see what they Excel at
Big Mom
-AcOA and AcOC
-A lot of Hax
-Insane Durability
-Insane physicals
Shanks
-Master of every type of haki
-Insane AP
-Insane Speed
-Top Tier Swordmanship
-Massive Hax
Kaido
-User of every 3 types of haki and it's advanced versions
-Very good AP
-Insane Durability
-Insane Endurance
-Insane Spee
Whitebeard (Healthy)
-User of AcOA and AcOC
-Very good AP
-Insane DC
-Insane Endurance
So Emperor tier characters Excel at multiple areas apart from all of them having at least AcOA +AcOC. They generally have from 3 to 4 areas where they Excel apart from having AcOA +AcOC.
Due to this reason os why I don't consider BB to be Emperor tier despite being an Emperor in political power. BB doesn't have advanced haki and excels just in DC and Hax.
Admirals aren't Emperor tier as well.
-Kizaru excels mainly in defense and speed. He has AcOA but lacks AcOC which is key. So overall just 2 stats he excels at and no AcPC
-Kuzan excels at physicals and hax. He has AcOA but no AcOC.
-Akainu excels at AP and stamina. He has AcOA but no AcOC.
On the other side, someone like Luffy has all 3 types of haki and excels at speed, durability, AP and Hax. He is Emperor tier and excels at 4 different stats.
In order for someone to be Emperor tier he must have AcOA +AcOC plus being able to Excel in 3 to 4 different categories. This is the reason why BB and the OG admirals aren't Emperor tier. Same thing applies to the Gorosei who Excel at like one thing

Understanding Understanding several key factors that will influence your Kentucky mortgage loan approval. Here’s what you need to review before applying for a mortgage loan in Kentucky.

Credit Score for Kentucky Mortgage Loan Approval

Your credit score is a major factor in determining the interest rates and loan terms you’ll receive and your loan approval. In Kentucky, a score of 620 or higher is generally considered favorable for conventional loans, but programs like FHA loans may accept scores as low as 580.

Kentucky Mortgage Loan Work History Requirements:

Lenders typically require a stable work history, usually two years or more in the same job or field, to ensure you have a reliable income stream to cover mortgage payments. Does not have to be same job but job gaps should be minimal and you can use college transcripts to supplement a 2 year work history with

Kentucky Mortgage guidelines for Income and Debt-to-Income Ratio: Balancing Your Budget

Your income level and debt-to-income (DTI) ratio are critical in assessing your ability to afford a home. A Debt to income ratio below 50% is ideal, as it indicates a healthy balance between debt and income. For example, if you make $4000 gross a month, then your new house payment plus your monthly payments on the credit report should not be more than $2000 total. There are two different ratios. Front end, which should be in the range of 30 to 40% of your gross monthly income, and a maximum of 50% for conventional loans and 55% or higher for VA and FHA loans, while USDA loans usually need a 33% front end max ratio and on the backend ratio no more than 45%__USDA loans are much tougher on debt to income ratios while FHA and VA are the most lenient.

Kentucky Mortgage Bankruptcy and Foreclosure: Understanding the Waiting Period

If you’ve experienced bankruptcy or foreclosure, there’s a mandatory waiting period before you can qualify for a mortgage. For FHA loans, this could be as little as 1-2 years post-bankruptcy and 3 years post-foreclosure1. See link for more info

Kentucky Mortgage Down Payments:

While traditional loans may require up to 3-5% down, Kentucky offers programs that allow for down payments as low as 0%. Additionally, down payment assistance programs can provide up to 5% of the sales price or 10k KHC down payment assistance to help cover these costs

Kentucky Mortgage Loan Limits:

Loan limits vary by county and loan type. In Kentucky, conforming loan limits for a single-family home can reach up to $647,200 for conventional loans, with higher limits for FHA and VA loans1.

Government-Backed Loans: Kentucky FHA, VA, USDA Rural Housing

These loans offer benefits like lower down payments, zero down with down payment assistance and more lenient credit requirements, 580 credit scores. The VA loan, for instance, may require no down payment at all for eligible veterans or active-duty service members1.

Kentucky Housing: Down payment Assistance and lower mortgage market rates with MRB Rates.

The Kentucky Housing Corporation (KHC) provides various programs, including the Conventional Preferred and Preferred Plus 80, down payment assistance and low mortgage revenue bond rates which offer competitive interest rates and down payment assistance for those who qualify

Nikkei 225 faces crucial technical test as USD/JPY correlations go AWOL. May 15, 2024
By : David Scutt, Market AnalystJapan’s Nikkei 225 faces key technical test on Wednesday
  • Japan’s Nikkei 225 faces key technical test on Wednesday
  • USD/JPY grinds higher despite yield differentials compressing, an unusual development
  • BOJ intervention risk may be determined by speed of FX moves, not underlying market drivers
  • US CPI creates major event risk on Wednesday

Nikkei faces important technical test

Japan’s Nikkei 225 faces an important technical test, pushing back to towards a resistance zone it’s been unable to break for weeks. With risk appetite rampant and softer yen helping to juice the earnings outlook for exporters, if Nikkei bulls can’t reclaim the ascendancy today, when will they ever?
As discussed in a note late last week, the Nikkei’s recent performance has been anything but convincing from a technical perspective, attempting to push back towards record highs struck earlier in the year without really going anywhere. Volumes are declining and upside momentum lacks the impressive thrust seen earlier in the year. Curiously, the strong positive correlations with USD/JPY and US 10-year bond yields evident over recent years have vanished.
As seen on the daily, another roadblock frustrating bulls has been downtrend resistance running from the record highs, constantly thwarting attempts at topside breaks since late March. One failure after the next has seen futures slide and hold below the 50-day moving average, along with horizontal resistance at 38900.
However, over the past week, dips below 38000 have been bought, seeing bulls reset for another attempt at a bullish breakout today.
https://preview.redd.it/umsnjh2roh0d1.png?width=1836&format=png&auto=webp&s=5fb9e8e60acffad1a3ece8eec619af93aefd48bc

Nikkei 225 trade setups

I don’t have a strong view on directional risks, other than the price action has been unconvincing. But if futures were to pierce and hold above the downtrend, that would change the picture considerably. So, I wait to see how the price action evolves before deciding on the appropriate course of action.
Should futures fail again at the downtrend, shorts could be initiated with a stop above the level for protection. As noted, bids below 38000 have limited losses to this point, making that an appropriate initial trade target. Below, 37750 and 37000 are the next support level after that.
If futures were to break and hold above the uptrend, traders may want to consider initiating longs with a stop-loss order below the level for protection. 38900-38950 would be the first trade target, a zone including horizontal support and 50-day moving average. Should that go, there’s not a lot of resistance beyond 40000 before we’re back at record highs.
In both ideas, if the price action were to move in your favour, consider pushing your stops to entry level, providing a free hit.

Nikkei 225 correlation with USD/JPY breaks down

In what should fundamentally be helping the Nikkei, the Japanese yen continues to weaken against a basket of major trading partners including the United States, seeing USD/JPY move back towards the multi-decade highs struck in late April.
However, the strong daily correlation that previously existed between Nikkei and USD/JPY has gone AWOL over the past month, with no meaningful relationship evident. Contrast that to earlier this year where the two variables ran with correlations of more than 0.9 over a rolling one-month period.

USD/JPY upside no longer driven by widening yield differentials

Nor has prior strong positive relationship between USD/JPY and US bond yields reasserted itself with yen selling off hard despite yield differentials between the US and Japan compressing to levels not seen since the start of April. Earlier in the year, narrowing differentials would have weighed on USD/JPY but that’s not the case right now.
https://preview.redd.it/i4z4p9i3ph0d1.png?width=1913&format=png&auto=webp&s=d1e874b80921daeac9c2dfe026c4116e599195a1
Source: Refinitiv

BOJ intervention risk determined by speed?

Following the suspected intervention episode (or episodes, although I’m not convinced about the second one) from the Bank of Japan on behalf of Japan’s Ministry of Finance, there has been no discernable escalation in concerns from policymakers about the renewed weakening in the yen.
The readthrough seems to suggest the government will only intervene to support the yen if the moves are deemed rapid, regardless of what’s happening with traditional underlying drivers. That opens the door for traders continue buying USD/JPY, building confidence the intervention threat will only become apparent if the move becomes disorderly.

US CPI to drive near-term directional risks

https://preview.redd.it/lnx5wu16qh0d1.png?width=1835&format=png&auto=webp&s=8ea753f7dbd2a014e6a5d37778e4997b26d6f509
You can see that mindset evident in the price action on the USD/JPY four hourly chart, gradually grinding higher after holding above key support at 152 last week. On the topside, resistance is likely to be encountered at 157 and 158, with a move beyond there opening the door to a retest of 160.22. Below, support is noted at 155.27, 154 and 152.
Even though the positive relationship between US bond yields has weakened recently, it’s highly likely Wednesday’s US consumer price inflation report will be highly influential on USD/JPY, with a hotter reading likely to promote further upside with an undershoot likely to do the opposite. As a reminder, the core inflation reading is likely to be more influential than the headline print. On that front, an increase of 0.3% is expected.

2024.05.15 03:09 Practical_Factor6569 [US-CA] Landlord frustrates maintenance requests with no-show appointments

I've lived in my building for 10+ years with no problem. The building was well maintained and tenants got along with the landlord––until he retired and turned everything over to his son. His son does a lot of unsavory things, but the most irritating is refusing to perform even minor maintenance on tenant units by first ignoring requests, then setting up repeated no-show appointments.
The landlord will quote 5-6 hour window, and the worker will invariably be a no-show. If you are assertive about the no-show, the landlord will simply ignore you. If you are polite, he will tell you that a worker will come the next day––and then proceed to stand you up again.
If the tenants are persistent enough, after 1-2 weeks, a worker will eventually show, but without any notice. If the tenant is not home when the worker shows, the landlord will refuse to fix the issue because the tenant was not able to let the worker in and "violated his responsibility" to allow access to make the repair.
Leaving keys for the worker isn't an option because the landlord hires the workers off Craigslist. He never sees the workers to give them a key. In any case, random workers unknown to anyone are not the kind of people you want in your house unsupervised.
The whole setup is designed to frustrate the tenants from even making maintenance requests in the first place. First by ignoring requests, then by forcing tenants to rearrange their schedules to be at home for workers that I doubt he's even scheduled to show up.
Of course, it's counterproductive: Multiple units in this once immaculately maintained building have had city orders to make repairs to meet code. But if the requests don't rise to the level of code violation, you're out of luck. And of course, it's a lot of stress to deal with the mind games.
I'm in Los Angeles, covered by the LARSO. California Civil Code Section 1954 regulates landlord entry into units, but as far as I know, there's nothing about no-show appointments. Any advice to stop the insanity?

2024.05.15 03:08 HetTheTable How do you guys approach Silph Co?

In a normal playthrough I would just take the shortest path. Get the key, fight blue, and then Giovanni, and maybe get items. But in my recent Nuzlocke that I’m doing I went through the whole building fighting trainers because I needed the levels. I’m glad I did because it made Blue and Giovanni a lot easier.

TORONTO, May 14, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Discovery Silver Corp. (TSX: DSV, OTCQX: DSVSF) (“Discovery” or the “Company”) today announced financial results for the three months ended March 31, 2024 (“Q1 2024”). The Company also provided a summary of key events since the beginning of 2024, including the release on February 20, 2024, of the feasibility study results (the “Feasibility Study” or “Study”) for Discovery’s 100%-owned Cordero silver project (“Cordero” or the “Project”) in Chihuahua State, Mexico. All figures are stated in Canadian dollars unless otherwise noted.
Tony Makuch, CEO, commented: “During Q1 2024, we achieved a major milestone with the release of the Feasibility Study for our Cordero Project. The Study results clearly establish Cordero as one of the world’s largest silver development projects both in terms of reserves and estimated production. The Project will average 37 million silver equivalent (“AgEq”) 1 ounces (“Moz”) annually over the first 12 years with low unit costs that will generate attractive economic returns. Very importantly, the Project will deliver substantial socio-economic benefits in Mexico in the form of job creation, skills training, direct investment, the purchasing of local goods and services and tax revenue, and will be developed and operated in a manner that achieves best practice in responsible mining. In addition, we will be bringing valuable technology and infrastructure as part of the Project that will provide important benefits in key areas like water treatment and purification. We will also be continuing our work to build Cordero’s presence in the community around Parral, and in Chihuahua State, through ongoing direct participation in, and support for, local initiatives, organizations and institutions.
“Another key feature of the Cordero project is the tremendous leverage it provides to the price of silver. The Project’s robust economic returns were estimated using a silver price of US$22 per ounce. To date in 2024, the price of silver has increased close to 20%, to over US$28 per ounce, fueled largely by favourable market fundaments with the silver market expected to be in deficit for the fourth consecutive year in 2024 reflecting record demand in key sectors like electric vehicles, solar and other forms of green energy. At current spot metal prices 2 , the Project’s after-tax net present value (“NPV5%”) increases by 70%, from US$1.2 billion to US$2.0 billion and reaches US$3.0 billion in Year 4 when the Project reaches final completion to 51,000 tonnes per day. This significant leverage does not include the potential benefit of growth in reserves that could occur at higher prices, with there being 240 million tonnes of Measured and Indicated Resource situated outside the Feasibility Study reserve pit that was estimated using a silver price of US$24 per ounce.
“Looking ahead, our work program in 2024 is aimed at further de-risking Cordero, continuing to advance permitting, acquiring or leasing additional surface access rights and making further progress with our community relations program as we work towards completing permitting and financing for the Project.”
HIGHLIGHTS FROM Q1 2024:
  • 2024 Work Program: Highlights of the 2024 work program were released in January 2024 and included plans to complete Front-End Engineering Design (“FEED”) work to permit the ordering of long lead-time items; additional permitting, including a target to submit the Change of Land Use (“Cambio de Uso de Suelo” or “CUS”) during the third quarter; engineering and permitting work related to power generation and transmission and water treatment; further progress acquiring or leasing land surface rights; and continuing to advance community relations work in support of the permitting process.
  • Feasibility Study: Results of the Feasibility Study for Cordero were released on February 20, 2024. The results position Cordero as a world-leading silver development project with large-scale, long-life, low-cost production that will generate attractive returns, deliver substantial benefits for Mexico and achieve best practice in responsible mining.
    • Large-scale, long-life, low-cost production : 19-year life-of-mine (“LOM”) with average annual production of 33 Moz AgEq LOM and average all-in sustaining costs 3 under US$13.50 per AgEq ounce.
    • Attractive returns: Two-stage development plan contributes to favourable economics, with a LOM NPV5% of US$1.2 billion at US$22 per ounce silver, which increases to US$2.2 billion in Year 4 when the Project reaches final completion.
    • Substantial benefits for Mexico: Total investment of US$1.4 billion (including a US$606 million initial investment), 2,500 direct jobs created during construction, peak employment of over 1,000 direct jobs during operation, an estimated US$4 billion of goods and services purchased and expected tax payments of approximately US$1.4 billion within Mexico.
    • Industry-leading environmental standards: Third-party reviews of proposed environmental practices completed to ensure compliance with industry-leading standards; US$130 million budgeted for site restoration and rehabilitation; significant investment included for infrastructure and technology to recycle wastewater with treated water to be the primary source of water for the Project.
  • Land access agreement reached: The Company finalized a land access agreement for the use of 600 hectares of land adjacent to the Project in March 2024, which will be used for the access road to the mine as well as for water storage. The agreement was reached with Ejido Cordero, a local land cooperative, and is part of the Company’s ongoing efforts to advance and de-risk the Cordero project.
  • Increase in silver prices: Spot silver prices have increased close to 20% year to date in 2024 (as of May 13, 2024) to US$28.39 per ounce. Higher silver prices largely reflected continued strong market fundamentals, with the Silver Institute 4 projecting a market deficit in 2024 of over 200 million ounces, the fourth consecutive year of market deficits and the second highest deficit in over 20 years. According to the Silver Institute, market deficits are being driven by record levels of industrial demand for silver, largely related to the use of silver in electric vehicles, solar panels and other forms of green energy, as well as the emerging use of silver in many artificial intelligence applications. Mine production of silver declined by 1% in 2023, with another slight reduction expected in 2024.

Qualified Person
Gernot Wober, P.Geo, VP Exploration, Discovery Silver Corp. and Pierre Rocque, P.Eng., an independent consultant to the Company, both “Qualified Persons” as such term is defined in NI 43-101, are the Company's designated Qualified Persons for this news release within the meaning of National Instrument 43-101 Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects (“NI 43-101”). Mr. Wober and Mr. Rocque have reviewed and validated that the information contained in this news release is accurate.
Technical Disclosure
  • The Feasibility Study project team was led by Ausenco Engineering Canada ULC (“Ausenco”), with support from AGP Mining Consultants Inc. (“AGP”), WSP USA Inc. (“WSP”) and RedDot3D Inc.
  • Mineral resources that are not mineral reserves do not have demonstrated economic viability.
  • A full technical report has been prepared in accordance with NI 43-101 and was filed on SEDAR on March 28, 2024.
  • AgEq produced is metal recovered in concentrate. AgEq payable is metal payable from concentrate. AgEq produced and AgEq payable are calculated as Ag + (Au x 72.7) + (Pb x 45.5) + (Zn x 54.6); these factors are based on metal prices of Ag - $22/oz, Au - $1,600/oz, Pb - $1.00/lb and Zn - $1.20/lb.
  • AISC is calculated as: [Operating costs (mining, processing and G&A) + Royalties + Concentrate Transportation + Treatment & Refining Charges + Concentrate Penalties + Sustaining Capital (excluding $37M of capex for the initial purchase of mining fleet in Year 1)] / Payable AgEq ounces.
NON-GAAP MEASURES:
The Company has included certain non-GAAP performance measures and ratios as detailed below. In the mining industry, these are common performance measures and ratios but may not be comparable to similar measures or ratios presented by other issuers and the non-GAAP measures and ratios do not have any standardized meaning. Accordingly, these measures and ratios are included to provide additional information and should not be considered in isolation or as a substitute for measures of performance prepared in accordance with IFRS Accounting Standards. Total cash costs per ounce, all-in sustaining costs, and free cash flow, are all forward-looking non-GAAP financial measures or ratios. As the Cordero Project is not in production, these prospective non-GAAP financial measures or ratios may not be reconciled to the nearest comparable measure under IFRS and there is no equivalent historical non-GAAP financial measure or ratio for these prospective non-GAAP financial measures or ratios. Each non-GAAP financial measure and ratio used herein is described in more detail below.
TOTAL CASH COSTS
The Company calculated total cash costs per ounce by dividing the sum of operating costs, royalty costs, production taxes, refining and shipping costs, net of by-product silver credits, by payable ounces. While there is no standardized meaning of the measure across the industry, the Company believes that this measure is useful to external users in assessing operating performance.
ALL-IN SUSTAINING COSTS
The Company has provided an all-in sustaining costs performance measure that reflects all the expenditures that are required to produce an ounce of silver from operations. While there is no standardized meaning of the measure across the industry, the Company’s definition conforms to the all-in sustaining cost definition as set out by the World Gold Council in its updated Guidance Note issued in 2018. The Company believes that this measure is useful to external users in assessing operating performance and the Company’s ability to generate free cash flow from current operations. Subsequent amendments to the guidance have not materially affected the figures presented.
FREE CASH FLOW
Free Cash Flow is a non-GAAP performance measure that is calculated as cash flows from operations net of cash flows invested in mineral property, plant, and equipment and exploration and evaluation assets. The Company believes that this measure is useful to the external users in assessing the Company’s ability to generate cash flows from its mineral projects.

2024.05.15 03:06 hizzeeone Will my prisoners use toilets during Work time if there are toilets inside their work area?

I wanted to add toilets to my restaurant, bakery and workshop but I don't know if prisoners will use toilets during Work hours.
The reason why I want to do this is because I initially give them an hour of free time in between work hours to relieve themselves or just rest and do whatever, but I noticed that when they take a break, workmen throw away the meals they cooked inside the restaurant. When they come back, they have to start all over again with the cooking.
Also, leaving just like that because it's Free Time and leaving the customers unsatisfied. So I went ahead and removed that 1 hour Free Time break. Now my problem is Bladder and Bowel levels going in the reds as the Work day ends. I don't want this to cause a problem down the line so I was wondering if they'd use toilets if they had them inside the room.
I'm hoping it works the same way as when they are on Eat time and you have toilets (and other amenities like the payphone) in the canteen that they will use should they need them.
I'm asking because it's gonna require a rework for my Bakery and Restaurant layout just to add a couple toilets and I'm not sure if it's worth the effort if it won't work anyway.

2024.05.15 03:06 Purple_Tuxedo The Epic of Clyde: The Nuh-Uh King [VERY LONG]

I wasn't entirely sure where to chronicle the wonderous tale of Clyde, because this spans multiple websites including reddit. Not enough drama localized here for it to be subredditdrama , and not enough on the Discord for it to be considered discordhorrorstories, and not enough TTRPG for rpghorrorstories.
Mods, feel free to direct me to the proper place if this isn't it. Anyway, on with the disaster.
Our tale begins on a subreddit in a semi-niche community of the RP side of Reddit, which I won't name because of Rule 9. It's a medieval-themed board where you can post memes if you want, but is mainly known for it's "encounter posts" and long, long chains of IC conversations between the regulars of the sub. I myself love the place, my Doctor Who OC (isn't relevant to the tale so I'll keep info on that brief) is one such regular, having decided to become that planet's Doctor stand-in. Long irrelevant story. Check my comment history, I'm all over that sub. Any references to that character are just to provide examples for how things work there.

Some background to understand the landscape:

Character creation is pretty lax there. One doesn't necessarily have to be a knight, (such as my character for example) but most people choose to be. It's gotten some controversies in the past concerning technology limitations to some extent, mainly asking folks to flavor things fantasy-style, such as my character being viewed as an eccentric artificer who lives in a box of miracles. A phrase I see commonly for when people ask questions about this is something like this:
"You can have an F-22 Raptor, but it cannot be an F-22 Raptor. Perhaps a Da-Vinci style flying machine propelled by magic to have comparable speed instead?"
Stuff like that. The community doesn't want to stifle creativity, but also don't want people to ruin the DnD-style universe with technology far outstripping the era (hence why my character must be secretive about his Tardis; Meta-perspective it's to avoid violating the tech rule more than it already does by nature). There's also a no-NSFW/ERP rule (unless its in DMs), which will come into play later.
Due to rulings like this, it has the obvious problem of how to settle things like duels, or how various people groups see each other IC. This caused a mutual agreement over on the discord to have the combatants agree on the terms of the duel beforehand, either in DMs or OOC somewhere. Stuff like, HP per character, highest D20 wins/best of 3, or first to Nat 20. Alternatively, self-hosted Encounter Posts can have their own rules, which must be outlined in the comment section by OP. Here's an example stat block from one such encounter:
https://preview.redd.it/xlo49rq4ih0d1.png?width=1122&format=png&auto=webp&s=dd7c9908af081c25953ebebcb1ed1a3a40c04eb6

Now, where does Clyde come into play?

Once upon a time, there was a user I'll call Clyde. Clyde is effectively the most anime character of all anime characters I've ever seen in my time in that community. To put it bluntly, he refuses to lose. I don't mean like he's very determined or super good at the combat, or a clever RP-er. I mean, his characters (of which the Tupperbox list on the Discord is FULL of, which will come up later), have miscellaneous excuses as to why they can literally never lose any engagement. Not one. Hence the nickname, "The Nuh-Uh King"
Here's a word for word excerpt from the Bio of one of his characters. Keep in mind, he's no troll. I've talked to him in VC before. This is completely, unironically, serious.
She was also born with several vampiric abilities yet none of the weaknesses.
I have plenty of more snippets just like this if not worse, including one that I couldn't relocate to post here that in summary said "can cast Wish as a Cantrip" (Clyde typically prefers to use DnD for organization of his very overpowered moveset.) or claiming to be level 50, despite DnD maxing at 20.
Note: Clyde insists on DnD-puritanism in his interactions, only to immediately violate his own rules.
By far the most cursed of his lineup is the Golden Half-Dragon. This character supposedly can predict the opponent's moves before they make them. Most Encounter Hosts try to make him roll for this, but he insists it's an innate ability that doesn't have to be rolled, and he has "+30 on every roll" (despite the Encounters not typically allowing modifiers) so he cannot fail anyway. Additionally, there is no Saving Throw for the opponent. Using the same justification, you cannot circumvent it. It's always a Critical hit, and he flaunts this totally fair ability to one-shot anyone and anything, including Lovecraftian Elder Gods (We have a Warlock or two who have dark pacts with Outer Beings)
Clyde seems to have no concept of fun for people other than himself. There's been several incidents of him joining other people's threads, of course one-shotting their instance of the Encounter and declaring himself the winner. People often just ignore him, but sometimes people will try to argue with him about it, and he gets very defensive and picks a fight with the person who won't just let him steamroll their combat. Not to mention, the hypocrisy can be smelled a MILE away.
Here's another lovely message in one such argument. TLDR-ed because there was a bunch of anime exposition that I'm not gonna make you read.
"I snap my fingers and the entire army falls dead, (TW: Violence) their heads severed from their bodies in a fraction of an instant with my blade."
The person protests about ruining the fun (Encounter involved liberating an occupied village by stealth or counter-raiding or assassination of the General, a boss. It was open ended, but they asked for creativity in the post. You were allowed to challenge the army, but you couldn't John Wick them, the Host asked that a Tactical victory be done through soldiers of the Commenter's own). They argued that it was overpowered to do that alone and not very fun to host. Posts a hypothetical of what if someone with the same unimaginably powerful level of a character was able to take down his character in one hit and received this as a response:
"If I ever meet a character that strong I won't consider them canon nor interact with them. My characters are too powerful and they can't lose so it wouldn't happen anyway."
Once more, this was without /s, this was without a hint of irony. I've seen trolls do something similar before, but no one has gone to a practically cartoonish level with it. Everyone is pretty tired of it, and he's been warned by the Mods of both the Subreddit and the Discord multiple times, which brings us to Part 3:

Clyde Joins the Discord

Oh, boy. THIS is a story. So the Discord has several separate sections, places where people can interact OOC and talk about games or other interests outside of Text RP. They also have threads for IC stuff if, say, your character wanted to rent a room at the local Tavern, or conduct business at the marketplace, or visit a shop run by someone else.
The moment he discovered that a Discord existed, the Tupperbox creation channel was absolutely flooded with his characters, and ALL of them are almost impressively overpowered in some form or fashion. I won't go into detail, but it's a long list.
Pretty quickly, a nasty habit of "ghost-pinging" or @ ing someone repeatedly and then deleting the messages developed. One of his warnings was due to this habit, and to his credit it happens less often now, but if you don't respond for more than a minute after he continues, the spam begins until you return. Now, I understand sending a reminder to be sure they remember the interaction/figure out if they're ghosting, but this is insane.
The other warning so far was his rampant violation of the No-ERP rule. I'm friends with one of the mods on the Discord, and they showed me a thread of him writing a lengthy scene between two of his Tuppers in the public channels, after being told he couldn't. I've seen a lot worse, but it wasn't pleasant to read over regardless.
This adventure is still ongoing, I'll be sure to post more Clyde Stories if you liked this one. Why he hasn't been banned from both yet, I have no idea, but it makes for amazing tales.
