I'd like to sell my Furin FRS - the reason for this is that I like it less than my Okiboard & I could use some extra cash. I've had it since November 2023 and it is in great condition. I ordered it with a white case (not visible in photo), a Brook Zero PCB, and the Roofle 1 layout - this means that if you want to replace this layout, you MUST replace both the left & right sides. Will also provide a higher quality, matching white USB cable (not pictured). SOCD is interchangable, it is currently set to Capcom rules. submitted by b3ngerman to Fightsticksforsale [link] [comments] Quick bit of detail on the stick: Dimensions12.5″ x 8″ x 1.5″ Weight3.58 lbs SwitchesHot swappable, currently with Cherry MX Silent Red It is truly modular as everything is replacable. I paid 400 Euros (customs/import + graphic design commission + the stick). The FRS3 just came out, but FRS2 layouts are available at a discounted price via the Furinarcade website. I am looking for €300 + EU-shipping & PayPal fees. I prefer to use PayPal GS. Please comment first, then DM. 2024.05.15 11:27 Howling-wolf-7198 What I know about Xinjiang/Uyghur
If officials claim nothing happened, means manything happened. If officials claim one or two people died, means a group of people have died. If officials claim thirty people died, means a village has disappeared.Uyghurs mainly reside in the southern Xinjiang region and are mainly poor farmers. Most areas in southern Xinjiang are mainly Uyghur, although Han immigrants have appeared in urban areas in the past two decades. Before the crackdown, a rural Uyghur may have never seen any native Chinese speakers in their lifetime. When I visited there last year, most adult Uyghurs can't speak Chinese at all, and most who speak fluent Chinese are businessperson. I visited there with the company of a local Uyghur friend(abbreviated as T). Most of the repression was lifted in 2021, and what I saw was a mild version:
Separatists and CCP went to war, and the people suffered.
Small mosques are demolished or sealed off. The landmark mosques has been preserved, but locals dare not enter because it poses a risk of getting them into trouble. Inside are mainly tourists. All Arabic slogans have been covered or replaced with Uyghur versions. Halal symbols are prohibited. Some tourists are Uyghurs from northern Xinjiang. They have greater freedom. Locals are not allowed to wear Ḥijāb or grow large beards. Uyghur ethnic clothing without religious significance is also taboo. The stores sell them, but only for tourists. All cutting tools on the street are restricted to fixed objects with iron chains. Economic decline. Not many locals consume. During the period of severe repression, people had no income. Even civil servants are owed wages by the government due to financial constraints. Before 2017, schools almost exclusively taught Uyghur language, and local teachers were also Uyghurs who did not speak Chinese. Now it's almost pure Chinese. T is worried about the hidden camera when speaking. All taxis have prominent cameras. All polices are Uyghur. T claims that after 2021, who is visible on the streets is not police, but just security guard disguised. The real police are either undercover or hiding. All signs are bilingual or in Chinese. Simple Uyghur language signs are prohibited. Ethnicity can be distinguished by appearance. When others notice that we are a mixed ethnic team, they will be surprised. The riots were mainly initiated by Uyghurs from rural areas in southern Xinjiang. This place has been subjected to the most severe repression.
In 2017, if you are an adult male and not in school or college, likely to enter a camp. This is about 80% of men. It almost came to an end after September 2019. Two thirds of them had returned. (The rest are mainly sentenced, with a few deaths) Pure torment. Later, the government was afraid of the West, and people gained meat in their diet and skill training. (about diet, I explain as the financial difficulties faced by the Xinjiang government. After the camps attracted international attention, they received more funding from the central government.)He described the welfare policy:
Government know they just need to persuade the househead. Women and children will obey him. Many excuses be used to get you into the camp. Sometimes it's intentional to provoke you, and when conflicts occur, they tell you that your viewpoint is flawed (needs to be modified). They will inquire and analyze from neighbors what you have done before and recently. If you lie, they will find out. TBH, Han cadres are most rational. The main ones bullying us are Uyghur cadres.
Submissive people were released after one or two years. Disobedient people were sentenced to prison. Who completely disobeys had died. There are an average of 400 families in the village. They would receive seven or eight corpses from the camp. Those sentenced families have had difficult times. Only women and two children in the family, difficult to survive. Women are easily bullied, children do not obey her, wander around and do not help her with work. The villagers did nothing wrong. My father is not interested in religion. When he returned from the camp, he spoke Chinese more fluently than me. Outsiders recruiting locals for terrorist attacks, then they fled, and locals were retaliated against. Many people here are uneducated. They are easily deceived by outsiders (to create a terrorist attack/riot). This is brainwashing to prevent them from being deceived by outsiders. I hate those outsiders. They have caused many families to break down, and give us Uyghurs a bad reputation. Islam is good, distorted by these people. I dislike the local extremist religion before. I was not even allowed to sing.
The government has established new villages. You only need to pay a small fee to move over. Most of the expenses are subsidized by the government. They have carried out infrastructure construction. Our living environment has improved a lot. But the economy has not been developed, and our income has not increased. If your family is considered trustworthy, you may be helped to start a business in mainland. If someone is sentenced, their family will receive financial assistance. He is a firsthand witness to the terrorist attack that occurred locally:
This has been reported as the death of thirty Hans. It's completely different. Terrorists intercepted the road and killed all Han trapped in the convoy. The Uyghur who resisted them were also killed. The actual number of deaths is over a thousand. I can't believe my childhood friends would kill people. The next day, the tank arrived at our village. All participants had been captured. The rest of us were frequently visited by cadres. Terrorists intercept convoys by chopping down trees. So the government forced the people to cut down the trees next to the road a few years ago.

2024.05.15 09:24 Sacrifice_a_lamb Ky Slime Review (good and bad) with Pics
I actually have been waiting to review a few shops, since I think it might be nice to live with the slime for a while instead of writing a review that's just based on what the slime was like when I first got it. But today I got an order from Ky and I've got things to say about it lol! submitted by Sacrifice_a_lamb to Slime [link] [comments] Rambling preamble (skip to review) First off, I had heard rumblings of discontent about this shop, but also had heard aspersions cast about Sonria and I found her slimes to be pretty good. So, I was open to Ky, especially since she clearly is a master at designing DIY slimes. Her IG is a go-to ASMR source for me and her posts make the slime look irresistible! Seriously, for all you stores out there--make your slimes look good on the internet. You'll have so many more buyers. While it's definitely obvious that the slimes that are played with on the IG are of larger quantities than what you will be getting when you order, her representation of the product otherwise looks pretty legit and she still has kind of a small, hand-made store vibe, which makes it easier to pay 16$ for a toy that may only last for a few months, right? She also has my dream slime--a neon space unicorns and rainbows sundae-themed slime tribute to Lisa Frank. This thing just looks so incredible. She really nailed the concept. So, I made a big order because, shipping. there was a 10% discount and the prices didn't seem terrible, even with shipping. I placed my order on the 4th and it arrived today, on the 14th, which ten days feels acceptable for a small business in Hawaii. They didn't go crazy on the packaging, which at first made me glad (I do not feel good about all the bubblewrap so many folks use!) but then I saw that one of the clay containers had gotten smashed and the clay pieces inside were totally flattened. Honestly, nothing else had any damage and the clay was always going to get smooshed, anyway, so I'm not bothered, BUT, I dunno. Use bunched up newspaper or something. It included a gift of two free "small" slimes. Really, they are like 3-4 ounces. Definitely a decent size for a sample and both slimes were pretty awesome, but I still have complaints... My rating system is pretty "strict"--I'm stingy about perfect scores, but anything with a score over 15/20 is something I'd consider buying again. Taro Milk Tea Cheesecake 10/20Someone else reviewed this recently and loved it. I do not. I had initially hesitated to buy this because I like taro, but sometimes find the smell of taro-flavored things like mass-produced ice-cream disgustingly sweet, and I worried that this slime might smell this way. It does not. To me, it smells like boiled white potatoes with an undertone of glue. Not great. The DIY kit came in a sealed bag and everything looked in good condition and matched the website photos perfectly. The boba balls slime, however, was so unactivated it was straight-up glue and I ended up having to SCRUB my hands in hot water to remove it. Even so, the assembly experience was fun and mixing was fun, as well. But the result is a mid slime. It is quite tough--so dense, but not terribly stretchy--and isn't much for bubble pops or other ASMR. The bobas are soft and squishy and that's cool. I'd like it better if it didn't smell weird, OR I'd be fine with smell if I liked the texture of the slime more. https://preview.redd.it/bfgiai0pjj0d1.jpg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9f7822d424279f48771d57aac399642c0aefcc8c Tangulu 14/20This came with giant, detailed charms and the giant fimos are beautiful and fun, but the clear slime was quite cloudy and yellow and for the price, that just seems like kind of a bummer. There's a fruity smell but the scent of the glue and maybe the add-ins overwhelms it. By itself, the smell isn't enough to deter me from playing with it. It is a stiff slime that tears easily, but it does stretch quite well if played with slowly. The slime is thick, so there isn't much noise from crunching, but it makes decent bubble pops.Mainly, I just think there are other folks out there making what is basically this same slime, but I suspect that their versions smell better and maybe the quality of the slime is a little better, too. https://preview.redd.it/rpcmvo5vij0d1.jpg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f0e5b01c3035436bfc92f52919cb9d181b3540b6 Slimereo Mug Cake 16/20Super fun concept that was realized as a wonderfully detailed DIY kit. The clay oreo was in perfect condition and so detailed! This was a lot of fun to set up and then mix. Initially the oreo smell was spot on, but since I've played with it a couple of times, the chocolate smell has weakened somewhat and, again, there's just a strong glue smell. The mixed slime is not bad. It is still pretty tough, but it doesn't rip when pulled fast and it gets pretty soft and fluffy with inflation. It's just still a little more dense than I prefer. It has a nice sizzle to it and even makes some pretty nice bubble pops with a bit of effort. It is moderately tacky, but not too bad and I certainly wouldn't add activator for fear of making it too tough. https://preview.redd.it/msdobiqgjj0d1.jpg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b3ac9a0430db226839bf4c4a233030fbacc9e631 Boba Creme Donut 15/20Another DIY kit that came in great shape. The clay donut was soft and everything assembled to make a beautiful, fun and interesting slime. Mixing was fun. The resulting slime is pretty close to that of slimereo Mug Cake, but instead of slakes of snow there are the tiniest mico-floam beads and some squishy bobas. I really like the way both feel and they seem to make this slime more pop-y than Slimereo. No sizzles, though. Bonus: this one doesn't smell bad! It smells like a caramel tea boba drink--lots of brown sugar and sweetened milk tea smells and then that sweet potato smell of boba.but it's still a tougher slime that doesn't make a ton of noise. https://preview.redd.it/le93bjv1jj0d1.jpg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2ddd6d6a6a35417a95a1e53f00977aa38a94bf93 Slime-Brite (jury's still out for me on this one)This seemed like Ky's answer to Slime OG's steel wool-themed slime and Ky's having it honestly kind of tipped the scales for me buying from Ky instead of OG. Again, the presentation is fabulous--fun charms, great concept that is rendered in a fun, visually-striking way, cool label. The smell is definitely a convincing imitation of, like, Dawn dishsoap, which I like. I also realize that I just really like bingsu in slimes so I'm into this one, but it is still very sticky (I'm too afraid to add activator lest it become tough like other slimes in this order) and it is much tougher than the bingsu slimes I have from Seoul Gage. It's not tough by what I think are American standards, I'm just not used to it. It still makes great, bingsu crackles and I love how it looks and smells. If it gets a little less sticky without turning more tough, I might really love this one.https://preview.redd.it/b1g7r4wkjj0d1.jpg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f4189637c261eb2feeda90a6693f53070f66ec6d Which brings me to my next purchase: My diet starts tomorrow 8/20Again, super fun concept and so much detail! Everything was similar to the IG photos and in good condition except the clay pieces were a little hard, but it was fun to assemble and the slime components all seemed totally good to go. The smell is fine. The problem was mixing this produced a hard, rubbery slime--no stretch. I guess it was overactivated? I was ready to throw it out, but I had glycerine on hand so added maybe a tablespoon and that helped it, but it is still very tough. It does crinkle and crackle with the bingsu, but my hands hurt after just a couple of minutes of playing with it. Super not worth it, even with the amazing DIY element.https://preview.redd.it/1bu63j11kj0d1.jpg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ffcc241bcb9766757516ba9ce82d8ff45e5d5a87 Sandy Beach 15/20This was the one that had the damaged clay pieces. Honestly, it didn't spoil the assembly experience. In fact, I pulled off the clear slime from the sand crust and first mixed the clay into that and what an awesome expeirence! I really love how it looks to mix colorful clay into a clear slime base. This has a moderate "beachy" smell that isn't bad. I think I just don't like sand in slime. I was expecting something like a pumice slime, but instead it just seems to kill any ASMR effect: no bubble pops, no clicks, no sizzles. The clay pieces were dried out in places so there's also some un-mixed goobers in the slime and the slime is also quite tough.https://preview.redd.it/hk9vgrztjj0d1.jpg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7d69e33a498878caf0ca80522fdece037b8e64c6 Birthday Cake Pop 18/20This one kind of saved the order (and maybe slime-bright) and it was totally one I almost didn't get it. It smells like how it looks--like a super bright, artificial birthday cake smell, which is actually pretty great. I love how it looks--such a loud, happy pink and love the sprinkles and the look of the different-sized floam balls. I'm not sure this is it, but I believe the floam balls being different sizes gives this slime extra bubble pops. This is a shiny slime that I expected to be tough, and it is--but somehow now I like that quality? Maybe it's because there's such a huge ASMR pay-off. Like, I' even getting some whistles when I stretch it.I'd give this guy a higher score but, again, I have perfect and near perfect (to me) slimes in my collection and this doesn't feel quite at the level. But it's also unlike any other slime I have and I suspect it will end up being a favorite. I whole-heartedly recommend this one! https://preview.redd.it/xtnmqgw6jj0d1.jpg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c7470eb86ee0c6076ba8cf8a8ccb505b23c192ce Free slimes were Lemon Loaf (with no clay piece, which maybe makes it better?) and Java Chip Frappe, also just the base. Again, these were large samples. I'm just grading them out of 10 because...I don't know? they were free and also they aren't, like, the version of the slimes you would be able to buy? Java Chip Frappe (Jury is still out)This is supposed to be a "jelly cream bingsu". It seems like a pretty thick, dense jelly with a tiny bit of bingsu. The bingsu are enough to produce some soft cracks and sizzles, so I really want to be abl to play with it, but it is way to sticky. It is already pretty thick, so I've only added a little activator so far, which hasn't helped much. Hoping this stops being so sticky without also turning into rubber. Smells is listed as chocolate chip cookie, but it smells more like khalua to me. At any rate, I like the smell.https://preview.redd.it/7rczrp66kj0d1.jpg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2499c9709c64d6c9cc690909f554890f3431a6ff Lemon Loaf 10/10This is my favorite slime of the whole darn order. It is a highly resistant bingsu slime, but it really softens with inflation. Smells like a cake with a lot of artificial lemon flavor added to it, which sounds bad but it actually quite delicious. It looks great: a bright and cheery yellow that is broken up by specks of iridescence from the bingsu. Also, I love the lemon fimos! But, the cherry on top is the micro-floams! I love these tiny micro-floams that she uses. It may be psychosomatic, but I think they actually change the bingsu texture somehow? At any rate, this is a great, stretchy, inflating, crackling, squeezeable bingsu slime and I love it.https://preview.redd.it/9sk0uoi9kj0d1.jpg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0b3a9bb64388eb724a5b854882522c3c0bcab6ac Conclusion:I really don't know what to make of this store, guys. I mean, I have only 3 clear "would buy agains" (one of which I didn't even pay for) out of a total of ten slimes, so, objectively, I should not buy from them again, but... I don't know. I definitely would not have spent all this money at this store if I'd seen some of the reviews I've seen since making the order. The complaints seem to be the same as my own: hard clay, tought slime, not great smells. On the other hand, the Birthday Cake Pops and the Lemon Loaf are so good that I might be persuaded to try Ky again. I guess, part of me wonders if the slime is this way because she's cutting corners on ingredients or doesn't know how to make slimes well? But then the amount of work and care that goes into designing the slime just makes me think there's no way this person doesn't know what they are doing, so then I guess this is the way the slime is meant to be (not for the Diet one, though--that was straight up bad slime) and it just isn't for me, but who is it for? who likes tough slime that doesn't make much noise? Would be curious to hear others' thoughts. |

I tried getting a photo for scale (zoomed out) and as close as I can to it for ID’ing. They are black with almost a red hue to their legs. They are everywhere in my house and they like to drop from the ceiling like paratroopers. I find anywhere from 5-8 a day, they’re so small I hardly notice them until I get closer. They just started appearing all over my house.. and sometimes they land in my hair. Just trying to figure out what they are, and what to do. submitted by rad-elderflower to spiders [link] [comments] |

2024.05.15 06:33 Freewhale98 87 Labor Struggle: The popularization of labor movement in South Korea
1.New opportunity for workers: The fall of military dictatorship and the rise of Sixth Republic submitted by Freewhale98 to SocialDemocracy [link] [comments] Until 1987, the labor movement in South Korea was in its infancy, as the brutal right-wing junta unleashed a campaign of terror on anyone who raised their voice about workers' rights. Labor unions were heavily under government control, and democratic unions were limited to female workers in the textile industry. However, the atmosphere changed with the June 1987 Uprising. Popular discontent was growing among the emerging middle class and college students as the military government refused to hold presidential elections through popular vote. Instead, the junta legitimized their government through an electoral college, denying the majority of the population a say in politics. In this atmosphere of discontent, Park Jong-cheol, a college student activist, was arrested and tortured to death by police, triggering a popular uprising against the military dictatorship. Fig 1. College students demanding justice for Park Jong-Cheol Fig 2. Iconic photo of June Uprising As popular protests demanding direct election of the presidency and a democratic constitution overwhelmed security forces, the military dictatorship was forced to compromise with the liberal opposition and adopt a new democratic constitution. This gave birth to a more democratic political system known as the 1987 system or Sixth Republic, under which South Korea still operates. This atmosphere of liberalization and democratization provided space for workers to organize. 2. Start of Uprising: Workers in Hyundai organize June democratization Uprising came to an end with Roh Tae-woo, the presidential candidate of the Junta, announcing the June 29 Declaration and promising a direct presidential election and constitutional reform. However, from July onwards, workers launched vigorous organized actions, demanding the establishment of democratic labor unions, wage increases, and improvements in working conditions. The July 8-9, 1987 labor struggle began at the Hyundai Group. On July 5, Hyundai Engine workers formed a union, and on July 16, tensions escalated as documents declaring the formation of a labor union by Hyundai Mipo Dockyard workers were confiscated. In response to workers' uprising, the chairman of Hyundai Chung Ju-young declared, "Until dirt gets into my eyes, unions will not be permitted." However, the workers responded, "Then we will put dirt in your eyes," and proceeded to form unions. Even the mighty Hyundai, one of Korea's largest conglomerates, could not resist the relentless tide of history. In late July, the democratic labor movement expanded to the whole of Yeongnam region, as major factories in the Masan-Changwon area joined the uprising. On August 17th and 18th, over 30,000 workers from the Ulsan Hyundai Group Labor Union (currently Hyundai Motor Union) staged a sit-in protest. Workers from six Hyundai Group affiliates staged a united demonstration while wielding heavy equipment. Faced with protesters wielding heavy equipment, the police abandoned firing tear gas altogether. As the protest ended that day without major bloodshed as police fled in terror, the impact was immeasurable. Fig 3. Workers gathering during 87 Labor Struggle 3. Workers in Daewoo rise up: death of Lee Seok Kyu The Daewoo Shipbuilding labor union, established on August 11th, began negotiations with the company. On the 22nd, during the negotiation process, the union representatives, frustrated by the company's insincerity and stalling tactics, revised their initial demands. They proposed a basic salary increase of 20,000 won, an increase in site allowances by 20,000 won, and the introduction of a 10,000 won family allowance. However, the company rejected this proposal. In anger, the workers attempted to enter the hotel, but were beaten and chased to the beach by the Baekgoldan, a special police unit. During their second attempt to enter the hotel, the police suggested that they would allow a peaceful march, but then suddenly fired tear gas at them. In the chaos, Lee Seok-gyu was hit directly in the right chest by a tear gas canister. He was transported to the hospital but passed away at around 3:30 PM. In the aftermath of his death, enraged colleagues sealed off the funeral parlor where his body lay, demanding, "We don't need money. Bring back Lee Seok-gyu!" Prominent figures such as Lee So-sun, mother of Jeon Tae-il, and lawyers Roh Moo-hyun and Lee Sang-soo arrived, forming a funeral preparation committee. Negotiations between the union and the company resulted in a compromise on various issues, including a wage increase, but workers demanded accountability for Lee's death and refused to compromise. Despite the union's decision to postpone the funeral until their demands were met, pressure from the government and the company intensified, leading to confrontations between the workers and authorities. On August 28th, amidst rain, the funeral procession finally proceeded to the Daewoo Shipbuilding Stadium, where over 20,000 people attended the funeral. However, upon reaching their destination, the procession was met with police brutality, resulting in arrests and the confiscation of Lee’s body by the authorities. Subsequently, a planned memorial event was forcibly cancelled, and the government cracked down on participants. 4. Government crackdown and the spread of uprising Following this raid on Lee Seok-gyu's funeral, the government began a massive crackdown. On September 4th, riot police were deployed to disperse workers protesting at Daewoo Motor and Hyundai Heavy Industries, resulting in large-scale arrests. From September onwards, labor protests in the manufacturing sector gradually subsided. The military junta launched a public relations campaign, accusing workers of being influenced by external forces and attempting to isolate them from wider democratization movement. Employers responded with measures such as temporary closures of workplaces. Despite these efforts, labor activism spread to small and non-manufacturing businesses in the Seoul metropolitan area and Gyeongin region, with strikes continuing in various sectors such as transportation, mining, office work, sales, and services. During the July-August-September labor struggles, workers primarily demanded an 8-hour workday, labor law reform, protection of labor rights, guaranteed freedom to form unions, abolition of blacklists, ensuring the right to survival, improving working conditions, and raising low wages. These demands highlight that the labor struggle was fundamentally an economic democratization movement. 5. Aftermath: Underrated uprising As a result of the labor struggle, by the end of December 1987, the number of labor unions had increased to 4,103 (from 2,675 in 1986), with 1,267,457 union members (up from 1,035,890 in 1986). Of the 3,749 labor disputes in 1987, 3,341 occurred during July-August-September. Above all, during this period, workers began to perceive labor unions as beneficial organizations for workers and started to understand the ideology and function of labor unions. They also began to explore effective ways to overcome conflicts and confrontations between labor and management. The 1987 labor struggle is considered the first large-scale expression of worker discontent, achieving outcomes such as the formation of democratic labor unions, democratization of non-regular workers' unions, and significant wage increases. This was, of course, one of the political effects of the June Uprising. Workers, who had been suppressed and oppressed by the strong repression of the junta government, began to actively assert their demands in a political environment where some degree of freedom was allowed. Subsequently, this movement for the establishment of labor unions led to the creation of the Korean Teachers and Education Workers Union in 1989, and the National Council of Trade Unions in 1990, setting up the scene for the series of major labor struggles and achievement in 1990s. Despite these achievements and contribution to the democratization of South Korea, 87 Labor Struggle tends to be underrated and considered merely an epilogue to 1987 democratization. This is because of class divide shown in regard to how it was perceived by the wider democratization movement. The liberal opposition led by Kim Young-sam, urged workers to exercise restraint rather than politically exploiting the situation. This left the resolution of the conflicts to the junta government. Additionally, the middle class distanced themselves from the tlabor struggles. They were concerned that heir achievements from the June Uprising might be undermined. They feared too much chaos could result in counter-coup by the right-wing junta as it had been in 1960-1961 Second Republic and 1980 Seoul spring. Moreover, the June 29 Declaration came during a period of economic boom characterized by low oil prices, low interest rates, and a low dollar value, which lessen the need for the rising middle class to pursue labor movement. As a result, the memory of 87 Labor Struggle was relegated to an auxiliary uprising of larger 1987 democratization, foreshadowing the marginalization of labor still prevalent in modern South Korea. |
2024.05.15 06:24 star_gazer35 How to take care of jade plants?
How to take care of succulents, specifically jade plant? I keep killing them and it doesn't make me feel good. I have had multiple succulents and all of them died. The first one in the photo - I got as a gift for mother's day and I badly want it to survive, if not thrive. The second plant is my recent victim. It died in a matter of 2 weeks. My succulents seem to either shrivel up or rot away. What do I do? submitted by star_gazer35 to plantclinic [link] [comments] I water them using a saucer full of water and let the plant take water for 15-20 mins. I do this every other week or if my moisture meter says the soil is dry (around 3 in its scale) they used to not get a lot of sunlight so for the last 2 plants I invested in a grow lamp. So now they are getting 4 hours of light from the lamp. |

She was sleeping when I approached her kennel, but jumped right up when she saw me. She’s not big. She’s pocket sized and her armadillo butt sways when she walks. She pulled pretty hard on the leash, but I think she was just desperate to get out of there. We couldn’t go outside since it was pouring, so we walked around inside. She sat on command, and I swear she smiled when she saw me pull out treats. She gave a few polite sniffs to her neighbor dogs in the ward, and was super sweet!
