Renovation recommends for a condo I’m looking to buy?
Shown are pics of the bathrooms and kitchen. First 2 pics: bathroom 1 Next 3 pics: Jack and Jill bathroom with a shower opposite the toilet (not shown) Last pic: kitchen
All photos are from different years that the place was listed. The kitchen looks slightly different now (navy blue lower cabinets and different light fixtures) but everything else is mostly the same. I’m trying to think of what could make the first shower look bigger and brighter. Then any additional recs for the bathroom and kitchen are appreciated:)

2024.05.14 16:57 fabbrunette Why doesn’t Jillian Harris follow Canadian Ad Standards and provide appropriate disclosures on her sponsored posts?

Why doesn’t Jillian Harris follow Canadian Ad Standards and provide appropriate disclosures on her sponsored posts?
It dumbfounds me that this boss babe cannot follow basic rules when it comes to advertisements and sponsored posts, especially when she has a whole fan-girl team that should be reviewing and helping her with the posting process.
Firstly, this promo package she received is NOT a PRESENT, it is PAYMENT:
  • Payment means any form of consideration, including financial compensation or other arrangements, such as provision of free products (see definition of Material Connection).
  • The disclosure guidelines apply to all exchanges of value between an advertiser—or a party working on behalf of an advertiser—and an influencer. This may include free products, monetary exchange, or other perks with the expectation— explicit or implied—that a promotion or inclusion of the advertiser’s products in a post occurs.
A post like this requires a DISCLOSURE and disclosures should be CLEAR, conspicuous and easy to understand:
  • Hashtags that have been recognized as clear and widely accepted include:

ad, #sponsored, #XYZ_Ambassador, #XYZ_Partner (where “XYZ” is the brand name)

  • Where the influencer receives payment other than financial compensation, such as free product or an exclusive invite, and the influencer talks about the product or the event, they should disclose the nature of the material connection in order to be transparent, such as #GiftedProduct.
There is no guarantee that consumers are LISTENING to the stories videos - many people keep them muted and read through or read the captions, which Miss Jillian Harris does quite often- except when it comes to this story - she doesn’t use captions, and the only text on the page is the brand and other partnered influencer. Where is the “gifted item” or “sponsored post” type?
  • There is no guarantee that viewers will read, hear or see a message unless it is presented prominently at the beginning of a piece.
  • Some mediums may require both visual and audio disclosures. Disclosures should be written, said, and/or displayed somewhere it can be easily read, heard, or seen. • For example, Facebook/Instagram videos often play without sound, so a visual disclosure would be needed within the video itself in addition to disclosure within the caption. For Instagram photo posts, inclusion in the caption should suffice.
  • Don’t: Simply “tag the brand” - Effective Disclosure Tips: • Some influencers only tag their sponsors, some tag brands with which they have no relationships, and some do a bit of both. Viewers cannot be sure that simply tagging a brand indicates material connection.
So why does this matter? In many other countries, these ad standards have become punishable under law. In Britain, influencers have to disclose disclose disclose or they receive complaints and will be fined if there are continuous complaints against them (such as not disclosing hotel stays). There is a ton of information online about all of this.
Why does this matter? Influencers with much less followers are bound by these guidelines - brands and agencies partner with “smaller” influencers and as part of their contract explain EXACTLY what needs to be written and disclosed - because it is not only on the influencer but also on the BRAND to ensure these standards are being followed.
So why can’t Jillian Harris, self-proclaimed story-teller and full-time influencer, do her job right? Does she truly believe she’s ABOVE basic standards, which are put in place to protect consumers from big brands and influencers?
Hey Jill! I know you read here - here is the Canadian ad standards done in a really easy-to-read manner for you and your team to study: https://adstandards.ca/wp-content/uploads/AdStandards-Influencer-Guidelines-EN-2023-FIN.pdf
I mean, you’ve only been doing this for, what, 12 or 14 years? About time someone showed you how it’s supposed to be done.
Also, way to hide the camel toe and cheeky bum with the brand names - but no disclosures!

2024.05.13 22:51 disusedyeti78 Almost Complete list of Baby registry boxes March/April 2024

If you're interested in baby registry boxes but don't know which one to try or how to even sign up for them I have some info for you here! I got boxes/bags from Target, Walmart, Amazon, Hey Milestone, Babylist, and Similac and I'm still waiting for a box from Enfamil. I'm not an influencer or someone paid by these companies I just really like surprise boxes of stuff. I have pictures but I don't know how to add them. Anyway onto the lists.
Target:
How to get: This appears to have changed recently. According to target.com you join the Target Circle rewards, create a baby registry, add 10 items, and spend $10 from registry (either yourself of someone else). You have to pick up the bag in store with a barcode they give to you and it can be somewhat difficult to get since supplies are limited. When I did this in March all I had to do was create a registry and then go to the store to pick up the bag.
Items:
1 Philips Avent Natural Bottle
1 Dr Browns Anti-Colic Bottle
3 pack sample of Huggies Special Delivery Diapers
2 pack sample of Millie Moon Diapers
16 count sample of Huggies Natural Care wipes
10 count sample of Honest plant based wipes
10 count sample of Water Wipes
2 count sample of Lansinho breastmilk storage bags
2 count sample of Lansinho disposable nursing pads
1 count sample if Boogie Wipes
1 sample of Dreft scent booster for laundry
1 sample of Palmers stretch mark lotion
1 sample of Dapple bottle and dish soap
1 sample of Pedialyte
1 sample of Auqaphor baby ointment
1 sample bottle of Aveno baby wash and shampoo
1 sample tube of Triple Paste diaper rash cream
All coupons are through Target Circle rewards
Walmart:
How to Get: Sign up for a registry at Walmart. Click this link https://walmart.cesampling.com/babybox/soldout and fill out the form and it would be shipped to you for free. Unfortunately these boxes have been sold out since last year but maybe they will restock. I only got one because my OB’s office gave it to me at my first appointment. You’re not missing much by not getting one.
Items:
1 Dr Browns Anti-Colic Bottle

1 sample bottle of Aveno baby wash and shampoo
1 pack of milestone month cards
Insert cards (not coupons) for Gerber, WaterWipes, Liquid IV, Aquaphor, and Arm & Hammer
Amazon:
How to Get: Have an Amazon prime account. Create a baby registry. Add 10 items to your baby registry. Purchase $10 worth of items from registry (either yourself or someone else). Wait for the items to ship and then add the baby welcome box to your shopping cart. There should be a $35 coupon applied when you go to checkout.

Enfamil:
How to get:
Sign up for Enfamil Beginnings at https://www.enfamil.com/baby-formula-coupons-samples/ . It’s completely free. I do recommend using an email you rarely use and don’t put in your phone number. I’m still waiting on my Wonder Box to come. They tend to ship close to your due date so I may get it soon.
Overall thoughts: I enjoyed the fun of going through the boxes to see what I got. The Walmart one is no great loss to anyone not able to get one. I was disappointed with the Amazon one because I expected it to be a bit better based on what others had gotten. Plus I didn’t get the Dude Wipes people were getting and I was looking forward to them lol. The Babylist box was the best of the bunch, which is good considering the hoops you have to jump through to get it. Hey Milestone was great for the butt paste and bottle alone. I was also really pleased with the Target bag. These are just the things I got and each box/bag may be different.

She does have a Facebook account, so it’s not that she wouldn’t see it. I wonder if she doesn’t get along with Jill or something. Even when they went to Mississippi for Xmas, there were no pictures.

Bethenny unfollowed Jill Zarin
Im not sure if it happened because of this comment that Jill made under Brynn’s photo on instagram, but currently Bethenny doesnt follow Jill on Instagram anymore. Jill still follows Bethenny, but I wouldnt be surprised if the friendship was over again. It makes me sad because I was happy they reunited last year.

2024.05.11 01:11 TonySchiavone1 Why I snark

This popped up on my app for some reason and I thought it deserved to be reshared. It was originally posted by u/ daydreamingawaytoo over two years ago but is still very applicable.
www.reddit.com/fundiesnarkiesnark/s/Y8rhtetsoW
Why I Snark
People ask me why I snark. Let me tell you, it’s not for the faint of heart. It takes a special kind of soul, someone with real grit and a fluency in sarcasm, interpreting body language, and sleuthing skills. My kids will say, “Mom, I’m hungry, can you please stop making Duggar FaceSwap edits?” My husband will sometimes tell me, “Oh my god, I don’t know any of these people, CAN WE TALK ABOUT LITERALLY ANYTHING ELSE” when I tell him all about Jill Rodrigues overstaying her welcome at Nurie’s. And oh, I’ve seen some eyerolls when I suggested our family take the trek up to Arkansas so we can drive past the Duggar house (for research purposes, of course) so I can snap a picture of the TTH. Maybe they would even see our coexist bumper sticker and reevaluate their ways!
But nevertheless, through all of the judgement and small-mindedness, I persist. Why? Because someone has to do it. Someone has to wake the public up to the absolute HORROR SHOW that are fundies. What I do, I do for the good of the world. When Joy Duggar posts a photo of her son playing barefoot in the backyard, I get a frozen chill in my chest that radiates through my entire body. What if he stepped on a pine cone? What if he accidentally ate dirt? What if the earth swallowed him up whole? If I’m not reminding these brain dead idiots that they are terrible parents, who will? I have the authority. My kids, Soleil, Jude Bader-Ginsburg, and Organica have never tasted cream, sugar, dairy, or gluten. They have never played outside. They don’t even know what a “hairbow” is. I’m not looking for praise, I’m just saying I could easily do the mommy influencer thing if I wanted. Instead, I actually choose to spend my time working and fighting for a cause. It’s called morals, something fundies lack.
It’s almost a full time job reminding these fundie women that they are not as hot as they think they are. Women are not defined by their looks. But let me just say, as a 47 year woman who is naturally thin with no wrinkles and who often gets mistaken for a 19 year old, I know a thing or to about style and looks. Because I don’t agree with their beliefs, they are fair game and not protected by feminism. It’s just the rules. And as a #girlboss, this extends to children too. Whatever it takes to wake these people up. If Feliciteeeeeeee wants me to stop calling her names, maybe she should GET EMANCIPATED and write a dissertation on why LGBT rights are human rights. My son was quoting Gloria Steinem at 8 months old, there are no excuses.
Snarking for the greater good isn’t just about the hilarious witty and clever nicknames, or obsessively following Instagram pages. It’s also a community. It’s a place where a bunch of likeminded souls can spend hours analyzing a smile, using our gifts as empaths to get to the real feelings behind what less evolved people would see as a “normal family picture”. Its the primal rage we all feel when we see someone smiling with their mouth open. It’s going to the grocery store, seeing a jar of pickles, and quickly snapping a pic with a chuckle because you know your fellow snarkers will have a laugh. Its the mutual horror we all feel whenever someone eats a cream based soup. It’s sending Karissa $100 so she knows her baby names are fucking stupid. Sometimes I sit back and think, “This is what it must have felt like at Stonewall”
I’m not an Avenger. I’m certainly not a saint. I don’t wear a cape, but I do wear my heart on my sleeve. Im a proud atheist, liberal, feminist, purple haired “devils grass” smoking “heathen.” My very existence is political. The fundies would hate me and run away screaming when they see me, a WOMAN, showing knees and shoulders, unshaven legs, tattoos, purple hair, and piercings. What about my shirt, that says “Well Behaved Women Rarely Make History?” Yeah, Boob would probably faint on the spot.
I’m a snarker, which means I wear many hats: expert on fundamentalism and religion, psychiatrist, social worker, medical doctor, body language expert, lawyer, judge, jury, parenting expert, stylist, interior decorator, nutritionist, expert chef, private investigator, activist....and warrior.

HAITI American Airlines, JetBlue Airways once more delay resumption of daily service into Haiti BY JACQUELINE CHARLES

Flying in and out of Port-au-Prince on a major U.S. carrier will once more have to wait.
American Airlines and JetBlue Airways are again delaying the resumption of their daily service from the United States into Toussaint Louverture International Airport in Haiti’s gang-ridden capital. Now, one carrier is looking at the end of the month, the other after June. Both return dates would have U.S. flights out of Miami and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood return to the country after the arrival of the first deployment of Kenyan police as part of a multinational force to help Haiti cops battle gangs.
“The safety and security of our customers and crew members is our top priority. As a result of the recent civil unrest in Haiti, we have canceled operations through Tuesday, June 4,” JetBlue spokesman Derek Dombrowski said. “We continue to monitor the situation and are working closely with the U.S. embassy and our team in Haiti to determine next steps.”
U.S. officials involved in the deployment of the multinational security mission have declined to provide a specific date for the police officers’ arrival —or say how large the initial group will be, citing security concerns. Preparations, however, are under way to have the first foreign cops arrive in Port-au-Prince to help Haiti’s security forces.
the arrival of the first contingent of Kenyan police officers — the backbone of the Multinational Security Support mission — is scheduled to coincide with the May 23 state visit to Washington by Kenya President William Ruto and his wife, Rachel Ruto. The couple is being hosted by President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden.
United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres, who is in Nairobi attending the U.N. Civil Society Conference, saluted Kenya’s leadership on Haiti, telling Ruto the help “is so desperately needed.”
“I am particularly grateful to Kenya for agreeing to lead international efforts to quell the violence in Haiti,” he later said at the opening of a press conference.
This week some of the people involved in the deployment, including a security official from Jamaica, which is in charge of the Caribbean contingent, attended discussions in Washington, D.C. about the first phase. Meanwhile, the Doral-based U.S. Southern Command has been coordinating U.S. military flights into Haiti. As many as three flights a day have been arriving in Port-au-Prince with supplies, equipment and civilian personnel to help build a base for the foreign forces.
The Biden administration has pledged $300 million toward the security effort, though officials continue to face money constraints. Republican lawmakers in Congress, who have raised questions about the mission, are blocking $40 million of the $100 million the State Department has pledged. The other $200 million is from the Defense Department and includes in-kind support for the operations.
In an opinion column in the Miami Herald this week,James B. Foley, a former U.S. ambassador to Haiti, sounded the alarm over the blocking of the money, noting that while he respects the right of Congress to demand accountability, “the fact is that situations of this kind are fluid and every detail cannot be spelled out in advance.
“This operation is critical to multiple U.S. national security interests and it needs to get off the ground before it is too late. Moreover, other donors potentially willing to help underwrite the mission are sitting on the fence, waiting to see if the U.S. is serious or not. That is indeed the critical unanswered question, the key to which lies in Republican hands.”
Neither Dombrowski of JetBlue nor American Airlines spokeswoman Laura Masvidal cited the ongoing plans to deploy troops as the reason for their company’s delay in return to Haiti. However, the new schedule for both airlines will have services return after the Kenyan cops arrive.
Masvidal says flights from Miami International Airport into Toussaint Louverture International Airport in Port-au-Prince are now scheduled to start on May 30th. They were previously supposed to start on May 16 after being pushed back from May 9.
Earlier this week, Dania Beach-based Spirit Airlines, which announced a resumption of flights for Friday, May 10, from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International into Cap-Haïtien, said its Port-au-Prince flights remain suspended until further notice. JetBlue, which connects Port-au-Prince to both John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York and and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood, previously announced It would resume its services on May 15.
“For the latest fee waivers and to check flight status, customers should go to jetblue.com. If customers want to change destinations, they can cancel and use the fare for other flights,” Dombrowski said.
Haiti’s main international airport, domestic airport and government seaport have been shut down for the past two months after armed gangs launched a broad assault against the government and key infrastructure. At least three planes leased by the country’s national carrier, Sunrise Airways, were struck by bullets during one of the attacks, forcing the suspension of in-country flights in and out of Port-au-Prince.
The ongoing closure of the facilities have been costly for Haiti, which has one of the highest government taxes on airline tickets in the region and charges $10 for every passenger without a Haitian passport or proof they were born in the country.
In hopes of resuming flights, the government has demolished hundreds of homes around the airport to remove gangs’ ability to use rooftops to fire at planes.
The govermment has also built several security towers around the airport and continues to have police officers and members of the army patrol both inside and out to prevent any security breaches.

Price to Acquire the 1.06 - 10 Team, 2QB, Start 8
Price to Acquire the 1.06 - 10 Team, 2QB, Start 8
The 1.06 owner is also the current league champion, he has no glaring roster needs.
I have the 1.01,1.04 & other picks (Roster Photo Attached).
Im fairly confident that Nabers will be there at 1.04, I also have talked to the owner of 1.05 who is dead set on QB.
Im a massive Washington Huskies fan, and would love to be greedy and get Odunze to pair with Caleb for the future.
What price should I be having to pay to acquire the 1.06, my preference would be to trade future picks.
Cheers Team

2024.05.04 23:32 Chance-Glove1589 Where to start?

Where to start?
Where to start?
I have two full bathrooms that need work. One (Bathroom 1) I would like to turn into a walk-in shower and replace the tile surround - and it needs new floors - but the vanity, cabinets and sink are all okay. The other one (Bathroom 2) I want to replace the tub and the tile surround, but the floor is okay. It needs a new toilet and countertop but the cabinets are okay. This is a two part bathroom (toilet and vanity in one area separated by a door to the shower - not quite a Jack and Jill bathroom because it only has one vanity/toilet).
Do I just go to Home Depot or Lowe’s and start pricing a shower pan or a bathtub and tile and go from there? We will hire a plumber and probably tile person. But I just don’t know where is the logical place to start. We are doing big remodels of other areas but I don’t want to pay lots of money or markups on these two bathrooms as it is mainly cosmetic (the layouts are fine so I don’t need design help).
Where do you start?
Bathroom 1 has the red and blue striped shower curtain - this is the one I want to turn into a walk-in shower but the floors will be replaced too.
Bathroom 2 has the brown/tan marble vanity (to change) and tan walls but I want to replace the tub and change the tile surround but the floor is good (toilet needs replacing too).
(I made a post about this yesterday but I didn’t think to include pictures and couldn’t figure out how to edit the post to add pictures - thank you to those who suggested adding photos though!)

2024.05.03 23:40 daffodil0127 Mahmo has been reading about herself again.

Mahmo has been reading about herself again.
She doesn’t like what she’s read. “I don’t need your approval, liberal scum! If you’re not doing Jesus like I do Jesus then you’re going to hell!!”

Another series of Add-a-Rodlet, this time showing musical instruments and purple clothes.
Of course Mahmo has to insert herself into the last one.

2024.05.03 18:16 LovecraftianElderGod Killers before trials

It's been said that killers all live in the void before trials. But i think that's a bit dull.
My hc is that killers all have somewhere to be before being called upon trials.

2024.05.03 04:09 Mountain-Opposite-96 I lost two friends, maybe three, in a week.

Warning, mentions a weapon, and high school drama. TLDR: Ex friend lies, another ex friend believes the lies, and third friend goes with the majority.
(All parties involved are around the same age, 17) I had a best friend, let’s call her Vicky, who changes personalities every time she got a boyfriend. We had been friends since the beginning of middle school, and now we’re about to be seniors next school year. She currently has a boyfriend, who is one of the most problematic guys she could date. I met him over the phone, he seemed like a cool guy, met him in real life and shit hit the fan. Not even five minutes in, and he’s making sex jokes about Vicky, he does this in a group chat I was a part of.
Now, important information, I have one of the most basic boundaries, don’t point weapon or weapon like things at me. He, and Vicky’s brother (who is old enough to know better), aimed a loaded weapon, that they consider a ‘toy, at me. I watched the boyfriend load it, and the brother aimed it square at my chest. I told him to not do that and the boyfriend was like ‘it’s a toy', I still wasn’t having it. I let it go, stupidly so. I told my parent/guardian, and I stayed away ever since.
Over a month ago, I found that she and her mother blocked me and my parent. I take being blocked as a ‘I don’t want to be friends’. She didn’t block me everywhere, I didn’t block her everywhere either. Over the weekend I blocked her Instagram and unfriended her on Snapchat. She blocked me on Snapchat for unfriending her. We’ve been ignoring each other since in real life. Today, I received a hateful text from a, now ex mutual friend, let’s call her Jill. She texted me saying I should’ve talked to Vicky instead of blocking her, I corrected her and explained the situation, and she said Vicky and her mother ‘had' to block me and my parent because we were stalking their Facebooks. We never did, I’m barely on it and I use my account to keep in contact with my family and looking up my school's activities, my parent uses theirs to read the news(actually news sites for our area) and to see my older cousins photos, long story my cousin can’t handle her posts not having some kind of attention, so my parent likes her posts to avoid drama. Jill called me a lair when I explained why I quit talking with Vicky, which is above, demanded I talk to Vicky, called me rude, childish/immature while comparing me to her younger siblings, Saying I was being ridiculous and what happened isn’t that big of a deal, and claimed they we’re showing it to me, which they weren’t.
Apparently, the weapon was never loaded, nor pointed at me, and I’m a lair whose making things up. I wish I was. Then, get this, Jill lied to me while doing all this. Context, I was in class with two other friends, let’s them Buddy and Annie. I was uncomfortable throughout the conversation, and had shown Buddy and Annie the texts. Jill claimed she just met Buddy and that Buddy told her that I told them everything and I lied about what happened to Buddy. I showed Buddy that message later on and she confirmed she never talked to Jill. I have since blocked Jill, and I have s copy of the conversation. Annie is kinda just going with the majority, from what I see, and that majority is against me. I haven’t lied, my only crime here is not liking the boyfriend.
