I hope some of you get to read some of this, before it might get deleted. It can help you understand things.
I want to freshen the air a bit and hopefully untie some knots ppl are hung up on. I will not mince my words and feel like I need to vent a bit. I might answer questions as good as my autodidact ass can answer. Since I haven't read much leftist theory. I've only read The State and Revolution by Lenin, once. It's better to ask infinitely more knowledgeable ppl within the leftist movement.
So let's get to the "drama":
I'm superior to Destiny when it comes to being an autodidact. I'm morally, historically, rhetorically and logically superior due to the fact of, luck. The luck is that I was born in a Nordic country, so when I had my moral failings, society helped me through it, it gave me time to really analyze myself and society. One thing he has over me definitely is debate.
Anways, at every step of the way when met with an obstacle of moral nature, I stopped and self corrected. Meanwhile Destiny never truly internalized his failures to learn from it, he's such a stubborn and morally bankrupt asshole and deserve to be in the same trash heap of history (forgotten) as capitalism, the peak of immorality.
Capitalism's current torchbearer, the US, is history's most evil country. Just because it doesn't have as many internal governmental problems as other dogshit countries, doesn't give it a pass on things like exporting death and destruction. In total suffering and deaths, nothing compares to global neoliberal capitalism, how many ppl die again every year, due to starvation? That alone, kills so many.
So I don't hate the asshole as an individual, but I do despise the person he's become and his rotten ideas which he spreads to some of you little gremlins in here.
Maybe you'll understand my thought process more from this other angle. Let's think of the 2 big quotients of human intelligence. He might have a high IQ but it's balanced out by his EQ or EI being 100s of points in the negatives. This is what happens when you don't self correct bad behavior. This is not a balanced person and other sane ppl in the real world can see it clearly, can you?
His lack of understanding of concepts on a macro scale, again due to American education, is embarrassing. He keeps saying one has to debate him in which socioeconomic system is better and that's what everyone wants according to him. But Hasan doesn't have to and that fact makes him so mad. Doesn't Destiny understand there's 3 different types of rhetoric? Has he read any fucking thing, like Aristotle? There's logos, pathos and ethos, not everyone "debates" all the time, he just hates that hasan doesn't use "logos" a lot. Logic doesn't mean truth. Also the general population vibes with "aesthetics", and that's more of Hasan's angle because it's the fucking zeitgeist. That's why he's able to convince ppl.
Let's go through some of the other recent "drama" he's had with hasan

1. Crackergate: I will dismantle it with one sentence. The etymology of both words have no equal and someone that has basic understanding of history would know this.
2. Genocide: He doesn't understand the basic concept that morality trumps over law but with the caveat that it depends on what society or part of it thinks, after filtering through someone's moral arguments. If your morality is sound, people will listen. And if such a person's morality extends beyond current law on a subject, it will be deliberated faster among a part of civil population, it will take more time on a judicial level, understandably. Franscesca Albanese is one such a person and we feel it is sound, you have to prove it isn't. Saying there's no genocidal intent doesn't disprove anything, especially when there's several instances of it. Calling them animals, cutting off their supplies, threatening a second Nakba etc is proof on our side, which ppl like Destiny deny is intent ofc. Imagine being negatively polarized by a dumb influencer like Hasan, into defending genocide? That's just sad. So that he can't see why it's a genocide is a moral failing. I wouldn't call him sociopath but maybe "sociopath-lite"

Personally what lit a fire in me recently, and negatively polarized me further away from the right and towards the left, to a degree never before, was when all the ziofascists and other right wingers really loved to run the propaganda that Hamas is wrong with the numbers. Just because the UN decided to separate numbers between identified and unidentified bodies. How the fuck do you identity someone when there's only a foot left? Is it so hard to imagine why they couldn't be identified. It was instantly "Hamas lied" and it showed their bias. If one knows the history of the Hamas run health ministry. Things like UN finding out it's often an undercount due to how fragile their institutions are. Now that everything is bombed it's even harder to count, you know? Now I don't believe Ralph Nader's numbers, but he has been open about saying that up to 200k ppl could've been killed so far.
So stop being edgy, grow up and join the broader leftist movement in fighting against war hawks and the like. Everyone deserves a good life (even destiny) and nobody should die in unneccesary wars or conflicts. Btw Americans, not to fearmonger but doesn't it honestly feel like your country is on the brink of something, maybe either collapse or a fucking civil war, I'd hate to see workers fight amongst eachother.
Make it easy for yourselves. You belong in the majority, your fucked up leaders are the minority. Take down ppl like Matthew Miller, that Dracula looking ass state department spokesperson, from his position. He defends murdering families and gets paid for it. Meanwhile he smirks with that shit eating grin, while you work your ass off day in and day out, not knowing what to do, to change things.
Find the nearest group that dabbles in leftism, Parliamentarism is over, whether you like either trump or biden.. neither of them really cares about you. They only care about profit. You will at some point want to defend something and their police state will be ready to crack down on you.
Sidenotes: I want to cover the topic of white supremacy from another angle, hopefully it makes you think on it a bit.
So I've heard this be brought up enough, so I thought it's good to cover it.
The argument of [insert other ethnic group other than "whites"] using slavery over other groups is such stupid systemic analysis. There's enough time gap that there's no logic to it, especially if one tries to monolithically make a connection between a certain race, across history. The bigger the time gap the less logical sense it makes. There's a reason why we speak so much about white supremacy, the time gap is short and it's still in effect.
This can also be translated to Israel's modern founding. There's enough time gap that they have no justifiable claim on that land. 1000s of years ago? So? They should suck it up, it's also what their holy book say. Or they could retry without the colonialism part. Do you think sane ppl will wait x amount of time for the genocidal ziofascists to be able to make the same claim over the land? Like bro, come on..
TLDR: Don't abandon leftism. If you don't really care, the least you can do is read some stuff. I for example have only read Lenin's "State and revolution", it can help some. Read it so you can ask leftist theory nerds about context and why you don't like some parts.
I also have to say it's not the leftists that are radical, sure some of them are directionless and lash out in a bad way, but I probably can't change your mind on that. But have you ever thought that maybe, just maybe, capitalism is radical? It's radically committing a genocide rn. Radically starving ppl worldwide. Radically only focused on profit, fuck the people that create that profit, right? How does this make sense? It's not radical to want to undo that.

I just upgraded to fiber Internet and think it time to upgrade my network. Quick notes about what I currently have:
I rent a split level which is not that big and I'm trying to get the best speeds I can from the upstairs office to the downstairs livingroom. Because I rent I am not running hard line period, I'm not in college anymore so I'm not dealing with cables running across the floor. I have 1Gb up and down with the option of 10Gb, and have a Nighthawk with WiFi 5. My current coverage is really good, but I am only able to get about 500Mb (650Mb max) wireless vs. 950 Mb (1.3Gb max) wired (the horror!).
Because my WiFi coverage is good throughout the apartment, I don't think a two node mesh is worth it. But, I imagine a couple of wireless routers with my primary access point in the office, and the bridge in the other room connecting my TV, PS5, etc. would work better.
The question I have is what option would work the best for a bridge network? I have a few options in mind, but would like some opinions on what might be best, or an option that I haven't thought of yet (again, No hard line).
First option: get two WiFi 7 routers and do what I've mentioned above. The problem with this is I can't seem to find any proper documentation on bridging. My older Nighthawk has the bridge option in the setup, work has a WiFi 6 Nighthawk and it doesn't offer bridging (as far as I can tell). I'm willing to spend $500'ish on a mesh pair, but only if I can set it up as an AP and a bridge. I'm not willing to spend $800'ish per Asus router that might be able to do what I'm looking for. Are there WiFi 7 routers that offer AP and Bridge capabilities?
Second option: DIY. Build my own computer with two 10Gb ports, install and learn OPNSense, MikroTik four port 10Gb switch, WiFi 7 AP, WiFi 7 bridge, another switch. While I'm against spending more than about $500 for option 1, this is a project and I'm willing to spend more for a fun project. I have seen WiFi 7 AP that are reasonably priced, but does bridging work with two of these? Is there a specific unit that I should get for the bridge side?
Third option: a simplification of 2. Keep the WiFi 5 Nighthawk for routing and maybe as an AP for non entertainment devices (phone, tablet, etc.), add a WiFi 7 AP and Bridge and switch. Again, what are some good devices that offer bridge capabilities in WiFi 7?
Fourth option: (insert History Channel Alien Guy picture) Microwaves. Honestly, this is basically the same as option 3, but with two microwave units. I am a fan of Cambium, but how will two high power, 150 mile range, units work blasting through 30' and a couple of walls? Turn the power way down and hope it's not ionizing?
Fifth option: just say the heck with WiFi 7 and go with WiFi 6e. I doubt that I'll go with 10Gb service, but will 6e get me enough throughput to take full advantage of my 950Mb service?
Some opinions would be nice from the community. Either about my ridiculous options above, or something I haven't thought of. Also, I don't like Ubiquity. I don't care if the community does. I would rather run a hard line, and as I already said that is not an option. Also, I typed this out on my phone and I'm not going to proofread it. I hope my ramblings make sense.

This yet-unnamed conlang is a sort of "con-dialect". Based on Old Spanish, it is spoken by a group recently discovered Latin American tribe of seemingly indigenous people, who were taken over by a group of conquistadors on a lost expedition; they married into the native elite and formed a new Spanish speaking upper class, out of touch with the Spanish crown, though to this day they still proclaim their loyalty to the Spanish Crown, and their leader calls himself the Bisorrei, [bisoʁej] (Refered to by the Spanish speakers as the "Bisoguey"), originally derived from the renaissance Spanish word for viceroy.

While at first glance the phonology may be basically like any real spanish dialect, the only real difference beïng the voiced uvular stop, which is simply a gutteral double r, (which exists in Portuguese), the way it came to these sounds is much different. It even has the same allophonic rules with its stops. The other allophonic rules include that the velar series becomes uvular before a back vowel. So, "coudo" (es. codo) is pronounced [qowðo], and this leads to /ʁ/ and /ɣ/ merging before back vowels, even to the point where spellings of [ɢ~ʁ] does not always reflect etymology, so [ɢoβre] 'oak' is spelled "gobre" (es. roble) despite etymologically beïng "robre".

Development of Etymological Sibilants

In Spanish, all lingual fricatives derive from medieval sibilants. In Spanish, this was a result of first losing their voicing distinction and then becoming /θ/, /s/, or /x/. In the conlang, however, they moved first, merging with the lenited forms of the stops, so medieval [dz] merged with medieval [d], and [ʒ] became [ʝ] rather then [ʃ] and then [ç]. This changes a lot more though because there is also already a [ʝ] segment, which would render the functional load of the distinction great enough to possibly prevent further mergers.

Latin /f/

Beyond this, the fate of Latin /f/ is also slightly different. In early Spanish it became /h/, and Depending on the variëty of Spanish it either is still /h/ (as in Extremadura and parts of Andalusia), was lost entirely (the typical outcome), or merged with the reflex of Old Spanish /ʃ/ and /ʒ/ (some rural varieties of Latin America.). In the conlang however, the outcome depended on the context. Before front vowels and also after [i] it became [ç]. When between [a] or [o] and [u], [o], or [a], (or simply finally after [a] or [o]) it became [χ]. Both [ç] and [χ] mostly merged with the outcome of etymological [ʃ], which as already mentioned earlier underwent a shift of [ʃ] => [ç] => [x], and then uvularises after [a] and [o]. The sole exception to this merger is [χ] before [u].
The clusters [hw] and [hj] both became [f] and [x] <- [ç] respectively.

The palatal lateral

Spanish /ʎ/ also has no single clear cognate. Between non-front vowels, or initially before back vowels, /ʎ/ became [ɣ], passing through [ʟ] (this then backed to [ʁ] before /a/ and /o/). After syllables containing [j], it also dissimilated to [l]. Otherwise it became [ʝ] like in many variëties of Spanish.

The reason for words such as "gubia" and "jeno" having initial stops is the aforementioned rule whereby the voiced fricatives merged with the voiced stops.

Rhotics

Finally, we get to the outcome of [r]. Like in portuguese, this conlang has a gutteral rhotic; a simple [r] to [ʁ] shift. When combined with the broader betacism, this resulted in an initial allophone of [ɢ]. This did not affect the flap however, [ɾ], which has since turned into a trill.

Other Changes

Of course, these are merely the most notable changes. Other changes include voiceless plosives becoming fricatives in coda before an obstruent, and vowels raising before a coda nasal (except before a geminate nasal).
All in all, the result is a language with a very spanishy-sound (except the uvulars) but still quite distinct. This is not to get into the research I have yet to do to account for the language contact one would reasonably expect, which will be reflected in the morphology (hence why none was provided here).

Intro: As I alluded to over the weekend, I ordered & got in my FV SP mower, though I got it a day early, and decided to mow the lawn yesterday to test it out. I'm coming from the non self propelled version of the Gen 2 mower, which was a bit anemic, but got the job done for 3.5 seasons. My caveats here are that I haven't used a gas mower in 20 years, and I've never used a self propelled mower in my life, so I have nothing to compapre against here.
Mowinig Performance:
Overall the mower is really powerful, I mowed most of the lawn bagging, some of it side discharging and some of it mulching. The bagging performance was really good, compared to the Gen 2 mower. It was consistently filling the bag to around 90% full whereas the gen2 was filling it to about 20 or 30% which was annoying. This allowed me to mow almost the hole lawn bagging, which I never realistically would have done on my gen2. The mulching performance was pretty good as well. Sure it left clippings on the lawn, however the grass was wet, and the patch I set up last week to test this by not mowing it was almost 8 inches tall. So this was a bit of a torture test. The mower didn't bog down, nor did it seem really to care that I was asking it to chew through a bunch of stuff. I was even able to cold start the mower while it was in the grass, something I wouldn't have been able to do with my gen 2. The rear - side discharge capability was okay it didn't seem to clog as much as the gen2's side discharge would. The clippings were consistently spread across the lawn, and wasn't patchy as it was coming out.
Consistently filled about 90% of the bag before needing emptying.
Some of this was side discharged, and it was spread well enough that you can't even tell.
The mulching patch I used as a stress test. Almost all of this was 4/5 load with some dips to 5 but no bogging down.
Runtime & discharge:
Overall I would say that while I'm not impressed by the runtime, I'm not disappointed, which is really what matters. I went through one worn and two relatively new DCB609s and one full dcb612 which is roughly the same amount of power -- about is 20v equivalent 36 AH, or 12 AH at 60v accounting for battery wear on my older batteries -- as I would have gone through on my Gen2. The difference is that it went through them faster. This mow would have taken me about 2 and a half hours to do with the gen 2 because I would have had to go over the back yard twice. It's really thick and in need of dethatching, plus I noticed halfway through the mow that I wasn't mowing at the same level as I usually do because I misread the height gauge. All in all I went through all of that battery in about 1 hour 40 while mowing wet grass at a lower setting than my gen2 would have been able to do, so overall it's okay. Only subsequennt mows where I'm not trying to torture the mower will really tell. But I'll happily trade additional battery burn for saving an hour in these circumstances.
Unlike the gen 2 though, when the mower cuts out due to the battery, it's not going again. My batteries still ran the string trimmer after the mower refused to use them anymore, so I think the mower just refuses to run when the voltage coming from the battery gets too low. Both of my DCB609s stopped powering the mower with what I guess to be about 10% remaining. Just a thing I noticed. This mower is asking a lot out of its batteries and overall I'm pretty happy how it used them. The batteries weren't even warm when I took them out and that's with the mower operating at over the 3/5's load bar almost the entire time.
Ease of use:
There are some things that I noticed remain true from Project For Alls review of the 20v mower. (Go check it out on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h\_dU8CoTXDw&t=5s) I did agree that the thumb paddles were slightly awkward, though nothing I'm sure I can't get used to. They're very light action so I'm sure part of it was pushing more firmly on them than I needed to. I can't see how they'd be worse than EGO's SP buttons, they seem like they'd be about the same to me, it really didn't take much effort to depress them. I did also experience the thing he did as well where the drive wheels take a second to disengage so it's hard to back it up, however it's less than half a second on my mower so I'm sure some of that is just me needing to get used to using it. I wouldn't categorize this as a real complaint from my side, just a thing I noted. The main complaint I have about the mower is that it's very readr heavy to the front can bounce a bit more than you'd otherwise like, even more than the gen2. This also has a fun side effect of making the mower very wheelie happy, which is just another thing to get used to, again not really a problem, you just don't want to be pushing downward on the bar when you engage the self drive. One random thing to note, my power button has a cracked plastic retaining latch so if I push to the side, it won't properly reset, I'll probably just fix it I don't think that requires a fully warranty service. I'll probably just 3d print something. It's honestly probably a shipping defect because of how the mower is packaged things could it that area. Am I disappointed, yes, do I _really_ care. No. It's not worth a whole new mowever over a button that still ultimately works. I might tweet them just to let them know, but it's honestly no big deal.
I'm actually not sure if it will fit a 615, however if anyone has one, and can measure the tip of the terminal to the back of the battery I can probably check when I get back home tomorrow. The battery doesn't sit all the way in, so i think the far side of the terminal to the back of the battery is the measurement I need and I didn't see that online.
You can absolutely stow a spare battery with you so that you don't have to go to the garage to get another one. :p

TL;DR:
The mower has oodles and oodles of power, if you have ever used the full FlexVolt 60v Circular saw, it's that feeling that I'm talking about. It just doesn't care about load. It takes a lot to bog this mower down. Is it an EGO? No. Is it class leading? I'm not sure. It is however a good fit for me because I have FV batteries already from my woodworking tools. So overall I'm happy with this. I would recommend this mower for anyone with a bunch of FV like I do. (I have about 21AH at 60v worth of FV batteries) I'm happy with it, and it saved me about an hour of mowing overmy gen 2. As I said in the intro, I've not used a gas mower, nor ever used a self propelled so I don't have anything to compare this to. What I can say is my lawn is really thick so I was able to validate that this mower has "get up and go" power, and I overall liked the self propel functionality, and that's all that really matters right? It doesn't have to be the literal best to be good. I enjoyed using it, it saved me time, and that's what mattered. I'm happy with it and would recommend it.

I have a 20 year old furnace and an older Heat pump (Bryant). I'm trying to figure out if this quote is good at all. They are allegedly giving me a discount because of their May discount PLUS a discount if I commit TODAY (I told him upfront this is so salesy). The price below includes all the discounts.
Is the hyperheat any good? My house is about 3000 sqft but our 2nd floor gets roasted by the sun as its West Facing and covered with windows.

One thing that stands out to me is that the advice for getting laid while you are either cohabing and/or are going through a divorce is abstinence. It's good advice, to be sure, but in reality works about as well as teaching only abstinence in school - leaves you without the knowledge you need to succeed!
Basically, the steps below are designed to destroy her map of you. She knows what you do, she knows your routine, and women are pretty good at knowing the importance of suddenly different things. You will have to destroy her ability to know what to expect and normalize unpredictability.

1. Set a pin for your phone!

1A. Start by imagining you have something to hide on your phone. Put it on vibrate, keep it on your person at all times around her, if you set it down, set it down facedown. Don't answer a single text message in front of her, but you can and should use it to check the weather or emails, or surf the web. She probably won't say a single thing, but she is GOING to notice this change and now she's suspicious. Silence her messages - she's used to you responding quickly and she WILL find reasons to contact you just to see if you respond quickly. You will need to slow down communication with her - normalize your replies taking a long time. If she calls don't always pick up. Let it go to VM, or text her that you are busy, or will call back, or whatever. The goal of 1A is to break her expectation of you replying quickly so that it doesn't really stand out when you go on dates later.
1B. Pick a few days each and every week to be out of the house. Don't share what you are doing immediately, make her work for it. She may or may not ask for a while, but she's paying attention. What should you do? Well, I suggest buying some new clothes, try out a few gyms, go for a hike, try out new places to eat by yourself, check out bars and find a few cool ones at different parts of the area you are in, try out a musical instrument lesson, go to car meets, go to biker meets (Harley dealerships have huge bike meets and they cook), play poker, go fishing.... It doesn't matter WHAT you do specifically, just that you ARE actually doing things, and you SHOULD be doing things you would never normally do. Take pictures. You should do this for a minimum of 1 month.
***Why? Well, you don't really know who you are as a single man, and this step is partly to help you figure that out, while shattering her map of 'what you do.' At the same time, you are learning to be less dependent on her for emotional support, simply by slowing down communication with her and creating that distance.

1. This step depends on her, not you. She is going to question you about all these new things and probably outright accuse you of having another girl. Tell her you don't have one (don't get defensive), and if you can show a picture of what you were doing that triggered her accusations, then do it. Tell her you are doing new things because you are a single man again, and you need to discover who you are without her now. Tell her you have no interest in another relationship - that you have decided to work on yourself and focus on being happy. All of those things are true, and you should save the bulk of what you'll say for when she confronts you. The goal here is to get her to accept the IDEA you might actually be working on yourself and shutting her out - she's not going to buy it, but this casts doubt in her mind you found another woman, and that's good enough to continue to step 3.
   
2. CHANGE YOUR PHONES PIN CODE! She probably has it by now. We are about to actually have something to hide.
   
3. Sign up for whatever online dating apps, but you need to turn OFF banner alerts! This should be obvious, but don't bring her back to your house, no matter how sure you are your STBXW isn't going to be home or show up. Condoms... this will get you caught. Either buy and dispose of the whole pack (never bring them home) or find a really good spot to hide them in your car that she'll never find.
   
4. Great, now you found some girl and she's making you happy, right? Getting laid, she probably makes you feel like a Million $s. Good. You'll want to see her constantly because you just realized how terrible you have actually been treated, don't. Your STBXW will say some hurtful and mean things and you'll want to drop that you are and have been banging someone else... don't. If your STBXW feels like she's getting more suspicious end things with 'new girl,' let the situation cool and find a new, new girl... or don't, and continue to work on yourself.
   

Why go through all of this? Because even if you stop at step 3 you've helped yourself! Interestingly, like many can attest to, the moment you find another woman she'll be interested in you again. The mere idea that you could do new things and be happy without her will bring her right back - like the happiness sucking harpie she is.
Lastly, I want to say one more time, that I think NOT sleeping around until after your divorce has been signed by a judge is by far the smarter thing to do. What I am describing here is essentially OPSEC for having an affair, but this level of effort is required because while she may be able to get laid without consequence, the system is not 'for you' and she will make sure you get every inch of the justice d*ck without any lube if she finds out you are plowing the younger, hotter, fun version of her.

I've been a teacher for 25 years, 20 of which have been at my current school. I use a blood glucose sensor so my sugars can be shown to others, which I have done to share with SLT how the heat makes me constantly hypo as it makes insulin much more effective, but unpredictably so. I even make them put into writing at my annual review that the heat and lack of ventilation makes me ill. It results in me hypoing all day (emergency low blood sugar) and becoming exhausted, which is frightening as (due to public service cuts) I'm the lone adult in the classroom. It's 8pm here and I'm already in bed.
Last Tuesday was undoubtedly the most terrifying day of my life. The unbearable heat caused a prolonged hypo and I was so incredibly low (the idiom '4 on the floor' is appropriate here. Most diabetics will have a blood sugar around 7. Non-diabetics around 5. I know USA employ a different scaling system, so hopefully this provides some context). My blood sugar was 1. Pupils were about to leave at 3.30. I couldn't see due to double vision. I was sweating profusely and shaking like a pooping dog. Most importantly, I couldn't think straight. No chance. I had zero coordination a'd kept falling over.
My lovely classroom cleaner came in and recognised the signs straight away as she has a type 1 son. She knew I was BAD. In 16 ish years, I've never experienced such an event. I've never passed out. That was about to change...
My cleaner grabbed SLT member whom knew I'd never, ever been as bad as this. She takes me home and ensures I drink juice, eat etc until BS raise. She drives me back to school. This took far longer than usual and was indicative of how low I was. I collect car and come home. I've been a single parent for 20 years and have a son studying medicine (important later) at uni and a daughter waiting to start uni in September. She was not due home on Tuesday and was due to play football which I encouraged her to do as I was absolutely fine. She was due to stay at her b/fs but forgot something so popped home. She found me passed out cold in bed.
My daughter called for an NHS ambulance (every Brit will tell you of their total admiration for the NHS, as well as those that work there, but consistent and deliberate underfunding by our God awful government of over 14 years has destroyed what we hold dear) and was told the wait would be around 3 hrs. My son has nearly qualified as a doctor and told her to bundle me into the car and drive 5 mins to the hospital.
I have near zero recollection of the hospital as I kept passing out in the resuss unit. But even after stacks of IV and oral glucose, my sugar stayed at 1. It took HOURS to reach a safe level. It was around 430 am when we left and (as I didn't have my phone), my daughter emailed my head teacher informing him what happened and that I wouldn't be in that day. I took one day off (many will understand that staying off is usually more problematic than it's worth) and I returned to work on Thursday. Apon my return, I expected from SLT (Senior Leadership Team) understanding, empathy and a way of moving forward with a required adjustment to my working environment being seriously considered. Silly, silly me.
This is what happened and what I'm struggling to deal with.

• My head teacher was p155ed and blamed me. Bear in mind, nothing like this has ever happened, despite consistent lows brought on by a classroom with a temperature of over 40 degrees.
• Blame was shifted entirely onto me, I take my condition extremely seriously and blood test at least 20 times a day. I was berated and humiliated.
• I have an incredibly challenging year 3/4 class. The other 3/4 class is partly taught by the deputy head who cherry picks his class whom are the 'easiest' pupils.
• There's a year 3 teacher whom had the class last year whom enjoyed Full time support with them, which is basically unheard of these days but was deemed necessary. I was told that I'd been given the most challenging children as I have 'a way with SEND pupils' and I would have in-class support as well, whereas the Deputy wouldn't have any. Fair enough. This support never materialised. It's been the most challenging year of my career. This has made testing bloods etc more tricky.
• This year, I have become full-time for the first time in years due to cost of living crisis. I was questioned by Head whether I should be FT or whether I should be teaching at all. For a one off that I've warned them about! 25 years in! Head said 'I'm willing to let it carry on for now.' it's a protected disability. Can they do that?
• Zero compassion was shown for me only being here still because my daughter came home unexpectedly. I'd be dead, in a coma or severly brain damaged if she hadn't. How can they be so cold? It's made me feel awful. I always get an outstanding ofsted review (not that I place any weight on their limited snap shot reviews), am the most 'popular' teacher in school - as per Head and deputy - and Ofsted's review last year said my class made 'exceptional progress.' I'm genuinely good at my job. -I contacted my union on Saturday. I'm actually the union rep. I've not heard from them, as yet....

I'd love some advice - how to proceed to never experience this again, how to regain some confidence, and how I stand legally. Even if your advice is hard to hear, a harsh truth is preferable to a placating half truth.

Hi! I was recently diagnosed by my doctor after routine blood work with type 1 diabetes. I am questioning this diagnosis and am looking for some insight from people more experienced than me, because I feel that my doctor is not taking my questions seriously.
I got my fasting blood draw done for my routine physical last week, a1c was at 11, blood sugar was at 285. I am aware and fully accept that this indicates diabetes. I have a family history of type 2 on both sides of my family, probably about half of my adult family members on both sides, so honestly I was expecting it to come up at some point. I am 23 years old, and work a very active job at an animal shelter cleaning kennels, walking dogs, and assisting with lifting animals for surgeries. I am a bit overweight but not obese, I used to be but 3 years ago switched birth controls and have lost weight slowly and steadily since.
When my doctor called Monday with results, she asked some questions:
"Do you drink a lot of water or stay thirsty a lot?" "No"
"How often do you get up to use the bathroom at night?" "Usually once, sometimes not at all"
"Have you lost weight?" "Yes, 60 pounds over the last 3 years after switching birth control, only like 10 pounds the past year though."
She then said that she is diagnosing me with type 1 diabetes. I asked for an in person appointment to discuss my treatment options and she made me one with a different provider as her schedule was full.
A few hours later, she texted to let me know she had sent me in an insulin prescription. I looked and she had prescribed 30 units a day (5 fast acting for each meal, 15 long acting at night) which I felt like was a lot.
I did some googling in the meantime and felt like I didn't have any of the symptoms really. I also talked to a coworker who is type one and she advised me to hold off on the insulin until speaking to an endocrinologist since I feel fine. I decided to ask about the test for markers to determine the type I have since I have a big family history of type 2.
I went to my appointment with the second doctor that afternoon. I asked him about the test for markers and he said he had never heard of it. He looked up what it was in front of me and decided to order it. He also ordered another fasting blood draw for glucose levels and a1c. When I asked him why they thought it was type 1, he said "it can't be type 2 because you're not obese" which from what I've read is incorrect. I had him send me a referral to an endocrinologist. And he gave me a glucose tester with instructions to track my levels. He seemed to think I was in denial about having diabetes, kept saying "you definitely have it" which I'm not denying I just want to know for sure what type. I also asked why start me out on so much insulin instead of going into diet/exercise details or trying oral medication and his response was "that's a good point".
Does this seem normal? I feel that my doctors thus far have not seemed very knowledgeable about the disease from what I have been researching on my own. I am definitely planning on a second opinion from an endocrinologist either way. Thanks!

To start off with, im not a noob of these style of games. I played the demo and was unimpressed and figured I would come back when it was a better product. Ive beat all the souls games, souls like games, team ninja games, etc.. so I promise, I dont need my questions broke down super simplistic lol. I finished ROTR twice and came over to Wo Long. I typically stick with the games to make the most OP build I can for myself, which is what Im trying to accomplish here.
Im pretty sure I am blitzing through the game a little too fast and am fairly underleveled and surviving based solely on build and a little bit of skill lol. I basically blitzed through the campaign and got the platinum trophy, then the 3 DLCs, and have been moving onto the newest difficulty as soon as it unlocks to improve builds. Currently, I am level 181 and I unlocked I believe Dragon King difficulty with 8* rarity gear and then beat the first mission to make sure I could do so. No issues there. I figure I will step into the TMJ once I get max rarity gear drops.
Question 1 is what is the highest rarity level you can get on gear? I have seen conflicting information on this being that 8* was the max and also that 9* gear was available. Also, if there is a higher level than 8*, whats the best method to obtain it?
Question 2, what is the highest level you can upgrade gear and weapons? I have picked up a few +11 items already. I tried googling this and seen answers of +20 but no good information on how to get from +11 to +20 which seems like a stretch. So if it is much higher, how do you continue to progress efficiently?
Question 3, have I been following an appropriate progression path? I mainly ask because the mission I just completed was 401 and i was 181 and that seems kind of crazy. I realize that i skipped a bunch of missions, and thus potential Qi leveling, by jumping to next difficulty immediately but I have not been dying regularly so Im not sure if this is normal for most people. If I am following the appropriate path, where should I go from here? My original plan was to farm to max rarity level in most slots with a solid build, then start TMJ to max out. Im just not sure if thats correct at this point lol.
Hopefully some of you fellow grindy veterans can point me in the right direction so i dont waste too much time regrinding the wrong shit for the wrong loot! Thanks to the community in advance.

Hello, here I am once again! First ever Fan-Fic.
Last week I opened a poll about the type of Fan-Fic I should write (or try to), and after a good 4 days I took a look at said poll, and the overwhelming majority went for Option 2. And so I shall try my hardest to deliver, and give you all a story about Humanity entering on the Galactic stage later and being more prepared for eventual hostile encounters, and acting as such.
Let's see what I can cook up in my tired state- Some creative liberties are to be expected.

It has finally happened. A fellow space-faring civilization has been found, something we thought would happen one day- Never in my 40 years would I have guessed it would happen in my lifetime. But I guess that is the thought process for everyone who are now involved.
I had gotten the first message out of anyone. It was now up to me to head to the HQ and get everything ready for the Emergency meeting. We'll have to "discuss" our next course of action on this situation. And I use the term "discuss" lightly, because there is not a lot to discuss, rather there is much to think about as a potential next step. I'll be having these discussions with our diplomatic and military advisors. Civil advisors will be left out, as to not make the public aware of this discovery ...at least, not yet.
I have an hour to get everything ready... and I still need to travel 20 minutes to get there. Luckily I have my own companion who can be my chauffeur- who is always ready at a moments notice, essentially 24/7.
I was speed-walking.. or speedily descending more like it, down the stairs of my house. ...Don't ask me what I was doing upstairs. My hastiness almost caused me to trip while going down the stairs because I was in a such rush to get outside, I did not have a lot of time on my hands.
After reaching the ground-floor I sped-walked past the kitchen, and I took a second to contemplate about taking a quick bite from a snack, but I decided against it. After-all, I could eat at the HQ... not that I'd have the time too, but at least I could give it a shot if I arrive in time.
As my journey to the front door continued, I was met with a familiar face- namely Heluni. Heluni is my Android companion. Android technology has gotten far over the last few decades, and Androids have become more Human than ever before.
"Good morning Alan!" Heluni spoke up, her voice as smooth as the calmest oceans. I looked towards her, and greeted her in return.
"Morning Heluni- Sorry to be a bother, but I gotta use your driving expertise again today. Emergency UN meeting. It's at 12, but I would like to be there as quickly as possible. Can you do that for me?"
"Of course I can, sir. Right this way." She led the way, opening the front door, waiting on me to follow behind her. I took my place behind her as she led me towards our car that was parked outside. A classic unmarked "not noticeable" vehicle, one everyone knows screams "here is someone important" but no one seems to care about in their daily life.
And like always when walking outside, my mind wandered to the flowing shoulder long hair Heluni has, her hair was always a beautiful sight to behold. How she- an Android- managed to have the hair of a Goddess remains a mystery to me. But I learned to never question our technological prowess.
Before I knew it, I was standing next to the car, Heluni having already taken the drivers seat. I took my seat in the back. And before I even sat down, Heluni look back at me. "Ready sir?"
"Floor it." was the only thing I responded with.. and Heluni took off like it was the end of the world.
... And I'm suddenly reminded why I only used her driving skills in Emergencies. This type of driving is gonna make me sick- but it's to late now, I suppose. I gazed down to my watch, and it's 11:15. If Heluni keeps driving like this, we'll be there in about 10 minutes.

We drove through the city towards the UN Headquarters. Heluni was cutting through the traffic wherever she could- you'd think we would get pulled over. But the only reason we never were, was because the only symbol on this car (to at least mark it somewhat) was that the UN symbol was put in place of the car-manufacturer logo. Any officer knew that, if a UN car was speeding like this, there was something going on.
But since I still did not want the public to know about the discovery made earlier today, I'd have to come up with some excuse for this... I think I'll wave it off as a training exercise for my Android.
Noticing that I was rather quiet, Heluni chirped up. "Sir, is everything okay?"
"Hm? .. Oh yeah, just thinking about stuff. Don't worry about it."
"Sir, is it about the upcoming meeting? What is it about?"
"..Heluni, that's confidential information-"
"I know sir, but perhaps.. whatever it will be about, is making you nervous?"
... Am I nervous? I don't think I am- maybe subconsciously I am??

"Is it bad?" Heluni asked me, trying to inquire more out of me.

"Will I be allowed to know more about this meeting?"
"One day you will, Heluni. But for now, that's gonna be a negative."

For the rest of our journey, no words were spoken. I was deep in thought again. Like.. what does this mean for my career? I will be the first leader in UN history who may lay the ground-works for an eventual "First Contact" between Humans and an Alien species.
I'm nervous thinking ahead that far, for all we know, they are those type of Alien we have seen in pop-culture. Either fun and loving, or utterly ruthless and genocidal. What would they think of us? ... What will we think of them? Is there a potential for a future war?
We have that last one covered at least. Humans being Humans and all- we already have a decent Space going fleet of roughly 8000 ships of various sizes. ... Just in case a Colony gets any funny ideas with their local security forces. But now knowing we might have to face off against Aliens as well, I think it's about time to ramp up the ship production tenfold.
More importantly, we have to spy on them. Luckily that probe we sent is close to their planet, so we'll just use that for any surveillance and intelligence..
My thoughts were shaken back into reality from plausible scenarios once we took a tight corner a little too fast- but before I could scold Heluni for it, there it was, the UN-HQ in the distance. A few more minutes, and we'll be there.
