2024.05.21 13:12 Truly_Organic Seeking advice and opinion about my idea for a Gold playthrough.

Lately I wanted to finaly play Pokemon Gold emulator on my phone, but to spice it up a little I wanted to make it a bit more difficult and interesting for myself, so I'm gonna try to make it into a modified Hardcore Randomizer Nuzlocke! Sadly, since I don't know how to actually randomize a game, I'm gonna try to achieve a similar outcome with cheats and a random number generator site.
I would like to ask for opinion and advice regarding stuff like if my rules are resonable for Pokemon Gold and won't go against the way progression, mechanics and locations are structured in this game, or if the way I want to handle item and trade evolutions sounds balanced.
So far the rules of the playthrough include:
  1. Basic nuzlocke rules.
  2. No use of items in trainer battles, but allowed in pokemon encounters.
  3. Level caps set to next gym leader's ace or the third elite four member's ace.
  4. The number of pokemon you can have in the gym is restricted to the number of pokemon the gym leader uses. The levels of your pokemon as you enter the gym should mirror the gym leader (e.g. you can only take 2 pokemon to Violet City gym, one at level 7, one at level 9). Pokemon are allowed to level up past the level cap in the gym itself.
  5. Pokemon encounters are chosen via numbers generated from 1 to 117, which correspond to a base form of every pokemon line excluding legendaries. The number is generated as soon as you have your first normal wild encounter in the location. Then you must encounter the randomized pokemon of the same level as the wild encounter. The pokemon encountered might be evolved if the level of the encounter allows for it. That includes trade evos, but not stone evos (but I'm not sure about that rule).
  6. When facing a static Legendary, generate 3 numbers and choose one of them, then proceed with the encounter against the randomized pokemon in place of the legendary.
  7. No fishing encounters in places, where no other way of encounter is possible.
  8. You can't leave a location until you finish it, after which you unlock it and can explore freely. To finish a location, you have to either:
  9. get to another entrance to the location that leads to a town or a place with a pokecenter (e.g. if you enter route 30 from Cherrygrove City, you would have to cross route 31 and get to Violet City to finish the location. After that you can enter and exit the routes to heal or buy items and reenter the routes 30 and 31).
Also, since trade evolutions are normally impossible and evolution stones are very hard to get in Johto, I thought about making these pokemon evolve at certain levels instead. It would go like this: - Jigglypuff and Sunkern evolve at lv20 - Pokemon with one stage that evolve via evolution stones evolve at lv28 - Pokemon with two stages that evolve via evolution stones evolve at lv34 - Pokemon that evolve via trade with a hold item evolve at lv34 while holding the needed item - Pokemon that evolve via trade without an item do so at lv42
I'm not sure if these levels are too high or too low, since the entire Johto region operates on low levels and I want to make use of these evolutions, but I don't want them to be broken :P
What do you all think about this set of rules? Does it sound reasonably hard but fun? Do you have any ideas for improvement? Would love some feedback!
Thank you for reading, have a good day!

2024.05.21 12:55 BlacksmithPristine88 I often get problem with raid or rarer other event not spawning on Cassandra but I never get any specify error i debug log, maybe someone with better knowledge could look at my debug log and my mod list and give some clou what is causing the problem

I don't know what I can do anymore, as i get the bug whit raid not spawning really often without any error or clue, I is hard to test whit different mod list because i take a long time to tested. Maybe there are some more obvious problem on my mod list that someone better informed cloud spot? if something i deleted my user folder and content folder on steam and download everything again.
Here my log

2024.05.21 12:53 Truly_Organic Seeking advice and opinion about my idea for a Gold playthrough.

2024.05.21 12:51 aarvyedutech How do I become a full-stack developer?

 How do I become a full-stack developer?
A Comprehensive Guide: How to Become a Full-Stack Developer
Became a full stack
With the tech world constantly on the move, full-stack developers are the new rockstars. These programming wizards can craft both the user interface (the part you see) and the inner workings of web apps, making them goldmines for businesses. Because they can speed up development and create amazing user experiences, companies are in a hiring frenzy to snag them.
So, if you're a student dreaming of becoming a full-stack developer, get ready for an adventure! It won't be a breeze, but the potential for career growth is outstanding. This guide will be your map, outlining the strategies and steps you'll need to navigate your way into this exciting and in-demand field.
Understanding the Role of a Full-Stack Developer
Hold on! Before we jump into the nitty-gritty, let's nail down what a full-stack developer does. These tech pros are like masters of two worlds: the user-facing interfaces you see and interact with (front-end), and the behind-the-scenes logic that makes everything work (back-end). This means they can handle everything from designing how things look to managing databases and keeping the server running smoothly.
Alright, we've got a full picture of what a full-stack developer does. Now, let's break down the key areas they need to master:
Making it Pretty: This is the front end, all about the visual elements users interact with. Think HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, along with fancy tools like React, Angular, or Vue.js to make it all sing.
Behind the Scenes: This is the back-end, where the server magic happens. Here, full-stack developers build the core functions using technologies like Node.js, Python (with Django or Flask for extra power), Ruby on Rails, or PHP.
Data Doctor: Full-stack developers gotta keep all that user data organised! They'll need to be familiar with databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Firebase to store and grab info efficiently.
Version Control Champs: Working with others and keeping track of code changes is essential. That's where Git, a version control system, comes in. Full-stack developers gotta be pros at using it.
## Strategy 1: Master the Fundamentals
Imagine you want to be a web-building ninja, but before you can unleash your skills, you need some serious training. That's where HTML, CSS, and JavaScript come in. These are the basic building blocks for creating the cool interfaces users see and interact with on websites. Think of them as your Legos!
Luckily, there are tons of ways to learn this stuff, like online tutorials, coding boot camps (think summer camp, but for coding!), or even just a good book. Find what works best for you, then dive in and practice like crazy. The best way to learn is by doing, so build some small projects to play around with and get comfortable with these core concepts.
## Strategy 2: Choose Your Stack Wisely
As a full-stack developer, you'll need to choose a technology stack that aligns with your interests and career goals. Research different stacks and consider factors such as industry demand, community support, and scalability.
Some popular technology stacks for full-stack development include:
MEAN Stack (MongoDB, Express.js, Angular, Node.js): Ideal for building dynamic and feature-rich web applications.
MERN Stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js): Similar to MEAN stack but uses React for front-end development.
LAMP Stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP/Python/Perl): Commonly used for traditional web development projects.
Django Stack (Python, Django, PostgreSQL/SQLite): Great for rapid development of secure and scalable web applications.
Choose a stack that resonates with you and dive deeper into mastering its components.

## Strategy 3: Gain Hands-On Experience

Okay, so we talked about building the knowledge foundation, but being a full-stack developer is all about applying that knowledge in the real world. Here's how to get your hands dirty:
Real World Bootcamp: Look for internships, freelance work, or even just personal projects to test your skills on real problems.
Open Source Hero: Join open-source projects on platforms like GitHub. This lets you collaborate with experienced developers, learn from them, and show off your skills to potential employers all at once!
Project Runway (for Code): Put your knowledge to the test and unleash your creativity by building your projects. This is a fantastic way to showcase your problem-solving skills and build a portfolio that will make you a rockstar applicant.
## Strategy 4: Stay Updated with Emerging Technologies
The world of web development moves fast, with new tools and tricks popping up all the time. To stay on top of your game, you'll need to be a lifelong learner. Here's how to become a web dev news junkie:
Follow the Gurus: Subscribe to industry blogs written by web development experts.
Webinars on Demand: Attend online workshops and presentations to learn about the latest advancements.
Join the Club: Participate in online developer communities to chat with other developers and stay in the loop.
Don't just read about the cool new stuff, try it out! Experiment with new technologies and frameworks to keep your skills sharp and adapt to the ever-changing needs of the industry.
## Strategy 5: Cultivate Soft Skills
Team Player: You'll need to communicate clearly with your teammates and explain technical stuff to people who don't code. Brushing up on your communication skills is key!
Puzzle Master: Problem-solving and critical thinking are essential for tackling those inevitable development roadblocks.
Time Ninja: Staying organised and managing your time well will help you meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work. No more all-nighters for this developer!
## Strategy 6: Continuous Learning and Growth
Keep the Learning Flame Alive: This journey is all about continuous growth. Always be on the hunt for new knowledge! Dive into advanced web development concepts like serverless architecture, microservices, and progressive web apps. Consider certifications or advanced courses to truly master specific areas of full-stack development and become an expert.
Join the Developer Crew: Don't go it alone! Network with other developers and industry professionals. Bounce ideas around, find a mentor for guidance, and stay motivated throughout your journey. Remember, collaboration is a fantastic way to learn and grow as a developer!
## Conclusion
So you want to be a full-stack developer? That's awesome! It's a challenging path, but super rewarding if you're up for it. Just like any adventure, it takes dedication, perseverance, and a genuine love for learning.
Here's the trick: equip yourself with the basics first, like a strong foundation in coding. Then, pick the right tools for the job, kind of like choosing your gear for a hike. To truly level up, get your hands dirty with real projects. It's like learning to ride a bike - you gotta practice! The tech world moves fast, so staying on top of new trends is key.
Don't forget, that communication, teamwork, and problem-solving are your secret weapons - essential for any developer. The most important thing? Never stop learning! Embrace the journey, and keep getting better every day. There will be obstacles, but each one will make you a stronger developer. Stay curious, stay motivated, and keep pushing yourself to be the best. The world of full-stack development is waiting for you, and with the right approach, you can totally crush it!

2024.05.21 12:03 hellarick FFIE short share analysis. Completed by 4o using available data.

From the provided data and the plot, we can observe the following trends:
  1. Fluctuating Availability: The number of short shares available for FFIE has fluctuated significantly over the past few days.
  2. Recent Decrease and Replenishment: There was a sharp decrease in the availability of short shares on May 21, 2024, from 10 million at 04:21:24 to 2.1 million at 01:06:36. This suggests that a substantial number of shares were borrowed for short selling, indicating increased shorting pressure.
  3. Periodic Increases: There are periods where the availability of short shares increases back to higher levels (e.g., from 5.1 million to 10 million between May 20 and May 21). This could indicate either short sellers returning borrowed shares or new shares becoming available for short selling.
  4. Volatility: The overall volatility in the short shares availability indicates active shorting activity, which can contribute to the potential for a short squeeze if demand for shorting continues to outpace availability.

Appraisal of Successful Pressure:

To monitor the potential for a successful short squeeze, it would be crucial to continue tracking the availability of short shares and the stock's price movements, looking for sustained decreases in availability coupled with upward price pressure.https://share.icloud.com/photos/00cls4Ficm5ZW6wWgSQ75BOEw

2024.05.21 11:44 BobDylanMadHatter Cannot set up Ubiquiti U7-Pro in AP mode for office

Hi folks,
My brain is melting because I cannot figure out why the Unifi app on my phone can't connect to the AP.
Equipment:
Here is what I've tried:
  1. Plug LAN port of PoE injector to LAN 1 of wireless router - cannot connect to AP
  2. Plug PoE injector directly to ethernet switch - cannot connect to AP
  3. Plug PoE injector directly to Cisco router - cannot connect to AP
We have internet through all of our ethernet ports in the office, so there is no problem with the router, switch, wireless router or infrastructure.
Watching some videos on Youtube, I know the AP is supposed to light up blue. Mine has not done so at all which leads me to question if this is a power problem between the PoE injector and the U7-Pro. If that is the case... what do I do? Because this injector is an offical Ubiquiti PoE injector which works with all Ubiquiti Pro access points. I've tried three ethernet cables too.
Super lost, please help!

2024.05.21 09:47 mcm8279 [Opinion] SlashFilm: "Star Trek Changed My Life Forever And Reigns As The Greatest Sci-Fi Franchise Of All Time" "The crew of the Enterprise weren't "violent/cool," and I liked that. "I love "Star Trek" deeply because of its radical, aggressive optimism. It envisions a world, and a form of entertainment, that downplays conflict. Drama and power can come from elsewhere. The future, "Trek" always declared, was going to be populated by nerds, miracle tech, and egalitarianism. And what's so funny about peace, love, and understanding?"

https://www.slashfilm.com/1582617/star-trek-changed-my-life-forever-reigns-as-greatest-sci-fi-franchise-of-all-time/
Quotes:
"Like many Trekkies, I came to "Star Trek" at an early age. Throughout the 1980s, reruns of the original series would air on my local station (KCOP, channel 13 in Los Angeles), and they would serve as a periodic video backdrop to our dinnertimes. As a child, "Star Trek" was merely an action-light, horror-heavy sci-fi adventure series, and my older sister and I would gleefully yell out when Spock (Leonard Nimoy) performed his notorious Vulcan nerve pinch, or when Captain Kirk (William Shatner) got to snog an itinerant babe. We would hide our heads from the monster of the week; like many, I was terrified by the scowling face of Balok, the Ted Cassidy-voiced puppet alien from "The Corbomite Maneuver" (November 10, 1966).
Perhaps unusually for a child, I wasn't powerfully drawn to action, fights, or explosions in my entertainment. I would indeed watch the era's toyetic wartime cartoons like "Transformers" and "G.I. Joe," of course, but I didn't care deeply for the characters, nor have much invested in their dramatic stakes. I had trouble taking the "oorah" action seriously, perhaps already innately understanding that the cartoon soldiers were fictional and their triumphs were only temporary; what is the meaning of a victory when the bad guys will merely return the following week?
I only realized this in retrospect, but "Star Trek" was secretly providing an antidote to the breathless mayhem oozing from every pore of my generation's childhood entertainment. It was a series that, despite bad guys, monsters, and fights, was ultimately teaching intense lessons of diplomacy and leadership. The crew of the Enterprise weren't "violent/cool," and I liked that. Finally, I realized, here was a show about pacifism.
And, yes, "Star Trek" communicated themes of pacifism. It might have been a fluke of 1960s special effects budgets, but "Star Trek" rarely showed the USS Enterprise firing off its weapons or getting into full-scale starship battles. The common playground pop culture query of "who would win in a fight?" seemed churlish with "Star Trek." Would Kirk win in a fight with, say, Han Solo? Even as a wee bairn, I had to ask why Kirk and Han Solo would be fighting in the first place. I figured Spock would merely ask Han Solo about his ship while Kirk invited him in for a meal. Power, "Star Trek" argued, wasn't derived from one's ability to dominate and overwhelm others with tactics and weapons prowess, but to negotiate, adapt, and remain friendly.
[...]
Whether "Star Trek" taught me to be a pacifist or whether I was already a pacifist can be debated, but creator Gene Roddenberry and I were definitely on the same wavelength. "Star Trek" took place in a post-war universe at a time when humans had outgrown the need to kill each other for resources, and petty political grievances were a thing of the past.
[...]
Star Trek is for nerds, and that's a good thing
While it may be a cliché, I still maintain that "Star Trek" is for nerds. That is, I should hasten to add, a high compliment. With the release of "Next Generation," I was given my clearest, most refreshing draft of action-antidote. I began to realize that the rest of the American viewing public longed for conflict and war and action in their entertainment, with boys my age constantly raving about the latest 'splosion-fest that evoked the word "awesome."
Meanwhile, over on "Star Trek: The Next Generation," the universe had already graduated, moved into the stars, and gave up on action altogether. Oh sure, Commander Riker (Jonathan Frakes) was handy with a phaser, Worf (Michael Dorn) could murder you with a bat'leth, and the USS Enterprise-D needed to employ some sneaky battlefield tactics to outgun the Borg (or any number of other opponents), but one always got the sense that weapons and fights were a last-ditch tactic, a formality that must be seen through before an understanding could be reached. War was to be avoided at all costs.
What's more, there were classical references! Whenever Picard quoted Shakespeare, my heart would sing. By the time I turned 13 (when NextGen had just finished its fourth season), I too was getting into Shakespeare and Picard emerged as a teacher, a fictional professor that you didn't want to disappoint. I finally realized that the nerdy sci-fi technicalities of "Star Trek," along with its classical obsessions, workplace propriety, devotion to diplomacy, multicultural mindsets, and ability to brainstorm open-minded solutions to complex problems ... these were all aspirational states. Scoop in a few ethical dilemmas — racism, euthanasia, gender politics — and "Trek" gave me everything.
Star Trek obsession is healthy, actually
Like with the original series, the peacefulness of "Next Generation" could easily have been a product of its budget; without the money to stage massive phaser battles, fights and scrapes rarely rose above the skirmish level. This, by necessity, required the show to de-emphasize violence. The makers of "NextGen" also couldn't afford to visit alien worlds regularly, forcing them to shoot on the same six or seven sets week after week.
The limitations, however, allowed Trekkies to enjoy our time on board the Enterprise. "Star Trek" is, after all, a workplace drama above anything else, and we loved seeing the characters do their jobs on an day-to-day basis. We lived with the Enterprise crew long enough that we started to get a sense of how the ship worked. That, in turn, led directly into fantasies of living in "Star Trek," knowing we could operate the machinery if asked. It also didn't seem so terrible to live in a world that was devoted to science, peace, and diplomacy.
[...]
When J.J. Abrams' 2009 "Star Trek" reboot film came out, the franchise was altered to be one of the usual action flicks that "Trek" previously eschewed. It appealed to a mass audience. Conversations began as to what constituted "real Trek," leading directly into additional conversations about gatekeeping, fandom, and franchise evolution. Is "Star Trek" for nerds, or can it appeal to — for lack of a better term — jocks?
Conversations between Trekkies in the 1990s were impassioned, but rarely caustic (at least in my experience). In 2009, however, notions of fan toxicity were more openly acknowledged among pop obsessives, and people became angrier about their obsessions. All of a sudden, I was an "old school" Trekkie.
I was 31 and okay being "old school." After all, decades had passed since "Next Generation," a series that responded to Ronald Reagan and flourished during the 1990s. Why shouldn't it adjust again? I didn't like the franchise's actioned-up response to 9/11, but I was still happy to have debates as to what "Star Trek" meant and what modern action films communicated.
"Trek" taught me to negotiate ... about "Trek."
What Star Trek means today
I am on record with my feelings about the Paramount+ era of "Star Trek," and I have frequently been rather critical. I want to go on record, however, that my criticisms are not based in misplaced nostalgia, prejudicial hate against new "Star Trek," nor a gradually closing mind (an unfortunate affliction that can sometimes strike people rounding middle age). Indeed, I have liked a great deal of the "Star Trek" shows that have debuted since 2017. I think "Star Trek: Lower Decks" perfectly balances humor and irreverence with notable "Star Trek" themes of growth and maturity. "Lower Decks" is about lower-ranking officers who have the crappiest jobs on a Starfleet vessel, and struggle to grow up when they have a twentysomething's instincts toward laziness and bad decision-making. "Star Trek" is about adults, and "Lower Decks" sees people becoming adults.
Likewise, "Star Trek: Strange New Worlds" returns to an episodic structure, allowing for miniature dramas and handily-packaged morality plays to be presented more cleanly than the broad arcs of "Discovery" or "Picard." I only wince at "Star Trek" when it violates its own principles or lazily falls into action-based stories that (perhaps unwittingly) glorify combat, war, and aggression. And make no mistake, these kinds of stories were always part of the franchise; they didn't start in 2017.
I love "Star Trek" deeply because of its radical, aggressive optimism. It envisions a world, and a form of entertainment, that downplays conflict. Drama and power can come from elsewhere. The future, "Trek" always declared, was going to be populated by nerds, miracle tech, and egalitarianism. And what's so funny about peace, love, and understanding?
War was our awkward adolescence, "Trek" said, and our adulthood is in the stars."

With a blade length of 3 inches and overall length of 7.78 inches, it's thin, flat, and lightweight at just over 3 ounces including the sheath. The star feature of this knife is the double ring handle, which allows you to use it with either a forward or reverse grip, and prevents your hand from sliding forward on the blade.
The Japanese Aus 8A stainless steel makes it durable and easy to maintain. The Secure-Ex Neck Sheath provides a secure and easy-to-use carry option.
However, the sheath might need some adjustments to ensure a perfect fit for some users. Overall, the Cold Steel Double Agent II is a great choice for self-defense and urban carry, offering a high level of functionality and portability for its price.

One day, I found myself in a situation where I needed a reliable and sturdy knife. After a quick research, I stumbled upon the Cold Steel Chaos, a double-edge fixed blade inspired by the classic trench knives from both World Wars. This knife was designed for modern-day warriors, offering both security and comfort while holding it.
Upon holding the knife, the unique D-ring guard made of reinforced 6061 aluminum caught my attention. It allowed me to grip the knife securely, while also protecting my hand from incoming attacks and damage. The 1055 carbon steel pommel was tapered for punyo or butt-strikes, making it perfect to defend myself in a life-threatening scenario.
The 7.5-inch SK-5 high carbon blade was available in either double-edge or tanto blade shapes. I opted for the double-edge, as I believed it would provide a more efficient cutting and striking experience. The black Tuff-Ex coating on the blade enhanced corrosion resistance and improved cutting power by reducing friction.
The handle, made of 6061 T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, felt solid and secure in my hand. It accommodated a wide range of hand sizes, including mine with average-sized hands. The knife came with a tough Secure-Ex sheath, equipped with a belt loop for dependable and versatile carry.
My experience with the Cold Steel Chaos double-edge blade was nothing short of impressive. It offered a perfect balance between form and function in a sleek design. Although it was a bit heavy compared to other knives, its weight contributed to its strength and effectiveness. The knife was sharp, sturdy, and ready for action at all times, making it an excellent addition to my daily life and adventures.

The Cold Steel AK-47 Field Knife has quickly become a favorite amongst those seeking a reliable and sturdy multi-purpose fixed blade. Crafted with CPM3-V steel, this knife boasts a robust design that's perfect for tackling the rigors of everyday life. The stonewashed finish adds an element of toughness, ensuring that this field knife is ready for even the harshest conditions.
Equipped with a full tang and integral steel pommel, the AK-47 Field Knife offers both functionality and durability. It also comes with a Secure-Ex sheath, providing the convenience of easy transportation. I've been using the Cold Steel Peace Maker II for a few weeks now, and I must say, it's a game-changer. The knife is incredibly lightweight, making it perfect for daily carry. I've been using it for a variety of tasks, from opening boxes to trimming small branches, and it's handled every job with ease.
One of the standout features is the Scandi ground blade, which is incredibly easy to resharpen. The unique compound ground clip point provides a stiff distal tapered point capable of piercing thick targets without compromising precious cutting power.
The ergonomic handle design is another plus, with a thin, rectangular shape and subtle contouring. The palm swell and double quillon guard offer both comfort and protection. The knife also comes with a secure-ex sheath, which is cut and stab-resistant and impervious to the elements. The sheath attachment is sturdy and won't come loose, even during strenuous activities.
However, the blade does require frequent sharpening due to its soft steel composition. But considering the product's affordability, it's a small price to pay for the versatility and convenience it offers. The Peace Maker II is a reliable, multifunctional knife that's perfect for those who need a reliable and versatile cutting tool.

As a reviewer who has tried the Cold Steel Master Hunter, I can confidently say that it has become my go-to knife for various outdoor activities. One of the features that stood out to me was the comfortable, deeply checkered Kraton grip, which allows for long-term use without any discomfort. The broad, thin blade with a distinct taper provides exceptional cutting ability, edge retention, and ease of resharpening.
However, one of the cons I encountered was the knife's tendency to be easily lost due to its minimalistic design. I also noticed that the blade occasionally required additional sharpening, despite its excellent edge retention. Nevertheless, the overall performance and durability of the Master Hunter make it a reliable and versatile tool for all your hunting needs.

However, I noticed that the sheath does not come with a belt clip, which might be inconvenient for some users. Additionally, while the knife is made of MoV steel, I found that its edge needs frequent sharpening compared to other knives I've used.

The Cold Steel Double Agent II, designed by Zach Whitson, is a versatile and portable knife that is perfect for urban carry.

🔗Cold Steel Recon Tanto SK-5 Biker Knife with Secure-Ex Sheath

I recently tried the Cold Steel Recon Tanto SK-5, and I must say, I was truly impressed by this knife. The blade material, SK-5 carbon stainless steel, provided a smooth cut and the razor-sharp edge was exceptional. The handle, made of Kraton, was both comfortable and grippy in my hand.
One of the standout features of this knife was its balance. It felt well-proportioned and easy to maneuver, making it a great choice for various tasks, from camping to self-defense. The blade thickness of 5mm added an extra layer of confidence when performing deeper cuts.
While the blade material is rust-resistant, the black Tuff-Ex finish on the blade did scratch off quite easily. However, this did not affect the knife's performance or durability. The weight of the knife, at 250 grams, made it a suitable everyday carry, providing a mix of portability and power.
Overall, the Cold Steel Recon Tanto SK-5 is a high-quality knife with a durable design and a smooth, sharp edge. It's an excellent choice for those seeking a reliable and versatile fixed blade for their everyday needs or even the most challenging outdoor situations.

🔗Dependable Tanto SAS Knife with Polypropylene Handle

The Cold Steel GI Tanto 80PGTK is a versatile, well-rounded tactical knife that has become a staple for many outdoor enthusiasts and survivalists. Its broad blade and integrated guard design provide a solid grip, while the Polypropylene handle scales offer a comfortable and durable hold.
I've had the pleasure of using this knife in various situations, from camping trips to survival drills, and it has never let me down. The 1055 carbon steel ensures a strong, rugged construction that holds up well against rust and harsh conditions. The spring-tempered steel provides an excellent balance between strength and flexibility, allowing the blade to withstand the most demanding tasks without compromising its performance.
One of the standout features of the GI Tanto is its versatility - it can be easily converted into a spear in a pinch, simply by removing the handle scales and attaching the blade to a suitable wooden shaft. This adaptability makes it an invaluable addition to any survival kit or bug-out bag.
However, no product is without its drawbacks, and the GI Tanto is no exception. While its sturdy construction ensures a long lifespan, handling it for extended periods can be tiring due to its substantial weight. Additionally, the knife's size makes it less practical for everyday carry or more discreet situations.
Price-wise, the GI Tanto is a steal, offering a fantastic value for its quality and features. It's affordable enough to stock up on multiple copies for personal use or as gifts for friends and family.
In summary, the Cold Steel GI Tanto 80PGTK is a robust, versatile, and dependable tactical knife that has earned its reputation among outdoor enthusiasts and survivalists alike. Its few drawbacks are outweighed by its numerous benefits, making it a great choice for anyone looking for a durable and versatile blade for their adventures.

🔗SK-5 High Carbon Cold Steel - Chaos Double Edge Knife

https://preview.redd.it/t09nqfrrfq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c0dca37b5938fece92d9d262bd20d1c510a35f82

🔗Classic Cold Steel Tanto Point Boot Knife

https://preview.redd.it/be02p66sfq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4715c4cfdb0aefef000198a79034e12d65e7e899
As someone who often finds themselves in need of a reliable blade for everyday use, I've had the pleasure of testing out the Cold Steel Kobun. This lightweight Tanto styled boot knife is definitely a handy addition to have on hand. I was instantly impressed by its sharp, reinforced point that contrasts with the thin blades commonly found in other boots knives.
One feature that stood out to me was the Kobun's deeply checkered Kraton handle. It offers an excellent grip, making the knife more secure in the hand. The cross section of the handle is also surprisingly thin, while still providing enough thickness to resist turning or shifting.
Another notable aspect of the Kobun is that it comes complete with a Secure-Ex sheath. This sturdy sheath makes it easy to attach the knife securely to your belt, ensuring that it remains easily accessible whenever you need it.
However, there was one downside that I discovered while using the Kobun. The default clip that was included with the knife was quite weak and didn't hold up well to everyday wear. I had to replace it with a Blade-Tech brand Tek-Lok belt attachment in order to ensure a more secure and reliable attachment to my belt.
Overall, the Cold Steel Kobun has been a reliable and versatile companion during my everyday activities. I would highly recommend it to anyone in need of a durable and efficient boot knife for both personal and practical use.

I recently got my hands on a Cold Steel SRK Compact fixed blade knife, and let me tell you, it's a game-changer for those seeking a reliable and stylish companion while on outdoor adventures. The knife features a compact handle & blade made of Kray-Ex & SK5, measuring in at just 12.5 cm (5 inches). Weighing only 145 grams, it's remarkably lightweight and effortless to carry around.
One thing that struck me is the sturdy Secure-Ex sheath it comes with – it's a fantastic addition! However, I did notice a few minor drawbacks. Firstly, the blade edges seemed a bit too uneven for my liking. Secondly, I'm not a big fan of the flex hanger option, but that's just personal preference.
Overall, I believe that the Cold Steel SRK Compact is a fantastic choice for outdoor enthusiasts. It's light, easy to carry, and offers great performance. Just make sure to sharpen it properly and maintain it well to enjoy its full potential.

Equipped with a full tang and integral steel pommel, the AK-47 Field Knife offers both functionality and durability. I've been using the Cold Steel San MAI Recon Tanto as my daily pocket knife for the past few months, and I must say, it's a fantastic blade. The handle is made of Black Kray-Ex, providing a solid grip with no rolling or twisting in the hand, even under heavy use. The knife measures 11.75 inches overall, with a blade length of 17.9 cm, making it perfect for various tasks.
One of the most impressive features of this Tanto is its blade, made of VG-10 San Mai Stainless Steel. The deep lustrous satin finish on the hollow ground blade bevels and the contrasting line grain finish on the blade flats emphasize the knife's unique appearance. The blade is razor sharp, and I haven't needed much maintenance, even after some heavy use.
Although it's not a "do-it-all" knife, the Cold Steel San MAI Recon Tanto is a great medium-sized Tanto. It's been through some rough use, and I'm glad to say it held up well. The knife comes with a thick, high-quality Secure-Ex sheath that has given me years of hard service, keeping my Tanto at my side. Overall, I highly recommend the Cold Steel San MAI Recon Tanto for its cutting capability, durability, and affordable price.

I've been using the Cold Steel FGX Wasp for a while now and it's quite the versatile and durable little knife. The serrated blade is perfect for tackling all kinds of cutting tasks, from rope to branches, and it's been a real lifesaver when I'm out in the woods.
One of the things I love most about this knife is its length. At 12.25 inches, it's long enough to handle a wide range of tasks, but not so long that it's cumbersome or difficult to control. And when I'm using it, I'm never worried about it breaking or wearing down, thanks to the high-strength, lightweight Griv-Ex material used in its construction.
Of course, no product is perfect and this knife is no exception. The blade has a dull edge, which means it's not great for everyday use or for any tasks that require a sharper edge. And while the black Griv-Ex construction adds to its sleek and stylish appearance, it's also made it a bit difficult to grip at times.
Overall, the Cold Steel FGX Wasp is a great knife for anyone who needs a reliable cutting tool for their outdoor adventures. It's lightweight, durable, and versatile, and it's definitely earned a spot in my gear bag.

This sleek little thing, perfect for self-defense, fits conveniently under any clothing, making it the ideal secret weapon (if you can keep it that way! ). It's so lightweight, you'll barely notice the half-pound heft, and the 4-inch blade is sharp as a tack – if you're not paying close attention, the edges might leave you astounded, your friends and family, that is.
Now, we all know that sharpness can sometimes come at a cost - durability. However, this knife's AUS 8A stainless steel blade seems to handle it all, remaining steady even after some of my more intense activities. The flat ground design does wonders against whatever material it clashes with.
The Secret Edge also includes a Secure-Ex sheath, a reliable retention system that's quick to access and deploy without compromising safety—perfect for those urgent moments. And it's equipped with a thin, flat faux G-10 handle, ergonomic enough to stay put in your hand while preventing any slippage or rolling. The three-hole design and aggressively textured surface ensure a grip like no other.
However, there are a few minor things that I've picked up on:
  1. The edge is only 3.5 inches long, despite the claim of a 3.5-inch blade length, which does diminish its cutting power.
  2. The product's description said it has no weight, but it actually weighs 3.2 ounces. It might seem negligible, but it makes a difference, especially over long periods of wear.
Overall, the Cold Steel Secret Edge 11SDT Knife has been a remarkable addition to my daily life. Its unassuming appearance, while still offering reliable functionality, makes it a top choice for those in need of a tactful self-defense tool.

🔗Classic Cold Steel Tanto Point Boot Knife

https://preview.redd.it/bfs3dmv1fq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1f692528d0f06b7b510feab444105a0dfc9f2ecf

🔗Compact and lightweight Cold Steel Peace Maker II knife

Recently, I've been trying out the Cold Steel Secret Edge 11SDT Knife, and let me tell you, it's been a game-changer.

🔗Cold Steel FGX Cat Tanto: Sleek and Impervious Serrated Knife

I remember the day I brought home my Cold Steel FGX Cat Tanto. The sleek black design and the promise of a lightweight yet durable knife piqued my curiosity. It was a perfect addition to my collection of self-defense tools, for those moments when you need to protect yourself and your loved ones.
The handle, made of Kraton, felt great in my hand, with its solid grip that remained unaffected by temperature and moisture. It was a great contrast to the Grivory blade finish, which made the knife look even more menacing. I loved how the tanto point blade shape gave a perfect balance between sharpness and durability.
However, it wasn't all roses. The Cold Steel FGX Cat Tanto felt a bit underwhelming when it came to cutting tasks. Its plastic blade just didn't have the same edge retention as a traditional steel blade, making it not ideal for more demanding tasks like cutting through thick materials.
Still, for the price and as a lightweight and corrosion-resistant self-defense tool, the Cold Steel FGX Cat Tanto has proven to be quite the handy piece. It's a unique addition to any collection, and it's been a great conversation starter among my friends and family.

🔗VG-1 San Mai 3 Stainless Steel Cold Steel Oss Hunting Knife with Kray-Ex Handle

🔗Highly Durable Cold Steel Bushman Knife for Survival Needs

https://preview.redd.it/xrshnvn3fq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=00990bc9468e36a30a12eaf3320a925af6afa3ae
Recently, I had the pleasure of using the Cold Steel Bushman Knife and let me tell you, my experience was quite an adventure. This knife, with its 7-inch blade made of SK-5 high carbon steel, proved to be a reliable companion on my outdoor excursions.
One of the standout features was its hollow handle, which was surprisingly versatile. I was able to store a few essentials inside, and with the right handle extensions, I could reach impressive lengths for certain tasks. The knife's unique construction allowed for a seamless blend of blade and handle, which gave it a solid, reliable feel.
However, there was one drawback to my experience: the sheath. While the Secure-Ex sheath featured a Ferrocerium Fire Steel, which was convenient for starting fires, it had a few issues. The locking mechanism was less than secure, making it prone to accidental release. It also lacked a left-handed option, which could be a dealbreaker for some users.
Despite these minor setbacks, the Cold Steel Bushman Knife proved to be a sturdy and practical tool for various outdoor activities. With its strong blade and adaptable handle, it was a reliable ally on my adventures. While the sheath could use some improvements, the knife itself more than made up for it.

🔗Cold Steel Trench Hawk Trainer - Practical, Durable, and Safe Tomahawk Training

When I got my hands on the Cold Steel Trench Hawk Trainer, I was immediately impressed by its size and weight. The synthetic material felt surprisingly sturdy and authentic, making it perfect for learning the ropes without the danger of injury.
Not to mention, it closely resembles the actual Trench Hawk, so every training session felt like a real-life scenario. However, the weight was noticeably lighter than the real deal, which might not be ideal for those looking for a more accurate experience.
Overall, the Trench Hawk Trainer provided a safe and effective way to hone my skills, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking to up their training game.

I recently tried out the Cold Steel Razor Tek, and I must say, it's a versatile and sturdy blade that has made quite an impact in my outdoor adventures. The 6.5" 5mm thick recurve blade is a powerful tool for those who need a reliable knife for larger tasks - it's perfect for chopping. The ergonomic and textured handle provides a comfortable grip that's suitable for any wilderness outing.
One feature that stood out to me is the secure-ex belt sheath, which holds the knife securely and makes it easy to access when needed. The 11.7 oz weight is manageable, allowing for long-term usage without causing fatigue. However, the knife's size and thickness might not be ideal for everyone, so it's essential to consider if it's suitable for your specific needs.
Overall, the Cold Steel Razor Tek is a well-crafted blade that would be an excellent addition to any outdoor enthusiast's arsenal. The 4116 stainless steel and the black Gfn handle make it a reliable and stylish choice. While it may not be the cheapest option on the market, the Razor Tek's quality and durability make it a worthwhile investment for those looking for a dependable cutting tool.

I recently got my hands on the Cold Steel Commercial Series Chef's Knife, and I must say, it has been a game-changer in my daily life. The knife's razor-sharp cryo-quenched German 4116 steel not only makes cutting vegetables and meat a breeze but also re-sharpening is a breeze in the field.
The handle, featuring a stiff Zy-Ex core for durability and a non-slip Kray-Ex exterior, provides a comfortable grip for hours of use. This knife has become a staple in my kitchen, and I find myself reaching for it every time I need to chop anything.
However, one downside I've noticed is the build quality. The knife I received had a small gap between the handle and the blade, which might pose a hygiene problem when used for meat and fish. But overall, it's a fantastic kitchen knife for the price, and I highly recommend it for everyday use.

The Cold Steel Kitchen Classics Chef Knife has been a lifesaver in my daily kitchen tasks. The 8-inch blade is incredibly sharp and holds its edge well, making it perfect for everything from slicing through tomatoes to chopping up a variety of fruits and veggies. The handle is also quite comfortable to grip, providing a secure and solid hold.
One of the highlights of this knife is its German 4116 stainless cryo-quenched material, which ensures the blade remains sharp and durable. I especially enjoyed the terrific stiff Zy-Ex core and the softer, deeply checkered Kray-Ex exterior handle for a non-slip grip. This knife has been my go-to in the kitchen, and I appreciate its reasonable price tag.
However, there was one downside: the grip started to peel and break after about two years of use. Nonetheless, this knife truly stands out for its superb sharpness, comfort, and durability.

I recently had the pleasure of using the Cold Steel 39LSSS OSI Tactical Gear during a few camping trips. This knife truly shines when it comes to cutting and slashing through tough materials. The blade's thin ultra-keen edge is a testament to its impressive performance.
One of the standout features of this knife is its Secure-Ex Sheath, which keeps it safely tucked away when not in use. The Japanese AUS 8A Stainless Steel blade lends a sense of durability and reliability, perfect for those who need a versatile and effective blade in their daily life.
However, there are a couple of minor drawbacks worth mentioning. The handle/guard is a bit flexible, which may not be ideal for heavy-duty tasks. Additionally, some users have found it a bit challenging to remove the knife from the Secure-Ex Sheath.
Despite these minor drawbacks, the Cold Steel 39LSSS OSI Tactical Gear has proven to be a reliable and effective companion on my camping trips. As a home chef, I've always been on the lookout for affordable yet high-quality knives. That's when I stumbled upon the Cold Steel Commercial Series Butcher Knife 8.0 in Blade. Impressed by the sharpness and durability of the blade upon first use, I knew that this knife could handle any heavy-duty task in my kitchen.
One of the features that stood out to me is the ergonomic design of the handle. The Zy-Ex core adds rigidity, while the softer, food-safe Kray-Ex exterior provides a comfortable, non-slip grip. After hours of chopping vegetables and cutting meat, my hand never felt tired or overwhelmed. This is truly a game-changer when it comes to kitchen knives.
However, the blade is quite heavy, which requires a certain level of force to wield effectively. For those with weaker hands or for tasks that don't require much pressure, this may be an issue. But, in my experience, the weight has been a welcome addition to the overall power of the knife.
When it comes to sharpening, the cryo-quenched German 4116 Steel holds an edge remarkably well. I've used it extensively without any significant blade degradation. The knives also do not rust easily, a crucial factor when dealing with raw meat or wet conditions.
Overall, the Cold Steel Commercial Series Butcher Knife 8.0 in Blade has proven to be a reliable addition to my kitchen arsenal. Its sharpness, durability, and robustness make it a worthwhile investment for both home cooks and professionals alike.

🔗Double Agent II by Cold Steel: The Ultimate Special Forces Knife

https://preview.redd.it/gptfvc18dq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fbf487b6f81e04dd893a5de62fcfc08a5d25fb11
The Cold Steel Double Agent II, designed by Zach Whitson, is a versatile and portable knife that is perfect for urban carry.

🔗SK-5 High Carbon Cold Steel - Chaos Double Edge Knife

https://preview.redd.it/rn7uf0h8dq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=81a758bcd517b189066a27d5689cba5fbfcc38f3

🔗Classic Cold Steel Tanto Point Boot Knife

https://preview.redd.it/07rsmiu8dq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d6fef281ce08ec39dbe70f08c98702273638422b

🔗Cold Steel Click-N-Cut Slock Master Folding Hunter Lockback Knife with Security Sheath and Extra Blades.

https://preview.redd.it/jnl8v0f9dq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7a15a657f6c6450b40100d49c6f54b4e9a5d9989
I've been using the Cold Steel Click-N-Cut Hunter Lockback Knife for a few months now, and I have to say, it's been a lifesaver. The knife's design is sleek and durable, with a sturdy Griv-Ex handle that provides a comfortable grip. The locking mechanism on the blade makes it incredibly secure and safe to use, even for the most demanding tasks.
I particularly love the ability to click and switch between blades with the push of a button. It's a game-changer when it comes to versatility, ensuring I'm always equipped for any job at hand. The sheath is also a great addition, providing a secure way to carry the knife and extra blades when needed.
That being said, there is one aspect I'd like to see improved: the handle's construction. While it provides a good grip, the finish is quite rough and not as premium as I would have hoped for. However, this minor critique does not deter me from fully recommending the Cold Steel Click-N-Cut Hunter Lockback Knife for both beginners and seasoned professionals alike.

🔗Compact Fixed Blade Knife with Black Handle

https://preview.redd.it/86qa8xr9dq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=733a6a3032a4fdb48fb300d85309727e2f9e886d

🔗Stylish and durable AK-47 Field Knife by Cold Steel

https://preview.redd.it/20ehn67adq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=659d6dde0e611eac48716798f59c199a4b907679
While this knife may not be ideal for all situations, those who value rugged reliability will appreciate its toughness and versatility.

🔗San MAI Recon Tanto Sas Knife - High-Quality VG-10 Stainless Steel Blade with Kray-Ex Handle

https://preview.redd.it/eeiz7eiadq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=52bca7c9f29c536da4ddc73640b7bb353be9e97b

🔗Affordable and Portable Secure-Ex Neck Sheath Knife

https://preview.redd.it/m4z65axadq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a0d387d95d0edeb0ae85e9ad0bdb7f989f0a81e6
The Cold Steel 49NDE Hide Out is a versatile neck knife that I've been using daily for a while now and it has never failed to impress. One of the features that stood out to me is its lightweight design, weighing only 1.9oz. It's perfect for those who want a discreet yet effective self-defense tool. The blade is made of Japanese Aus 8A Stainless Steel, giving it an impressive edge sharpness and durability. The double-edged blade is Scandi ground, ensuring a strong and sharp tip, which is especially useful when you need it most.
The Hide Out's handle is made of Kray-Ex, a weather-proof material that provides a great grip and security, even when your hands are wet. It's thin and flat, designed to give me a superior purchase on such a small, lightweight knife. The Secure-Ex sheath and bead chain lanyard make it easy to wear and carry around all day, while the knife itself remains concealed.
However, there are a few drawbacks I've noticed. The AUS 8 steel can rust if not properly maintained, especially if you're using it as a neck knife. The blade scratches easily, making it less visually appealing over time. The bead chain necklace is quite stiff and can sometimes catch on clothes or other objects, making it slightly uncomfortable. Despite these minor issues, I've found the Cold Steel 49NDE Hide Out to be a reliable and effective neck knife that's perfect for those who need a reliable self-defense tool.

🔗Slim and Effective Steel Surveillance Knife for Self-Defense

https://preview.redd.it/bfhidxcbdq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=39f0edb318f01dcc0494c436ae6acd3aa5ddb99e
Recently, I've been trying out the Cold Steel Secret Edge 11SDT Knife, and let me tell you, it's been a game-changer.

🔗Cold Steel FGX Cat Tanto: Sleek and Impervious Serrated Knife

https://preview.redd.it/r1emheubdq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=061444a3e17ee732965bc1bddb2bac5e60d89332

🔗Lightweight Miniature Cold Steel Super Edge Knife

The Super Edge is the ultimate keychain companion for any adventurous spirit. With its sleek design and razor-sharp blade, this little powerhouse can take on any task thrown at it. Whether you're taming a wild zipper or cutting through a tough piece of rope, the Super Edge never disappoints.
Its lightweight construction and secure sheath make it a discreet and convenient carry option, ensuring you're prepared for any situation. While its diminutive size may fool some, never underestimate the capabilities of this impressive workhorse.
The Super Edge has proven itself as a reliable tool in the hands of users, earning its stellar reputation as one of the best keychain knives on the market.

🔗Heavy-Duty, Comfortable Cold Steel Kitchen Knife

🔗Dependable Tanto SAS Knife with Polypropylene Handle

https://preview.redd.it/9q03oi37bq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7cef16362d808909dc6e2d2a8d76861057cabf95

🔗SK-5 High Carbon Cold Steel - Chaos Double Edge Knife

https://preview.redd.it/dsxhqrg7bq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2c11baf5b98a6d4d1484fd61604b203ac40a7541
One day, I found myself in a situation where I needed a reliable and sturdy knife.

🔗San MAI Recon Tanto Sas Knife - High-Quality VG-10 Stainless Steel Blade with Kray-Ex Handle

https://preview.redd.it/f4qqtn08bq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f93c83150eccc01fc361e212cb80f748bdb5a332
I've been using the Cold Steel San MAI Recon Tanto as my daily pocket knife for the past few months, and I must say, it's a fantastic blade.

🔗Perfectly Designed Counter TAC Boot Knife for Ultimate Functionality

https://preview.redd.it/zr5t86a8bq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=570dd9c60c90b16ea927ed7e82b504ad97660e4a
While the world of boot knives can be crowded, Cold Steel's Counter TAC I outshines its competitors. Its sharp, AUS 8A full-tang blade is a testament to top-notch quality, but one standout feature that really caught my attention is the vacuum heat treatment and sub-zero quenching for added strength and durability.
Designed with the philosophy of functionality at heart, its compact construction feels just as comfortable in tight boots as on a belt or holster. The handle, finished in a sleek black, fits comfortably in the hand and provides a firm grip in even the most high-pressure situations.
With the Counter TAC I, there's no compromise on utility. Its purpose-built design ensures that it's as adaptable as it is versatile, allowing both pros and novices to appreciate its efficiency in a range of situations.
However, no product is perfect, and this one isn't an exception either. While the knife excels at what it does, one could argue that its performance comes at the cost of a slightly heavier handle. Nevertheless, given its exceptional capabilities, it's a small price to pay.
Despite a few minor drawbacks, the Counter TAC I by Cold Steel is a robust, reliable, and highly functional boot knife that's well worth its investment. With a wide array of features that have garnered praise from users, this knife makes a compelling contender in the boot knives category.

🔗VG-1 San Mai 3 Stainless Steel Cold Steel Oss Hunting Knife with Kray-Ex Handle

https://preview.redd.it/vzyhp1r8bq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=27033da80a9f4f9bf62417865b2b6a2f1ad3d94b

🔗Highly Durable Cold Steel Bushman Knife for Survival Needs

https://preview.redd.it/d5goqm69bq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=014c0da5049081bbbc40541cf9ccc91a0d7ebd5a
Recently, I had the pleasure of using the Cold Steel Bushman Knife and let me tell you, my experience was quite an adventure.

🔗Cold Steel Oss Scimitar Knife for Commercial Uses

https://preview.redd.it/wc452lq9bq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=42db8041dce2d950ba562be12a1e9aa1b00d6f33
The Cold Steel Commercial Series Scimitar Knife has truly become an indispensable addition to my daily life, thanks to its remarkable design and unmatched quality. This Taiwanese-made knife is perfect for all sorts of tasks, from hunting and fishing to commercial kitchens and butcher shops. The 10-inch blade, made from premium cryo-quenched German 4116 Steel, is incredibly sharp and re-sharpenable.
Its durable handle, featuring a stiff Zy-Ex core and a comfortable non-slip grip made from Kray-Ex, is a game-changer for long hours of usage. The knife's satin finish gives it a sleek look, and its overall length of 15.25 inches offers ample reach for an array of applications.
My experience with this knife has been nothing short of fantastic, and I highly recommend it to anyone who values versatility, durability, and quality.

🔗Cold Steel Recon Hawk - Versatile Outdoor Survival Tool

https://preview.redd.it/0otj3s5abq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=43980db54f2c9cadc067cae1d288756eeb3a5d86
I recently got my hands on the Cold Steel Recon Hawk, and let me tell you, it's a beauty! This tomahawk boasts a 5mm thick leaf made of 65 m carbon steel, giving it a robust and sturdy feel. The 24 oz weight distribution adds a perfect balance that makes throwing it a breeze.
Its 17 1/2 inch length comes with a comfortable 9 1/2 inch nylon wrapping handle, making it easy to grip and wield. The single-piece design, crafted by custom knifemaker Andrew Demko, ensures durability and strength. The axe also comes with a detachable articulated sheath that offers protection from the sharp edge.
While I really like the balance and durability of this Cold Steel Recon Hawk, I've noticed that the hollow ground edge can be a bit fragile. It doesn't stick as well as some other throwing tomahawks. However, the balance and heft make up for it, and the axe is great for survival, escape and evasion scenarios or just a day of outdoor fun. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, well-balanced tomahawk.

🔗High-Quality Cpm-3V Carbon Steel Drop Forged Survivalist Knife (Stonewash Finish)

https://preview.redd.it/p9qga1habq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=94040652b5f025bf9b8ff0c55133a058919fd290
The Cold Steel 3V Master Hunter, with its stone wash finish (36CB), is a fantastic upgrade to the classic design. With an extra broad American CPM3-V High Carbon Steel blade that can hold a razor-sharp edge, this knife definitely stands out in the crowd. It's not just sharp - it's also incredibly durable, handling tasks from cutting power cords to field dressing large game with ease. Its comfortable Kray-Ex handle provides a non-slip grip, even in wet or sticky conditions.
However, there are a couple of drawbacks. The Secure-Ex case, while functional, might not be the most durable option. Additionally, it's worth considering an alternative sheath, such as leather or Kydex, to prevent dulling the edge or damage to the knife. Nonetheless, the Cold Steel 3V Master Hunter (36CB) still delivers a satisfying hunting and camping experience, making it a top choice for those who appreciate a versatile and reliable tool in the field.

🔗Cold Steel Master Tanto Fixed Blade Knife with Kraton Handle

https://preview.redd.it/zg2rsosabq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b7b39f7c5baafe2e48dc482ec436bd1726222c86
I recently had the chance to put the Cold Steel Master Tanto 3V to the test, and I must say, it was quite the experience. This knife is a true gem, with a deep lustrous satin finish on the hollow ground blade bevels that really accentuates its unique appearance. The contrasting line grain finish on the blade flats sets it apart from other Tantos and highlights Cold Steel's state-of-the-art grinding methods.
In terms of usability, the flattened oval Kraton handle provides a solid grip, and it won't roll or twist in your hand even under intense use. Kraton is a fantastic space-age material that won't crack or rot, and it's immune to the effects of bad weather. This means that you can take your Master Tanto 3V on all sorts of adventures without worrying about its durability or its ability to stand up to the elements.
The 6" Tanto blade has a thickness of 0.188", which is perfect for a wide range of tasks. It's a versatile knife that can handle everything from slicing through meat to cutting your way through the wilderness. And with an overall length of 11.5", it's the ideal size for everyday carry or for bringing along on your camping trips.
Overall, the Cold Steel Master Tanto 3V is a fantastic knife that's well worth the investment. Its high-quality materials, unique appearance, and reliability make it a standout choice for anyone in the market for a new Tanto blade.

🔗Cold Steel Canadian Belt Knife: A High-Quality Fixed Blade for Ultimate Penetration and Precision

https://preview.redd.it/ursdzjbbbq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fe5059aa9a277300a99e4e3fae5c520d180d86ce
This classic sub-hilt knife, with a 4.5-inch VG-10 San MAI clip point blade, offers incredible reach and penetration. The black G-10 handle provides a perfect balance, allowing for easy blade movement.
The knife's overall length of 13.25 inches and satin finish make it a beautiful addition to any collection. The sheath is secure but may dull the blade over time.

🔗Cold Steel CS88BK-BRK Katana Warrior Series: Tactical Japanese Sword

https://preview.redd.it/s7nsojjbbq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2ef58b1455c46023880979108ddc48a01bf486d0

Living in an era where technology and practicality reign supreme, I was surprised to come across the Katana Warrior Series, an authentic and beautifully crafted replica of a traditional Japanese sword. This Tactical Katana, made from high carbon steel with a thickness of almost 1/4 of an inch, is truly reminiscent of the intricately designed blades that have been passed down through the ages.
What stood out from my experience with the product was not only its superb quality, but its impressive overall length of forty inches. This means that it can be not only an imposing decorative piece in any living space, but also a convenient accessory for various reenactments such as historical events or cosplay events, where the realism matters a lot.
However, the only drawback I can think of is its manufacturing location - the U. S. may be the preferred and trusted location for crafting such traditional items, but its manufacturing in China could pose potential doubts about its authentic craftsmanship. Other than that, the Katana Warrior Series is a truly valuable buy that gives a taste of the richness of Japanese culture without the hefty tag usually associated with genuine swords.

Authenticity

If you're looking for an accurate representation of a historical Claymore, consider the authenticity of the sword you're considering. 2024.05.21 08:51 AnxiousAd7056 34 Year Male here - seeking advice.

KARACHI
I'm a typical, unemployed, middle-aged Pakistani. (34 years old) I was a banker for sometime but during the first wave of corona in 2020, I lost my job. Since then I'm mostly unemployed for almost 3.5 years now.
It's not like I don't wanna work but it is that I can't find work. My Spouse has left me. Father passed away 10 years ago. Mother's Pension and younger brother's salary is keeping the kitchen and circle alive which is getting harder day by day. May daily routine is to get up, I don't get any breakfast but there's none left for me. get suited in a couple of office pants and shirts that I still own, go to different offices and drop my CVs, some sympethize, some flat out refuse and even redicule that you're now a 34 year old male. You should of been a tycoon by now.
No one respects me. No one remembers me in gatherings. No one bothers to call or invite me during family functions.
My own mother hates and despises me because I'm a constant source of shame for her ever since I was born. Things I hear on daily basis are, kaash mein marr jati to tu na hota aj mjhe zaleel krny keliye, ya phir hazaron khawateen zachgi k doran marr jati hain, kaash mein bhi un me se 1 hoti, teri paas job nai to to aisa kr k kisi flyover ya high tension electricity pole pr charh ja or ehtjaj kr, koi na koi politician aye ga, apni publicity k bahany hi sahi, tujhe nechy utarwaey ga, photo wagera banwaye ga or nokri deny k wada kr k chala jye ga. Khakrob ya sweeper ki nokri bhi dy to kr le bas meri jaan chor dy.
I've been struggling with anxiety and depression ever since I was 18, (so for almost half of my life, I've been stressed, depressed and battling with anxiety). I tried to h**g myself on a couple of occasions due to severe anxiety but my mother and wife were always able to intervene at the right time. But Level of despise has gained such heights that my mother says kaash hum tujhe us time jhoolny dety. When I say k jab me la-ilm hoon to mery khany me poison daal dena. to mother boli k beta dil to boht chahta ha but police ayegi to pehla shak ham per hi jye ga. for the record she's my biological, sagi mother. Kehti hain, nokri nahi milti to bheek hi maang ly but kisi trah meri jaan chor dy.
My spouse had remain faithful for a couple of years after I lost my job but she left when she saw that he's getting over aged and not gonna get a decent job. We have no kids so it was easier for her to leave. Her family as well as mine, supported her decision.
I haven't received much milestones in Educational or Career wise.
I have a lot of gaps in my education and career, which every one notinces in an instant while scruitining or perusing my C.V.
I've been rejected from many places for being OVER AGED or not having too much experience.
For some time I felt shame, that I don't want to be a Food panda rider or courier guy, INdrive, careem, bykea captain but now I'm considering everything.
Can't get a license due to weak eyesigt and licence is must to get registered on any app. Bought a bike on installments and half of them are still remaining so I can't use those documents to get registered on apps either.
Little savings I had, I tried rickshaw driving but couldn't because of frequent challans by Traffic Wardens and degrading behaviorude remarks of pessengers and passersby because ricksshaw walas are considered subhumans.
I've also tried selling sabzi, corn soup, gol gappas, dahi ballas, ice cream cycle (according to the season) but got always cheated. either because of my inexperience or me being too SIMPLE and Bahir Ki dunia being bahir ki dunia, dog eating dog world.
I've also tried freelancing, but aaj ki dunia mein ya lafz mjhe gaali lagta ha, jab koi pochy kia kr rhy ho, or koi agy se boly online work krta hoon to agla yahi samajhta ha k VELA ha.
Tried my hands in Private schooling but couldn't get a job due to social anxiety, low confidence and self esteem.
Tried Day Trading as well as options trading, thinking that I can atleast make the amount equal to my monthly salary to keep my kitchen and circle flowing but after losing almost 35 k in it, I said to myself, k people are right k ye juwa ha.

Freelancing keliye grinding se mjhe both khouf ata ha. proposals likhty howy lafz mery samny nachny lagty hain. apny room me akela betha hoa hoon to mjhe ajeeb ajeeb mayoosi waly khayal aty hain
My kai baar apny sagy behn bhai se request kr chuka hoon k choti moti job dila do, woh kehty hain k bhai tera masla ha. Mera chota bhai mjh per haath bhi utha chuka ha.
due to lack of funds, I don't groom myself much so I look like a jawari, nashai, jahaaz most of the time. when I go to an office, guards won't even let me in k bhikari andar allowed ni.
Pichly 5 saal se sleeping pills le kr so rha hoon. Pehly bhai la deta tha but ab nahi kyun k wo bolta ha mehngai boht hai, me afford ni kr skta.
day before yesterday, I made a fake prescription and bought some 6 or 7 brands of sl**ping pills.
I'm planning on taking them all at once and ending it once and for all.
I remember reading the story of a writer who was overwhelmed by despair and decided to end his own life. Feeling utterly hopeless, he left his home and went for a long walk, contemplating his decision. As he walked, he made a solemn vow to himself: if he encountered even one person who was genuinely smiling, he would reconsider his decision to end his life.
The writer walked for what felt like hours, passing countless people along the way. But despite his search, he couldn't find a single person who appeared genuinely happy or content. Disheartened, he concluded that there was no joy left in the world, no reason to continue living.
With a heavy heart, the writer returned home, his resolve to end his life firm. He took the final steps to carry out his decision, feeling utterly alone and abandoned by the world.
This, in no way, is plea for bheek or charity or attiyat or donations or KHUDA keliye mjhe kaam per rakh lo ya job dila do. Kyun k ye ghar ghar ki kahani ha but Mjhe samajh hi nahi arha k kia kron. to ye kaam asaan lag rha ha.

2024.05.21 08:40 joittine Slice is a more difficult stroke than topspin backhand - and inferior as well

There was a recent post https://www.reddit.com/10s/comments/1cwrvum/can_someone_explain_why_coaches_pretend_slices/ where many comments to the question on the topic line was that coaches don't teach the backhand slice early on because slicing is so easy that people will never bother learning a topspin backhand if they are taught the slice first.
For starters, tennis is a game where you're supposed to win. If there was a stroke that's both easier to pull off and more difficult to beat, but the coach refused to teach me that, I'd fire the coach on the spot. But if there is one, it's going to be the two-handed topspin backhand, not slice. Scope definition: neutral baseline rally; not talking about drop shots or volleys.
Point 1: Slicing isn't easier. Sure, a weak slice hit with an open face is easy to get across - arguably it is easier than hitting a topspin backhand. But it's also suicide - it's slow, it's high, it's short, so even with the worst footwork in the world your opponent can attack it and probably win the point easily. This was the one thing from which I was able to win points against casual players who had played for years when I was like 2 months into tennis.
There are all sorts of slices between that and a properly knifed slice that lands deep and stays low after the bounce. But, slice is the opposite of topspin - instead of air pushing it down thanks to the spin, it floats. And net clearance is narrower. The margin for error is much smaller than with topspin, or even with a completely flat stroke. While a good slice is hard to attack, you are not the only one who will have more time because of the slower ball. Which brings us to...
Point 2: Slicing isn't "better". It's a good defensive option, not allowing your opponent to hit with much power since they can't use the pace of your shot. Ruusuvuori is one of the best ball strikers on tour, and has been destroyed with the slice several times (Dimitrov did this, I think three times over a short period last spring/summer, and so did Griekspoor at Rotterdam this year). His game is based on excellent rallying, he gets to the ball often and hits an immensely heavy ball incredibly cleanly (he's had a difficult year with illness and such, but yesterday his stats vs. Giron were 21 winners and just 3 UE in a 63 63 win). But deep, low slices were a problem because he wasn't able to rally with that kind of power. So, you can frustrate your opponent, make them do mistakes.
But the response to a slice is often another slice. Slices rarely settle anything (apart from drop shots or volleys which, again, we're not discussing), so there is a very low limit to what you can do with a slice. Either you're going into a slicefest where you both just float balls in until someone makes a mistake and the other pounces on it. Which is to say, if you want to slice your way to victory, you had better had a damn good slice AND the ability to turn a slightly mistaken slice into attack with e.g. inside-out forehand. And you need to be able to chase the ball if the opponent decides to change directions without that much power.
It might be worth saying that I love slice. I love groundstroke slice, I love slice serve, I love volleys and drop shots. I even posted a question at some point, asking whether you need a topspin backhand for anything. The answer is, no your don't - it will limit your game if you don't have one, but people have reached the highest level of the game while limiting their backhand game almost exclusively to a slice (such as Steve Johnson, career high of ATP-21).
The idea that people would stick with just a slice because "it's ok" makes no sense at all. I mean, sure, there are casual players who do that with every type of a stroke - waiter's tray serve is easy for them, so they only use that? Yes, those people exist. But it's not something a coach can magically change. If it's ok for them to have a weak serve, or limiting their options with a backhand to the slice, so what? If, on the other hand, they want to learn to become better players, they most likely won't limit themselves to a slice even if it's easier during the first few months of their tennis career.
