2024.05.21 19:32 Maverickx25 I threw my vape away. Need some words of encouragement.

I've smoked regularly since high school (2004-2008) and was able to consistently quit cold turkey, and would start up again sporadically. In 2010, I switched to my first electronic cigarette. Quit after a year, then started smoking again about 3 years later in 2016, 2017. In 2018, I switched to Juul and Alto, and have used vapes since (now 34).
During this time, my weight fluctuated like crazy. 265 at my heaviest in from about 2013 - 2018, and then 220 at my lowest in 2019. Started gaining weight incrementally during Covid having switched from a retail job to office job (and work from home during Covid). Between not being as active, and a slew of medical issues, including COVID once, I'm now sitting at 245. I've continued vaping from stress at my job and the aforementioned health issues.
After about 8 months of having switched to an office job that is almost stress free, I've slowly moved my way down from 5% salt nic to a 2.5% freebase juice. I told myself that once I ran out of the next bottle, I'd quit, and as of now, I threw out my vape (here at work, so I wouldn't be tempted at home).
I really just need words of encouragement and advice. This is the longest unbroken amount of time since I've been nicotine free, and I'm upset thinking about gaining all my weight back, and the withdrawal symptoms.
Thank you in advance. I want to make this stick.

Why nightmares and ‘daymares’ could be early warning signs of autoimmune disease

An increase in nightmares and hallucinations—or ‘daymares’—could herald the onset of autoimmune diseases such as lupus, say an international team led by researchers at the University of Cambridge and King’s College London. The researchers argue that there must be greater recognition that these types of mental health and neurological symptoms can act as an early warning sign that an individual is approaching a “flare,” where their disease worsens for a period.
5-20-2024 Yoga and meditation-induced altered states of consciousness are common in the general population, study says
Yoga, mindfulness, meditation, breathwork, and other practices are gaining in popularity due to their potential to improve health and well-being. The effects of these practices are mostly positive and occasionally transformational, yet they are known to sometimes be associated with challenging altered states of consciousness. New research by a team including investigators from Massachusetts General Hospital reveals that altered states of consciousness associated with meditation practice are far more common than expected. Although many people reported positive outcomes, that were sometimes even considered transformational, from these experiences, for a substantial

5-20-2024 How are asthma and heart health linked?
Although the heart and lungs are neighbors in your chest, people may think of them as separate entities with unrelated problems. But a growing body of evidence suggests that asthma—one of the most common lung disorders—is a risk factor for cardiovascular disease. Asthma is a serious chronic disease in which airways are inflamed, often in response to specific triggers. It affects about 25 million people in the U.S., including nearly 5 million children, causing millions of annual visits to doctors’ offices and emergency rooms. “We call these major changes

2024.05.21 18:48 040502702142621 A small proof of concept to stop cigarette smoke from your neighbours

A small proof of concept to stop cigarette smoke from your neighbours
If you stay in an apartment and your neighbour smokes, some of that cigarette smoke may find its way into your house. This is not ideal. To fight this problem, I propose an automatic window closing system triggered by cigarette smoke. In particular, it is triggered by a spike in particulate matter concentration. This works because cigarette smoke is known to contain a large amount of particulate matter and volatile organic compounds. (See: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6352107/#:~:text=They%20found%20that%20the%20most,µm%20sized%20particles%20%5B57%5D.))

Demonstration

https://reddit.com/link/1cxciva/video/vdscdqdr6t1d1/player
You can see the Arduino, sensor, and motor driver hanging haphazardly on the left side of the video.

Does it really work?

Yes somewhat. Currently, if you smell cigarette smoke in your apartment, it would be too late to close your windows. If you close your windows, the cigarette smoke would be trapped in the house with you. If you don't, the cigarette smoke gets stronger and stronger. With this new set-up, the window completely closes within 30-45 seconds of the start of the event. This protects your apartment from the bulk of the wave that follows.
https://preview.redd.it/2eth9bws6t1d1.png?width=1686&format=png&auto=webp&s=20ab7175f461a1704ae7fc8045586fbe8b4d483a
The 30-45 seconds is not a hard limit. It's due to:
  • Poor sensor placement due to the a limit on how long the data cables could be
  • Insufficiently sensitive algorithm to differentiate between noise and an actual smoke event
  • Unoptimal speed of actuator (running at 60-70% of maximum currently) to close the windows due to an inefficient motor driver. With the entire setup optimised, the response time should be as short as 12-15 seconds (from start of event to complete window closure). Nonetheless, at the moment, the proof of concept demonstrates that it should work.
The rest of this post would be dedicated to a technical description.

High Level idea

https://preview.redd.it/hnlos2cu6t1d1.png?width=1630&format=png&auto=webp&s=cd1e14cfbf5575d9d5dd2aeb433018dee83f3f91
  1. The particulate sensor continuously monitors particulate concentrations and feeds it to a microcontroller.
  2. The microcontroller receives the data and uses an algorithm to determine when there is a spike. When a spike is detected, the microcontroller sends a signal to the motor driver.
  3. The motor driver selects the speed and the direction of the motor in the actuator.
  4. The actuator closes the window.

Low level implementation

An overview of the physical setup is as follows:
https://preview.redd.it/kj5e6k1w6t1d1.png?width=2184&format=png&auto=webp&s=8b084d8efad34b799d569229f0a39bc4513e670c

Particulate Sensor

The particulate sensor is an Adafruit PMSA0003I sensor, mounted on an Adafruit breakout board, that detects particulate matter using an in-built laser. The particles are measured according to binned particulate sizes. For our case, we considered the smallest bin (0.3-1.0μm) because we observed the biggest spike in this interval. The sensor was programmed to take readings every 3 seconds. This is acceptable because the single-response time for the sensor is ≤1 second and it is not too unreasonably slow to detect spikes in readings. These readings were then sent to an Arduino MKR Wifi 1010 Microcontroller.
We remark that the particulate sensor requires 5V to be powered. For power and data communications, we connected the breakout board to an Arduino MKR Wifi 1010 via a Stemma QT cable (see: https://www.mouser.sg/ProductDetail/Adafruit/4209?qs=PzGy0jfpSMvCXPIwCvMoFg%3D%3D). The connection details are detailed here https://learn.adafruit.com/pmsa003i/arduino.

Microcontroller

The Arduino MKR Wifi 1010 microcontroller receives sensor data and translates that to signal data. If we take a look at the incoming data, it is extremely noisy. To smooth out the noise, we applied a Kalman filter. See https://www.cs.unc.edu/~welch/media/pdf/kalman_intro.pdf for more details. Within a short interval, we expect the sensor data to be roughly constant. The Kalman filter was designed under this assumption. Upon applying the Kalman filter, we shall take it as the 'ground truth'.
When we observed the data over time, we observe sharp spikes. These spikes correspond to two different pollution sources: incense and cigarette smoke. Incense burns slowly over time so the spike lasts for a few hours. On the other hand, cigarette smoke is characterised by a sharp spike of about 10-15 minutes in duration.
Regardless of the source, we want to close the window whenever a spike is detected. To do this, a lagging baseline is taken. We define the baseline at a point in time as the median value of the 'ground truth' values in a five minute window. This corresponds to data that is 5-10 minutes old. If at any moment the positive difference between the 'ground truth' and the baseline is larger than the 98.5th percentile of the distribution, we trigger the actuator. The trigger works by sending a LOW/HIGH signal to the Motor Driver.
Why 98.5th percentile? It just seems to work. Choosing a smaller percentile like 97th percentile leads to more false positive window closures (maybe not a bad thing) whereas choosing a larger percentile leads to much slower response times.

Actuator and Motor Driver

The inexpensive L298N bridge serves as a motor driver. The bridge helps us to control the speed (but it is not important here since we just want it go to at maximum speed) and the direction. The direction is controlled by a LOW/HIGH signal from the Arduino. To swap the direction, we simply flip the signals and send a HIGH/LOW signal instead.
The Hakiwo 12V Linear Actuator was purchased off Aliexpress and has a power rating of 20W and a rated speed speed of 100mm/s. This sounds pretty good on paper as the sliding window would close in 7 seconds. However, in practice, the speed when:
  1. directly connecting the actuator to a 12V DC Power Supply is about ±85-90mm/s.
  2. connected to a 12V DC Power Supply via the L298N bridge is about ±58mm/s. The significant difference in speed could be attributed to the voltage drop incurred by the L298N bridge. It was stated that when 12V is supplied to L298N bridge, only 10V actually reaches the motor. Hence, the massive heatsink to dissipate the heat. See https://howtomechatronics.com/tutorials/arduino/arduino-dc-motor-control-tutorial-l298n-pwm-h-bridge/.

Logging

We want to log the data and be able to have convenient access to the data. To do so, we connected the Arduino MKR Wifi 1010 to AWS IoT Core service. Subsequently, we routed messages sent from AWS IoT Core to AWS Timestream which is basically a database. To visualise the data, we sent it to AWS-managed Grafana.
See https://docs.arduino.cc/tutorials/opta/getting-started-with-aws-iot-core/ on how to set it up.

Algorithm Design

After logging the data into AWS Timestream, we would like to load the data on my personal computer to design the algorithm. We unloaded it to AWS S3 and downloaded the archive file. We used Julia on an .ipynb instance. Julia because it's faster than Python. Upon designing and verifying the algorithm on past data, it is then translated into C++ for uploading to the Arduino.
Algorithm Subplots Check The plot generated above is used for us to visually inspect the effectiveness of the algorithm. Visually, the spikes are all protected (actuators are activated throughout the duration of a cigarette smoke event). Although it's not that effective with the incense pollution but that's not a problem for us at the moment.

To take note

  • The Arduino MKR Wifi 1010 Wifi chip is really weak. My empirical observations was if the Wifi signal is less than -60dBm, you would not be able to reliably connect to your router.
  • When the Ardunio is powered by a USB connection and the Adafruit PMSA0003I particulate sensor is powered from the Arduino, there would not be enough power to boot both the Arduino and the sensor when first connected to the power supply. To fix this, the 5V wire of the stemma qt cable is disconnected when the Arduino is powered. Once the CHRG light on the Arduino has stopped blinking, we reconnect the wire.
  • If the Arduino and sensor are powered separately, it does not work either. I don't know why.

Total Cost

  • SGD65 - Sensor (Mouser)
  • SGD50 - Arduino (Mouser)
  • SGD70 - Actuator (Aliexpress)
  • SGD2 - L298N bridge (Shopee)
  • SGD10 - Mounting tapes (Hardware shops)
  • SGD1/mth - AWS

Future improvements

  1. Lower Cost - The current cost is about SGD200. However it can be reduced further by switching to ESP32s. If there is sufficient demand for mass production, unit prices for the electronics would be 5-20% lower and custom PCBs would allow us to avoid the premium associated with breakout boards.
  2. Better Motor Driver - The current L298N bridge is too inefficient and too bulky. It retards the actuator too much. Additionally, if the actuator were to upgraded to a higher speed actuator which requires 5A of current, the L298N would be unsuitable.
  3. Better spike trigger algorithm - The current algorithm still takes about 10-30 seconds from start of smoking to full window closure. If the algorithm is too sensitive, then it is prone to triggering sometimes by noise. If the algorithm is too insensitive, then too much cigarette smoke would enter the apartment before getting triggered.
  4. Cheaper microcontroller - The Arduino MKR Wifi 1010 microcontroller is fairly expensive at about 39 USD. Since ESP32s are inexpensive and they have an efficient protocol (ESP-NOW) for communication between ESP32s, we can assign each device a microcontroller -- one for the sensor, one for each actuator, and one for control. We would no longer be limited by the length of the data cables. We would then be able to have more optimal placement of the sensors and the actuators.
  5. Faster actuator - If we need to get more mileage out of this entire setup, a faster actuator that goes at 150mm/s can be considered.

🔗Easily Organize and Dispense Coins with Nadex Coins Desktop Coin Sorter

https://preview.redd.it/2abksja14q1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e3fa0865a87252b2cffb3f5683244816d49a3fd2
The Nadex Coins Desktop Coin Sorter and Dispenser Organizer is a handy tool that has simplified my life. The transparent casing allows me to easily view the amount of coins I have stored, preventing me from losing or miscounting them. I appreciate that this organizer can hold over $40 in change, making it a perfect solution for keeping loose change within reach.
One of the most appealing features of this product is its simplicity. The spring loader makes dispensing coins easy and straightforward, while the individual denominations ensure that I always have the right change for any situation. The sturdy construction and smooth operation make this coin organizer a reliable tool to have around.
However, there is one downside: the organizer's size might be a bit too large for some users, especially for those looking for a more compact solution. But overall, the Nadex Coins Desktop Coin Sorter and Dispenser Organizer is a fantastic product that has made organizing my coins a breeze.

🔗Sophisticated Coin Sorter and Wrapper with Counting and Sorting Capabilities

It's a lifesaver when it comes to counting and sorting coins. Imagine sifting through piles of change, separating them by coin value, and wrapping them up so you can keep them organized - this coin sorter does all that and more. It's a business-grade machine that simplifies the process, saving time and energy.
I remember trying it out for the first time with a handful of coins, just to see how it worked. To my surprise, it did the job effortlessly – sorting and counting every single coin, even the smaller ones like pennies and nickels. Its ability to display how much of each coin type is being sorted and counted, along with the total value of the batch, made it even more impressive.
The coin tube attachments also came in handy, making it a cinch to fill pre-formed coin wrappers. And if that wasn't enough, the one-touch batch setting feature with auto-stop function ensured nothing got overfilled accidentally.
Overall, it's a reliable and user-friendly device that's perfect for busy individuals or businesses in need of an efficient way to manage their coins.

🔗High-Speed Coin Counter & Sorter with Offsort Function

I've been using the Semacon S-140 Coin Counter & Sorter for a while now and I must say, it's a game-changer. The ease of use is remarkable, with the user-friendly control panel allowing for quick settings of coin size. Its electric/electronic operation makes it a dream come true for those in need of high-speed counting and sorting.
The pushbutton control panel is a breeze to operate, providing the functions most often used by the operator. However, the coin sorting feature stands out the most, allowing me to count and optionally bag or package the largest coin while separating the smaller coins into a second bag or tray.
One downside is that it's only available in 110 volt or 220 volt, which could be limiting for some users. Nonetheless, its ability to process coins at ultra-high speeds yet remain quieter than many other coin counters is truly noteworthy.
Overall, the Semacon S-140 Coin Counter & Sorter has been a reliable and efficient addition to my daily routine, making coin counting and sorting a hassle-free task.

🔗Elegant 5 in 1 Wooden Coin Organizer for Change Storage

I've been using the KAEKAT 5 in 1 Coin Sorter and Counter, and I must say it has made my life so much easier when it comes to managing my loose change. This wooden coin holder is perfect for keeping your spare change organized, and it's pretty easy to use too.
One thing that stands out about this coin organizer is its versatility. Not only did it work great at home, but I also found it to be a lifesaver in the office. Say goodbye to loose change cluttering your desk because this coin holder is designed to keep it all neatly sorted.
But, one area where it could improve is in its capacity. With room for up to 460 coins, it might not be enough for people who save a lot of coins. And while its wooden finish is a classy touch, some might prefer a more straightforward design.
Still, overall, I'm quite happy with this little coin holder. It helps keep my change organized, and as a bonus, it adds a touch of class to any room.

🔗Manual Coin Sorter with 200 Coins Capacity

https://preview.redd.it/wbx4dfu24q1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7dd8811201ba134e1eec81b85263e51b6e02a895
As someone who had long been on the hunt for an efficient way to sort through a massive collection of coinage, I recently stumbled upon the royal Sovereign QS-1 manual coin sorter. Its unique design and portability immediately caught my attention, but I had my doubts about its efficiency. After using it for a few days, I can confidently say that my initial reservations were unfounded.
The first thing I noticed about this manual sorter was its impressive speed. Within minutes, I had piles of coins properly sorted into their respective tubes. While I expected the occasional jam or misplacement, I was pleasantly surprised by how minimal those issues were. With consistent and careful handling, I found that I could easily avoid most jams and maintain a steady flow of coins towards my targeted tubes.
One impressive feature that stood out to me from the start was the hopper's capacity to hold up to 200 coins at once. This eliminated the need for constant refilling, allowing me to focus more on sorting and less on tedious tasks. Additionally, the preformed paper wrappers that accompany the coin tubes provide an added level of convenience when it comes to packaging and organizing my coin stash.
While using the royal Sovereign QS-1 manual coin sorter, I encountered a few challenges. Firstly, I noticed that the plastic coin tubes could benefit from clearer labeling when it comes to coin quantity per wrapper. This, in turn, would have made it easier for me to avoid overfilling certain tubes and ensure the proper weight and balance of each coin roll.
Another minor inconvenience was the occasional difficulty in removing coins that have gotten stuck in the tubes. However, with a bit of patience and the help of a small tool, I was able to resolve the issue and keep the sorter functioning at an optimal level.
Overall, I am thoroughly impressed with the performance of this manual coin sorter. Though it requires a bit of trial and error at first, it has proven to be a worthy investment for those looking to streamline the process of sorting and organizing their coin collections. With careful handling and attention to detail, the royal Sovereign QS-1 can successfully handle hundreds of coins with relative ease.

🔗Versatile Nadex Coins Coin Handling Tray for Efficient Coin Sorting

https://preview.redd.it/p5unhs834q1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0e6c9d49e7ce97bee9dd1ffa805edbaec00d7478
Recently, I found myself in need of a coin handling tray to help me with my daily coin counting tasks. Being somewhat particular about how my coins are organized, I was on the lookout for something user-friendly, and that's when I came across the Nadex Coins Coin Handling Tray Beige.
Once I started using it, I was pleased with how the tray had been designed to fit coins of all shapes and sizes, brand new or worn out after years of use. I appreciated how the tray allowed me to quickly insert and remove coins, helping me to maintain better order and speed up my coin wrapping process. The denominations marked on the tray made it easier for me to keep track of my coin totals, which was a big advantage, especially when dealing with large volumes of change.
However, one aspect of the tray that I felt could be improved was the staggered rows. While it did enable me to count more coins across the rows compared to similar products, I found that it had two separate rows for twenty-five cent coins, when it should have been a single row for fifty cents. As a result, I had to manually count to make sure I wasn't short-changing myself.
Despite this minor flaw, I still found the Nadex Coins Coin Handling Tray Beige to be a useful addition to my coin handling routine. Its compact size, easy portability thanks to the included cover, and ability to clearly sort and count coins made it worth its place in my daily life.

🔗Rapid Electric Coin Sorter with Anti-Jam Technology

https://preview.redd.it/sd6hhgr34q1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=930c8b83f661657b5c52052dca9551ff0a715e95
As someone who recently tried the Royal Sovereign One Row Electric Coin Sorter (CO-1000), I can say that it is a fast and convenient way to sort coins. The product's highlight, the 240-coin per minute speed, makes it a reliable and efficient option for anyone looking to manage their coins quickly.
What stood out to me the most was the coin hopper's capacity to hold up to 300 coins, allowing me to sort a large amount of coins at once without needing to replenish the hopper frequently. This feature made the process more manageable and time-saving for my needs.
However, there were some drawbacks to using this coin sorter. For starters, I experienced a coin jamming issue, which caused me to take the sorter apart and repair it. While the anti-jam technology claimed to prevent this, it seems that the issue was not entirely resolved, at least in my experience.
Additionally, I found it frustrating that the coins did not always fall into the designated coin tubes. Some foreign or oversized coins occasionally got stuck on the way to the wrappers, requiring manual intervention to clear them.
Despite these issues, I still believe that the Royal Sovereign One Row Electric Coin Sorter (CO-1000) is a useful product, especially for its price. If these drawbacks can be addressed, it could become a go-to option for those seeking an easy, automatic way to manage their coin collections.

🔗Royal Sovereign CO-1000N High-Speed Coin Sorter

As a reviewer, I've had the pleasure of using the Royal Sovereign CO-1000N Coin Sorter in my daily life. This nifty device has proven to be a game-changer when it comes to sorting my coins. With a capacity to hold up to 300 coins and sort them at a rate of 240 coins per minute, it's a real workhorse in my wallet.
One feature that truly stands out is its patented anti-jam technology, which ensures precise internal sorting so I don't have to worry about any mishaps during the coin-sorting process. I can easily pull out coin-filled wrappers and roll them up, thanks to the removable plastic coin tubes.
However, I did notice that it can be a bit loud sometimes, but that's a small price to pay for its functionality. Overall, the Royal Sovereign CO-1000N Coin Sorter is a convenient and efficient choice for anyone looking to sort their coins in a hurry.

🔗High-Speed Coin Sorter and Counter with LCD Display

https://preview.redd.it/19lxe2f44q1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=60b8e87ee376a79b66064eb029c8196eedd1c984
As a busy business owner, I've found it challenging to count and sort all my coins efficiently, but this electronic USD Coin Sorter and Counter has been a game-changer. The machine is effortless to use: simply pour your coins into the hopper and press start to watch it work its magic.
It sorts and counts the coins swiftly, with the option to either use the included tubes for coin wrappers or bins, depending on my preference for that day. What makes it even more impressive is its ability to sort 270 coins per minute, eliminating any concern of getting behind on my daily cash transactions.
With the backlit LCD screen, not only do I have a clear count of all the denominations, but it also displays a total count, making it easy to keep track of my earnings. However, there is one downside: the instructions could be clearer on utilizing the coin wrapper holder, as it took me some trial and error to get it right.
Despite this minor issue, the overall convenience and efficiency of this Coin Sorter make it a valuable investment for any business in need of sorting and counting their US coins.

🔗Easy-to-Use Coin Sorter with Color-Coded Tubes

https://preview.redd.it/ygo51rx44q1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d22325f734b1e2e3d0cbb4916447d0b9da4d4aab
Recently, I tried out the Coin Counters & Coin Sorters Tubes Bundle of 4 Color-Coded Coin Tubes and 100 Assorted Coin Wrappers. It's a nifty little gadget that I couldn't resist trying out, especially since I always have a lot of coins lying around the house. The tubes are color-coded, making it super easy to differentiate between pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters.
One of the things I really liked about this product was how easy it was to use. All I needed to do was insert the coin rolls into the tubes, drop the coins in, invert the tube, and voila - the coins were counted, and I could seal them up. It was a quick and painless process, and I enjoyed using it.
However, there was one downside to this product that I did notice. While the tubes worked well for pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters, I found that the penny tube required a few extra pennies to reach the level required. This might not be a deal-breaker for some, but it was something I noticed during my testing.
Overall, I'd say that this Coin Counters & Coin Sorters Tubes Bundle is a pretty handy little gadget. If you're someone who always has a bunch of coins lying around the house and wants an easy way to sort and count them, this product is definitely worth considering. Just be aware of the small issue with the penny tube.

🔗Royal Sovereign 2 Row Digital Coin Sorter FS-2D for Easy and Quick Coin Sorting

https://preview.redd.it/xsni8av54q1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0f2283a0132430a60bf9b9b442c6c38e10398359
When I first tried the Royal Sovereign 2 Row Digital Coin Sorter, I was genuinely excited. I had a jar full of loose change that I wanted to get rid of and this seemed like the perfect solution. The first thing I noticed was how fast it could sort out coins, up to 312 per minute. That's impressive! The large hopper capacity also allowed me to dump in a significant number of coins at once, without having to constantly refill it - a feature I truly appreciated.
The product came with a couple of pre-formed coin wrappers, which I thought was a neat touch. It made the transition from sorting to wrapping seamless. However, I also noticed that the coin counter comes with some noise when operating, which might be an issue for those who prefer a quieter environment.
The anti-jam feature was a standout for me. I had never used a coin sorter before, so I wasn't entirely sure what to expect. But this feature ensured that the coins kept moving smoothly through the machine, without any unexpected jams.
But, as with any product, there were a couple of cons. The first was the coin counter's size - it's quite large and might not fit on a smaller countertop. Secondly, while the product worked well most of the time, there were a few instances where the coin counter got a bit confused - it would sometimes sort coins into the wrong slot.
Overall, while the Royal Sovereign 2 Row Digital Coin Sorter has its quirks, I found it to be a useful tool for sorting and organizing loose change. It saved me a lot of time and made the process enjoyable.

🔗Portable Coin Sorting Organizer with Detachable Cover

https://preview.redd.it/twmqc4664q1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4f192981aa98a3db92da9233e16c805af06acd9e
When I first used the PEN+GEAR Coin Manager Pro, I was pleasantly surprised by its slim and sleek design. It fits perfectly in my pocket or on my keychain, making it a convenient addition to my daily essentials. One of the standout features is its clear slots that allow you to easily see when you need to add more coins, which is a lifesaver when I'm juggling multiple tasks at once.
I did notice, however, that the measurements for some coins, particularly pennies, seem slightly off. It takes a bit of trial and error to get the hang of it, but once I figured it out, it became a breeze. I like how the tray comes with coin wrappers, making it easier to organize my coins and create sets for collecting or spending.
Overall, the Coin Manager Pro is a handy tool for anyone who wants to keep their loose change organized and accessible. While it has a minor flaw with the coin measurements, it doesn't significantly impact its usability, and the benefits outweigh its limitations.

🔗Modern Coin Sorter with Digital Display and Removable Tubes

https://preview.redd.it/uf84ggl64q1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=61807183e99e0c75400e162b2ee8f01f53c13dd5
The Teachers Choice Digital Coin Counter and Sorter, as the name suggests, is a lifesaver for both children and adults alike. Whether you save pennies, nickels, dimes, or quarters, this sorter makes organization a breeze. The digital LCD display keeps track of your savings, while the four separate tubes ensure that each coin type is tucked away perfectly.
One of the most notable features is how easy it is to use. Insert the coin into the sorter and watch as it automatically sorts it into the correct tube. The process is quite engaging, and it even helps children learn the value of money and basic math principles.
Yet, this device isn't without its quirks. Sometimes, a coin might end up in the tube sideways or not exactly where it's supposed to be. All you need to do is give it a little shake, and everything will fall into place.
The product itself is quite sturdy, with the ABS plastic construction making it a safer and more durable option compared to glass or ceramic piggy banks. And yes, it's perfect for all ages, making it a great addition to your home's financial organization system.
Despite these minor issues, the Teachers Choice Digital Coin Counter and Sorter exceeds our expectations. It's a practical tool that educates, organizes, and encourages good financial habits.

🔗Effortless Black Coin Sorter for Sorting and Counting Coins

https://preview.redd.it/oemo82374q1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=55d91169f3f049639e0e890ec85f537e35c6aa4e
I recently got my hands on the Royal CS120 Black Coin Sorter, and let me tell you, it's been quite the experience. At first, I was excited to sort my loose change into quarters, nickels, dimes, and pennies using these neat little tubes with fill lines. But boy, was it challenging!
Firstly, the tubes were pretty big, which made it hard to fit in the smaller coins like pennies and dimes. I had to constantly open the lid and adjust the tubes, ensuring the white line was correctly aligned to prevent any mix-ups. But honestly, it wasn't all that bad. I thought it'd be tedious, but it actually became quite fun.
The digital readout that counts the total money in the sorter? Well, that was another story altogether. It didn't always give an accurate count, but I didn't mind much because I bought the sorter mainly for sorting, not counting.
But hey, let's not overlook the issue with the rolls. When you empty a tube, you have to put the money wrapper in before manually dropping in the coins. I got myself some extra rolls, which made the process much easier, especially when dealing with a piggy bank of coins.
My main gripe though is the quality of the sorter. It felt kind of cheap, and I had some worries about how long it would last, especially if my kids started using it. But for the price, I thought it was worth the risk.
So, while it might not be perfect, I've found the Royal CS120 to be a fun and efficient way to sort my loose change. And hey, it's even been a great learning experience for my kids!

🔗Heavy-Duty Coin Counter & Off-Sorter for US, Canadian, Mexican and More

https://preview.redd.it/5ty8tqi74q1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=523ff5574d48ecaaf67517937123a630e5bca0b1
Cassida's C-C850 Heavy Duty Coin Counter & Off-Sorter has proven to be a reliable workhorse in my daily processing of mixed coins and tokens. As a busy retailer, the 2-speed motorized hopper has been a lifesaver, quickly sorting my coin collection without any jams. The high-capacity hopper, capable of holding up to 6,500 coins, has been perfect for my needs.
However, the one downside I've experienced is that this particular unit is slower and prone to jamming compared to my other Cassida counter at a different location. Despite this issue, I still appreciate the ease of use and durability that Cassida's C-C850 offers in my daily business.

Buyer's Guide

Coin sorters make organizing your coins quick and efficient. With the variety of options available, it's essential to consider the features and design that best fit your needs. This guide will walk you through the important aspects of coin sorters to help you make an informed purchase.

Coin Types Compatibility

https://preview.redd.it/q7w1bp594q1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=106e8de1f01f20cfde47996c89aeaedfac6c91cf
Check the compatibility of the coin sorter with the different types of coins you have in circulation. Most sorters can handle a mix of coins, including pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters. However, some sorters may have restrictions on coin types or sizes.

Ease of Use

Consider a coin sorter that is easy to use, with a simple mechanism for sorting coins. Look for sorters with a clear and intuitive display, and one that doesn't take much effort to operate.

Capacity

Think about the amount of coins you want to sort at once. A coin sorter's capacity may vary, so choose one that can accommodate your desired volume. Consider the space where the coin sorter will reside in your home and the need for compactness.

Durability and Build Quality

A good coin sorter should be durable and built to last. Check the materials used, and look for units with a sturdy construction that can withstand frequent use. A coin sorter with an easily replaceable or removable coin tray can also simplify maintenance.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Ensure that the coin sorter you choose is easy to clean and maintain. Look for models with removable or dishwasher-safe parts, which can make cleaning up a snap. Consider how easily you can access the coin tray for cleaning purposes.

Additional Features

Consider additional features that can improve your coin sorting experience. For example, some coin sorters have a built-in coin counter or cash register function. Others may include a storage compartment for extra coins or accessories.

What is a Coin Sorter?

A coin sorter is a device that helps you sort and store your coins, usually in separate compartments for each denomination. It typically has a slot for inserting coins and a system for separating them into their respective compartments based on size and weight.

Why should I use a Coin Sorter?

  • Organizes your coins:
Coin sorting devices help you sort your coins by denomination, making it easier to manage your change and keep everything organized.
  • Saves time:
Instead of manually sorting your coins, a coin sorter automates the process for you, saving you time and effort.
  • Prevents coin damage:
Sorting your coins in a device designed to handle them gently will prevent scratches and bending, keeping them in better condition.
  • Space-saving:
Coin sorters usually come in compact designs, making them ideal for storage in small homes or offices.

How does a Coin Sorter work?

Coin sorters work by using a combination of size and weight sensors to detect the type of coin being inserted. When you insert a coin into the slot, the device reads the size and weight of the coin, allowing it to fall into the appropriate compartment. Some advanced models even use magnets or electronic sensors for a more precise sorting process.

What types of coins can a Coin Sorter handle?

Most coin sorters are designed to handle standard-sized coins such as pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters. They may also have separate compartments for larger coins like half-dollars and foreign coins.

Where can I purchase a Coin Sorter?

Coin sorters can be found in various online stores, specialty shops, and retail outlets like drugstores and supermarkets. It's best to research and compare different models and prices before making a purchase to ensure you find the right coin sorter for your needs.

Can I turn a Coin Sorter into a piggy bank?

Yes, you can adapt a coin sorter into a piggy bank by keeping the coins in the devices' compartments and labeling them as separate savings accounts or piggy banks for each denomination. This way, you can still sort your coins and keep track of your savings progress.

How do I clean and maintain my Coin Sorter?

  • Empty the compartments:
Regularly empty the coin sorter to prevent the buildup of dirt, dust, and bacteria.
  • Wipe down the exterior:
Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the coin sorter, removing any dirt or fingerprints.
  • Inspect the sorting mechanism:
Periodically inspect the coin sorter's sorting mechanism to ensure it's functioning correctly and free of debris or obstructions.

Custom Mini RX 480 Project
"How I turned two partially working GPUs into the world's smallest RX 480"
Disclaimer:
I tried making a post about this project once already, only to find out later that my original text did not make it into the actual post, only the photos. It's a real shame because the original post was heavily trimmed and I tend to ramble (like I am now) so this repost will probably be a lot longer than the original. Please forgive any excessive, ADHD fueled, ranting. I'll try to put headers between each part, if you just wanted to skim though. Feel free to just skim the TLDR if you aren't in the mood for a short novel.
The TLDR:
I took a reference RX 480 8GB card and made it into the smallest instance of an RX 480 card that I could find anywhere. It is even smaller than some prototype SFX versions that never came to market. It's very janky, and took some TLC to make it all work.
I have outlined the whole process below if you are brave and have some time to kill. I have trouble keeping things short and sweet while still keeping the meat on the bone. So don't proceed if you are easily bored or hoping for a scientific breakdown. You have been warned.
Some backstory to start:
I took the cooler from an old R9 285 that was purchased for my father when he was using a Ryzen 2600 and needed some kind of graphics card. We tried a few cheap DP cards I had around but couldn't get any to work. I resorted to buying the cheapest working GPU I could find. This was peak mining boom, about 4 years ago now. He has since been upgraded to a 9600K system and no longer uses the R9 285.
That card had been sitting for a long time in a box of GPUs that needed attention. All of the cards were either obsolete or damaged in some way. I had a few decent RX 8GB cards in there that functioned, but had either a sketchy cooling solution, corrupted VBIOS, or both. I had gotten all my old RX cards to be at least "barely functional" so that I could mine on them, back when it was profitable. I already had a number of these cards on hand, so it was free money on the table as long as I could get them to a somewhat functional state.
However, the cooling on one particular RX 480 reference card only consisted of it's original slimmed down, blower style heatsink, nothing else. The original fan shroud was gone, which made the dangling blower fan all but useless. I had since removed it and strapped a 120mm case fan to the heatsink with zip ties, but even this had been removed after I stopped mining. In an open air chassis with good external airflow it has worked just fine, but to become a viable card for a more conventional PC case it's cooling solution needed to be addressed.
Starting on the project itself:
I noticed while going through all of my AMD cards that the mounting holes for most of their coolers were in the same pattern. Many of the cards even had unused mounting holes in the same spots. This made me curious if one of my less valuable cards had a cooler that would work with my 480. Because it was a reference card it had a short PCB, so I started by finding a card with a cooler that was roughly the length of the 480s bare PCB. This brought my attention to the neglected but functional R9 285.
When comparing the PCBs of both cards I found that the power delivery, memory chips, and MOSFET layout was almost identical. There were a couple of capacitors and connectors that caused interference. This stopped a quick and dirty cooler swap from being possible. After dealing with some of the other cards and not finding a better solution for the 480, I put the project on pause for a few months and forgot about it.
Fast forward a few months and I again noticed those 2 cards in my storage. They were the only 2 remaining in there. The rest had either already been fixed and deployed or were discarded. Finding those 2 cards again, I remembered my original idea. I decided to see if it would be possible to modify the heatsink of the R9 285 cooler so it could be mated to the RX 480 proper. I found that this would require cuts in the heatsink in 4 relatively small areas. Some cuts would be sketchier than others, but it was theoretically a viable project. Better yet, it looked as if all of the memory chips and power delivery would still get contact with the new cooler (assuming proper thickness of the replacement thermal pads).
The material removal itself was fairly straightforward. I used a variable speed Dremel and reinforced cutting disks for all of the cuts. Swapping out to some other bits definitely would have been ideal in a few areas. I made things harder on myself trying to make small, delicate cuts with a disk. Especially the cuts near the heat pipes required a lot of patience and many small adjustments before enough material was removed. I also needed a fairly decent chunk to be removed from the back corner of the card to avoid a large capacitor on the PCB. This cut would have removed one of only 2 remaining mounting points for the plastic fan shroud to attach to the heatsink, so I had to be very careful there too.
I managed to leave enough material around the fan mount so that it kept most of it's rigidity. The shroud was able to screw in without issue. It now mounts with only the 2 screws, rather than 4. Both screw locations are on the side of the shroud closest to the motherboard, when the card is installed. For the 2 empty mounting holes on the front facing side of the card I used thin twist ties to hold the shroud to the heatsink. This worked fine and is only really noticeable if you're looking for it. It was not a necessity to do this anyway, as the shroud was sturdy enough with just the 2 screws. It did help with the slight wobble of the shroud from vibration, but it would have functioned fine without the twist ties. I could have found a better solution but this one worked fine for my purposes.
Now that I knew the heatsink would mount to the 480 without any interference, and the fan shroud was firmly attached to the heatsink, it was time to think about thermal transfer. For the thermal pads I settled on one long pad over the length of the entire power delivery. The 285 heatsink had a strip of copper that covered the entirety of it's power delivery However, the 480 only had a thermal pad that partially covered it's power delivery, and no copper strip to help carry the heat to the fins. Because of this, I figured that one large pad covering almost all of the power delivery would suffice. There WAS a thin strip down the length of the power delivery that was not completely covered by the copper strip on the heatsink. But the full length thermal pad allowed at least most of the heat to make its way to the fins. I figured it would be fine, as it still covered more of the power delivery than the original 480 cooler had to begin with.
I chose to cut out individual thermal pads for each of the memory chips on board. This allowed me to double up in a couple areas where it was necessary to do so because of a slight height difference. The 285 heatsink had concave areas where it made contact with the memory chips on the board. These didn't quite line up perfectly with the memory chips on the 480, so a couple of them needed a second layer of thermal pad to reach the heatsink. This ultimately made little to no difference in the end. The memory temps ended up not being a problem at all.
I used Noctua thermal paste for the die, being careful to cover it entirely and I removed the cooler afterwards to ensure it had made good contact. I am sure there is better paste for this purpose, but it was the best I had on hand and this project was meant to be about recycling. I didn't exactly want to spend a bunch of money trying to fix up a card that might not make it, especially a GPU that had spent the better part of 4 years in a box at this point. This is something that I may change out later on, if I ever repaste one of my better GPUs and buy something better for the job. For now it is not a huge problem to me.
First attempts to boot. Some TLC is needed:
Because this was an old mining card it gave me a lot of grief initially. At first it just didn't show up in device manager at all, and I only had integrated graphics to boot. The fans on the card would occasionally spin up and then stop, so I knew that it was getting power. It just seemed like the Windows 11 machine had no idea how to communicate with whatever flashed VBIOS it had when it was mining.
The fact the fan spun at all gave me a lot of hope. The fan connector had looked the sameom both cards, but you can never be certain. The original blower fan had a much higher RPM and I worried about the new fan receiving too much power, frying something on the board. It turns out I just needed a reminder that electronic devices PULL power from a source, rather than the source forcing power to the fan. At least when they are working properly. In the end it ran at a reasonable speed the entire time, without any sort of fan tuning needed.
I decided the next step was to try the card in another PC. I turned to a Windows 10 install and a Supermicro 1155 motherboard and Xeon combo I had on hand. For whatever reason this did a lot to resolve the problem. I still had to use the onboard graphics to boot (VGA at this point because of the server motherboard). Once I was in Windows I could actually see the card listed as a video device, with the expected exclamation mark next to it, informing me that Windows had no idea how to communicate with it. This device manager error was something that I was familiar with and I knew what to do to get it working.
At that point it was probably already functional as a mining card. Mining software would recognize it and the fact it could be picked up by the system was probably enough for it to send mining data to the program (at least this was my experience in the past). However, I would definitely need to find a proper VBIOS and flash the GPU if I wanted to restore it's functionality as a video card. I began looking for one, but I knew that it may be a long shot. I could not find a VBIOS for the paritcular VisionTek reference card variant that I had, and I had to settle on a VBIOS for a Sapphire RX 480 8GB refrence card instead. I really lucked out, and this seemed to function. I was able to boot into Windows using the GPU for display, rather than the onboard header.
Once I was back inside Windows the card was properly reporting in device manager. The exclamation mark was still there, but updating the drivers was all that was needed to make it disappear. I now had a (hopefully) functioning card, with no obvious issues. I know that there may be unforseen long term consequences operating the card with the wrong VBIOS. As of rewriting this post I still have not experienced any, though. Time will tell if this was a temporary fix or if it is close enough that it won't be an issue.
Since it had booted properly in the Windows 10 machine, I moved it back to the Windows 11 bench, where it was thankfully recognized. This time no driver update was needed for device manager to recognize it. I decided it was time to do some testing to make sure it was all functioning as it should.
Testing for stability / temperature:
Huge disclaimer here, I am not a professional benchmarker. I don't do a battery of tests with comprehensive data analysis and visual charts. I am not overly concerned with all of the specifics in this situation. I just wanted to make sure the card was functional in the real world and that it wouldn't overheat under a realistic load. So I apologize that this isn't a comprehensive breakdown of the performance of my sketchy mod. I may return to this later on and do some more in depth testing of the performance. It is possible that the card is underperforming compared to a normal RX 480 8GB, but there were no obvious red flags to me.
To start I opened HW Monitor to watch the thermals and then I started a run of Heaven Benchmark. I ran it at 1440p, highest settings, and it basically maxed out the GPU usage. The card showed no noticable glitches or artifacting, and had fairly smooth FPS values, so left it to run in the background. I came back after well over an hour when I was sure the temperature had settled in. The final results were a max core temp of 81C, with no listed hotspot temp (I believe it just showed dashes). Idon't know if this was due to the particular model of GPU, the version of the Heaven software, or the improper VBIOS that I had installed. Memory temps were well under control with a max temp of just 62C.
After this successful stress test I decided to put it through some real world usage. I replaced the RTX 3060 in the kids PC with the it and I had them use it for a few days. I checked on temps periodically during this time and never saw the card go above 80C. I asked if they had any issues running any of their games, or if they had experienced any glitches or artifacts. But I did not make a comprehensive chart or do any detailed analysis. The fact that I don't think they had even noticed the swap from a 3060 to a 480 was enough evidence that it was working for me. As far as I am concerned it is now a functional RX 480 again. That was about as high as the bar was ever going to be for this project. I may do some more "in depth" testing of specific games in the future. For now I am happy to call this project a success.
In summary:
What started as spring cleaning of my tech cabinet snowballed into a restoration project, and then a full on GPU "mod". It may not be the most exciting thing I've done. I don't know if it even counts as a real mod. I definitely put more time and effort into this than it was worth. Still, I am happy with the result and glad I did it overall.
At the start of this project the finished card was probably destined to be donated, like most of my spare technology is. I work for some older folks and they will sometimes need replacement parts that they can't really afford. Cards like this are perfect for situations like that. It clears up some space in my cabinets and it saves them from spending money at the same time. It's also great for repeat business. But after all of the effort it took to get this card functional again, I think I'm going to keep it around. It may be retired from regular use, but it will make a cool little trophy to add to my tech collection. It may end up finding a home in a future ultra-SFF build I make. In any case I'll keep it as another cool piece of my personal tech history.

The Hornady RAPiD Safe Night Guard is an impressive blend of style and security. I've been using it for a while now, and I must say I am quite impressed with the product. The tempered glass front panel is sleek and elegant, complementing any bedroom decor.
The patented RFID technology is definitely a game-changer. I love being able to unlock the safe without even touching it, which is ideal when you're in a dark room and don't want to fumble around for your keys or access code. The 4 included RFID tags make it quick and easy to program the safe to open for you and your family.
One of the features that really stands out to me is the two USB-A ports for charging my devices. It's incredibly handy to have a place to charge my phone or other gadgets right next to my bed.
On the downside, I do wish the RFID reader and keypad were a bit more discreet. They're still functional, but they're quite prominent on the front panel. It would be nice if they were hidden away a bit more.
The heavy duty exterior housing and hardened interior locking lugs are a great feature, ensuring that the safe is built to last. However, I do wish there was a bit more padding on the interior for the items inside to prevent any potential scratches or damages.
Overall, I am quite satisfied with the Hornady RAPiD Safe Night Guard. It's a fantastic bedside safe that offers quick and easy access, as well as a place to charge your devices. Definitely worth the investment!

I recently started using this Union Safe Company 1.51 Cu. ft. Electronic Lock Gun Floor Safe in my home after a friend recommended it to me. The first thing that stood out to me was the heavy-duty construction of the safe, which gives a sense of security just by looking at it. The tamper-proof hinges and heavy-gauge bolts are great features that make it difficult for anyone to break in.
One of the major highlights of the safe is its dual-entry lock, which allows you to enter through a digital keypad and also has a keyed override for emergencies. This extra layer of security is a huge plus and gives me peace of mind knowing that my valuables are well protected.
However, there are a few drawbacks that I've encountered while using this safe. The first issue is that the instructions provided with the safe are not very clear or well-written, making it challenging to set up and program the lock correctly. Another minor inconvenience is that the size of the safe might not be ideal for users with limited space in their home.

The interior door storage and 3-spoke handle design were another bonus that I found extremely useful. Additionally, the safe is equipped with 3 1.5-inch active locking bolts and 2 dead bolts that effectively deter any potential intruders.
However, I did notice that the safe is quite heavy, which can make transportation difficult. The size of the box also seemed to be larger than originally estimated, which was a bit of a hassle.
Overall, my experience with the Wasatch 24 Gun Fire and Water Safe with E-Lock 24EGW has been positive. I feel confident that my valuables are safely guarded, thanks to its impressive fire and water resistance capabilities. I've had the opportunity to use the Hornady Security RAPiD Safe in my own home, and let me tell you, it's been a game-changer. First things first, this safe provides top-notch security with its patented RFID technology. But it's not just a tough exterior, it's also incredibly user-friendly.
What I love most about this safe are the features that make my daily life easier. The neoprene floor mat prevents my guns from slipping around, making storage a breeze. Plus, the convenient digital keypad and backup mechanical key let me easily get to my firearms when I need them.
But just like any product, there were some minor drawbacks. The safe is a bit pricey, but it's definitely worth the investment. And some users may find the digital aspects a bit troublesome, especially if you're not tech-savvy.
Overall, this Hornady Security RAPiD Safe has been an essential addition to my home. It provides peace of mind and convenience, making it a winner in my book. And if you're in the market for a top-quality gun safe with all the bells and whistles, I highly recommend giving this one a try.

🔗Solid Wood Mahogany Mahogany Furniture Clock Safe for Handgun Concealment and Storage

As a gun owner myself, I found the Kraiovim Peace Keeper to be a clever and practical solution for concealing your valuables. The solid wood construction with a rich mahogany stain not only provides an aesthetically pleasing touch, but also ensures that the clock is sturdy and long-lasting.
What caught my attention the most, though, is the reliable quartz movement paired with a magnetically latched, hinged front panel. This feature allows you to safely conceal your gun while still being able to set the time, and it adds an extra layer of security to the overall design.
While it's perfect for its intended purpose, I must admit that I have encountered some minor flaws. It's quite bulky and takes up a lot of space, which might not be ideal for smaller rooms. Additionally, the fact that it's a mass-produced Amazon item might deter buyers who are looking for more unique or locally crafted products.
Overall, the Kraiovim Peace Keeper is a reliable and stylish option for concealing your firearm and other valuable items. Just be prepared to make a few adjustments and compromises for its practicality.

🔗Hiding Place Clock - Mahogany Concealment Gun Safe

As a gun owner who values security and style, I recently came across the Concealment Clock and decided to give it a try. At first glance, I was skeptical about the functionality of a clock concealing a gun. However, after receiving the product and spending a few days using it, I was pleasantly surprised by its unique and innovative design.
The first thing that caught my attention was the solid and sturdy construction of the clock. It's built with high-quality materials that give it a luxurious, polished look. The high-precision quartz movement is a plus, ensuring that the clock keeps perfect time. The fact that it also includes an analog clock face with Roman numerals adds a classic and elegant touch.
One of the most interesting features is the magnetic latch closure on the front panel, providing a secure way to conceal the compartment for your gun. It's simple yet effective, and the keyhole on the back of the clock ensures that the panel stays closed when not in use.
My experience with the Concealment Clock has only been positive. However, I did encounter a minor issue with the battery compartment. The screws inside needed to be screwed in a little harder for the battery to fit securely. This was only a minor inconvenience, and I was able to solve the problem quickly.
In conclusion, the Concealment Clock offers a stylish and functional way to hide your gun at home or in the office. It's well-built, works perfectly, and even has the added benefit of being a practical and stylish clock. Although the battery compartment faced a minor hiccup, it didn't detract from the overall quality of the product. Overall, I'm highly satisfied with my purchase of the Concealment Clock.

🔗Secure Shotgun Wall Safe with RFID Technology

As a gun enthusiast, I recently gave the Hornady Rapid Safe Shotgun by RFID a try in my home. The first thing that stood out to me was its slim design, allowing me to easily store it in tight spaces. However, I wasn't impressed with its small size, as it could only fit my shotgun sideways, making it quite cramped.
One of the unique features of this safe is its RFID technology, which provides touch-free entry using an RFID-enabled wristband, key fob, or sticker. I thought it was pretty cool to be able to unlock the safe with a simple wave of my hand, although it would be even better if it had a backup option in case the batteries ran out.
The construction of the safe appeared solid, with the exterior housing made of 14-gauge steel and two internal hardened locking lugs. However, I found the touch-free entry to be quite loud, which might not be ideal for people who value discretion.
Installation was a breeze, thanks to the pre-drilled mounting holes. I was able to easily install the safe in both horizontal and vertical positions, making it versatile for various storage locations. The fact that it exceeds ASTM International safety standards for child and pry resistance was also a comforting feature.
Overall, the Hornady Rapid Safe Shotgun with RFID has its pros and cons. While the slim design and RFID technology caught my attention, some other aspects, such as the small size and loud entry, were less impressive. Nonetheless, it's a solid choice for anyone looking for a quick-access shotgun safe.

🔗Secure and Stylish Biometric Gun Case

As a homeowner with a growing family, I've always been conscious about the safety and security of our household items, especially the ones that are valuable or potentially hazardous to our little ones. That's why I decided to invest in the Stalwart Biometric Desk Mount Gun Safe, and boy, am I glad I did!
One of the first things that struck me about this gun safe is its smart biometric design. With three ways to unlock - fingerprint sensor, a keypad, or a backup key - it offers more than enough flexibility for me to access my weapons quickly and securely. The fingerprint sensor is particularly impressive, granting me quick access to my handgun when I need it most. Additionally, the inclusion of two backup keys ensures I won't be locked out if the electronics fail.
The Stalwart gun safe is not just smart, but also highly durable. Constructed from 14-gauge carbon steel with anti-pry bars and bolstered interior hinges, this safe is designed to withstand even the most determined intruder. What's more, it also comes with anti-impact latches and an impact detection system, which sets off an alarm if the safe is bumped or tampered with. This added layer of security has given me the peace of mind I've been looking for.
However, it's not all perfect with this product. The only issue I've encountered so far is its size. The safe can hold up to two handguns, but for someone like me who also needs to store ammo and other accessories, it can get a little cramped inside. But this is a minor concern, especially when comparing to the numerous benefits this product offers.
In conclusion, the Stalwart Biometric Desk Mount Gun Safe has been an invaluable addition to my home. Its smart design, robust construction, and added security features make it a reliable choice for those looking for a safe and efficient solution to store and access their firearms. Highly recommended!

🔗Concealed Clock for Stealthy Storage

Imagine waking up each morning to a beautifully functional timepiece that also doubles as a secure storage space for your valuable items. That's the experience I've had with the Tactical Walls 1410M Clock Standard - Black, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase.
The first thing that stands out about this product is its elegant, minimalist design. The sleek black clock blends seamlessly into any room, and the hidden compartments are cleverly concealed behind the clock face. The hidden compartments can hold an assortment of items, from firearms to personal belongings, providing secure storage in plain sight.
One of the key features that I love about this clock is its magnetic lock. It ensures that the compartments stay securely closed, providing peace of mind knowing that my valuables are safe. However, the lock can be a bit tricky to operate at first, but with practice, it becomes second nature.
While I've had a great experience with this Tactical Walls Clock, there are a couple of cons to mention. The first is the size of the clock face, which is a bit smaller than expected. It might not be the best choice for those who are visually impaired or have difficulty seeing small objects.
Another downside is the durability of the product. The clock face and compartments are made of thin plastic, which can be a bit concerning for those who expect a more robust design. I've also noticed that the Velcro holding the clock face in place seems a bit weak, which might result in the clock face coming loose over time.
In conclusion, the Tactical Walls 1410M Clock Standard - Black is a stylish and functional storage solution for those who value both aesthetics and practicality. Despite the small drawbacks, I've had a positive experience with the product and would recommend it to others seeking concealed storage options for their valuable items.

The Vaultek Barikade Series 1 Biometric Safe has been my go-to for secure storage of my handgun and essential documents. The compact design lets me store a handgun up to 8 inches long and other small valuable items, thanks to the built-in lid organizer. The smart Sense digital keypad is a game-changer, requiring only a simple tap for quick access and ease of use. The biometric fingerprint scanner efficiently stores up to 20 fingerprints, ensuring only authorized access.
I appreciate the 18-gauge rugged steel construction and anti-pray reinforced construction, providing enhanced security and peace of mind. The tamper detection and included security cable add an extra layer of protection to keep my valuables safe. One downside I noticed is that the battery life may not be as long as I'd like, but overall, the Vaultek Barikade Series 1 Biometric Safe has been a reliable and practical choice for my daily life.

I recently had the chance to test out the Vaultek VS20 Non-Biometric Smart Safe in my daily life. First off, the Bluetooth 2.0 feature makes it super convenient to manage the safe from my smartphone within its Bluetooth range. Plus, the compact design allows me to securely store my handgun, magazine, passport, and cash, making it travel-friendly and easily mountable.
The heavy-duty 16-gauge carbon steel construction feels extra tough and rugged, ensuring long-lasting protection for my belongings. The automatic opening lid and responsive LED lighting allow for quick access to my valuables at any time, whether it be at night or during the day.
However, there are a few areas that could use improvement. For instance, the battery life could be a bit longer than 6 months under normal use, and the manual keys could be a bit more responsive. Overall, I'm quite happy with this product, and it has definitely made my life easier when it comes to safeguarding my valuable items.

I recently had the opportunity to try out the Hornady Rapid Safe Compact Ready Vault with WiFi, and it exceeded my expectations in both convenience and security. The built-in RFID technology allowed for lightning-fast access, and the compatibility with the RFID bracelet and key made it even more convenient. However, the heavy-duty steel construction and hardened steel locking mechanism provided unparalleled protection against unauthorized users.
One of the highlights of this product was the user-programmable keypad, which allowed for personalized security codes to be input. Additionally, the SQUARE-LOK organizing system made it easy to store and access my firearms and other essentials. While the WiFi and RFID technology made the experience more streamlined, it also required me to be vigilant about ensuring the safety of my WiFi network.
Overall, the Hornady Rapid Safe Compact Ready Vault with WiFi provided a perfect balance between convenience and security, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a reliable gun safe solution. However, it's essential to consider the potential risks that may arise from the WiFi connectivity and take necessary precautions to protect your valuable items.

2024.05.21 06:37 Accomplished-Try74 Throw away my hard heart feeling and want to rant out unjust frustration instead of having a giant meltdown.

My family is poor with no health insurance and they decided to go back to China to see cheap doctor once. They used to treat the whole village with food, party meals, and buy golds electronics motorcycle for their friends and relatives. This cause people think I have a good life in usa and fuel them with jealousy or shameful behavior like cousin ask my dad for money, so they will play with me. There was one time my aunt bought me to her coworker rural wedding. I played with their family dog.
I used to love dog until I got bit by one. Isn't it normal for kids like me to play with dogs. However, my parents blame me that I needed to get a shot treatment immediately. It’s that shot that stunt my growth for a while. It’s like anything my relatives did is ok or they won’t yell at them even if they hurt me like break my back. Other parents would jump in stand up for them. Also, one of my cousin is unemployed that stay over avoid his own parents and same guy rant all time how usa suck and reminisce that he cool bully in China that once fed my older sister cigarette when she’s baby. There another cousin recently that gotten deep trouble for scam in China but they bought outcharges and escape USA with money buy house and mistress. Life is unfair that assholegetlucky and still treat families like crsp.
All my childhood is be patient with false promises and one day in future will be better. All these pain and suffering continued because it stem from us being coward and weak. My dad talk about politic everyday and hold ccpcard yet he have no stakes. In his mind he wasted his youth and regret coming to usa. Meanwhile, my mom hated my dad and wish she marry better and left him in China.
They consider aborting me like previous to have less liability. They missed out purchasing a house when it’s cheap as 100-200k now it’s over 1.5 millions and rent rate is through the roof. Rely on me while doing bare minimum. I resent that a lot of my classmate gets allowance, insurance, travel, car, mortgage paid off along why inheritance and will made in their name while I get nothing, but debts inherited from my parents. If I leave is it untimely and unfilial since they’re old. It’s so frustrating. They have bad relationship with their parents and tried to push their poor style living to me like eat salt fish and more rice because it’s cheaper even if it’s unhealthy. Be grateful. I feel like meltdown. They themselves haven’t even talk to their own parents or see them when they passed as well in last decade.
My only friends stop hanging out with me because I was poor and they started hanging out with my bullies because they share gaming and traveling sports hobbies. They then gave me condescending white eyes and joke pity me. They found my linkedin and ask to connect. I still don't think they know how much the betrayal hurts me. It's definitely not asking for forgiveness. It's more like move on snd stop being so petty. they want to compare?
My parents relationship with my nephew is hurting me. They constantly put me down and tries to say things like don't do that to my sister or her son will end up like me. The rules are don't let him hit puberty early and let him play with girls at young age or it'll stunt his growth. Sleep early eat less meat. There are times they ask themselves why I couldn't be more like my nephew. I really want to say thanks to you two that I lived in a shiitybasement for years. We never went anywhere for fun like amusement park or the movies. I didn't even have consoles or yugioh cards when it was popular. I was ashamed of the to go hang out because I don’t understand pop culture reference or cool enough to try date early. I have no problem with my nephew since I don’t see him often so there no envy or animosity, but when he’s mention or here my parent constantly put me down like it’s my fault and not theirs. They are trash hoarder and never take me out to anywhere consider Normal or fancy like vacation trips or restaurant. Meanwhile, my nephew gets latest switch games, iPad, water park twice a year, swim lesson, art lesson, piano guitar lesson, taekwando lesson, etc and have a normal respectable childhood with friends

2024.05.20 23:37 Obvious_Ad4159 Author in Black - Chapter 1: The girl in the rain

The forest road was pitch black. Endless abyss of darkness only further deepened by no sounds, other than the heavy downpour. Trees on each side, leaning menacingly as if threatening to break free of their root and step onto the asphalt. What little light would there have been on a clear night, was now swallowed up by the stormy clouds above. There seemed to be no end in sigh to this rain.
Jessica stood on the side of the road, leaning on the rusted and bent metal railing, looking across to the other side. Her blond hair messy, her make up ruined, her olive green dress clinging to her body, soaked with water. Despite the disheveled look, the girl was there with a purpose. A simple goal, to be picked up by a passing driver as hitchhiker. Though that had proven a task more difficult that it seemed. The stretch of asphalt she was on, that cut through the woods, no longer was the busy road she remembered. A highway that was made not too far away, took the majority of traffic and people away from the winding roads.
But she did not mind, for the highway helped her. Like a sifter that separated regular sand from whatever larger chunk of rock one might find, the highway separated the mundane and tired people going between towns from the deviant and ill-intended people that still used the back roads. The wait may have been longer now, but that only increased the odds of finding her next potential victim.
Her patience paid off, as a pair of high beams appeared around a curve. The headlights seemed to be swallowed by the darkness of the forest, barely illuminating much. She moved from the railing and closer to the edge of the road, as the car pulled over in front of her.
The passenger side window rolled down some, and a voice of a man came from inside. "Everything alright hun? Need a ride?"
Without a word she reached for the handle. Unlocked, how typical. Her victims always gave themselves away with their eagerness. Their fake desire to help her only working against their attempts to mask their true intentions. She opened the door and sat inside the passenger side, before the car began moving once more.
"So, where to?" The driver asked.
The rhythmic squeaking of the windshield wipers masked her breathing. "Just on the other side of the woods. I'll let you know when to pull over."
Jessica glanced at the man. He was dressed nicely, most of them were. Sleeves rolled up to his elbows, revealing tattoos on both arms, that started at the wrist and disappeared up the sleeve. He had a few rings on, including a black ring on his ring finger. Not much of a surprise, some of them didn't even bother taking off their wedding rings. For when it came to the end result, it would not really matter anyways.
"For the next 300 meters, keep going straight." The GPS sounded off, breaking the silence for a brief moment.
"So, what are you doing all by yourself in this storm, in the middle of nowhere? That dress doesn't seem very waterproof." The driver smiled slightly, attempting small talk.
Jessica felt her guts churn, her insider burning with rage. But she chose to keep her silence, not wanting to ruin her plans. The man seemed to have picked up on the hint and kept on driving without another word.
"In the next 200 meters, turn left."
The rain was not letting up, the visibility still almost nonexistent. It felt to her as if the entire car was driven only by relying to the GPS.
"In the next 300 meters, turn left."
Another turn, now they were no longer on the main road that lead out of woods. The car was moving slowly, as the man kept following the GPS's advice, turning on narrower and narrower roads.
"You've missed my turn." Jessica said softly but sternly.
The man did not reply. He merely put the car in reverse, seemingly trying to get back to the main road.
"In the next 50 meters, turn right."
With a deep sigh, he turned off the GPS, before moving down another side road. Soon dirt and mud replaced the asphalt and the car seemed to struggle to move through it, only moving deeper between the trees. Jessica knew all there roads like they were hopscotch by now. She's been taken to each and every one of them, multiple times. She could remember every curve, every bend and bump, every oddly shaped tree on the side. Anger only seemed to bubble up inside her more, her hair standing on end at this point.
She's been there for years, waiting to get revenge on those who had confined her to these woods, to that very road, but they never showed up. So she's been taking care of others, men just like them, in hopes of saving other like herself from a gruesome fate she could not avoid.
The driver seemed frustrated too, driving like he was looking for something. Probably a spot where the rain would not be that much of a hindrance. Veins bulged on his neck and on the arm that was gripping the wheel, his knuckle turning almost white from how hard we was squeezing it. He did not speak, deep exhales giving away all she needed to know.
Her hair began to stand up on its own, her nail elongating, her skin turning pale and her eyes losing their youthful glow. "You've. Missed. My. TURN." She said once more, unfastening the seatbelt, her voice sounding like a growl.
The man turned towards her, locking eyes with her. His expression took her by surprise. Sheer annoyance and frustration. "Bitch I KNOW." He said, pronouncing it quickly, in one breath, while pointing his right hand at her, as the car stopped.
The lights in the car, the GPS and radio, even the wipers and headlights began to flicker and crackle. Jessica was still stunned, but her determination did not waver so easily.
"You think I live in Bummfuck Calamazoo, in the middle of the woods? Do I look like Tarzan? I missed my turn too, obviously we're fucking lost." He continued, before pressing his palms together and against his face, before inhaling deeply.
"Huh, what?" Jessica mumbled, fully confused at this point at his lack of proper reaction, her hair falling back down on her shoulders again.
"In 150 meters tu-"
"SHUTUP!" He smacked the GPS, turning it off again, before mumbling a few more cuss words at the device and taking another calming inhale.
"Listen, I'm sorry. I know how this might look, being picked up off the side of a lonely road at night by a stranger. Every woman's nightmare. I'm not taking any turns with nefarious intent, I just can't see shit and the GPS is making me drive in circles. I've been driving for half a fucking hour and I can't seem to find the exit. Having to rely only on the GPS cuz I can't see a fingers worth of distance in front of the car, ain't helping neither." Finally he leaned in his seat, running his hands across his head, before pulling a pack of cigarettes out of his shirt pocket. He put on in his mouth, offering her too without a word.
She nodded and pulled out a cigarette from the crumpled box, as the cars electronics slowly stopped going haywire.
"So, how long?" The driver asked, lighting her smoke and then his, drawing a long inhale.
"What?" She asked, somewhat relaxing in her seat as the confusion began to die down.
"How long you've been dead?" He said, still looking at the roof of the car, listening to nothing but the drumming of rain against the exterior.
Jessica was stunned, caught of guard entirely. The whole situation seemed surreal. Her victims screamed, prayed, tried to fight back, tried to run, but never this. A part of her wanted to open the door and run out into the night herself, back to the side of the road where he had picked her up. The man did not repeat the question, but the silence told her he was waiting on an answer.
"About..." She paused. "20 years, I think. Hard to keep track."
"Hmmmm, I see. They found you yet?" He continued, the calmness of his voice, like asking a kid what they've done in school, made her uneasy. The fact that she knew what each question meant exactly didn't help either.
"No. Wait, how do you know? Who the hell are you?" The ghost finally regained enough composure to ask.
"Sugar, I've been around the spooky block more than once. Who I am?" He paused, rubbing his beard as if thinking if he should answer or not. "Doesn't matter."
"So, what now? I mean, sorry, this is uncharted waters for me. Do I go back to the road side? Do you exorcise me? Do we sit here and smoke?" She sighed, giving up on the idea of trying to make sense of the situation.
"Now I call triple A and get someone to tow us out this mud and back on the main road. Then, if you do not mind, you show me where your remains are. So I can do you right by this world, at least." He pulled out his phone, before looking at with a sour frown. "Of course no fucking signal here."
"Oh, that's me. Sorry." She reached over, something she had not done in over 20 years, and gently tapped the phone, making the device work properly again.
The driver wiggled the phone as if saying "thanks", before sending his location to the tow company.
"We gotta wait for the rain to stop or at least die down before they can send anyone here." He said, putting on his coat and opening the driver side door. "So how about a little nightly stroll ay? Show me where they left you."
Without waiting for confirmation, he walked over to her side of the car and opened the door, while holding an umbrella. "Here, you've been rained on enough."
Jessica got our of the car, stepping under the umbrella, feeling an odd sense of warmth inside. She's never been this close to a man, since that horrid day, without tearing them apart in fury. The two made their way deeper into the woods, the man letting her lead the way. All she could think of was that perhaps now, her rage will finally see its end.

Rattle of the keys woke up Boogie and Woogie, as they ran over to the front door barking and snorting.
"Hey boys, you've been good?" Miles said, walking in after trying to wipe his muddy shoes on the doormat with little success.
He bent down to pet his two dogs, before taking off his wet coat, as well as the remainer of his muddy and rain soaked clothes, leaving them as a pile on the floor for the bulldogs to sniff on for a bit, while he went and poured himself a drink.
"What a night." The naked man mumbled, sitting down on his couch and checking his automated answering machine.
"You have... 7... missed calls from.... Detective Anthony."
"Uuggghhh fuck." Miles groaned, getting up and walking over to his discarded pile of wet clothes and rummaging through it until he pulled out his cell phone.
Walking back to the couch with a glass of booze in hand, he kept the phone pressed against his left ear. It didn't take more than 4 buzzes before someone on the other side picked up.
"Heey, Ant-man. What's up?" Miles grinned, addressing the man on the line.
"Don't call me that." Said the tired voice. "Where have you been? I've been calling you all evening."
"Oh you know. Ran into a girl. You know the drill." The naked man replied.
"I see. She found?" Anthony asked.
"She is now. I'm sending you the location right now."
"Good. I'll send someone from the department there tomorrow."
"That can't be the only reason you called me 7 times." Miles continued.
"Right. Listen, we've got a case down in Waco. I could really use your... expertise on the matter." The Detective said.
"Now, what skills could the homicide department need from a horror novel author?" Miles cackled a bit, taking a sip and finishing with an exaggerated lip smack and exhale.
"Cut the bullshit Miles, it's way too late for this. You want to help, or do I gotta find another nutcase that can talk to corpses?" Anthony replied, his tone of voice going from tired to annoyed.
"Okay okay, don't get your badge stuck between your ass cheeks Detective. I'll be at your office tomorrow, as soon as my car get cleaned." The writer said before handing up the call and tossing his phone on the nearby cushion. He finished his drink, sighed and leaned against the couch, looking up the ceiling, the events of tonight still fresh in his mind.
(Hi y'all. This one is a bit less aliens and super powers and a big more idk. HorroThriller? I'm not sure. I mean, as long as humans are at the forefront, I think it does not violate any rules on here.

Hello! I've been on dating apps for a hot second (ok, only like 2 weeks give or take) but I thought I'd try and branch out and consider dipping my toes into the online dating pool! In China, you become 剩女 (shengnu) when you hit 30 and are single and unmarried, so my parents have been pestering me about my dating life.. I've had some irl situationships but nothing's really stuck.
TLDR: Looking for the MyMelo to my Kuromi! (Or we can both be Kuromi, that's fine too)

2024.05.20 19:54 NoIdeaButOkay I need to vent

Okay so basically, I have an okay life, really chill, but all my friends are 20-25 and behave like 13 years old, they are hypocrites, egoists, liars, etc Yesterday I said to my bestfriend since like 2008 "I didn't like what you did yesterday" and he answered "Why only me, I ain't do none, I'm here for everyone (he isn't) and yall juste hate on me, imma do the same to you, how many times I could have left you out". My girlfriend is 22 and also behave like a kid, when she mispronouce a word she starts giggling and joke on it for 5 minutes like "ahah I really said Omay instead of Okay ahah imagine Omay", she's clumsy, destroyed 2 phones and 3 electronic cigarettes in a year because of clumsiness. Everything is starting to pile and it's making me angry, I am more and more feeling like I just wanna leave, change country and start a new life by myself, even leaving my family behind. I'm 23 but since I was a kid I have been called a 60 years old, I hate illogical and childish stuff/persons, I don't know what to do anymore

2024.05.20 15:09 vbryanco Morphology 1% to 4% in 60 days.

Morphology 1% to 4% in 60 days.
March 1, 2024: we started to TTC again so I tested my SA again to have a baseline on my numbers. Based on my results, my numbers are roughly the same from previous years. All okay except for a 1% morphology.
March 16, 2024: Cold turkey on my electronic cigarette. Have been smoking since maybe year 2000 and vaping since 2015 or 2016.
May 9, 2024: 54 days since quitting vape, as you can see on my results, my numbers have not improved. Nothing has changed since 2021. Added putting ice on my testes as part of my regimen.
May 16, 2024: 61 days since quitting vape and we are preparing for an IUI, our OB requested for us to do a DNA fragmentation test and it came with a Semen Analysis. Pleasantly surprised my morphology improved but all numbers were cut down to half. Our OB told us it could have been based due to my abstinence.
May 20, 2024: 65 days since quitting vape and IUI day, another surprised hit us today. This is my first time to hit 4% on morphology and all numbers hitting their usual numbers. FINALLY. Now we have 4x the chance of getting pregnant on our IUI though I know this will be a miracle.
Long story short, NICOTINE AFFECTS MORPHOLOGY.

2024.05.20 13:28 Galarior Searching for a long lost CD/Album/Song

It is highly unlikely that my request will ever be fulfilled, but I still have to try because the sensation I felt when I heard this one song was unlike any other. The CD could have been a custom mix made by an individual, but I refuse to believe that because it greatly reduces my chances of finding this song, which were already slim to none. It's been many years since I lost this CD, and over the years, I've had many failed attempts to find it.
My goal is to find one specific song from the album, but if possible, I would like to identify the entire album. The song I am looking for was on one of the two CDs I had, and that CD broke in half. Ideally, I would like to identify either CD. Also, i don't know if the 2 CDs are correlated, but its not like i have a choice. I still have the second CD, and I will list its tracks here:
  1. Lustral - Broken (Dousk Remix)
  2. Outstanding (Taito Tikaro Remix)
  3. ?
  4. Lish - Consciousness
  5. Steve Porter - Rollerblade Disco (Chris Micali Remix)
  6. Dylan Rhymes - Superstar (Original Mix)
  7. I Love Music (Yer Man Remix)
  8. Iman - We Are U (Brisker & Magitman Remix)
  9. Stel & Rekelektrik ‎– People (Lexicon Avenue Mix)
  10. Fatboy Slim - Champion Sound (M Factor Remix)
  11. Sentrafuge - Music Is Electric
  12. Affectation (Dousk Dub Electro)
  13. Copa Move - Castaway (Original Mix)
  14. Simon & Shaker - Pure State (Original Mix)
  15. Nocando ‎– Time Will Tell (Walsh & Coutre Seven Sisters Remix)
I don't know if the second CD has any relation to the first, but I hope it does because the second CD also had incredible music, although it was quite different. The first CD i feel like had more energy and variety in its music.
Regarding the first CD, I can try to describe the 1 song I'm specifically trying to find and its genre/feel. I believe the CD is quite old, probably from from around the 2000s up to 2010 but that could be wrong. If i remember correctly, it contained around 10-16 (or anywhere in between, of which 2 songs might have been the same but 1 was maybe a remix of the other one or both were a remix of some other song) songs from seemingly various artists and unique music that felt like the best of the best of this genre, yet it seems impossible to find. The genre might be club house, vocal club house, some kind of night club electronic maybe even dance genre, —something you'd listen to in a dark club with neon lights, but none of that mainstream commercial EDM and such, it felt uniquely special unlike anything I've ever heard. Might even be trance considering how confusing genres are sometimes but I'm skeptical.
I vaguely remember some marking on the CD, possibly saying "house4ever" or something similar, with a "4" in the middle.
The specific song I'm looking for featured a female vocal and had a beat that was incredibly satisfying and easy on the ears (id say it was around 120-130bpm). My favorite part was where it stopped, and a low filtered plucky synth played chords, then a low kick started, and the vocal came back in, but I'm not sure if this was the exact order. It was the best combination of these elements that I've ever heard. Vocal might even be described as "sensual" in a way. If I had to, I'd call it the greatest song of its genre. During the years of searching for it, I discovered a lot, but I'll list the ones that come closest to the sensation of the one I'm searching for:
Serge Devant - Addicted (Club Mix) [HD] (definitely feels like it was this type sensation)
-Better Run (Wippenberg Remix)(When i hear that part kick in this one, sometimes i think it might have been this one and my brain just forgot, but it doesn't have the kick drum part which is the main reason this definitely isn't the one)
Cesars Darling (feat. Andrea Kellerman) (Pagani Vocal Mix) (this one also feels like it comes so damn close.. it also might just be the one)
Seduction (Original Mix) - YouTube
-Dee Dee - The One (Official Video)
JASEfos feat. Claire Sky — Do What You Want (MV's 'Summer Daze' Mix)
-Lift Me Up (Pain & Rossini Club Remix) (This one's vibe feels like it was on that CD but i doubt it)
-Abel The Kidd - Tell Me (just feels like it fits the vibe of the cd)

🔗12V/24V Cigarette Lighter Plug Adapter for DC5.5x2.1mm Devices

https://preview.redd.it/b42fa2p6gk1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6ecdac288d78a143ddf03a94018d07f3b35bd716
My ACOPOWER DC12V/24V adapter has been a game-changer in my car. I remember one time, I was driving to a camping trip and my phone was running low on battery. With this handy little device, I was easily able to connect it to my car's cigar lighter and power up my phone. I couldn't believe how effortless it was!
The really cool thing about this adapter is that it's not finicky about what it connects to. It's compatible with a wide variety of devices, which is great for a technophile like me who has a gadget for everything. This level of versatility makes it a must-have for anyone who's always on the go.
However, there are a couple of things that I wish could be improved. The first is that it could be a little more robust. I've noticed it gets a bit warm after using it for a while, which can get a tad concerning. The other aspect that could be enhanced is its size. It's a bit bulky, so it tends to stick out of the cigarette lighter socket, making it a tad difficult to plug and unplug.
In conclusion, the ACOPOWER DC12V/24V adapter is a handy device for anyone who needs to charge their devices on the go. With its compatibility with a wide range of devices and its ease of use, it's definitely worth considering if you're in the market for such a product.

🔗CIGARETTE Lighter Socket Adapter by Powerlet

https://preview.redd.it/cq5ubf97gk1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8815b66df6483ddc818383912e1f53ca6e40ff18
I have to admit, discovering the Powerlet Cigarette Insert to Socket Metal Adapter was a game-changer for me. Now, my power solutions no longer have to rely on the ever-so-tricky compatibility issues of cigarette sockets. The high-quality adapters are quite a charmer; their sturdy build and sleek design make them an excellent addition to my collection. Plus, the neoprene cap provides extra protection from dust and moisture.
While the compatibility isn't a guarantee for all types, I found the plug adaptation to be incredibly smooth, and it holds surprisingly well in place. That said, the AAC-003 is indeed the go-to solution for those instances where the metal insert fails to deliver as expected.
This compact, US-made adapter has a robust build and is easy to carry around. Its compatibility with so many devices makes it incredibly practical, and I've never felt more satisfied using it.
However, I did find that it doesn't fit in certain types of sockets, which means you'll likely need some sort of backup option if you encounter this issue. Despite that, considering its functionality and quality, this little metal insert has been a lifesaver for me.
In summary, the Powerlet Cigarette Insert to Socket Metal Adapter is an absolute must-have for those of you who want to keep your power options flexible. While there's a chance you might need the AAC-003, the overall convenience and quality of this product make it more than worth the investment.

🔗12V Cigarette Lighter Female Plug Adapter for Easy Auxiliary Power

As a cigarette aficionado, I recently stumbled upon the Bay CIGF 12V Female Cigarette-Lighter Adapter Plug. This compact device has revolutionized my car rides and made it a whole lot more enjoyable.
The first thing that caught my eye was its compatibility with various devices. I've used it with multiple gadgets, including my phone charger and portable music player, and it works seamlessly. No need to worry about multiple adapters anymore, just plug and play.
However, there's one small issue. The wires aren't color-coded as advertised, which can be slightly confusing during installation. But once it's all set up, there are no further issues.
This little gadget may not look like much, but believe me when I say it has made my life a whole lot easier. If you're someone who's always on the go and needs their devices charged, the Bay CIGF 12V Female Cigarette-Lighter Adapter Plug is worth considering.

🔗Cigarette Lighter Adapter for FPV Batteries

https://preview.redd.it/ijmlh9g8gk1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a5ec34d25afb04c4998262915d83e2f0b1b04a2b
I never thought I'd find a use for my drone battery outside of flying, but the FPV-Power Cigarette Lighter Adapter Lead changed that. It's like having a portable power source for all those camping trips where we were always short on electricity. The highlight has to be its ability to power most 12V camping accessories! .
I used it to keep the lights on and the pump running when we went out in the wilderness. It's such a game-changer, even if it does take some getting used to. The only downside I found was that it's a bit bulky and takes up space in my bag, but the convenience it offers more than makes up for it.
Overall, it's a great addition to any camping trip or outdoor adventure! .

🔗Cigarette Lighter Socket Adapter with 4 USB Ports

https://preview.redd.it/ytbhuol8gk1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4edb12ed3891b017045882c45f814b23e3988c94
I recently got my hands on the quick charge 3.0 cigarette lighter adapter, and it's been a game-changer for all my USB charging needs while I'm on the go. This little gadget, with its 3-socket power splitter and 4 USB ports, has made keeping all my devices charged on long road trips a breeze. The sticky detachable mount is super handy, allowing me to stick it anywhere in the car for easy access.
Not only is this product versatile, but it's also built to last, thanks to its durable high-impact ABS and PCBA material. It's like having an additional power outlet right in my car! And with its quick charge capabilities, my devices are always topped up and ready to go, even on the longest of drives.
However, one drawback I found was that the power output tended to drop when all ports were being used simultaneously. Despite this, the quick charge 3.0 cigarette lighter adapter still offers a convenient and efficient solution for charging multiple devices in the car. Overall, I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking to keep their gadgets charged up on the go.

As a frequent traveler and outdoor enthusiast, I've always been on the lookout for reliable power sources for my gadgets. The Nilight 2 Pack Car Cigarette Lighter Socket DC 12V Waterproof Power Outlet Adapter Replacement truly exceeded my expectations.
Not only was it easy to install, but its safety charging design prevented my devices from overheating, giving me peace of mind while charging on bumpy roads. The waterproof and dustproof rubber cover also added an extra layer of protection, ensuring that this power outlet will last me through countless adventures.
Overall, this versatile socket is a must-have for anyone in need of a reliable power source for their vehicle.

🔗12-Volt Fused Cigarette Lighter Socket Splitter for Multiple Devices

I remember the first time I used the Truckspec Tsp-311 Fused Cigarette Lighter Adapter in my truck. It was a long haul, and I had multiple electronic devices with me that needed charging. This nifty adapter plugged right into my cigarette lighter socket, splitting it into two, so I could charge my phone and GPS simultaneously. I appreciated the fused plug that protected my electrical system from surges, and the red power indicator was a nice touch too. The 15 Amps supply was just enough to power my devices efficiently.
I especially liked how the DC connector plug was easy to use and could be a game-changer for truckers or anyone on the road. In fact, I've gifted this to a few friends who travel often. However, one small issue I encountered was that the adapter was a little bulky, making it difficult to store when not in use. Overall, the Truckspec Tsp-311 is a handy accessory for anyone needing to charge multiple devices at once while on the road.

🔗AC to DC Converter Cigarette Lighter Socket Power Adapter 3Amp

https://preview.redd.it/tqpgwvqagk1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=12fce3986144c2367f42dc2f0c0f46f5c0d45e36
I recently encountered the Cellet AC to DC Converter, a convenient device that's made my life much easier while on the go. It's a 120v/110v AC to 12V DC 3Amp (3000mA) Cigarette Lighter Socket Power Adapter, which means it can turn 110-120V power into a 12V stream suitable for charging car accessories.
One feature that really stood out for me was how it plugs into standard 110/120V AC wall outlets. This has made it a breeze to power my 12V DC car charger, even when I'm indoors.
Another highlight is its universal compatibility. It works seamlessly with my mobile phones, GPS systems, and other car chargers, extending the range of devices I can power with a single source.
However, there are a few cons to consider. The Cellet AC to DC Converter is not recommended for use with heavier power items, such as tire and bed inflators, heated blankets, vacuums, and more.
Overall, the Cellet AC to DC Converter is a handy tool that makes it easy for me to stay connected and powered up, whether I'm on the road or at home.

🔗12V 2A Cigarette Lighter Plug Adapter for Home and Car

https://preview.redd.it/zaf01xdbgk1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ef303d6f4b94c8ec47a262f19b471310e7acffc9
I've been using this AC to DC Converter lately, and I must say it's been quite a game-changer. It's small and lightweight, making it easy to store and carry around, perfect for those impromptu charging needs. Plus, with its ABS shell manufacturing and built-in safety features, I never have to worry about incorrect voltage, short circuits, or internal overheating. This little device is super efficient, converting up to 4.0ft of extendable AC household current into 12V DC power.
The main advantage is its versatility. I can use my car appliances at home now, bringing a whole new level of convenience. But remember folks, this 2A 24W powerhouse won't juice up anything beyond that power threshold. I tried to give my car vacuum pump a boost, but it wasn't having it.
Another key point is the 1.2meter output line length, which allows me to reach farther and connect to more devices. It's worth mentioning though that some users had issues with this aspect, so it's a toss-up depending on your specific needs.
One last thing I can't gloss over is the quality control issue some users experienced. Some couldn't get their devices to work properly, while others had problems right out of the box. So you might want to cross your fingers when unveiling this product for the first time.
To sum it up, this is a handy helper for your smaller electronic devices in the car, but it may not cut it for those with higher power requirements. The choice is yours!

🔗Cigarette Lighter Voltage Adapter

https://preview.redd.it/t6nas2rbgk1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ca9c997cf8a787e0af2825db437cf7e7e91269fb
I can't say enough good things about the JT&T 2675H Cigarette Lighter Plug Adapter. It was a game-changer when I was trying to keep all my devices charged on long road trips. The plug easily connected to my truck's power outlet and had no issues with either my 6 or 12-volt systems, which was a relief since compatibility was my main concern when purchasing it.
One highlight for me was how easy it was to use - just plug it in and you're ready to go. Another was its durability, showing no signs of wear despite being used frequently over several months.
However, some minor drawbacks included the lack of specifications provided by the manufacturer (which made choosing the right one a little challenging) and varying delivery times depending on where you are located in the country.
Overall, I highly recommend the JT&T 2675H Cigarette Lighter Plug Adapter for anyone looking to keep their devices charged on-the-go. It's simple, effective, and reliable.

🔗4-Pack USB to Car Cigarette Lighter Socket Converter Adapter Cords

https://preview.redd.it/z95tyz7cgk1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=19c0c99c263654c35035d87e764c1640591b3b3d
So, I recently got my hands on this 2-4Pc Car Cigarette Lighter Socket Converter USB to 12V Adapter Cable Cord, and let me tell you, it's been quite a ride! I've always struggled with having enough power outlets in my car, especially when I'm on a road trip with all my gadgets. But this little gadget has been a game-changer for me.
First off, the build quality is top-notch. The PVC material and copper wire make it sturdy, yet flexible enough to handle any twist and turns that come with the car's interior. Plus, the boost circuit ensures a stable power supply, so no more worrying about those sudden voltage drops!
Now, the highlight of this converter is its ability to transform the car's USB port power supply into a 12V output for the cigarette lighter socket. This has allowed me to connect various devices like my trusty dashcam and even my pet's electronic leash. The possibilities are endless!
However, there's one small issue that I've encountered - it can get a bit messy when you're trying to connect multiple devices at once. But hey, that's what cable management is for, right?
All in all, I'm absolutely thrilled with my purchase! This Car Cigarette Lighter Socket Converter has made my life so much easier and more convenient. I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable way to power up their gadgets on the go.

🔗3-Socket Car Cigarette Lighter Splitter

I recently had the chance to use the "EUGIZMO 200W 12V/24V 3 Socket Car Cigarette Lighter Plug Splitter USB Charger Extension Cord" during a long road trip with my family. This little device has made my life so much easier. The 200-watt power output and 2.4-amp charging capability meant I could charge multiple devices at once without worrying about overloading the system.
One of the standout features for me was the sticky stickers that come in the package. They make installing the splitter in your car an absolute breeze. You simply stick the splitter onto your car's console or dashboard, plug it into the cigarette lighter, and you're good to go.
However, I did have one minor issue with this product. It's a little bulky for my taste, which could be an issue if you have a smaller car with limited space. But overall, I would say this is a solid piece of equipment that has made charging my devices on-the-go a lot more convenient.
So, if you're looking for a reliable way to charge your devices in the car while also providing power outlets for other gadgets, the "EUGIZMO Car Charger with Plug Outlet" might just be what you need. Just remember to measure the space available in your car first to ensure it will fit comfortably.

FAQ

What is a Cigarette Lighter Plug Adapter?

A Cigarette Lighter Plug Adapter is a device that allows you to charge or power electronic devices in your vehicle using a car's 12V cigarette lighter socket. It converts the socket's voltage and plug configuration to match your device's requirements.

https://preview.redd.it/bbrp67sdgk1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=96dea407b13bfcde7316f68e8c1d42a58b02a740

How does a Cigarette Lighter Plug Adapter work?

A Cigarette Lighter Plug Adapter works by converting your vehicle's 12V output to the necessary voltage (often 5V, 12V, or 19V) required by your device. It does this through a plug-in connector that adapts to your device's charging port.

What devices can I charge or power with a Cigarette Lighter Plug Adapter?

You can charge or power various devices using a Cigarette Lighter Plug Adapter, including smartphones, tablets, GPS systems, portable gaming consoles, and even some laptops. Always verify the specific voltage requirements of your device to ensure compatibility.

Do Cigarette Lighter Plug Adapters come with built-in charging ports?

Some Cigarette Lighter Plug Adapters are equipped with built-in charging ports, such as USB or 12V ports. Alternatively, you can find compatible charging cables or adapters separately to connect your device to the power source.

How to choose the right Cigarette Lighter Plug Adapter?

When choosing a Cigarette Lighter Plug Adapter, consider the following factors: voltage output (match it to your device's requirements); plug compatibility (USB, 12V, or other ports); amperage (higher amperage means faster charging); and additional features like surge protection or multiple ports.

Are Cigarette Lighter Plug Adapters safe to use?

Cigarette Lighter Plug Adapters are generally safe when properly designed and used. Look for adapters with built-in surge protection or overload protection for added safety. Always ensure that the voltage and amperage provided by the adapter match your device's requirements.

How to install a Cigarette Lighter Plug Adapter?

To install a Cigarette Lighter Plug Adapter, first, locate the 12V cigarette lighter socket in your vehicle. Then, plug the adapter into the socket, and connect your device to the adapter using either its built-in charging port or a compatible charging cable or adapter. Always ensure that the adapter is securely plugged in to prevent potential accidents.

What is the difference between a Cigarette Lighter Plug Adapter and a car charger?

A Cigarette Lighter Plug Adapter converts a vehicle's 12V output into a different voltage to match your device's requirements, typically through a plug-in connector. In contrast, a car charger is a separate device with one or more USB charging ports that plugs into a vehicle's 12V socket. Both types of products can be used to charge or power different electronic devices in a car.

Do Cigarette Lighter Plug Adapters drAin a vehicle's battery?

Cigarette Lighter Plug Adapters typically do not drain a vehicle's battery when operated within their rated power output and not connected to a device. Once a device is connected, it draws power from the vehicle's battery through the adapter. However, using a high-power device or leaving the vehicle unattended for extended periods with the adapter plugged in can deplete the battery.

How to troubleshoot a Cigarette Lighter Plug Adapter?

If your Cigarette Lighter Plug Adapter is not working, try the following troubleshooting steps: ensure both the vehicle and the device are turned on, verify that the plug is properly inserted into the socket, inspect the adapter for any visible damage or loose connections, and ensure that the adapter is compatible with your device's voltage and amperage requirements. If issues persist, contact the manufacturer for assistance.

2024.05.20 13:22 Galarior Searching for a long lost CD/Album/Song

My favorite part was when where it stopped, and a low filtered plucky synth played chords, then a low kick started, and the vocal came back in, but I'm not sure if this was the exact order.

2024.05.20 10:08 Heartachebird I think my brother 29M will kill my parents if I don’t take legal action soon

I 26F fear for my parents life. My brother 29M has been becoming more and more violent and mentally ill over the past 15 years. He has little to no empathy, impulsive behaviour, compulsive lying, manipulative behaviour, violent behaviour both verbal and physical.
My mom has palliative stage 4 cancer, he does not care one bit. She can be in bed vomitting the day of chemo and he will insult her and forces her to buy him cigarettes daily. It is horrible to watch. He just overall leeches off my parents financially and in any he can. He is killing her with stress and I am afraid he will hurt my parents in a worse way some day soon. He has tried to physically attack my dad with a knife twice. He threatens their life constantly and keeps saying “one if these days I will kill both of you” . If they don’t comply with his demands he threatens and breaks their house wether it’s a wall, bannister, door, window, table, electronic device he has broken it all. He has no remorse or any type of self-awareness, no idea at all that he is a horrible person.
They had him temporarily confined in a psychiatric hospital last year but he lied and manipulated his way out as he confessed to me with pride. Blamed my parents for confining him and he only became worse. They have called the police countless times in the past 5 years. He has 2 DUI’s and a restraining order against him (not from my parents sadly). My parents got him out of several other legal charges. He stole a motorcycle, he had parking fines he never paid and a few more. Anyways they tried to force him to leave after the last knife incident and he lived a a homeless shelter for 2 weeks where he got kicked out for his alcohol use. He also has substance abuse problems. He doesn’t work and leeches off my parents. He has no relationships with friends anymore as he ruined them all. He loses all his jobs because of impulsive illegal behaviours. He gambles their money as well.
There is absolutely no use in talking to him, no remorse and no self reflection. He has a very low IQ and I think there might be some frontal lobe damage that occurred in his teenage years due to heavy use of hard drugs. It is actually sometimes hard to verbally communicate with him now because of his language level. I have to dumb down my words. So no reasoning, no willingness to get any help ever despite hundreds of attempts made by us.
He is now living in an old trailer in my parents backyard that they bought him. He comes in all the time and breaks their house, threatens them, forces them to buy him cigarettes and alchohol. They are scared of him, tired and old and I can’t stand to watch this happen one more day. I am feeling sick and I can’t sleep once again.
My parents have enabled him for years specifically my mom which is the root of the problem. I knew something was seriously wrong with him when he turned 14 and they refused to see it. I was his punching bag. I had to leave home very early to escape him and his abuse. Anyways they waited too long to take action. They are extremely good people, my mom being an empath to her demise. I respect and love them very much. My mom told me if I told other people about this situation, she would not forgive me. I stayed quiet too long and now I can’t.
I need legal advice to get him confined permanently or at least get him out of the house permanently and away from my parents so he can’t harm them. My parents do not have a lot of money to pay a lawyer nor do I. He has drained them. They don’t want to ask for help in the family because they fear judgement however my moms brothers and sisters love her and are very supportive. I plan to try and find a legal solution and to plan an intervention with my moms siblings asap and her mother to convince them to take legal action. Just need to know where to start legally speaking.
