NPD Le Clean + American Sound -> FX loop is awesome
2024.05.14 07:01 Moonview3 NPD Le Clean + American Sound -> FX loop is awesome
Got this Le Clean for my birthday a couple days ago and it really is great for my setup! I had been looking at getting a new amp for my birthday and was trying out fender supersonic, delux reverb & princeton models at guitar center thinking I’d have this epiphany playing into a tube amp after pretty much exclusively playing solid state for a loong time. I really liked the Princeton and delux reverb but my gut told me to pass - they sounded great, don’t get me wrong, but they didn’t sound so much better than my current setup that it felt worth it right now. What they did have that I really couldn’t get out of my head was that clean, tube attack sound when you hit the strings that sort of makes the notes jump out of the speaker with presence and liveliness. I found a good deal on the Le Clean and pulled the trigger to see if it could add in some of that flavor and it totally does! A lot of what I was seeing online about the Le Clean was suggesting it has a fender blackface tone - that’s not exactly my experience. The eq controls aren’t quite wide enough to get that sound (it doesn’t seem to quite reach the juicy low lows or the top end sparkle it would need to reach). It sounds good on its own but I needed to put an American sound pedal and an eq in front of it to get that sound. My setup is kind of odd. It’s an orange cr60 with a Jensen c12k speaker swapped in. I am using the joyo American sound into the Le clean as the tone stack section running into the FX loop and out the cr60 power amp section. This bypasses the orange tone stack which is extremely mid focused and just isn’t what I’m interested in right now. It could totally just be that I’ve spent a lot more time tweaking this setup but I like the sound more than the fender amps I was thinking about getting and it’s super versatile. The Le Clean really injected that tube flavor into an otherwise solid state setup nicely! The American sound + Le Clean pair really well submitted by Moonview3 to guitarpedals [link] [comments]
2024.05.14 05:26 YourFriendInSpokane [Owner-WA] Steel or Fiberglass Exterior Doors?
I’m rehabbing some affordable apartments and am arguing over the material for the front door. I can get the same craftsman style door in fiberglass for $200 more than its steel counterpart.
Which one is quieter?
Since the doors are only 32”, I’m thinking fiberglass will get dented less and be easier to repair compared to steel. With doorways that narrow, it would only take a few move ins and outs to make the doors look beat to hell.
Am I thinking this through alright? Would you spend $1600 extra for fiberglass instead of steel?

2024.05.14 04:45 TardigradeWithASD 4080s Temperatures
I have a 4080 super (palit version) in my pc and while gaming it runs at least at 70-71°C, now even at 75°C or 76°C in some games now that it is getting hotter in my room. My case has 3 intake fans on the front, and 3 exhaust, one on the back and two up top. They are all 120mm max 1300 rpm. Is this a normal temperature for this card? Is there something I should be improving?

2024.05.14 03:13 hi500 Bought a MIM Fender Mustang P90 today
Treated myself to this MIM Fender Mustang P90, bought used for $617 including shipping and tax. I've read a lot of great reviews about this guitar, most excited about the smaller scale which will be a massive relief since my hands strain to play a 25.5 and the built in P90 pickups. Who has this variation? What's your opinion? Hopefully mine comes in great condition like GC said. submitted by hi500 to offset [link] [comments]
2024.05.14 03:04 Current-Ad7615 BMW G30 540i RWD Spring Rate Suggestions
Any ideas for spring rates for a 2018-2023 BMW 540I RWD?
BC Racing default rates are 8K/4.2K, Silver's Neomax and Megan is 10K/6K, Function+Form is 10K/5K, ECS is 8K/6K, K-Sport is 9.8K/8.7K, Rev 9 is 8K/5K, SF Racing is 14K/6K.
I'm looking for an aggressive/slammed drop with aggressive wheels that stick slightly beyond the fender on stretched tires. I'd imagine those rates above are for slightly dropped cars. Of course I want the impossible, and want as as much comfort as possible, so not looking for anything super extreme (I had 16K/14K on my E39 which although is a different chasis, has the same front and rear suspension, and approximate same weight/weight distribution and it was HORRIBLE LOL) That said, I'm willing to go as low and as aggressive as possible without comprimising ride quality to the level my E39 was at lol.
Thoughts?

2024.05.14 02:49 alexlikespizza Trying to decide if it is worth it Nissan 720
Car would basically be free from family. Basically every body panel has rust or is severely bent including the A pillar, though no rust damage but surface rust throughout bottom of the truck. It has obviously been used as a work truck it whole life. Engine head needs to be redone (~$300 We’ve done before on different car) Needs fenders and hood, but are relitivly cheap online. Bed beat up and there’s a good amount of surface rust in the front. I was told that the part of the a pillar that is rusted could be swapped with a junkyard one if we find one. Wondering if it’s better just to pass or get it running and then sell it. When looking up online I see even higher trim versions of these trucks go for around 4-7k on bat (4x4, st, lb). And in my area these types of trucks in normal wear condition are around 3-5k. I will be on break from school and will have time to work on it but I’m not crazy super into trucks and a 90s civic wagon might be an alternative project, but I still think the truck would be cool and unique. Truck is in an area where I can get work done like paint (2k) or metal work for a low price. submitted by alexlikespizza to projectcar [link] [comments]
2024.05.14 01:35 Pedka2 I want to repaint my guitar, need help.
Hey, I've got a cheap Squier Mustang. It has no contour cuts, so I want to give it to a luthier to add them. So after I add the contours there will be bare wood in those places. I want to paint on top of the existing paint and I don't what should I do with the bare spots before I begin. Should I cover it with something? I want to achieve the Fender Competition Burgundy look, what kind of paint should I use for that?

2024.05.14 01:23 mark_paterson How can I use the HX Effects "Ext Amp" jack to control the vibrato and reverb effect in my Fender Deluxe Reverb amp?
I just got a HX Effects and was excited to use the Ext Amp jack to control the Vibrato and Reverb effects of my Fender Deluxe Reverb.
I actually have two Deluxe Reverbs, so I was hoping to get this going on both amps, one from each jack! However for the benefit of the first test, I tried a single amp, but had no luck!
I connected it to my amp with a TRS cable then went to the Command Center, selected a foot switch, selected Ext Amp, and then tried all the various settings for tips, ring, latch, etc. Nothing worked. Is this not possible?!
I've updated the firmware to the latest 3.71.

2024.05.13 23:09 Lopsided-Outside-605 Next steps after auto accident?
Hey all,
Last Tuesday I got into a car accident in a two lane traffic circle. I'm planning on going through other party's insurance due to her turning into me (details below) but I guess I was just wondering who to speak with about this. I have filed a claim and spoken with the other persons insurance. My insurance adjuster told me to go to her insurance and ask them for next steps. My friends and family keep telling me I shouldn't have to do so and my insurance should be handling speaking with the other company. I have never been in this situation so I don't know what the process is. Are the insurance companies telling me the wrong thing, or are my friends and family? If insurance should be handling communication then I can tell them to communicate but I don't feel like I'm doing anything wrong by talking to her insurance company based on my insurance adjusters advice.
Details: I was driving on the inside lane (two directional travel available - can go either straight, or left) and other driver was in the outside lane (one directional travel - can only go straight in that lane). The lady in the outside turned left into my car from the straight lane and hit the side of my car. Both vehicles are damaged, her front left corner fender and my right passenger side doors and she hit my tire as well. I supplied photos to my insurance company (Progressive) who found her 100% at fault according to my adjuster. My adjuster then told me to contact the other persons insurance for next steps. I did so, and they got my recorded statement, which apparently didn't match hers (she states she was only going straight and said nothing about turning. She did tell the officer that she was trying to turn so that should theoretically show up on the police report). I was planning on using her insurance to fix my car due to her turning into me. Her insurance adjuster told me today they were leaning towards siding with her because our statements don't match and that they were waiting on the police report. Other party's insurance (Country Financial) "strongly suggests" I go through my insurance to get my vehicle fixed as they have not reached a decision yet which could take another 7-10 business days depending on when they have access to the police report.
My car is still drivable but I'm just not sure about the tire really. I haven't had it looked at yet because I don't want to pay out of pocket for something insurance should be handling.
If I use my insurance, then will my company will get the money back from Country Financial at some point since Progressive found the other party fully responsible? I do have both liability and collision coverage. Any advice would be appreciated, thank you!

2024.05.13 22:35 Unpopular_Ninja Burning rubber smell
Hello! I just got a new set of rims and tires going into a staggered setup on my 16 GT mustang, 20x9.5 275 up front with 20x10 305s in the rear. Went and got an alignment after and I’m smelling a slight rubber burning whenever I get on it(no tires are not spinning 😭), it doesn’t look like there’s any rubbing either, however I noticed on my old tires when replacing them that the inside of each front tire was worn down significantly more than the outside of each tire. Was hoping for some sort of advice/ideas as to what you think it could be. submitted by Unpopular_Ninja to MechanicAdvice [link] [comments]

2024.05.13 21:55 Bam_904__ Does anybody know if the 2023 Nissan Altima shares the same exact body panels as the 2024
In short one of my friends crashed his brand new 2024 Nissan Altima and messed up the front bumper / fender and it's almost impossible to find used parts for the 2024 it was just wondering if the 2023 which is the same exact generation would have fitting body panels

2024.05.13 21:07 bigPP715 5th gen 4runner fenders
Hello all. Sorry I'm going to ask a pretty dumb question that I've been searching for online but can't find the answer to.
Are the 5th gen front fenders and fender flairs all the same fitment? For example, would a 2014 fit a 2023, 2019 fit into a 2016 and etc etc.
And also would the trim matter as well? As in would a 2015 sr5 fender fit into a 2016 limited.
Pretty much what I'm asking is if the 5th gen 4runner front fenders are universal with eachother. Yeah sorry guys. Noob here.

2024.05.13 20:44 simononandon Vertical ebike storage options
Re: free standing vertical storage racks. There appear to be three "name" options & most other versions I've found are copies of these:
I ordered the Pro Bike Tool. It assembles easily & doesn't seem like much, but it held my 40lb Trek FX fairly well. I expected it to be less stable. The only issue is that it doesn't work with fenders and rack.
The fender issue is that the Trek uses full length mudguards that cover 1/2 the wheel circumference. What this means is that if your bike is rotated vertically to stand on the rear tire, when it reaches 90 degrees, the fendemudguard rests on the ground, not the tire. If the mudguard was a little shorter, you would be able to tilt it back a scooch further to rest like the bike should.
YMMV. I'm happy to remove my fenders. Though it also means finding an alternate way to run the wires to the integrated tail light (since they run under the fender) or losing it completely.
However, in addition to the fender, the rack that is included with the Trek FX prevents you from being able to rotate the bike on its rear wheel for storage becasue the arc the rack makes when you put it on the stand interferes with the vertical arm that holds the seat post. Although I'm willing to get rid of the fenders, I don't really want to lose my rack just to be able to store my bike.
I haven't tried the other two. The Sttoraboks one looks kinda flimsy & has mixed reviews. They put nice casteron the bottom to aid in moving it around ocne the biek is on it. But the feet don't really seem wide enoughto create a stable base.
I'll probably try the BikeNook with the rack attachement, but I don't have a lot of faith. Although the BikeNook is mostly well reviewed, the few reviews that mention the rack attachement say it's pretty useless & doesn't work that well.
Would love to hear if others have had any reviews. I am pretty sure the Pro Bike Tool one I have would work fine with my bike with no rack on it. I may consider a small front rack since I really only use luggage for errands & not touring. I don't want a removable rack because I know that just means I'll never use it.
If I get any of the other ones liste, I'll add to this since it's pretty difficult to find anything but "OMG THIS IS THE BEST PURCHASE EVAH!" BS type reviews of these things.
