My husband [M31] and I [F26] met online ten years ago and did long-distance between visits until I could move in with him, though now I think he may have groomed me (16F and 21M when we started talking) but I'm not sure, I'm still working through alot of stuff tbh.
Shortly after we got married he had some chronic medical conditions make themselves known and he quickly became someone emotionally abusive who would threaten physical abuse when he got annoyed with me. He'd always had a bit of a temper toward anyone but me, but now he was quick to anger and would throw and break things in front of me when his temper flared. Sometimes we'd argue and he'd scream insults at me so loudly I could feel the bass of his voice vibrate in my chest from across the room and my ears would ring. At least twice our neighbours called for wellness checks on me, he would apologise to the officers and we'd pretend that we had no idea our little arguments had gotten so out of hand, but as soon as the door closed again it was always my fault; he wouldn't have behaved that way if I had just used my brain and not made him so angry.
Thankfully I'm now back in my home country and preparing to file for divorce but I can't stop feeling dumb and ashamed for how much time I wasted with him- and ohmygod, the moneeyy 😩 easily over 15 grand on visas, travelling, flights, care packages, post cards, letting him spend entire paychecks of mine on his hobbies (weed & video games)!! 🤡🤡🤡
I know I'm only 26 and still really young, but I'm angry and worried that maybe I wasted my prime years being a bangmaid to someones crusty, deadbeat son. It also haunts me how many red flags I brushed off before we were married that are perfectly fucking neon now! 🤦‍♀️ They come to me at random times, like this morning in the shower; it hit me that him physically intimidating his cats when they groomed themselves in the same room as him was never 'a sensory issue' or 'difference in training methods', he's just a short-tempered bully who solves things with threats and intimidation. I felt like I had to physically shake my head to get the embarassment out after that, because how blind could I have been!!? Ugh.
If anyone reads this and relates, how did you cope with all the anxious thoughts and negative feelings after leaving and start rebuilding yourself? I feel like I lost so much of myself in that apartment, and I'd really like to eventually stop thinking about all of this, and him, all the time.

Hi im 15 and i discovered Santa Muerte last year. I was drawn to her and i kept on thinking about her. Maybe it’s because of my own ideologies where I want the best for people and don’t want to see, my own people especially, struggle that I was intrigued by how Santita would help people and give them hope to continue with their lives. Also because I’m not in the best place myself mentally, I thought of her as someone I could talk to. I know people use her for even the bad (as said by my parents, they told me they respect her and I alr know the stigma she has around her) and that’s what made me not become a devotee until around August. So with my parents having different views on her, I was unsure how to really go on because I did feel like she would listen. Also scared because I thought my mom would be incredibly angry with me. Then it turned more than some interest at that point. I knew that putting my faith, trust and care for her wouldn’t disappear but that feeling of having my mother find out was something I didn’t want to happen. So I bought a statue of Santita from a devotee online and I would hide her whenever I would go to school. I eventually did a ritual to invoke her in her statue and I’ve felt her presence since. When I would come back from school I would put her on my bookshelf with my crystals; I gave her water, tea, a candle and fruit sometimes. I’ve drawn her art, I would light some sage, cleanse her with it, and meditate with her. I felt a genuine connection. I think about her daily even when I fail to talk to her. I feel guilty when I don’t pray for days. I dont have the motivation to do anything at times and sometimes I generally don’t feel right doing school work or even doing a hobby when I can be doing this or that. Over the year it has gotten worse esp because of an overload of school, my job, and me being “too sensitive” as a problem in my household (resulting in my mental health declining). I’ve hidden her for long periods of times and have left hidden in my utility cart covered with a piece of paper since my mom wouldn’t notice. I’ve given her my apologies and each time I felt as if she understood but I can tell lately she’s not happy with how I’m treating her, hiding her and not taking her out, not making an effort. I don’t believe she’s angry at me but rather upset. And I understand why. When my mom caught her in my room, we argued. She told me it wasn’t good for me and talked about god (when I don’t really believe in him) is the only one I should putting my love in. She also brought up narcos and all that just like my father did. I don’t like how she has this prejudice against her but I fail to speak up for her. I feel as if I failed to even try to reach an actual understanding of Santita to my parents. But now I have a dilemma. My dad suggests to give her to a church, and actually has been asking around how to do so. And my mom says as long as I take care of Santita I can keep her :( and I really care about her I do. I don’t want her gone and I just want to make it up to her. A thing that stood out to me was my dad saying I should wait until I’m older. And I understand given my age I may not know everything obviously but I am willing to learn. Also because I guess that’s one way that they’ll let me continue being a devotee (they don’t know I’m a devotee, I’ve lied to why she was in my room and I feel terrible about it. I feel like I haven’t shown Santita my love of her and it just feels as if I’m not even loyal by lying) So I need a second opinion. Should I wait until I’m older? I don’t want to just leave her and boom she’s not apart of my life anymore until I’m a few years older because I would actually feel I don’t even know how to describe it. And how would giving her away work ???? I’m not even Christian or catholic so what will giving her to a church do ??? I don’t want them to do anything with her. I’m hoping my parents just let her be and let me take care of her. So should I wait ???? Am I actually just so blinded by what I *think* our connection is or what ??? Should I wait until I’m more mature ?????? I’m honestly just overthinking I need advice please.

Everyone has flaws and imperfections, either physically or personality wise.
Don’t get hung up on things about yourself which may be unalterable.
Don’t always be trying to overtly hide such flaws. The insecurity shown when trying to hide a fault often comes off as being way less attractive than the actual fault itself.
Obsessively trying to hide a fault highlights a person’s insecurity and shows low self-confidence.
In the cases where the fault could potentially have an impact on your performance, it’s often much more effective to directly address the issue upfront, and call out the elephant in the room as it were.
But for the scenarios where the fault is inconsequential, you could choose to address it instead in a more nonchalant manner. If the fault does not matter to you, why should it matter to other people?
You can joke about your flaws, but do not do so in a self-deprecating kind of way. If you joke about yourself in a self-deprecating kind of way, then you are probably hoping that people will laugh with you instead of just at you. And while perhaps funny, this does not make you look attractive.
However, being able to openly joke about yourself in such a way that you are not simply searching for approval from others, shows that you are truly comfortable with who you are.
You can also re-frame a fault as a positive.
Being overly defensive or qualifying oneself let’s someone know that they have successfully accomplished getting under your skin, which may have been their very intention. Completely ignoring such remarks or either responding nonchalantly or with a joke is often a much better response.
There are actually many benefits to having flaws:
When you accept a flaw and remain confident despite it, more attraction and/or respect can be generated than if you lacked the so called flaw altogether.
Especially if the flaw is physical. Internal confidence is a way more attractive than some external superficial flaw.
If the flaw is blatantly obvious, and yet you conduct yourself as if it has no drastic effect on your self-worth, it shows great self-confidence.
Similarly, if others try to actively attack you over a flaw, but you remain nonreactive, confident and well-grounded despite their provocations, you can come off looking even better than before.
Faults can also allow other people to find you more accessible and relatable. People can’t identify and connect well with others who appear perfect.
And finally, learning to overcome certain shortcoming in life is what allows you to build resourcefulness, character and work ethic.

Sub Story: Champion's Paradox

Arlene Sachlett, the champion for the pokemon league of Kamelai, Chris and Freya's home region, arrives in Unova for the WCS and immediately begins clearing house with her absurdly stacked team, including what appears to be the future paradox pokemon Iron Valiant. To an experienced observer however, it's clear that this Iron Valiant is not a typical example of his species. Alas, the rarity of paradoxes means experienced observers are hard to come by in the WCS.

Sub Story: The Playoffs

Chris and Freya's goal in the WCS was to try and put themselves and the rest of the team on the map by making it to the top 50. They are close to succeeding at this, but when the new fights are scheduled, it becomes clear that they may be able to go even farther, possibly even finally defeating a regional champion, if only they can make their way through several gruelling battles against their very own 'Elite 5'.

This is our third child. Very much a wanted baby- we even spent time and money on an IUI to conceive. The first 12 weeks or so of the pregnancy, I was excited and looking forward to meeting the baby. Now, at 15 weeks, I know I will be happy when I eventually meet baby, but I can’t help but worry and second guess our decision to grow our family.
My other two kids are 5 and 2. They’ve recently started showing a lot of affection with each other and playing well together. It got me wondering if I’m “ruining” a good thing that’s starting by introducing another member who may or may not fit in with their dynamics.
I’ve also started realizing how nice it is to be so close to being done with potty training and being able to get rid of our baby stuff. Now we will have to wait another two years.
Finances wise, we can afford a third and it is definitely something we considered before trying, but again, now I’m thinking “well what if we could’ve saved that money instead?”
We are definitely keeping this baby so I don’t know what is wrong with me and why I am freaking out. Maybe it’s the reality of being outnumbered sinking in, even though that never bothered me before. Just wondering if anyone had such anxieties while pregnant and how did it work out once baby arrived? Any advice on how to snap out of it? Both my previous pregnancies were so stress free, I worry about how these thoughts and negative feelings are impacting my body and I just want to get back to enjoying the pregnancy.
I will add I’m still going through nausea and vomiting so that might also be contributing to my thoughts. Every day I wake up hoping to be in the more fun phase of pregnancy but my nausea is lasting a bit longer than expected, so maybe I am just generally feeling really shitty and am projecting so I don’t have to think about feeling so sick?

Since the age of 12, I’ve had these episodes in my periods where I would become very nauseous, fatigued, throwing up and etc. at 15 I saw a gynecologist that didn’t perform any type of exam on me and just straight up gave me a birth control to help with the pain. Norethindrone For the past two years, I’ve been using that and the pain came back last year. I stopped taking in February, and finally saw gynecologist at the time I didn’t know the name of the drug. But I wish I did. Why don’t doctors have access to your recent medication that you were taking I feel like all doctor should have that to know they shouldn’t put you on a medication again? Anyway, after seeing her May 1, being diagnosed with endometriosis, we had options I prefer birth control only because I am terrified of pregnancy. The very idea if it sends me into a spiral, I went with the birth control option. I refused to get an IUD. She didn’t tell me that she was gonna go on a conference for five days and didn’t send in my medication until she came back. Why wouldn’t you do it before you left? Finally got in the medication check today and it’s the same medication I’ve been taking. No dosed change. I’ll literally am crying cause im back at square one. I have constant pain everyday, it never stops….

He's been a part of my life for 8 years, from a far.
I've always felt him near me even when I'm in the privacy of my own home. I was 15 when I first met him, he would have been 18 going on 19. Nothing special happened between us in my mind, I liked him but I was young and needed to experience my life. He took that as I was denying him of his chance, I guess from that moment on he couldn't stop.
Let's go to the beginning, I was 14 maybe 15 sitting in the school office waiting. He walks in to return some books, I'll never forget the day we locked eyes.
He didn't pursue me until the next year or so, when I turned 16. We would chat speak online until one day, I decided to hangout with him. He picked me up, took me to his house. At the time (even now) he lived with his father but his area was the basement, that's where we entered in.
I should have figured it was a bit off when he didn't take me through his front door but later on that day he introduced me to his father, after that I went home. Nothing happened, I went on with my life.
Always having him in the corner of my eye, lurking through my social medias, always trying to find a way to reach out.
I would go out in public and he'd be there, just looking at me. I didn't think much of it, sure it was weird but we didn't speak. I'm now 24, still dealing with him in my life.
I recently posted on a public story on Snapchat (I really didn't understand how it worked) and that's when i discovered all the pictures he's been sending (it's not the first time either) but it's been for so long. He realized I read them and began calling me shitty and asking why i wouldn't respond, then proceeded to message me back to back off 3 other accounts.
You may ask why I haven't blocked him, trust me i have. A million times, i can do 10 today he'll have 10 more with my stuff already in them tomorrow.
I finally received a message saying " you realize im never going to give up right".
After all this time I finally reached out to his family (that's a private conversation that i won't be talking about) but the jist of it is they had no idea he was like this and I learned he has an entire computer setup with multiple phones/extremely techy.
I should feel better knowing action is being taken but I feel worse. Not really scared, just confused why this is happening.

This was from an interview he did with time magazine back in 1931 so it made me wonder if these anti nuke guys were on to something. The government has a lot of reasons to create a weapon of mass destruction psyop it spreads fear porn thats one thing and convinces people they can cause nuclear armageddon at the flick of a button. Einstein as some people know tried to steal Tesla's spotlight putting him into obscurity but his technology and experiments were very peculiar and show us there's a lot of high strangeness about this reality that's still not well understood.
Also In 1986, Galen Winsor a Nuclear physicist Exposed the Nuclear fear scam by licking a pile of highly radioactive uranium off the palm of his hand and ignite a chunk of plutonium into a shower of flaming dust to show how safe these materials were. The guy also drank reactor cooling pool water for fun and liked to go swimming in the pool to relax.

I(17F) just started dating my boyfriend(17M). Him and his family are so amazing and give me so much love i have never had. I have had my experiences with boys but the first big one i had was a total disaster. Two years ago at this point, 6 months of dating, i was physically, sexually, mentally abused and ignored and his family never met me and he never cared for meeting mine. I tried to make dates etc but nothing happened. He was 15 so I can forgive some of the stuff he did for ignorance but after we broke up (he won great personality for graduation at school this year if that gives any idea for how he is) he said anything he could about me and caused bullying to the point of me having to move schools. I have had experiences with guys since but never dating until my now boyfriend of around a month.
My now boyfriend came out of nowhere and i feel great with him in person. There is an issue though, when we are not together. I have spent my past year healing intensely since moving schools and I have seen great change in myself so i did not enter this seeing myself as not ready for a relationship, insecure etc. For my whole life tho I never had friends, was always the annoying extra, and was the quiet girl who eventually was bullied to such an extent she had to move schools 40 minutes away. I have now noticed since dating him this may have affected my talking skills ig lol. I never noticed it though at all but it started when he messaged me saying “you haven’t talked to me in two days since we last were with each other” and ofc i had, i responded to what he said, and i texted him first twice asking him if he finished papers he had to fill out and i woke up before him one time saying good morning lol. I said that as well that i have been texting him, he proceeded to blow off the conversation and started talking about something else. I was confused ash for a couple of hours and asked one of my newer very close friends from the past year (i have no friends before this year due to having none at my old school) but she is literally like my soulmate and we have done way too much together for knowing each other for a year lol. I text her asking “i text enough right? to be friends or do u think i text too little or am inconsistent” her response sends me into a spiral “(my name) last month u literally went a week without speaking to me LMAO and i love all of you but yeah you are inconsistent”. I feel delusional? after reading this. I have never thought of this at all. I then proceeded to text my boyfriend apologizing and saying i should speak more and that he shouldnt have blown it off and saif more about his own side and then he said “if you believe you are talking to me enough you are talking to me enough.” and that kinda made me upset realizing that he definitely doesnt think i am. I didn’t blame it on anything though nor did i say much, idk what to blame it on. I need help figuring out how to change or if it is just who i am. I never find myself as a needy person or one that never texted enough either. I never double think, stalk people, worry when they text me back, anything, i dont want to bother people ir bother myself worrying about others. I text when i feel like it and i respond, when i am with people i am always just fine with them and have made plans with him and have never denied any in person plans.
I find it odd my new friends have never brought it up but he is different than just a friend ig. Often I see myself blaming him when i an having private debriefs with myself lol“well he should just text me more if he wants me to” or “he is just used to clingy girls, it isnt my job to initiate everything”
i want an opinion on this, do not say therapy because i am already putting that on the table with my parents and am going next week lol, ok thank u☺️

i bought a 2011 nissan rogue from a “we’ll sell to anyone!” used car dealership in nyc back in may 2021. from the jump it was making a weird noise no one could solve til we realized it was the driveshaft rusted out. i didn’t replace it bc i couldn’t afford it at the time.
fast forward to 2024, i now live in oregon and i went in for an oil change and asked for a full and detailed diagnostic because i trusted the place i was at. i got it back with an estimate of 7-8k in repairs. rear brakes, drive shaft, new tires, front and rear control arms and ball joint assembly. in addition, the underneath is massively rusted and they are concerned that ANY repair will lead to more discoveries of damage and suggested i sell. if i decide to keep it - brakes and tires need to be replaced asap. ($1500)
bad news is - i still owe $5k on the car and carmax (online) quotes me $1400 in resale value. i can’t imagine it’d be worth much more than that considering the body is decent but paint is beginning to chip and the interior is in tact but definitely worn in some spots. plus everything mentioned above.
do i go ahead with the immediate repairs and risk revealing more damage and costing more money? do i trade in and roll over the remaining amount to the new loan? (my ideal option if it’s not totally stupid since i do need a bigger car for work purposes) do i have a secret third option that isn’t voluntary repo? or laying in the street and crying?
fwiw i could barely afford the oil change so paying off the loan outright is out of the question. my credit is mid but i could definitely get a co-signer.

Hello everyone. I had the cubital tunnel release surgery done on my right arm in 2015 when I was 15. They said during the surgery there would be a 10% chance that they would have to transpose the nerve as well, and that ended up being done. Since the surgery nothing has improved. Now at 24, it's becoming unbearable. I have fibromyalgia as well, so I thought maybe the pain was just fibro pain this entire time, but the extreme pain and uselessness of my hands makes me think it's the cubital tunnel.
I found this sub and just wanted to share my thoughts as I'm unsure what to do next. I've seen one doctor so far, and I didn't like how he wanted to dive straight into surgery after just sharing my previous experience with him. I'm going to try to see a new doctor here soon, but I really don't want to get another surgery done. With my fibromyalgia, having a surgery would be extremely painful, and while people share experiences with recovery being a long time, with fibromyalgia it could be years and years. Furthermore, with my arm already messed up from the first surgery, almost a decade later, I'm completely terrified. Nonetheless, my hands are becoming useless. I cannot do most things at the moment, and fear that surgery may be my only option.
For additional info, I've gone to many physical therapists and they've stated that the pain may be due to my posture (i know i know, wait a second). I do chin exercises where I push my chin in, and this does cause the pain in my arms to be lessened. Unfortunately, due to my 500 health conditions, my posture is essentially doomed and these exercises are futile besides the few seconds of relief. Furthermore, while the pain is in my hands, it's also mostly in my shoulder. When I push down on my shoulder blade, I can feel the pain shoot to my elbow, which in turn, makes my pinky finger go numb.
I'm hoping by writing this post there's someone with similar experiences. I tried searching on here but I couldn't find something similar enough. (Also I'm a little behind on lingo so please explain things thoroughly to me if you're able. I haven't searched cubital tunnel stuff since my last surgery due to my other problems, so I'm a bit behind!) Thank you so much.
