Je (27M) sors de deux semaines de vacances (combo rtt + jours fériés) et j'ai le moral au plus bas. La réalisation que ce qui me rend le plus triste est de devoir aller au travail le matin, et ce qui me rend le plus heureux, c'est le sentiment que j'ai en sachant que je vais avoir des vacances/un jour férié, ou juste après avoir raccroché avec ma cadre pour lui dire que je serais pas là parce que je suis malade, m'est tombée dessus.
Le travail régit mon humeur, régit mes finances. Je vais me coucher pour pouvoir être en forme pour le travail. J'ai une démarche à faire? Ah, attention, là je travaille, il faudra prendre sur mon temps libre plus tard. Je ne suis pas une personne, je suis un travailleur. 75% de mon temps de vie va être sacrifié à mon travail et ce, pour le restant de mes jours. Tout ça parce que je suis pas né dans la bonne maison.
J'avais l'ombre d'un espoir que, ce sentiment de désespoir soit parce que la profession que j'avais n'était pas la bonne. Pour Info, j'ai commencé à mes 18 ans dans la restauration et c'est un domaine de chiens avec des patrons horribles, des clients horribles, des horaires horribles. Sûrement, quand j'aurais trouvé un taf cool, avec des horaires plus stables et moins de stress, tout ira bien?
Aujourd'hui, ça fait un an que j'ai commencé un poste de fonctionnaire. La mega planque. 9h-17h, je peux facilement arriver en retard et partir plus tôt, je passe deux heures à la cantine par jour, je peux même aller faire des siestes sur un bon jour, etc. Mais en mr levant pour aller au taf ce matin, je me suis senti comme 8 ans auparavant avec la boule au ventre et cette frustration.
Le problème, c'est pas mon travail. C'est le travail. C'est me lever tous les matins pour aller donner mon temps, presque tout mon temps, pour quelqu'un qui ne sait pas qui je suis, qui n'en a rien à faire de moi, et brasse autant d'argent en une semaine que moi dans les 20 prochaines années.
Ça me sidère que la majorité des gens semblent avoir accepté cette réalité. J'ai l'impression d'être fou. "C'est la vie", de ne pas être maître de (la majorité de) son temps, et d'être exploité. Ce qui est sûr, c'est que je ne suis pas fait pour ça.
Je ne suis pas à risque parce que je suis trop lâche, mais si j'avais l'occasion d'appuyer sur un bouton pour pouvoir disparaître, m'endormir, et ne plus jamais ouvrir les yeux, je me jetterais dessus sans y repenser à deux fois. On a tous nos petites joies du quotidien, mais en ce qui me concerne, à peser le pour et le contre, il n'y a rien qui vaille le coup de subir cette torture existentielle.
Mais bon je vous laisse, je dois aller bosser.

This is a friendly shoot. Many first time steel shooters were at the May event. Equipment is grouped simply by Iron sights or Optics or PCC.

The match prefers shooters to draw from a holster to start each stage, but not mandatory, you may start from the low ready position, so holsters are not mandatory (if you do not have a holster you will need a pistol case to secure your pistol when you are not shooting)
This is a cold range. All firearms are to be unloaded at all times, unless the shooter is actually standing on the firing line and has been given the command to load and make ready.
Each stage will have 25 to 30 targets and there are 3 stages, make sure to bring enough magazines and ammo (yes there is a Texas Star).
The targets used can be knocked over or moved with 115gr 9mm commercial ammo like Blazer Brass being shot out of a 4" barrel, weaker ammo might struggle. 124gr or higher will do better if shot placement isn't perfect.
Newer shooters are welcome, but one should have a basic understanding of their weapon. How to change mags, how to clear a jam, and safety is the #1 concern for all. This just shouldn't be the first time you ever shot pistol. No weapons or ammo are supplied, bring what you plan to shoot.

Event is usually from 9am to 1pm
Also want to mention no food services are available at this shoot (maybe at future shoots). If you want snacks and/or drinks, bring them with you.

En tant que passionné de référencement naturel, je me dois de participer au concours SEO 2024 organisé par Neurchi de SEO. Et comme c'est la première fois que je participe à un tel événement, j'ai envie de vous partager la manière avec laquelle je me prépare.
Lors d'un tel événement, l'objectif est triple :
Pour y participer, il faut tout d'abord demander à être membre du Discord Neurchi de SEO. Il faut ensuite officialiser sa participation en cliquant sur un bouton "Je participe" disponible dans le salon "Concours SEO 2024". Le jour du lancement du concours (le 3 juin 2024), il faut remplir un formulaire d'inscription, en y renseignant le nom de domaine avec lequel on participe au concours.
Ce nom de domaine ne doit pas avoir été réservé avant la date du concours. Il doit être vierge de tout passif avant le 3 juin 2024 (donc, aucun NDD expiré ne sera comptabilisé dans le résultat final, le 3 septembre prochain). Le NDD ne doit pas être un sous-domaine d'un nom de domaine existant avant la date du concours. Toutes les techniques SEO sont autorisées (voire encouragées, en ce qui concerne le black hat😉), ce qui veut donc dire que tous les coups sont permis !
Le résultat final du concours correspondra au classement sur google.fr sur desktop tel qu'il est enregistré sur l'outil Monitorank.
De nombreuses marques connues du monde du SEO sponsorisent le concours, telles que :
Les gagnants du concours (c'est-à-dire les propriétaires des noms de domaine qui se positionnent premier, deuxième et troisième sur Google le 3 septembre 2024) se verront récompenser de très jolis lots, tels que des crédits et des abonnements aux différents outils qui sponsorisent l'événement, mais aussi un dîner dans un restaurant étoilé à Lyon pour deux personnes (généreusement offert par l'agence Empirik) pour celui qui terminera premier.
Il va falloir créer des contenus avec l'IA, mais pas n'importe quel contenu : des contenus de qualité. Des contenus utiles. Des contenus différenciant. Des contenus frais. Des contenus qui apportent de la valeur ajoutée par rapport à la concurrence.
Et c'est là où ça va être compliqué.
Parce que tous les contenus qui se positionneront dans les premières positions sur le mot-clé cible seront immédiatement injectés dans la machine infernale de l'IA pour générer de nouveaux contenus, un peu plus quali, un peu plus différenciant, avec toujours un peu plus de valeur ajoutée.
Donc, le contenu, il va falloir le mettre à jour... Tous les jours !
Et puis, bien-sûr, il va falloir des backlinks. Des backlinks de qualité, tout en gardant un profil de liens naturel, donc avec des ancres de liens exactes (mais pas trop), des ancres vierges, des ancres pas du tout optimisées, à un rythme régulier, depuis un large éventail de noms de domaine différents... Et tout ça en seulement trois mois !
Et comme il est hors de question que je dépense un seul centime en netlinking pour le concours, je vais devoir y aller en mode ninjalinking. Poser des petits liens en douce sur des forums qui traitent de plus ou moins loin de la thématique du mot-clé cible (sachant qu'il y a des chances que ce fameux keyword ne veuille rien dire !).
Mais en réalité, puisque nous sommes en 2024 et que Google n'a plus le monopole du SEO, ma vraie stratégie pour ce concours va être d'inonder les réseaux sociaux. Je ne vous en dit pas plus, mais je mise pratiquement tout sur une stratégie multicanal aux petits oignons.
Vous pensez que je n'ai aucune chance de gagner face aux réseaux de site et autres stratégies de netlinking ultra agressives que mes concurrents vont mettre en place ?
C'est possible. Mais c'est pas sûr.

Selon moi, un concours SEO demande deux actions principales :- mettre en place des actions pour référencer son nom de domaine sur le mot-clé cible ;
- surveiller ce que font les concurrents, et notamment ceux qui se positionnent dans les premiers résultats du fameux keyword, afin de comprendre pourquoi ils sont en haut et comment je dois adapter ma stratégie en conséquence.
Vous avez d'autres stratégies à me conseiller pour tenter de gagner le concours sans dépenser un rond (juste l'achat du NDD) ?

Bonjour, je ne suis pas sûr d’être sur le bon sub.
Pour résumer ma situation, j’ai (jeune SAS) un client (SAS bien établie) pour qui j’ai réalisé plusieurs prestations qui se sont bien déroulées.
Suite à cela, le client me propose de l’aider sur la communication de son entreprise A et en parallèle souhaite créer une entreprise B sur laquelle il souhaite également que j’intervienne.
Je lui soumets donc 2 devis, 1 pour l’entreprise A et l’autre pour la B (qui n’existe pas encore), il signe et valide les 2 devis (c’était il y a plus de 1 an).
Les deux devis sont chacun d’un unique montant propre, dont le paiement a été lissé sur 12 mois pour une question de facilité de règlement. Il ne s’agit pas d’un forfait mensuel. Les devis sont très similaires sur la forme et le fond. Ils sont constitués de trois parties. On a d’une part un forfait principal qui a été réalisé en début de contrat (et c’est d’ailleurs la majeure partie du contrat) pour permettre la réalisation de la troisième partie du contrat (j’y reviendrai plus tard), la deuxième partie étant de l’audit et des RDVs qui ont été honorées en très grande partie.
Le contrat concerne la communication et les réseaux sociaux.
La première partie P1 c’est la prestation intellectuelle, la stratégie marketing, l’étude de marché et la création des supports de communication.
La deuxième partie P2 c’est l’audit, les RDVs, les conseils, gestion de l’image + création portefeuille contacts et clients, bilan, feuille de route, projet de développement.
La troisième partie P3 c’est les réseaux sociaux, avec une enveloppe de posts annuels répartis sur l’année en fonction des besoins (grossièrement divisé en 12), ainsi que la modération qui va avec.
Comme il s’agit du même client pour les deux devis, mon problème de mauvais payeur concerne A et B.
Concernant le devis A, le client a arrêté de payer après 1 mois mais jusqu’alors il me payait bien et me disait qu’il allait me payer mais qu’il attendait un versement de l’état. Ça a duré encore 3 mois, suite à quoi j’ai arrêté de fournir la P3. Après plusieurs relances, il refuse de payer les montants des factures divisées. Et, bien sûr, il ne paie pas les mois « validés » par ses soins et ignore la P1 et P2.
Concernant le devis B, le client a payé les 4 premiers mois, puis m’a demandé une réduction car il n’était pas sûr d’avoir les fonds pour me payer. J’accepte en me disant que c’est toujours bien d’avoir un client au long terme, même si je sais que B a fait un départ exceptionnel grâce à mon travail (le client me la même dit par mail). J’ai continué à travailler dessus malgré l’absence de paiement puisque le client disait qu’il allait payer et le projet avançait bien (8mois). Et là, même histoire qu’avec A.
Petite précision, les deux contrats n’ont pas débuté en même temps et la cessation de paiement a eu lieu en même temps pour A et B.
Voilà un résumé des taches effectuées :
A / P1 100% / P2 70% / P3 préparation 100% + post 60%
B / P1 100% / P2 50% / P3 préparation 100% + post 130%
Malgré l’absence/retard de paiement, le client me demandait régulièrement des extras pour A et B. Ceux-ci ont été payés au début, puis difficilement, puis plus.
Du coup, pour reprendre dans l’ordre, je me demande :
1/ Suis-je bien en droit de réclamer les 2 devis à l’entreprise A puisque B n’existait pas à la signature ? (Je sais que A a les fonds, probablement pas B puisque le client a découvert qu’il fallait travailler quand il s’agissait de restauration rapide)
2/ Suis-je bien en droit de demander le paiement de l’intégralité ?
3/ Puis-je annuler ma réduction commerciale sur B ?
4/ Comment l’obliger à me payer ce qu’il me doit, au minimum la partie qu’il a « reconnu » ? (même si c’est arbitraire puisqu’il se base uniquement sur l’arrêt des posts de la P3, vu que tout le reste était déjà fait)
Je n’ai pas les fonds pour prendre un avocat à l’heure actuelle et je ne sais même pas si c’est d’un avocat dont j’ai besoin.

Ah et ils ont réutilisé tout mon travail pour faire refaire leur façade et ils continuent de l’utiliser dans leur communication (abribus journal etc.) pour lequel il ne semble pas avoir de mal à payer

Bonjour, j'ai déjà fais un autre post par rappoet à ma situation, je travaille dans la restauration depuis 2 mois, normalement je suis étudiante mais pour des raisons perso je fais une pause et je reprend en septembre prochain. En gros je suis payé une misère (1200e) pour un 35h, que je suis la seule dans mon équipe qui travaille (oui je suis un clown). Depuis que j'ai vu ma fiche de paie je me met littéralement à pleurer au taff quand je vois mes collegues partir en pause clope h24, papoter ou glander à bouffer dans la cuisine et que moi je me coltine leur travaille sinon c'est pas fait/mal fait. Que je suis la seule à venir à l'heure au travail sinon le restaurant n'ouvre même pas à la bonne horaire, je me retrouve même à venir certains jour en avance par rapport à mon planning car ma responsable ne veut pas faire le ménage, et qu'elle vient à l'heure où moi je suis sensé venir. Le pire c'est que si je me pointe ''en retard'' on va me faire la morale à moi cat tout le monde sait que la responsable vient pas faire le ménage pour l'ouverture sauf que moi non plus ca m'amuse pas de faire le ménage. Moi aussi j'aimerais bien prendre 50 pauses clopes pendant le service et moi aussi je voulais pas travailler quand j'ai vu que j'avais même pas été payé un smic, du coup elle a mit tout les clients dans mon rang et elle a pas levé le ptit doigts de la soirée. À croire que c'est de ma faute aussi si sa paie est mauvaise.
Moi j'ai fais exprès de bien travailler car j'ai vraiment besoin d'argent, j'ai toujours proposé d'aider mes collègues si ils en avaient besoin, le soir quand ma collegue enceinte (la responsable) est d'ouverture le lendemain je nettoyais les toilettes car je savais que l'odeur la dérangeait beaucoup et car le soir là il y avait pas beaucoup de client, tout ça pour découvrir qu'en fait elle fait pas du tout le ménage surement parce qu'elle est trop bien pour ça.
Là mon soucis c'est que j'ai fais exprès de signer un cdi car j'avais besoin de trouver un logement (plus simple avec un cdi) je voulais refaire mes lunettes et voir un dentiste donc j'avais besoin d'une mutuelle tout ça. Au final je me retrouve à chialer comme une merde en plein service parce que je suis dégoûté d'avoir fais tout ça pour être là plus mal payé de l'équipe alors que je suis celle qui en fait le plus. Tout ça parce que mes collègues prennent 3 plombes à faire un truc, et reste 30min voir 1h après la fin du service pour depointer et gagner plus (ce qui est bien pour eux franchement je devrais faire pareil mais clairement dans ce cas moi je mérite pas d'être payé comme ça)

Moi j'ai fais exprès de bien travailler car j'ai vraiment besoin d'argent, j'ai toujours proposé d'aider mes collègues si ils en avaient besoin, le soir quand ma collegue enceinte (la responsable) est d'ouverture le lendemain je nettoyais les toilettes car je savais que l'odeur la dérangeait beaucoup et car le soir là il y avait pas beaucoup de client, tout ça pour découvrir qu'en fait elle fait pas du tout le ménage surement parce qu'elle est trop bien pour ça.
Là mon soucis c'est que j'ai fais exprès de signer un cdi car j'avais besoin de trouver un logement (plus simple avec un cdi) je voulais refaire mes lunettes et voir un dentiste donc j'avais besoin d'une mutuelle tout ça. Au final je me retrouve à chialer comme une merde en plein service parce que je suis dégoûté d'avoir fais tout ça pour être là plus mal payé de l'équipe alors que je suis celle qui en fait le plus. Tout ça parce que mes collègues prennent 3 plombes à faire un truc, et reste 30min voir 1h après la fin du service pour depointer et gagner plus (ce qui est bien pour eux franchement je devrais faire pareil mais clairement dans ce cas moi je mérite pas d'être payé comme ça)

Boy. Oh boy. Boy oh boy. Well. Im not sure why i started watching this show so late. I dont regret it though!
Jujutsu Kaisen Season One is so fun! I will admit though, its above my level of intelligence sometimes. Although i impart that to me being so fucking DUMB all the time.
The Pilot was fantastic for what it was and definently shows a competent as FUCK crew at work, but it leaves more to be desired for me. Simply because i had a hard time with the exaggerated art style sometimes (as someone thats autistic, it was giving me a sensory overload), and the core concepts of the curses kind of confused me to begin with. Thankfully by episode 4, i was kind of starting to understand.
Episode 2 was funny and more of an introduction to a setting we would be getting familar with and also getting to know WHY itadori wants to join the academy. A lesser impactful episode than the first but still solid stuff in my opinion.
Episode 3 was GREAT! Nobara's voice acting is on the bullseye and the introduction to her is very unique. We got to see our first fight with the curses and their love for including moral dillemas with each battle. Hope she busts the strawman out more often because the way the climax of the episode transpired was... great.

Episode 4 was when i guess the veil drops and the fun ends and this is when the real shit begins. The innate domain. (Which by the way, that was the entrance of the prison which became the manifestation of someones mind? Who's? Is it just because of the cursed energy? Itadori and Nobara freaking out then good boying the dog is THE BEST!!!) The Demon Dog White's SHOCKING death. The appearance of the special grade. The first instance of PURE CURSED ENERGY. Its all so much better tham the first three episodes until SUKUNA. Sukuna sends this episode over the moon and solidifies he and itadori as goated main characters. Like Zoro level goated.
Episode 5 was fine ig. Its a little bit confusing to me still, fushigoro's whole philosophy about saving people unequally doesnt make a whole lot of sense yet. But sukuna ripping out yujis heart using his body was insanity. The introduction to other curses were great and i like their appearances. Jogo being voiced by the VA of motherfuking BUGGY of all people is sublime.
Im not going to do a mini review on episode 6, i still havent finished it. But that scene in the restaurant was INSANELY memorable. I almost want to give that specific scene a 10/10 for the sheer brutality of what i was watching. But it was a little much in my opinion so i withheld my rating sadly. I should still note, that scene was flames all around. :)
JJK season 1 is off the fucking chain and i love it! When i finish episode 6, the next episode is a 9.3 strong! I feel like im in for a wild ride with this whole show. If youre reading this, im probably on the next episode shitting myself over the next crazy wild thing that happens in this show.

I'm rated at 90%, have been since 2016. My health has steadily declined the past few years, and when I lost my husband in 2022 it got even worse- my heart took a huge toll.
I started a new job last February (I was a Deputy Sheriff but resigned the month after he died due to the magnitude of everything between grief and job stress), quickly got promoted, and my blood pressure has gotten even worse ever since. My average BP reading is 176/110, morning and evening. I'm on my fourth blood pressure medication and it's still uncontrolled. My cardiologist has ran several tests trying to figure out why I'm having medication resistant HBP, but hasn't been able to find the cause yet. I've done diet changes, lifestyle changes, limited salt, etc and nothing helps.
I have a sleep study to check for central sleep apnea due to a severe TBI I had 7 years ago, so hoping that gives some answers and is the ah-ha moment and everything gets better if all I need is a CPAP. I'm exposed to plasma and welding metal fumes at work all day which could be contributing to it, but I have no option of another job in this town that will pay what I make (rural Kansas is either manufacturing/construction jobs, medical, or fast food restaurants for the most part).
I'm service connected for my blood pressure and I'm getting to the point where I think I might need to take some time off until this gets figured out, to focus on my health and not have a heart attack. My only issue is that my disability pay is not enough to cover that with my mortgage and bills.
My question is, if I end up having to stop working because my BP won't get under control, what are my options to supplement my income? Is temporary 100% an option? If so, do I have to quit my job before I apply for it? My VA doc told me she thinks my job is not good for me and showed me the trending uptick of my bp over the past 16 months, but in this economy I can't just leave. Absolutely stuck between a rock and a hard place with this.
What are my options to get this rolling quickly so I can get better without becoming homeless? I'm so scared I'm going to have a heart attack. I'm struggling every day just to make it through work and I don't see a light at the end of this tunnel. Any info you may have is greatly appreciated, I don't know what all the options are for someone in my position.

Almost all of you are my fellow Leaf owners, hoping for just one new chargepoint on your favorite route, before the great dwarven CHAdeMO forges beneath the earth go cold for all time. Here's an update.
Here are all of the new US and Canadian CHAdeMO (Leaf fast-charging) stations that rolled out in April, according to the Alternative Fuels Data Center. You can fetch the data yourself here. Feel free to report inaccuracies to the AFDC.
For comparison's sake: in the US, there were 200 "new" (or updated) CHAdeMO stations added in March, with at least 200 chargepoints. To put it in perspective, there were 102 new or updated US stations in April of 2023. This month's report is surprisingly strong, given how late we are in CHAdeMO's lifecycle. It is unclear if this is due to a large number of refreshed stations, or a large rollout of new stations that happen to include at least one CHAdeMO chargepoint, but it may be the latter thanks to Inflation Reduction Act funding. In any case, it is good news for those of us with legacy vehicles.
Keep in mind that even EVGo has started to roll out stations where only some of the bays support CHAdeMO. This makes sense given that only Nissan still sells a CHAdeMO pure-battery-electric car in the US, and the newer Nissan Ariya model is CCS. The Mitsubishi Plug-In Hybrid Outlander PHEV also supports CHAdeMO.
Some of these chargepoints will be "refreshes," e.g. the provider replaced them with faster chargers etc. Some may be incorrect. This report is only as good as the Alternative Fuels Data Center data.
If you'd like to know about new chargers along your routes right away, or reading these monthly reports is just frustrating in your state, I've set up a free service that provides email notifications only when new stations actually open. You can sign up at evpov.com. I built it to help EV owners like myself (especially my fellow Leaf owners). You can pick other plug types as well.
To streamline this post, multi-chargepoint locations are listed with the number of chargepoints first. Some stations may actually have more CHAdeMO chargepoints than reported here, but most won't, because even EVGo has started to reduce the number of CHAdeMO chargepoints per station. So in the case of CHAdeMO I make a pessimistic assumption to avoid creating unrealistic expectations.

Here are all (*) of the new US and Canadian CCS (Level 3 fast-charging) stations that rolled out in April 2024, according to the Department of Energy. You can get the data yourself here.
These chargers are suitable for most new EVs on the market, except for:
There were 330 CCS charging stations with a total of 682 chargepoints added or refreshed in April 2024, which is a major uptick in both stations and chargepoints. There were only 166 new CCS charging stations in April 2023, with only 267 chargepoints. Things are trending dramatically upwards.
Some part of this is due to Tesla Magic Dock stations. Previously Tesla didn't report these to the AFDC as CCS, but now they do. And that makes sense because all CCS drivers can use them.
NOTE: most Tesla Superchargers do NOT have magic dock as of this writing (all those shown in this report should have it). I recommend using PlugShare to locate compatible stations for your vehicle.
(*) "What about other Tesla Superchargers? Can't everybody charge with NACS now?"
It's coming for many makes and models, and for newer Ford models as well as a few other manufacturers charging at v3 and v4 Superchargers is already an option with a free adapter from the automakers. GM should release their adapter in the coming weeks. But since they are not open to all CCS vehicles, this report is not the place for them. Tesla's app provides the best guide to their locations, including locations that work with non-Tesla vehicles.

Nous ne contrôlons pas notre apparence physique, nous ne contrôlons pas nos pulsions, qui sont en réalité une catégorie illusoire de pensée. Notre être entier n'est qu'une machine, imbriqué avec d'autres machines, elles-même imbriquées dans l'univers (qui est bien entendu une machine entièrement déterminée). Il est toujours possible de détricoter tout ce que nous appelons un choix jusqu'à notre conception.
D'autant plus que le concept même de libre-arbitre est un non-sens. C'est un oxymore. Car un arbitrage est l'action de prendre une décision de manière raisonnée après délibération des facteurs déterminants, afin d'optimiser cette décision pour un but donné. Par exemple, je dois prendre le bus dans quinze minutes, mais j'ai très envie de faire caca. Qui mérite quel traitement ? La réponse émancipatoire est : personne ne mérite quoi que ce soit, que cela soit des louanges et des punitions. Pour quelque action que ce soit. Einstein ne méritait pas son Prix Nobel ou quelque autre accolade. Aucun des nazis condamné à mort à Nuremberg ne méritait cette peine, ou une autre punition. C’est là que vient s’insérer l’utilisation de certains concepts du mouvement philosophique de la vertu éthique. Comment créer des personnes vertueuses ? Une société pro-sociale, par définition, va tendre à l’aplatissement des inégalités, ainsi qu’à la direction des ressources disponibles envers les personnes les plus démunies—et je pense qu’il est possible de dire que les personnes anti-sociales vivent une forme d’invalidité dans une société pro-sociale, c’est-à-dire une déconnexion et un manque d’adaptation à leur environnement. Mais une société pro-sociale, plutôt que de les exclure, comme on le fait maintenant avec les personnes handicapées, va tendre à les inclure et donc à allouer des ressources (temps, argent, labeur) envers leur réintégration pleine dans la société. Les réhabituer à voir les autres animaux humains (et à terme, les animaux non-humains) comme pleinement dignes de camaraderie, d’entraide, et de respect mutuel. Pour cela, il faut mobiliser les personnes ayant la chance d’avoir une énorme patience, une énorme capacité empathique, et une énorme aptitude au pardon, et à l’enseignement par l’exemple. Au début, la tâche va être difficile, car il nous faut transitionner (new gender just dropped) d’une société anti-sociale vers une société pro-sociale, mais plus celle-ci se développera, plus les humains avec ces capacités auront la possibilité de s’épanouir, et donc de créer un cercle vertueux.

In recent times, there has been an observable trend of some individuals engaging in the act of shaming those who possess financial resources. This has given rise to the perception that religious ignorance pervades what is commonly referred to as the Muslim world. In one instance, during a visit to a mosque in Arlington, VA, a speech was given by an individual with a mental disability who criticized the concept of making money as an immoral act. This occurrence drew my ire, which I expressed by rebuking the speaker and enquiring if any millionaires were present. It turned out that everyone in attendance was either a taxi driver, an Uber driver or worked in the restaurant industry.
The free market principle is considered an Islamic principle and is mentioned in the Quran, the primary Islamic source of knowledge. In Islam, commodities that possess intrinsic value are regarded as currency, and some examples of such commodities include gold, silver, dates, wheat, barley, and salt. These six items are derived from a hadith and are referred to as Sunnah money.
While paper money or electronic money can be utilized as currency, they must be backed by one of the commodities mentioned above at a fixed exchange rate. This means that paper money is not just a contract but a tool that empowers the average citizen to exchange it for a specific measure or weight of the commodity mentioned on the paper. Prior to 1971, most currencies of the world were backed by gold, but only governments were able to redeem paper, not the average citizen.
When fiat currency is not in use, the market determines the price of the commodity. However, the creators of fiat money have the ability to manipulate or adjust the price or value of commodities due to the market law of supply and demand.
The problem within the Muslim community is that, after the colonialists vacated Muslim countries, they left behind a legacy of religious ignorance and extreme poverty that continues to burden Muslim elites. This reality has generated significant challenges in multiple sectors and has contributed to the negative perception of Muslims.
In Islam, wealth can be considered a blessing if it is used in ways that are pleasing to Allah and to help one obey Allah. However, it can be a calamity if it is used for evil purposes, if it leads to feelings of pride and arrogance, or if it distracts one from obeying and remembering Allah.
Muslims follow the five pillars of Islam, one of which is giving to zakat (poor Due). In fact, charity is often mentioned in the Quran. A Muslim without money, how can they pay Zakat?
The Quran, in verse 2:177, defines righteousness as a belief in God, the Last Day, the Angels, the Book, and the Prophets. It also includes the act of giving wealth, despite one's attachment to it, to relatives, orphans, the needy, travelers, and those who ask for help. This verse also emphasizes the importance of establishing Prayer and practicing regular charity.
A Muslim can earn an unlimited amount of money as long as it is earned in a Halal way, regardless of gender.
There are several ways to spend wealth in a good manner. These include building mosques, supporting authentic Islamic educational institutions, giving charity, sponsoring orphans, and helping the sick and needy. One can also bring happiness to their family, children, and relatives, perform Hajj and ‘Umrah repeatedly, establish schools for teaching Quran memorization and knowledge, give loans to the needy, allow more time for debtors who are in difficulty to pay off their debts and contribute to charitable projects that will benefit Muslims, such as constructive satellite channels, beneficial websites, and other ways of doing good.
The donor should understand that their real wealth is what they give for the sake of Allah. They will find its good consequences after they die. As for the wealth that they keep, it is not their wealth in the true sense of the word. Instead, it is the wealth of their heirs. The Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “For which of you is the wealth of his heir dearer to him than his own wealth?” They said: O Messenger of Allah, there is no one among us, but his wealth is dearer to him. He said: “Verily his (real) wealth is that which he sends on ahead, and the wealth of his heir is that which he keeps back.”
Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) once said that whoever is blessed with wealth by Allah but fails to pay the obligatory Zakat on it will face dire consequences on the Day of Judgement. Their wealth will appear in the form of a venomous snake with two black spots over its eyes and no hair on its body. The snake will coil around their neck, bite their cheeks and say, "I am your wealth, I am your treasure!" The Prophet then recited the holy verses (Quran 3:180), which urge people not to withhold what Allah has given them.

So I recently accepted a job that will require me to go to Lynchburg about monthly. I have never been and only know about the city because of the University.
I am a youngish woman (mid 30s) who will most likely be traveling alone most of the time. What I am looking for is information where in Downtown is safe to go for jogs in the morning. (5-6am) is there anywhere to avoid with clear understanding of it. (Things like "stay away from the big chicken or the Sonic with the broken sign" or something.)
Also I do not eat meat, so any staple places to grab food that has vegetarian options.
Also looking for cool nerdy older adult friendly hangouts. Somewhere I can play MtG or D&D after work. I am a hobby slut (golf, horseback riding, pole, etc), so I would be open to trying any uniquely (legal) VA thing as well. I figured I would do all the touristy things within the first few trips but would love some activities to meet people and just be social.
I did see a snow park thingy, but I am Floridian so I do not think I really belong near a hill or snow. But I would be open to trying.
ETA- I am not a member of any faith, and have no interest in faith based experiences.
