Fixes an issue where setting a project to Dolby Atmos could output to 7.1.4 even when the mode defaults to Apple Renderer.
It is now possible to monitor Dolby Atmos projects directly via HDMI to a surround capable receiveamplifier.
The metering for Height channels now shows as post-fader on the Master channel as expected.
Loading a Master Bus channel strip setting in the 7.1.4 channel format now preserves the 7.1.4 channel layout as expected.
Session Players
Resolves an issue where loading a user-created Drum Machine Designer patch could set the input to a bus and fail to load the Drum Machine Designer instrument.
Using the Create Drummer Region command in a Marquee selection now creates a region that corresponds to the Marquee.
Smart Tempo
In cases where there is not an existing Smart Tempo Multitrack Set, selecting an audio file in the Smart Tempo Multitrack Set window and disabling the “Contribute to analysis” check box now causes the Update button to change to Analyze as expected.
Pressing the Space bar now immediately stops a Free Tempo recording.
Fixes an issue where projects previously open in the same Logic Pro session could unexpectedly affect “Contribute to Analysis” in the Smart Tempo editor.
Recording
Audio regions recorded to unnamed tracks now include the project name and track number in their name.
Mixer
The channel strip Stereo Pan control and the Pan menu now can be adjusted when Caps Lock is enabled.
Creating a single Multi-timbral Software Instrument in the New Track Sheet no longer creates two Software Instrument instances in the All view of the Mixer.
Resolves an issue where remaining tracks in a Multitimbral Software Instrument Track Stack could unexpectedly rename the channel strip.
Adjusting the activity status of a speaker in the Surround panner no longer causes the signal to unexpectedly mute.
Groups now immediately show as inactive when switched off for a selected set of channels in the Mixer.
Metering now correctly works on individual channel strips with plug-ins that send to more than two channels and are routed to a surround bus.
Option-clicking on a send in a selected group of channel strips now sets all corresponding sends to 0 dB as expected.
Fixes an issue where performing Undo after adjusting the fader values of grouped channels with Group Clutch enabled and then disabled could cause the faders to jump up to +6 dB when one member of the group is touched.

Alchemy
The oscillator section in Alchemy offers a new Wide Unison mode.
All controls for Additive Effects now accept typed-in values as expected.
Values typed into parameters related to milliseconds (MS) in Acoustic Reverb are no longer interpreted as full seconds.
Resolves an issue where performance control destinations for modulation could show as duplicated.
Sampler, Quick Sampler, and Quick Alchemy
The Playback direction button in Quick Sampler now immediately updates when clicked.
The view now scrolls correctly when dragging the Trim marker in Sample Alchemy.
It is now possible to adjust the level of a group in Sampler up to +24 dB.
The Up/Down buttons for navigating zones in Sampler now remain available after adjusting the start or end positions of samples.
The general Zoom/Scroll key commands now can be used to trim the current view in Sample Alchemy.
Handles and Trim Handles in Sample Alchemy behave correctly when click-dragged, even when the plug-in window does not have focus.
The Ancient Vocal Chop and Baily Glide plug-in settings for Quick Sampler now open in Classic mode, as expected.
Plug-ins
The MIDI Scripter plug-in now shows in Logic Pro when running in dark mode.

Mastering Assistant no longer allows the -1 dBFS peak limit to be exceeded in certain cases.
Automation
The Consolidate Relative and Absolute for Visible / Automation menu item now only displays when automation types that support relative automation are active in the lane.
Region-based Automation is now pasted as Track-based Automation when pasted to an area of a track that does not contain regions.
Pitchbend now works as expected with zones in Sampler that do not have Flex Pitch enabled.
Selecting Region-based automation points on a region now deselects previously selected automation points on other regions
Disabling Region-Based Automation no longer dims the Power button for MIDI CC data lanes in the Piano Roll.
The movie window now updates to show the correct frame when moving Region-based automation points.
The Autoselect automation parameter now works as expected when clicking any plug-in control.
Automation of the Gain plug-in no longer exhibits unexpected latency.
Region-based automation is now drawn correctly when recorded into projects that start earlier than 1 1 1 1.
Automation lane views for all tracks are now maintained when switching into Flex view and then back to Automation view.
Flex Time and Flex Pitch
Flex Pitched notes now play as expected when clicked while Record or Input Monitoring is active on the track.
Flexed audio tracks using Monophonic or Slicing mode no longer produce clicks at tempo changes.
Takes and comping
Fade-ins are now applied when flatten and merge is performed on Comps.
Renaming a take that encompasses the entire length of an audio file no longer unexpectedly changes the file name.
Comps in Take Folders are now preserved when performing Cut Section Between Locators on a section that includes the end of one Take folder and the beginning of another, with a gap in-between.
Track Stacks
Record-arming a Track Stack now arms grouped audio tracks in a Track Stack it contains.
Dragging a subtrack out of a Track Stack that is assigned to a VCA now removes the assignment for the subtrack.
Fixes an issue where Track Stacks could sometimes be dimmed when some, but not all, subtracks are muted or off.
It's now possible to replace stacked instrument patches that are inside a Summing Stack with single track patches.
Track Alternatives
Loading a patch on a Summing Stack containing sub-tracks with Track Alternatives no longer causes inactive alternatives to be deleted.
Track Alternatives can now be created for the Stereo Output track.
Selection-Based Processing
Using Selection-Based Processing on a Marquee selected section within a Take Folder no longer creates an unexpected comp.
Selection-Based Processing on a comp now retains the comp.
Score
The spacing of notes is improved in cases where there is a dotted note on a line with the stem is pointing upward.
Command + Z to undo now works after deleting a Score Set.
Upward bends in TAB staves now display correctly.
Importing an instrument track no longer can cause Score Sets in the current project to disappear.
Imported Score Sets can now be deleted from a project.
Live Loops
“Join Region and Fill Cell” now works as expected.
Recording a performance in Live Loops now temporarily puts all tracks into Automation: Latch mode.
Fixes an issue where changing patches for a Live Loop track could cause the length of cells to change unexpectedly.
It's now possible to paste MIDI notes into a Live Loops cell.
Step Sequencer
It's now easier to use the disclosure triangle to open sub-rows in Step Sequencer.
Pattern regions now play back correctly immediately after being nudged.
Pattern Regions now immediately play as expected after using the Slip/Rotate tool to drag their contents to the left.
The “Separate pattern region by kit piece” command on Drum Machine Designer tracks is now applied to the correct area of the Pattern Region, in cases where the left border of the region has been moved to the right.
The length and number of steps of a newly created Pattern Region accounts for Time Signature changes correctly.
The maximum possible pattern length of a Pattern region is now 4 bars of the current time signature.
Step Sequencer now allows pattern lengths to be added based on 5/4 and 7/8 time signatures.
The Step Sequencer Inc/Dec controls now work in Loop Edit mode.

When MIDI 2.0 is selected in the Settings, clicking on an Event in the Event List no longer plays events back with MIDI 1.0 resolution.
Fixes an issue where using the Cut command in the Audio Track Editor could switch the view to another editor.
When a region in the Project Audio window is double-clicked, the Audio Track editor now opens as expected.

When No Overlap is enabled, regions bounced onto existing regions no longer overlap them.
Audio files bounced from Logic Pro now include the proper Encoded Date in the metadata.
Fixes an issue where MIDI regions could be truncated when bounced in place.
Fixes an issue where audio files including Volume/Pan automation exported from mono tracks that use plug-ins could export as stereo files.
It is now possible to bounce sub-channels of multitimbral instrument tracks as individual files.
Import
Resolves an issue when dragging multiple audio files into a project, choosing the “Place all files on one track” option could create a second track and places the first file on one track, and the rest on the second.
Output channels in the Mixer can now be imported from other Logic Pro projects.
Apple Loops
The Loops browser now correctly shows the same enharmonic key an Apple Loop was tagged with.
Apple Loops now preview using the Key Signature active at the current position of the playhead.
It's now possible to add Aliases to bookmarks and untagged loops.
Dragging an Apple Loop from the loop browser to an existing track no longer changes the input for the track.
Fixes an issue where MIDI Apple Loops could jump to the start of the nearest bar position when dragged from the Loop Browser to the middle of a bar.
Video Support
A secondary screen that is running a full screen video with Show Animations off will no longer remain black after closing the project.
Key Commands
The “Increase (or Decrease) last clicked parameter” key commands now work for controls in the LCD.
The “Record off for all” key command now works on Software Instrument tracks in cases where one or more audio tracks are also record-enabled.
There is now a key command to add to the current selection of regions or cells that are assigned to a toggle solo group.
The Zoom Toggle key command now works in the Step Editor.
Compatibility
GarageBand projects that use Pitch Correction now sound the same when opened in Logic Pro.
Undo
If Undo is used immediately after creating a project, the New Track Sheet is displayed as expected rather than leaving a project with no tracks.
Undo/Redo now works as expected with Audio Unit v3 plug-ins.
Changing the Automation Mode, or changing a Track On/Off state now creates an Undo step.
Performing Undo after adding a surround track no longer corrects Drummer tracks in the project.
Logic Remote
Logic Remote immediately updates to show time and signature changes made in Logic Pro.
Control Surfaces and MIDI controllers
Controls on Control Surface devices that use Lua scripts now provide feedback when learning assignments for them in Logic Pro.
Illuminated buttons on control surfaces now show the correct state for Show/Hide Track Editor.
General
The LCD now displays the Cycle start and end times in both SMPTE time and Bars/Beats when the secondary ruler is displayed.

1. Homework - they only takes up 15% of your final grade and are peer graded. The format is straightforward: here's the dataset, here's the problem, solve it using R (sometimes Excel). No strict right or wrong here, it's more about whether your peers think you've put in the effort and come to a decent conclusion. Some people write pages of analysis, some only have simple code and call it a day. How you score on your hw is up to your peers. Each Monday during office hours the TAs walk through how to approach the hw and provide you with some codes to start. Pro-tip: go to the TA office hours on Mondays. They break down how to tackle the homework and even throw some code your way. I have no prior experience in using R, so the first few weeks were pretty tough for me, but there're resources you can leverage. Give it your all early on, and the rest should flow smoother.
   
2. Exams (50% total) - 2 midterms, 1 final. I don't think the exams are memorization heavy at all. Rather, they test you on how well you understand a concept and its operations in the real world (and how well you read questions lol cuz the exam questions can be sooooo tricky). Taking good notes from the lecture videos and have a good understanding of each concept from the start is more important. Prepare for the exams early, create good cheat sheet. They don't give you many practice exam problems like CSE6040 does, they give you a taste of how the question format will be like and that's about it.
   
3. Course Project - peer graded just like the homework, you put in enough effort and have a reasonable conclusion, you're golden.

How to Use Cricut Maker to Make Personalized Apparel?

Finally, we are here to learn the process of creating personalized T-shirts. So, before we move on to the final steps, measure your blank so that you can create an appropriate design. So, let’s check how to use Cricut Maker for beginners.

Step 1: Upload an SVG File to Cricut Design Space

In the first and foremost step, you’ll need to upload your SVG design file to the Cricut software. If you want, you can create a design manually as well. Once you’re ready, just resize your design and make it fit to your blank.
As you’ll have to print this image, ensure that your Cricut machine will recognize it as a printable file and not a file to be cut. To ensure this, choose your image and hit the Flatten option beneath the Layers Panel.
After that, your Cricut machine will show a preview of the image. When you’re ready, just click the Make It button. And now, this design will go through a Print Then Cut feature. To access it, hit the Continue button.
In the next step, you’re allowed to send that image to your inkjet printer and select the paper type you want to print on. I prefer specialty matte. You can select one based on your printer. Get ready with your printer and insert the Siser EasyColor DTV into it.

Step 2: Start Cutting the Siser EasyColor DTV

In the following step, you’ll need to cut your material. On your Cricut machine, select your material as Premium Vinyl Permanent Glossy and set the pressure to More using the drop-down menu.
Next, load your vinyl material on the Cricut mat at the left-side corner and make it stick to the mat using a brayer tool. Now, load the mat with vinyl into the Cricut machine and hit the Play button to allow your Cricut to cut the image. Continue with the steps to learn how to use Cricut Maker.
Once the cut is done, take off the paper sheet from your mat, turn the mat over, and take the mat away from your DTV. Please note that you don’t have to peel off the DTV from the mat. You can also use a pair of scissors to cut the design if necessary.

Step 3: Weed Out the Excess Vinyl

Once you cut your design, you should weed out the excess vinyl from your design. Do this carefully, so that your design doesn’t ruin. This step will add more detail to your project.
Note: DTV material is light and fragile and can easily be pulled back from the sheet. Hence, you may need to cover it with a mask to prevent it from pulling away and not sticking again.

Step 4: Cover Your Image With a Mask

Since, you know that your design needs a mask to prevent itself from damage. I’ll recommend you to use the Siser EasyMask. Although, I struggled a bit, but soon I grasped the trick to use it.
Moving forward, cut your mask to the size of your design. Now, take off the transparent film from the mask and then apply the mask alone to your DTV image. Moreover, ensure that the final design is flat and that there are no air gaps between the mask and the design.
Afterward, scrape off the final design using a scraper tool. Use that tool on both sides of your design and then peel it away from your design.

Step 5: Transfer Your Design to Apparel

Then, you have your design covered with a transfer mask. It’s time to preheat your apparel using an EasyPress to a temperature of 340 F. To prevent your apparel from excessive heating, you can take a pillow and use it between the garment layers. After that, preheat your apparel for about 15 seconds before you finally transfer the design.
After preheating, you can add the final design on your onesie. Plus, again apply heating for 30 seconds, and this time you’ll finally transfer the design. After pressing the design for sometime, take away the mask sheet from the apparel. Make sure that your vinyl sticks perfectly to the apparel.

I successfully (duplex) printed one card on a sheet of blank Avery business cards (#5871), and I removed that card from the sheet. Attempting to print another (duplex) card, I fed the same sheet into my printer’s tray 1 (the multipurpose tray). Not too surprisingly, the printer jammed. Somewhat surprisingly (to me), it seems to be impossible to clear the jam.
The jam occurred just as the sheet was starting to exit through the slot above the output bin. I was able to grab and pull out small pieces of paper through that slot, but I believe most of the sheet is still inside the printer, possibly in fragments.
On the printer’s control panel, I thought I saw event code 13.10.04, but after power cycling a few times, I consistently see the following on the display:
Paper Jam Paper is jammed inside the printer. Open the rear door and clear any jammed paper. Event code 13.10.14.
I no longer see any paper peeking out of the exit slot above the output bin. I removed paper tray 2, extended the toner cartridge tray, and opened the user-accessible doors, but I don’t see any jammed paper anywhere. I suspect what’s left of my sheet is stuck near the exit slot. I don’t see any obvious way to get to that area from the back of the printer.
Do I need to hire a pro to unjam my printer, or is there something I’ve overlooked that I could try myself?

I failed J23 by 30 pts. My J23 breakdown is below:

• Essays averaged: 62.5
• MBE – local: 32.5%

I worked a full-time job (9-5) while studying for F24. I took 2 weeks off before the exam to study full time (I recommend doing this if you can as the last days are critical imo). I am notoriously bad at multiple choice and my MBE scores confirm so. My initial plan was to drill as many MBEs as possible, but as you will see below, my schedule changed over time.
This was my study plan (I started studying the day after the results came out in Nov):
The first 4 weeks (Nov – Dec)
Essays

• I read EVERY outline for EVERY subject (I did not watch a single lecture video as I know I do not learn well through videos). A colleague of mine had shortened outlines from the past that I relied on; however, I believe that if you took the time to read the Themis/Barbri, you would be in an even better position than I was.
• I did not spend much time doing essays during this time because I wanted to learn the law beforehand. I probably did a handful of outlines for a few subjects where my past knowledge was still pretty good (Ks, Real Property, PR) and for the most part, I did them open book.

MBE

• During these first few weeks, I also tried to do 5-10 MBE (uWorld) questions with the purpose of familiarizing myself with the question formats. Additionally, for every wrong question, I handwrote the rule and read the analysis. I did not like the Themis questions so I did not bother doing any of them.
• As for memorizing the law, I read and took notes of every Grossman transcript of the lectures. I probably learned the most from his lectures simply because of how easy they are to understand and his restraint on using lawyer language. He was straight to the point and even pointed out tricks to arrive at the correct conclusion from reading the call of the question alone. I HIGHLY recommend him.

The next 3 weeks

• I started doing open book essays. I did 3-4 essays a day. If you are exhausted, outline them. If you are too tired to outline, at least read the question, outline in your head, and read the sample answer.
• I also started doing MBEs more consistently. (10 a day)

January
Essays

• This is the part where I LEARNED.
• Buy a baressays.com membership. THIS IS NON-NEGOTIABLE.
  • If you rely on Barbri or Themis sample answers, you will not only feel stupid, lose confidence, but have unrealistic expectations. For those that aren’t already aware, the sample answers are perfected versions of the sample answers—meaning a group of very smart lawyers got together and revised the sample answers on the bar website to make it perfect. Do not rely on them. I am not completely opposed to reviewing them as they may expose you to small issues that can garner you extra points on the exam.
• Go on Baressays.com and read what a 70-75 looks like. You would be surprised just how bad a 70 is. You will not only learn what bar graders like to see in terms of structure, but also realize that a 70 is totally doable.
  • Do your essays and compare them to the essays on the website. This is how I graded my stuff.
• For the most part, 60% of my essays were detailed outlines, with the other 40% being fully written essays. This worked for me, but feel free to do what is best for you.

MBE

• My initial goal was 30 questions a day, but my schedule just did not allow it and I HATED doing the questions. Nonetheless, you should aim to do around 30 a day.
• I stopped handwriting the rules for my incorrect answers. However, I made sure to read EVERY analysis of my wrong answers. At this point, I was scoring 65-70% on average with the questions.

February
Essays

• Nothing changed, I was doing around 3-4 essays a day. I was doing well with spotting all issues, and I was mostly focused on getting as much exposure to the topics tested and honing my writing skills.
• I also began to study MagicSheets everyday to drill the last bits of each rule.

MBE

• To be honest, I SLACKED on MBEs. I tried to do 10-15 a day here. I was scoring 70-80% on average. I think I did one 100 question session and the rest were 15 question sessions.
• In lieu of doing questions, I bought GoatBarPrep’s bundle and read most of his material 3 days before the exam. This is probably the best advice I can give to my fellow MBE strugglers – will discuss more below.

My Advice:

Essays

• Do as many as possible—outline or actual essays.
• Use BarEssays.com to compare your essays with a 70-75 answer. This is probably the most valuable tip I have. Reading real answers will show you how to get there.
• You should be done or nearly done with every PR essay on Themis/Barbri before test day. It's literally guaranteed. Your PR should be a 75 for test day.
• You should be doing a PT EVERY WEEK. You should be getting at least 65-70 on these. These are worth double points. A good PT will make up for a shitty essay.
• ANALYSIS is the key to a passing essay. You can know the rule verbatim as the outline, but if you aren’t applying the facts, you will FAIL.
  • Every line after your rule statement should be this layout: “X because Y.”
• As much as analysis is important, make sure your essays look nice. Have headers and underlines/italics. Bar graders are lazy and sometimes will grade your essays by simply looking at headers. If you are crunched for time, write your headers for some easy points.
• This is already a given, but just in case, outline BEFORE you write. Its important to have a game plan for a few reasons. First, you won’t get lost. Second, you’ll remember exactly where you are and how much time to spend on each issue.
• This is not a "throw shit against the wall and see what sticks" exam. Read and understand the call. Make sure you have a detailed analysis of the main points to get maximum points.

MBE

• GoatBarPrep - u/SnooGoats8671 – I recommend reading the entire bundle at least three times before test day. Knowing his tricks alone will give you 15-20 questions correct on the exam. I can attest that I was giggling throughout the exam because I recalled his memes. His entire bundle is $300 but this is the BEST $300 I have spent. It is already so worth it for the price, but if you are strapped for cash, message him and he will likely work with you on pricing. Best person on Reddit, periodt.
• Grossman lectures – read them/take notes on them.
• You need to have an Adaptibar or uWorld. Do as many practice as you can, with the caveat of reading the rule of every incorrect answer. I had less than 500 done during my study period, but I was scoring 70-80% at the end. QUALITY over QUANTITY.

GENERAL ADVICE

• It is scientifically proven that studying in identical or similar conditions will best prep you for success. That being said, I studied only at home in quiet spaces. I do not recommend loud coffee shops, the beach (I saw people doing this ... and they failed F24), park etc.
• You need to have WHY. There will be times where you don't want to do this. I know I did-coming home from a 9-5 and knowing uWorld is waiting for me was terrible. But, I knew I wanted to be a lawyer and needed to make money. Reflect on your why and get to work.

• Grader – I was lucky to have a friend who was a bar grader to grade my exams. If you can, I think it’s worth hiring a bar grader to do so.

Bonus/RISKY!!!

• Like some people here, I ran across the predictions. I used Heilman and JDAdvising, while also reflecting on what was already tested in J23. In doing so, I made sure to extensively study the likely Feb subjects (Con law, civ pro, evidence). It paid off, but a lot of people got FUCKED because they did not think CP would be on the exam. Like mentioned above, I studied ALL subjects—this is the only way you will not be surprised.

Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, take care of yourself. I probably took 3 days off the entire study period, but don't be like me. You know yourself best and therefore, know what's best for you. If you are the type of person who needs a day a week to unwind/relax/reset, DO IT. However, you also need to understand that this is not the time to be going out drinking on the weekends. It's only 10ish weeks of sacrifice and when you look back, you will be glad you did so.

Update: I PASSED!!!
There are people asking how I studied so I’ll elaborate.
I did Jeremy’s IT lab and I took notes on blank sheets of paper for each video organising them in folders. The smallest topics (and by topics i mean individual videos - STP Part 1 and STP part 2 would be separate for example)were around 2 sheets of paper and the biggest around 7. I color coded each one plus a lot of arrows which help me process the info better. I have read through these notes countless times and they were my main study material.
I also bought the OCG books, but I never used them.
I bought Boson ExSim and NetSim, but I didn’t have time to do NetSim. I recommend paying attention and analysing the Boson ExSim practice exams as they were pretty similar to the real thing.
I did the Boson exams in a very short period of time like in 2 days I did all three separately and then read through the analysis of each question and writing down anything i am not familiar with.
My scores were: Boson 1: 763 Boson 2: 826 Boson 3: 883
Then after a week or two I did all three Boson exams combined and each question that i thought about for more than 3 seconds or wasn’t completely sure of the answer I read through the parts of my notes that were associated with it. This was very helpful as in this stage I feel like I memorised everything.
Regarding the score I got on the real exam - I for some reason did not get a score report, which was weird, but they sent an email that redirected me the pearson website where it says i passed.
I studied for about 6 months on and off and I had to pay attention to school and such. I have seen people study for way less time than me and pass, so maybe I overdid it a little bit, but that doesn’t matter.

Hey guys just wanted to share my story with you guys, I thought maybe it will inspire some of you to achieve your goals :). Just so you know I gave my JEE in 2023 (didn't take drop).
So till 10th class I was an average student or maybe a below average student. I usually use to get my percentage in the 70s and sometimes even touching 60s. Except LKG or 1st something (I don't remember) where I somehow got above 90%. I still don't understand how XD. And I was also really good at Maths. Other than that nothing special about my academics.
When covid hit in 2020 my 10th class had just started. I got completely distracted by the video games and youtube. And I didn't like the idea of cheating in exams. So this lead to a sudden decrease in my marks. Then when pre boards approached my father use to sit with me on call and teach me (He use to live somewhere else due to work). Slowly I was improving bit by bit and it was evident in the 3rd pre board that I am improving a bit (Yes, we had 3 pre boards because boards were taking forever to start). Still the improvement was not that big, slowly but surely I was improving. Then boards got canceled. My school gave marks based on pre boards. Unlike many schools who inflated the marks of their students. So at last I got 67.2% in 10th. I knew I could have done better if I was given a chance because I started so much better but that is life we cannot do anything about it. Sometimes you don't chance or you are too late.
I believe that I was in top 3 from the bottom in my school and my school have many student, just in 10th there would have been around 350 students. It was kind of soul crushing. I wanted PCM because of my interest in science but of course I was not getting that in my school. Initially, they were just giving humanities without maths, I couldn't get the subject I loved the most because I had really low marks in it. In fact I got the lowest marks in Maths, I think around 59 . Then later they agreed upon giving me commerce with Maths.
Back then I would have settled for less. But my mother knew I would do the best in PCM. She knew that is what I am good at so she decided to change my school. I got PCM there. That day I promised myself that I would not repeat the same and score good marks in 12th.
When I joined the school from the next day, they had their school running for 1 month already whereas, in my previous school it just started. So i was lagging behind by a lot. Also my father got me Aakash, which he just bought without discussing with me, thinking that it might come handy for my preparation.
Then I started studying regularly and attending my classes properly even though it was still online. I started taking studies more seriously. Then 1st exam of 11th approached, they were on weekly bases. Exam on every Monday. So I use to study hard the for 1 week for whichever exam was next. Again I didn't cheat in my exams but since my 10th didn't go that well and I joined late, it was hard to cope up with the studies so it didn't go well. I got my marks and all the subject's score was below 50% except physical education because well that's really easy.
Then just before the mid term exam I decided to leave Aakash even though my parents had given the complete fees for it. It was because I didn't find it adding value to my studies. It just felt like a waste of time to me. So I decided to study on my own for the rest of the 11th. I also opted to give mid term offline as the school was giving me an option for it and I was pretty serious about doing better. This time my marks improved a little bit but still the marks weren't good.
Then during the post mid term exam my marks increased a bit more significantly and specially in Maths. Physics, Chemistry and English were still a weak point.
After that exam, my school decided to conduct final exam in offline mode of everybody, no option to opt in or out. I got 79.7% just 0.3% off my goal for 11th. But still I was happy that I had come a long way and improved so much but I was still not happy about not being able to reach my goal. But now only physics was the main weak point. Fun fact: In that exam only 13 out of 29 in my class passed it and some other sections way less students passed.
When 12th started I got 2 home tutor for maths and physics each. , only for the board level. For 12th I had a goal to get more than 95%. From the starting I started studying regularly. Bit by bit I improved a lot. I had created such an identity that whenever somebody in school use to ask my percentage in 10th nobody use to believe that I got 67.2%. They use to think I am lying, even my class teacher thought that for once XD.
Then pre boards approached in November and I did pretty decent. I knew I am doing great. Up until then, I never touched JEE after leaving Aakash. Around 2-3 weeks before JEE I decided that since I am already great for boards I should prepare for JEE. I prepared for it and gave my first session and got 87%ile. Not a lot but for the efforts I was happy. Then I shifted my focus back to boards.
I gave my boards and it went great!! I took a few days break and then decided to get back to preparing for JEE. Studied for upto and sometimes more than for 12 hours a day for 2-3 weeks. 1-2 days before JEE I took a complete break from it so that my mind isn't exhausted during the exam. Then I gave my JEE and got 94.1%ile, about 66k rank. I was really happy with it, considering that I only gave a few weeks to JEE. Then my boards result came, I got 95.6%. Finally I had achieved my goals!!! I was really happy on those 2 days! It was like a festive season in my home when boards result came in. I am really proud of my self for achieving those things.
Then I got into MAIT, took CSE as I am interested in that. Currently about to finish my 1st year. There are still so many things I want to achieve and seeing my loved ones getting happy for my achievements, it makes me more motivated to achieve those goals.
So remember there is always the bright side on the other end, you just have to work to get to it!! And I know you guys can do it! Just don't forget why you are working for it!

Edit: A pro tip, you can always write your goal of a A4 sheet in big letters and paste in front of your study table's wall. Help you not deviate from your goal and when you feel demotivated, it helps you get back to work.

Hoping to get somewhere in the 170s in august but I’ve Been really nervous about sitting down to take a practice test. I really thought that if I did poorly I would take a month off.

Hi /pmp fam! Let me just say THANK YOU to this sub for all the support, tips & tricks, general anxiety easing and lessons learned from others on their PMP journey. A little background on me. I've been working in a project coordinatomanager capacity for over 10 years, but in an industry that is different than most traditional ones and want to move out to make myself more desirable in other arenas.
I took the exam on Wednesday, and passed AT/T/AT!!
First step: Earn them 35 hours of project management education/training!

• I used Andrew Ramdayal's Udemy PMP Certification Exam Prep Course
  • Like many, find this when they're doing a sale! Super affordable and provides the 35 training hours required.
  • He does give you a LOT of information, so depending on your strengths/weaknesses, you may want to rewatch sections.
  • My main complaint is that some of the quizzes contained poor grammar.

Now for the studying!

• David McLachlan Youtube Videos: These are an incredible resource! I love DM's style of breaking down the questions and reviewing the answers to show you his process for getting the BEST correct answer. He's also got an overall pleasant demeanor and is really encouraging.
• I watched these two videos in particular, pausing on each question to determine my answer BEFORE he went through the options. This helped me develop more of the mindset, and also helped me understand HOW to read this questions. This was the biggest takeaway honestly.

PMI STUDY HALL

• I cannot stress the helpfulness of the PMI Study Hall Practice Exams enough. Between the practice questions, the multiple bite-size mini exams, and the two full-length mock exams, these were instrumental. Also, it's MINDSET TRAINING!!!!
• The actual content of the Study Hall is not as beneficial and frankly I barely touched it. I found DM's videos way & Third3Rock's notes WAY more helpful.
• I purchased the Essentials plan, and feel it was sufficient. If you feel you need more practice exams, maybe go for the Plus but I didn't feel it was necessary.
• My mock exam scores were: 76% and 80%. Many people on this sub how they said the exam was easier than these, but I didn't feel that way, but these mock exams prepared me for the real deal. More on the actual exam below!

THIRD3ROCK notes

• Reddit user Third3Rock's notes! THIS!!! The hype is real!!! Not only are they SUPER affordable - you deserve more than a coffee, dude - they are concise, easy to read, and really digest down what you need to know.
• It was nice to have a resource that contained all of the info broken down. That was the biggest thing by which I would get overwhelmed.

ChatGPT - no, seriously!

• For me, sometimes I got bogged down in the verbiage understanding the terms and concepts that (to me). So I used ChatGPT as a way to say "Hey, tell me the [insert question here...e.g. "differences between agile, predictive, hybrid"] - but as if I am a 5 year old." - and the replies were all relating it to pirates, legos or sandcastles which honestly helped me conceptualize the terms further!

EXAM APPLICATION

• Do your due diligence and fill out the application properly. Put your experience as it relates to PMI terms, too.
• Overall, this was roughly a 4-month process. I started my studying journey in mid-late January 2024, applied for the exam in March, and scheduled for the exam in May 2024...

EXAM DAY!!

• OMG IT IS HERE! I'm a nervous test taker. I have always struggled with standardized test anxiety and really was worried about it. Let my experience calm your nerves if you have them.
  • Pro-tips here:
    • Get a good night's sleep, shut it down early the night before.
    • Limit cramming - you got dis.
    • Limit caffeine the morning of the test if it amps up your anxiety.
    • Eat a good, nutritious meal beforehand and pack a snack for your break!
    • Breathe. Anytime you feel you're getting overwhelmed, close your eyes and BREATHE.
• I decided to take it in person at a Pearson VUE center. If you have this option, DO IT. The distractions at home would be too much, plus ANY of the technical risk is on the center not you.
  • I found the exam room quiet (noise-cancelling headphones were provided), people taking their own exams of all kinds really put me in the zone.
  • Take your breaks!!! Seriously. Let your eyes and brain take a breather. Grab a drink of water, use the bathroom, have a snack, get lip balm...whatever.
  • They gave me an erasable marker & laminated note paper. Once I sat down, I wrote down any formulas, mnemonic device triggers, acronyms, etc to get them outta my head and onto a page for reference.
  • If you're like me and suffer from spring allergies, I was anxious about not being able to take in a tissue. Luckily the proctor team did allow me to get one from their box at the testing room area!
• EXAM THOUGHTS!
  • I found that the PMI Study Hall Mock Exams were incredibly beneficial to preparing me to take. the actual exam. It gets you in the habit of sifting through detractor answers and such.
    • My mock exam scores were: 76% and 80%.
  • Many on this sub have said they thought Study Hall was harder - I didn't have that opinion. I thought the exam was perhaps a bit harder in ways.
  • When you're done, they'll hand you a paper (face down!) with your provisional score. I received my official score (AT/T/AT) less than 24 hours later!
  • Biggest tip: Have an action plan for your time. You get 230 minutes to complete 180 questions broken down as: 60 questions > 10 min break > 60 questions > 10 min break> 60 questions. I thought I had done pretty well pacing-wise, then was rushing to complete the last questions and barely could review many I had flagged in the final section! Make sure you keep an eye on your time so you can get all your reviews in!

I'm a classical musician and I finally took the plunge, bought a 12.9 Pro with the pencil, and moved all my scores and sheet music to the realm of the digital this past January. So far I am just loving it. I see a lot of discussion in the iPad space about artists, illustrators, editors, gamers, and general note-takers, but rarely anyone who uses their iPad as a replacement for sheet music. It's very common, at least in the musician communities I am in, so I'm just wondering if any of you are lurking around here!
If you don't already use it, I HIGHLY recommend the app ForScore for viewing and organizing your music, especially if you have a lot of gigs to juggle. Besides that, are there any other ways you use your iPad optimally to make for a good music-making experience? Definitely let me know.

Alright, so you received your N4Plus/N4+. You've followed the instructions to a tee. You've even managed to print the presliced models using the GCode files that came with machine. Congratulations! However, you've started to realize that your own sliced files aren't printing so well. Or, you're looking to take the next steps toward better printing.
There are too many people for shoutouts, but let's just say that this is standing on the shoulders of everyone who posted similar topics before. Please note that these are recommendations, and you'll get different answers from different people regarding different topics, but here is what I found worked best for me as of May 2024.
This is not all-inclusive, but I'll update as I find more things need to be added. For the most part, I won't get into 3D printing terminology. There are exhaustive sources out there.
I should also note that there are many posts here and there referring to de-Elegooizing the printer, switching to stock Klipper firmware, etc. This guide does not go into that but you should check those out to decide if that's right for you.

• At a minimum, subscribe to these reddits:
  1. ElegooNeptune4
  2. ElegooNeptune4Plus
  3. FixMyPrint
• Join the Discord at https://discord.com/invite/shv7ZWyzdP . I can't stress this enough. Along with the occasional official Elegoo help, there are a large number of people there to help you, like more than you'll find here. You'll also get notified of the fairly regular Elegoo contests.
• Bookmark the Elegoo Official Youtube Channel. There you'll find videos showing how to do various things, such as change the nozzle properly.
• Check out this Neptune 4 Plus collection over at Printables. You'll find many models that you may wish to print at a later date to improve your printer. Just don't print more for your printer than you do for yourself, unless that's what makes you happy. Thingiverse has some as well, but most have been carried over to Printables.
• I very strongly recommend switching to using OrcaSlicer. The version of Cura put out by Elegoo is quite outdated. OrcaSlicer includes various features not yet implemented by Cura, and some of the infills are better. You'll likely find that the calibration presets are worth it alone. (Plus, you can always still use Cura or another slicer after calibrating.) A few months ago, OrcaSlicer released very good default profiles for the Neptune 4 Plus, along with generic Elegoo branded filament profiles. Every filament you use will need its own calibration profile to print well. OrcaSlicer combines the calibration models of various people into one great setup and calibration guide. You can also try using the latest version of Cura and creating or finding a printer profile for it. Cura's not my cup of tea, but it's been around for awhile and has loads of fans.
• What filament should you use first? It's generally recommended you start with PLA, PLA Plus, Rapid PLA Plus (or even PLA Pro). Different manufacturers use different terminology and even with the same terminology they are all different. I don't recommend starting with silk PLA or rainbow PLA as those are more difficult to print. Different filaments have different flow rates. Don't expect to reprint the benchy shipped with the printer using regular PLA at the same speed and quality as Rapid PLA Plus.
• Connect your printer to wifi or directly to your router via RJ45 if you haven't already. Make note of the IP address. You may prefer to designate this IP address through your router's interface so that it doesn't change every time the printer reconnects (say, after shutting down and turning it back on). Chances are you'll never want to load a file on a USB flash drive when you have a networked connection. Note: when you send files to the printer, they get stored on the printer's internal memory first. The computer doesn't need to remain connected, but it's recommended for quick access to the Fluidd interface.
• Note early on: Do NOT ever start a print, home the print head, start calibration, etc., without the magnetic PEI plate on the bed. The inductive probe uses this sheet to know when it's getting close to the bed, so if it's not there, you'll hear the sweet sounds of the stepper motors grinding the hotend into the bed, leaving a nice little dent. Many have fared well after such an event, but don't let it happen and you won't have to worry about it.
• You'll likely want to swap out the bed springs for silicone spacers. The spacers seem to hold the manual bed leveling better as they have less play. You'll find many people writing about no longer having to do a manual level, create a bed mesh, or even change the z-offset frequently after switching to silicone spacers. I run the process to check the mesh about once a month since switching. These are the ones I purchased, and I did not have to modify them to fit. They will squeeze the bed insulation. You can wait to do this after printing for awhile, if you decide to get them. The below steps for leveling the bed don't take very long so it's not going to set you back more than an hour. You'll note that some people have chosen to keep the springs because they still work, or because of the theoretical safety reason of the nozzle slamming into a slightly springier bed. However, I'm not truly sure that's a justifiable reason.
• Update your printer's firmware if it's not already up-to-date. Then update the screen's firmware. Note that I wrote these in two separate sentences. That's because there are numerous posts on Reddit and Discord asking why the printer doesn't work after updating the firmware, and it's because it's easy to overlook the second part of the firmware updating process, despite the instructions saying it. It's really easy to stop reading after the printer firmware is updated, thinking you finished. You can get the firmware updates through the Discord or via the Elegoo website. Read through the instructions completely before starting the process. You'll need a microSD card (the printer comes with one, and the USB adapter to use with the computer) and a USB flash drive (which it also comes with).
• If you haven't checked screws all over the machine to make sure they're tight, do this now. However, don't tighten down the screws around the brass bushings that attach the x gantry with the print head to the lead screws. These are meant to have a little slack. There are many videos and posts about this.
• Check the pom wheels. These are the wheels that run along the aluminum extrusions and act as a guide. The bed should not jiggle when you go to move it. You may need to adjust the pom wheels. Not all pom wheels need adjusting and therefore not all have eccentric nuts. (The small nuts right under the bed are NOT the ones to adjust.) You may need to adjust the ones on gantry as well so that they can move slightly but don't really slip on there own. There is a video on the Elegoo YouTube channel about this.
• Check your belts. I haven't found a definitive source on how tight they should be, or even how to measure it, but there are many videos out there and you should watch a few. Too tight, and you'll wear them down prematurely. Too lose, and you may get some skipping leading to artifacts in the prints. I've been told that the belts can become loose over time, more than just from stretching, but also from the vibrations loosening the knobs. There are small printable "locks" on Printables.com and Thingiverse for the X and Y belt adjustment knobs.
• Download Bed Leveler 5000. The creator has many YouTube videos walking you through the setup and use of this fantastic manual leveler. This software is to assist you in the manual leveling portion of your calibration, without using paper. Take note that you aren't actually "leveling" the bed, but "tramming" it. You'll see both terms used interchangeably. Manually leveling the bed, which you likely did in the initial setup, is key to getting a great bed mesh, and a great bed mesh is key to minimizing minute hotend movements, thereby increasing the chances of a quality print. It also reduces the work of the stepper motors, though the jury is out on how much that matters in the long run.
  • Follow the instructions on the page and watch the videos to learn how to do the manual portion of the tramming process.
  • Note: You'll find people reference using SCREWS_TILT_CALCULATE, but more and more people are switching to BL5000 as it's faster.
  • Note 2: Probes are not perfect and the inductive probe on your Neptune 4 Plus is definitely not an exception. You can probe the same location multiple times and get different values each time for distance to the bed. However, the one supplied with the printer is in range for what's considered acceptable variation. Therefore, do not strive for "perfection" when running a bed mesh or a manual tramming. It's just not possible, nor is it required. Just aim for very good. The precision of the filament being squished through the extruder likely has a higher tolerance for what's considered acceptable, so being perfect at the bed level won't fix this anyway.
• Connect to your printer through your browser or slicer by using the IP address assigned to it by your router. It will generally be something such as 192.168.1.XX. This is the Fluidd interface, which uses the Moonraker API to connect to your printer. Many people choose to use this over the screen on the printer, as it's faster and has more features. You can edit the configuration files, set the z offset, change virtually every setting on the printer you need to, upload and print files, create a bed mesh, etc. However, for the automatic bed mesh creation process, I still recommend using the printer's screen. Your printer uses an Elegoo version of the Klipper firmware.
• Go into the settings on the printer's screen and change the automatic bed leveling (ABL) to advanced mode. This takes longer, but 121 points for a bed mesh will definitely give you a better mesh.
• Run the automatic bed leveling as described in the initial setup for the printer. This creates a bed mesh that Klipper will use by default. (If you opt to use the Fluidd interface for the bed mesh, you'll likely want to edit the configuration file for the printer as it doesn't use that many points by default. More information is available via the Klipper documentation. You could also choose to use the same number of points, but then use interpolation.) You can view the bed mesh created by the screen or by Fluidd, using, well, Fluidd. You'll see the variance there as well. Most people consider a variance of less than 0.2 acceptable, but it's an arbitrary number.
  • Remember, the bed mesh is created so that the printer can account for abnormalities in the bed and printing surface shape by moving the print head vertically. Small variations are going to exist, and the bed mesh will let the printer keep plugging away without stumbling on them. There is a version of this where instead of moving the print head up and down, it can extrude more or less filament to make a perfectly flat first layer, but I'm not aware of any printers currently using this method.
• Great, so now your bed is trammed. What next? Now we should calibrate for your filament. In reality, you can likely print okay now, but we're striving for better, so we can print larger more complex models.
  • OrcaSlicer has the built-in calibration models that automatically change the GCode. Just remember to click "New project" if you decide to print something, or use a new calibration model, or the old settings may be applied to your new model. There is a calibration guide there as well.
  • There are three main 3D printer calibration guides (in addition to the OrcaSlicer guide, which explains how but not necessarily why). I highly recommend you read through them before getting your hands dirty calibrating for your filament. I will not try to create my own guide here.

  • Remember that once you find a setting, you need to update that setting in your filament profile. This is different for each slicer. You don't want to find that your PLA prints best at 205C, but then mistakenly run the next calibration scheme at 215C. Or, you find that a certain filament runs best with a pressure advance of 0.048 but then forget to enter it, or enter it and then forget to check the override box to actually use the value you entered.
  • In short, you're looking to calibrate the printing temperature, the flow rate, the pressure advance, the max flow rate (which will determine the max speed of printing for each filament), and sometimes the retraction settings.
• In those calibration guides, you'll find PID tuning. Do this! There is Klipper documentation but All3DP has a good guide as well. It's for the bed and the nozzle. You can actually run the nozzle PID right from the printer screen if you choose to go this route.
  • You will need to do this whenever you change the nozzle to a different material or size. You can "comment out" the previous ones and label them so you don't have to keep running this calibration, as it takes time. Just remember to change them back later.
• Through the printer's screen, there is an option in the Settings > Advanced Settings menu to calibrate the input shaping. Do this (while there aren't cars or trains going by your house, or kids running by your printer)! This will help the printer compensate for vibrations that it causes.
• Before printing a model, you will need to set the z-offset. There are two main ways to do this. One is to do the paper or feeler gauge method (which includes just looking at it to see how much light comes through. The other is to adjust on the fly. For those of you new to 3D printing, the easiest way to understand z-offset is that it's the difference between what the computeprinter "thinks" is zero distance between the nozzle tip and the printing surface, and what the actual distance is. If the printer thinks it's touching the bed, but the nozzle is actually 1.850mm above the bed, then theoretically you'd set the z-offset to -1.850mm. Now, while the definition is as simple as this, the reality is a little bit different. One reason the z offset may change is because you change the thickness of the printing surface. Perhaps you bought a new magnetic sheet to try out and it's a different brand. The thickness will be different. With the textured sheet, squishing the filament into the nooks and crannies requires that the first layer print slightly closer to the bed than if it was as smooth as glass. Some filament types work better with less squish, and therefore a nozzle that's farther from the bed.
  • Temperature causes materials to expand and contract. If you set your z-offset while the nozzle and bed are cold (because it's safer), know that the nozzle will likely be closer to the bed when it heats up. This is why feeler gauges and paper is used. It assumes a certain expansion.
  • After using both methods extensively, I highly recommend changing z-offset on the fly, with a model dedicated to this purpose. Here is a fantastic one, as it prints a few lines, then prints only on the left or right so you can see what's going on. You will need to change the infill direction to be 0 or 90 degrees (going left to right) in your slicer before slicing to use it properly. Each slicer has a slightly different way of doing this.
  • Get used to the image at this post. You will need to know whether you're too far from or too close to the bed to know which way to go. This takes practice and experience so don't fret if you don't get it perfect the first 107 times.
  • You can use Fluidd or the printer screen to adjust z-offset while it's printing. Fluidd has finer adjustments.
  • The bed falling out of level/tram will also screw up the z-offset. If you find that your z-offset keeps changing, it's more likely that the bed is changing and you should rectify that first.
• Let the bed heat soak before printing. The Neptune 4 Plus has a medium size bed, but you might find that the first layer adhesion is better if you bring the bed up to temperature and let it sit for 3-5 minutes before printing. This lets the entire bed even out temperature wise. If you really want to get lost in the weeds, you can use a thermal imager to see what I mean. It's not a 4 Max, so 20-30 minutes is likely unnecessary, but as someone who used to always jump straight into printing in a house that's usually 60-65F, I found that it made a difference. What's a few more minutes of prep so save a much larger headache?
• If you touch the PEI sheet with your hands, clean it with dish soap, and thoroughly rinse and dry it before placing it back on the bed. The oil on your hands is enough to keep the filament from sticking. You'll find that after calibrating and setting z-offset, parts of your print may lift of the bed, or you end up with spaghetti simply because of this. Dish soap is meant to release these oils from the surface to allow rinsing with water.
• Be sure to check that you are using the correct printer profile, the correct nozzle size profile, and the correct filament profile before slicing.
• You may need to level your gantry, though chances are it's already level enough. Here's a method.
• Have fun printing!

Other things to know/remember

• Maybe this should be at the beginning of the article, but don't download GCode that isn't created for your printer and filament. Instead, download the model and slice it yourself.
• Don't leave your printer unattended before seeing that the first few layers are adhering and printing as expected.
• This printer has a pause feature. The default firmware config extrudes 100mm of plastic and "shakes" to knock off the filament poop when you resume. This allows you to change filaments. You can change the way this happens in the Klipper config file and there are posts about this.
• In Fluidd, there is a preview of the Gcode. You can click the file and choose to preview it. It will show you where you are in the print. If enabled in your slicer, you can exclude objects from the print by clicking the cancel sign, even in the middle of printing. This may sound useless but it's very powerful. If you're printing multiple objects at once and one starts to fail mid print, you can pause it (though you don't have to, but it's easier to clean the gunk of plastic on the extruder and clear any spaghetti) and exclude that object before continuing. It will continue printing the rest of the objects so you don't lose the entire print.
• The files listed in Fluidd > Jobs are actually stored in the printer memory. It does fill up. You can click the frame button there to expand the list and delete many at once. You can also change names and create folders.
• This printer is a bed slinger. With tall and top-heavy models, it also becomes a plastic slinger. Use supports and don't be afraid to use height modifiers or manual changes to decrease the speeds as you get higher. An extra few hours of print time is worth not having to restart a print that's too far gone.
• Nozzles can loosen with the vibration of the printer. If you start to notice excessive stringing, this could be a sign of a loose nozzle. It's also helpful to check it while it's hot every now and then (once a month?). It can help you avoid one of the many various causes of a blob of death.
• A 3D printer melts plastic at a very high temperature, for an extended period of time. Some people like to mount fire suppression balls over the printer so as to avoid burning down their home in the middle of the night.
• When a large print fails, it's not necessarily a complete loss. You can use the slicer to cut out the model part that already printed. Then clean up the failed print and glue the two parts together. If you're planning to sand and paint anyway, this is especially important to remember.
• Remember that screws, pom wheels, and belts become loose with time, especially in the beginning, so if you notice that it's starting to print poorly, don't forget to check these.
• You can use a heat gun to fix the stringing or your prints after the fact. The same gun can melt and deform the plastic, ruining your print. More importantly, it can also melt and deform you, ruining your modeling career. Be careful.
• The N4+ uses a longer nozzle than most, allowing it to print at higher speeds. You can purchase these (they are the same size used for the N4Max) at AliExpress. Elegoo also sells brass nozzles as of the time this is written, available on their store and through their Amazon store. At least in the U.S., they come to about USD $1 per nozzle, and it's a variety pack.
  • If you change the nozzle size, you'll need to recalibrate.
• The extruder rotation is likely already set correctly so you shouldn't have to adjust this, if you find anything that says otherwise.
• Popular opinion: You shouldn't need a gluestick with a textured PEI sheet and PLA. While glue is used to create a slightly porous (and therefore easier to adhere to) surface on smooth sheets, your textured PEI is already doing this. If your PLA isn't sticking, one of your settings is likely incorrect, usually the temperature of the extruder or the bed, the z-offset, the initial layer height, etc.. The gluestick can actually screw with your adhesion, so it's not worth the trouble most of the time.
  • In addition, PETG sticks extremely well. I find that when calibrated, the PETG releases quite well from the textured PEI sheet, provided the first layer isn't too close to the bed. However, some people use the gluestick to create a barrier between PETG and the textured PEI so that it releases more easily.
  • If you're going to use it, make sure it's a very thin layer (you may need to thin it out after putting it on), and let it dry before printing.
  • I should note that some people swear by it, but you should really try to get your printer working well without it so you don't need to worry about it.
• Unpopular, but justified opinion: Don't bother using isopropyl alcohol (IPA) on your PEI sheet. If what you have is over 90% (and it likely isn't if you bought it in the store), you can feel free to give it a shot, after wiping it and letting it dry completely. However, I have found that the lower percentages are variable in how many contaminants are in the bottle, even if they list pure water as the only other ingredient. So, some will work while others won't. IPA separates the fatty acid chains to make them easier to clean off, but many will still remain on the plate. Another argument people use is that it cleans the plastic off the plate. Most people print at home with PLA or PETG, and alcohol does not dissolve these, so therefore can't be used for this either. I have wasted countless hours trying to figure out why filament isn't adhering to a PEI sheet freshly cleaned with soap and water and then wiped with IPA. Then I just go clean off the residue from the IPA and it adheres quite nicely. If it works for you (and some bottles absolutely have for me), then go for it. However, you don't need to clean between every print anyway, so why not just clean every now and then with soap and water and leave it at that. A single failed print due to IPA is more than the time and energy put into cleaning it.

Again, this is not an all-inclusive list, and I'll likely add to it over time.

Now that the Flyers know they will be picking 12th Overall I wanted to take a look at who the Flyers could have the opportunity to pick there. As many of you may know, this draft is pretty topsy-turvy with little consensus beyond Celebrini going first overall, but as Bob McKenzie pointed out, that doesn't mean there isn't some agreement where some guys should land. There is some agreement that after Celebrini there are five players (Ivan Demidov, Sam Dickinson, Artyom Levshunov, Cayden Lindstrom, and Anton Silayev) that are typically seen as a tier above the next group. Not saying these guys will go picks 2-6, but they will all very likely be top 10 picks.
After that is when things get harder to predict with a large group of about 7 players that are all in a tier of their own. I'll also mention that Bob McKenzie on twitter gave an explanation as to why his recent draft ranking went to 15 and not 16, saying that he asks scouts for their top 10 and there was more consensus among the scouts he surveyed for those top 15 players. He mentioned he could have put a 16th skater, there were just fewer people that had that player in the top 10. I won't focus on McKenzie's 14th and 15th ranked skaters (late rising Beckett Sennecke and Trevor Connelly who comes some concerning off-ice issues), and instead focus on the players Bob McKenzie has ranked 7th-13th, but who could potentially be drafted anywhere between 2nd and 15th. I'll also add in one player who isn't listed on McKenzie's rankings, but I could see the Flyers picking up (if he is even on the board when they pick).
I'll list them in order of McKenzie's rankings but also give their Elite Prospects (EP) consolidated ranking, as well as the range of where they are ranked on other lists. I'll then give who I think who will be available when the Flyers pick.
Zayne Parekh - 6'0 RHD - Saginaw Spirit (OHL) EP consolidated ranking: 10, Range: 3-13 Parekh got on a lot of radars last year by setting the record for most goals by a 16 year old defenseman in the OHL. He followed that up with the highest scoring draft year for a defenseman in the OHL in over 30 years. Parekh is arguably the most offensively dynamic player in the draft after Celebrini. He has great speed that he pairs with very fluid skating, similar to someone like Cale Makar, and he pairs that with great hands and great shot, and amazing offensive vision and instincts. He can create offense on the rush, standing at the point, and reading the opportunities and collapsing in to overwhelm defenders. While is offense is off the charts his defensive zone play is quite the struggle. You see this narrative a lot with these types of defenseman, but with Parekh I feel like if he was even just a little bit better at D he would be in that next tier up where bigger guys like Levshunov and Dickinson provide high level defense as well as put up great offensive numbers. Parekh has drawn comparisons to Erik Karlsson, but there is a thinner line than you'd expect between Erik Karlsson and Tony Deangelo. And the line between those guys isn't as much about how they correct their defense, but if their offense can really reach another level.
Zeev Buium - 6'0 LHD - Denver Pioneers (NCAA) EP Consolidated: 9, Range: 5-16 Buium was a late riser coming out of a solid, but not exceptional 16/17 year old season with the NTDP. That changed when he got to Denver where he started taking minutes from more established players, eventually becoming the team's top D in route to a National Championship. He also played a major role in helping the US win Gold at the World Juniors. While he doesn't have the insane offense of Parekh, he is still likely the second best offensive defenseman in the draft. Buium has the added benefit of being much more sound defensively than Parekh, with Buium's defensive awareness that may not put him on a level of someone like Sam Dickinson, but it's still an attribute and it's highly likely he'll be able to improve his defense going forward. He isn't very physical and can lose puck battles against bigger and stronger opponents, and he doesn't have the nasty streak that sometimes pops up in Parekh's game, but beyond that it's hard to find holes in his game.
Konsta Helenius - 5'11 C - Jukurit (Finland) EP Consolidated: 8, Range: 3-19 Helenius is one of the most well rounded forwards in the draft. He has high marks in pretty much every attribute, skating, shooting, vision, defense, compete, even physicality with is a lot of an undersized guy who has spent the majority of the last two seasons playing in a pro league that has, of recently, not been friendly to underaged players - or at least to their draft stock. In the last ~5 years Finns would come in ranked highly then see their draft stock fall over the year as they didn't put up numbers in the SM-liiga. Aatu Raty famously went from a projected top 10 pick to being drafted halfway through the second round. Raty is now back to being considered a strong prospect and the guy who turned him around was former NHLer and Jukurit coach Olli Jokinen. Jokinen has done a good job reaching younger players, including helping Samu Tuomaala getting back on track, which explains why Helenius scored at a rate similar to former 2nd Overall picks Kaapo Kakko and Patrik Laine. One player that Helenius reminds me of from last draft is Dalibor Dvorsky, a player that has high marks in everything, but no one defining attribute (Dvorsky is also 2 inches taller). Dvorsky is a player I'd have been happy with the Flyers taking if Michkov didn't reach them, and if Helenius falls to them he could be a great steal.
Tij Iginla - 6'0 LW - Kelowna Rockets (WHL) EP Consolidated: 13, Range: 6-23 A lot of times, the sons of famous players don't play a similar style to their fathers, Max and Tie Domi being the most obvious example. Iginla, though, does have a lot the attributes that made Jarome a Hall of Famer. The most noticeable is the shot, while his name has always drawn attention to him, his shot is what has kept eyes on him. A heavy shot with a quick release and accurate to boot. Also like his dad, he's a hard worker, the kind of player that can be tough to deal with no matter where on the ice he is. He mixes with that a level of toughness that doesn't usually result in massive hits, but the ability to win puck battles and fight through hits to get to space. While he can snipe, he doesn't rely on staying away from contact to score goals. He also has a high hockey IQ which makes him a pretty dangerous player, even though he is not particularly fast. Of the players in the top part of the draft he is probably the one who is the most raw all around. This could be an attribute with a high growth potential (his dad also famously bloomed a little late), but it could also lead to harsher judgement of those shortcomings considering his name brings with it high expectations.
Berkly Catton - 5'11 C - Spokane Chiefs (WHL) EP Consolidated: 6, Range 3-15 Catton is on the top of a lot of people's wish lists going into the draft and it's obvious to see why. He's a dynamic skater with great both great speed and excellent mobility. He's got a great shot and a quick release which helped him score 54 goals in 68 games in the WHL this season. But he is likely a better playmaker than he is a scorer, as his great vision, crisp passes, and maneuverability could make him an elite player at the next level. He is closest player to Claude Giroux in this draft year which would immediately endear him to Flyers fans. But one issue could be last year's most Giroux-esc player, Zach Benson, who fell from being ranked in the 5-7 range to being picked at 13th Overall. This could show teams don't value undersized centers, but given Benson's immediate impact for the Sabres in his draft I think a lot of teams will be more open to taking this type of player. That said he has been slipping down rankings recently, partially because of a slightly underwhelming playoffs (he got 4 points as Spokane was swept) and was too old for the U18 tournament so he couldn't make a lasting impact.
Carter Yakemchuk - 6'3 RHD - Calgary Hitmen (WHL) EP Consolidated: 16, Range: 10-24 Yakemchuk is interesting, because while he should be right in the Flyers wheelhouse (Ranked 12th in McKenzie's ranking, 14 of 17 rankings still have him available when the Flyers picked) but I actually think Yakemchuk will likely go a lot higher than people may expect. The draft is stacked with defenseman, even defensemen that combine size, physicality, and offense, so it could be easy to see why Yakemchuk is slightly further down the list, but some of his attributes could make him jump over some of the guys in the next tier up. Yakemchuk was better than point per game in the WHL, he was also the first draft eligible defenseman in the league to score 30 goals in over 20 years. While not the most fluid skater compared to some of the other D, he has great puck skills and great straight, paired with his size and line speed that allows him to rush the puck up ice easily. He mixes this with good physicality that makes him tough to deal with in the defensive zone (but would likely bring the dread "they picked a Flyer" comments on the draft broadcast). There is some question in his decision making, whether that is an Achillies heel or just something to work through will be something the Flyers have to decide. But that is the big lynch pin, if it's a fixable issue Yakemchuk is a 1st pair D, if it's not he could be a NHL/AHL tweener.
Cole Eiserman - 6'0 LW - USNTDP EP Consolidated: 14, Range: 2-16 Eiserman is probably the most interesting name on the list. Coming into the season he was the clear number 2 with some even speculating that he could overthrow Celebrini by the end of the year. Instead he has a precipitous drop, in McKenzie's midseason rankings Eiserman was 4th, he's now sitting at 13th. So what happened? Eiserman is potentially the most unbalanced player in this section of the draft, he is great at somethings and below average in others. His shot is second to none and he could even up being a 50-60 goal scorer in the NHL, which is why he was ranked so high in the first place. But other things like his speed which is lack luster, his compete in all zones, and decision making are questionable. He can compete in board battles, has great hands, and a crazy fast release, but there are questions if he is too one dimensional or too much of a passenger at his current level, let alone the next level. There are some things to keep in mind, as a project top pick for a while now he is under more extreme scrutiny than other players. With very high expectations, if a player doesn't meet or frankly exceed those expectations their highs will rarely out shine the lows. It's comparing apples and oranges a bit, but someone like Silayev who rocketed up the charts this season won't face the same scrutiny. There is also something I've noticed a bit more lately out of the USNTDP, they undoubtedly produce excellent players, but their you rarely see them rounding out their games between their U17 and U18 seasons. Players skills are sharpened but the weak points in their games typically aren't fixed, and they don't start becoming more well rounded until their next stop. This usually gets overshadowed by the super high end skill in the players second year in the program, but for Eiserman who only did marginally better and was outshone by James Hagens, the issues are more glaring. I think there are areas of concern, being a passenger and having questionable decision making can be big red flags, if you can fix those issues he's Nikita Kucherov, if you can't he's Nail Yakupov. But you can't help but think about if another elite talent fell into the Flyers lap way later than previously expected.
Michael Brandsegg-Nygard - 6'1 RW - Mora (Allsvenskan - Swedish 2nd league) EP Consolidated: 12, Range: 7-29 We get to the only player I'm discussing that wasn't on McKenzie's list, but that's not to say the Flyers won't pick him at 12, or that he can't go higher with some prognosticators bullish on him sneaking into the top 10. Brandsegg-Nygard is a well rounded, high hockey IQ player with the shot and skating to make him both an offensive threat and a defensive powerhouse. At the WJC he was the engine of the outmatched Norway team, able to make plays and win battles against some of the best U20 players in the world. Playing in Sweden's second league he's been able to carve out a role while putting up respectable numbers. Brandsegg-Nygard will be the highest drafted Norwegian ever, but his background is one of the things that I think make him a pretty intriguing pick. There are some rough elements to his game, but those are typically smoothed when you get to higher levels in most of North America and Europe, Brandsegg-Nygard already excels at the difficult parts of development like speed and smarts, making his mechanics more crisp and adding a little bit of physicality to his game could provide huge dividends. Another interesting aspect is that he is a good candidate to move to center, speed, smarts, good size on top of being a strong shooter and a good playmaker make him an idea candidate, but his pathway has made him more of a wing so far in his career. If Konsta Helenius is off the board, Brandsegg-Nygard is next best thing, if not having the potential to surpass Helenius.
So Who are the Flyers Taking?
Since the Flyers are at the back of the pack for this tier their actual decision for who they will pick will likely come down to one or two players. It will make the 30 minutes before their pick incredibly stressful, but it when it comes time to make a decision it will probably happen fast.
While this draft is going to be hard to predict, we can look at the young core/prospects of the teams directly in front of the Flyers to see if can show players they are less likely to take. I have a feeling the Flyers will be left with a choice between Parekh, Eiserman, and Brandsegg-Nygard, with a chance that Helenius falls to them. It depends what other teams prioritize either trying for a home run or trying for a safer pick, with the three teams directly in front of the Flyers likely prioritizing safer picks.
I'm not sure the Flyers would lean towards Parekh unless he has a big time champion in the organization. The reward is sky high, but there is also a high risk, and as I mentioned the difference between him reaching his peak isn't about correcting his mistakes, but whether or not he has generational offensive talent. He's also not typically the kind of defenseman the team takes so high. Also, not for nothing, there are a bunch of similar style defenseman available later in the round when the Flyers pick again but obviously no guarantees.
In previous years I worried about the Flyers passing over highly skilled players for safer or more "Flyers" picks. I don't really have that fear this year given the due diligence this front office put in to Michkov, as well as the whole Gauthier situation I think they'll put in the leg work to determine if Eiserman has the right head to be a 50-60 goal type guy, or another Nail Yakupov. If they pass on him for a safer pick I'll be fine with it knowing that they have a clear picture of the players future that you can't get from stat sheets and highlight reels.
That said, I think it ultimately will be Cole Eiserman the Flyers pick. I think the talent is there, the team has shown an ability to teach guys a more complete game, are establishing a strong culture, and have another high end piece to pare him with. If Eiserman is off the board I think the most likely guy to fall to them would be Konsta Helenius who I would also be really happy with.

For centuries Weyland-Yutani has tried to weaponize the Xenomorphs. Now someone has beaten them to it, sweeping through Yautja space and turning predator into prey. Their greatest weapons are the most fearsome creatures in the galaxy—the Xenomorphs. Their ultimate target is Earth. Having fled centuries before as The Founders, they return anew known as The Rage to take revenge and claim the planet for their own. Durability

• Predator potentially tanks nano-rifle fire and was able to keep hunting (would die eventually to the VoidLark squad). WY Chairman Marshall has seen the weapon test fire and described it as "immense" and "horrific".^PI
  
  • scaling with a human sidearm laser pistol that can slice a rock in two and turn a human head into red-mist.^PI
• A Yautja is hit with a nano-bot charge that sends countless nano-bots towards its target igniting into a thousand small explosions and is only wounded not killed. The other Yautja survives a laser shot and is shot by a another skillfully placed laser shot but potentially survived as the text didn't confirm the second Yautja was killed either.^PI
  
• Predator tanks a micro-dot spray and is pissed off.^PI
  
  • Micro-dot sprays are stated to be more dangerous than a nano-shot from the com-rifle.PI
  • Nano-shot from a com-rifle can shred Xenomorphs apart. ^PI

  • The Rages Combat Android Generals are ten times Liliyas equal in a fight, are equipped with every military scrap/tactics in human history, and can command two thousand Xenomorphs with a single thought. ^PI

  • The Yautja somehow knew the Androids had self-destruct nukes in their bodies and he stabbed the Android with precision so it could not set the bomb off. ^PI

• Predator cloak can bypass Johnny Mains squads suit sensors as well as sneak up on the team as well as Johnny Mains drone.(Predator dies from a point blank plasma shot.)^PI
  
  • Stated that if the Yautja wanted to hide from sensors. They can and will. ^AI
• Hashori carries canisters that neutralizes/stops the effects of the Xenomorphs acidic blood.^AVPA
  
• Predators have gadgets that can confuse Colonial Marine weapons.^PI

Ships

• Yautja personnel fighters can go FTL. The Yautja ships can also bypass ship scanners/sensors for surprise attacks via by their cloaking.^PI
