I was medically retired 20 May 2024 (25 years AD), went through the MEB and IDES process and was given a tentative VA percentage. I have received DoD pay for 21-30 May and the RES shows I'm due a payment on 1 July for the month of June. While the VA does all the Evidence gathering, review, decision, and Preparation for notification will the DoD payment be higher for some reason til the VA compensation kicks in?

Hi,
Im a 27 year old female, 5’3” 144 lbs, with no medical issues. Never had an STD. No smoking, no drinking. Only take psychiatric medications in addition to hormonal birth control pills.
I’ve been on “the pill” for ten years. I started my period at 14/15 years old and was on birth control by 17 (mom’s choice). For most of my life I have been a very thin, small person with anxiety, so my TSH was tested numerous times by concerned doctors and it was always normal.
A few years ago my TSH came back “on the cusp” of “too high”. I did gain a considerable amount of weight but I believe that was due to being on Zoloft which helped me regain my appetite that I lost due to anxiety. I had no symptoms of hypothyroidism.
Over time my periods have gotten to be pretty long. I only let myself have a period every 3 months which my gyno recommended, but when I had them I would actively bleed for 7-8 days with spotting here and there for a couple days after. Sometimes I’d even have breakthrough bleeding.
Transvaginal ultrasound and paps came back normal at those times.
Just recently I was having spotting and strange pain, so I went to the gyno. She said my cervix was “inflamed” but everything else looked normal. I bled a lot from the pap but no more spotting happened. She took the following labs/tests (I’m interested in becoming pregnant in a couple years) and here are the results:
Transvag US shows small amount of fluid in uterus “indicative of minimal hemorrhage” which was written by the radiologist but not yet reviewed by my gyno. Everything else normal.
TSH levels were 4.49 mIU/L
FSH and LH were tested but idk why since I’m on bc. Respectively they were 0.9 and 1.0 mIU/L
Estrogens, total was 351 pg/mL
AMH was tested for ease of my mind and was 4.11 ng/mL
Pap normal
What I’m wondering is if long term use of the pill is wreaking havoc on my body. I never had high TSH before. It’s gradually gotten higher. I was told the BC can make my cervix irritated over time and even read that it can atrophy the endometrial lining. Mine is thankfully normal at .7cm.
I want to get off BC and use condoms now; my husband and I would be ok with a pregnancy but would prefer to wait so I’m not worried about it. I’m wondering if BC is the culprit?

Hi! I am looking for apartment recommendations in terms of safety in Rancho Cucamonga. I have a dog (small 40lb GSD) and am looking for a 1br that's max 2200/month. I am a young female and am mostly concerned about safety and proximity to the 10 (to get to my medical school off the 10). I don't mind dog poop, older properties, traffic, etc, just want to make sure my safety isn't compromised.
I've looked at Ironwood, The Reserve at Empire Lakes, and Solamonte but have heard mixed reviews from all. I like these ones because of proximity to Ontario Mills, Target, etc. Does anyone have some insight?
