My father was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer in summer of 2022. He went through treatment and finished April 2023 . We followed up every 3 months for ct scans and he was told he was he was cancer free every time as recently as Dec 2023. He had some chest pain in Feb 2024. We went to local ER and they did a ct scan stating he had two new masses that were cancer. We followed up with his oncologist who said he needed to wait six weeks to do a pet scan because It was the only way that he would be able to tell if it was cancer. We waited the six weeks we went back for the PET scan, but my father was not feeling well that day, so we ended up not being able to have the test. He also ended up back in the hospital where they did another CT scan and the oncologist there said that there was two large masses and they were so large that there was nothing they could do, no treatmentavailable. He was going to die within 4 months and they put him on hospice. I called his primary oncologist at that they trust the hospital oncologist and there was nothing they could do. He should just stay on hospice. I didn’t think this was possible so I ordered a PET scan about a month later and found out he is actually cancer free. He just had pneumonia and that was what was clouding the CT scan so they gave him a terminal diagnosis, and put him on hospice telling him that was it. Our entire family was dealing with his death. He was in grief counseling he gave away his stuff he was preparing to die. All of us were preparing for him to die. None of this should’ve happened. They should’ve ordered pet scan before giving a terminal cancer diagnosis and recommending hospice. from where I’m sitting, it’s negligent to say the least. They didn’t do proper testing and instead told him he was terminal and he was Facing his death! He is now on hospice for absolutely no reason. We had stopped all other medications for other things he's dealing with because we were told it was pointless. He now most certainly has PTSD from this. It's destroyed so much. People have come from all over the place spending money to say their goodbyes not to mention the emotional termoil we've all dealth with and especially him. I even changed jobs to be remote so I could be with him while in Hospice. Took of countless time from work etc. All things that never should have happened. The bottom line is he was told he had terminal cancer and he was gonna die. They put him on hospice and none of that was true. He had no cancer. He has been cancer free since April 2023 and during this terminal diagnosis it is caused our family unbearable grief, and lots of money. It could’ve been avoided if the proper tests were ordered, but they were not. Is there a case?

Lately, both in person and on this sub, I have seen a worrying amount of misinformation spreading about the political party Aon Tu. This misinformation either states that they are a left/liberal party or that they are not right/conservative. This is however clearly wrong as any amount of introspection of their statements and social media makes clear; any clear dive into their policies and statements make it clear that they are instead very right wing, if not far right. They use the many familiar terms associated with similar parties, hold the same stances, and even retweet them and their content.
In order to illustrate this below I am presenting the various tweets made by Peadar Tóibín (the current leader of the party, their founder, and currently sole elected official) as well as their official twitter account. I have limited it solely to tweets due to time and space constraints, I have also had to limit the amount of tweets due to the same constraints There is more and I strongly encourage anyway to check their accounts for themselves. If there is interest I can do a deep dive into their other socials and statements, however I do not think there is a way to access the backlog of debates they have had on RTE and radio unfortunately. I believe this thread will stand on it's own however and other such threads won't be needed.

tldr; Has anyone had DELAYED digestive side effects from HCQ? As in: side effects showed up suddenly after months of taking it without any problems?
Background: I started 400mg/day of HCQ (split into two doses) three months ago. I was lucky—and other than one morning where I forgot to eat before I took it—I never had any digestive side effects.
And I have seen huge improvement in my UCTD symptoms! It took a while to kick in, but I finally feel like I’m starting to get my life back.
Which is why it’s super frustrating that my digestive system has been a mess for the last three weeks. Terrible bouts of extreme diarrhea and cramping. Zero appetite. Nausea.
My PCP did a stool test to rule out an infection, and it came back clear. I already eat a pretty restrictive diet (no gluten, dairy, eggs or soy) because I’ve been tested and shown intolerances to those foods. Negative for Celiac (not that it matters because I’ve been gluten free for years now).
I really really really don’t want to “fail” this medication, because it is helping so much, so I’m hoping this digestive distress is caused by something else. But also: I have to start questioning everything in my life to see if I can improve my belly.

There is a possibility we will play the Foundry Kingmaker modul. We are thinking about playing an evil party, the Players Guide suggested its okay to play any alingment. Some of us played the PC game, and we already played the first book.
Can you tell us in a spoiler-free way, what do you think? The Kingmaker campaign could work with truly evil characters? Do we spoil the experience if we are with evil characters or cut ourselves off from certain storylines?

I (28F) have been on a couple of dates with this guy (27M), whom I met on a dating app. First date went great, we had a lot in common and the conversation was free flowing. There was physical contact too, and he kissed me before dropping me at my door (it was a good kiss).
He texted me right away with a little joke about making sure I got home safe, and we texted back and forth for the next couple of weeks. He asked me out again for drinks and I agreed.

Three days later and he still hasn't replied.
I'm confused. If he was only in it for sex, he would've been in touch because I'd already promised him that we'd get down and dirty very soon. So why the cold shoulder? Where did I go so drastically wrong that he won't even reply to me, and how should I rectify it? I really like this person. Opinions please!

Love the game! Got it free on Epic, only just started playing and thinking about buying the expansion.
But have some questions I couldn't find the answers to via googling or the official wiki:
1 - Do the "Heavy Springs" upgrade affect Moontide Tridents DPS? My tests are inconclusive due to how the game reports damage.
2 - Similarly to 1, does the "Black Powder" upgrade affect the various Moontide cannons? If not, it seems I'm better off sticking with my "Flawless Gatling Guns" for max DPS (and would be stupid to use it with Moontide cannons due to the increased fire risk).
3 - Similarly to 2, does "Black Powder" affect the Croaker Torpedo Cannon (it is described as a "Cannon")?
4 - Speaking of Moontide weapons, what is "+50% barnacle damage"?
5 - Do the "Golden Oars" and "Whip Cracker" stack (for a total 75% rowing speed)?

Past & current medical history: History of bedwetting until 12 years old, frequent nosebleeds, frequent stomachaches due to being scared of school
Family medical history: Brother (me) diagnosed with ADHD, family history of mental illness
I am asking this for my lil sis because my mom seems to think it's totally normal and wants to sweep it under the rug.
Quick backstory: I had very bad mental health problems as a kid, struggled a lot with feeling different and not doing well in a school environment, even went inpatient once. Multiple psychiatrists talked to my mom and afterwards diagnosed me with depression. When I was 18, my mom finally opened up to me and said that more than 5!! of my teachers talked to her about a suspected ADHD diagnosis, which she apparently purposefully did not mention to psychiatrists as I 'cannot have ADHD because [my] grades are too good'. Went to see a new psychiatrist, did testing, got an ADHD diagnosis. Now I'm doing way better in life, no more suicide attempts, even on my way to graduating university. So this history might bias me, of course. My mom says I am projecting my feelings onto my sister, which is very much possible.
So, onto the complaint:
My sister used to struggle a lot with frequent bedwetting, up until she was 12 years old. I had the same thing when I was a kid due to anxiety, so they thought it was the same for her. She also gets stomachaches sometimes because shes so scared of school and does not want to go. Her grades are very bad, and she struggles a lot with doing her homework and paying attention. She also does not have any friends.
During Covid, I used to help her with online school and realized that she would sometimes completely forget about classes happening, would daydream during the entire class, and when doing her homework would sometimes forget what she was writing in the middle of the sentence and finish it with a completely different sentence. Her homework often came back as 'unintelligible', 'unreadable', 'lots of careless mistakes'.
When I started being more strict with her, aka tracking all her homework, waking her up in the morning, taking away her phone during class and reminding her to pay attention every 30 minutes, she got drastically better grades in the span of two months. Sadly, due to Covid ending I had to return to my college city and her grades started slipping again.
All these things to me point to an ADHD diagnosis or at least something going on, especially due to my diagnosis. But the most worrying thing to me was:
Up until she was around 11 or 12 years old, she would sometimes be so focused on playing video games that she would pee her pants a little because she didnt realise she needed to go. If you would tell her to go pee, she would get upset/annoyed and tell you 'just 5 more minutes' over and over again, until it was too late. She's also really bad with hygiene, when she's visiting I have to remind her to brush her teeth daily, to shower and to wash her hair, otherwise she just won't do it. She's honestly sometimes really stinky and her hair is always a mess.
My mom said that's a normal things kids do, but I annoyed her so much about it that she took my sister to one therapist who talked to my sister 3 times and then said she does not have adhd and that shes healthy.
So now my mom is really angry with me every time I say that I am concerned, because this one therapist said shes a normal kid so if I'm doubting that it means I think I know better than the professionals.
I honestly have no fucking clue, maybe this is a normal developmental stage? My mom says all of us were stinky and icky as teenagers and she will grow out of it, but I think its hurting my sister, because she does not have friends and I think every kid needs friends right?
So I am just asking here because I honestly don't know if I'm actually just projecting and should listen to the professionals and if I dont that makes me a bad brother somehow. I am not trying to imply shes a bad kid, I love her a lot, I want to make that super clear. I promise I'm just worried for her.
It would mean the world to me if you could reply, no matter if it is to dissuade my worries or by confirming to me that that's actually something to worry about.

I just passed the last test!!! And now I’m a ged grad 👩‍🎓 . If I did it, then you guys can. I learnt English as a third language,I assume you guys are more proficient in English than I am so if you are than you shouldn’t worry much about RLA test and SS. The majority of the questions is about about comprehending what you re reading.
I had a messed up education growing up. I moved back and forth a couple of times from a country to another, it was cool when I was young, but the last move,during last 2 years of high school, did nothing but worsen my grades.
I was doing really bad and I couldn’t take it anymore, and my teachers didn’t help it. One of them, who I believed loathed me once told me “ you don’t even know how to live, you’re better off dead”
Another one , before the final exams made a long talk about the future and life blah blah blah, said something like” good luck, I know you will do great in your future and that you will succeed at uni …. Except for one person who’s already a failure and won’t achieve anything” She said the last part pointing her index finger at me.
Anyways, now I’m a ged grad, I’m planning on continuing my studies. I wanna thank this community who helped me find motivation to actually make the first step. So thanks
