I came across the Dawn Of War 2 Retribution Elite Mod. They were exactly what I'm looking for, hooded figures with a touch of Tzeentch. As cultists should be. (Got up Early to talk about the CPAP machine and such. Only to be given an appointment on friday. So yeah, in trying to solve a sleep issue I’m giving myself more of one. Incidentally Friday will be late due to well, the CPAP retrieval and tutorial)
The Pirates
“So, they’re here.” Agenda says contently as she finishes feeding her fussiest little girl.
“Yep!” Jingay chirps happily as her freshly hatched little children are happily playing on the glowing, shimmering platform that her rattle has brought to life. She can’t do anything complicated, but a soft shiny platform for her little slithers to play around in? She can do that, but it takes some focus. The tiny fluffy child of Vuni is cuddling the strong Jungle Nagasha tail that wraps around her own tail.
“How formal a call do you think we should make?” Miles asks in an amused tone.
“Not especially, after all the babes ensure it will never be properly formal, they’re too happy and healthy.” Agenda notes.
“I blame you for that.” Miles says and Agenda laughs.
“If you don’t want the blame I’ll take it.” Vuni remarks.
“You’re just as guilty.” Miles says and Vuni laughs in response.
“What’s going to happen?” Jingay asks and Miles is pensive for a moment.
“I don’t know.” He notes as his hand gently rubs the handle of his revolver. The constant rubbing had necessitated him re-burning the names of his family back into it. “But no amount of waffling about will let me know. So if you don’t mind. I’ve been... getting something a little ready.”
“Is this what you’ve been sneaking around to do for the last three days?” Agenda asks.
“Something like that. It’s a bit of a treat I wanted to give you girls so... care to join me?” He offers.
“What have you done?”
“Me and the boys got together a great big feast so that we can all talk The Inevitable at once. It took a bit of doing, but when the boys and I get moving, we really get moving.”
“Are you including Red Squadron and Biran in that?”
“And a lot of cadets too. Markus gave them a proper mission in setting up the area.” He says.
“How is that a mission?”
“It involves deploying a military force to secure and prepare an area for higher ranking officers to approach and remain there for a time.” Miles says before offering his hand. “There’s plenty of space for all our little ones, and for all our allies. Give them all a big impression. How does that sound?”
“Well, if you’ve been planning this for days.”
“I have. All of us have.”
“Then I suppose we HAVE to show up, don’t we?” Agenda says in a luxurious tone. “I’ll get my coat.”

The hall that Miles leads them to is a massive refurbished hanger that has all kinds of carpets put down, tapestries hanging from the ceiling and tables upon tables of different treats of all sorts already out. The Undaunted Cadets are all rushing around putting down more meals and treats and between the richness of the carpets, the crystal bowls and platters and expensive drinks and foods. But the sort of... scrambled way it’s been put together by the cadets lends it an earnestness that bleeds through. More important though are numerous floating platforms where a child can be safely put down and be right beside their parent.
“Oh this is a treat. I haven’t even been one of you guys for long!” A four part harmony says as Moira walks in with little Liǔ Shù napping in the arms of the four bodies that didn’t speak. The toxic little girl not only has numerous of the protective pendents on her and woven into her clothing, but is in a dark jumper that lets her bright skin stand out as if for presentation.
“Well, as their novels say, all for one, and one for all.” A new voice says as a pair of Cannidors lead in their own family. More and more and more people pour in from all entrances, many in uniform, many of them her own girls. Some of them she barely recognizes. Every single one of them that notices her looking raises a glass, nods, salutes or somehow pays their respects to her.
Her little one squirms ever so and is softly comforted. For a moment there is almost a feeling of vertigo. There was a time where all this wasn’t even a dream of a dream. She could remember the feeling. How could she forget it? The sensation of something gripping your very mind and soul and stopping you from even thinking of disobeying. Then so long trying to get things right, trying to be in control of her own destiny, before finally achieving it and learning just how hard that was. How many sacrifices and concessions she made before what seemed to be one of her final concessions... turned out to be final in the best of ways.
“Alright! We have a connection to The Inevitable! Who wants to say hello to the next batch of humans in the galaxy?” Ryu calls out.
“My Lady?” Miles asks as he smiles up at her. She gives him a raised eyebrow at that.
“My lady is it? Well then, I better live up to it.” She says.
“Connect us!” She commands and there is a cheer through the room before a massive projector uses one of the tapestry covered walls as a screen. “Good Ship Inevitable! Can you hear me?”
“We can, you are on a friendly frequency.” A man of Asian Descent says sitting stiffly in his command chair. “I am Observer Wu, sent from Earth to conclusively determine what is going on outside our corner of the galaxy. Identify yourself please.”
“I am Duchess Agenda Lilpaw! I am the ruler of the Vucsa System an Undaunted World! I greet you, because I have long learned my lesson to stay on the good side of humans!”
“Have you now? If I’m not mistaken that is a fully grown human right next to you. You look like you could take him fairly easily.” Observer Wu says in an amused tone.
She looks down to Miles before shaking her head.
“I made that mistake once. My entire ship was not enough.” She says fondly before pulling him close. “Then I was offered a deal, and he used it to help make me a duchess. So you’ll forgive me if I think humans are a good thing to have around.”
“Did he now? I didn’t realize galactic conquest was the intent of The Dauntless and her crew.” Wu notes.
“Well, as one of the conquered, I would like to say I prefer this result. After all, being able to walk about the city without a bodyguard is a welcome change of pace.” Vuni says drawing attention to herself with a slight bow. “Ambassador Vuni Luxed at your service.”
“So this world prefers to be conquered?” Observer Wu asks.
“This world was a slum at it’s best. A hellscape at worst.” Mari Horny states as the Carib woman waves to the camera. “Mari Horny. I was here to witness it all. I’ve seen slaves freed, monsters hunted down no matter what kind of power or influence they have, be they person or beast. With them I’ve seen the children I worked so hard to protect grow stronger and thrive. Doom has come to this world time after time, and they met it each time. If you’re here to observe, then observe this room! Everyone here saved, aided or inspired by the people you’ve come to evaluate! There are ten pure blooded humans in this room, but beyond it is nearly a billion souls who will vouch for them from the first to last! And so will I!”
“No need to be so dramatic ma’am. I’m an observer, not a judge. I am here to see and hear without bias or illusions. Things are odd, and odd things have happened. The governments and officials back home need to understand clearly and without any doubt. So that is why I am here. There was confusion in the first message sent back. The second furthered the confusion due to multiple parties having separate interests. I have been tested, tried and guaranteed numerous concessions and payments for an utterly neutral perspective.”
“So your word is going to be how all is, then they decide if we committed treachery.” Franklin notes as he floats up with several bundles around him, many of them laughing. “Behold this then. My children. All healthy, with myself as the only human parent. My daughters take after their mothers, my son takes after me, but has his mother’s strength.”
“He is nearly transparent.” Observer Wu notes before Franklin gives the little boy a tickle and he flickers in and out of visibility while laughing. “Most interesting. This Vucsa world of yours, before I do my research upon it, is there something you would like to say about it?”
“This is a world on the edge of Wild Space. Which means that it’s often been used in the past as a place where experiments happened.” Miles says.
“Interesting. Such as?” Observer Wu asks.
“Such as my daughter here. I am Moira Octalliry, I will cut through the details and simply state that my anatomy allowed me to be experimented on a great deal.” She says and Observer Wu looks at her oddly.
“Are you one, or many?”
“I am one, but I am eight as one.” She says. “As is my daughter, I have named her Liǔ Shù. She was a piece of myself remade to produce a weapon. She and I were both rescued. I was forgotten in darkness for thousands of years, as was my daughter. Held in a single moment in time and left to rot.”
“And... is she a weapon?”
“I am told you have creatures similar to her new ability back on your homeworld.”
“We do? What is the name of this creature?”
“The Poison Dart Frog.” She says and Observer Wu’s eyebrows go up.
“Don’t forget about the fact that we fought off that robot witch!”
“Robot Witch?” Wu prompts.
“A weapon of war created by a very large, dangerous and expansive criminal family. A death robot known as Mother Massacre.” Moira says. “So consider that. Without them going... I don’t even know what to call it, I saw the contradicting orders, without them going sane for lack of a better term, I would still be in a slowly failing stasis capsule, buried and forgotten in the darkness.”
“And so, in summation, and from the mouths of those that clearly trust them what is your opinion of The Undaunted and the humans that make it up?”
“When I was brought to this world it was as a slave, my dignity ripped from me, my home destroyed and in less than a day I had my freedom, dignity and a new home.” One of the Erumenta that Agenda cannot recognize out of hand announces.
“And my own. My whole family, those that were enslaved are freed, those that were indoctrinated into that wretched way of life have been allowed time to recover.” Biran says grandly.
“They took me in.” A smaller voice says as Karim rises up. “I’m a Hlo’Shab. Death Born. I could have reasonably only expected to have my core shattered, or shunned for my entire life. Instead I have a home.”
“And... to be Death Born means what?”
“I am a Slohb. By blood I have only one true parent. I was broken off of them far too soon and they died as I survived. Death Born. Or... well, I don’t have blood but... you get the idea right?” Karim asks.
“I understand.” Observer Wu notes. “I have more calls incoming. Is there more from Vucsa for me to see or hear?”
“Over here!” A jubilant voice calls out and the room turns to see Hewhew standing on the shoulders of Heffer to tower over everyone with the Agela’s height added to his own. “Red Five calling it in! The Vucsa Defence Fleets fly fast and proud to keep our home safe!”
The crowd around him, pilots all, throw up their right arms and cheer along with Hewhew. “Welcome to the Galaxy Observer! We’re ten tons of awesome in a two pound bag! Let’s rock!”
Observer Wu smiles as he looks around. “I look forwards to discovering the truth of things.”
“That’s the fun part of the galaxy sir, it’s so absurd we don’t need to lie.” Miles states and Observer Wu turns back to him with a smirk.
“Well, we shall see, won’t we?” He asks. “Is there anything more?”
“I take it you’re not in the mood for a display of flight prowess? We’ve been working on a new routine.” Hewhew calls out.
“Perhaps later. I have numerous calls waiting.” Observer Wu states. “Now if you’ll excuse me...”

TDLR: Maxing my 401K and Roth IRA. I keep $25,000 in a HYSA for emergencies. I'm not sure if I'm sitting on too much cash.
Some of these are not costs incurred monthly (such as clothes and travel - we don't travel every month and I'm not buying clothes every month), but roughly how much it would be per month from the annualized amount. No debt: No student loans, CC debt, we rent and likely will for awhile, and do not have a car.
We'll continue living in the same place, so rent will be the same ($1250) and we spend around the same amount on groceries ($250). Besides that, the only other expense he has is transport (~$120/month) and the gym ($10/month). I cover utilities/subscriptions for us). His only other expense is travel, which is probably around $2500 annually, which his internships in school have covered for him).
I had him set up a Roth IRA last year that he maxed out in 2023, besides that he has modest savings (~$5000 in a general savings account that likely generates next to no interest). This is the plan that I've helped laid out for him after he starts:

I (25F) live in a VHCOL and have been working for almost three years. My W2 TC is $122,000 (Salary $112,500 + $9500 bonus) and I anticipate that it will increase due a promotion to at least TC of $150,000, but I'm not counting these chickens before they hatch. I also have a side business (LLC) that brought in $40,000 last year, and I forecast will bring in a bit less this year (maybe around $30,000). Below is a breakdown of my savings and expenses:Savings:

- 401K: Currently at $42,000. I haven't always been able to max it out, but always have done at least the company match + a little bit extra. Will max it out this year, so $23,000 + 6% company match ($6750).

I max it out every year; I was using my own Roth IRA in Fidelity and had not realized that my company also provides a match for this, so I've stopped my own contributions to the Fidelity for now and am instead doing the 6% for the match. I know the limit for Roth IRAs generally is $7000 per year - I've already contributed $1940 toward this year's limit and plan to get the full match now. How does having two Roth IRAs work? I've tried to research it and am still very confused.
- Brokerage: $76,000, all in ETFs/index funds except for $5700 which I keep in SPAXX. Should I invest the $5700 instead of letting it sit in the MM?
- I auto transfer $800 per month into brokerage and if my checking account has too much in it, I'll toss a few thousand in.
- Primary HYSA: Emergency fund: $25,000 + Additional rainy day fund: $8,100 @ 5.5% APY
- Secondary HYSA: $1000 14% APY (14% only up to $1000, so once it's over $1000, I re-level it back to $1000 and move the money into my main HYSA)
- Checking account: $4400 to cover off credit card and rent. I use credit cards for everything, but treat them like debit cards. They are paid off every month and have never missed a payment.
- I don't have a HSA as I am still on my parents' insurance, but will move off of this onto my partner's starting next year, so may be able to open one after that move.

My partner (25M) has been a student until now and will be starting a potentially very lucrative career in October after graduating. We've been very fortunate that both of us do not have any student loans or debt and that his expenses have been taken care of by a mix of largely scholarships and family support, so he is essentially starting from scratch. His starting TC will be around $245,000 (Salary $225,000 + Bonus $20,000) with a salary ladder for increases each subsequent year after.We'll continue living in the same place, so rent will be the same ($1250) and we spend around the same amount on groceries ($250). The culprit The mirror in this post is OEM part #T2060314 for a 2022 Speed Twin. This fix should apply to other models as the ball joint design is common across many recent parts. Replacement OEM mirrors aren't terribly expensive but free [or nearly free] is better. I 3d printed my part but you can also use the provided dimensions make your own from any ~2.2mm thick flat stock. If neither option is available to you, check your local public library (many have printers), search for local 3d printing groups (they usually love to help), or upload the .step file to any one of many online fab-on-demand services and have them print or cut it out of whatever material you like. In addition to this, we have the privilege of seeing the signs of the times that are written in the Bible and have been fulfilled in the last few decades, years or are being fulfilled. This fulfillment of certain signs of the times for some generations was a distant future in the form of prophecy, and we can say about some of them. that they were almost fulfilled and we have some signs that they were fulfilled just a few months ago.

Here we clearly see that the author of this book is God the Father and He gave this book to Jesus Christ. And now the question arises, is Jesus not God, how is the Father giving him something now, does God need to be given something?
The answer is in the following, while Jesus was on earth in his humiliation He willingly humbled himself to the will of the Father, even Jesus limited himself in knowledge so that from the following verses we see that Jesus did not know everything while he was on earth.
"And of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but my Father alone."
Matt. 24:36
But when the Lord Jesus left in glory after the resurrection, he received all the knowledge and all the original glory and now God the Father gives Him the book of the Revelation of glory which comes as a gift with all the events that will happen until the end of the world and entering eternity in addition to the gifts of resurrection, ascension and sending the Holy Spirit to the church that Jesus redeemed. And after the resurrection, the Lord Jesus said
"All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me."
Matt. 28:18
And God the Father exalted the Lord Jesus and gave Him a name that is greater than every name in heaven, on earth and under the earth. It is written about this in the Epistle to the Philippians.
"But he humbled himself by taking the form of a servant, becoming like other people and appearing as a man.
I humbled myself by becoming obedient to death itself, and death to the cross. That is why God also exalted Him, and gave Him a name that is greater than every name. That in the name of Jesus every knee of those in heaven and on earth and under the earth should bow; And every tongue to confess that the Lord Jesus Christ is to the glory of God the Father."
Philippians 2:7-11

Now in the second part of the first verse we see that Jesus sent an angel to show John "what will soon be" and John should have written it so that we "servants" could see the events that will happen in the future. And we can to say that only the servants of God can understand this book because someone who does not believe in Jesus will not take seriously the truths that are written in this book, but will find some "reasonable" explanation for some events that cannot be explained by the great knowledge we possess today.
The Bible itself testifies to this.
"And the carnal man does not understand what is of the Spirit of God; because it seems foolish to him and he cannot understand, because he needs to look around spiritually."
1 Cor.2:14
And as for the part of the verse, "what will soon be" we would say differently soon, however, almost two thousand years have passed since this was written but it has not yet been fulfilled. Today we can see that the end time is near but how far we don't really know that because time is different for God and us, God is outside of time and we are limited on earth and depend on the change of day and night.
The Bible says the following about time:
"For a thousand years before Your eyes are like yesterday's day, when it passes, and like a watch of the night."
Psalm 90:4
Therefore, in the eyes of God, a thousand years is like a night watch, but not in our eyes, and the fulfillment can be very fast, and maybe not we don't know, God knows, but based on the signs of the time, we can conclude that the time is near because we can see some signs that earlier generations could not, and for them they were prophecies, and we can see the fulfillment, literally speaking, "live".
And at the end of the verse we see that the angel brought and showed the Revelation to John who was a fisherman son of Zebedee and became an apostle after Jesus called him to join him and become a disciple.
Later, John wrote the Gospel according to John, three epistles (1, 2 and 3 John) and Revelation. and he was also a preacher in the Church of Ephesus, from where he was exiled to the island of Patmos, and it is believed that he wrote the Revelation in 95-96 AD on Patmos.
And we end with a verse from Revelation
"These are faithful and true words, and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to show his servants what will happen soon."

Rev. 1:1
Here we clearly see that the author of this book is God the Father and He gave this book to Jesus Christ. And now the question arises, is Jesus not God, how is the Father giving him something now, does God need to be given something?
The answer is in the following, while Jesus was on earth in his humiliation He willingly humbled himself to the will of the Father, even Jesus limited himself in knowledge so that from the following verses we see that Jesus did not know everything while he was on earth.
"And of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but my Father alone."
Matt. 24:36
But when the Lord Jesus left in glory after the resurrection, he received all the knowledge and all the original glory and now God the Father gives Him the book of the Revelation of glory which comes as a gift with all the events that will happen until the end of the world and entering eternity in addition to the gifts of resurrection, ascension and sending the Holy Spirit to the church that Jesus redeemed. And after the resurrection, the Lord Jesus said
"All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me."

And God the Father exalted the Lord Jesus and gave Him a name that is greater than every name in heaven, on earth and under the earth. It is written about this in the Epistle to the Philippians.
"But he humbled himself by taking the form of a servant, becoming like other people and appearing as a man.
I humbled myself by becoming obedient to death itself, and death to the cross. That is why God also exalted Him, and gave Him a name that is greater than every name. That in the name of Jesus every knee of those in heaven and on earth and under the earth should bow; And every tongue to confess that the Lord Jesus Christ is to the glory of God the Father."

"The Revelation of Jesus Christ, given to Him by God, to show His servants what will soon be, and He showed it by sending an angel to His servant John."

Now in the second part of the first verse we see that Jesus sent an angel to show John "what will soon be" and John should have written it so that we "servants" could see the events that will happen in the future. And we can to say that only the servants of God can understand this book because someone who does not believe in Jesus will not take seriously the truths that are written in this book, but will find some "reasonable" explanation for some events that cannot be explained by the great knowledge we possess today.
The Bible itself testifies to this.
"And the carnal man does not understand what is of the Spirit of God; because it seems foolish to him and he cannot understand, because he needs to look around spiritually."
1 Cor.2:14
And as for the part of the verse, "what will soon be" we would say differently soon, however, almost two thousand years have passed since this was written but it has not yet been fulfilled. Today we can see that the end time is near but how far we don't really know that because time is different for God and us, God is outside of time and we are limited on earth and depend on the change of day and night.
The Bible says the following about time:
"For a thousand years before Your eyes are like yesterday's day, when it passes, and like a watch of the night."
Psalm 90:4
Therefore, in the eyes of God, a thousand years is like a night watch, but not in our eyes, and the fulfillment can be very fast, and maybe not we don't know, God knows, but based on the signs of the time, we can conclude that the time is near because we can see some signs that earlier generations could not, and for them they were prophecies, and we can see the fulfillment, literally speaking, "live".
And at the end of the verse we see that the angel brought and showed the Revelation to John who was a fisherman son of Zebedee and became an apostle after Jesus called him to join him and become a disciple.
Later, John wrote the Gospel according to John, three epistles (1, 2 and 3 John) and Revelation. and he was also a preacher in the Church of Ephesus, from where he was exiled to the island of Patmos, and it is believed that he wrote the Revelation in 95-96 AD on Patmos.
And we end with a verse from Revelation
"These are faithful and true words, and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to show his servants what will happen soon."

In Crypto, Market Makers pool their network of exchanges liquidity. They move this pool around from exchange to exchange, covering liquidity as needed. Pooling all the inbound customer assets from exchanges allows this Network to offload much of it, in whatever ways they choose. They only need "X"% of it to keep withdrawls whole across their network of Blockchains.
They create Robinhood, Paypal, Venmo, Crypto side to offer a product with a front end, to get consumers to buy the Market Makers crypto holdings being pushed. The Market Makers KPI farm, by creating thousand and thousands of fake users via new wallet address'. They send in minimal crypto, often <.01 eth. They create promos like a "SHIB giveaway for all new customers". It helps the MM offload their sht tokens they created out of thin air, like SBI Holdings did when they created $SHIB. Then, to help drive inerest in the Exchange, and a rise in Stock Price, they In turn promote these "new" users, which their Market Maker created for the Public facing exchange, and talk about the new deposits seen, which is just the market makers moving funds from other exchanges temporarily. This allows a rise in token price, and gain in liquidity. For Crypto companies setup by the Crypto Cartel, this means they can now sell shares in these companies, convert the capital to their holdings, and cover any losses they had, take profits, or use it to inflate the price of where the Market Makers have a vested interest. They pump stock, sell shares, and in turn buy Crypto to cover where they are short.
This is a core part of the game. Every dollar that comes in, they can take out, as long as they can cover the Rate of Withdrawals. They can use this game to market, offload the Public shares they own, and extend their runway and Crypto's pricing.

I know this has been restated a million times here, but I will be discussing slavery and how one cannot look at the Bible and say that it is a perfect judge for morality.
Roman slaves were chattel slaves
I've seen a common defense from apologists being something along the lines of, "But the slaves in the Bible were all indentured..."
This is a flat out lie.
In Paul's letters to Ephesians, he states, in Ephesians 6:5-9: 5 "Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ. 6 Obey them not only to win their favor when their eye is on you, but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart. 7 Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people, 8 because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good they do, whether they are slave or free.
9 And masters, treat your slaves in the same way. Do not threaten them, since you know that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no favoritism with him."
This is in reference to Roman slaves, which were chattel slaves.
The causes of slavery consisted of taking prisoners of war, birth into slavery (two biggest causes), debt (for non-citizens), punishment for crime, enslavers finding children abandoned by their parent, etc.
Below, you will see how Roman slaves were treated.
'Above all, however, slave bodies were tortured and physically abused, even unto death, with no consequences for masters. Plautus’ second century BCE plays regularly feature slaves terrified over an impending whipping, a trope that was meant to elicit laughs from the audience. Similarly disturbing insouciance about physical abuse is found in the epigrams of the first century CE poet Martial: “You think me cruel and too fond of my stomach, Rusticus, because I beat my [enslaved] cook on account of a dinner. If that seems to you a trivial reason for lashes, for what reason then do you want a cook to be flogged?”38 And assaults were often much worse than a beating. An inscription of Puteoli (modern Pozzuoli) lays out prices set by a company that specialized in torturing and crucifying slaves on contract, allowing the master to hire out this messy and physically demanding affair to specialized professionals.40 Here again Constantine became uneasy with this level of violence and issued a law forbidding the deliberate killing of slaves in 319 CE, but in a subsequent law he granted tremendous leeway for masters who happened to kill a slave in the course of “corrective punishment.”'

In Exodus, it gives rules for what you can and cannot do with your slaves.
Exodus 21:20-21: 20 “Anyone who beats their male or female slave with a rod must be punished if the slave dies as a direct result, 21 but they are not to be punished if the slave recovers after a day or two, since the slave is their property."
This could be applied to the Gentile chattel slaves in Leviticus 25:44-46: 44 “‘Your male and female slaves are to come from the nations around you; from them you may buy slaves. 45 You may also buy some of the temporary residents living among you and members of their clans born in your country, and they will become your property. 46 You can bequeath them to your children as inherited property and can make them slaves for life, but you must not rule over your fellow Israelites ruthlessly."
However, this essentially means that the only rule for the owning of slaves would be that you may not kill them (at least in Exodus -- other rules for slave owners are communicated later in the Bible).
The Bible condoning slavery
The Bible mentioning slavery without condemnation (when the culture widely accepts it) is absolutely evidence that it supports it. Especially given the Bible's own ethical stance about not rebuking your neighbor for their sins being hating them in your heart (Leviticus 19:17).
Further, the New Testament welcomed slaveholders into the church and told them how to carry out their acts of enslavement in a Christlike manner: Ephesians 6:5-9. Paul was extremely clear about allowing people who habitually sinned into the church-fornicators, drunkards, covetous people, etc. Christians weren't even supposed to eat with those people: 1 Corinthians 5:9-12. Imagine if Paul welcomed adulterers into the church, didn't condemn their behavior and told them how to carry out their acts of adultery in a Godly manner? Or if he told Mafia style extortionists how to carry out their acts of extortion in a kind and Christlike manner? No, Paul and the Bible in general do not see owning chattel slaves (which is what Roman slaves were) as wrong. They see treating them badly as wrong, but they do not see owning them as sinful.
Regarding comparisons to slavery in the south, the Bible does not teach equality of social status and OT slavery was somewhat of an improvement over ANE slavery, but that doesn't prove God opposes slavery. The south improved their regulations on mistreating slaves over time, and some states had "better" laws than others. That does not mean those legislatures were composed of abolitionists. It just means they thought there should be some regulations on how brutally you can punish the most defenseless members of society -- just like in Exodus 21:20-21 and Exodus 21:26-27.
However, some will argue on the basis of the Torah. Mosaic law is considered a reliable guide to righteous conduct (Psalm 19:7-11, 2 Timothy 3:16). You can think that this is righteous conduct for the time -- but if chattel slavery was righteous conduct for the time, it cannot be inherently wrong. And the burden would be on you to explain to a southerner why whatever rationale you give for why chattel slavery was ok in the OT (and not to mention Roman chattel slavery in the NT) would not apply to southern slavery.
Also, again, the Bible goes out of its way to encourage masters to physically discipline their slaves in Proverbs 29:19. We know this is encouraging beating, because it denies that slaves can be disciplined by words, and we know from Exodus that beating is how slaves were disciplined. We also know that the Bible thinks that slaves tended to be considered to often be fools (Proverbs 11:29) and that beating is recommended as a way of dealing with fools (Proverbs 26:3, Proverbs 10:13, Proverbs 19:29). There is very little doubt that this is what the Bible is encouraging. We can compare this to the Roman Stoic philosopher Seneca who argued that masters should only discipline their slaves by lashing them with the tongue (Moral Letters to Lucilius 47:19). Proverbs 29:19 could have been written as a rebuke of what Seneca said. If God was just accommodating hardened hearts, why would he go out of his way to encourage this, when even a Roman philosopher thought slaves should not be treated the way the Bible advocates?

Just as slaves were in some respects considered both property and people, the same is true of women -- in both the 1800's and in the Bible. Exodus 20:17 prohibits coveting your neighbors wife, but not your neighbor's husband for a reason. Because on some level, women were seen as property, even if they have some rights and weren't viewed as being in a completely shameful role.
Kidnapping
Kidnapping is going to be a key term. If you consider one nation/tribe going to war with another nation/tribe and taking men, women and children as slaves to be kidnapping, then Roman slavery was heavily based on kidnapping. If you don't, then a lot of the trans Atlantic Slave Trade victims wouldn't be kidnapped either, since that's how many of them were acquired.
"As a concomitant of the rise and fall of various African rulers and ruling parties, their political opponents, people of high social status, and their families were sold to promote internal political stability. Poor people were sold to reconcile debts owed by themselves or their families. Chiefs sold people as punishment for crimes. In many works of science fiction, there is a central government which controls lots of different planets or star systems. Sometimes it's just a small section of a galaxy like in Star Trek; or, like in Dune or Star Wars, it's a whole galaxy.
My question for you is: whose interests does this actually serve?
In Star Wars, for example, there is a government (either the Republic or the Empire) which controls most of the galaxy, whose seat of power lies in the technologically and economically advanced "Galactic Core".
People in mid and outer rim planets benefit from a galactic central government, because through infrastructure, laws and anti-piracy enforcement, they can trade goods and resources that otherwise wouldn't be available to them. They pay their taxes to the galactic government, and in return they get all these nice economic benefits. Makes sense. It's essentially space European Union with an army.
But what do the people of Coruscant gain from being able to control shitty planets on the outer rim? It can't be labour power, because they have robots that can do basically anything for them anyway. It can't be manufactured goods, because the productive forces in the Core are far more advanced than the rest of the galaxy, so they can produce literally anything they want already. It can't be raw resources, because asteroids are everywhere and can be cheaply towed at FTL speeds. It can't be energy, because there are millions of stars in a region of space as dense as the Core where you can just build solar collectors to get infinite free energy. Planets like Utapau and Jedha have basically nothing to give to planets like Alderaan and Coruscant that they can't already find or make themselves.
So what do the people of the Core actually gain from there being a Galactic Republic/Empire? Why aren't the people of Coruscant just sitting around playing video games all day? Why does anyone in the Core have a job when you can just get robots to do everything for you?
These kinds of contradictions should be causing untold political strife in the Core, the kind that would make for a really interesting story. There should be a major unemployment crisis, people turning to violence and political extremism as a means of dealing with the way things are. Star Wars sometimes hints towards this kind of thing with Coruscant's criminal underbelly, but it's lacking an explanation as to why this has been the status quo for literally thousands of years. The proverbial pot of water has been over-boiling for literally tens of thousands of years, and nothing has happened. And moreover, these are the kinds of social problems that would make sense for a backdrop to the rise of a crazy dictator. But we get none of this in the prequel trilogy; Palpatine wants to be in charge simply because he enjoys being mean to people and sitting in a fancy chair; people vote for him to be king of space because he uses evil magic to manipulate them. It's really boring when you think about it, especially given the obvious political problems that are present in the way the Star Wars galaxy is run.
I think a more sensible approach to this kind of space opera sci-fi would be to take a historical materialist perspective. Planets which are highly developed have no need to interact with other planets. They already have near infinite energy and minerals. Some of their people might leave to explore or settle new lands, but the majority of these advanced civilisations would be spending their days sitting around in floating chairs and playing video games all day while robots do all the work for them. For these civilisations, the need for market economies, imperialism, or human labour would be completely gone, and people would be incredibly pissed off if they still had to have jobs and pay for food, shelter and luxury goods.
Planets settled by these civilisations - let's call them "pioneer worlds" - would develop pretty quickly, and eventually end up like the Core worlds, with their video games, their robots and their floating chairs. But before they reach that point, they may have a need for trading with other similarly-developed civilisations - either other pioneer worlds or just less developed naturally-occurring civilisations. It's these polities which would band together and form economic unions like the Galactic Republic. They might even wage war on the Core worlds to plunder their advanced technology, which provides another interesting avenue for plot tension.
I think the one justification for the central galactic governments of Star Wars lies in the Force. We know that these states have been invariably controlled, directly or indirectly, by Force users (Jedi and Sith). The Force opens up lots of interesting kinds of resources which are uniquely rare in a way that real-world resources aren't, such as kyber crystals, Force-sensitive species, and areas of the galaxy with a strong Force presence. There also might be a somewhat altruistic motive to the Jedi and Sith rulers of the galaxy — maybe they think they are the only ones who can ensure the civilisations of the rim will develop and prosper, or perhaps not develop at all, for whatever reason?
When it comes to Star Trek, the Federation exists for similarly idealistic reasons: the pursuit of knowledge and the preservation of peace and prosperity. But again, I wonder why the bad guys in Star Trek even really care to wage war on other civilisations, in a universe which is literally infinite, where they have the technology to manufacture whatever they want, and the space to do whatever they want without being bothered by other people. Funnily enough, I think that Rick and Morty demonstrated this idea quite well in that one episode where Rick has an entire planet that he uses to go to the toilet. The universe is really big, and if you had a spaceship that could take you anywhere you want really quickly, you could do things like terraforming an entire planet so you have a private place to poop.
So when you take economic/material incentives to account, ideology is basically the only reason why sufficiently advanced civilisations would want to control crappy backwater planets like Tatooine or Jedha. I think this post-scarcity kind of setting has great potential to focus on things like ideology, philosophy, different ways of thinking, etc. Meanwhile, it takes extra justification to explain why you're conquering inhabited planets instead of mining asteroids.
I think space operas, if they want to have a central galactic government, should acknowledge the fact that this is kind of an unnatural thing which is acting against all these social forces, which will necessarily cause political conflict. The space kings or space wizards in charge of everything might like how the status quo lets them play with their toys, but the ordinary people living in the Core ought to be fed up with having to share power and resources with irrelevant backwater planets of the mid rim and outer rim, all the while having to work and live in poverty conditions in a universe that is about as post-scarcity as you can get.

- SeaWings hunt sharks solo as a part of their coming-of-age rite.
- RainWing names are chosen by the grandmother.
- RainWings value music. All dragonets are taught musical instruments as a necessary part of their curriculum.
- The IceWing kingdom is divided into territories each ruled by a lady. Dragons who have done an exceptional service to the crown may be awarded a territory.
- The IceWing Assembly is composed of the aforementioned territorial rulers. Membership is hereditary. The Assembly runs some of the day-to-day business of the kingdom by reviewing legislature, managing affairs of public interest, and advising the queen. However, they can also check the power of the queen by forming coalition against her and blocking or passing laws.
- An IceWing princess needs to do more than just kill her mother to gain the throne, or she may not keep it for long: she must also make allies and supporters within the Assembly. An unpopular queen may find it difficult to exercise her power with a reticent Assembly.
- NightWings like composing riddles and poems; it is a favored pastime. They would gather in groups and make games out of guessing riddles, constructing verse, and engaging in friendly competition.
- There are few to no trees on the island, a scarcity of animals, and the NightWings don’t trade; thus they have taken to molding clay tablets, carving into them with a stylus, and firing them in a kiln to harden. parchment is as rare and coveted as gold.
- NightWings were known historically for their metallurgy, so advanced that it seemed mystical to other tribes. Legends speak of their immunity to and mastery over fire, their ability to mold metals with their talons, and the magic associated with metalcraft.
- The NightWings invented Damascus steel, which allowed them to forge weapons of exceptional quality. Knowledge of its craft was kept a tribe secret, and the NightWings kept their monopoly on it for thousands of years until Darkstalker forced the NightWings to flee their homeland, and the art was forgotten.
- Why is the royal challenge so prevalent across tribes? Why can only females challenge? How did it begin in the first place?
- The MudWing royal family employs seniority succession, in which the throne is passed to the monarch’s younger sibling and not their children. Both male and female royalty can rule.
- SandWing inheritance is a type of matrilineal system in which a male’s possessions are handed to his sister’s sons.
- What is the currency of the dragon world? Is it based on a gold standard? Does each tribe employ its own currency, is there a universal currency, or is there both an international and local currency for each tribe?
- A NightWing is not given a name at birth; it is earned through their extended family and friends.
- MudWings forge coins with a hole in the center, allowing them to string ropes of coins along their necks.
- The HiveWing takeover of the LeafWings was subtle and gradual: the LeafWing queen remained in power as a puppet and the tribe did not formally integrate with the HiveWings, instead existing as a vassal state. Over time, they lost theirs rights and power.
- Firebreathing tribes consider the ability a divine gift and a powerful kind of magic. It allowed dragonkind to ascend their animal states, purge the scavengers, and become civilized peoples who cook their food, build advanced infrastructure, and produce all kinds of advanced technologies. A dragon 100 years of age would still be considered a dragonet, and unable to choose a mate, if he has not been initiated.

- SeaWings believe in reincarnation, and that deceased family members will hatch into the same family over and over. When a dragonet hatches, he is examined for any resemblance to a deceased family member, and may be named after said dragon.
- The RainWings’ most lucrative trade is in spices and herbs.
- Do dragons pay taxes?
- Why is there no form of gender or class stratification in any tribe besides HiveWings and SilkWings? If only females can become monarchs, does this matriarchal mindset extend anywhere else in society? Are families matrilineal? Do females have rights or privileges over males?
- On that note, why are there no gender roles either?
- What sorts of jobs exist with a kingdom? How would a carnivorous diet affect livelihood, economy, and society?
- Brittlescale is a condition which may arise due to undernourishment or malnutrition. Signs of the ailment include dull, malformed scales, scales that crack easily, and loose scales.
- Dueling is a common method of defending and proclaiming one’s strength and honor. Just as princesses challenge queens, common dragons will duel to prove their worth.
- How do dragons understand medicine and the body?
- SilkWing traditional garments are made of silk. Silk is one of the most precious and coveted products in the kingdom.
- Spiders feature heavily in SilkWings culture and mythology as craftsmen and weavers.
- SandWing venom is a neurotoxin. It can be drawn from the tail, distilled to increase its potency, applied to weapons, or made into a powder. Alternatively, it can be diluted into a drug used in anxiety medication and to treat insomnia.
- Do dragons modify their bodies? Do they wear piercings, tattoos, or body paint?

The House of the Undying has been puzzling readers since 1998. The "slayer of lies" portion has fermented countless theorizing:
Dragons are at the core of the events at the House of the Undying. Daenerys is in Qarth because Pyat Pree, Xaro, and Quaithe seek dragons, and she goes to the Undying to seek their counsel, inevitably involving her dragons. Drogon accompanies her, helps her find the way to the Undying, dragons appear in the visions several times (and Daenerys is often called “mother of dragons” in them), then Drogon fries the Undying. But not all dragons are the same:
Disregarding — for now — the intricacies of what makes someone a figurative “dragon,” no character in the main series comes close as to being “true dragon” as Daenerys. She is the last Targaryen, the mother of dragons, the rider of Drogon. This is known. She is a true dragon. But what about the false dragons?
In the House of the Undying, the Undying call Daenerys the “slayer of lies” after showing the three visions to her. In a vacuum that may mean that Daenerys a) will slay whatever or whomever the three lies represent and/or b) she will prove the lies false by her actions. That suggests that Dany represents the truth opposing the falsehood of the three lies.
So have the fact that Dany is a true dragon and that the Undying vision suggests Dany is true and the three lies are, well, lies. Let’s merge those ideas together — Dany, a true dragon, is the slayer of three false dragons — and see whether the visions themselves support this marriage. In the chapter after the visit, Dany describes the “cloth dragon” as a “mummer’s dragon”:
Now consider the "great stone beast”, a flying stone creature that lurks near smoke and breathes shadow fire. As described, the beast sounds awfully like a dragon — but moreso like an imitation of a dragon, a gargoyle, mayhaps — and an imitation is inherently false. Shadow fire is extra fake because "[s]hadows only live when given birth by light" (Davos III, ASOS). The stone beast is another representation of a false dragon.
If the two parts of the vision are false dragons, it would suggest the blue-eyed king is too. On passing glance, it does not seem like it is. However, consider this quotation from Maester Aemon:
Therefore, Dany being the slayer of lies means that the true dragon Dany is the "slayer of false dragons" makes sense. While most popular interpretations of slayer of lies put each lie as separate from each other (i.e. the blue-eyed king being a false Azor Ahai, the cloth dragon being a false Targaryen, etc.), it makes just as much sense — arguably more sense — that the three lies are all incarnations of one central falsehood.
The Dragon is a fitting epithet for Aegon I, the man known as the Conqueror and Aegon Dragonlord, he who (mostly) conquered Westeros atop Balerion the Black Dread through fire and blood. Aegon I chose the three-headed dragon as his banner, married his sisters in Valyrian fashion, and with an ancestry full of incest to keep the blood of the dragon pure. He seemingly even had dragon dreams. He wore a crown and bore a blade of Valyrian steel. Dangerous to his enemies but fair to vassals, Aegon embodied everything House Targaryen aspired to be — a true dragon — and many, some bearing his name, attempted to be Aegon the Conqueror, Come Again, a true dragon too.
Daeron the Dragon was amongst the most ambitious of the Targaryens who sought to be Aegon the Conqueror, Come Again. He worn the Conqueror's crown and bore his sword. He was determined to finish what Aegon I started in Dorne. Daeron named himself a dragon:
Daeron is not the only character compared to Aegon the Conqueror or hyped up as his successor who failed to reach his heights. Numerous historical figures — mostly Targaryens — were compared to Aegon I including Baelor Breakspear, Daemon Blackfyre, and Rhaegar Targaryen. None lived up to his legacy. Several main series characters are compared to Aegon or described as his heir — Drogo, Joffrey, Robb, Renly, and Rennifer Longwaters — but their claims to be Aegon the Dragon false. Just sitting the Iron Throne, having Targaryen ancestry, or being a warrior-king doesn’t make Aegon the Dragon:
Recall earlier that the slayer of lies vision was not three separate lies, but three incarnations of false dragons. If that interpretation is correct, then all three of the lies should have things in common, and Stannis, Aegon, and Euron share quite a few similarities, too many to highlight here. But there is one key one: All three seek the Iron Throne through fire — dragons — and blood — Targaryen heritage — and in doing so draw inspiration and comparisons to emulate Aegon the Conqueror. All three want to become king and dragons. This is known. But realizing that “fire and blood” is basically the foundation of their claim is subtler.
How do they seek the throne through blood? Well, the blood of inheritance is intrinsic to their claims. Stannis does so as Robert’s heir, and House Baratheon's claim to the throne is based on its Targaryen heritage. Aegon does so as House Targaryen’s heir, reinforced by marriage to his (alleged) aunt Daenerys. Euron, as far as we know, has no Targaryen blood, but like Aegon, via marriage to Daenerys, Targaryen blood is the means to the throne. In effect, all three men are seeking to use blood to justify their claims as the heir to House Targaryen, the blood of the dragon.
How do they seek the throne through fire? All three are dragon-seekers. Stannis covets a stone dragon to win his kingdom, his temptation to commit a horrible evil to wake one only tempered by Davos for now. Aegon and Euron seek Daenerys for her dragons, for her dragons will allow them to complete their dreamed conquests. Through dragons, these three men will bring fire to Westeros and claim their throne.
*But these men also *plan to use blood to get fire, and then fire for blood, following the cyclical mantra of Blood for fire, fire for blood. * Those words are written on Euron’s Valyrian hellhorn, Dragonbinder:
Now, let us briefly look at how each man parallels or is compared to Aegon:
Stannis Baratheon is a direct descendant of both the Conqueror and his bastard half-brother Orys Baratheon. Both Stannis and Aegon are described as tall and broad-shouldered. Both were Lord of Dragonstone and shared the same original bannermen. Stannis sits at the same Painted Table that Aegon used to plan his conquest of Westeros. Aegon was the middle child, as is Stannis. Like Aegon, Stannis has “two queens”, one whom he sleeps with far more often than the other. While Visenya was rumored to practice dark arts, Melisandre does, in fact. Aegon was a solitary man, just as Stannis is: both of their only true friends are men of uncertain birth who were their Hands of the King and who each had their hands permanently damaged. Aegon and Stannis both invaded Westeros from Dragonstone. Aegon’s first defeat during his conquest (though he was not present) was a naval battle that destroyed his fleet, as was Stannis’s first defeat during his conquest. Aegon followed the Faith of the Seven for political reasons as Stannis does for R’hllor. Aegon had a dragon dream that inspired his conquest — to protect Westeros from the Others — while Stannis saw in Melisandre’s fire the Others’ attack at the fist of the First Men, inspiring his sail north. Lastly, both have famous swords, dark Blackfyre and bright Lightbringer.
There are a number of times where characters directly compare Stannis to the Conqueror, and specifically how he needs dragons to finish the comparison and become Aegon the Conqueror 2.0:
Aegon “Young Griff” Targaryen, no matter if he is truly Rhaegar and Elia’s son, a Blackfyre, or a Brightflame (just not a random kid) is also a direct descendant of the Conqueror, who is his namesake. Like the Conqueror, Young Griff had a sister named Rhaenys — both associated with Dorne — and a bastard brother. Aegon claims the Iron Throne as a Targaryen, heir to the dynasty that Aegon created, and displays the Conqueror’s banner. He seeks to practice the Valyrian tradition of incest as Aegon did, becoming a dragon-rider together with his bride. Like the Conqueror, Young Griff’s Hand of the King is a great lord and warrior of the stormlands, one who had to seize their seat. Jon Connington and Orys Baratheon both have hand infirmities that call into question their suitability for the office of Hand. Young Griff invades Westeros by sea, as Aegon did, and the Conqueror’s forces (but not the conqueror himself) fought a battle north of Storm’s End, which Aegon seems poised to do in TWOW.
A number of characters compare Young Griff to the Conqueror, even calling him (or him calling himself) a dragon. But, like Stannis, Young Griff still seeks dragons to become Aegon the Conqueror 2.0:
Euron is (apparently) not a direct descendant of the Conqueror, but he does seek to marry and breed with one, putting himself into Aegon’s line and ruling with Daenerys’ dragons. Aegon and Euron are both the second child of their mothers. Aegon the Conqueror was the sovereign ruler of Dragonstone and a number of other islands. Euron Greyjoy is the sovereign ruler of the Iron Islands. None of that is especially compelling, but what is significant is that the Conqueror (and his sister-wives) were the last dragonlords, and Euron all but states that he intends to be the next dragonlord, having gone to Valyria, armored himself in Valyrian steel, wielding a Valyrian hellhorn, and soon riding a dragon. While Euron seeks dragons, he does already have a “mount” even without them: his ship, the Silence, which has a red hull and black sails, the Targaryen colors. Aegon’s mount, Balerion was a black dragon with fearsome black wings; the sails of the Silence make men pray in the same way Balerion’s black wings made men dread. His personal coat-of-arms of the Crow’s Eye is of a black flying animal, just as Balerion. Aegon had two sister-wives. Euron (falsely) tells Falia Flowers that she will be his salt wife and that Daenerys will his rock wife, with Falia believing the “two of us will be as close as sisters” (The Forsaken, TWOW). Aegon was generous to those who joined him and vengeful to those who defied him; Euron is much the same, giving wealth and honors to those who follow him but brutal punishments for those who oppose.
Euron has only physically appeared in four chapters (if including TWOW’s The Forsaken), so there is less to say about him. Still, the kingsmoot speech conveys Euron’s ambition to be the Conqueror 2.0.:
Stannis, Aegon, and Euron may seek to be Aegon the Conqueror, Come Again, but they are false. The House of the Undying vision tells us as much, and our interactions with them suggest their fraudulence. Stannis particular is just as much a blue-eyed king as he is a mummer’s dragon and a beast that breathes shadow fire because of Melisandre, the de facto mummer and shadow-binder, false in many ways. Aegon may be false because he is not even Aegon, he claims to be a dragon that he is not. Euron’s falsehoods are harder to discern at this point in the story, but there is simply no way he is a true dragon. There is only true dragon, whose claim and destiny conflicts with all three of these men; she must prove them false to complete it:
Daenerys is often compared to the Conqueror, both as his heir and blood and as the Conqueror 2.0. There are too many to list all, but here are some choice ones:
TL;DR The slayer of lies in the House of the Undying is about three false dragons whose claims to the Iron Throne as Aegon the Conqueror’s heir conflicts with her own. Dany, through her true fire and true blood, is the true dragon, a worthy successor to Aegon destined to repeat what he did.

From a smoking tower, a great stone beast took wing, breathing shadow fire. . . . mother of dragons, slayer of lies. (Daenerys IV, ACOK)Today, I propose a new interpretation for this storied section. These three portions of the "slayer of lies" vision do not refer to three separate, individual lies, but rather three incarnations of one central falsehood, repeated on three different people: each man in the vision seeks to be a dragon, both the reincarnation of Aegon the Conqueror and his heir and successor. However, all three men are false dragons. Daenerys is the true dragon; her destiny is to be Aegon the Dragon, come again, to bring Fire and Blood to Westeros. These three men's false claims of dragonhood stand in her way in pursuit of her fate.
Here Be False Dragons
Let us set aside any consideration of the identities of who is specifically is being referenced the Undying visions for a moment, and focus on the text and context of the visions themselves and their imagery.Dragons are at the core of the events at the House of the Undying. Dragons “true and false” is of most interest for us. What actually constitutes a "false dragon" and a "true dragon" is broadly ambiguous, but the text does have some suggestions. In AGOT, there is a juxtaposition between Dany’s unborn son Rhaego and her brother Viserys, the former literally called a true dragon…
She was lying there, holding the egg, when she felt the child move within her … as if he were reaching out, brother to brother, blood to blood. "You are the dragon," Dany whispered to him, "the true dragon. I know it. I know it." (Daenerys IV, AGOT)…and the latter naming himself a dragon often, only for his death to prove the falsehood of those claims:
He was no dragon, Dany thought, curiously calm. Fire cannot kill a dragon. (Daenerys V, AGOT)The idea that there are “true dragons” and “false dragons” is interesting in-and-of-itself, and the fact that Moqorro sees them in his fires means that they do, in fact, exist. Where do these true and false dragons be found?

Dragons, on the other hand, create light and shadow by their mere existence. The blue-eyed king is figuratively a false dragon.
Therefore, Dany being the slayer of lies means that the true dragon Dany is the "slayer of false dragons" makes sense. Was Daeron I a false dragon? In-so-far as that he attempted to and failed at capturing Aegon the Conqueror’s legacy, yes, he was.

*But these men also *plan to use blood to get fire, and then fire for blood, following the cyclical mantra of Blood for fire, fire for blood. * Those words are written on Euron’s Valyrian hellhorn, Dragonbinder:
Moqorro pointed to the band of steel. "Here. 'Blood for fire, fire for blood.' Who blows the hellhorn matters not. The dragons will come to the horn's master. You must claim the horn. With blood." (Victarion I, ADWD)Stannis’s (near) use of blood to get fire is obvious: Melisandre and her followers push for him to sacrifice those with kingsblood — Edric Storm, Mance Rayder and his son — to wake a stone dragon. Aegon’s is subtler: his case to marry Daenerys and thus claim her dragons is because of his blood, as her nephew. In order to claim Dragonbinder, Euron must have claimed the horn with blood in the past to fit its instructions of “blood for fire”. Whatever sacrifice seems to involve blood he has planned at Oldtown as well. That blood will unlock fire, and with the dragons they will conqueror Westeros and bring blood to it.
Now, let us briefly look at how each man parallels or is compared to Aegon:
There are a number of times where characters directly compare Stannis to the Conqueror, and specifically how he needs dragons to finish the comparison and become Aegon the Conqueror 2.0:
"Look out your windows, my lord. There is the sign you have waited for, blazoned on the sky. Red, it is, the red of flame, red for the fiery heart of the true god. It is his banner—and yours! See how it unfurls across the heavens like a dragon's hot breath, and you the Lord of Dragonstone. It means your time has come, Your Grace. Nothing is more certain. You are meant to sail from this desolate rock as Aegon the Conqueror once sailed, to sweep all before you as he did. Only say the word, and embrace the power of the Lord of Light." (Prologue, ACOK)
Ser Axell went to one knee. "On bended knee I beg you, sire. Wake the stone dragon and let the traitors tremble. Like Aegon you begin as Lord of Dragonstone. Like Aegon you shall conquer. Let the false and the fickle feel your flames." (Davos V, ASOS)
"Lord husband," said Queen Selyse, "you have more men than Aegon did three hundred years ago. All you lack are dragons." (Davos V, ASOS)
"It glimmers prettily, I'll grant you, but on the Blackwater this magic sword served me no better than any common steel. A dragon would have turned that battle. Aegon once stood here as I do, looking down on this table. Do you think we would name him Aegon the Conqueror today if he had not had dragons?" (Davos V, ASOS)
A number of characters compare Young Griff to the Conqueror, even calling him (or him calling himself) a dragon. But, like Stannis, Young Griff still seeks dragons to become Aegon the Conqueror 2.0:
"Do you want to wager your throne upon a woman's whim? Go to Westeros, though … ah, then you are a rebel, not a beggar. Bold, reckless, a true scion of House Targaryen, walking in the footsteps of Aegon the Conqueror. A dragon." (Tyrion VI, ADWD)Also, it is worth noting that Aegon is directly called a “false dragon” at one point:
And then Prince Aegon spoke. "Then put your hopes on me," he said. "Daenerys is Prince Rhaegar's sister, but I am Rhaegar's son. I am the only dragon that you need." (The Lost Lord, ADWD)
"The first Aegon took Westeros without eunuchs," said Lysono Maar. "Why shouldn't the sixth Aegon do the same?" (The Lost Lord, ADWD)
"Storm's End." Lord Mace Tyrell grunted the words. "He cannot take Storm's End. Not if he were Aegon the Conqueror." (Epilogue, ADWD)
"Then let me prove the truth of them with my sword." The light of the torches made a fiery blaze of Ronnet Connington's long red hair and beard. "Send me against my uncle, and I will bring you back his head, and the head of this false dragon too." (Epilogue, ADWD)
Euron has only physically appeared in four chapters (if including TWOW’s The Forsaken), so there is less to say about him. Still, the kingsmoot speech conveys Euron’s ambition to be the Conqueror 2.0.:
"Crow's Eye," Asha called, "did you leave your wits at Asshai? If we cannot hold the north—and we cannot—how can we win the whole of the Seven Kingdoms?"
"Why, it has been done before. Did Balon teach his girl so little of the ways of war? Victarion, our brother's daughter has never heard of Aegon the Conqueror, it would seem."
"Aegon?" Victarion crossed his arms against his armored chest. "What has the Conqueror to do with us?"
"I know as much of war as you do, Crow's Eye," Asha said. "Aegon Targaryen conquered Westeros with dragons."
"And so shall we," Euron Greyjoy promised. "That horn you heard I found amongst the smoking ruins that were Valyria, where no man has dared to walk but me. You heard its call, and felt its power. It is a dragon horn, bound with bands of red gold and Valyrian steel graven with enchantments. The dragonlords of old sounded such horns, before the Doom devoured them. With this horn, ironmen, I can bind dragons to my will." (The Drowned Man, AFFC)
Daenerys: Aegon the Conqueror with Teats
Daenerys is the true dragon, the rightful heir and successor of Aegon the Conqueror through fire and blood. Dany is a direct descendant of the Conqueror, born on Dragonstone, as he was, and is the rightful heir of House Targaryen and thus the throne that Aegon forged. She was the only daughter of Aerys and Rhaella as Aegon was the only son of Aerion and Valaena, and each had two opposite-sex (full-blooded) siblings. She is the mother of dragons, three dragons as the three-headed dragon on the banner that Aegon designed. Her mount. black-scaled Drogon, is “Balerion, come again." (Daenerys I, ACOK). Her destiny is to invade Westeros and complete Aegon’s dream of defending it from the Others.Daenerys is often compared to the Conqueror, both as his heir and blood and as the Conqueror 2.0. There are too many to list all, but here are some choice ones:
I am blood of the dragon, she told herself. I am Daenerys Stormborn, Princess of Dragonstone, of the blood and seed of Aegon the Conqueror. (Daenerys II, AGOT)Dragons are all the difference, and that is fundamentally why she is true and everyone else is false. That and one other thing: everyone else is a man, Daenerys is a woman. In their sexism, people in Westeros see the next Aegon as a man, but fail to realize the truth:
No one was calling her Daenerys the Conqueror yet, but perhaps they would. Aegon the Conqueror had won Westeros with three dragons, but she had taken Meereen with sewer rats and a wooden cock, in less than a day (Daenerys VI, ASOS)
The dragon has three heads. There are two men in the world who I can trust, if I can find them. I will not be alone then. We will be three against the world, like Aegon and his sisters. (Daenerys VI, ASOS)
"Must?" Tyrion made a tsking sound. "That is not a word queens like to hear. You are her perfect prince, agreed, bright and bold and comely as any maid could wish. Daenerys Targaryen is no maid, however. She is the widow of a Dothraki khal, a mother of dragons and sacker of cities, Aegon the Conqueror with teats. She may not prove as willing as you wish." (Tyrion VI, ADWD)
Part of her would have liked nothing more than to lead her people back to Vaes Tolorro, and make the dead city bloom. No, that is defeat. I have something Viserys never had. I have the dragons. The dragons are all the difference. (Daenerys III, ACOK)

What fools we were, who thought ourselves so wise! The error crept in from the translation. Dragons are neither male nor female, Barth saw the truth of that, but now one and now the other, as changeable as flame. The language misled us all for a thousand years.
