Okay I personally.... LOVED THIS MOVIE. Yeah the ending was ambiguous but I feel like this was kind of an Indie film so an ending like that was bound to happen. I feel like timothee barely had to actually act in this movie and a lot of this was his real personality. It was definitely worth the cinemax free trial subscription :)

I'm looking for movies that could help me break free from this situation:
Which is that as a child I used to always speak my mind. I had a dominant personality. But not mean. I would find myself naturally in leader position. I would not be shy Infront of authority figures and always stood up for what's right even against them when no one else did. I was seen as maybe obnoxious or bossy by those who misunderstood me, who didn't even try to get to know me. I was called "contrarian" when all I did was voice opinions and question things openly with no I'll intent, I just was curious and wanted to discuss and think about things. I was also very extroverted. Just so free.
But life was rough on me. I was abused by many people in various ways, all close adults in my life. Now as a woman in my mid twenties I'm so closed, locked, even from my body language you can tell. I have chronic blushing from just looking at people I'm even close to in the eyes besides my bf. I don't feel free. I'm shy, I'm submissive, scared I will make anyone annoyed or angry with anything I do. I lost my voice and courage and confidence. I'm the most introverted person I know and misanthropic too. I don't want to go in public spaces to not bother people with my presence.
It annoys me that I was so free and now it's like there is invisible chains around me, I restraint myself in fear of people so much it effects my quality of life enormously. And this is more severe than anyone else I saw experience any related change (I understand it's normal to become more self conscious or introverted) genuinely and other people agree I have a big problem. I have also high anxiety.
So some movies that is about that and becoming free again in a way that's relatable for me. It can be light-hearted but movies that are more serious giving you some psychological truths or philosophical thoughts might help anchor my mind in the message of the film longer.

Oh how sad I am. I've been planning this escape for years. And now that I'm finally here, with one more night on my... not-really-a-bed, just a... mat-on-the-floor with blanket and pillows...
I sob. Sob and cry and wonder why I feel all this pain. I'm the one who wanted to escape. To live my life to the fullest. To do all the things I love. To draw and sing, to wear my hair down and bake, to make friends and wear cute dresses, to have cats and be with the man I love and oh gosh how lucky I am that he loves me dearly and wants the best for me. He and his mum supported me so so much. My friend too. They are my chosen family.
But... why am I feeling so horribly sad...? Its because I'll never see my parents or siblings again. I feel so bad for my mum because she allows people to use her and by that I mean she does everything for my grown ass siblings. And my extended family all use her a lot too.
About my mum.
Sadly, shes religious. Prays constantly. Always telling us to pray. Donates money to needy. Forced me to pay zakkah. Buys counters to constantly recite, it's like digital tasbeehs and stuff to use wherever without looking or counting. You just press and then you get your number on a screen. She takes care of her mum sometimes. Often cooks for her. She often watches her sisters kids because her sister, my aunt... is ever so social and kinda just expects my mum to baby sit them. My mum cooks almost every day. Usually every other day because my dad refuses to eat old food. And when I say cook I dont mean something easy like whip up a pasta. I mean dishes that take at least more than 2 hours to cook. Mind you though, hes a chef and does cook sometimes in the house. But since he works he expects mum to cook and honestly if I were a man, I'd want that too. To come home from work to good food. Anyway...
I have siblings. One of which is a piece of good for nothing shit. Uses and abuses mum psychologically. For real. It's so sad. And mum enables this shit because she believes it's not actually my siblings behaviour. It's apparently a ghost. My other siblings are not of legal age yet. I will miss them terribly. They... will have to grow up a lot. Mum does a lot for them. Cooking. Cleaning. Honestly, I dont cook because mum does it. Nor clean. I avoided being with mum and basically without realising it, did that rock technique with her. Where I basically diffuse the conversation and stuff because I hate talking about Islam and just avoid being around her and stuff. I forgot what the technique is actually called.
I love her. Even if I'm sure her love for me is conditional. I wish to keep contact with her. But I worry about her health. Diabetes and general pressure issues. If she dies, my dad wont be able to take care of my siblings. My dad will cook for them and teach them how to travel to school and stuff. But besides that, he wont know about their medical conditions or history, he cant speak much English just some. He is smart but also not really? It's weird.
Mg siblings and mum is who I worry for most. The two siblings who arent over 18 yet. I dont care for the other one because they ruined my life and became such a horrible person. I get some of it is mental health issues so they need help but I'm speaking very specifically of their character before all this began.
Anyway. I escape tomorrow. Today is technically my last day ever with my family. I do love them. I wish to text or call them from time to time but I do think a period of no contact may be necessary for both them and myself to kind of... let this choice I made sink in. I've bought games for my younger siblings where we can chat and hopefully they keep this private. I do believe that they may understand me when they reach a certain age and be more accepting than my parents.
In my letter, I'm not sure if I should say I left because I wanted to live my life or because "God guided me" and play that card. I'm semi atheist. Sometimes I believe in God and other times I dont. Right now km not really sure what I am so I say semi atheist. I will cry and cry and cry after I've made it to my partner. He and his mum will hold me close and tell me I'm safe and loved and deserve to choose the life I want. I have support. We are gonna do so many things together that we couldn't before!
I'm an artist. In so many ways. I had to hide my art with my family. With my partner, he wanted them all displayed. For Christmas, I drew portraits, more like fantasy portraits of him and his mum and his cat. They still have it displayed in their house. It warms my heart. I draw, sew, sculpt with clay, paint sometimes, do traditional pencils drawings with colour and without, digital art, pixel art for working on my game, make plushies and I plan to sew my own dresses, I like styling my hair although my hair is pretty damaged sadly, no not with heat products, more of just unhealthy hair. What else...? I just love making things with paper like water fall cards and spinning cards and pop up books. When I confessed to my partner, at the time he couldn't be with me because he wanted to make sure he was ready, I made him a well designed pop up book. It had stuff we liked, camping, gaming, sleeping, loads of pop up and sliding elements. Then on our 1st anniversary, I made him an explosion box. He was absolutely in shock as he opened it over Skype. I plan to make an even better gift for next time. For Christmas he attempted something similar, he is very creative too. He made me a book of himself. Like a little toy for my to hold around with funny comments and his cat kinda touring me through his weak knee joints Haha and his heart which loves me 100% and his little nose which if I boop, doesnt do anything, nor the the little mole he has on his face. All these drawings and details, I love it so much.
Why did I write all that... I'm trying to cope right now. I want encouragement. I'm scared. But I know I have to do this. I dont want to cry or be sad. I wanna be happy because I have this opportunity to run away move out and be free. I've saved and saved enough for at least a few years. But I'll be getting a job in the new country after I learn the language officially. By going to school to learn the language I'll keep myself occupied and busy. At my partners house we will be playing games ans cuddling and making Lego stuff and drawing and going for walks and watching films so I know I'll be happy.
I just also know I'll wonder how my family are and worry those thoughts will eat into my happy time. I dont know how to go about this.
Please... I wanna move out on happy terms. I deserve to live. To think 7 years ago I was going to take my life because I prayed constantly to God and he didnt seem to reply to it... and then I became an ex Muslim and found a new friend and then a another one of which who became my partner... I never would have believed if someone told me, hey in some years you'll move away from your family have a loving boyfriend and be free from religion. Hi everyone. There’s this film I once saw as a kid and it haunts me to this day that I can’t find it (in my 20’s now). I need to find it so I can be at peace!!
Now, I saw the film on TV so no DVD cover (sorry), I also can’t remeber the name of the channel, but it wasn’t Disney Channel or Nickelodeon, but it was definitely a kids channel.
The only scene I remember goes like this:
A group of children/teenagers (maybe like three??) are watching from a window the inside of a witch’s lair. She has some sort of coal mine, or workshop and she uses children/teenagers as her slave workers. There’s a line of them and one by one they walk up to the witch. She has a magical box and when she opens it she steals the minds and free will of these kids, making them into her slaves. When she does this the children lose their color and turn grey.
I really hope someone here watched and remembers this film.
EDIT: I’m not sure the witch was the main villain of the film, or if she was just one of the obstacles the characters faced.

So, I have been using Black Magic Pocket 6k Cinema Camera for a long time, but, it decided to give up on me last week. I have been offered to shoot my planned short film with an A7SIII for free, an offer I need to take for various reasons.
I have been shooting Sony in the past, mostly A6300 and A7SII, and I think I shot mostly in S-LOG2.
However, what picture profile would you use to get the most Cinematic feeling when color grading afterwards? Is S-LOG still the way to go or should I go with something else? It is outside on Venice Beach in cloudy weather, so that will be the setting.

"In Czech conditions, there is probably no project - for example, a film project - that would cost that much. On a global scale, I can imagine that for the price of Kingdom Come 2, you could make a medium-budget Hollywood film or even a whole series on Netflix," studio head Martin Frývaldský told CzechCrunch.
"It's in the high hundreds of millions of crowns," Frývaldský says. How high? The expansion of gaming content and the increase in Warhorse's staff - or the reference to Netflix series, which typically cost tens of millions of dollars - suggests something. Like the development costs of their first game in 2018, the developers aren't fully specifying the budget this time around. However, the creators themselves are talking about a game twice the size, and twice the size not only of the game world, but also of the studio itself.
"The budget matches the completely different requirements we had from the beginning. Both in terms of the quality of the systems and the overall gaming experience. We will spend approximately ten thousand man-months on Kingdom Come 2. The first one had about 130 people working at the peak, while on the second one we're now at 250 people, and I wouldn't be surprised if we grow a bit more," says Frývaldský.
Daniel Vávra, the game's lead designer, has hinted in the past that the budget for the first Kingdom Come was about 400 million. Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's budget could easily double that amount.

This weekend, Ajax Budokan invited Kodokan 9th dan and former head of the Tokyo Police dojo, Michio Fukushima Sensei, to conduct a 4 hour clinic for Kodokan Goshin Jutsu. It was open to yellow belt and higher, though the majority consisted of Yudansha. My senseis had the honour of demoing the kata, as Fukushima Sensei's health did not permit presenting each technique multiple times, though he did show some of the finer details, demo mechanics, and gave comments as to what was good and displayed what could be fixed. He also talked about older versions of the techniques and how/ why they have been changed. Regretfully, it totally slipped my mind to film during the seminar, as there was a lot of good information, translated (and left untranslated) by the interpreter.
Some General Notes on Fukushima Sensei Fukushima Sensei on multiple occasions mentioned how one should carry themselves and move, more specifically he talked about how he usually sees toris get away with bad shisei as uke's attacks are generally to kind or passive, and that if they genuinely attacked, most toris would be off balance. Additionally he mentioned that a lot of IFJ competition now is power judo, where the technical aspects are replaced for brute force and speed.
The main note he makes is to keep the knees alive (slightly bent and bouncy like a spring), and that most novices have a tendency to straight leg their kata. He also made it a great point to explain the logic of the waza in the kata and how the kuzushi is created. Other important details he talked about were that uke shouldn't be a limp noodle once his attack is over, that tori should keep good sabaki (unclear if sabaki was short hand for tai sabaki as he also stated tai sabaki on different occasions (the details were paraphrased by the translator)), and the usage of rotation from the hips to maintain proper balance (tai sabaki). Additionally, he talked about things relating to karada (the body) and some anecdotes (such as stories about judoka such as Michigami, Isao Okano, and Nagaoka if I was hearing correctly, though I don't speak Japanese, only somewhat familiar with it), which were left untranslated or paraphrased sadly.
Emphasised details in the kata (not explanations or descriptions of how to do a technique) and my experiences (FYI Sensei mostly used the Tomiki names for the waza Tori applied)
Attacks when held

1. Ryote dori - my partner and I (both new to this kata for the most part) went in on this one and struggled as we didn't see the detail of thumb in hand for the lock (blind leading the blind, though we later worked near a kind pair after this who helped check more closely as they were experienced in the kata)
   1. Yahazu (hook shape for hand) is very important to direct uke's arm
   2. You aren't pulling the arm away to free it, you are pushing your elbow forward which pressures uke's arm
   3. Te gatana to the uto (point between uke's eyes)
   4. When applying the lock (te gatame), make sure to rotate uke's hand such that the fingers are pointing up
   5. When applying the lock, take the uke's arm in the direction perpendicular to the line made by his feet
2. Hidari eri dori - I particularly liked this one, though my uke was confused the first few times as he kept trying to apply waki gatame.
   1. Tori must grab underneath uke's hand on the lapel when stepping back
   2. When grabbing uke's hand to break the grip and apply the lock (kote hineri), tori should have his thumb in between uke's thumb and fingers, and to take the uke's arm in the direction perpendicular to the line made by his feet
   3. Uke should try to maintain jigo tai rather than lean so the lock is applied cleanly
   4. Tori's hand should not be limp when delivering the strike
3. Migi eri dori - I couldn't get kote gaeshi to work properly, will have to practice and ask my sensei about it later, same with my partner
   1. Tori should maintain a upright posture as uke pulls him forward, and use the landing of his foot to drive his hand for the uppercut to uke
   2. Tori should try to keep uke's hand attached to his centerline as he makes tai sabaki
4. Kata ude dori - My uke was very stiff, so applying the initial lock to him proved difficult, though he claims he felt it. I found this kata easy to remember as the legs go left right left right (step, step, tai sabaki, kick, then lead with the right for the lock)
   1. You are kicking with the side of the foot
   2. The step before the kick pivot around so your feet are almost parallel
   3. For waki gatame, you should be standing inside his feet, near parallel to the line perpendicular to his feet
5. Ushiro eri dori - I had experience with this one as sensei had taught during some free time a while back
   1. The parry with the arm was stated to also be the preferred way to receive punches, though take that as you will (though it is a common method in karate as well)
   2. The strike should be to the suigetsu (solar plexus)
   3. Trap uke's hand with your head so that it can't wiggle all over the place when applying the lock
6. Ushiro jime - My partner and I both had a tendency to lift the shoulder off after spinning out, will have to work on that. I will be honest, had I known this escape, I probably would have come out of an incident a few years back (before I started Judo) rather unscathed as I was jumped and then kicked on the ground by a person who was quite a pain.
   1. The attack and initial defence are identical to that of katame no kata, following which tori rotates out
   2. Keep pressure with your shoulder until your grip has been changed
7. Kakae dori - We didn't have enough mat space to finish the throw without running into other groups, but the technique is surprisingly effective. Though I couldn't initially find out how to do the armlock and had to ask my sensei about it, now it's pretty easy.
   1. Rotate the arm away from you (clockwise from your perspective) and pull uke's arm into you
   2. During the initial stomp, straighten up and raise your arms to loosen uke's grip

Attacks when at a distance - I got less time to try these in general as I wanted my partner to get a feel for them as they are a bit more complicated and he is less experienced

1. Naname uchi - this was a fun situation, it shows how a little bit of atemi can be used to setup a randori waza, and Fukushima Sensei complimented my senseis' performance saying that it was better than the current text book
   1. Te gatana is used to redirect the strike
   2. Osoto otoshi is performed
   3. Pushing the arm through is important to create the kuzushi necessary for the waza
2. Ago tsuki - I didn't actually get a chance to try this one more than once as my partner struggled with it, he kept applying a shoulder lock by pushing on the elbow without the redirect with the thumb up (shoulder is still sore)
   1. when directing uke's attack up and away, do not lean back as then you are unstable
   2. Use yahazu to direct uke's elbow toward his ear
   3. As uke will not like this use the moment after releasing the elbow lock to throw him forward in the direction perpendicular to his feet.
3. Gammen Tsuki - My partner really liked this one, I can see the uses as I've used similar entries when messing around with strikes + judo with this partner as I have a bit of karate experience
   1. Uke is meant to do a break fall, thus tori needs to get out of the way after releasing the choke
   2. Uke should realistically be aiming for where tori's uto would be if he did not evade
4. Mae Geri - this was a relatively easy one to grasp, but quite a bit of practice is needed before a full force kick can be considered
   1. Rotate ukes foot outwards so that it is not easy for him to rotate in to escape
   2. In the original, tori would lift uke's leg high but many ukes ended up injured from hitting their heads, so now tori just pushes back
5. Yoko geri - My sensei has introduced this one at the dojo before as well, though he prefaced it with about a minute of just practicing a side kick. My partner (who suffers from light knee pain) couldn't kneel during the finish
   1. The use of the te gatana to redirect the kick in the direction it is going, very similar to karates low block
   2. During the finish tori creates a void for uke to be thrown but in real life tori would throw uke onto his knee

Attacks with weapons - I understand people dislike these (reasonably in some cases), but I've found them to be useful points to explore
Attacks with a knife - Sensei Fukushima mentioned how despite my senseis making it look easy
Both my partner and I have practiced these quite a lot (I was the only one who was taught it by sensei but we practiced it on our own time), so not as many personal notes. Though I don't have a good experience so my brain switches to serious and my heart rate increases despite the fact that I know these are fake weapons.

1. Tsukkake
   1. The elbow should be pushed forward (I've actually experimented with this in the past by asking uke to try to stab me as I applied the defence, and we've found after the initial push and strike, tori is in a relatively good position, be it to run away or finish the kata)
   2. Push the locked up arm up and towards uke, then guide him to the ground
2. Choku zuki - I struggled to apply the waki gatame, I'm guessing it was control of the wrist that was the problem, this form is relatively straight forward and makes sense
   1. The strike should not be a boxer style punch, but more like the first punch in szkt
   2. uke should not go limp
   3. when moving away from uke, take him perpendicular to the line between his feet
3. Naname Zuki - Personally I think this form is cutting it close in many regards, but the control tori has is quite surprising
   1. Don't grab the blade from the sharp edge

Attacks with a jo - PSA, no matter how much you trust your uke, mistakes happen (especially with such a solid weapon) so remain vigilant to mitigate damage

1. Furi age - this was a relatively easy technique to grasp as it is an application of O soto gari setup with a palm strike to the chind
   1. Tori should enter as soon as uke begins to raise his arm, almost a preemptive entry
   2. Tori strikes at the ago (chin) with a palm strike, then places his hand on the throat for the throw
2. Furi oroshi - My partner leant into the swing and wacked me on the forehead, it could've been worse but it just grazed the outer layer as I saw the jo come closer after my initial retreat and attempted to turn out of the way. Both a PSA for tori and uke. Tori do not keep your eyes off uke, and uke please don't lean into a swing, you are horribly off balance, and you make it harder for tori to read. Also uke don't speed up when you 2 are learning (I don't know why my partner chose too...)
   1. Do not hop back onto one leg and then towards uke with the other, it leads you to have bad posture
   2. Better to make a big retreat than get hit
   3. 2 strike, one ura ken (back fist), followed by knife hand push
   4. Uke's swing should be at a diagonal
3. Morote zuki - I didn't get to practice this one as my partner was taken a bit aback after the previous incident and couldn't get the steps right for this one. Fukushima Sensei mentioned something along the lines of how a judoka was faced with a juken and couldn't figure out what to do, and thus this form was created to address that.
   1. Tori shouldn't be rowing the jow away to shake throw uke
   2. The arm puts pressure on uke's arm forward
   3. Tori should be trying to angle the jo down towards himself after the initial grab

Attacks with a gun - I struggled with all of these, but I think the principles are relatively sound. Though in real life, I'd most likely give up my valuables. Fukushima Sensei emphasised hip rotation in these movements, as he says that you want to direct the gun away without moving your feet, which is what uke would be seeing when looking at your pocket.
Always make sure to begin your defence after uke is clearly focused on checking your pockets, never when his focus is directly on you

1. Shomen Zuke
   1. Grab the barrel of the gun thumb up
   2. During the disarm, push the gun's muzzle to face towards him
2. Koshi Gamae - I kept getting the second hand wrong and thus the barallel was pointed towards me in the final attack, will need to work on that
   1. Grab the barrel of gun initially with the thumb down with your right hand, and push the gun so that it is horizontal after turning left, then grab the gun from below with your right
   2. make sure to not point the gun at yourself when hitting with the butt
3. Haimen Zuke - this is quite a dangerous move in theory, but also one of the more likely ones
   1. Wrap uke's arm with your arm, but make sure to direct the muzzle up with the free arm
   2. [uke] should let go of gun, as this is a hard breakfall

Overarching and repeated themes in the kata

• The use of yahazu to direct the arm rather than grips
• Keeping uke's hand connected to your centerline when applying kansetsu waza
• te gatana is a useful tool to redirect and or strike the opponent quickly
• During the gun portion, always rotate the gun off your centerline, so that even if it does fire, it doesn't penetrate too deep
• Control the gun by the muzzle
• most finishes are done by guiding uke perpendicular to the line in between his feet
• Do not directly oppose an opponents force
• Maintanence of balance at all times and moving from the hips is key
• Uke should attack meaningfully
• Action reaction is used quite a lot to first lock uke up towards his face, so that when he pushes back he is easily lead away

Overall, it was quite a good event, and I learned a lot. This kata isn't the most realistic with the attacks (though apparently a few people I know have used the ryote dori attack shockingly), but what I've learned so far is relatively sound, hopefully some time soon I can convince my partner to do some live resistance sparring with some gear on (which I have done with the knife portion with a plastic knife). Fukushima Sensei had a lot to say, as he was actively discussing his experiences and koshiki no kata after the seminar with another Japanese speaker, and I hope to be able to attend another one of his classes again someday.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie is an animated film about two Brooklyn plumbers, Mario (voiced by Chris Pratt) and Luigi (voiced by Charlie Day).

During the chaos of their arrival, Mario and Luigi get separated. Mario ends up teaming up with Peach and Toad to save Luigi, defeat Bowser, and bring peace back to the Mushroom Kingdom.

Saying this as a softcore fan who got into the hobby mainly because a friend of mine introduced me to the first 2 episodes of this amazing fanmade series(that and TTS). Every 40k fans I since knew have watched and enjoyed it. I collected official miniatures and enjoyed the hobby the way i like before the fan animation massacre.
Now, I understand the company's commercial considerations when astartes was taken down. There was some rage among fans, and I turned to resin shortly afterwards. However, GW did not simply took the astartes down-they gave Syama Pedersen (the creator) the authorization to continue the work, which will sell with other works in Warhammer TV in a bundle. The creator was ever passionate about his project until he had to work within the official narrative. We got teasers for astartes 2 months after the first one was finished, but years later after GW meddled in, no more teasers were to be found and the creator is already working on some copyright-free projects instead.
The thing is, they claimed it, and have done nothing with it. Games Wokshop clearly wanted to evade taking the full brunt of the backlash, so they kept appeasing the angry fans like me for the past years, veiling its death while expecting we'd forget. 1 year ago someone asked if its still there and whoever runs the official twitter account just replied something like it's still on the way. Now a year have passed and with the ongoing project of a Netflix TV series the astares 2 is nowhere to be found. What a disgrace to see a work of art and passion to be snuffed out like this.
Also saying why i regarded that as a great loss for fans, especially space marine enjoyers: The reason why i was pessimistic at the start, is knowing that GW relies its profit on its miniatures. The miniatures go first, then the animations. Check the earlier ultramarine film ( that 'Burn! Heretic' one) , along with all other Warhammer TV works they allowed to be released, there is one constant truth: The space marines will always be like what they looked like as miniatures, almost 1:1 faithful, only amplified to human scale. May I say it never looked good? I'd say it’s true from cinematic perspectives.
Many aspects of the minatures, that made them stood out on table, (bright contrasting colour, too balanced proportions, ornaments) looks cartoonish the moment they are in human scale and started moving. The proportions look too balanced, with each body parts having the same volume and nothing stood out too much, with MK10 even the pauldrons are nerfed in visual impact. The ornaments looked decadently rich on a miniature but without further enhancements they look burdensomely thick and cheap. (It's solved in Death of Hope, also in astartes, which simply toned down the ornaments) . Furthermore, in cinematic medias, each nooks and crannies of the miniatures will be brought under the viewer's inspection and will be instantly pondered the way how they felt natural existing like this. They will appear, as they probably are, carelessly thought out. Even the recent salamanders one looked like a glorified lego commercial. It's all toys.
The astartes's MK7, however, can be clearly seen to have undergone numerous redesigns all in consideration of its presentation, leading to sweet reinterpretation of proportions and details. Every line and details seems to be rendered in pinpoint 3d modeling so it truly appears as a purposeful work of technology, as it should be. The helmet, less round shaped but more agressive looking. The eerily long trunk legs. The filling of details like how the hand moves in cone-like wrist armour, how the pauldrons move in sync to motion, what's behind the visors...All presented proudly to the audience. Many of these are more evaded than dealt with in official works. As a work dedocated solely to the purpose of presenting 'space marine in motion', it has a lot more cinematic potential than the official works, no, I'd say it's cinema ready.
