I (38 F) have been married to my husband (41 M) for 7 years, this coming June and together for 9 years. We have two kids, twin boys, that are 5 months old. I'm going to give a long backstory so stay with me or scroll to the bottom for the TL;DR.
2 weeks before Mother's Day, I found out my husband had been cheating on me for at least 7 months. I used his phone to use the Lowe's app to order lawn chairs since it's tied to our Lowe's card and I wanted to use our rewards. While I was looking for the particular set I want, he received a Snapchat notification from a woman. I didn't even know he had Snapchat so it peaked my interest. During this time, my husband was mowing the grass.
I open the snap and it's a nude of a woman looking to be in her mid-20s with the caption "I miss you being inside of me". My jaw hit the floor. I started going through his text messages and there were no conversations there with other women except employees from his practice (he is a dermatologist) that were harmless.
I started looking through his Snapchat and I guess he deletes everything because there were no chats between him and this woman. I am not familiar with Snapchat so I Google how to use it while I'm trying to figure out if I can retrieve deleted messages. I don't want to spend all the time I have left of him mowing reading through articles so I give up. I do go through his friend's list and end up coming back to it to take a picture of with my phone.
I look through the rest of the apps on his phone and they all seem benign except this secure folder. I open it and there's a passcode. I try three or four until I figure it out (the date of our first date, ironically) and it opens. There are dozens of nude photos of at least 3 women, including the woman from Snapchat. I know it's the woman from Snapchat because she has a very distinct tattoo on her stomach. Not only are there nudes but there are 2 videos of this same woman giving him oral.
My heart felt like it was trying to come out of my chest. I started shaking and tears started flowing. I took a few deep breaths to calm myself down and then grabbed my phone and started taking pictures of the evidence. I even recorded clips of the videos, I just couldn't watch them in their entirety.
I look through all the apps again and realize that maybe he has some hidden. So, I google hidden apps on android and follow the instructions. Three apps were hidden. Two messaging apps and a hook-up app called Adult friend finder. I debated even opening them because I was so scared of what I would find. But I ended up viewing them because knowing is better than not knowing for me.
He had been messaging at least 4 different women, including the video girl. He had sex with at least two of them that I found proof of. All messages made me sick but the video girl's messages were the worst and completely shattered my heart. I had to stop to go throw up because of the stress and anxiety.
Some messages that hurt me the most were: Her: "Tell me how much better my p***y is than your wife's." Him: "Wetter, tighter and infinitely better."
Her: *sends nude* "How does my body compare to your wife's?" Him: "There is no comparison baby, you are a goddess."
There were so many others but those two come to mind as the ones that made me feel the absolute worst. Remember, I just had twins 5 months ago. I am very insecure due to all of the changes that happened to my body and my c-section scar. I am also 25 pounds heavier than I was pre-pregnancy. My husband and I stopped having sex because it was so uncomfortable for me about 2 months before I gave birth, around the same time he started messaging these women coincidentally. We've only had sex about three times since they were born due to my insecurity issues and just being so exhausted caring for and breastfeeding twins every day. I also have a business and work from home around the twins' schedules so I can stay at home with them.
I take photos of everything, using my phone again like before. The earliest messages were sent 7 months ago so I know it had been going on for at least 7 months, while I was freaking pregnant with our twins. Oh, I also found out that the night after I had a c-section and while our newborn preemie twins were in the NICU, he met with video girl for a hook-up at her apartment. He told me he was going to get food and check on his office. With our twins being preemies, anything could have happened and he wouldn't have been there because he was with her. But, that wasn't a thought for him I guess.
I close out all the apps, make sure the hidden ones are hidden from his home screen and put his phone back exactly where I found it. I also make sure the snap notification was gone. I was nervous that he would find out about the snap that was opened but he didn't.
I call my best friend of over 33 years who is also my business partner. I tell him everything and have a good cry to let it all out. He helps me to collect myself and gives me some sound advice. He tells me to not tell my husband I found anything yet and to speak with a divorce lawyer as soon as possible. He said to meet with the best ones in my area so that they couldn't represent my husband. He offers me and the twins a place to stay at his home if I need time away from my husband, assuring me that his husband would love to have me there.
Over the next week, my BFF helps me take care of the twins while meet with 5 different divorce lawyers and end up hiring, in my opinion, the best. She tells me not to leave the family home so I end up not going to stay with my BFF. She starts the divorce paperwork immediately. During this time, I am doing my best to continue on like nothing is wrong. I want to make sure all of my ducks are in a row before he realizes what I know.
Fast-forward to Mother's Day. My husband makes me breakfast in bed, gives me very expensive jewelry, flowers, the works. I can't enjoy it, of course, because it feels so fake now that I know what he's been up to. I pretend to love it though.
My husband's father planned a cook out that afternoon for my husband's mother, sister (let's call her Julie), sister-in-law (let's call her Fran) and me. We all have infants under a year old so it's everyone's first Mother's day, except my MIL's of course. I told my husband that I didn't feel like going and he guilt-tripped me by saying that my FIL had a big surprise for me and he's been really looking forward giving it to me. So, I reluctantly agree. I ask if my BFF can come since his mother sadly passed away just under a year ago. He calls his dad and my FIL replies that of course he can come. My BFF agreed to come to offer me support since he knew it would be very difficult for me to be there.
I plan to act like nothing's wrong and try to enjoy the day since it's my first Mother's Day after all. I tell myself that I will focus on the twins and get cuddles from my two nieces. Julie has an 8 month old daughter and Fran (husband's brother's wife) has a 10 month old daughter. I'm also the closest to Julie out of all his family since we became friends 10 years ago and she's the one who introduced me to my husband.
We get there and everything is fine. My husband is helping his dad, brother (let's call him Chris), BIL (let's call him Roger) cook on the grill. My MIL and the women are taking turns holding the babies. My BFF took over the kitchen, finishing up all of the sides so the moms could relax. It started out to be a really good day. I kept myself from thinking of my husband's betrayal for the most part and focused on the family.
After we eat my MIL starts taking pictures of the family. I'm sitting on the couch and she tells my husband to sit beside me for the photo. He does and then she tells him to put his arm around me and jokingly says "pretend like you love her" and I lose it. I start to uncontrollably sob.
My MIL pulls me up and hugs me and my FIL comes over and joins in the hug. My BFF comes to stand right next to me. My FIL asks me what was wrong. I look at my BFF and he gives me a "tell if you want" look.
I tell them that I found out my husband has been cheating on me for at least 7 months. Julie gasps and everyone stares at my husband. He stands up and says "that's not true at all, why would you think that? You know you and the boys are my whole world." Everyone is silent, looking at me. I tell them all that I found messages, pictures, the hook-up app and even videos on his phone. My husband looks faint and sits back down. Nobody says anything for at least 2 minutes.
Finally, Julie asks my husband, while crying herself, why? My husband tells her that "I made a mistake, I only talked to the women, I never physically cheated." My BFF quickly replies, "Liar!" Julie then asks me what all I found. I tell them everything, the nudes, the videos of my husband receiving oral, the messages and even tell them what those horrible messages said about me. He continues to deny it! I pull up a few message photos and show them to Julie, my MIL and FIL. My husband tries to gaslight me by saying that he admitted to talking to other women but he never slept with any of them. I really don't want to show them the video but I do find a few messages where my husband and a woman talked about their previous sexual encounters. My husband again says that he admitted to talking to them but never really cheated. He literally says "if the message talks about sex it was just role playing."
Roger (Julie's husband) goes over to my husband and jerks his phone out of his hand. My husband tries to get it back but Roger is 6'7 and my husband is 6'1 so he just holds it up where my husband can't reach. He asks me what his passcode is and I tell him. He then asks me where to find things and as I start to tell him my husband grabs his phone back.
At this point my MIL, Julie and Fran are all crying. Chris starts getting upset with me. He tells me this was not the time nor place to bring this all up and that I ruined Julie and Fran's first Mother's Day. Julie speaks up and says no, my husband is the one who ruined it. Chris starts yelling and saying that our personal business needs to stay private and that I had no right to bring it up to his family and ruin the only first mother's day the women will get. Fran agrees with him and tells me I'm definitely in the wrong for bringing it up, if it even is true.
At this point both of my twins start crying. I am not going to breastfeed them there and I want to get out of that house as quick as possible. I ask my BFF to take me home and we transfer the car seats from my husband's vehicle into his. My MIL follows me outside and says that Chris was right, I should have kept it all to myself and that now future Mother's Days will be a reminder of this fiasco for everyone. I just ignore her and put the twins in the car. My husband comes outside and asks if we can please talk. I tell him no, get in the car and my BFF, the twins and I leave. I end up feeling horrible and guilty that I let it all out to everyone.
My husband didn't come home and ended up staying at his parents house and has been there the past two nights. He got my FIL to come over Sunday evening and pick up clothes, toiletries, work stuff and various other items. While he was here I asked him, did I ruin Mother's Day? He tells me no that my husband did. He said that he asked me what was wrong and I was honest. He said he understood now why the "pretend like you love her" comment caused me to breakdown. I asked him about my MIL, Chris and Fran since I know Julie and Roger aren't mad at me. He said that they are still angry with me but they will eventually get over it.
TL;DR - I found out my husband had been cheating on me for at least 7 months with multiple women, starting while I was pregnant with our twins and continuing after I gave birth. I didn't tell him I knew for 2 weeks. At a Mother's Day cookout that his family hosted for his mother, me, his sister and sister-in-law, his mother made a comment that made me break down. I ended up telling everyone about the infidelity. His brother, SIL, and mother told me I ruined his sister and SIL's first Mother's Day. and that I shouldn't have said anything about the affairs.
Am I the AH?

I'm a designer at an ad agency and occasionally do post production on commercial shoots. And I've gotten spoiled with the quality of photos and how much information you can recover in the darks and lights from these extremely high resolution raw photos shot on top-tier cameras by the professional photographers we hire.
But I'm looking for a camera for my own personal use. I could save up and get an R5 and that'll probably get me there. But that seems like it's a bit beyond my own needs.
I don't do photography super often. Mainly I will either do street photography when I travel, or I use my camera for utility purposes – Shooting photos of paper mockups, portfolio shots of packaging pieces I've designed, making content videos for my own music instagram, taking photos for album and single artwork (as I also play music and produce for fun), etc.. So I like versatility, but with a niche in street photography.
My problems with the current Rebel T5i:

• I feel like it struggles when I cant get enough light. Photos are quite noisy in general. ISO on this camera only goes up to 12800. It seems newer cameras usually go up higher. But if I need to go above 400 at all, it'll be pretty noisy.
• Dynamic range seems to be a struggle. Even the raw photos are not very forgiving when trying to recover lights and darks. Again, this is in comparison to photos we get back from photoshoots shot on full-frame cameras.
• Mirrored camera. So it is much slower and more bulky and loud than a mirrorless.
• No 4k video. Not the biggest issue, but I'd like the option.

What I'd like:

• I'm seeing some mixed information on full frame sensors. But I feel like that would help with the issues I'm facing and I would appreciate the wider view from a larger sensor.
• I'd like to keep my camera as compact and light as possible when doing street photography. So I'd like there to be decent options as far as pancake prime lenses. I have a canon 24mm which I don't love. I also have a Sigma 35mm Art lens that I absolutely love, except that it's quite large.
• Mirrorless – I think this helps the camera be quieter, faster and more compact. Also great that many mirrorless cameras have a screen in the viewfinder so you aren't literally staring at the sun when shooting at the sun.
• Something that does well in low light with much less noise than I currently get.

What cameras would you guys recommend? What other features and specs are important to look for nowadays?
A friend recommended the Fuji x100v. I love that for the street photography, but I would probably have to keep my Rebel t5i for just general camera utility uses with different lenses. It doesn't seem like a full replacement.
I'd say budget is under $2000 for camera body. But I'm in no rush and can save up the money. I just want to know what to aim for.
Also, currently I have Canon EF and EFS lenses and I know that pretty much anything I'm looking at is going to be incompatible. If I want to stay compact (not ad an inch with a converter), I'm probably going to end up selling these and buying new lenses for a replacement camera.

The invasion of Israel last year launched by Hamas is part of the larger conflict known as the Israeli–Palestinian conflict. This conflict earned its root from Resolution 181, a plan passed with 72% of votes in favour in 1947 to create a living space for the Jewish people. The Arab states invaded Israel in 1948 and were pushed back. Conflicts between Israel and other Arab states led to heavy death tolls on both sides.
With both Hamas and Israel suffering from heavy civilian casualties, students from nations such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, Austria, and Australia caused a stir calling for Israel to stop the armed conflict they did not pick with Palestine. Students might have found the killings of Israelis that led to heavy civilian casualties casual enough, but surely not casual remarks supporting Israel.
Student protests on school campuses worldwide left many Jewish students uncomfortable and unsafe. Activist Charlie Kirk was recently invited to the University of Washington to talk with college students. Both the SPD and UWPD were present. United Front member Tabeed said, “We believe that we keep us safe … we don’t believe that cops keep us safe here.” It is rational for criminals to repeat these same words.
In a Senate hearing in May, Senator Josh Hawley quoting what pro-Palestine protestors at Columbia University said to Jewish students said, “The seventh of October is going to be every day for you.” There was much more shown in the hearing and he revealed that some of these students are undocumented. Under section 1182 of the eighth title of the U.S. Code, these students are engaging in terrorist activities.
In 2018, activist Charlie Kirk felt he was not welcomed by the student body at Texas State University and thought he was banned. Expressing his views online, he tweeted that instances like this made former president Donald Trump sign an executive order protecting free speech. TPUSA was later accused of “using intimidation and harassment to control students, faculty, and staff for their practice of promoting hate speech.” The student body at Texas State University called for the university to deplatform TPUSA for the “consistent history of creating hostile work and learning environments through a myriad of intimidation tactics aimed against students and faculty” that they think TPUSA has.
Students have been trying to deplatform invited speakers and administrators they don’t like on school grounds. In 2015, Yale professor Nicholas A. Christakis, MD, PhD, MPH, was confronted by students and accused of being insensitive for defending the right to wear freely. Students should respect the judicial system. It will surely be interesting to see how pro-Palestine protestors react to the case NSPA v. Skokie that happened in 1977. In 2017, Charles Murray was forced to shut down his lecture when students started shouting to stop him from being heard. Last month, Jewish professor Shai Davidai of Columbia was banned from the university after being vocal against the Free Palestine movement.
In the speech made by psychologist Jonathan Haidt explaining The Coddling of the American Mind, his book that talks about college students today, he stated that parents today are overprotective of their children. He explained that this will lead to their children feeling entitled to never being or even feeling offended in his book. Students now think it is written that it is a right to not feel offended.
St Monica's in Milton Keynes banned whistles for being too aggressive for children. Haidt and Greg Lukianoff noted that the UCs included “I believe the most qualified person should get the job,” in their list of offensive speech. Editor Josh Salisbury who wrote that cliffhangers should be illegal, thinks it's the right that needs to grow. The movement Why Is My Curriculum White? is about students who want more views.
Hate speech is inappropriate and can be unprovoked, yet it is unfair to say that it is not a form of free speech. Hate speech can be an incitement, but it can also not be. It is unfair to ban and remove hate speech because some people get offended because they are not emotionally tough enough. However, the student protests supporting an aggressor in war are not strictly free of hate speech inciting violence.
If pro-Palestine students can be selfless enough to use their time to protest, they should be selfless enough to not disturb others from their day-to-day life with actions like blocking roads or distracting other students who are focusing on studying. If they could rather debate instead of protest and deplatform or protest virtually on SNS, there surely will be more law and order across school campuses worldwide.
Some students are also furious that universities are investing their money in companies tied to Israel. However, the students are the ones paying these universities for their degrees; they won’t drop out. Recently, the University of Minnesota claimed that less than 1% of all of its endowments go to companies tied with Israel. The students occupying Hamilton Hall as they did back in 1968 seem to be proud of their history, yet it seems like they forgot how they were also arrested. Private universities hold the right to manage free speech on their properties. In Bethel School District v. Fraser, public schools were also given the right to limit and control free speech on campus.

I'm going to preface this with the stereotypical "I never post I usually just lurk" statement so apologies if I use the wrong tags or my statement seems out of pocket. But this is something that's been heavy on my mind lately and I was wondering how other folks in the field felt about it. I've been an RBT for three years and am six months out from finishing my masters in ABA. I have a background (BSW) in social work and using trauma informed care with addicts and incarcerated women. However, after interning at a women's center and being sent on DV and rape cases I needed a break. I initially went into ABA with the thought "oh I'd love to help kids!". As I spent more time in the field my mentor introduced me to Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and my views started to shift towards a more radical view of behaviorism. I love ACT. ACT supports beliefs I held long before I knew what it was. I use it with adult and teen clients, have developed my own metaphors and teaching curriculum for adult social skills groups, and am one of those nerdy people who brings it up in conversation far too frequently. Now that I'm almost through my masters I am realizing that yes, I LOVE ABA as a science and the more I learn the more fascinated I am by the study of behavior. Why do we behave the way we do? How do our private events influence our observable behaviors? How does the environment shape our behaviors? It's fascinating stuff! But the majority of my coursework has focused on treating individuals with autism, mostly kids, and other cognitive or learning disabilities. But there's so much more to it than that! I feel stuck now because I realize I absolutely do not want to spend the rest of my career in a clinic getting slapped around by small children, sick every 5 minutes because kids are germ goblins, or dealing with parents and money hungry ABA corporations. The more I understand ABA, the more I want to switch my focus back to working with recovering addicts and incarcerated individuals, because I truly believe ABA and ACT would be beneficial to those populations. Does anyone have any input on this? Have you seen ABA used in these settings? Am I just burnt out? Have I made a terrible decision going back to school for ABA?

Personally, I've been rating albums for six years and there have been periods where I've been too focused on giving a rating that reflects my opinion on an album rather than enjoying it. Recently I've been randomly revisiting some albums that I've loved and listening to some new ones without taking into account any rating and, to be honest, I've rediscovered what genuinely listening to music is.
I think that in the music community there's too much emphasis on rating and reviewing an album and less on just discussing and sharing music. I see people listening to 4 or 5 albums a day and rating them on RYM and I genuinely feel that they can't be enjoying all that music, it must feel like a chore to them. To listen to an album and then immediately give it a rating and forget that it exists, without taking into consideration how an album grows on you with time, how mood can affect your enjoyment of it, what that album meant at the time it was released and what it means now...
When I started to be a music lover I used to dig deep into YouTube recommendations, click on any album with an interesting cover art or title, and then enjoy it while reading all the positive comments left by the users. When I moved to RYM for my recs I entered a world that dug deeper into music (YouTube, unless a documentary, views music on a superficial level), but I also saw a passive-aggressive, elitist side of music that I don't quite like, and I think that it affected my way of enjoying music because I took into account the general opinion of the site.
Now I'm going back to just clicking on YouTube videos, talking to people about music and listening to whatever they recommend, living music in a less analytical way and letting myself enjoy whatever comes into my hands without thinking if it's considered good music or radio-friendly commercial crap.

This band absolutely rules. Their album Grey Britain is riff planet. So much tension in and between their songs, it’s like a concept album of fury and betrayal. Truly insane how good this album is from start to finish. It’s got old school punk attitude with new school punk ferocity. It’s got orchestras throughout, seamlessly incorporating symphonic elements into chainsaw guitar sounds. I used to slam this album throughout 2010-2012, and I was worried it might age poorly, but it definitely did not. Even the slowest song speeds up and gets heavy. And then at the end of the pissed-off ultimate song called “Crucifucks” they do this epic movie score-tier outro. It literally makes me cry it’s so beautiful.

This will be a longer story, but I feel like sharing it because of how much this band has resonated with me lately.
So I attended high school between 2010 and 2014 and I distinctly remembered chatting with a metalhead friend over Facebook messenger about recent metal bands I should check out.
Up to that point, most of the metal I’ve listened to have been classic metal like Black Sabbath and thrash metal like Metallica and Megadeth. The only other metal band I’ve throughly enjoyed during that time was Tool.
I’m generally not a fan of metal bands with a lot of dirty vocals, but I wanted to be open minded and expand my musical palette.
The friend in question recommended me Strawberry Swisher, Part 2 and was immediately impressed. We chatted about them for a bit and I listened to DBM and pretty much stuck with that album for a while since I really enjoyed the intricate instrumentation and the dynamics between the dirty and clean vocals.
After high school though, I pretty much went on my own in terms of finding music and listened to nothing but Rock music - and all of the sub genres within - as well as jazz, hip-hop, folk and indie music. I occasionally dipped my toes back into Metal, mostly Tool and the other metal bands I’ve mentioned, and slowly got into other heavier bands like At The Drive-In, Lighting Bolt, Death Grips, and Atari Teenage Riot (all of whom I still love.)
Two years ago, I got heavily (and still am) into jam bands and have been obsessed with them to this day. But at a certain point, I wanted to take a break from the feel good, funky vibes and wanted to get back into metal; however, I didn’t want to go back to the usual bands I’ve listened to in the past and wanted to find something new.
Then this year, I started supporting this webcartoon called “Ratbasterdz,” (a show I strongly recommended to everyone here), on Patreon which has a metalcore heavy soundtrack that clicked with me even though I’m not the biggest fan of that sub-genre.
Since I was supporting the show on Patreon, I have access to their discord server and started chatting with them about different music. I eventually asked for recommendations of “progressive metalcore” groups as I really champion heavier bands that have strong musicianship.
Three of the recommendations were From Autumn to Ashes, Bring Me The Horizon, and (finally) Dance Gavin Dance. I let out a big “oh shit!” when I saw that name as I’ve completely forgotten about them for so long and, somehow, never bothered to re-listen to them.
Listening to DBD and Happiness again filled me with not just nostalgia, but a newfound appreciation of the band and I couldn’t help but feel like an idiot for not giving them another chance and missing out on seeing them live during the 2000’s and 2010’s.
While I haven’t listened to all of their albums, I’m slowly making my way through them and can’t help but love their sound, their songwriting, and their passionate performances.
Welp…that’s my boring story. In a nutshell DGD rules and I’m glad I dove back into them.

My wife and I under contract to buy and are moving from our home to a nearby subdivision, and have accepted an offer from Opendoor to purchase our current home-- also under contract.
When this came up with our next door neighbor, she indicated over text that evening that she had a friend who wants to buy our house. This neighbor runs a daycare business out of her home-- She is very frugal and I've seen her get better pricing than we have with contractors we both worked with in the past-- she's big on cutting out the middle man, and often encourages us to do the same. We aren't always comfortable with using her negotiation methods, and generally don't mind spending more/making less than her tolerance for such things seem to be.
Opendoor seems to make things easy, and I don't have a lot of bandwidth to deal with a private sale or traditional home sale. My wife and I view the profit Opendoor will make on our home a simple cost of said convenience-- and I've communicated these issues to my neighbor. It seems like she still wants us to talk to her friend, but I just don't see a path forward that doesn't involve a lot of time, effort and (frankly) risk for relatively little monetary reward.
Can anyone share information on what typical closing costs for sellers look like in the context of an unlisted/private sale in North Carolina, and how we would even go about facilitating this?

Hi all, I used to be a tMG superfan when I was a bit younger but have fallen off the map somewhat over the past five or so years. However, the Goats are now coming to a city near me (Glasgow) and I've got a ticket to go, but I'm conscious John + co. will likely play a load of stuff I don't know, especially given how prolific a songwriter John is.
The last album I really loved was All Eternals Deck. TY was the first Goats album I actually disliked (bar Lakeside View, Cry for Judas, and Harlem Roulette, which are bangers) but I liked BtC and even came around to Goths (more or less). I have basically not engaged with anything from In League with Dragons onward. So: what have I missed? What's good in the new load?

I’m after the relationship that goes the distance, the one that results in love and, when the time is right, the ‘m word’. I can’t think of anything I look forward to more than spending my life with the woman I love.
I love physical displays of affection, both public and otherwise. Gestures like holding, hugging, etc, are something I adore and would always welcome, especially because I love the excitement and warm feeling that come with being close to the one you love.
The person I am after is someone who is kind and caring, somebody that I can relaxed around. I don’t want the stress of being around someone who gets set off my the smallest thing. My sense of humour is varied, although it can best be described as something of a mix of Chandler Bing (RIP) and Edmund Blackadder.
When we’re together, my ideal night would involve spending our time at home, curled up on the sofa together and watching a film, or playing a game, although I’m not against the occasional day/night out if it’s just the two of us.I watch little in the way of current TV or films, and almost no sport. My main solo hobbies can be found on my friends post.
If we’re apart, as I presume we would be in the early days of our relationship, then, because I game a fair bit, I’d be open to you watching me play something, or vice versa if you game as well. We could also chat while we play our own individual games. We can also watch films, TV, etc, or whatever may bring us closer together.
I’m in the UK, so I would prefer to talk to someone who is also in the UK, as it would make things convenient for the both of us, and it would also make meeting up easier, and I would want to meet up if things progress well. However, I am open to talking to people who are overseas, as long as you’re moving to the UK in the near future, and that the move is, if not set in stone, then is at least guaranteed to happen or to be able to happen. Be aware that I am unable to travel overseas, although not for any nefarious reason.
I’m a vegetarian, though I don’t mind being around meat eaters as long as they’re respectful of how I feel. I don’t drink and, while I’m okay being with someone who does, it won’t work if you’re a person who drinks frequently. I’m non-religious and non-spiritual, and this will never change, and my views are generally what you’d call progressive and liberal. Disparate views are one thing, but if you use terms like ‘PC/PC culture’, ‘liberal’ or ‘woke’ as pejoratives, we will not get along. In addition, I do not smoke and will not be with a smoker.
I’m okay with either private messaging or Reddit chat, though I’d like to move off Reddit once we both feel comfortable doing so. Once we’ve moved to a different platform, exchanging pictures is then also something that would be done once we’re both comfortable, as would voice and video chat, especially because the best way to really get to know someone is through real-time communication.

I want to take a moment to list out some of my most challenging problems with Protestantism according to what Scripture says, in no particular order. It is not a comprehensive list of all of the problems that I have with it, but having these answered would go a long way to me taking Protestantism seriously from a theological viewpoint.
We should rely on our own personal interpretation of Scripture
And we have the prophetic word made more sure. You will do well to pay attention to this as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts. ²⁰ First of all you must understand this, that no prophecy of scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation, ²¹ because no prophecy ever came by the impulse of man, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.
Here, Peter is saying PAY ATTENTION TO THE CHURCH!!! Listen to what the apostles are teaching and allow that to form your reading of Scripture. If you read the rest of this chapter, He says that "we" (the apostles) have had given to them, "all things that pertain to life and godliness" through knowledge of Jesus Christ. When we read Scripture, we should not read it solely with our own understanding, but allow ourselves to be taught by the apostles (or those appointed by them as successors).
When it comes to Sola Scriptura, I do not see how it is not relying on one's own personal interpretation. How do I know that I am understanding Scripture correctly? How do I know that I do not have an interpretation that is horribly off base? I have never really gotten an answer to this from Protestants.
If I am debating Scripture, according to Protestants, I am debating the sole highest authority. So if I test my interpretation against something else, I am testing against a lesser authority and thus it can still be challenged and I have not sufficiently solved the problem.
We only need to declare Jesus as Lord to get to Heaven
“Not every one who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
Here Jesus flatly says professing that Jesus is Lord is not enough to get you into Heaven, but doing the will of the Father. Yes, we are saved by faith through grace. If you get baptized and are shot dead the moment you walk out of the church, you will go to Heaven having done nothing except making that "leap of faith." If you are in a car crash and have a minute to live and all you can do is place your trust in Jesus, yes, you will be saved. But for 99.99999% of people, this is not the case. We have our entire lives to live after baptism. So the question is "Do we live according to what we profess with our mouth?"
If I say "I am an Orioles fan." but only ever go to/watch Yankees games and only ever root for the Yankees, would you say that I am actually an Orioles fan? Do I not call into question that statement that I made by my actions? What if I grow up as an Orioles fan, regularly attending games and watching them daily. But then later, my favorite player gets traded to the Yankees and I convert to a Yankees fan. Was I never an Orioles fan to begin with? No. That would be silly. I was an Orioles fan, but then became a Yankees fan.
Likewise, if I say "I am a Christian and believe that Jesus rose from the dead." But I never attend Church, I am not loving others, I am worshipping other gods, etc. Am I really a Christian? Maybe I was at one point, but I certainly am not now based on what I have done.
As such, yes, it is true that works do not save us, but if we act contrary to what we believe, we cannot have assurance of our salvation. Hopefully God still finds a way to bring us to Heaven. I would rather someone spend 1000 years after death having their soul purified knowing that they will go to Heaven then know for a fact that they are in Hell. Even so, we must recognize that Hell is real, it is a real possibility.
Baptism does not save
He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.
Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the body but as an appeal to God for a clear conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, ²² who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, with angels, authorities, and powers subject to him.
I have ZERO idea where some Protestants get this idea from. The idea that Baptism is not salvific is not at all Scriptural. This really ties into the "Sola Fide" bit of this post.
The Eucharist is merely symbolic
I am the bread of life. ⁴⁹ Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died. ⁵⁰ This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that a man may eat of it and not die. ⁵¹ I am the living bread^\)^c\) which came down from heaven; if any one eats of this bread, he will live for ever; and the bread which I shall give for the life of the world is my flesh.”
⁵² The Jews then disputed among themselves, saying, “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?”^\)^d\) ⁵³ So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you; ⁵⁴ he who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. ⁵⁵ For my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. ⁵⁶ He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him. ⁵⁷ As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so he who eats me will live because of me. ⁵⁸ This is the bread which came down from heaven, not such as the fathers ate and died; he who eats this bread will live for ever.” ⁵⁹ This he said in the synagogue, as he taught at Caper′na-um.
Jesus flat out says "This bread that I am talking about here is my flesh." So the disciples challenge Him saying "You mean this figuratively right?... RIGHT?
So Jesus responds repeating himself over and over in verses 53 through 58. How many times does Jesus need to say something for you to believe it? You will latch on to a singular verse that teaches something you agree with (or seems to) for dear life at the exclusion of literally any other verse on the topic, but something else is taught multiple times and you don't believe it? I am confused about how Protestants read the Bible. It does not seem to be in any kind of coherent exegesis.
You are allowed to get divorced and remarried... at all.
“Every one who divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery, and he who marries a woman divorced from her husband commits adultery.
But Jesus said to them, “For your hardness of heart he wrote you this commandment. ⁶ But from the beginning of creation, ‘God made them male and female.’ ⁷ ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife,^\)^a\) ⁸ and the two shall become one.’^\)^b\) So they are no longer two but one.^\)^c\) ⁹ What therefore God has joined together, let not man put asunder.”
He said to them, “For your hardness of heart Moses allowed you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so. ⁹ And I say to you: whoever divorces his wife, except for unchastity,^\)^c\) and marries another, commits adultery; and he who marries a divorced woman, commits adultery.”
A wife is bound to her husband as long as he lives. If the husband dies, she is free to be married to whom she wishes, only in the Lord.
Marriage is "until death do us part." The teachings on divorce from the Gospels is trying to set a trap for Jesus to see which rabbinical school he agrees with. Jesus comes out and says. "Neither." He says "Yeah. Moses allowed for divorce. But this is not how it was from the beginning. What about that "except for unchastity" phrase in Matthew (and only Matthew)?
There Matthew is talking about unions that God did not join together. He is talking about invalid marriages that his primarily Jewish readers would have been thinking about. The gentile converts to Christianity would not have thought about these weird situations, so this is excluded from the other gospels.
You can get re-baptized
There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call— one Lord, one faith, one baptism,
Some that want to say that you can get rebaptized jump to Acts 19. Reading this passage, it would seem that what is going on here is that the Baptism by John was not in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Paul is essentially saying that the "baptism" that they had received was not valid. He does not say that he "baptized them again into Christ." Rather it says that Paul "baptized them in the name Jesus Christ." As in they were not baptized into Christ, so Paul baptized them "for real this time."
You can only be cleansed from Original Sin once. After that, you can confess your sins and have them forgiven. Baptism is what makes into a child of God. That can only happen once. To do otherwise is a grave sin because you are saying that God was not powerful enough to save you the first time. Again, if a baptism is deemed to be invalid, this is a different story. This is why Paul asks "Into what were you baptized?"
The Church is simply the collection of believers
“If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother. ¹⁶ But if he does not listen, take one or two others along with you, that every word may be confirmed by the evidence of two or three witnesses. ¹⁷ If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector. ¹⁸ Truly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
Here it is clear that the "Church" is something more than a collection of believers. Jesus teaches here that first, you deal with disagreement 1 on 1. If that does not work, you go and get other believers to help show that they are wrong. If that does not work, then take to the Church. If even that does not work, they are to be treated as an unbeliever (excommunicated).
Certainly, all believers are a part of the Church - which is the body of Christ. The Church is not a parish or a singular building. The Church is universal, but there is a clear structure to it. There are priests, bishops, elders, etc. There is real authority in that structure. Many Protestant ideas sound nice, but I do not want to believe something merely because it sounds nice. Dessert for dinner sounds nice but it is not good for my body. Likewise, we should not judge something on "does it sound nice." We should judge something on whether it is good for our souls.
I look at many Protestant theological views and note how they seem to not be based in Scripture or based on a misunderstanding of Scripture. I would love to see if Protestants can properly answer these. Simply quoting verses that seem to back you up is not enough here. You need to show that these other verses are not problematic.
I do not only want to trust in Jesus, I want to trust that I am following everything that he taught. Jesus commanded the apostles to teach all that He has commanded, not just the important stuff. If you get the main stuff right but other things wrong, you still got it wrong. If a teacher gave a 10 question quiz and said, "You got questions 1, 2, 5, and 7 right, but everything else wrong. It is ok though those questions were the most important." I still get a failing grade. So, if you want me to convert to Protestantism you need to show that you actually follow all of Scripture, because I want to strive to get a 100% on the "test" of salvation. After all Jesus told us to "Be perfect as Your Heavenly Father is perfect" Not "Be kind of perfect as Your Heavenly Father is perfect."

林军： 你好！你和部分患者希望我从专业技术角度对未知病原体分离鉴定工作的具体内容提出建议。其实，未知病原体分离鉴定专业技术性很强，方法也是很多的。国内卫生部系统，农业部系统，中科院系统，以及重点大学的分子生物或微生物学国家重点实验室都可以开展这项工作。具体的方法学很复杂，要由主持工作的相关科研人员具体设计研究，我在这里不详细阐述了，只是从宏观的角度提出如下建议。 一、 病原体分离鉴定大方向
（一）反转录慢病毒 我认为“中国阴性感染者”是一种慢性感染性疾病。患者主诉很痛苦，多数患者外周器质性病变又不太明显，所以高度疑似是骨髓和中枢神经系统的慢性感染。在病原微生物谱系中，这类感染中枢骨髓系统的病原体多是反转录慢病毒。建议在慢病毒分离鉴定领域开展以下工作： 1、在患者人群中对人类已经发现并文献报道过的感染人类的反转录病毒进行排查：包括HTLV-1、HTLV-2、HTLV-3、HTLV-4、MPMV、MMTV、HRV-5、XMRV、HIAP-1、HIAP-2、SIV、SFV。
2、在患者人群中对可能感染人类的动物逆转录病毒进行排查，包括：VISNA、BLV、 FLV、MLV、CAE等进行筛查。
（二）支原体 支原体在病原微生物谱系中是介于细菌和病毒之间的微生物，属于柔膜体纲。这里提到的支原体不是医院医生普遍了解的肺炎支原体等常见支原体检测，而是未知支原体分离鉴定。支原体研究特别是艾滋病相关支原体研究是国际病原微生物研究的一个领域。在艾滋病相关支原体研究过程中，人类陆续发现了穿透支原体，发酵支原体、梨支原体等艾滋病相关支原体，并发现这类支原体与HIV病毒有协同致病作用。早在上世纪50-70年代，美国和西方国家就对感染人类、哺乳动物（猫、狗、马、牛、羊、猪等）和禽类（鸡、鸭、鸽子等）的支原体进行了细致的研究，并做出了明确的鉴定和分类规范。支原体所致疾病是很严重的，可以导致人类CD4免疫细胞急剧下降，CD4/CD8比例颠倒等临床指证，往往和艾滋病有相似的症候群，但又不是HIV感染，这从美国专利文献中就可以明显的看出（见本文附件英文部分）。我国近期出版的权威学术教材《支原体学》（人民卫生出版社，2008年1月版）中对国际学术界关于穿透支原体，发酵支原体、梨支原体与HIV病毒协同作用在艾滋病进展恶化中的机制研究动态进行了介绍，还明确指出了发酵支原体感染和慢性疲劳综合征（CFS）的关联性。国外部分网站的专业文献也揭示支原体感染，特别是发酵支原体感染与慢性疲劳综合征(ME/CFS)、海湾战争综合征（Gulf War Syndrome GWS）、不典型多发性硬化（Atypical MS）、阿尔海莫氏病（ALZHEIMER）、帕金森病（PARKINSON）等疾病的关系（见我博客摘录的英文学术论文http://blog.sina.com.cn/s/blog\_6d6f292f0100m1ld.html）。此外，我国学者也提出过支原体感染与反应性关节病（ReA）、系统性红斑狼疮（SLE）等慢性疾病具有关联性的学术观点。互联网上关于支原体与慢性疾病的中英文论文很多，只要敲击相关关键词，就可以检索到大量文章。国内有很多学者曾呼吁应加强支原体与慢性疾病发病机制的研究。综合国内外学术观点，支原体慢性感染与人类中枢神经系统慢性疾病、风湿免疫慢性疾病有着高度的相关性，所以建议对患者开展以下支原体感染排查：
1、在患者人群中对人类已经发现并文献报道过的感染人类的支原体进行排查：包括解脲脲原体、 人型支原体、生殖支原体、 穿透支原体、 发酵支原体、 梨支原体等。（重点是发酵支原体）
2、通过超高通量PCR等手段，类比哺乳动物、禽类支原体序列，开展患者感染未知支原体序列的测定排查。尽管支原体培养目前仍然是诊断支原体感染性疾病的“金标准”，但是支原体培养费时且敏感性差，需要复杂的营养成分，甚至有学者试图从PCR阳性标本重新培养支原体也未获成功。因此，基因诊断PCR试验的设计十分重要，这包括标本的收集和处理，PCR扩增区域的选择，引物的选择和扩增方案，假阳性和假阴性的识别等复杂的技术问题，需要支原体研究领域的资深专家主持工作，认真研究，科学严谨地设计实验方案。
（三）耐药结核杆菌 通过现代分子生物学技术，将特定质粒DNA导入，使细菌产生高度的耐药性是一项非常简单的操作。由于部分患者结核检查呈阳性，部分为强阳性结果，且部分患者主诉抗结核药物可以暂时缓解症状。因此建议开展结核领域的相关分离鉴定，耐药性分析等工作。但是鉴于患者的感染方式绝大多数为粘膜感染，而支原体的最大特点就是极易侵袭人类和动物的粘膜表面，且支原体和立克次体（无形体也是立克次体的一种）一样，具有军事医学上的用途，容易加工制备成为气溶胶进行扩散和布撒。所以我认为结核杆菌应该不是这类疾病的主要致病原因，而仅仅是一个继发感染。此外，抗结核药利福霉素对支原体也是有一定作用的，所以不应仅将注意力集中在结核杆菌上。
（四）特定蛋白质颗粒 “中国阴性感染者”和慢性疲劳综合征(ME/CFS)、神经肌痛性脑脊髓炎（Myalgic Encephalomyelitis）、纤维肌痛（Fibromyalgia）、海湾战争综合征（Gulf War Syndrome GWS）、不典型多发性硬化（Atypical MS）等这一大类疾病有一个共同特点就是疾病伴发明显的中枢心理症状。大多数患者主诉都十分痛苦，甚至想要自杀。很多患者都说“不得这种病，体会不到那种痛苦”。还有很多患者说“失去生活兴趣，脾气暴躁，对以往感兴趣的事情都全然不在乎”。敏锐的医生应该意识到，这个病应该高度怀疑和中枢神经系统有关联。因为只有中枢神经系统的痛苦才是最痛苦的，是很难用语言描述的，也是其他人体验不到的。就像你没有经历过触电，就永远感觉不到触电的痛苦；就像你没有吸过毒，就永远感觉不到吸毒的欣快和戒毒的痛苦一样。所以这种病的病原体很可能侵害中枢系统（脑白质）的某些特定功能区域。比如部分患者会出现听力问题，视力问题等等感官症状；部分患者表现出明显的焦虑和烦躁的心理症状；部分患者表现出逻辑思维和记忆障碍的认知症状。这些都提示病原体很可能持续损害中枢神经部分特定区域。这种中枢症候群可能是病原体直接寄生并损害中枢神经细胞所致，也可能是病原体基因序列表达特定有毒蛋白质所致，或者两种损害机制同时存在。2003年日本学者就发现过慢性疲劳综合征患者血液中一种特殊蛋白质ＣＨＲＭ１可以阻碍大脑和心脏等神经信息的传递，而在健康人的血液中没有发现，且这种蛋白质含量越高，慢性疲劳综合征越重(相关文献见互联网http://www.pharmnet.com.cn/yyzx/2003/08/07/121519.html)。此外，传染性朊蛋白颗粒Prion（普列昂）也可以导致类似的慢性中枢症状。因此建议在现有导致人类疾病的蛋白质中对患者血液中ＣＨＲＭ１蛋白和传染性朊蛋白颗粒进行检测。
（五）其他供参考的实验室检查 1、多数患者血清铁蛋白偏高，但是又不是太高，血清铁蛋白可能是一个具有统计学意义的指标。
2、国内有论文指出（论文见互联网http://www.51lunwen.com/clinical/2010/0729/lw201007291121494927.html），慢性疲劳综合征血清红细胞膜n-6系列必需脂肪酸含量与正常人有显著性差异，建议检测患者血清红细胞膜n-6系列必需脂肪酸含量，与正常人对照，为诊断疾病提供血清学上的线索。
二、国外文献致病假说介绍 国外的很多文献提示了一种观点。认为慢性疲劳综合征(ME/CFS)、神经肌痛性脑脊髓炎（Myalgic Encephalomyelitis）、纤维肌痛（Fibromyalgia）、海湾战争综合征（Gulf War Syndrome GWS）、不典型多发性硬化（Atypical MS）等这一大类疾病是以支原体为载体（支原体在分子生物试验中用途广泛，前不久国际新闻界炒得火热的人造生命事件，主持科研的美国科学怪才克雷格·文特尔John Craig Venter 就是利用山羊支原体作为人造生命的基本试验载体的，见互联网http://baike.baidu.com/view/1191813.html），在支原体基因序列中加入布鲁氏杆菌（或梅毒螺旋体等病原微生物）的基因序列和特定毒蛋白表达序列（毒蛋白序列主要来自羊Scrapie病和人类库鲁病，都是脑组织进行性退化慢性疾病），利用支原体具有在细胞内长期潜伏寄生，且难于培养鉴定发现的特点，隐秘的、持续的损害人体多个组织器官，特别是脑组织，导致患者慢性进行性疾病，并通过这一手段，不断开发并扩散出包括重度焦虑抑郁症、慢性疲劳综合征、多发性硬化、海湾战争综合征，甚至艾滋病在内的各类慢性疾病的惊人观点。其核心就是为了销售制药大公司的各类药品而盈利。这些书籍和论文从疾病暴发流行特点，人为改造病原体技术可行性（尤其是70年代人类发明了DNA重组技术），污染疫苗注射、试验人群选择（多选择有特殊行为生活方式的人群，如同性恋、嬉皮士人群等），资金来源等多方面系统的进行了阐述，并有大量基础数据支撑。在欧美西方国家支持这种观点的重量级人物很多，但由于不是主流声音，一直以来没有被我国医学界所了解和重视。例如：美国哈佛大学教授，美国科学院医学部成员，《新英格兰医学杂志》前主编（该知名国际医学杂志的第一位女主编）玛西亚·安吉尔（Marcia Angell），曾经说过这样的话，“ 大型医药公司一方面减少抗疾病新药的研发，一方面推动疾病的发生，以便更多地销售他们的药物”。并写作出版了一部名为《制药公司的真相，他们如何欺骗我们，我们如何反抗》（The Truth About the Drug Companies: How They Deceive Us and What to Do About）的书。此外，现任美国总统奥巴马的精神导师赖特（Jeremiah Wright），以及2004年度诺贝尔和平奖得主，肯尼亚环境保护活动家旺加里·马塔伊等重量级人物也是这一观点的强力支持和宣传者。
我本人不是一个阴谋论的信奉者，但中国有一句俗语叫“无风不起浪”。我认为那么多国外高级知识分子，政界要员都支持的一种观点，虽然不是主流，也一定会有其合理成分。我国医疗界知识分子应该对这种观点有所了解，有所研究，这才是对中华民族负责的知识分子治学态度。记得慢性疲劳综合征发现早期就是被医疗界诊断为心理问题；海湾战争综合征发现早期也是被医疗界诊断为心理问题，但是时间和事实都证明，当时的诊断错了。前不久，美国总统奥巴马和国务卿希拉里也为在危地马拉进行的梅毒、淋病人体试验公开道歉了（互联网http://baike.baidu.com/view/4452598.htm），但是多少人已经为这些错误承担了无尽的痛苦和折磨，这是无法挽回的悲剧呀！今天，同样“中国阴性感染者”也被我国一些知名专家认为是心理问题。其实广泛收集一下国内外医学相关资料，深入细致地进行分析，尽快启动病原体分离鉴定实质性工作，在具有高通量PCR技术等先进分子生物学手段的今天，病原体是不难发现的，关键是中国医务人员的独立的、创新的科研意识和对人民群众健康的责任意识。
三、国内专家和相关单位资源 我从互联网上检索到国内的一些相关专家，我认为这些专家在卫生部的牵头下尽快参与到这项工作中来会有力的推动工作的开展。
（一）反转录慢病毒分离鉴定领域专家 舒跃龙 研究员卫生部中国疾病预防控制中心病毒病研究所副所长、国家流感中心主任；
陈化兰 研究员 中国农科院哈尔滨兽医研究所国家禽流感参考实验室暨农业部动物流感重点开放实验室主任；
王汉中 研究员 中科院武汉病毒所国家病毒学重点实验室人畜共患病毒病学科组组长。
（二）支原体研究领域专家（目前国内支原体研究相对滞后，急需加强研究）
吴移谋 教授 华南大学医学院《支原体学》（人民卫生出版社，2008年1月版）主编，国内支原体、立克次体、螺旋体研究领域专家；
赵季文 教授 东南大学公共卫生学院 《支原体学》（人民卫生出版社，2008年1月版）名誉主编；
王蓓 教授 东南大学公共卫生学院。 （三）朊蛋白研究领域相关单位 中国疾病预防控制中心病毒病预防控制所传染病预防控制国家重点实验室 中国农业科学院兰州兽医研究所,家畜疫病病原生物学国家重点实验室,农业部畜禽病毒学重点开放实验室,农业部兽医公共卫生重点开放实验室； （四）新药研发设计领域专家（病原体分离鉴定后，新药研发必须尽快跟进） 彭师奇教授 原北京大学医学部药学院院长，现首都医科大学药学院院长，国家新药审评委员、国家自然科学基金委化学科学部有机化学学科评审专家、中国药学会药化专业委员会副主任委员。国内化学药物研发设计领域专家。 （五）临床治疗领域专家 本人认为在病原体分离鉴定之前，临床医生由于缺乏必要的手段，发挥的诊断治疗作用是有限的。

I (M17) was VERY straightforward and honest a few years ago and I would have told people how exactly I feel about them, however, I have learnt (for better or for worse) about how if I was too honest and straightforward I would make some enemies and I don't want to seem dumb, arrogant or arrogant. I don't want to make enemies as I wish to be a leader for either my class or one of the clubs I am in. I really want to be my true self no matter how rude I come across, simultaneously, I want to not make enemies. These seem to be contrasting and I feel like I may come across as a soulless husk of a person because I feel like I am losing myself, except for the few instances where my true, excited and loving self comes out in moments of passion. I just feel like if I was myself, I would be judged, and I have learnt to fear the knife of judgment from many instances in my life so far from my fierce parents or people who rejected my true self and pretty much hate me for it. If I were to be my TRUE self and be less calculating of people before allowing them to see bits of my true self, I feel like I would be a lot more happy. I feel very conflicted and don't know what to do, it's almost like I view myself in third-person, like I am literally controlling a character even as I am typing this post out... It might just be the knowledge I've gained of life so far, as they say, ignorance is bliss... I'm not depressed but I'm not happy either, it's a weird feeling that I've felt for the past 4 years and I want something to change, I want something to invigorate that fire in me again... I only have one or two close friends who I can show my whole self to without consequence as I know they are loyal to me. There are times in public when I am out with these friends and they say offensive things that I find funny and I act like what they said is wrong, even though I find it funny and laugh with them about it in private... I hated fake people when I was younger and I feel like I am becoming a "fake person" as years go by due to my knowledge of how evil some people are. It's almost a barrier and protection for myself in a way.
