Hello fellow funeral directors. I'm wondering if anyone here can shed some light on the topic of name plates on urns. What have you had success with? Do you create the labels/plaques in-house? Or do you outsource it? Fiber laser engravers are starting out at $5k - 6k on Amazon and that price point is pretty steep for a piece of equipment you only use a handful of times weekly. Any advice would be highly appreciated.

I would like to buy an Olight ODIN mini (preferably in desert tan), willing to spend up to $90 depending on condition. Also would not mind a surefire product, but it has to match the Olight odin price at brand new which is $190.

Looking at getting plantation shutters for long (3.5m) west facing window in the kitchen - mainly for light / heat blocking purposes. Shutters will be white.
Have been quoted for a couple of different options - Polyresin from Luxaflex (unpainted) which is being sold as an option that won’t warp/flake/peel in the sunlight or moisture, or 4 x painted ABS from Norman, which is about 30% cheaper option.
Happy with either of the prices, but not sure how much of an issue the direct sunlight would be on the painted option for wear and tear over time? Anyone have any insight into whether the polyresin option would be worth the extra expense? TIA!

This is going to be dramatic but I feel for many, this boycott is like a relationship gone bad lol . Like someone cheated on you and you forgave them. And then all of a sudden you see more red flags and you're finally realizing you gotta dump them.
I'm sure we all feel hurt by Loblaws and related stores in someway. They were always so reliable for me and i loved the optimum points and pc brand stuff. A part of me is wishing the boycott works to set these fuckers back to real competitive prices, so i can go back. and I'm sure i'm not the only one. However, we have to be honest with ourselves that this relationship and the perks they have for us aren't worth it or were never really worth and let go of them.
There's plenty of other fish in the sea! Warmer season means farmers markets! Tme for Hot girl/boy summer time! For those that see the light and have gone on to greener pastures, great for you! Gonna go settle up a $100 worth of optimum points on a 100 cans of tuna now.

As title says I am looking for a flashlight that has the capability of flood light and throw light together. I know I can buy separate but would rather have a single flashlight. I have a Sofirn Sp36 pro and love the flood of that so would like something similar. Currently looking at Olight Marauder Mini and Terminator M1 any other suggestions? Thanks in advance

It was a great flashlight (penlight) intended for 1X visual weld inspections. It ran off a single AAA battery and produced a very defined illuminated area - the edges of the light projected onto components was sharp. I can’t find replacements off eBay or anywhere else without a business card.
The Coast A15 thick boi I have is a great all-purpose device that eats AAA batteries for a living, but I can use it for inspections on low setting. It’s simply too large and silly to carry on the regular.
I read about the Coast A9R, but I’m wary of rechargeable devices. At a reasonable price (contrasted to modern phones) there’s a reason to doubt the longevity of said flashlight that I may use up to an hour at a time (for a single inspection) multiple times a day.
I saw a Killjoy penlight that was almost a spitting image, but it’s offered on third party websites only.

Description: PLEASE BE THOROUGH. EXPLICITLY STATE ALL ISSUES : V3 Lamia with Cruwear blade steel with what I've seen called a "fruit stripe" milling pattern. Few light snail trails on the scales themselves, but the milling pattern conceals them well. Pocket clip is stonewashed and looks to be in good condition. Good lockup and centering on the blade itself. PO sharpened this on a KME, the bevel is fat towards the tip in comparison to the rest of the edge, but it does feel quite sharp. Comes with case, stickers, and washers.

First I want to note, I have 20 years of experience working as a line cook, Server and/or manager in several different restaurants of differing styles. From A&W to Ghost kitchens, food trucks and several higher end places. I definitely don't know everything, But I know a lot and have seen pricing and product from nearly all levels of the industry.
I've seen a lot of people complaining about the prices of Five guys, how expensive it's gotten compared to other Similar restaurants. one comparison I've seen thrown around a lot is comparing the cost of a meal at five guys to the cost of a meal at McDonalds. After all, Five guys is a fast food chain, of course you would compare it to other fast food chains. And therein lies the problem. Five guys Is a fast food chain, but what they sell, is Barely fast food.
If I get a meal at McDonalds it runs me ~12-15 bucks depending on what I get. For that, I will get a cup of soda, A relatively bland generic Burger made with frozen patties, extremely basic toppings and an order of fries that are... Frankly lower quality than most of what you can buy in the frozen foods section of a Walmart.
If I go to Boston pizza, A fairly well known sports bar and grill, full Dine in experience I will pay 25+ dollars for a burger with fries and a drink, plus tip. The patties? Are still frozen, and honestly nothing special, The fries? About on par with a Bag of McCain fries. You know, the 'nice' store bought fries. The toppings? Slightly more variety and interesting choices but again, all of it comes in a bag frozen or pre-cooked. I know this, I worked at one for 6 years. The only thing they actually make in house there is the Pizza Dough.
I can also tell you that most other restaurants fall into one of those two categories. If it's a chain, the product is frozen, and generic, heck most of the restaurants in your area likely all use the same fries from the same supplier. Almost every restaurant in my city gets their food from GFS and I have seen the same identical cases of fries at at least 3 locations. The singular exception I can think of off hand being perhaps Wendys and Their food is still pretty generic and comes pre-made, Just fresher. Those Square patties? Are factory formed for efficiencies sake. and I can guarantee you that they pre-cook them and hold them in a food warmer.
Enter Five guys. Fresh meat, Hand formed patties made in house daily Cooked on the grill to order, you can watch them do it. Fresh locally bought potatoes Hand cut in house every morning. Cooked in a more expensive peanut oil For better flavor as opposed to the generic Canola oil most restaurants use. The topping list? not only is there no upcharge for any of them (My local McDonalds charges 30 cents for extra Lettuce) They include Grilled mushrooms and onions, Again, cooked in house, Jalapenos, green peppers And several sauce options you won't find in most fast food places. and the portions both of the fries and the burgers are frankly huge compared to most places of any caliber.
The issue is that while Five guys is a fast food place and is branded as a Fast food place, they don't really sell fast food. They sell A product that is higher quality than most family sit down restaurants and even fancier places. What they sell is the closest thing you can get to a Gourmet burger and fries, and they just provide it in a fast food setting. The problem isn't that they are charging too much for what they sell, Their pricing is actually lower than a lot of places that have much lower or similar quality products, like the keg where just the burger with fries and bacon is 25 bucks before the drink and tip and tax. (for the record I'm not claiming The Keg is low quality just that their burger specifically is nothing particularly special for how much it costs.) The issue is that people are comparing Five guys to McDonalds only on the basis of it being a fast food joint but When accounting for quality Mcdonalds isn't even playing the same sport let alone in the same league. Neither is A&W, Wendy's, Burger king, or even Harveys.
TL;DR: Five guys prices are only bad if you compare them to other fast food places but when you compare them to other "Dine in" businesses that sell products of similar or even significantly worse quality Their prices are comparable and in many cases better. Is five guys expensive? yes, but only because you're paying for fresh, hand made high quality ingredients cooked to order. If it was branded as a "Gourmet burger joint" instead of a fast food place people wouldn't even bat an eye.

Hello all! I’m 18F, with 2c-3a/b and virgin blonde hair (it’s decently light but def not anywhere near platinum lol). Right now it’s waist length and also prob low porosity or has crazy buildup cuz I use products but haven’t found a clarifying shampoo yet. I’d like it to be about collarbone length or slightly longer, possibly with curtain and/or wispy bangs, and pink highlights (think Barbie’s hair in A Mermaid Tale). I haven’t gotten it cut in almost two years so I’m not sure what a realistic pricing would be but maybe somewhere below $200? Please let me know if that’s unrealistically low in general as well. I’m also open to getting it cut at one place and then dyed at another, and hope to get it done before I leave for college in the fall. Any recommendations for a hair dressesalon?
