2024.05.16 05:12 ThreeDotsTogether What powers would you give Summer, Flamingo, and La Mer?

In Tropical Rouge Precure, I thought it was a little weird how they went through the effort of giving Coral and Papaya unique powers, but just skipped out on Flamingo. I could sort of understand not giving Summer any, she's the basic main character, I guess she's special enough, but not even the super special midseason Cure La Mer?
Anyway, what if they did get powers? Summer included, just for fun.
I'd probably give Summer super speed and agility, since she's so energetic and jumpy.
Flamingo would get the power to never lose balance or be knocked over, in reference to how flamingos are always on one leg
La Mer would get water manipulation. It's a power often attributed to mermaids, and her name means "the sea". She'd be able to do stuff like summon water to slip up enemies, knock them over with waves, shoot small geysers, even do stuff like create whirlpools on land.
It was kinda hard to think of those powers, especially for Flamingo. What's your ideas?

2024.05.16 05:08 Edward_658 TIFU by buying concert tickets myself instead of letting my mom do it

I would like to start off by saying yes, I am aware I am an idiot a lot of the time, but this has to be one of the stupidest things I've done. Recently, Childish Gambino released his new album, and with it, he released his upcoming world tour. Me (17M) and my (17F) girlfriend love Childish Gambino, so we were both super excited about this upcoming news. However, reality set in that we both don't really have the money for it, so we were a bit disappointed, or at least I pretended to be. Little did she know I have a secret money stash, specifically made for moments like these when one of my favorite artists may make a surprise visit to my city. So I signed up for the presale and listened to his music to improve my chances, and the night before the presale went live, I was able to get the link. This was great. I had roughly 300 dollars that I could use to get both of us some seats. The problem was that the presale went live during one of my classes. My school is pretty strict when it comes to phone use, so I was risking getting into some big shit at the school if I got caught, especially because I am very active in the school and am well known by staff on a first name basis.
To get around getting in trouble in school, I told my mom that it was saved on her computer with the link and password to the website so she would be able to get in and buy them for me in case I couldn't during class. GREAT, all set and done, ready to rock and roll. BTW, Childish Gambino I love you, but respectfully, WHY MAKE PRESALE ON A RANDOM WENSDAY AT 12 PM? Anyways, I got to school and did my normal school day stuff. When 11:55 rolled around, I went to the website on my computer and logged in. In the moment, I realized I could email my mom instead of texting her. So I used that to ask if she also got in and give me a heads-up about how much the tickets were. She was slow at responding, which is understandable given the circumstances. She let me know she was able to grab two tickets for $295, and she was about to pay but I told her I just got in, so I'd do it.
I got in and realized I had a timer on my screen. They were hurrying me to make a selection. I clicked and clicked and sanged the tickets for 99 bucks each, not bad. It was after I paid that my girl friend asked me what was wrong, as she saw the sheer look of horror on my face.
She looked at my screen, which I had kind of hidden from her, but she was able to take a peek while I was in this dark space. I had bought tickets to OAKLAHOMA.
My dear redditors, just to let you know, I DO NOT LIVE ANYWHERE NEAR FUCKING OAKLAHOMA.
So my girlfriend sees this, and she's stunned because she realized this was supposed to be her present because the concert is like 2 days later, but she also sees I bought the wrong tickets, so she isn't mad at me, but she's sad because: 1. I bought the wrong tickets, wasting money; 2. she messed up her birthday gift; 3. she saw I was sad and empathized with me. I definitely thought I should have just let my mom buy the tickets instead of wanting to pick them out and get them myself. So yeah, I just wasted 255 bucks. I'm trying to resell them and only lose 75, but still.
TL;DR: I wanted presale tickets for childish gambino of my girlfriend's birthday, and I bought tickets for the wrong music venue running her birthday present and me for the whole 255 bucks.

2024.05.16 05:07 Outrageous-Problem-5 My cat peed in my sisters suitcase

So I have a male cat named Apollo, he has only ever Peed outside of his litter box one time, and it was partly my fault as there was no litter left in his litter box.
Anyways, my sister is home from school for the summer and has been sleeping in the extra room which in Apollo’s head it’s his room. He hangs in that room all day in his cat tree and his litter box is just outside that room.
I’m wondering with my sister moving into “his room” he has become territorial. She’s been there for a week and everything has been fine. Did not seem to bother him at all. Tonight he decided to pee in her suitcase while she was packing some clothes. WTF?
How do I prevent this from happening in the future and how do I make Apollo understand that he has to share that room for the summer…
Side note how do I get cat pee out of a suitcase and clothes… 🙃

2024.05.16 05:02 slugma123 39 [M4F] Portugal/Online - Are you tired of ordinary run-of-the-mill men? Sex chats? Snoozefests of words? Being asked for endless photos time and again? Stop. You deserve better. For once, you can meet a truly cultured man with whom to have amazing dialogues about pretty much anything.

Hello, whoever you are on your side of this screen.
Predictability and ordinarity bores me. The idea of casual sex makes me more asleep than a Snorlax. I also don't want to be asked "How are you?" for the millionth time. And photos - well, one is always more than enough.
I'm sure I'm not everyone's cup of tea, but I don't seek anything ordinary, either. I'm just an author and researcher currently living in Portugal, and looking for someone new and truly unique to inspire me. We can talk about pretty much anything, plus you can learn a ton of super unusual but cool stuff if you're also into culture, literature, legends, stories, etc. What else can I tell you about me? Well, I'm often told I'm the most interesting person people have ever met, but let's go here for ten groups of facts about me and my life:
1- I've travelled to over 100 countries in search of knowledge, my favourite place being the streams of water and forests in the north of the Pyrenées, where I once placed my feet in the water and meditated for days.
2- I do not have a favourite book, but I do feel many marked my life. For example, Ovid's "Ars Amatoria" (as a teen), Cicero's "De Senectute" (as an adult), the "Ramayana" (as someone eager to explore other cultures), the "Nag Hammadi Library" (as a person deeply interested in lost religious texts), etc.
3- I once met a really amazing woman, we were together for 10+ years, we never married but we both knew neither of us was going anywhere else, I lost her in 2014 (and I don't want to talk about it), and I'm perfectly comfortable being single.
4- I've published over 80 books, between my real name and various pseudonyms, with the most sold having been top 100 on Amazon, and the least sold still stuck at under 10 copies (and it's intentionally supposed to sell very little).
5- In college I studied Computer Science, Psychology, French "LLCs" and Classical + Medieval Studies, but among my many passions you can also count Theology, Philosophy, Art, Mythology, Classical Music, Western Mysticism, Languages, etc.
6- I dislike social media and photos of people. I hardly ever take photos of myself or others, but I do have an enormous collection of photos I've taken around the globe, where I mostly tried to eternalize places and moments.
7- Apart from writing, I spend most of my free time as a volunteer for projects related to Culture, Children, and Mental Welfare. I also tend to donate to charity on a monthly basis, because I feel we should try to spread to others the good things we have in our lives.
8- Although I'm 39, I'm perfectly okay talking to much younger, or much older, people, because I feel they can also teach me a lot of things that I'm not necessarily familiarized with. And, in fact, one of my biggest pleasures in "real" life is talking to random people and learning new stuff from them.
9- I survived cancer and meningitis. I'm 99% okay, with the exception of a small physical problem most people never even notice.
10- I was recently "rejected" from a buddhist monastery for health reasons, since it seems my constant need for medication for an auto-immune disease would contrast with the simple life their monks need to have. So, yeah, that's mostly why I'm back online and posting this message.
So... if you are indeed tired of the usual messages and conversations, write me. Maybe you are indeed what I seek.

2024.05.16 05:02 Silent-Detail4419 If you knew your adult child was being abused, you'd help them - wouldn't you...? Especially when you know that child is a DV survivor with PTSD

If you knew your adult child was being abused, you'd help them - wouldn't you...? Especially when you know that child is a DV survivor with PTSD
If you answered "yes" you're better than my parents. I don't know where to go for help anymore. Yesterday was my birthday and, no, I'm hardly in the first flush of youth anymore, but I'm not quite middle aged either. But why should my age matter when I am a human being, I am suffering and I need help...?
Please forgive me if this is muddled, I'm so weak from malnutrition now I can't think straight.
I have sent my parents - more accurately, my mother - several emails documenting the abuse I'm being subjected to in a 'supported' flat in Bristol. She hasn't responded to a single one.
I don't know why I was put here, I was never assessed under ether the Care Act nor the MCA. Most of the abuse is food-related; I have been informed that I am NOT ALLOWED to buy my own food, the only food I have is what staff deign to give me; I'm given one or two (rarely three) 'meals' a day, usually consisting of cheap deli meat dumped on a 20cm (~8") side plate, like this:
Standard plate size
This is what I was given for 'dinner' yesterday evening:
'Dinner' 15/05/2024
That was all I was given yesterday. That's pretty much the standard - open a packet, dump it on a plate. Sometimes they take what they'd put on a small plate and put it on a standard dinner plate spread out, to make it look more (they must think I'm fucking stupid). Sometimes I get cooked stuff, but it usually ends up in the bin because they can't cook; steak, bacon and mince are cremated, pork, chips and chicken almost raw. I have photos of every single 'meal' I've been given in an album on my iPad.
I'm so malnourished now that eating often causes me severe abdominal pain.
I've been here since November last year and I am now suffering from severe malnutrition.
I am now so malnourished I am struggling to breathe.
I am now so malnourished I have chest pain
I am now so malnourished I have abdominal pain (my abdomen is severely swollen and bloated)
I am now so malnourished I have global neuropathy and parasthesia
I am now so malnourished I am incontinent
I am now so malnourished I have poor bowel motility
I am now so malnourished I have severe vertigo (I have this constant feeling I’m going to just literally drop dead)
I am now so malnourished I am losing my sight
I am now so malnourished I struggle to speak
I am now so malnourished I struggle to stand
I am now so malnourished I struggle to remain awake
I am now so malnourished I have severe muscle weakness and pain
I am now so malnourished I am struggling with thermoregulation
I am now so malnourished I have severe brain fog
I am now so malnourished I am losing my hair, toe-and-fingernails
I am now so malnourished I am underweight (I don't know this for certain, of course, but a size 4 is now MASSIVE)
It also appears to have increased the severity of my tinnitus and hyperacusis (pathological hypersensitivity to noise).
They constantly creep around outside the flat front door and the creaking of the floorboards does my head it; it's almost 24/7, they don't stop at night - I constantly think someone's going to barge in.
Even on the nights when they’re not keeping me awake I’m too terrified to sleep in case I don’t wake up again.
They claim they “care” about me, but the Care Act only seems to apply when it suits them - it certainly doesn’t apply when it comes to food. How can you give anyone ‘meals’ like these in good conscience…?! How is this anything other than nutritional neglect…?!
Due to the Mental Capacity Act, I have no voice, nobody has to listen to me, and nobody is taking this seriously (adult safeguarding in both Bucks and Bristol refuse to believe that I’m being abused and neglected). My advocate won’t treat this as a life-threatening emergency situation and she’s “taking legal advice” (not heard from her for weeks). I spent a very long time compiling a report in Pages which I converted to a PDF and sent to her, she doesn’t even appear to have read it.
There's a 100dB alarm attached to the flat front door:
The door alarm and its sensor
I have removed several of these (they're cheap Chinese tat, you can get a pack of 10 for around £12-£14).
I don’t feel safe, there is ZERO respect for my human rights; there’s a lock on the flat door but, if I lock it, they just break in. If I tell them I don’t like them doing something (like creeping around outside the flat because the creaking of the floorboards doesn’t make me feel safe because I constantly think someone’s about to barge in - or to not give me chips (because they’re always undercooked; or mince, bacon and steak (because it’s always cremated)) they just ignore me, there’s no respect for my needs, wishes or feelings AT ALL!
I have been severely assaulted by staff many times; they will barge into the bedroom (often at least 4 or more) and if I attempt to stop them (they start searching the room, I have no idea what they’re looking for).
The other evening, around 20:00, 6 staff burst into the bedroom in full ‘riot gear’ (face masks, face shields, aprons and gloves), as you’d imagine I was TERRIFIED (I’d got my headphones on, so I didn’t hear them enter the flat).
Two of them grabbed me; I went into ‘auto-defence mode’ and tried to get them off me. I was pushed against the wall so violently I bashed my head; one of them grabbed my hair and squashed my face into the wall, with his full weight on the small of my back so I couldn’t breathe. The other twisted my arms behind my back, while the other four searched the room, like police on a drugs bust. I have no idea what they were looking for. When the other four had left, the two who were holding me threw me with full force onto the floor and I whacked my head against the bedside table.
This isn’t the first time I’ve been assaulted by staff, either (nor the second or the third…); I have been dragged into the living room and held on the floor, prone, with one or two of them sitting on my back so I’m unable lift my head.
We don’t like having to do this, but you bring it on yourself; if you did exactly as you are being told, then we’d have no reason to hurt you…”
Everything is arranged to protect staff from me - there’s NOTHING to protect ME from staff. What threat am I…?! I’m severely malnourished and severely underweight. They KNOW I have PTSD (because I have told them many times) - if someone suddenly bursts into what’s supposed to be your home - what’s your reaction going to be…? Especially if you’re living with severe trauma.
Basically, they seem to think they can get away with the abuse because they can just claim they were “acting in self-defence” (which is laughable because I am severely weak and about 7 stone (44kg)).
I now feel old - older than I actually am - and I don’t think that I’m EVER going to have any semblance of a meaningful existence, I may as well be dead. I’m mainlining Kratom (in a vain attempt to deal with the pain (both physical and mental).
They have taken my phone, and damaged my iPad and MacBook Pro. I don’t have any access to medical care because I have been informed by staff that I wouldn’t be allowed to see a GP or paramedic in private. Staff gaslight me constantly and, due to the MCA, I’m essentially gagged, NOBODY is listening to me.
There’s been ZERO consideration given to my physical, mental and emotional health and wellbeing, there’s ZERO empathy, everything is out of my control and I have been put in a situation where I am being so severely abused that I fear for my life.
I honestly think that nobody will believe how grave this situation is until I’m brought out of here in a body bag.
At no point was I ever assessed; at no point was I ever asked what help and support I thought I needed (NONE). All this has happened on assumption, on what is known in social psychology as fundamental attribution error (FAE). Fundamental attribution error is a cognitive bias where observers underemphasise situational and environmental factors for someone’s behaviour while overemphasising dispositional or personality factors. I have ended up in a - very literally - life-threatening situation, because the assumptions have been made that I CANNOT look after myself because I don’t know how to, rather than I can’t because I am suffering from severe trauma.
I need very, VERY, urgent help. Where can I go…? Is there anyone here who can help me access help, because I don't think I'm being listened to due to the MCA/DoLS.
I’ve basically been locked away, stripped of my human rights, abandoned and left to die
(This has been cobbled together from stuff I'd already had written in Notes, so I apologise if it doesn't make sense, but my brain isn't working).
Is there anyone here with any knowledge and/or experience of this kind of situation..? Neither my social worker, nor my solicitor will listen to me, they'll only take instruction from the Court of Protection (the ironically named CoP, I don't feel protected, quite the opposite).
I don't mind DMs, but PLEASE only DM if you can offer me some kind of help/support (or know where I can go). This is basically nothing more than legal, state-sanctioned domestic abuse.
Finally, if there's a bettemore appropriate sub than here, I can post to, let me know that too...
Thank you
SJ

2024.05.16 05:02 Okokokokok176 AITAH for quitting my job of two years because I suspect my boss is a pedo.

I 17f have been working at a company for over 2 years. Recently I have been really busy and I have a lot of stuff going on in my life. From high school graduation to injuries to sickness, you name it, it happened this past month. Some context: I am on antidepressants that make my immune system a little bit weaker than normal so I’m more prone to sicknesses and the only reason I stay on it is because it works like a charm my grandmother who is my legal guardian has been extremely busy for the past year because we adopted two little girls, her step-grandchildren. one of whom had gotten sexually assaulted. So she’s busy with court and therapy and everything for them. I lived with my grandmother and grandfather since I was 2 months old, all the way up until June of last year. this has been extremely hard on me as I have nowhere to direct my anger. I don’t wanna sound like a stuck up little brat, but I’ve always been an only child. This happened out of nowhere, and we was also told that they would only be there for five months max, it’s been over two years. I cannot direct my anger at those little girls because I’m not that kind of person and it is NOT their fault that they got sexually assaulted, I also cannot direct my anger at my grandmother or grandfather bc They were just trying to do a good thing and help these girls. However, I no longer get to go out on Saturday girls dates with my grandmother and my my grandfather never gets to take me fishing anymore. They are old and they will not be here much longer, I would love to spend my time with them, but I can’t because they are so busy. They didn’t even come to my senior prom Pictures.. i’ve been struggling on where to put my anger. Which has left me tremendously depressed and always angry and anxious. So excuse me if I don’t wanna work my shift a day. because I have no motivation. I literally feel like I lost my family. They were like my mother and father and it’s almost like they are just gone. Out of nowhere. As I mentioned, I’m also a senior in high school so I’m dealing with things from class night, senior sunrise, class night practice, graduation practice, baccalaureate, graduation, prom, and my birthday is May 27 but we are doing me a combined graduation party and birthday party on the 25th. I’m a busy girl these days. My grandmother as I mentioned is always busy so I don’t direct my anger towards her at all and I don’t want to sound like I’m being mean but I told her in December 2023 that my Therapy Place had appointments for me, one of which was my one year therapy assessment, my one year medicine assessment, and a nursing assessment, all of my Therapy Place would not let me schedule as I’m not 18 yet. I don’t know if she simply just forgot or just didn’t care, however I have slowly been running out of medicine and I am now taking 25 mg of a medicine that I’m supposed to be taking 150 mg of. This is the same medicine that causes me to be sick occasionally. it really happens whenever I take one and then forget to take one the next day so this drastic change of 150mg to 25mg in the span of 2 months has not been ideal. It’s making me sick and angry and sad and crazy. All of this has also been causing a lot of issues in my relationship with my boyfriend 18m. We’re arguing all the time and it’s not helping anything. So I have a lot going on. And yes, I have been calling out a lot, however, everything with graduation I told my ex boss about a MONTH ago. This is not new information. Out of NOWHERE he scheduled me to work around 40 hours (my normal hours are about 15-20 a week as I’m working on school and applying to colleges and focused on graduation ) However, today he feels the need to call me and explain to me in passive aggressive words how I am making his and everyone else’s life harder and saying a few other things which all equaled up to “your a big inconvenience for everyone” This alone really hurt as my boss and I always got along ok. He knew what I was going through but assumed I was a liar despite me being a manager for 2 years now and still felt the need to call me and tell me how much of a problem I am. I was honestly going to let this slide and work my last shift and then tell him not to put me on the schedule anymore. But this is when I called my best friend for advice! Then she proceeds to tell me, my boss and another female coworker were stalking my social media accounts to see if I was really hurt. ( I had an ankle injury caused by tripping over my dress walking out of prom.) And I’m not going to lie to you. I really really really hurt my ankle. I was wearing a boot. I have been cooped up in the house for about a week and a half and I was sick and tired of it. My sister and her boyfriend and my boyfriend were all over and we decided we want to go to topgolf. I figured I had rested enough and I was really eager to get out of the house. I got all dressed up and was wearing my boot as we went into Topgolf! Only to find out that we had to be 21 or older to go past the certain time. We tried to get our older siblings to come, but they were busy! I had gotten all dressed up for the first time in a while and I wanted to take some Instagram pictures. That way it didn’t feel like I got dressed up for nothing. I took my boot off and slipped a regular shoe on as I didn’t want to wear a big ass boot in my instagram photos. The girls that get it get it! In all of these pictures, I either have my hurt foot up off of the ground or I am holding it up equal to my knee. Because as I said it really hurt. So I posted my pictures and all was fine. I also made a few tick-tock‘s. Well apparently both of these actions were illegal. As my boss and his suck up of a coworker felt the need to stalk my social media to see if I was lying I guess. You can check the images yourself on instagram at @molleigh_1 After I found this out, I texted my boss as follows:
Ok, I was gonna let the whole “ passive aggressively calling me an inconvenience” thing slide, however i just don’t understand why you and Alana feel the need to search up my social media accounts and see what I’m doing but if you must know my instagram pictures were taken while my boot was off because I didn’t want to wear a big boot in my pictures. My boot was still in the car. If you look closely in the pictures you can see that I am leaning my weight on my good foot and have my bad foot either up in the air or I am not fully stepping on it. I also didn’t know it was illegal to post videos of myself on tiktok when I’m sick, that’s New info to me. I also just talked to my best friend who did not know about my foot injury, just told her about it. You can come ask my entire family if you’d like. They have seen me walking around the house in a boot. It’s not fair to assume I’m a liar as you weren’t there. You can’t tell if I’m in pain from a picture or video. it’s weird that you guys are looking up my accounts. That’s honestly creepy. Now that my parents and I know this creepy, unsettling information I will not be working that last shift, (I’m not allowed) you all can go stalk other people! If you feel the need to reply or have anything to say, you can contact (My dads number) Have the day you deserve, and goodbye.
Here’s the reasoning behind why he’s a pedo: - 40 yr old man who only hires teen girls. -Would always show up 5 mins after my shift started claiming he had work to do but then would sit in the office with me just to try and chat. - anytime he would arrive I would simply move my things out of the office and set out by the serving area to which he would say “ I didn’t kick you out you can come sit back here with me” - gave me sexual looks more than one time. - places security cameras in odd places such as facing the backs of his workers so he can look at their asses I’m guessing ( it’s not just one camera it’s all of them) - there’s been claims of him sexually assaulting his workers in the past (just found this out) -multiple workers have quit because they felt uncomfortable around him.
Am I the a hole? Did I do the right thing? Am I just being dramatic and overcomplicating this? Help!

2024.05.16 04:57 countrythangs Dog hit by texting driver

Lets see if this post belongs here?
We live in residential area at the neck of a cricle of a sibdivision, cars general speed past even though theres alot of children about during the day. Anyway. Ok our dog who "never" goes out the front of the house. Snuck out with me when I took the garbage out about 9pm (was dark). I thought he went down a cpl houses, you can't really see as there's not a street light down there.
The kids were walking down to get him, calling his name a car turned down the road, as the dog was crossing the kids could see him in her headlights.. well he didn't make it, she didn't slow down at all i was behind them all i heard was what i thought the dog splattering in the road.
Well she was going so fast he bounced off her car, and smashed into the curb.. shattering his tibia and fibia(sp?). Kids screaming several neighbors came over sampson (dog) came running back on 3 leg. He laid down in the garage everyone immediately started looking up er vets.
She didn't stop, but she did come back. Said she wasn't paying attention it was her fault and offered to pay for all his injuries to fix him. Well was 1700 first night I pd. Surgery was quoted at 5100.00 we asked they offered 3000.00 secured the rest so he could have surgery through fundraising and such.
I have soo much going on right now, I work full time, school full time. My son just turned 18 last week we race mx every weekend. My mom's estate just got filed. Like just alot... it just dawned on me I can't go to any of the races as I can't put a crippled dog onto someone else.. like my whole summer is ruined being my son's last yr of racing, this bums me out.
I get mad like why am I begging for money when I didn't do it. Why am I making multiple 2 hr trips to the vet because of her negligence?
I messaged her all that pretty much and asked if she had any ideas maybe her car insurance would pay etc. Idk I'm just overloaded with shit right nowhe is a 100lb dog we had him home for a cpl days waiting for surgery and its not easy getting him in and out and babysitting his splint to not get wet.. baggiesnon his foot etc diapers on inside to not leak. Just alot.
She said we were hoping 3000 was enuff to help amd said take care!
So my quesrion is do i just deal with my stress load and max out my credit cards due to her negligence or run it through small claims?.
Am I at fault for the dog crossing the road? Or her for being on her phone? Cops weren't called, I can go make a report though and I have neighbors that she told she was texting too and would write a statement, they also heard her say she would pay for it all..
I just don't want to bring it to court and end up with a ticket, I mean I don't mind if I get a ticket but its her fault right? In the end...
I dont know what to do.. maybe the stress is getting to me amd I'm just being a baby with the 8-12 weeks of additional responsibilities I don't know anymore!
Thanks for any advice!

2024.05.16 04:39 BakedScallions Why does the T-1000 take the photograph of John?

A little detail I like from the first movie is that the T-800 has one look at the phone book, and that's all it needs before it goes out hunting down women named Sarah Connor. It's a robot with perfect memory. Kyle is a human who doesn't have photographic memory, so he rips the page out of the phone book and brings it with him
When the T-1000 visits John's home, it asks to see a photograph of him, but it also asks if it can take it with. This is before John's foster parents mention that the T-800 had been by earlier asking the same questions, so it wouldn't have taken the photo in the interest of preventing someone else from seeing it since it was unaware of any protector having been sent. But being even more advanced than a T-800, why would the T-1000 keep the photo? Either
  1. It knew that asking to keep the photo would make its disguise as a human more convincing
  2. It did anticipate the possibility of a protector, whether another terminator or just a human soldier, coming along and was hoping to remove the photograph as a possible means of the protector being able to identify John

2024.05.16 04:33 JifferWap Packages Sent To My Address With Different Name

Obvious scam. Just curious if people think I'm good at this point. This started yesterday when we got a package clearly from Apple with iPhones inside (didn't open it) with someone else's name and my address. Not ten minutes later someone came looking for it but we had refused the package at that point. This guy literally rang my Nest Doorbell and we have him on camera having a convo with me. He was nice about it, said he had a photo of UPS delivering it here, and said he completely understands and would've done the same thing, but if any more come to please not give them to UPS. I asked why would more come. He left. Today, a second Apple package came with the same name came and we refused it right then and there, and told the UPS driver this is a scam. Nobody came today or drove by slowly looking for it. I have cameras everywhere. Apparently they have been doing this to a house for sale in my neighborhood that is empty for a few weeks, and a couple days ago the house two over for me went up for sale. My theory is they meant to ship them there, but accidentally put my address instead. I've changed my UPS for now to hold all packages at a UPS store. I have a feeling they know my house is burned and to not come back, and acted nice because they were on camera now. But wanted people's thoughts. I asked the cops to patrol my neighborhood, but I don't really want to file a report because I don't want some form of escalation or retaliation over this.

2024.05.16 04:31 Plane_Vegetable790 Dog story

Dog story
My girlfriend brought me to the humane society of Springfield one day just to “look” at puppies because she knew I wanted one but was unsure of myself since I lived in a one bedroom apartment and I was a college student. I told the shelter employee I was looking for a German shepherd or German shepherd mix. They just so happened to have a dog named Alma. After doing the meet and greet I was not putting that puppy back in the cage. We took her home.
I named her Olive and Olive was not a chill puppy. It’s taken years of training and dedication to turn that chaotic puppy into the wonderful family / protection dog you see in the photos. She has this habit of eating the drywall next to where I sleep on my bed. This is not her first encounter with drywall either.
When we first got the house we left her uncrated in the basement with snacks, water and toys and a bed for when I went to work. I came home and she ripped a German shepherd sized hole in the wall and got into the other half of the basement. At this point I realized she didn’t like the basement. Weirdly enough she loves crate time and we never use it as punishment. It’s more like happy treat and nap time more than anything else since it’s 4-5 hours or like today I didn’t even go to work.
She turned into an amazing dog but when she turned 4 she almost died. My girlfriend noticed something wrong with her like she was having a seizure. We took her to the fanciest vet we could find and spend thousands saving her life. We found she has Addison disease and now takes 5mg steroids per day. Needs a shot once a month but she should lead a normal life expectancy as long as we give her those shots.
I’ve been dealing with some mental health issues and olive is really helping me. Nothing cuter than a puppy imho so it’s a real mood booster. She’s extremely sweet. Also a little bit tricky, she’s been caught on several occasions tricking my mom’s dogs to get their food when she visits.
Anyways that’s my dog and she’s currently squeaking her toy at me

2024.05.16 04:28 thatbitchfrm617 Brigham Women’s hospital wrongfully treated my father resulting in his death.

Brigham Women’s hospital wrongful treated my father. My dad has had cancer for two years, he was treated by a women named Dr. Summers, Operated on by a man name Dr. Abrams and his pain management team was the team that does rounds when you go up the elevator near the chapel to the fifth floor. In the end of the month of february to the beginning continued ging of March, my father had become severely confused. He was sleeping in and out of it, could not walk on his own, or do much for himself. My mother and I took him to Brigham on multiple occasions continuing to tell the doctors that something was wrong, but Dr. Summers SPECIFICALLY continued to tell us it was because of meds. (it was not) We went to the ER the first time on March 2nd, they gave my father fluids and said this was due to dehydration. then we went home, again had to go back because the confusion was worse than a person who has alzihmers, Again they gave him fluids and said it was fine. My dad left our home for the last time on March 6th, 2024 at 10:17 am. My mother brought him to the ER at Brigham In Boston, MA for the FOURTH time. They were sat in the lobby for hours, then moved to the fucking hallway. before finally around 11 pm they got him a bed in the ER bay. Mind you, me and my mother know how my father acts and we KNEW something was wrong. They were keeping him overnight for observation (finally) and giving him MORE FLUIDS!!??? Fast forwards to the next morning, me and my mother get to Brigham bright and early. We walk into the ER room that my father is still in? He is soaked in his pants due to unable to walk to the toilet, extremely low blood sugar, and NO one has helped him get any juice or food for it. No nurses have been in to see him at all that night. my dad was not seen by doctors untill the afternoon, they came and told us he had a UTI. which tracked the confusion and the other symptoms. We were in the fucking ER room untill that night, my mother wrote a complaint to the higher ups about what had happened in the morning, it was about 20 minutes after this that my father got moved to a room upstairs, we knew that he would be staying there because of the meds for the UTI that were injections because of the severity. My father was treated better upstairs, he was fed and monitored, he seemed to be getting better. it is now SATURDAY. March 9th 2024. (We have seen the doctors ONCE in the ER BTW ) My mother and I get to the hospital later that day becuase of another death in the family, we had a funeral that morning. When me and my mother get there, we see that my dad’s stomach has become enflamed. As soon as we tell the nurses that, doctors rush up becuase they think he has gotten to much fluid. Doctors come up, “NO it’s not bigger” “yes it is” BACK AND FORTH. Doctors tell me and my mother that in a FEW FUCKING DAYS he can get an ultrasound, why the fuck would a man as sick as him wait.. They tried to convince us that his stomach had not grown, they told us it looked the same… later that night, an xray tech comes in. we leave. Sunday morning, We find out that due to how badly the UTI was in his system, His bowel got a tear. Because of this, he would not be able to live at all longer. he was too weak to operate. he would die. if the doctors had checked and seen that he had a UTI sooner… My dad would still be with me. My father passed away on March 12th, 2024 at 3something pm.
Overall, i would not trust to bring myself or any family members to this hospital. The doctors and nurses are rude.. They are understaffed. They take on too many cases and are unable to help people untill on there death bed. I want to protest this hospital untill i’m dead, my dad should be with me. He was only 56.
thanks for reading

2024.05.16 04:28 Safe_Olive7382 Would you go back to this gym?

Social media is fake. All the glitters is not gold. That was my experience at this gym. After 4 months of working with them, I was ultimately unimpressed with the service I received. I started out the experience with a positive attitude, eager to work with them, and one thing after another soured my experience.
I was initially drawn to the gym because they are minority-owned, more affordable than other gyms offering group training classes, and the very impressive and beautiful physiques of the trainers on their IG. So I signed up for the New Year program, at the start of the year.
The program was, in my opinion, not worth the $500. For the 8-week program, the service was not very different from the team training, which is $154 per month. They advertised the program as also offering nutritional advice, and check-ins to measure progress (weight loss, body fat %, max reps for exercises, etc.). I followed up with one of trainers twice about receiving a meal plan, and he never sent it. They also never tracked our max reps. And while they promised they would track these metrics and offer the winner of the group a refund, it was never set up for anyone to win.
I ignored all of these things, initially, because I already have a meal plan which works for me, and really didn't expect a gym to give customers their money back. It's whatever they have to say, to get people in the door.
What first soured my experience, was one of trainers being highly aggressive, rude, and impatient in his tone toward me, during the first few weeks of the program. It was just me, him, and one other person, during one of the training sessions. Toward the end, I offered to take notes about my form, because I'm clumsy and I could sense his impending frustration. He then became very hostile with me, because I kept slipping during a kettlebell swing. I've been to 3 gyms, and no trainer has ever directed that type of aggression towards me. It be your own people. I had nothing but love for this trainer, would smile and greet him in the beginning. In efforts to make it a positive experience for myself, since I had already invested in the gym, I stopped attending his classes and just switched trainers.
Then, the gym decided to use our before and after photos for promotion on their IG, without asking first. There was no paperwork, where we signed away our rights away to photos or videos taken. They posted the photos for members to vote on a winner. I complained, they said they would take it down, and then didn't take it down. The attitude is to use people for promotion, charge a higher than usual price for the service, and then offer mediocre service.
When I reached out to the gym, to cancel after injuring my back by deadlifting too much weight during class, they were unresponsive for a week. I asked the front desk in person, was given a hard time, and deferred to the owner of the gym. Then, they responded that I could pause my membership for a month, but still charged me and never followed through. I had to contact my bank to dispute the charge.
There is also not enough parking for the people who go to the gym, and no AC, which is very uncomfortable in summer heat.
On a positive note, I did gain 3 pounds of muscle, learn proper form for some barbell exercises, and lessons were learned. Not everyone who worked at the gym was bad to work with. There were positive experiences. Would you back to this gym?

2024.05.16 04:26 teeheemf Being bullied at work, freezer spell not working

I've been severely bullied at work by my supervisor who is finding and making reasons to write me up every week, unsupportive coworkers who are either ignorant or collabs with my supervisor to make my life miserable.
I've been in such a bad place mentally that now I cannot sleep due to anxiety. I saw a video on social media (don't bash me yet) and decided to try a freezer spell after reading about freezer spells here and also around the internet. Ultimately, I did a freezer spell very similar and guided by this 7 year old youtube vid made by WhiteRaven and other blogs I've read.
This is my first time doing any spell. I did a freezer spell to stop my boss from writing me up. I also did a freezer spell on my coworker to stop talking about me. I also did a freezer spell for a client to stop nitpicking and to stop creating situations to get me in trouble.
I cut a piece of paper, wrote the name of the person, their birthday if I had the info, and the things I want them to stop doing. I folded it up, soaked it in vinegar, sprinkled some salt and pepper and then put it on aluminum foil then folded that. I put the folded up aluminum foils (4 of them, one for each person) in a ziploc bag and froze it. Then I took it out and brought it to a different house where I have an almost empty freezer. I then put the foils in an ice cube tray, filled it with water and vinegar and froze it into hexagonal cubes. I put the cubes in a glass jar in my almost empty freezer.
I had a good break for 2 weeks. The the people I put a spell on started doing their usual shit again... Two days ago, I took the cubes out, saw that there were some aluminum foils exposed and not covered in ice. I set my intentions and put the exposed foil parts in more water and froze it again. Then I smudge the house with sage and rosemary.
It hasn't stopped 2/4 people from tormenting me. I am breaking down at work and being stretched so thin. 1/4 (the coworker) always talks badly of me in a sneaky way. She'll make a snarky comment and make it look unintentional but many see right through it so idk if she's stopped or not because it takes time for her sneaky comment to get to me.
I just want to last until the end of June without any more trouble so that I can interview over the summer and move on from this hell.
What can I do? Did I do something wrong with my freezer spell? Is this not the right spell?

2024.05.16 04:24 Masta-Blasta OVO's Summer European Yacht Trip '22

I think in 6:16 in LA, Kendrick is alluding to the yacht trip Drake took his crew on in the Summer of 22. Kendrick mentions Ibiza, yachts, and a white t shirt. Also interesting, during that trip, Drake went viral for a video where a bee would not leave him alone. In Euphoria, Kendrick says "Shoo, shoo, shoo, Bee, bee, bee, bee, bee, bee."
There are photos of Drake in Ibiza wearing a white button down (w/ white undershirt). He was also mysteriously detained in Stockholm the night before he was photographed in Ibiza. OVO at first denied all of it, but Drake later confirmed that it happened, but did not offer details. Just said it was weird.
Also, he was with a 20 year old the whole time he was in Ibiza, Suede Brooks. Also, 6:16 PM in LA is 3:16 AM in Ibiza- peak party hours. I'm being a little crazy now, but what if the wine cooler stain on the white t-shirt referenced in 6:16 is referring to another disposed item of Drake's? Maybe a member of the yacht crew was asked to discard of it (due to the stain), but held on to it? I'm wondering if the yacht was, at some point, used to transport women through ports, and perhaps the Swedish authorities were tipped off about their plans, or suspected something and detained Drake and OVO? We don't know every stop they took on that trip or who they met up with. I can't find a timeline anywhere. Just Stockholm Ibiza St. Tropez
I am starting to wonder if Kendrick had multiple "EPs" at various hotels and security firms offering him intel. One is EP, with information about the night at The Mark. There's another who was on the yacht trip. My guess is that the yacht mole got paid, but EP did not, because of AK and Drake's bullshit. I think Kendrick got information from several people, and he picked and chose the information that would scare Drake the most. EP probably had the best items, which is why he made it on MTG cover, but this new EP had most juicy information, which is why it's the one getting referenced in the tracks. And that makes sense- you can get away with a lot more on a private yacht than you can in a hotel, particularly sex trafficking. Plus, if the second mole was a crew member, they would have been with OVO all summer. They would have a TON of dirt on the whole crew. Additionally, Drake has a terrible reputation with how he treats service workers. I would not be surprised if, by the end of that trip, the whole crew hated him.
We need to look into that trip extensively.

2024.05.16 04:22 z1ggy16 What kind of scam could this be?

Person (woman, I am male) friend requests me on Facebook. Their profile says they are from my area and I thought I knew them, so I accept. Messages me a day or so later, saying hey, just small talk. I figured this was a scam and I asked what they want, they say nothing just thought I'm good looking and what to chat.
I still figure it's a scam so I keep going since I have some IT skills and I like to mess with scammers. Long story short, she gets kind of ... aggressive? and says she would have sex with me, etc. So I ask for a pic of her, and tell her I will send a link to some pics of me. Link is actually infected with an IP Tracker, which they do end up clicking.
Oddly, they are in the USA, a few states over. I say hey, where are you located now.. and they say the location from which the IP is logging in from. Never seen this before. I never sent any photos of myself but obviously there are many on my FB page. She still asked for a selfie since the link didn't work. The pic she sent me was PG-13 but pretty "sexy" and looked just like the girl who owns this profile. Hasn't asked for money or anything but I have never in my years seen a woman go from HI how are you to, oh I'd do you, within 15 or 20 IM exchanges.
The profile definitely seems weird, like at one point it was hacked after being normal for some time. I noted this, and she said that she had to delete her FB for a long time and just recently came back. I asked why she found me and she said she was searching for somebody with my same first name. I'm so confused, because any scam I've been on the end of, they either have HORRIBLE English grammar, or they get to the chase pretty fast.
Has anyone had something like this happen? What is the chance this is actually a young woman randomly chatting me up, by mistake? I'm obviously insanely skeptical but the IP thing has me so lost.

2024.05.16 04:21 National-Ad-8200 My heart is full. #autismawareness #nonverbal "Love needs no words"

My heart is full. #autismawareness #nonverbal
My son is nonverbal and on the spectrum. We welcomed Jack into our family in December when he was just a week away from 6 months old after our Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix of 12 years passed away Nov 19th. It was too soon for me, but I knew my son needed another pup to love. He was heartbroken and crying daily looking for Eli and taking my phone to watch videos of him.
Enter Jack. His name was previously Atari, but he didn't seem to know his name as he didn't respond to it at all. We named him Jack in memory of Eli (his mix made him look like a Jack Russell puppy even at 12). Jack is our first Boston Terrier and I know Eli brought him to us. He is just perfect. If I tried to list off all of the reasons how or why then this post would be even longer than it is, lol. I know Eli made sure we ended up with Jack. We love you Eli, and we love you Jack!
This photo is from tonight of my son giving Jack his goodnight hug (I didn't catch his kiss in time for a photo)! 🥹🧸💙🐶🐶🪽
