Romanza: North Florida Saxophone Quartet

Romanza Festivale presents the North Florida Saxophone Quartet as they perform a variety of familiar music in a live concert in the Courtyard of St. Cyprian's Episcopal Church, on Sunday, May 14, 2024, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
The four saxophonists have each played with various ensembles worldwide, and North Florida music lovers have been delighted that each has made playing in this quartet a priority. They choose music from several genres — from classical to Disney — to create a lively show that audiences always enjoy. While the members of the North Florida Saxophone Quartet certainly focus on the sax, all of them are proficient with other woodwind instruments, such as the flute, oboe, clarinet, and bassoon.

• Paula Prince performs on the soprano saxophone and graduated from the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music.
• Charles Almeida performs on the alto saxophone. He served in both the U.S. Army military band and the U.S. Air Force military band. In addition, he has played with several well-known big bands such as Harry James and Tommy Dorsey.
• Robbie Zukauskas plays tenor saxophone and played with the U.S. Army Band and the Florida National Guard Band. Robbie studied music at the University of Central Florida.
• Bill Prince plays the baritone saxophone. He's a professor emeritus at the University of North Florida and arranges most of the music for the ensemble. Bill has also performed around the world with famous bands and as a solo artist.

Guests are asked to bring lawn chairs.
Admission: Free.
When: Sunday, May 14, 2024, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Where: St. Cyprian's Episcopal Church, 37 Lovett St. in downtown St. Augustine. The concert happens in the courtyard and attendees are encouraged to bring their portable chairs.
This event is part of the Romanza Festivale of Music and the Arts, an annual festival of two weeks of historical, cultural, and creative events celebrating all things St. Augustine. From May 3 -19, the nation's oldest city will be jam-packed with music and dance concerts, living history events and historical tours, live theater, and art exhibits.

• Submit a photo of your pet and start rooting for votes, each vote worth $1.00. Voting is May 1, 2024 at 8:00am through Saturday, July 13, 2024 at 8:00pm. And, you can vote as many times and for as many pets as you wish!
• The Pet with the most votes becomes the cover pet for the 2025 Sweet Things calendar. The next twelve pets with the next highest amount of votes will be a monthly pin up pet. All pets will enjoy a professional photo shoot with award-winning photographer Addison Fitzgerald.

Small parts: $45 Minimum charge AR small parts (LPK), handgun small parts, optic mounts, pistol grips, vert grips. Additional (S) items will be case by case. I’m not going to charge another $45 to do a dustcover for example.
Medium parts: Slides, grip modules, Shotgun/rifle fore ends, handguards up to 12”, upper receivers, collapsible AR stocks, ect: $65 each. Additional (M) items of same color: $55 each
Large parts: Handguards 13” and up, A2 stocks, shotgun buttstocks, rifle buttstocks, 18" shotgun barrels, ect: $75 each. Additional (L) items of same color: $65 each

Quick note regarding Pirate Ship. I no longer use it. I have had two claims denied by their 3rd party insurance due to being gun parts and accessories. UPS is also a no go. As of a bit over a year ago they explicitly restrict the shipping of ANYTING gun related (with the exception of rifle scopes) to authorized firearm accounts. FedEx is similar.
PUT. A. NOTE. IN. THE. BOX!: Please include a note with the color you are requesting and the number of items you are having coated, your reddit handle, and best contact info. Saves me so much time! I include this request with my shipping information, but I do occasionally get a package without any info inside. The has me searching through all my chats and message until I can find out who sent what and what you wanted done. You know how easy Reddit’s DM system is to search….
OPTICS: I do most optics including open emitters. Prices vary on the optic. PM for info.
DISASSEMBLY AND REASSEMBLY: Included on common items. Sight installation/swapping included (they will be centered, so if you had them drifted let me know ahead of time). Larger or complex items will vary in cost. PM me with what you have. If you have something uncommon I may need to source a tool.
TURN AROUND TIME: Does not include weekends. Times listed are for "clean" items. It's actually not uncommon for me to have single color items completed faster than projected.

CHARGE 2: Most spray painted parts are a +$10 surcharge. Slotted and quad handguards are +$20. Adds up to two days to turnaround as it can take time to remove.

Hi! I am a brand new bride-to-be and SO happy I found this group! I haven’t used reddit before but this came up in a google search, compared to some of the Facebook groups I browsed… this is a much better vibe.
So I am getting married in Texas and we are torn in a toss up between Austin and Dallas, as these are the two towns where partner and I grew up. (Haven't completely ruled out a destination, tho)
We have our wedding date picked out and today I started reaching out to some venues, planners, and photographers that caught my eye just to gauge what type of availability these particular vendors have, and to start collecting quotes so I know what kind of range I need to set my budget in. As of now I am tentatively at $200k for 85 ish guests. It's still flexible but once I set it, I'd like to stick to it, so I'm just in the research phase.
Here's my questions, if you have been a DFW/Austin bride. (and some general questions too I guess)

• Should I book my planner first? Or venue first? Pros or cons to one over the other coming first?
• If you also were looking between the two markets of Austin and DFW, did you find one had a better overall bang for your buck?
• Did you use a local photographer, or did you fly someone in? I feel like that's the only category we would bring someone non-local in, but so far it seems like there are great options in Texas to choose from.
• Would you use a photo and video team or just find separate teams? I just like the idea of them working well together, because I was in a wedding recently where the photographer and videographer..... very clearly didn't get along or work similarly. It was uncomfortable.
• If you DID use a photo and video team, did you find that they offered incentives for booking both together? Or was it similarly priced booking them separate? Expecting a large percentage of my budget to go to these two. (I'm most stressed about booking photo and video. Just feels like that's the vendor with the highest chance for me to have regrets or it to go wrong.)
• *edited to add this question now that I've gotten more quotes* What is TOO low on the pricing range, like red flag low, for planners and photographers? My favorite photographer so far quoted me $7k for digital and film for 8 hours for just wedding day, while another one that I liked as well but felt like had less creativity, was $13k. That's just wedding, not including welcome party/engagements/etc. They both sent galleries with the quotes, and I didn't see anything wrong.

Also random, but how did you track all the different formats of quotes? Is it normal for a vendor to send back a guide with set packages or do most of them just write out the number in the initial email? Or make you get on the phone to get a number? Thats been all over the place and I'm overwhelmed trying to track these since it's all sent so different.

Hey guys, a total gardening newbie with lots of love towards bamboos here :) I recently bought myself a Fargesia murielae (the seller calls it Moontears, not sure if that's just a marketing name or a different species). It came around a month ago, and ever since I've been riddled with questions...

1. It looks pretty stuffed in the pot it came, some cones are growing right along a pot wall. Should I be thinking of repotting it? Are there any bamboo-specific tips when it comes to repotting, or I can just check for roots coming out of drainage holes, same as with "regular" plants?
2. I definitely want more of these, but they can be pretty pricey. Ideally I'd have 5-7 more of those on my terrace, planted in containers, but this one I got cost me around 70 EUR. Is there a proper way to safely propagate them? Am I correct they aren't propagated via cone cuttings, only by division or rhizome cuttings?
3. If propagated by division, will these smaller divided parts add "width" by shooting new stems when planted separately, or they remain mostly as is and only grow taller? I wonder about the clamping-vs-running bamboo difference: when they say clamping bamboo doesn't spread, does it mean it won't even gradually fill the moderately sized pot? Or this means it won't spread for many meters like running bamboo would, but will still be able to fill a container with new shootings.
4. Should I even bother with trying to plant Fargesia murielae in Lechuza pon? I'm liking a lot about pon, starting with the seemingly good fit of a "thirsty" plant with good water retention quality of pon, and up to the decreased chances of getting parasites since it's non-organic. I also love the idea of "eternal" substance, unlike soil that can clamp and break down with time (I imagine repotting a large 2-3m bamboo in a container isn't the easiest thing to do). However, I'm already scared enough of cutting the rhizomes, afraid I'll do too much damage. Clearing the divided rootballs from as much soil as possible seems like even more stress for a plant. Should I go for it?
